bit by bit i'll take back my hue i'll take back my hue "Uhhh... yeah, this is Duffer and Kapurimon. You two, this is, uh..." She paused, then pointed to the newcomer. <Rai.> She was really getting in the hand of causing the English language to start crying with how bad she was at the subject."Erm―" She glanced back to her hand which had started to ooze blood since its washing. "Uh, my hand's fine, d-don't worry!" She held her good hand up in a defensive motion while stashing the other arm behind her back to hide the wound. "L-lemme just wash this a little better and then I'll be right back!" She quickly retreated to the kitchen again, popping her head back into view to say, "Um―I guess good luck with your translator for now! I'll be right back!" before moving back out of view.Oh, goodness, this wound was really starting to hurt. She washed it out (again) before finally reaching up to one of the upper cupboards to pull out proper bandaging, then began to bandage the bite. |

Rai turned his attention to the Digimon babbling excitedly in a language he didn't understand. He took his phone, eyes darting to where he had last seen Eika before she left his line of sight, and set a few things in the translator app. "Alright, that should do it..." he muttered before holding down the central button near the bottom of his phone and speaking into it. "Hello, I am Rai Ryuichi, Nice to meet you."
<Hello, I Rai Ryuichi am. Nice to you meet.> droned the translator. "If you speak to my phone it will translate for you. So I can understand you. Translation is not perfect." he said to his phone before the translator droned again;
<If you speak to my phone it will translate for you. So I you can understand. Translation is not perfect.>. With this he knelt down and offered the phone for Kapurimon to speak to.

Kapurimon blinked, looking at the phone. "This is a really weird digivice..." He mumbled, trying to look it over. <This is odd Digivice.> The translator said, Kapurimon blinking.
"Wait, is there another digimon in there? ...And where's your Digimon? I wanna fight something so bad right now..." Kapurimon had a brief thought of fighting Rai, but only got as far as imagining swallowing the human's head before being picked up by his tamer.
"Ugh, sorry about that..." Duffer sighed, rolling his neck and holding the back of his head. "My name's Duffer... sorry about Kapurimon... he's a handful around others." He bowed, recalling what the phrasebook told him. He looked over at Eika, worried. "...Between you and me... what do we do if these things run on werewolf rules? If she ends up as one of these digimon things we're both in deep trouble..."

bit by bit i'll take back my hue i'll take back my hue Eika washed out her wound and began to bandage it tightly (but not too tightly, she remembered: that was going to cut off blood flow, especially with this type of bandage) while glancing at Duffer. She was still very concerned about him and his idea of what happened, and it seemed like that was going to last.
She wrapped the wound and fastened the bandage, coming back to the group with a somewhat-worried expression. "So your Digivice led you over here, then?" She took her own out and glanced at it―and sure enough, there was on its interface 2 dots which were pulsing on the screen. "Hmm..."
"For what it's worth, I'm sorry I can't show you my partner right now. I'll absolutely get his behavior under control in time to be able to show you guys him sometime..." |

Kapurimon thought his phone was a digivice. This got a smirk out of him as he explained "Not every handheld device is a digivice." <Not every handheld device a digivice is.>. With the help of the translator, Kapurimon expressed his eagerness to brawl just before Duffer picker him up. Duffer spoke into the phone, and though the translation wasn't perfect, it was easy enough to use simple logic to deduce what had been said. "It's nice to meet you, Duffer. And Kapurimon." the phone translated <It is nice to you meet, Duffer. Kapurimon.>
Rai returned the bow and listened to Duffer's concern about... things being werewolf rulers? That can't be right... it took him a moment to logic out what was probably meant before he cast a glance back at Eika. He didn't think it worked that way... he HOPED it didn't.
Eika came back over with her hand securely wrapped in clean bandages, before asking her question. He turned to look at her, "Yes, that's right. I was actually just walking down the street when my digivice went off with the digi-radar thing," He admitted. "Curiosity really drove me from there. Followed the signal right your door. Easy way for a tamer to find other tamers, I guess." he said rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. "Oh, that's fine! My partner is sleeping in my backpack at the moment, so he's not exactly on display right now either." he offered.

"Radar?" He asked, taking the phone and holding it by his mouth to translate. <Explains the red dots on landmines...>
Kapurimon frowned, climbing onto his partner's shoulder, giving him the appearance of having two heads. <Wake it up. Every Digimon I meat sleep and eat more than tamer.>
Duffer frowned at his partner, looking back at Rai. <Maybe you tell me to make these things respect instead of bully and try to eat things.>
<Respect gets respect, companion.> His partner offered as a rebuttal. <If you think of me as head more than u I worth as lovers.> The translator was beginning to fumble when it came to longer statements like that.
<Then you would respect that I know Superman. Cannot get food allday. Cannot leap over school because you fight. Cannot destroy laws for fights.>
As the two began bickering more and more the translator kept fumbling and mistranslating until it got to the point that every other statement became unusually sensual and private... not that the two knew that, being that neither of them spoke Japanese.

"It's a little weird being left out on matters that are as important as... showing others your... weird, decapitated head...?" She shrugged. "I still don't understand how Mamoru's able to nod like he is... he's got even less of a body than Kapurimon does...""If I should be honest, actually, I'm a little worried Mamoru isn't going to clean up his act in time for me to be able to show him to other people when the time comes that that might be necessary. He seems overly concerned about me―he bit me by accident when I was trying to get Duffer's Digivice back to him after it fell in front of Mamoru, who of course tried to eat it―and seems maybe even a little paranoid to boot..."Eika glanced over to Duffer and Kapurimon. "Those two seem to have a good relationship, even if it does seem like Kapurimon says things Duffer doesn't particularly like―I think he's trying to insult him or something...? But Duffer doesn't seem to take it that badly, and... uh..."Eika paused when she realized what the translator was garbling their messages as. "...uhhh, i-is that thing translating right? I don't think―" She paused, noting the private―even vulgar―conversation going on through the translator. "Y-you said that thing doesn't have 100% accuracy, r-right?" she asked, glancing back to Rai with a bit of an (EXTREMELY) concerned look. "A-ahaha, r-right?" |

"Mine is more of a Cycloptic lilac jellyfish." he said unzipping his backpack to let Eika peek at the napping Kuramon. Eika expressed her concerns about her partner's personality flaws. "I guess you could take him to a therapist...?" he offered, knowing full well that a therapist would likely freak out. Rai started hearing strange things coming from the translator app as he boggled at his phone, his cheeks having turned pink. "Um... Not 100% no... but usually that's due to sentence structure being different between the two languages... It can't handle statements that are too long, and they seem to be talking very fast..." Rai paused. "Maybe my app is just tripping?" he suggested. "Definitions could be getting garbled... Like 'friend' getting mixed up in translation and turning into 'Lover'..." he glanced at Eika looking disturbed, uncomfortable and embarrassed. He faced Eika, still looking at Duffer and Kapurimon sideways "We could stop them and I could play it back... see their reactions?"

Eventually, they two stopped. As they gazed at the other two giving them odd looks they offered them the translator. <Sorry, did not mean to pig.> Duffer said, not realizing the major faux pax the two'd committed.
Kapurimon rolled his eyes, "I still wanna fight something... then maybe I can get big enough for you to take me seriously."
"That day will never come." He reassured, getting worried by their stares. "...Do you think we did something wrong?"
"Obviously you did it if it did happen..." Kapurimon leaned over to the phone. <Something wrong with two u? Go silent. Stupid tamer did it.>
"I'm not stupid..." He said, smacking the back of Kapurimon, only to get a rebuttal of a bitten finger.

Well, her options were to either say what they were being translated as, making her feel filthy (or filthier than she already felt just by listening to what the translator had to say), or she could leave them answerless and save them both the embarrassment.She let an awkward silence hang before she pursed her lips in an equally-strange smile. "...n-nothiiiiing..." She paused. <Uh... what but not...?> No, that didn't make a lot of sense, did it?She paused again and went over to the translator to try to take it. If successful, she would tell the translator, "Uh―nothing's wrong!" <Nothing wrong!> the translator droned (thank goodness it made sense out of her words, she didn't think that English was that straightforward). Then, she would try to offer it back. |

Rai forced a chuckle and faced the window, his poker face needing time to recover. He thew an 'OK' sign over he shoulder to mimic Eika's message. Just act like there's nothing wrong...  He had just zipped up his backpack and put it back on as Kuramon woke up. "Hello!" he chimed in a cutesy voice from inside the backpack saying hello had to have been one of Kuramon's favorite things to do. "I smell digimon! DIGIMON!" he began trying to get out. "Play, play play!" he squeaked as he frantically tried to find his way out of the backpack. "I don't think that's a good idea Y2K." having noted how violent the other digimon was. "Digivolve!" Kuramon exclaimed. "Digi-what?" Rai questioned cluelessly, right before his digivice gave the alert "-DIGIVOLUTION-"
"Kuramon Digivolve to!" "Wait, whats happening?! Why is my backpack glowing? What's 'digivolve'?" Rai stammered in a mild panic.
"TSUMEMON!" 'Y2K' declared with exuberance. Rai noted his backpack had gotten heavier as he took it off and opened it up to see what the heck was going on in there. "Hello!" uttered his partner as soon as he saw his tamer's face. Y2K had gotten bigger, and was now navy blue, his little ear nubs having turned into these wavy antenna and five little legs---fingers?--- that made him look like some sort of a cycloptic blue hand. But his eye was the same-- exactly the same.
"Kuramon?" Rai asked flabbergasted "Tsumemon now!" Y2K exclaimed as he -leaped- out of the backpack and onto Rai's head. "So you... digivolved?" he asked, noting how Tsumemon had now evolved extra digits...

"They grow up so fast, don't they?" Duffer quipped, Kapurimon leaping from his shoulder and over to Tsumemon. "He's digivolved, congrats. That means he's bigger, stronger, hungrier, and all around more likely to cause trouble..." He mumbled, remembering trying to hide Kapurimon for the first time. That was a living Hell that only got worse with time. "I met this kid with a fully grown Digimon... sorta. They'll get big enough to pass off as kids or adults... maybe we should work on figuring out how to hide them then than hiding them now..." He explained into the device slower, hoping not to confuse his companions again before passing the translator to Eika.
"Haha! I KNEW you had a digimon!" The shiny fox head laughed, jumping onto Tsumemon. "I'm king of the mountain!" He taunted, sticking his tongue out at the tamers.

bit by bit i'll take back my hue i'll take back my hue "Tsumemon, huh?" she noted as she took the translator. "Mamoru said that Digimon Digivolve into bigger and stronger forms. He said that Rookies are the "leave-the-nest" stage, so to speak." <Protect told Digimon evolve into bigger and stronger. Child are to leave nest so to say,> the translator droned.
She paused, then looked Tsunemon and Kapurimon over. Tsunemon currently seemed to have the house record in body parts at the moment in spite of its lack of mouth, even though Kapurimon seemed to trounce the new In-Training in terms of energy. She wondered what both of them would look like when they grew up. She was a bit concerned, either way.
"Say, you mentioned there were other people with Digimon? Others who have Digimon are more advanced than our Digimon?" she asked Duffer into the translator. "Go on a little bit about how that turned out, if you wouldn't mind." With that, she offered him back the translator. |

Rai looked annoyed with two digimon on his head, one of which had no business being there... "You two are heavy..." he complained, though he listened to Eika's explanation. Tsumemon looked up at Kapurimon and wiggled his antenna saying "Hello! Lets play!" before wrapping his antenna around Kapurimon's horns and attempting to throw him down.
---(If successful): Y2K bounds off after Kapurimon, intent on a play fight. (If unsuccessful): Y2K falls off Rai's head, taking Kapurimon with him.---
"Hey!" Rai called. "Be careful!" though Tsumemon would continue heedless of his Tamer's complaint.
He would have been interested to hear more about the 'adult digimon' if he so wasn't focused on the little ones.
Tsumemon was taking it in the direction of the closed bedroom door.

Kapurimon, despite looking heavy from his helmet, was quite light and went down quickly. Growling, the little digimon jumped at Y2K, not wanting to damage the building they were in with any of his attacks. Tapurimon followed, not knowing this was where Koromon lay in wait.
<I'm sure they be fine...> He reassured. <When I was a child, I would and tussle with neighbor kids all time... it is natural. Anyway, as say, grow bigger. met guy, had mon walked upright, looked like person but wolf too. If lucky, ours will be same, yes?> He asked, smiling at this concept. <Frankly, feel like father. Feel good. Like pet but can talk. What you think?> He offered them the translator again.
