For the longest time, the hardest thing that silver had to endure was the silence between the strikes of his hammer. The hardest thing was just measuring his tempo and adjusting himself. Bringing the lightning down from the maelstrom to his anvil. He could feel the pressure and he could feel the want, the desire and the absolute fortune of the steel in front of him. Bound to electricity and cradled in his power. He felt their shape continually take form.
But it was never enough; and the energy he spent always felt wasted. He would strike the steel again and again. Chittering to himself in the ancient language of where he had come from. Mumbling to himself about how it wasn’t right; how things could have been different. Thousands of imperfections only added to the blade’s personalities. He saw every edge and every bit of weight that the blades had.
In some cases it was too much, in some cases it was too little. But that was just how it was; someone would want each and every blade he forged. Every single one of them ahd a purpose that just needed a hand to guide them. Some would be better for fencers, some berserkers… and others this strange amalgamation of skill. A whip made out of hundreds of little blades; a boomerang that sang while it flew. A bow that was more a sword than a bow…
The list went on and on, each was given it’s attention and each was given a test run. Each one was loaded with his energy; crackling and spitting vibrant explosions much like a thundercrack in this maelstrom that he worked within.
He’d growl to himself as the newest blade was given life. It was a bastard sword for some; for others it’d be a broadsword or longsword. Hell he even knew to him… it’d be a shortsword. It made him laugh at the idea there. He was huge compared to the regular mon. Or at least who he would be making this for.
He’d step outside into the storm, the wind blowing his fur around and the crackling of the lightning outside was perfect for him to test the measure of the blade. He’d snort a bit as a bolt of lightning seemed to singe his hide… only for it to crackle along his form and work into the blade. Allowing for him to test a strike against a test dummy.
He’d shake his head and set it aside; deciding for the moment to take a break of his forging to look over his terminal.
It had been on his mind for a while; a particular name. A particular group that wasn’t metal drive. His forging had been in an effort to distract himself. But seeing one name had made his mind and core flutter.
A particular Toki Akiyama. An individual that he had met before; or rather an individual that he had met along with his prior ‘owner’ of sorts. He had considered contacting him and asking him to come to where he was working. In the midst of this storm, in the midst of this place that would be dangerous regardless of the time you came around. It was an ever storm, one of the few in the world and one of the strongest there…
It’s reason was to hide him and his signal from the world. But he couldn’t help but want to reach out. To tell his story with steel. Tell his story in the only way he could to the others. Show his power and show what he was working on. The last blade.
The only blade that mattered. His blade.
So he sent a single message to this particular individual. All it had was a set of coordinates and a suggestion to bring along something that would help against lightning strikes. Other than that? He left it wide open and if Toki even bothered to look into it he’d simply find that no one lived out there; that there was no nest, there was no town. Rightfully no one should have stayed there.
It would be madness for a regular person to do so and like that it already was interesting to those that knew better. Silver wanted to say something other than those coordinates but he felt if he did… Toki might not show up at all.
So he started to get to work; setting up some grounds and getting back to working on his blade; the only blade. The one thing that could ground his existence to this world...

A message from a Digimon named Silver...that name was very familiar to Toki. This Digimon was sort of a one-time mentor to him when he was first getting his bearings on the Digital World. but after that first meeting he never saw him or the spirit user that had him again. Now he was a Digimon again? Whatever happened to Kan?
Those questions and more would be answered as soon as he met Silver once again. Having rented a boat from Whitewater, one that was fixed with lightning rods, Toki sailed towards the maelstrom that Silver had made his home for one reason or another.
What would drive Silver to live somewhere so dangerous? There was certainly a serious reason for it, but that was not his business for the moment. Perhaps he could offer his assistance somehow. He stopped the boat far enough away from the maelstrom. He wasn't sure how to get his attention in the middle of that chaotic storm, so he had to hope that a significant data signal could be detected from within.
Toki pulled out his Digivice and quickly swiped his hand along it, the burst of data powerful enough to pierce through the maelstrom, but localized enough to avoid unwanted attention. The mass of data that Toki was enveloped in took shape into a powerful Digimon wielding an impressive hammer that he kept at his side. He rested his free hand behind his back as he awaited for a response from Silver, uncertain how else to approach the situation.
Being Tsusagimon was draining, but over time he was able to retain the form for longer periods of time. At the very least he would be able to hold a conversation provided nothing brought the two of them to battle, which he highly doubted would be the case. Still, he couldn't quite understand who would isolate themselves out in a place like this, though he supposed Silver must have had his reasons. He understood full well the desire to be alone and isolated, though he also knew the dangers of being alone for too long. "Silver...just what have you been up to?" He muttered to himself.

Silver regretted that he and toki had never met a second time; at least while he was still attached to kan. But that was hardly the reason for him calling the spirit user to him. It was hardly connected to the curiosity that he had for everything else. He had heard whispers; many people did. But one of the proper reasons he reached out… was hearing about that fuffle in rosewood.
An honest to goodness sovereign; so that must of meant that toki himself likely would have dealt with them. And from what he had heard… well. He was capable of channeling that kind of energy; the self same energy that silver was having issues with. Even if it was from a different one all together.
He didn’t feel his arrival; he didn’t understand that toki was there. So he kept smithing; the lightning and resounding thundercracks matching word for word those that were natural. But it was at that last swing of the weapon that he felt that powerful burst of data; one that sent shivers down his frame.
He’d turn his eyes to the outside of the maelstrom; a small frown creasing his lips. Was that what had become of toki? Something that powerful? Then again it had been years and not everyone would stagnate like kan had. He’d set the sword off to the side; marveling over it for a moment before stepping out of his forge.
”I suppose it would be hard to approach with this…”
Silver huffed a bit and pulled himself away from his forge. The lightning crackled around him and after a few moments… A pulse of power that Toki would no doubt recognize or at least the blaring signal of something far more powerful than anything rightfully should be at this level... Cleave through the maelstrom; ripping through the nasty torrent of water and natural lightning to force a semblance of calm. Allowing for the other to approach properly and safely.
While silver himself took a seat on the beach of his small island. Much like a dog would take a seat in front of the door of their home, waiting for their ‘master’ to come home. But in comparison? He was far larger than any dog and far stranger than most. The lightning crackling and bouncing off of his frame and up into the clouds above. Practically drawing in attention for those that cared.
That being said? Silver would wave from a distance to encourage the boat to come forward… They had a lot to catch up on he figured.

Toki patiently awaited for Silver to make his presence known that he was here. He took a deep breath as there was the slight fear that this might have been a trap of some kind. It wouldn't be the first time such a thing happened. However, his thoughts were interrupted as the storm was suddenly torn asunder with a surge of powerful data. It was an impressive sight, such a massive storm suddenly giving way to calm waters.
On the island that appeared in the wake of the calming storm, Silver awaited Toki's arrival. Toki brought the boat to shore and anchored it nearby before leaping onto the island to meet with the Digimon. He slowly walked forward on the sandy beach and looked up at the crackling skies "It appears in the time since we've last seen each other you've become something of a storm god." He said with a soft laugh, happy to see that his friend welcomed him. The crystals above his head rotated slowly.
"It's been so long and I have so many questions, but I won't pry if they are things you would rather not speak of. What happened to Kan, and what have the two of you been up to since we met? I'm sorry I never reached out to either of you again. My life has been...busy. Very busy."
He wasn't sure what else to ask, though he had a calm, pleased smile as he was glad to be in the company of a friend again "Forgive me for saying so but something serious must have happened if you're secluding yourself out here where it's so dangerous. Is anything the matter? If you need help I'll be more than happy to hear you out."

Silver would eye the approaching… he wanted to say rabbit? Hare maybe? The ancient_anubismon shifted in their seat and watched quietly. It took a few minutes before they were able to get to the shore but thankfully this little abode of his had everything one could want to visit. It wouldn’t make sense if someone he wanted here couldn’t stay for one reason or another! Silver titled his head to one side as the other made a little joke. The dragon let out a small chuckle; though to toki it’d sound a little bit like chittering.
His words for a moment were rough; ancient sounding but. Given the fact that his spirit was from a long long time ago… It wouldn’t be hard to understand him. THough it’d probably take a few moments for the other to understand him.
”Somewhat. My core’s rotation is so high thanks to the energy that it’s engorged by that it’s next to impossible for me to burn through it all. So yes. Storm god sounds appropriate hah.”
Silver swished his tail and watchd the crystals rotating; he was curious about this form. He was curious about that weapon; his eyes flicking and taking in everything that he was seeing. His ears flicked forward and he’d hesitate…
”Kan and I were separated nearly a year or so ago. When we went to the desert together to answer a distress call we instead were greeted by a mon we had never seen before. One that took us within it to fight in some… alternate dimension. After losing that we came back out to see azulongmon. The sovereign. It attacked one of our allies that were nearby and… well we were caught in the attack. It was so powerful it purified every spirit other than myself and nearly killed kan. He’s somewhere in the digital world and he’s still okay. But it separated me from him and introduced enough energy to allow me to be reborn. Albeit… Now I have the energy of a sovereign coursing through me and I’m constantly stuck in this form. My allies are pretty sure that the next step after this will be azulongmon.”
Silver glanced out towards the clouds as the maelstrom started to kick back up, the two of them would be fine where they were at and the boat that toki took since it was moored would also be fine. It’d just be a tad windy for the two of them. Silver let out a small sigh and rubbed at his chin; giving toki a small grin.
”After seeking out some help for this we decided that it was for the best that I find a place where I can work and not be disturbed. If people discovered that I was a host to the power of a sovereign, or a least a fraction of it… it’s hard to say what they would do with me or with it. So I’m basically in hiding. This storm is so powerful that it’s nearly impossible to figure out where I am or how to get in here without my blessing.”
Silver reached out to tap at the other’s chest, his eyes drawn to the various accents and what not. But what he noticed above all else was that scar. He’d tilt his head and motion to his forge. Where they could retire for the time being.
”You’ve been busy as well I can see. From what I remember you were just starting out but from what I can sense… you have most of your spirits on you now. Or at least a fair amount of them. Kan still hasn’t gotten any more than his rookie one; I think he’s afraid to step out again or perhaps a bit worried to get caught up in affairs only to be cast down a third time. So tell me toki, what have you been doing? Your form and your weapons tell me how you’ve grown; but that scar begs another story.”

He smiled at Silver's enjoyment of Toki's comparison to storm gods and kneeled down to listen to the story he was about to tell. Apparently he and Kan had been separated a year ago, a pain that Toki understood all too well. Silver said that they were caught in the crossfire of a Sovereign's attack that wreaked havoc on Kan and destroyed a vast majority of his spirits. While he was thankful he and Silver were alive, he couldn't help but feel sorrow at their loss.
Silver seemed to have gotten out of the situation with energy of the sovereign, similarly to how Toki got a small fraction from Ebonwumon "I've encountered Ebonwumon, myself and assisted them on multiple occasions. I still have a fraction of power gifted to me from them when they awakened. Are you holding up okay, though? You seem fine, physically, but if there's something that you want to talk about feel free to tell me."
Toki nodded slowly at his reasoning for hiding away "I can understand that fear. Being used for agendas you want nothing to do with, or being forced into some kind of call to action without any say for yourself...your secret is safe with me. I won't pressure you to do anything you do not want to."
He looked down as Silver tapped at his chest before he stood up to follow him "I have been. A lot has happened since we last saw each other, and I have gathered all of my spirits...the primary ones, at least. However, he's no longer able to speak to me. When I was in danger, he sacrificed his consciousness to save my life." He frowned upon hearing Kan's situation "I should meet with Kan again. I can empathize with his fears and hesitation...very much so. This scar...I got it near the time I met the Sovereign when I battled alongside other Digimon to save refugees from a MetalPhantomon. Its scythe struck its mark here." He gestured to his chest "I thought that was it for me but...I refused to let myself die at that moment and continued my battle."

”I’m… stuck in this form due to some issues with my power regulation. Thanks to azulongmon’s lightning that sparked my rebirth it’s slowly cascading into what I think… might be the end result of becoming a somewhat less powerful azulongmon. I might even be a heir to the lost stability of the dark area. I’m not sure but trust in me when I say that no avenue is being overlooked. As far as the mental space? It’s… odd being alive again. Having choices I can make other than my spirit user.”
The dragon shrugged a bit and mulled things over; flicking his ears and staring at toki. Hearing that the spirit was gone saddened him; he remembered quite a bit about that spirit. Sighing softly and fully opening the door for his guest. Toki would find the abode fairly humble if not somewhat generous in the ‘lazier’ portions of the smithy home.
”He would welcome you I think. Do not be surprised if seeing him you don’t recognize him… he’s a changed man. The dark path he was on is no longer one he treads and the weight on his shoulders has lessened greatly.”
Hearing that toki had fought for others; how he had gotten the scar. How he had cheated death? The ancient_anubismon paused and seemed unsure for a moment… before chuckling and starting to prepare some tea; his lightning sparking along the outsides of the teapot. Heating up the water to a boil in a matter of a few minutes.
”It never ceases to amaze me. The human drive to succeed. To overcome. I think digimon can learn a few things from your kind. I know I learned more from kan than he did from me. Doesn’t feel very fair come to think of it.”
The dragon mused a bit and poured out two cups, moving to stir in some tea packets and the dragon eyed his guest for a moment. So he wouldn’t pressure him into doing anything he wouldn’t do?
”You wouldn’t be the first to say that and then ask me to help in other regards. I’m no fool toki; but you’re one of the few people I would assist if asked. But first… let me see that weapon of yours. Many of the weapons I have forged since my rebirth are… not quite up to snuff and you can learn a lot about someone just from what they wield. I won’t damage it but I do need to see some things about it...”

"Azulongmon...another one of the Sovereigns. I see we share that in common." Toki said with a cheerful look on his face. Always the type to see the bright sides to events, Toki was one to persevere in the name of making someone's life a little better or at least alleviate worries they may have.
He nodded to Silver as he explained that he was doing everything in his power to figure things out, but also that it felt strange to be in control of his own body again. Being able to make his own decisions again must have been liberating yet odd at the same time. From what Silver was saying, it seemed Kan had turned over a new leaf and that life has been a little better for him "I'm glad to hear it...I'll just have to get in touch with him somehow."
Toki smiled softly "It's not just a human drive. At least I don't think so. Everyone has the drive, and the right, to succeed. They just need the right motivation, and the right goal. Maybe that drive is a very human thing...but like you said, humans and digimon have much to learn from one another."
He pondered for a moment as he paced around Silver's home. Then he had an idea and his form shined brightly as he shifted from Tsusagimon to Kenshimon. "Well I have something to share with you." He held out his weapon, a guardless katana in a shimmering white scabbard. The blade itself was as blue as a starry sky and shined like one too. "This form has been entrusted to me by Tsusagimon. It's a mixture of my humanity and his strength, or so his final message stated. It has gotten me through...very trying times, especially against enemies on par with a Digimon of this level."

”I wish I could share your enthusiasm Toki, Azulongmon seemed to be furious that they had to wake up to address the D-reaper. But them appearing proves to many they are more than we gave them credit for. Undeniably powerful individuals that have sacrificed so much to protect us. So it was our job in turn to do the same.”
Silver had heard that the statues had been put under protection; one after the other. But with only three of them around it made him wonder quietly what would happen when the three statues that remained broke or were forced out of their shells. Would the D-reaper surface again? He’d bite his lip and nod his head slowly.
”He’s not hard to find. I just haven’t approached him due to… well our paths have firmly diverged and it’s not fair to either of us if we met once more. Maybe someday when we both feel it right but for now we remain apart.”
The dragon tilted his head as toki spoke about humans and how everyone had the right to succeed. Motivation? Goals? Silver considered his own and stared quietly at the forge. Sitting in the makeshift kitchen for a moment as he considered what to serve his guest. He’d perk up a bit as toki told him he had something to share with him and even took a new form!
There was some kind of intensity he wasn’t expecting; the dragon’s form shivered and he’d adjust himself quietly; the ancient power in this form spooled up a little bit and a line of electricity danced from his primary arm all the way down to his tail before stepping off and into the storm. But with the weapon being held out all six of the dragon’s eyes locked onto the blade. Silver would reach out and gently take the blade; admiring the craftsmanship; the edge, every little detail of the blade was examined and silver couldn’t help but flick his ears as toki explained the form.
”A gentle soul giving their human a final weapon to fight against their enemies. The blade itself tells me much of what that mon had to say; a saddening tale of such a peaceful person. But I wonder...”
Silver would present one of his own blades next to the one he was holding; weighing them and using toki’s blade he’d gently tap the sword that he had crafted. With a snort it wasn’t a surprise that the masterfully crafted blade that came from this super mega form practically shattered the other at a mere touch.
”It knows it’s master well and is quite powerful just like the form. I can never hope to match the weapons that come with such powerful forms until I come into that same sort of power I think. Did I tell you that my old master was of the same level as I? Yet he has become in such a way that he hasn’t been able to grow in the thousands of years that have separated us? I remember looking up to him as a rookie and now as… this I look at him and wonder why.”
The dragon would set down the broken sword and give toki back his guardless katana; the weapon was etched into his memory now. It was something of a marvel he felt; one of the few weapons of that level he had ever been able to see. The ancient_anubismon exhaled slowly and picked up his broken weapon once again. With a bit of a flick slowly a new blade made of electricity would surface out of where it had been broken. Staring at it quietly as it took a similar shape to the one that had shattered it.
”Every blade has a song it sings and when cut short it takes the one that had done so. Even if I forged a new one for it a thousand times over it’d still remember the bite of your blade. People are a lot like that too I’d think and your enemies if they live still would remember yours. You’re very powerful, gifted and a good friend toki but I worry for you seeing this.”
The digimon sighed a bit and set the broken sword into a display; the lightning wasn’t going away and it crackled faintly after silver removed his hand from it. Like it needed a master or wielder to truly blossom.
”I think seeking out kan will teach you more than I could ever manage; but… I’m not about to just send you away after you just getting here! Are you hungry? Thirsty maybe? I can show you more of my work and perhaps you can tell me more of your adventures?”

Toki gave a sympathetic smile to Silver "The Sovereigns' rage is understandable. They're powerful, they protect us, but a lot of people grew reliant on their protection. I certainly know that protecting everyone is a tiring job, so I can sympathize with their frustrations. It's time to move on from the Sovereigns and let them rest. We need to push forward and become stronger, kinder, and prepare the next generations to be stronger and kinder too." He said. He laughed and brushed his chin "Look at me, talking like I'm some old man. I swear Tsusagimon's influence gets to me sometimes."
Given their circumstances, it seemed that Silver and Kan have cut ties for the time being. It was sad to see, but he understood why. It would probably be hard after being separated in the way they were. "Well you two take all the time you need. As long as you're both happy and content with what's going on."
He let Silver take the blade for a moment and listened in on his musings regarding it. Toki had a look of somber reflection, but ultimately smiled at the memories. He was surprised when he tested his blade and destroyed one of his own, but it seemed like he was testing the strength. He took his sword back when it was presented "It's only a matter of time, Silver. You'll reach the point where you can craft great weapons...maybe even greater than this sword of mine." He watched as Silver effortlessly repaired the sword that he had just shattered in genuine admiration "Incredible..." He didn't know what to say in regards to his old master. All he could do was nod along.
Toki sheathed his katana and frowned a bit "Would that fewer things needed to feel the bite of my blade. There are many times I wish I could have prevented fights entirely. I've always believed the greatest battles are the ones left unfought...maybe that's just the dream of someone who refuses to let go of his ideals." He said with a nervous laugh. "I realize that in this world, one needs power to back up their beliefs. To defend themselves and others. But real power comes from character, integrity, and virtue...the meekest Rookie could be stronger than the most powerful of Megas. It all comes down to spiritual strength and kindness..."
He smiled at Silver's invitation "Please, prepare what you would like. I would love to stay for a time and talk."

”Well without them the D-reaper run rampant. Eventually we won’t have their protection and that day will be something akin the apocalypse. I’ve done my research toki and I’m worried about it. If we let them rest we’ll need to be ready for the consequences of our actions.”
Silver frowned a bit; he didn’t have a problem with the idea of letting the gods rest but… they did need some contigencies if that was the case. He’d rub at his neck a bit and tilt his head; hearing the others mon’s name again fille dhim with a soft sadness. He was really gone huh? That must have hurt both in body and soul.
”I think we need a lot of time to heal; we spent a very long time working together and… well that’s just the bit of it. We don’t want to get locked into having to work with one another again. We want to be our own people. Or at Least I do. I don’t think he needs my guidance as much as he needs to breathe.”
Was that being happy? Were they content with this choice? Silver consciously made it but he believed that kan didn’t know that silver was around. It was better this way he figured. The mon hummed a little bit and turned his head to toki; laughing quietly at the idea of him being able to craft a weapon greater than toki’s.
”Perhaps, but I’d rather not fly too close to the sun lest my wings burn off. I did that once and I’m lucky I can speak from experience. Maybe once I reach a similar level my craft may be able to evolve further; higher forms often have more perception, more power, a better understanding. It’s like the difference of a human toddler and a fully functioning adult.”
Silver hummed a bit; knowing the topic of his master was best left unbroached. The smith was a master in their own right but… no longer held sway over the jackal dragon. He’d drag his fingers along one of his swords, comparing the edge to what he had felt from Toki’s blade. Certainly sharp but… they were in a different class.
”Sometimes life is like that, you can’t win them all through words and you can’t win them all through fights. Your ideals are what you hold onto, and if that’s how you wish to do things then who’s stopping them? And yes that is the sad truth. But there’s not much that can be said of that. I do believe you are correct but there are many that would disagree with you.”
Silver sighed a little bit and he’d motion for Toki to to follow him into the covered portion of his humble abode. The kitchen wasn’t fantastic; practically rudimentary. None of it was powered up but with a small flick of his wrist the lights hummed, the oven’s light turned on and… well the only thing that seemed to be runnin g already was the fridge. Was silver giving that it’s own well? Or was it just because there was a large battery attached to it?
”Some tea ought to do… and Hmm~ Fish and rice is all I really have out this far.”
That being said? It wasn’t hard for him to whip up some tea for the both of them while the oven started to warm. It was a simple tasting one with a strong flavor and equally strong smell. Probably due to silver being the one making it from local fauna.
”It’s a bit bitter; but it helps soothe the nerves. The leaves from the plants around here also act as a great muscle relaxant when mixed with some of the berries. Surprisingly.”
Silver snorted a bit and leaned to look down at the oven, the light was still on and well… It was heating up well enough. He’d frown for a moment and cast a glance to toki.
”So with me being so out of the loop… I haven’t been able to really see the growth of you and others that I’ve known. But their spirits seem to have gone in hiding while you grew more and more. What do you think is the next logistical step for what you want toki? You do have goals right? The last time we met your eyes were full of curiosity but yours are now filled with purpose.”

Toki simply shrugged a little bit and kept his positive, optimistic outlook "When the time comes, we just have to be ready for it as you said. Nothing is unstoppable, and there is no problem that can't truly be solved. Somehow, someway, we'll pull through." He said with utmost confidence. The D-Reaper was a truly terrifying force, but why did it behave the way it did? There was much that was still unknown about it, and there had to be secrets out there in the world. Perhaps if the Digital World came together, and maybe even collaborated with humans, an answer could be found.
He tilted his head as he contemplated what Silver said "I can understand that. Wanting to be your own person, living life and making the decisions you feel are right. One's decisions are important and unique to them, though input from others is also invaluable." He said. There was a moment where he closed his eyes and thought for a bit longer "I'll admit many of my decisions were influenced by Tsusagimon's guidance. I'll always appreciate his advice, but I need to learn how to stand on my own two feet as well. I think that's what he would have wanted for me in the end. To use his guidance to make sense of my own life and decisions."
Silver was cautious and humble. He didn't want to go for anything too ambitious right away lest something go terribly wrong, but he still pursued self-improvement. An extremely admirable array of traits.
All Toki could do was smile "Of course there are those who would disagree with me. That's where discussion blossoms. I believe that true peace can be achieved when those of differing ideals can find a common ground and work to coexist despite their differences. To let go of grudges and hate. To just live the lives they wish to."
"Tea, fish and rice..." He repeated with a nod "That sounds lovely." He said as he took a drink of tea. The bitterness warmed his body and rejuvenated his senses "Ah, I like this blend."
"My goals are to help unite the Digital World one city at a time. Beyond that? Establish a proper connection with the Human World, though that will take much time and effort to convince both sides that it would be for the best. It will be a long and difficult road, but it's not one I walk alone."

”Heh. This is true; there’s already forces in motion to make sure that we all are ready.”
That confidence was somehow more endearing that the words that were said. The dragons gifted a bit and mused over what toki was getting at. Pull through? Yes. With great effort anything was possible and with the two types of people… humans and mons? They would have a vast array of abilities at their disposal.
”He would be happy that you said that. Happy that you’re as strong as you are even without him. He did a good job as a teacher and I’m glad that I can see those teachings in you. The fact you recognize what he wanted and where you want to go from all of this are very important.”
Silver would reach out to place a large hand on the other’s shoulder; giving it a firm squeeze to make sure that toki understood that the digimon was there for him as well. As strong as he had become no one needed to stand all by themselves.
”Well disagreement is the spice of life some would say. As long as it’s discussions and not… battles I believe we are moving forward properly. Hopefully people will give you the chance to address them in such a manner.”
That soft smile spread across his face and the dragon adjusted again; going about to sip at his own tea. Flicking one ear to listen to toki’s goals the digimon rumbled and set his glass in one hand; the other counting for something apparently.
”Unite the digital world one city at a time? Many of them have differences that come down to just how they’re programmed. Terminus always has money on the mind, luminas justice, whitewater… well I will admit I don’t know much about the fair city. Rustport is all about survival and from what I hear rosewood is fairly peaceful. Connecting to the human world will be… difficult. The differences between humans are stunning and many mons don’t know what to think about them. I have my own grievances but they were addressed after a long time. But I’m glad that you think that this can be done and I’m glad that there are others that would walk with yo- Oh!”
Hearing the ding of the oven the digimon would pull the fish out of the ‘fridge’. Placing it on a pan and quickly pushing it in. He’d work on getting the rice ready as well; thankfully both weren’t hard to make while talking either…
”You definitely have walked a different road than what i could have envisioned when we first met. It’s a pity I wasn’t there for more of it really. I feel like I’ve let you down a little.”
Rather than seeming sorrowful about that last part; silver was instead chuckling and even more so went back to drinking his tea. Looking like he was actually pretty happy with how things turned out. Even if it meant he was split from his ‘tamer’ and now was talking to an old friend’s ‘student’. Who on their own had become a master of sorts.

Toki lowered his head for a moment and thought about what Silver said. He would be proud...and his teachings were shining through and living on in him...yes. These were things to take pride in. To be happy about. "I appreciate this, Silver. Truly. He was always so kind and thought of others, sometimes to a fault. I've been doing my best to find that balance between my actions for others...and taking care of myself. It's a hard balance to strike, but I do my best."
He smiled softly "Yes, there will always be disagreements and that's okay. We just need to learn to voice them verbally instead of letting them stew in a manner that will only harm us. Though...this is also why I train myself to battle when I must. An unfortunate truth is that those with power will use that power to harm or destroy. I want to have the power to counter those people, since sometimes you must fight for your ideals."
"Is it really as simple as programming?" He asked sincerely. "I don't believe it's that simple. Humans aren't hardcoded towards specific personalities or behaviors. We can grow and learn throughout our lives. Our thought processes can change with time. I believe the same is true for Digimon regardless of where they come from. I don't care if I don't live long enough to see our worlds coexist. But I want to at least lay the foundations for such a future."
Toki waved his hand a bit "Don't worry about such things. We can't change the past, and there were many circumstances outside our control. You haven't let me down in any way. I am curious what kind of road you expected me to walk, however." He said, curious. "Either way, we're here now. The past is set in stone. The present and future can be molded by actions today."
