It all happened so quickly...Rummaging through the files of her father's computer, speaking the phrase "I Am She Who Bestows" after it mysteriously popped up on the screen, the flash of light that followed, and now....two strange eggs. One covered in tiny golden spikes that are surprisingly not sharp, and the other as cold as steel and rather heavy in her arms.
She had awoken in the digital world with nothing but a backpack of her belongings that had been hanging on the seat behind her and these two strange eggs....She picks them both up, one in each arm, and looks around as if she's about to cry. "Hello?" Her voice resonates in partial fear. "Is anybody here?"
Sure enough, the flatlands are...well, flat....aside from the occasional shrub or tree, she couldn't see anyone. So she begins to walk onward in search of help.

Wintertime sucked in the human world, that was just a fact that everyone on Earth had to accept. Very few people had the capability of just going to a new area instantly with a completely different temperature than their home for a few hours then come back, all with very little cost too. Thankfully, one of those people was in fact Adrian Boriker, a Tamer of three years, and counting. It was very cold in Japan that day, so what better way to get away from extreme cold than with extreme heat?
Besides, Adrian needed to test out driving his new digital car, despite not having a license to drive legally in Tokyo. The Folder Desert was so open and vast with very little things to drive into that it was the perfect place to practice driving. With his trusty partner Shoutmon in the passenger seat, the two were cruising along the desert... less than effortlessly, but hey, that's why they were there.
"I LOVE THE HEEEEEAT!" Shoutmon cheered from within the vehicle as Adrian stepped on the gas. "I hate it when it gets cold back in Japan, let's just live here, Adrian!"
"You can if you want, I personally like civilization and internet more," Adrian replied with a laugh. However, the twenty year old human spotted a figure in the distance ahead of him. He would begin to gradually slow down the car as they got closer to the object, which turned out to be a... human girl? A teenager, by the looks of it. He stopped the buggy car completely in front of her, not seeing a Digimon accompanying her. "Hey, are you lost? You don't have a Digimon with you..."

The sound of the car quickly gets the attention of Tsumi, having her turn towards it with her two digitama eggs on hand. Not knowing who, or what was in the car she takes a few....pointless steps back as it approaches. When it stops her obvious focus shifts to the Shoutmon, eyes widening as she reaches for what appears to be a kendo sword on the ground.
"W-who are you? Where am I?" She asks as she takes the wooden 'weapon' in one hand, barely able to hold it due to the two eggs in her possession. "Is this the sahara? Austrialia? How did I get here?"
She had so many questions about this, her stance being defensive but clearly disturbed. on the ground lays a pink and white over-the-shoulder pack that beeps a few times with a light emitting from it, to the lack of her attention. "And what in the world is a digimon? Is that what that thing is?! Don't...let it bite me."

Adrian's suspicions were correct, it was indeed a teenage girl that was stranded in the middle of the desert. But she was also carrying... two Digitamas? Was this girl a BRAND new Tamer? It certainly was lucky that Adrian and Shoutmon happened to be in this area at the time, who knows what would've happened if they weren't?
The girl's eyes focused onto Shoutmon in the passenger seat, and of course they widened with either surprise, fear, or both. Natural response to Digimon one could argue, and it only reinforced the fact that this girl was indeed a brand new Chosen, or Digidestined or whatever term you preferred to use.
The sight of Shoutmon probably scared her a bit too much, as she grabbed the kendo sword on the ground and raised it up, asking who this random person and monster were and where she was. Adrian hopped out of the car and raised his hands to show that he meant no harm. "Lower your sword, alright? We're not here to hurt you. I'm assuming you suddenly came here from Tokyo, right? Well so did I. I'm Boriker Adrian, and that is my partner Shoutmon."
The girl then began to ask what a Digimon was, deducting that was what Shoutmon was... along with requesting that he didn't bite her. "Unless you're secretly a human-shaped chocolate bar, he isn't going to bite you. Don't worry."
"Just give him some time to explain it to you, alright?" Shoutmon asked from within the car.

Her eyes widen a bit more and her mouth narrows when the shoutmon speaks, nearly falling backwards in shock. "It can talk?!" She exclaims, taking another step back. "O-okay. Just stay back, and explain everything. Please. I don't know how I got here. There was....there was light, and eggs, and I touched one of them, then I woke up here and Idon'tknowwhatthehellisgoingon" She says in a clear state of panic.
She takes a deep breath, and hugs the two eggs close. "Okay. Alright. First, where am I?" She asks clearly.
The glow from her pack brightens just a bit, and she lowers her kendo sword to the ground. "My name is Tsumi Urumi. I was going through my dad's computer files then a lot of weird stuff happened then I just...woke up here..."

Shoutmon was clearly offended when he was referred to as an "it" by this new human. "Of course we can talk, we're not all savages. I'm also not an it! I'm a he, got it?"
"Shoutmon, I really don't think that matters right now," Adrian said in response to his partner. This girl's mental state clearly wasn't great either, because she was really freaking out, and rightfully so. Adrian understood her feelings completely but she was still in a state of panic, which makes people do out-there things sometimes.
Thankfully the girl managed to calm herself down, lowering her sword and revealing her name to be Tsumi. "It's nice to meet you, Tsumi. Now, you're not gonna believe what I have to tell you-"
"Adrian?"
"Not now, Shoutmon. Now, you're in a place called the Digital Wo-"
"Adrian, something's happeni-"
"Don't interrupt, Shoutmon."
"THE BAG IS GLOWING!" Shoutmon just yelled.
Adrian blinked and turned his attention over to the bag that was just laying on the ground currently. Sure enough, there was a bright glow coming from within it. That must've been what Shoutmon was trying to tell Adrian about... now he just felt bad for treating his partner like that. "That must be where your Digivice is... sorry about that, Shout."

"The digital...?" She mutters as this guy's partner called 'shoutmon' points out her glowing bag. She flinches at the sight, then looks to Adrian. "Digivice? What even is that?" She asks, carefully putting the eggs down to dig through her pack in search of the light, looking over to the shoutmon on occasion out of worry.
Then she finds it...wait, she knew what this was. Or, well, not what it was, but she had it before coming here... It was a D3 digivice, clad in maroon, black, and gold with the screen shining brightly. Tsumi carefully stands up, and squints at the shining brightness. "What's it doing...?" She asks.
Then, the sounds of two simultaneous cracks emit from her eggs and the light dims. She looks over to the eggs, then to the shoutmon. "What do I do?!"

"A Digivice is like a human's connection to this world, which is known as the Digital World," Adrian said, finally getting to explain what this place was. "The Digital World is an alternate dimension, a world like Earth but everything is made of data." Adrian raises his left wrist to show his own Digivice, which he wore like a watch. "Only certain people are chosen to have these, and if there really is one in your bag then you're one of those people."
Tsumi rummaged through her bag and pulled out a strange device. It was a D-3 model Digivice, which is what most Tamers had with them. The screen on it was glowing brightly, and Tsumi asked what it was doing before the two Digitamas she had suddenly began to glow as well.
"Your Digimon are hatching, Tsumi," Shoutmon answered. "And it looks like you're one of the few that got two Digimon!"
"Just remain calm, Tsumi, this is perfectly normal." Seeing new Digimon hatch was always an exciting event, he wondered what kind of Digimon those two would be...?

"I don't get it!" She exclaims, stepping closer to the eggs nervously. "Another world? Digimon? Digivice? Why....why would my dad leave me something like that? Is he here?" She asks herself with a frown. "I...don't get it. At all." She repeats.
The eggs crack one more time in unison. "But these two belong to me...?" She carefully leans forward to picks up the eggs, taking a deep breath. "This is not normal. At all. Like, not by a longshot."
The eggs then both flash in light as the shells split in half, with their tops falling down to the ground. And inside were...two really small digimon. Both of them being able to fit in the palm of one's hand. One was a fuzzy ball with a leather shield tied to its head, and the other a golden sphere with a dangerous looking sword horn.
They both blink and begin to look around in curiosity, not leaving the lower halves of their eggshells as Tsumi freezes where she stands, not knowing how to respond. Like a child near a dog they've never met before, thinking it will bite them.

"It's a lot to understand, you may need some time to wrap your head around the whole thing," Adrian said in response to Tsumi's worries. He blinked when she asked why her dad would leave her something like this, though. That... wasn't how it worked, was it? "Digimon aren't usually just things parents give to their kids, Tsumi..." He remembered that Tsumi said something about looking through her dad's weird files. "...what does your dad do for a living?"
Tsumi did indeed have a point about having Digimon not being normal at all, to an outsider. Adrian spent three years involving himself in the affairs of Digimon and Digimon-involved people, so this was normal to him. It was at this point that Shoutmon stepped out of the car, standing next to Adrian. "It'll be normal to ya in no time."
Then the eggs finally hatched, revealing two small Digimon. One with what looked like a sword on its head, and one that had what looked like a shield on its head. Adrian had to smirk about that; a sword and a shield as partners.
Tsumi simply froze, not knowing how to respond to the two baby Digimon. Adrian knew that feeling well, it was the feeling he had when he first met Shoutmon when he was Tsumi's age. "They won't hurt you. At that stage they can't hurt anything. Do you trust me?"

"My dad worked with net security...he made firewalls for companies, and the government. The day he went missing I found it in his office." She says, taking a deep breath as she looks at the two digimon. "H-hello?" She asks.
"HELLO!" the golden one screams with its tiny voice "HELLO HELLO HELLO"
The small fuzzy one just hides under its leather cap.
"It's just...repeating me? I guess it is a baby after all..." she says with a giggle as her posture eases. She takes a deep breath and moves to sit on the sandy ground, crossing her legs. "This is all so sudden...I don't know where this is, or what I'm doing here, or who these two little ones are...or who you two are for that matter. I mean really know."
She shuffles through her pack after moving the shield-hatted digimon to her lap, pulling out a small, half eaten granola bar and holds it out to the two fresh digimon begin munching on. "So....if this is another world, where in that world is this?"

"That's... strange," Adrian said, looking at his partner. "We're amazed even some forms of the government know about the Digital World. Could he have possibly encountered them on his own?"
"Doubtful. We're super sneaky when we're not big and wanting to rampage against everything. Humans can't even tell I'm not a Digimon when I wear that large blue hoodie!"
"They could probably still tell that something was off though, Shoutmon."
The two Digimon that hatched were definitely adorable. The sword-headed one was definitely energetic, hopping up and down and trying to say hello, and the other one was trying to hide underneath its own cap. Tsumi seemed to want to know more about what was going on, or why she was here in the first place. "That's the thing... no one really knows why this happens to certain people. The best that anyone can do is to help newcomers like yourself come to terms with it all. We can explain as much as you possibly need to know though."
As she fed her newly hatched Digimon, Tsumi asked where in the world they were in right now. "We're in the Folder Desert, somewhere in the Western Flatlands. There's tons of places to go here if you ever decide to go exploring!"
"Though you'll have to have some kind of protection if you do go exploring. The Digital World is very dangerous to non-Chosen humans."

"D...dangerous?" Tsumi asks, frowning. "What kind of danger? Other digimon? Are some of them feral?!" She shivers, and uses a thumb to try and pet the shield-ball...only to have it whimper and turtle up again, causing her to recoil her thumb.
"These two are babies...how long will I have to wait before they can defend themselves? Or me?" She asks, frowning. "I don't want to be here for years, and years...I still have things to do..."
The two digimon finish the bar after a few moments and jump to the ground to bounce around and enjoy being alive, as one does, and Tsumi stands back up.
"How long did it take uh...Shot-man to grow up?" She asks, pointing to the red digimon with headphones.

Crap, I probably shouldn't have mentioned that yet, Adrian thought as he saw Tsumi's reaction to the thought of the Digital World being dangerous, asking if there were feral Digimon out there. "Well... yeah, there are. But there are also a bunch of towns and cities in the Digital World, filled with civilized Digimon. Those would be the safest places to be."
Tsumi was worried that it would take years for her Digimon to grow up to be able to protect her. In response, Shoutmon simply laughed a bit. "Oh you're not gonna have to worry about that. Digimon lifespans are not all all like a human's. I'm sure those two will grow up in no time if you feed them enough!"
"One thing you'll definitely have to get used to is how much Digimon eat. Shoutmon eats enough to feed a small army, and then some. I realized early on that I was gonna have to limit his food."
"Ah come on Adri, I'm not that bad," Shoutmon insisted. "...at least not anymore."
Shoutmon blinked in surprise when Tsumi got his name horribly wrong... "Shot-man." That wasn't even remotely close. "My name is Shoutmon, got it? Shout. Mon. Not that hard at all!"
"Honestly, he arrived to me while in that form," Adrian answered Tsumi's question regardless. "I acted pretty much like you when I first met him... then we started to open up to each other, and I'm glad I gave him the chance to do so."

She winces as Shoutmon, surprisingly, shouts....figures. "I-I'm sorry, Shoutmon." She corrects herself, standing up as she looks down at the two babies. "Could you maybe give me a ride to one of these cities? I don't want to trouble you for long, but...I don't want these two to get hurt because I traveled alone, aimlessly."
She begins to pack her things back into her bag, biting her lower lip in thought. Her first goal: get into a safe area. Her second: Go back to the real world and figure out what her dad is doing...
"Say, uh...is there any chance you'd know how to just go back to the real world? Can these Digi-mon things come to the real world?"
Meanwhile, her two digimon begin digging in the dirt, using their horn and shield to get a small hole about 2 inches deep to nestle in and look proud about themselves. Tsumi carefully lifts them from that crater, and holds both of them in her hands.
