Fighting game character.
Shi is more in line with typical puppet fighters as a fighting game character, right next to him at all sides are Yuudai and Yasuo performing disjointed moves letting Shi easily fight at long ranges. Using his digivice mid fight during special moves Shi digivolves the twins into stronger forms for certain special moves and Ultimate attacks. Hitting Yuudai and Yasuo only stops their move, doesn't deal damage, only hitting Shi deals any real damage. Shi has a decent combo game, most moves canceling into one another with setups being easy thanks to the disjointed hitboxes Yuudai and Yasuo give.
Normal moves
A: Shi throws out a quick forward punch leaning into it slightly giving it more range, repeatable but high scaling when used in a combo.
Forward A: Shi steps forward with a double fisted overhead bash, lots of start up and end lag but it hits overhead and leads into a decent combo.
Crouch A: Crouching low Shi jets his leg out kicking the enemy in the shins very quickly, can be repeated twice in the same combo with little endlag.
Air A: Shi kicks outward dealing a low amount of damage with small endlag as well.
B: Shi throws his hand forward commanding Yuudai to dash slightly forward and slice at the enemy with his claws, good range and decent poking tool.
Forward B: Yuudai claws forward a bit before jumping up with a uppercut, good anti-air and lets Shi jump up to hit confirm.
Crouch B: Yuudai gets low, sweeping the ground with his tail, long range and good tool for neutral.
Air B: Yuudai brings his claws upward before slamming them downwards knocking the enemy to the ground, bounces them off the ground once per Combo right back up to Shi for another hit.
C: Yasuo charges forward with his shoulder, elbowing right into the enemy and knocking them backwards, has a bit of endlag but knocks the opponent away if hits, knocks them back less if they block.
Forward C: Yasuo Fires a small fireball towards the opponent, low endlag and little to no combo potential, it is fast though and has a decent amount of range.
Crouch C: Yasuo digs his claws into the ground before ripping them out tossing a few rocks ahead of Shi, good blockstring ender and knocks the opponent a fair distance back if blocked. On hit causes enough stun to get in for a combo.
Air C: Yasuo spins around slapping the opponent with his tail twice, both hit overhead and can cancel the first hit into any other of Shi's moves that hasn't been used yet.
D: Unique ability, Depending on the last twin to attack a different effect actives, Yuudai causes a damage increase for a short while, Yasuo Causes a shield that blocks projectiles to form. Can cancel any move into this.
Forward D: If Yuudai was the last to attack he charges forward clawing as he advances, Yasuo Fires two fireballs, one forward and one upward.
Crouch D: If Yuudai was the last to attack he jumps up and slams the ground creating a shockwave that hits low. Yasuo heals Shi for a small amount of HP.
Air D: If Yuudai was the last to attack Shi throws him like a ball towards the enemy. If Yasuo was Shi performs a invincible backdash away from the enemy.
Forward Throw: Shi Grabs the opponent and holds them as Yuudai charges into them kicking them away.
Back Throw: Shi spins the opponent around making them face the other way as Yasuo fires three fireballs into them knocking them away.
Air Throw: Shi kicks them downward and all three fall right on top of them.
Special moves.
Quartercircle backward A.B,C: Shi throws a random object at the enemy, this can range from small paperweights, pens. His notebook and even something a tiny digimon. Different buttons change the angle he throws.
Quartercircle forward B: Shi digivolves Yuudai to Greymon and he performs a riot charge forward, invincible to small projectiles but has a lot of endlag.
Quartercircle Forward C: Shi digivolves Yasuo to GeoGreymon who fires three fireballs into the air that fall down on the opponent, even if hit the fireballs will still fall.
Down Down A: Can only be done against a grounded opponent, Shi delivers a quick kick to their side that knocks them backwards.
Full circle B: Yuudai evolves into MetalGreymon and grabs the opponent, jumping high up before slamming them down.
Full circle C (Air only): Yasuo evolves into Risegreymon and stays in the air for a bit before firing three gun shots at the enemy, Shi and Yuudai can move while he's doing this and combo right after the hits.
Super attacks.
Halfcircle backwards-forward B: Shi evolves Yuudai into WarGreymon who quickly delivers a flurry of blows to the opponent knocking them into the ground afterwards.
Halfcircle Backwards-Forward C: Shi evolves Yasuo into ShineGreymon who fires a white hot laser from his chest right at the enemy.
Instant Kill.
Down Down Down D: Yuudai and Yasuo dash forward for a cross attack, if landed the opponent will be stunned and Shi Biomerges with both of them straight into VictoryGreymon and ShineGreymon Burst mode performing their strongest sword swings obliterating the opponent with one decisive move. Can only be done if opponent has 25% life left and it's a match winning round.
Shi Quotes.
Match start 1: "I don't want to but, alright I'll fight.
Match start 2: "My name's Shi, sorry but I plan on winning."
Against a tamer: "Another human? Guess I should hold back."
Mirror match: "Wait you're.... What's going on?"
Winning a round: "Alright Yuudai and Yasuo, lets keep it up."
Losing a round: "That wasn't suppose to happen."
Winning a match 1: "Though I don't like to, I do know how to fight."
Winning a match 2: "Sorry.... I don't lose."
Winning a match against a tamer: "Seems our bond was stronger."
Winning a mirror match: "The real Shi came out on top."
Instant kill quote: "Might've been a bit overkill you two."
Idle animation.
While standing Shi is fully upright with one hand in his jacket pocket and the other lazily at his side, if sitting still for long enough he'll quickly adjust his hat with his free hand. Yuudai and Yasuo stand beside him, if sitting still long enough Yasuo will look around before focusing back on the match and Yuudai will rub his stomach hungrily.
Taunt: Shi pulls his hat off his head and twirls it with one finger with a smirk, Yasuo pulls his eyelid down and sticks his tongue while Yuudai yawns bored.
