In the Digital World, there exists countless numbers of creatures that roam our land. Digimon of all shapes and sizes that coexist in harmony with each other. We have built cities, formed nations, and created entire communities that thrived despite our differences and needs. But what about the human civilization? But what about the humans, in their bizarre, backwards world where the weak thrive and the powerful beasts are tamed for their bidding and hunted for their amusement? What kind of lives do the members of these weak, yet dominant species live in their own natural environment? This is story about looking into these seven figures as they make their way through the world of the humans, the Digimon, and everything in between.
Today we're talking about the epitome of humanity, a creature so weak and helpless she's absolutely dependent on those around her to survive. And yet, not only does she survive alongside those stronger than herself, she absolutely thrives as well. How can this creature, weak even by human standards, still become so entwined with the lives of those physically, mentally, and emotionally superior to her and yet act as the centerpoint of what may be a burgeoning community?
"My name is Bear Gryzmon, and this is a series about humans in their natural habitat. This is... Planet Human!"
"The Nanamus Idiotus is a rare breed of human. Not only is she physically frail, but she lacks the mental aptitude to perform even the most basic of tasks to any sort of efficiency. And yet, she currently thrives in the Digital World, a place not known to be particularly favorable to humans."
"The Nanamus Idiotus, or Stupid Nanami, as known by layman's terms, is not a creature of any sort of prowess."
Bear Gryzmon, accompanied by his camera crew, had approached a sleeping pink-haired girl off on the roadside. The bag was mostly unzipped, so she was splayed out of the bag with a dopey smile as she slept. "As you can see, she lacks the basic understanding of how zippers work. But let's take a closer look at how this strange creature!"
Bear Gryzmon reached down and lifted up one emaciated arm. "Even by human standards, this arm is considered particularly thin and weak. This body is light and extremely easy to move around, see?" The Grizzmon lifted the little human up and down without the slightest bit of effort. As he did so, the human threw her arms in the air, then whished them side to side like she were in some kind of rollercoaster.
Bear Gryzmon set her down and stepped away to face the cameras proper. "And she lacks the mental awareness to even recognize that she could be in danger! A creature this weak and foolish is no doubt incapable of surviving on her own, especially in the harsh settings of the Digital World. And yet-"
"Hey, what the hell do you think you're doing to our human, ya bastards!?"
"Oh crap, we've got to run away, now!" Bear Gryzmon made a dash far away, but the cameras managed to film him doing so in a dramatic fashion.
"That was close... We had to run quite a bit in order to escape..." Bear Gryzmon stated, pretending to be out of breath like he had just ran for miles. But if the cameras panned even a little to the left, then they could still catch the area where they had just been.
"But what I was talking about earlier is what had showed up earlier," The Grizzmon explained. "The Nanamus Idiotus isn't a species of human that can thrive on her own. But she does have one special quality. Maybe it's due to some pheromones or simply because she's too pathetic to leave alone, but the Nanamus Idiotus has the uncanny ability to gather much more capable allies around herself. And we're not talking about some sort of parasitic relationship, either! This creature manages to endear herself so much that even the harshest, coldest creatures will warm up to her in some manner. Follow me and we can observe."
Bear Gryzmon led the camera crew through the woods, clearly making a detour to hide the fact that they were still just a few meters away.
"Right here, you can see the Nanamus Idiotus in her element; surrounded by those much more capable than she!" The cameras panned to an awake pink-haired human, still looking sleepy and still partially in her sleeping bag. Around her were a Terriermon that looked bored enough to look around every now and then, a Lopmon that was in the process of yelling at the human, and a Falcomon that was yelling at the Lopmon.
"What we have right there are three special cases in of themselves, but we don't have time to talk about them. Needless to say, the Nanamus Idiotus has managed to ensnare the three Digimon into doing her bidding. The Lopmon and Falcomon seem particularly afflicted by her strange powers!"
He pointed towards the Lopmon. "Do you see how the Lopmon is pretending to not be concerned with the Nanamus Idiotus's safety, yet is still insistent on yelling at her? These are telltale signs that even though this Digimon is not used to caring for others, she finds herself unable to distance herself from the human."
Then Bear Gryzmon gestured to the Falcomon. The pink-haired human seemed to say something, and the Falcomon immediately seemed to agree. "And look how the Falcomon hangs on to every word the Nanamus Idiotus says. Clearly this Falcomon is smitten by the Nanamus Idiotus's charms, and they're not even the same species, or even made up of the same materials!"
The camera panned back to Bear Gryzmon so he could give his final thoughts. "The fact that the Nanamus Idiotus's effects are so potent, despite the fact that she is still so immature compared to the lifespan of regular humans, proves that this creature is indeed going to be a threat to the Digital World if allowed to grow older. What she has planned to do with the powers she possesses are still beyond me at this point. But whatever her unnatural charisma brings her to do, it will most likely be a cruel and terrible event for the Digital World as we know it, and-"
"Excuse me, but you're kind of bothering us," A Terriermon popped up in the background. "So is there any chance you can film someone else today?" Even further in the background, the Nanamus Idiotus was waving into the camera with the same dopey smile.
"Hi mom!"
