It was, admittedly, pretty embarrassing to wake up on a train. And even moreso, to wake up on a train with no idea where she even was! The boom of a voice that felt more like it came from the train itself, rather than from the PA, jostled the girl into the waking world. Sure, she'd had a long day, but with a peek out the window, Michi had to wonder just how long she'd been asleep! This looked absolutely nothing like any area she'd been to before!
Despite the strong lack of people on the train, the silver haired girl attempted to subtly wake up, rubbing one eye in a feeble attempt to get a grasp on reality. A moment later, she'd stand up, giving a small stretch, and begin to step off the train. If she didn't know any better, the girl would have sworn she could hear the train snickering at her! Clearly, the embarrassment must have been strong, if that thought even crossed the teen's mind!
Then again, maybe Michi was still asleep. As her foot hit the ground of the city she'd wound up in, blue eyes met with many unfamiliar shapes and sizes and species, the girl had to stop in her tracks. Dreams weren't so easily identified as dreams, were they? At least for Michi, she didn't usually realize she was dreaming until she woke up! Was it one of those vivid dreams, she'd read about before? If so, that could be pretty neat! And for now, at the very least, it didn't seem like a nightmare!
Though, wow, some of these creatures certainly belonged in a nightmare.
Taking a few steps away from the train station and into the city proper, the girl reached into her pocket to pull out her phone. No service. What a clever dream! If she thought hard enough, maybe it would suddenly start to work, and she could call a certain relative for assistance? After several moments of making a strong face of concentration, it became very obvious it wasn't one of those kinds of dreams. So lame.
With a heavy sigh, the girl began to look around more, trying to figure out what to do in this strange place. The denial was strong. Or, maybe it was common sense. This seemed like a very strange dream, with no goals or plot driving her anywhere! But, it was also much too far-fetched to be real by any stretch! "These so aren't cosplayers," she mumbled to herself, watching a large, blue dinosaur walk past. How could anyone afford a costume like that anyway? And a city full of rich, cosplaying people?
No, that was pretty much impossible. Especially when she caught sight of a creature that was very clearly flying. No strings attached! How weird!
"Hello?" If this was a dream, all eyes would surely be on her when she spoke.
They weren't. Nobody seemed to even notice her.
"I don't even know where I'm going," the teen murmured under her breath. Was she lost, even in her own dreams? Was that even possible? As much as she tried to look self-sufficient in a situation as strange as this, it was probably painfully obvious that this girl had no idea what was happening around her!

It had been a long day of research, a long day of going about and trying to find volunteers. Most of his maids and even vivi were busy in the upper realms of his mansion. Toiling away at the various locales that needed attention. Normally he wouldn’t be the one doing this sort of work out in the realm of the city. Even the high class of this locale.
He had decided to take a break, sitting on a bench and relaxing while drinking a strawberry smoothie. His eyes were closed but that was just part of his species, he saw normally even with them like this. It was kind of frustrating to be honest but… He’d watch those pass him by without much care.
Up until a trailmon pulled up; this high in the city limits there were only a few that could. Some from the entry of the human world and some out from luminas. The high and mighty angels only troubling themselves with the lords of terminus. With a good reason.
His eyes however slowly locked onto a human that had stepped off of the train. A young female that looked absolutely clueless. One ear flicked, then two. He heard the word ‘cosplayers’ and it took him a few moments… His brain’s gears turned and there was a click.
This human had no idea.
Hearing that hello he’d watch that human be ignored. Slowly standing up; the human would no doubt notice him. He stood out like a sore thumb in comparison to everyone else. His gait, his poise. He understood what it felt like; he knew what it meant to be the center of attention.
He’d approach her, gently stepping. Her back was turned to him so he had a few moments to compose himself. His words were like liquid velvet rolling over the eardrums of those around him and his soft gentle demeanor was something that would be easy to work with.
”My dear, you seem to be a bit lost. Is this your first time in the city of terminus?”
He knew the answer, he knew it before she even turned around. She was clueless but his motion didn’t change. He had purchased two smoothies for himself, one blueberry, one strawberry. The blueberry one would be offered if she turned about. His hair shifting ever so slightly as he did so. Introductions were needed no?
”My name is galaxmos. What is yours?”

Was it normal in dreams, to have an observer off in the distance? Maybe. The concept had never crossed Michi's mind. And surely, it never would. Between the daze of sleep and the daze of being in a completely foreign place, she didn't even realize someone was approaching her. At least, until 'approaching' was no longer the correct word, as they no longer had any distance to remove between themselves!
The surprise-voice sent a tingle down the girl's spine, as she debated between several reactions. As luck would have, she managed to pick the calmest one. Quickly rotating on the balls of her feet, the silver-haired girl came to stare at...
A smoothie!
Could she taste anything in a dream? While Michi was pretty sure the answer was no, it didn't stop her from accepting the drink. "Oh!" she managed, after a small delay. And then? "I-" stop the word-vomit from happening, fast! "-like your hair!" Mane? Hair? Both? What was it? What was she even looking at, as a whole? Yes, a smoothie. But also a... goat? Lion?
Rhino-Unicorn?
God, dreams were weird.
"What's Terminus?" Obvious answer? Yes. Yes, this was absolutely her first time in Terminus. Then, there was a small hesitation as she looked at the smoothie that she had taken, "this isn't some Wonderland deal, where I'm gonna shrink if I drink this, right?" It was probably best to ask the question before she risked becoming ant-sized! Granted, in comparison to the kind stranger, she already seemed to be quite small. Maybe that was just more reason to be wary about shrinking!
But, some manners wouldn't be forgotten! When provided with a first(?) name, the girl would know to respond in kind! "I'm Michiko," she started, before adding another portion of her manners that had been on a delay, "thank you for the drink!" It most definitely was a drink, that much she was sure.
There was another nagging question in her mind, however. How long did she have to stand around until it wasn't considered rude to ask what a Galaxmos was? Because, human, he was definitely not! Was it considered rude in this dreamworld to ask the dream creature what species he classified as? Honestly, Michi had no idea how to handle a conversation in a place like this!

Galaxmos’ eyes ran over the form of the human girl in front of him; he had to guess she was younger than most and he earnestly believed that she had just woken up given with the way she was jolting about. He took his time; smiling softly when he noted her attention deviated immediately to the smoothie. He’d tilt his head to one side and he’d nod his head.
”Thank you, it takes quite some time to take care of. You wouldn’t believe the amount of shampoo I go through just to make sure it’s treated..”
His laugh was just as soft as his voice and he’d go to sip his smoothie, raising his brows as she asked the first question. What’s terminus? Second one made him snort and he’d slowly draw his hand away from his face; smoothie going along with it.
”Terminis is the city you’re in dear. More or less the center of the digital world in terms of commerce and travel. Ah… No this is not some wonderland deal. If the stall where I got it from wanted to stay in business they wouldn’t resort to shrinking their customers… It’s just a blueberry smoothie.”
He’d chuckle a bit and give her a small reassuring wave; as though she could go ahead and drink the smoothie. He’d flick an ear; Humans often had two names. A first and last. Knowing this head give her a small bow of his head.
”A pleasure to meet you Michiko. And of course, I hope you enjoy it.”
He’d motion to the nearby bench which he had been reclining on earlier; as though offering for her to sit with him. Moving to go do so himself; he’d take a seat and sip at his smoothie. There was a long pause before he spoke.
”But terminis is… just one of the many cities of the digital world. A place that you now have traveled to. This isn’t some fairy tail dream, some alice in wonderland sort of place. It’s one of adventure and second chances. Such a place you have been able to visit… If I may ask… What do you do in the human world? Many younger humans come here and are students but… You don’t strike me as the type.”
Another chuckle; a small smile and he’d go back to sipping his smoothie. It wouldn’t be long until he waved over the smoothie stall. Buying a second and third smoothie for himself… and another blueberry one if Michi wanted.
”This is also the high trailmon station, where the richer folks of terminus end up rather than going down to the dredges or slums… Suffice to say it’s rare for a first time human to end up here.”

This was probably the most ideal situation that Michi could have found herself in, really. Sure, a very tall mystery animal that talked was an overall weird situation. But at least he was nice! And gave her a smoothie! "I bet!" Hair care was no joke! Even though Michi's hair, at the moment, wasn't particularly long! "I used to have hair down to here," she motioned, tapping her hand against her upper thigh, "and it used a ton of shampoo." Of all the conversations 'people' could bond over, it would be hair products, right?
Though, it was definitely easier to understand shampoo, over what she was currently processing. So, she'd give affirmative hums and head nods while the creature talked. This was a lot of worldbuilding for a dream. Crazy stuff! Despite just having been reassured this was no Wonderland, it certainly sounded like something out of a storybook! "I guess ant-people money wouldn't be as good as normal-people money," she commented quietly, before taking a small sip of the blueberry smoothie. "Oh," she added after a second, "this is good!"
Smoothies were really the best way to integrate into alien societies, weren't they?
Giving a nod, she'd follow Galaxmos to the bench, taking the chance to heavily take in the appearance of the stranger, hopefully with him noticing less. Maybe he was an astral lion. Rhino Lion? She needed to stop trying to figure out what animal he could be, when it was very clear that most creatures in the area didn't even fit an animal description.
Sitting, and listening, seemed to be a good way of coming to terms with the idea that maybe this wasn't a dream. After all, the fabulous horse-lion-goat-rhino that gave her a smoothie told her that it wasn't! Who would question that logic, right? "I'm still not so sure that I'm not gonna wake up soon," she admitted, before taking another sip of the drink. Surely, Galaxmos could forgive a newbie for being a bit suspicious. Also, perhaps, for using 'dream' as a coping mechanism for 'mystery place full of monster things.'
It was weird to have a dream that involved talking about others, though. "Students?" Didn't students have other things to be doing? Like studying and stuff? Sure, she supposed it would be a good place to escape from schoolwork if this place was real, but still! Either way, it didn't seem like this was a place that mattered much on the girl's life and career moves. This certainly wasn't Shibuya. Or Korea! "I'm a pop idol," the silverhaired girl stated, using one hand to press her index and thumb together to make a cutesy heart. "I was doing K-pop, but I'm transitioning to J-pop, so I can live in Japan." Amongst other reasons, surely.
But, did any of that make sense to somebody who didn't seem to live in Japan? What had he called it, again? Digital World? "What do you do?" Did creatures here act like humans, and have jobs and educations? So far, it seemed possible!
Just like it seemed entirely possible that she would accept a second blueberry smoothie. "I spent all day practicing, so I guess I fell asleep on the train," she admitted, looking toward the smoothie guy for a moment. Probably something else that wasn't human. "I'm not even sure how I ended up here." Probably by being so tired that she'd somehow taken the wrong train! How she'd gotten to a train that led her here was quite the mystery, though! For some reason, it just felt so hazy!
"What do humans do here?" Hopefully, Galaxmos was ready for a million questions. A first-timer would definitely be asking plenty! Especially once reality fully set in!

Galaxmos raised his brows as he saw where she motioned, she had such long hair and she had decided to cut it? Practically a sin that would be if he did the same thing! He’d hum thoughtfully, one of his hands coming over to gently take some of the hair between his fingers. It wouldn’t be long before the smoothie was set aside and the large mon was fussing over her hair.
”Such wonderful use of treatment; many different varities and products… faint smell of them all easy to ascertain… Difference in type too mm… Easy for braiding. May I?”
Of course he was already fussing over her and if she allowed it she’d be sitting with some wonderful braids on one half of her head in almost no time. He definitely knew what he was doing. Flicking his ears forward he’d laugh at the mention of ‘ant money’
”Oh darling, it’s all bits here. Everything and anything can be bought with that. Your human money when it comes here transitions to the stuff and vice versa. Though I’ve heard going out is a bit difficult with it in some cases. Easier to just deposit the earnings into your banking. Ah! Yes. They’re similar to jamba juice I’ve been told?”
It wasn’t hard for him to notice that she was staring at him; but did he mind? No he loved the attention. Shifting and flaring out his hair from time to time. Even going so far as to offer the other to take a gander at it up close. He loved attention and if the other wanted to give it to him…
”Well let me tell you, it’ll be an interesting wake up if that’s the case. Don’t think I’ve ever met a human that could project themselves into the digital world astrally from the human one!”
Galaxmos snickered a bit and leaned forward, sipping at one of his drinks. It wasn’t long before it was gone and then even further so the other one that he had bought. He could splurge all day on those darned things!
”yeah, they use the resources here to study and figure things out. Many smart people here from all over.”
Galaxmos shrugged and then his face lit up in a huge grin; hearing that she was a k-pop idol shifting their work to J-pop it wasn’t long before he was practically gushing over the youth.
”Marvelous! You must be a wonderful singer, what sort of work do you prefer? What sort of songs have you done? Do you have any on you?”
His eyes were practically sparkling and the faintwraithmon paused; what did he do? Well this was awkward! He never said anything about his work!
”I’m a fashion designer, fashionista. I’m also one of the high lords of Terminus; thank my mother and father for that I suppose. Less work and just going to boring drivel. I design clothing and equipment for those that need or want it.”
He’d tug at his hair and after a moment a single thread of the stuff came out; he didn’t seem too bothered and with a snap of his fingers the strand would turn into a loose looking T-shirt. When it came to his own data it was really easy to work with so he could do just about anything with it…
”It’s likely that when you got to the end of the line, the train you got onto was really a trailmon. So it took you to the digital world to keep you safe. Even if it didn’t intend it that’s not too uncommon either. As for humans… I suppose that really depends on the individual. Some fashion themselves heroes, others explorers. A lot of them just do sight seeing.”
He’d set his hands on either of his legs, smiling warmly at Michi before signaling for the smoothie stall again. He’d hand the mon some bits and shoo him away. He was happy with how the smoothies turned out so… He’d likely end up buying the stall later.
”But if I had my way, I’d ask you to be a model for me! Humans are so hard to get a hold of and even when I do they don’t stay around for very long.”

With her hair under keen observation, the girl remained relatively still for a moment. A dream about hair braiding. Sure, she'd take it. Better than a nightmare, that was for certain. "Sure!" What was the worst that could happen? At least, if this strange animal managed to make a tangled mess, shorter hair was easier to comb. Though, it would quickly be apparent that there would be no need to fix her hair any time soon.
"Bits?" While Michi felt that, perhaps, this was meant to make loads of sense, instead, she could only envision bits of objects. Like breadcrumbs! Not particularly helpful. "Bits of what?" Clearly, bits and data had not made a connection in her brain yet.
None of this had made a connection, really. Maybe she needed caffeine instead of a smoothie. Still, no complaints on the smoothie, of course. No complaints on any free drinks or snacks, really! "They kind of are!" Michi realized, looking at her smoothie again. She hadn't been to a Jamba Juice in forever!
Galaxmos' flair of showing off certainly didn't go unnoticed! Nor unappreciated. Michi was still trying to wrap her head around everything as best as she could, including the strange type of creature that she was spending time with! Any moment now, she would have to wake up. Really. This dream already felt way longer than the norm!
"Well! Maybe I'm the first!" Surely not. More likely, she was utterly lost and in denial. Digital Worlds, or whatever, weren't real. That didn't make any sense!
Now, a more dream-suitable reaction occurred with the interest in her career. Unfortunately, a bunch of questions thrown to a dazed teen probably didn't get absorbed as well as it should! "I've done a lot of songs," she answered, trying to think through the answers. Did she have answers? Did she have sleep? "A lot of my songs are with a group, but I've got a few that are solo," she tried to keep up, while pulling out her phone. Would any of her apps work? It was hard to say, when cellular data ran the human-phone-world. Still she tapped a purple square, and hoped for the best. "I think I should have some downloaded," she added, while her music library popped up. Success!
"I only have the K-pop stuff on here, but this one's more poppy," she stated, while gesturing at song titles, "and this one's kind of an, ah," was this the right descriptor? "jazz?" Sure. Jazz worked. Either way, it looked like it was up to Galaxmos if anything stood out, or if he wanted to actually hear any of it at all!
Now, an idol and a fashionista certainly seemed to make a suiting pair of friends, didn't they? Perhaps, too soon to actually verbalize that, but Michi thought of most nice people as friends! Even if this people wasn't a standard human type of people! "That sounds pretty great!" While Michi had no room to complain on her own privileges, Galaxmos sounded like he had quite the enjoyable hand dealt to him in life!
Though, interest turned to awe with hair turning into clothes. "How'd you do that?" What a magic trick! Granted, it made sense if one remembered this was a dream! But, for just a moment, Michi forgot that little detail. Where could Galaxmos have hidden the shirt, to trade it out so flawlessly? Perhaps, he was more a magician than a fashionista!
But as the conversation continued, Michi found herself repeating a new word. "Trailmon?" Of course she wouldn't understand it immediately. But, within a few clicks of the hamster wheel known as her brain, a dramatic frown graced her features. One of pure, ridiculous betrayal. "The train totally did laugh at me, didn't it?" Poor Michi. It hadn't been her imagination!
Granted, the silver haired girl didn't have too long to pout about how rude a train had been. Instead, she zoned in on yet another word. "Heroes? Here?" Incredulous! Disbelief! Hands tightened on her smoothie, scrunching her nose while she tried to figure out how to construct her next sentence. "How are they heroes in a place like this?" Not really just a city per se. Maybe they stopped thieves or something! But... "Like, no offense or anything, but so many people are so big and fighty looking. Are the students that big, too?" Yes, Galaxmos. The big statement definitely referred to you. Fighty? Not so much. Astral Rhinocorn-lions drinking smoothies weren't really intimidating when visually compared to a giant dinosaur or guys with multiple wings and staves! Mostly because Galaxmos didn't seem to be carrying a weapon. But, she wasn't going to think too hard on it. Surely, if anyone tried hard enough, everything could be fighty looking.
A model, though? Could Michi be a fabulous model? "What if I visited often?" After all, she still had her human world career ahead of her! But modeling would be great! Yet again, the girl forgot that this was a dream, and dreams were awfully difficult to return to on a whimsy! "Modelling would be so much fun."

Well given the fact that Galaxmos was a fashionista and had a lovely mane of his own it was unlikely he’d muck up the other’s hair. He’d hum a little bit while he did so; only pausing in his ministrations when the other asked about bits. Bits of what exactly? He’d reach down and out of pretty much no where a small blue bit, no larger than a sugar cube would appear.
”Bits of data really, it’s excess that digimon naturally produce. We use it as currency in the digital world. You’d think that’d be a problem buuut...”
Galaxmos gave a small shrug and continued on; he was somewhat feeling like getting something to eat… that or he really just wanted another smoothie? He’d have to give that some thought after answering the million plus questions that this human had.
”Though they aren’t as wide reaching I’m afraid, just here in terminus.”
The faintwraithmon definitely enjoyed the attention that he was getting from the human. Even if it wasn’t a group of people he loved it when someone looked to or at him. He’d tilt his head to one side hearing that one bit in regards to the astral projection. As to test this out he’d gently give the human a pink on the shoulder.
”Don’t astral projections normally have no mass? I’m fairly certain this is your own body darling.”
Galaxmos looked actually somewhat surprised hearing that she had done a lot of songs; leaning to look at her phone with a curious eyebrow raise. He’d lean down to read the titles of the various songs she had on her music library and if allowed he’d take the phone from her. Pressing one of the bits so he could hear some of her more recent tunes.
”Having four ears, I generally keep to more gentle music. But it’d be awfully rude of me to not give some of your music a listen no?”
He’d chuckle softly and would sit there quietly, tapping his foot and bobbing his head as he listened to two or three songs. Deciding after that they could stop. He was curious and that curiosity was saited. She certainly had a lovely singing voice and the K-pop [or j-pop] role fit her perfectly!
”It can be great, but it can be also very boring! Especially with the people that don’t want to do anything other than laze around all day.”
He’d snort a bit and shake his head; he never regretted his allotment in life. Though he did wish that he could travel more often. He’d smile warmly at the question regarding the piece of clothing he made and with another snap of his fingers the item would vanish into that piece of his mane again…
”Well; some digimon are capable of manipulating various aspects of themselves. Since I can bend the fabric of space I can bend that ‘fabric’ of my own data a little more accurately. Thus the ability to well.. Make a shirt like that. Though unfortunately it doesn’t stay longer than a few moments. It’s great for visualizing though!”
He’d laugh and flick his wrist; the hair vanished and it likely rejoined his lustrous mane of hair. He’d lean to the side hearing that the train laughed at her made the mon get an incredulous look. They did have a habit of laughing at people didn’t they?
”Ah… Well the trailmon have odd senses of humour. When I first rode one they couldn’t get over my form; my rookie state is this little orb you see so… A million pokes and prods so to speak.”
He’d gently wave that entire situation off; she wasn’t alone and well if anything the mon understood her pain. He’d nod his head at that question; heroes were far and wide. Some mighty and some meek. But heroes all the same. He’d sigh a bit and gesture to some of the individuals walking by…
”Because heroes come from all walks, all strengths and all powers. Young, old, weak or mighty. They do their work even if the world doesn’t realize it. Some come, some go, some stay and some grow… but I’d say that without them our world would have long since grown into dust.”
Hearing that last part the faintwraithmon laughed, leaning to give the human a gentle pat on the head. She was positively delightful! He’d get a rather big grin on his head and give her well a wink!
”See I may be big, but I don’t look that fighty do I? But surprise surprise I’m actually stronger than you’d think. The students aren’t so big as they either have digimon parters, can turn into digimon or have armies of mons at their sides. And by my guess you either haven’t run into your partner, spirit or army~ I do hope that they’re cute or at the very least something I could work on...”
He’d sigh a bit and watch an angemon pass bye, measuring him up and down without even having to touch him. The mon’s ears flicked to one side and hearing her ask that question the mon brightened up considerably!
”Then I’d love to have you as a model! We could work on a contract, have to figure out the time displacement for you Hmm… Tut tut, I’d have to take you to my home so we could hash out details! Make things work and all that. It is fun! But it can be very stressful. But thankfully being what I am and having the resources I do makes things easier. I just hope you don’t mind measuring tape and trying on a lot of outfits. Mmm.. Have to work with the hair in your outfits too…”
He’d play around with one of her braids that he had made; looking contemplative and with a nod the mon would slowly stand up. Gesturing for the human to do the same. Given their location some would think he’d need to take a taxi but…
”Why don’t we retire to my home and we can figure something out? I can make you a starter outfit and if you come up with any ideas on the way we can talk about them!”
Galaxmos was beyond happy to have a human to work with; given her smaller stature something that would draw attention up to her face and roll in terms of form would be great. Something with slim arms, a gentle top. Some lengths of silver from a belt would work and if he had some loose bits that went up to her shoulders it’d tie in perfectly with her hair. His eyes seemed to be designing something on the spot for her given by the fact he was grinning like a fool.
”mm… any preferences on colors you’d like? Or to avoid? Ah! Yes any allergies to food by the way? I can have vivi ask the chefs to whip something up on the way there...”

Bits of data. Oh, of course. She should have known. Somehow, magically. Who wouldn't be able to just know that a place like this would use bits of data? There was a long hum, while the girl processed. "I swear, it's like we're in a video game or something." Or a computer! Then again, computers could run a lot of video games. So, maybe the answer was both!
If only these Terminus Smoothies could be found everywhere, though. "Gotta support local businesses, I guess," she shrugged after a moment. Local. Yes. Sure. That's what she would call it. Still not a real place, but why not consider it local to the dream place?
No time to think about it, though! If this were a dream, it would have been destined to end! The silverhaired girl let out a squeak at the pinch, and jumped a tiny bit. Cheeks puffed, while the girl instinctively swatted at the 'attacking' hand. "Stranger things could happen!" Michi argued. Sure, they could. Like waking up on a train in a totally different world!
Though, it made sense that someone with multiple ears would prefer gentle music, it hadn't actually crossed the girl's mind! Perhaps, because until today, she'd never met anyone with more than two! She'd have a thoughtful expression while the creature listened to the songs, and once he was free of listening? She'd immediately have to ask, "Do extra ears make the world super loud?" What else would they be there for? Fashion?
...Actually, considering who she was talking to, she wouldn't put it past him to have another set of ears for fashion's sake.
Just like how this magic trick was totally for fashion's sake. The teen would nod her head and squint her eyes a little, trying to wrap her mind around the entire process. Digimon were weird. Space powers were weird. "I bet everyone wishes they could make stuff appear out of other things." Luckily, Michi had thought this statement through. Because wishing people could 'make things out of their hair' was actually a terrible idea and would probably create a lot of creepy, ultra itchy sweaters.
At least she was reassured that the trains laughed at anyone, and not just dozing passengers. "An orb?" Pause. "Rookie?" Galaxmos, you just raised even more questions! "You saying that you're like, a baseball sometimes?" Was he a floating baseball? Did he roll? How did a galaxy lion-rhino relate to a baseball? Or a ping-pong ball? What if Galaxmos was ultra tiny sometimes? So many questions, so little time!
Still, Michi was clearly having a hard time grasping how students could be heroes. What were they saving, cats from trees? Were cats behemoths in this world? That would make it hard to save cats from trees. And, it would need some sturdy trees.
With the pat on the head, she looked thoughtfully over Galaxmos. Yes, large. No, not fighty. But strong? She guessed that made sense. Big things could definitely come off as strong, even if not fighty. Michi, however, was tiny and therefore not very strong! "What do you mean, partner, spirit, army?" Michi didn't know how to handle an army! She didn't want to join the military or anything! Digital or otherwise! And, well, 'spirit' was a concept that just went straight over her head. One could almost hear the 'woosh' of it passing overhead. Even though just moments prior he had mentioned people turning into digimon!
If only she would make that connection! But, maybe it was because the sentence prior hadn't implied she would be dealing with whatever these words were! Could people turn into Digimon? Were they like werewolves? Full moon and all? Just wait until she could finish processing all this! There would be so many more questions!
But, questions would shift to contracts, and the girl's blue eyes were absolutely sparkling at the thought. Modelling? Yes. Contracts? Surprisingly also yes! Michi was all about that business life! "I'm fine with all of that!" Measuring tapes and outfits? She couldn't even use sarcasm in pretending that it didn't sound like fun! "I've worn a ton of costumes, with the whole idol thing!" Which meant that Galaxmos had possibly found the least whiny person to drag through millions of clothes!
"Just, no hair dye, alright?" Michi had a reputation to keep with her style, after all! And even temporary dye wouldn't easily come out of silver hair too easily! Wigs, however? Doable.
Though, was it smart to go to the home of a strange creature? Well, he had bought her a couple smoothies! And, she was still pretty on-the-fence on if this was real life or a dream, so why not? "Sure!" A simple enough agreement! The teen stood up, ready to follow the Digimon to his home. "Do you live near here?" Were things generally in walking distance? She wasn't so sure how this place worked.
"I think most colors are good, though a stylist once told me I looked good in blue." Probably since it would match her eyes! As far as allergies went, though? There was a hum, before shrugging and shaking her head, "nope, I can eat just about anything!" At this rate, though, if this wasn't a dream, Michi was going to have to exercise a ton to burn all of these calories!
Of course, there was one more question to be asked. "What's a Vivi, though?"

”To be fair; data is quite malleable. You could compare it to one of your human franchises or computers. It’s all in the code darling.”
He’d chuckle a little bit, pulling out a small silver like bag. It contained quite a few bits; more than some would see in their lifetime. Or lifetimes. But to someone that didn’t have the concept of how many bits was… well. How many? It’d just seem like a lot of small blue flecks or pixels.
”Might do more than just support it if the recipes are right… Tut tut…”
Galaxmos smiled cheerfully and put the bag of bits away; flicking his ears and staring down at the human. Playfully acting as though the swatting offended him for a moment by covering his chest with his offending hand.
”That they could but I’d say darling that you’re just as real as I am. Maybe you should treat it less like a dream or video game and more somewhere that you’re at for the time being?”
The digimon tilted his head to one side and hearing that question let him know that well… she really didn’t understand did she? He’d smile sweetly and reach up, gently cupping one of the ears.
”I wouldn’t say so much loud as I hear so much more. For example me sitting next to you I get to hear a lot of things, the creaks and aches of your body for example. When you move I can hear some of your ligaments shift or when you breathe I can hear the pacing of your heart or of your lungs inhaling. It’s very… soothing in a way? Most digimon don’t have that sort of physical presence that your kind do. I hear a lot more and people don’t realize that music holds much more than just… simple tones. For me they hold a story just in a few simple beats.”
The digimon hoped he explained it well enough; the larger digimon shifted just a bit and would gaze at her with half lidded eyes. The small bits of his eyes that did make themselves known were… well fabulous to say the least!
”I’m limited in what I can do, I can’t for example just whip up money or an entire other digimon. But I use my mane or the excess of hair to control and manipulate the fabric of reality because of their data. I can do it in an explosive manner, dealing damage and hurting people. Or if I do it in a very limited and controlled fashion? I can make clothing or other small things. It’s just a simple twist that you have to learn to ‘roll’ with.”
Explaining that also made galaxmos seem to be much more dangerous than he intially appeared. Breaking the fabric of reality just for an attack? He’d tilt his head to one side and manage a big smile. Much bigger than his normal smile was ironically.
”Let me show you darling.”
The digimon would shift and stand up; his body taking a swath of passionate light for all of a moment to be replaced by his rookie form! A large almost basketball sized ball now that he was capable of being champion. Before when he was just capable of rookie it would have been much smaller. He’d hum a bit and his voice sounded a bit more other worldly.
”It made designing clothing a bit more difficult and I had to have vivi, my assistant work with me. She’s very good with her hands I’ll tell you that!”
His following laugh was almost angelic in quality; what with the double voices and gentle chords of laughter worked into every fiber. He wouldn’t stay in the form long and just would stretch. Cracking limbs and groaning as he was ‘big’ again.
”Ah. Partner digimon, like for example if I was to be your partner you’d have a digivice. The digivice and I would be linked. Then you’d have a limited influence on me at the start only for it to change when our relationship strengthens. Some people become so powerful they become heroes or villains. While others fade into obscurity. I almost had a partner but my parents refused him at the time and he eventually gained a new one.”
He’d pause after a moment, tapping his lip. He’d reach out, as if measuring her body in various places. Fashions and such. He had a simple grasp on her form that was getting more and more filled out with each passing minute.
”Ah ah ah… Spirits are digimon that have passed that haven’t re-entered the cycle of rebirth but are still tied to humans. Their passions from life become something that humans can tap into. For example a human with a strong affinity for fire will find a digimon with that affinity becoming something they can access. So they will be able to turn into that digimon for a limited time.”
If allowed the larger digimon would cup the human’s chin, turning her head this way or that. His fur and touch were exceptional soft and gentle…
”Hmm… accents for your hair and eyes will be a challenge but I think… no makeup is needed. Maybe the fur here…? Ah. Mm. Army? Well some humans will have a lot of partners. So many that they form a small army, the digimon link together in various ways and have so many forms that they are exceptionally powerful and well versed. Rarely will they be unable to cover every avenue of combat or experience. They are also so rare that there are only a few recorded instances of their happening.”
Galaxmos hummed a bit; flicking his ears. Long term contracts with humans were rare and she was sitting here just agreeing with that. He’d stare at her for a few more minutes; humming along and seeming to jot down notes here or there.
”Well if I have my way you’ll have a full wardrobe of items made by me specifically for you… Oh perish the thought sweetheart; I wouldn’t muck with your lovely hair. We’ll be working off of that rather than work it into outfits!”
He’d laugh a bit at hearing if he lived here, shaking his head and pulling out a small looking phone. A quick text to let vivi know that he wanted to go home mixed with having a human with him. One that he’d be working with for a while and that they needed a contract whipped up.
”Ah darling I live up in the clouds so to speak, my assistant will be coming to pick us up here in a moment.”
Staring down at her as she made mention of what color was good with her? The digimon’s eyes lit up and he’d jot down some more notes! Looking her over a few times over and then nodding to himself.
”I can see that blue would work well with all of you; it’d accent your form nicely and… Well lets see here… it wouldn’t clash and it’d let your hair draw attention then flow down along the outfit… we’ll need some lines here and here…”
He’d perk up and nod his head at hearing that she could eat just about anything! He’d have to let the cooks know to make enough for him and her for dinner tonight. He figured that she’d be around for a few days at the very least so they could go over other things with that.
”Oh? Vivi is my renamon assistant. She used to be my nanny but once i was old enough I hired her to be a helper. She’s basically an anthropomorphic fox. Though she tends to wear more clothing and since her eyesight is failing she has a larger set of glasses.”
With that in mind it didn’t take much longer before a car slowly came into view… but not from the street. From the sky! It’d hover a few feet off the ground, waiting for people to clear out before settling down to a height where both of them could get in. The door popping over and a loving [and somewhat lovely] female voice rang out.
”Mr. Galaxmos your ride is here. I take it that’s your contract?”
”Ah yes vivi, this is Michi.’”
If michi followed galaxmos she’d find herself in quite a spacious car; galaxmos sitting down on the far side of it so that she could have the entire back seat to herself. The larger mon was facing her and behind him? Well the driving compartment was taken up by a lovely looking, somewhat motherly seeming fox. She’d glance back and those golden eyes would take in the human before giving them a soft yet sweet smile.
”A pleasure to meet you michi. I’m vivi, I’m galaxmos’ assistant and with the contract I’ll basically be yours too when you’re here. If you need anything just let me know okay?”
Not another moment and the car would take off with both passengers in tow. Galaxmos barely noticed the shift and reached down to a small bar in the middle of the car. He’d pull out a pair of glasses, setting them down and pouring each of them a drink. Water for him and there would be a large assortment of juices for the human.
”Now I need to know one last bit of information before I can get properly started. Do you have any other outstanding contracts and do you have any guardians I should be aware of? I know humans tend to keep close to their parental figures and usually are with them until they reach adulthood… which also brings up the question of: “How old are you michi?””

At this point, it was probably best that Michi had met Galaxmos before anyone else. Who else would actually put up with all of her uncertainties and disbelief? Or her confusion over how those little flecks were actually money! "They're not even coins?" How weird! Somehow, it felt like confetti or something more than money!
"I could be in a dream or a video game," the silver haired girl chimed, with a wiggle of her finger. "VR can be very immersive!" Video games were powerful these days! "But I guess I could treat it more like I have finite lives and don't, like, test fall damage or something." Spoiler alert, the Digital World usually had fall damage!
Denial could be a pretty powerful thing, clearly.
But at least she was trying to understand the workings of the made-up world and its made-up denizens, right? It was probably the best way to get her to come around to the idea that the place was real!
"You should hear me after practice then. I get a ton of aches and creaks!" No, that probably meant Galaxmos wouldn't want to hear her! There would be a lot of old-people-esque groaning involved with that! As relaxing as the 'audiophile' might think it was, it would probably get really annoying after a few thousand knee-clicks!
Still, the girl seemed to be doing decently at grasping this whole 'making things out of practically nothing' thing that Galaxmos had going for him! "Can you make super cute mittens?" Why mittens? Why now? And why for a girl who didn't generally experience weather that required mittens?
These were the true questions of life, but Michi still needed to ask everything. "So, like, you make clothes and hurt people?" Weird combo, really. "Do you have to hurt people often?" Hopefully, the answer was no. Otherwise, she might have some qualms about getting into a vehicle with the galaxy goat-rhino.
It was probably best that for the moment, she still wasn't convinced of the reality of this place. Otherwise, maybe she'd also realize just what dangers she could be in!
But there was no time for danger when alien animals turned into space basketballs! There was a gasp of surprise, while Michi leaned closer to look at the rookie. "That is so weird." Pause. "No offense!" She'd just never seen an animal turn into a totally non-animal object-type-thing before! How could this be real?
Real or not, the girl would still lean away to give Galaxmos space for his return to the form she was more familiar with. "Why'd they refuse him?" Was it common practice to refuse partners? The idol still wasn't really sure what she was wrapping her head around. There was just so much! But, she would try her best! "Can you get a new partner, if you want?" Surely, it was more complex than that.
Like, something with a super tough ritual that may or may not be akin to summoning powerful demons and not dying while trying.
"I don't think I really have a strong affinity for anything," the girl hummed, tilting her head a bit, but otherwise staying relatively still for measurement sake. "Unless you count the whole singing and dancing thing." That didn't seem much like an affinity, though, did it? Especially not when compared to fire.
That was to assume that Michi even belonged in this world to have a partner or a spirit.
"I'm not a fan of armies," she admitted, still cooperating with her assessments to the best of her ability. Which, was pretty easy since she wasn't actually being asked to do anything! "Are armies for wars, like where I'm from?" Was that all that an army was used for? Michi didn't really know, even for the human world. It was never a topic that particularly interested her!
It was a relief there wouldn't be heavy makeup or hair alterations though! Which Galaxmos would surely know of, even with the tiniest of sighs that escaped Michi's lungs. And more relief that they wouldn't be walking far. Or, at all really. But, in the clouds? Was this a metaphor like someone's head being in the clouds?
Somehow, even dense-moment Michi knew that it wasn't.
But now, they were onto the topic of the Vivi that had been thus-far well-spoken of! "Anthropomorphic fox," the blue eyed girl repeated, slowly. "Like, she's a furry?" Michi, they're not actually humans! That could be considered rude! But she was, probably, actually fur-covered.
Despite being almost entirely expected at this point in the dream sequence, flying cars still caught the girl by surprise. "From the clouds," she quietly confirmed, with a nod. Expect everything in this place, she supposed.
Not wanting to waste anyone's time, the girl would follow the fashionista into the vehicle, taking a spot in the back seat. Roomy! "It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss Vivi." If she'd done introductions outside, she would have bowed! But, cars made bowing a less than ideal greeting, so she'd just have to be extra friendly instead!
Trying not to stare too long at the fox, Michi would just flash a smile. "Thank you!" It was really a fox. A legitimate, talking fox. Oh, this was still so weird. How could one girl cope with this? How did other humans believe this was real?
It seemed to be down to business now, though! Did contracts matter much between worlds? "I have a contract about music in Shibuya," the girl stated, "but it's only for songs that I produce to sell through their label." Surely, that wouldn't conflict with a modeling or clothing-related one, right? Otherwise, issues may arise! It had been a lot of work to get on that label!
"I don't really have a guardian. My parents are in Korea." Well, that probably made things a bit easier on that regard! Probably. "If they have to acknowledge something, it can only really be done through e-mail or fax." Was that a thing in the Digital World? Could files be sent to the human world? Michi really didn't know how anything worked! "Or snail mail, if you're daring." And, if you had the patience for postal workers to deliver things to a different country entirely! If the mail ever even made it!
Didn't Galaxmos know it was rude to ask a lady her age, though? Contract-wise, it was important anyway, and Michi totally understood that. "Seventeen." Then, a pause with a cheeky inquiry of, "how old are you?" Sure, he was asking for business, but Michi had every right to try to make a mysterious digital monster give her an age range! Every single right!

”It can be a bit strange to get used to, humans use coins and paper currency. And while they hold value here they’d eventually get broken down into bits for their data. Suffice to say money in the human world and digital are interchangeable. Though bits seem to be able to take forms of other currency even if they aren’t yen from what I’ve been told.”
Galaxmos gave a small shrug; his face splitting into a somewhat warm smirk. Though hearing that she thought this could be a dream or video game made him chuckle. He’d return that wiggle of a finger with a dismissive hand wave.
”As much as I’d endorse the idea that this could be VR it isn’t so… don’t go jumping off of cliffs or buildings Michi. Would be an awful waste of someone such as yourself.”
Hearing that she would get a lot of aches and creaks made the digimon snort a bit; Those would probably be more consistent if not a little odd to get used to but the mon would stick out his tongue ever so slightly. Unsurprisingly his tongue was just as colorful as the rest of him.
”Maybe another time Darling; I have to get used to the ones you make now.”
With her asking if he could make mittens, rather than affirming this with a nod or even vocalizing it he’d instead wave his hands and a thread of his hair would appear between his hands. It’d take a few instants but then there would be that strange flash of color and the mittens would be made! Of his own colors given his limited ability here but he’d offer them to the human. She’d find them incredibly soft and if put on? Well they’d be strikingly warm.
”Not very often no, Once in a blue moon there will be someone who isn’t happy with what I make or someone that wants to get into my vault but… there hasn’t been an attempt on that in decades.”
Heck even that time he didn’t have to deal with that; it was vivi who made sure that his sheer amount of wealth was all right. Hearing her reaction to his other form made the mon chortle and it wasn’t too long before he was in his introductory form.
”Oh trust me it’s weird going back to this form after having hands…”
The mon smiled a bit and wiggled his fingers teasingly and then came the question he wasn’t sure how to answer. He’d pause and rub at his chin musing a bit and then eventually decided to shrug.
”My parents are very rich, own a company, our company mind you and now this random human comes along and tries to take their only offspring away from them? I’d imagine they would be cross and… I certainly could if the stars aligned for it. The digital world is a strange and someone enigmatic place.”
Singing and dancing would definitely fall into having an ‘affinity’ for something. He’d chuckle and note that on his pad, eventually looking satisfied with the things he had jotted down. Hearing that sigh however made him pause. Along with the questions about armies.
”I would say that I’m not sure about the army part. I’m afraid that they are very rare and so is the information about them. As for the affinity? Dancing and singing? I’m going to make you look positively marvelous for both of those things.”
The mon smiled rather brightly and flicked his ears at yet another question. Like a furry? Anthropomorphic fox? It wasn’t hard for him to pull out his phone, do a brief search and show her exactly what he was talking about. Many of his maids, cooks and even his second was one so it’d be strange if he didn’t have at least one picture of them. The one he decided to show was his aid; the very mon she’d be meeting momentarily. A stern, somewhat older looking fox. Some smile wrinkles around her lips, tired lines under her eyes and most notably a few streaks of grey here or there. She was also wearing a somewhat business like top with a set of reading glasses. Very professional and aide looking!
”She’s quite a sweetheart. I know she’ll like you. Be warned she also is very stern so…”
Galaxmos let out a little cough and once they were in the car he seemed to be in a much better mood. Humming quietly as he went over his notes. He’d glance at michi and seeing her return that smile to the fox made him relax ever so slightly.
”Of course. Now if you don’t mind I’ll leave the two of you to it… Lots to consider while flying a car.”
Vivi snorted after a moment and it’d be a moment before a window slid up to leave the two in private. Kind of like one of those limo windows but it was reflective and… well. Was inlaid with something judging on the make.
”Hmm. Well I could offer guardianship for you if you’d really like. This place is probably just about as safe as you could get. Though it’s fine if not! Hah! Would just make it easier to do things here and wouldn’t have much bearing on the human world. Unless you really wanted it to but then I’d have to get a holosuit.”
Galaxmos snorted; really he wasn’t looking to be someone’s guardian but at the same time? He could easily do so. Regardless of her answer however; he was going to make sure that this young woman was taken care of top to bottom.
”Nearly an adult it seems. That’ll make things easier when you are. Most for singing and what not. Me?”
Galaxmos paused and furrowed his brow just a bit. He had become champion at a very very very young age really but had decided to keep to rookie for a while. It had been… two decades since that attack on his vault and… He’d twitch his eye and lean back in his seat.
”In human years? Twenty five. So not much older than you darling. But old enough!”
He’d laugh a bit and pat the human’s shoulder; resting his hand there and giving her a pretty cheerful smile. He’d shift a little bit and motion to the small fridge that was in the ‘car’.
”Would you like a drink? I don’t drink liquor unless I’m at parties and even then just for taste. So all stuff that’s in there should be stuff you can drink… Japan has an age rule of that stuff doesn’t it?”
