The strangest thing about being hit with the block of ice was how clearly Omen remembered that sequence of events leading up to it. And how her fire seemed to just...fall flat under the effects of the lair. Strange, very strange...
Much of it was a blur right now, but the voice of Kuro in her head did seem to indicate that she was at the very least safe. And that Makoto had been near. They could probably help her find a way out of this...
Getting up was difficult. Omen lacked any arms or anything to help, so she had to use her tail. "I-I...S-s-surrender..." ...She didn't mean to but she sounded like she was about to cry. So, she had gotten up with her head down and went over to Yuko and Makoto.
So, what would happen next?

And with that the intruder had been captured. Gravhelsten nodded towards the disguised Makoto as they gave a compelling speech and managed to get Omen to surrender. When she moved over to Yuko, he had some advice, however. "WinterWitchmon taught us the proper way to capture children. Make sure to put your filthy human forearm over their upper body and press it against your torso. Children don't have the upper body strength to push away from you, and if you lift them up they don't have the leverage to kick you away, either."
"Hey, what's this about!?" One of the Icemon complained, still stuck into the icy ground. But with a little help from his buddy he managed to get free. Probably because if combat would have continued, he or his comrade would have had to spend his action to free himself. "That was our capture damn it!"
"Shut up and get back to your post!" Gravhelsten barked, pointing back outside. The two other Icemon groaned and turned back around.
"F-fine! Sheesh... he gets promoted and gets a big head all of a sudden... what a jerk..." And Kraszansky and Stancsky the Icemons headed back off to guard the entrance from intruders. Admittedly they hadn't done a great job so far. But for what it was worth, despite a few clearly inconvenient hangups, the group had successfully infiltrated the keep! Now it was just a matter of completing the mission!
And once Omen was good and captured by their new allies, Gravhelsten led everyone sans Lagi back towards the elevator. "Okay. Let's continue. The dungeons are one floor lower than entrance today, so it's a short ride this time." And they proceeded downward, until they lowered themselves to a hallway with four doors. Two on the right side of the hall, labeled in Digicode as the "Powder Rooms" with a picture of a SnowAgumon wearing a tie and a SnowAgumon wearing a dress placed on them.
"These are our toilets," Gravhelsten explained as they were passing through. "WinterWitchmon requests that all minions use this one right here, however," He pointed towards the door with the image of the SnowAgumon with the tie. Then he pointed towards the left side of the hall where a single large door labeled "Warm Room - Icemon enter at your own risk!!!"
"And this room is off-limits. WinterWitchmon has hired a bunch of Meramon for some reason, and they reside here in the lower floors," He looked off to the side with a bitter expression. "They're bullies. Even though they're not allowed to the higher floors they always waltz around here like they own the place, and WinterWitchmon just lets them..." He shook his head and focused at the task on hand. "But the last place is at the end of the hall. Let's go."
And he led them to the last room at the end of the hall, labeled "Dungeon - Leave this door locked at all times!"
"The prisoners you'll be executing... well... I suppose you'll be executing this one, too..." He pointed towards Omen as well. "They're inside here..." He lifted his hand up, and strange runes appeared and glowed around his entire body. His icy finger turned into the shape of a key as he inserted it into the door. But before her turned it, he turned back to the group one last time. "Are you all ready?" And while Makoto, Joker and Co., and Omen were with the Icemon and traveling downwards, Lagi's little ghosting adventure took her to another place entirely. A small room with a foul odor. As well as the smell of smoke. Sitting within that room upon on porcelain throne, was a single Meramon whose red and orange flames flickered about and reflected a surge of radiance upon the icy walls. To the side, there was a single roll of white paper with a sign written above in Digicode
Do not use more than four sheets, unless you are providing your own roll. This is your final warning! Anyone caught violating this policy will be put to death in a manner chosen by the Crystal Tyrant himself! Surely you don't want to become the next Stepherson, right?
- WinterWitchmon
"Oh... White Wolf was seen out in public with that AEGIS guy again... Ugh... It feels like every idol has a boyfriend nowadays! It's a total turnoff..." Misogynistic and toxic opinions aside, the Meramon reached out and grabbed six sheets, completely unaware of the Ghostmon's presence. This was clearly a crappy situation.

With both Makoto's and Yuko's words, it seemed that Omen would surrender - though the tone that the poor child spoke in would nearly break Makoto's heart. Oh, poor darling... They'd have to make sure she stays safe; one way or another... As Yuko took the role as Omen's handler though, Makoto would escort the both of them to the elevator; Kuro once again brushing against Omen's mind wordlessly - but with hues of sympathy and comfort nonetheless. "Do keep a close eye on that one, Yuko darling." Makoto would instruct the human, gesturing to Omen. "Fox digimon are quite the tricky sort; and I'm sure this little one is no different."
As they returned to the elevator proper though, two of the Icemon would exclaim protests - something that Gravhelsten would be quick to scold them for. Makoto, keen on maintaining their facade, would smile wryly to the Icemon - musing "Perhaps if WinterWitchmon allows us, once this alliance is made official, we could see about me showing them how to properly behave around their superiors?" in a hypothetical fashion. "It sounds as though they do not understand their proper place,"
As the tour continued though, they would pass through a number of floors - one of whom would be a room of Meramons. "I presume they're in a separate room, to avoid accidentally harming you or another one of your kind with their fire?" Makoto questioned curiously, wondering if they couldn't put this knowledge to use somehow...
... But before too much longer, they would be led to a dungeon - a dungeon that Icemon seemed to be able to produce a key for, from one of his fingers. This is something that Makoto would eye intently; wondering if they wouldn't be able to mimic this ability by mimicing Gravhelsten's form... "... I am ready as I'll ever be, darling." They'd respond to the Icemon's question with a warm smile, however; stating "Let's see what sort of performance our dear king will be able to conduct today~"

Was it right to just leave Omen out to be captured by someone who might not even actually be Makoto? As she made her way inside, she could hear another pair of voices, this time coming from two unfamiliar people; a 'Fallen Angel Digimon', and 'Yuko', as the former coined themselves. She could feel a shred of hope come back to her as she went on her way, as 'Yuko' promised to help Omen any way she could.
But would it be right to leave Omen's life in the hands of a self-proclaimed 'Fallen Angel'? Again, the urge to just come in and teleport Omen away reared it's ugly head once more, but once again, she had to resist. She already got Omen in trouble once, and she would find a way to free her, damnit!
Eventually, Lagi would find herself feeling a little warmer than she expected as she made her way through and the grumbling of another Digimon inside. Taking a good minute to peer with one tiny beady eye poking out, she'd find a Meramon doing... well...
Thank goodness I don't have a nose. Lagi could breathe easy on that end. Literally.
But her quick act of spying upon the Meramon would be greeted by a pretty particular sign; take more than 4 sheets and the Crystal Tyrant would put you to death himself. Possibly by his own hands. Wait a minute... did that mean that Meramon could inadvertently lead her to the Crystal Tyrant himself?
Yes, yes, that could be good. Once she tricked the Meramon, she could follow him to the Crystal Tyrant, trace down the path by his Digital Signal, and lead the rest of the group there to deal with him. It was 3 against one. No way they'd possibly lose! And heck, if 'Yuko' was on their side, that'd make it a 4 against one!
But how was she going to do it...
Making her way onto the other side of the lavatory door, plus another peek with her beady eye to ensure the coast was clear, and nobody was coming or going to the bathroom, Lagi would emerge from the floor - but not as her natural Ghostmon form, as you would expect.
No. Rather, she'd assume the form of an Icemon, the same group of Rookie/Champion level mooks akin to the ones at the castle gates. She'd blend in easily compared to the rest of them, her cloak covered by her own transformation ensuring she'd resemble the rest of the Icemon nearby. With a sly chuckle to herself, she'd give a good, hard knock on the door.
"Oi, hurry up in there!" Lagi cried out, "Some of us need to use the bathroom too, y'know?" Her gruff tone was not too dissimilar to the Icemon on the outside. "Besides, if you use more than four sheets and they don't belong to you, you're dead! WinterWitchmon said so!"
Her voice was loud enough for some close by to hear, and defiantly enough for the Meramon to hear. Hopefully, if this gambit worked, the Meramon would run the risk of being caught breaking the rules, and she'd have a quick path over to the Crystal Tyrant, no problem! Then she could go in, free Omen and the others, and help save the day before the day was out.
Would it be that easy, though?

Omen had finally ‘surrendered’ to the group, helping them maintain their facade. Yuko smiled widely and picked the young Wispmon up in her arms. “Good girl. Come over here.” The teenage Tamer heeded Makoto’s warning and followed Gravhelsten’s child-grabbing lessons to a T, carefully carrying the little vixen around. She couldn’t help but notice how warm the Wispmon’s lamp-like stomach felt. It was like carrying a small radiator around!
After lending a prying ear to the Icemon’s brief dispute over leadership, Jokermon leaned next to Gravhelsten’s big head, whispering to them in confidence. “I sense some envy among your ranks, Grav-chan~ If you’re not careful, those inferior Icemon might try to claim your position for themselves. As a Demon King, I’ve seen it happen many times with my own troops…” He warned the icy golem, smiling mischievously.
The tour of the Crystal Tyrant’s castle continued, with Gravhelsten showing them the special room where all the Meramon that had been hired by WinterWitchmon stayed, as well as what looked distinctly like Digimon restrooms. Yuko blinked twice. “Wait wait wait… Digimon can poop?!” She turned towards her partner with a rather miffed look. “I thought you said that Sukamon were just made of sticky, yellow goo!” “I may have told a little white lie!” The demonic jester smugly raised his hands. “Besides, you humans do all kinds of gross things with your bodies, and you don’t hear us complaining!” He pointed out, causing the girl to blush faintly.
Finally, they had reached the door leading to the dungeon, where the prisoners that were pending for execution were being held. Right before opening the door, Gravhelsten asked the group if they were ready. “Sure… Let’s brutally kill some people.” Yuko nervously nodded. Makoto still acted out their ‘role’, eagerly awaiting their king’s performance. “Ohohoho, it shall be an unforgettable show alright!” Jokah laughed haughtily. “Go on, Grav-chan. Open up the door, chop-chop!” He added, stretching his lanky arms and cracking his fingers in preparation.

For however masterfully acted Yuko, Jokah, and Makoto's facades were, Omen was...not acting at all, honestly. She wanted to not be here. She wanted to lash out even if that'd just make everything worse for her and the team but...She couldn't.
So, she'd allow herself to be carried by Yuko. Indeed, she was warm to the touch for the teenager, but given her lack of arms, Yuko'd likely need to be careful that the Wispmon didn't slip from her grasp. This was a dangerous rat, after all.
"I mean, I guess I'm ready to die..." Spoken like a real Ophanim's daughter, Omen. She was ready for whatever happened next, but she knew somewhere in her frame that this would not be how the Icemon were expecting. Would it?
...
We'll find out.

"I'm not concerned in the least," Gravhelsten stated in response to Jokermon's warning. Why would he worry about those idiots? And he simply shrugged when the second IceDevimon commented on disciplining them. "Perhaps we will when we gain some more trusted allies. Which is why we're performing this test in the first place. Come."
And after making it to the lower floors, Gravhelsten shrugged at Makoto's inquiry. "WinterWitchmon is fairly secretive about why they're here. But they might be here to make sure us icy Digimon are kept in line. And they probably come in handy when dealing with the locals, too." But the Icemon could only conjecture at that point. WinterWitchmon was perhaps a little too secretive for his liking, but she trusted him with tasks that she trusted no one else with. In fact he was the only Icemon to find out the secret of the Crystal Tyrant, that it was actually-
But Gravhelsten decided not to dwell on secrets. And while he looked visibly confused at the Wispmon's bizarre acceptance of her fate, he wondered what exactly what she meant. Was she... not worried because she knew that she would be fine somehow? Did this mean that their new potential allies couldn't be trusted, then? Or was there someone else that no one else had found yet still out there to rescue her? Well... Gravhelsten was going to find out soon. As now was the time for openness and honesty, and for these new comrades to either show their true colors or to become trusted new minions for WinterWitchmon. He unlocked the door, and the dungeons began to faintly glow.
"We captured two prisoners, one a filthy human child, another Digimon, presumably the human's partner. They... stopped to ask me for directions, so I captured them. After throwing them in their cell, the stupid human attempted to lick the cell bars and melt them like a popsicle, but her tongue got stuck to it immediately," He led them through a series of empty cells, until he stopped at one where sure enough, there was a human girl, probably no older than eleven or twelve-years-old with light pink hair and amber eyes. And her tongue was most certainly stuck to one of the bars of her cell. Behind her sat a Terriermon whose hands and ears were bound together in Crystal, yet she seemed to be asleep anyways despite their turmoil.
Both of them looked a little rough for wear, with scratches and bruises all over their bodies. But the girl's eyes lit up when she looked at the other human girl. Or rather, the Digimon in the human girl's arms. "Ah! O-en! Wha- ah- you- ooi- hea?"
When Lagi made her little gambit, shouting on the other side of the door and warning the Meramon of his crimes against the Tyrant, there was a brief silence, followed by a familiar flushing sound. Naturally, there wasn't the sound of running water afterwards. Clearly this Meraman didn't believe in washing his hands. But nevertheless he opened up the bathroom door and smiled at the faux-Icemon.
"Oh, come now... don't be like that..." He said in a playful tone, as if he wasn't concerned with any form of punishment at all. "Oh... I don't recognize you..." He took a good look at the disguised Lagi before shaking his head. "Well, I heard something about new recruits earlier. But I think that they might have missed a couple things at your orientation..." And in a flash he swung his fist down at the false Icemon's face, his fiery fist stopping less than an inch of Lagi's face. Any normal Icemon would flinch from his fiery form, after all.
"That hag and her annoying little brat may run things up there, but down here at this level, we Meramon make the rules..." He knelt down and roughly patted the being on the shoulder. "So if you don't want to get into a little accident while down here involving your icy face and a fiery foot, then you might want to watch what you say to us Meramon, got it?" He started laughing as he stood back up and headed off to room marked "Warm Room". "Oh yeah, and if you really care about the toilet paper running out, maybe you should just use a few less sheets. Otherwise you might get blamed and end up just like your replacement!" And with another booming laugh he closed the door to the warm room.

It seemed as though WinterWitchmon was quite tightlipped about certain things to her underlings. Makoto, frankly, would think that it's wiser to be at least a little bit more upfront about some of these details - but they would nonetheless quietly nod to Gravhelstein, figuring that it was best to not question it too hard. They were sure that they'd figure it out with time, after all.
And for that matter, Omen's morose acceptance was rather heartbreaking - though all they could do was to have Kuro offer a soft murmur of <It'll be okay,> to the Wispmon in reassurance.
With that though, once they ended up in the dungeon proper, Makoto would observe the clear lack of prisoners - save for a human and digimon duo - that were here. "I'm surprised there's only two prisoners here," They would muse out loud to Gravhelstein. "I had heard rumors that there was some opposition from the nearby village - and I imagine that those rumors are true, from what you mentioned before when we were talking about those Meramon. But these two are not only the only ones here, but likely unrelated to the village altogether."
Humming briefly in an 'oh well' fashion, they'd glance to the human and digimon both, before chuckling. "I wonder; for you two to get caught so easily as it sounded, is your partner even able to digivolve past Rookie?" Though the question was a bit mocking in tone, it was nonetheless genuine; whether or not the human girl would be able to confirm this would decide what the next plan was - be it that the two would be set loose to fight alongside them, or whether the two would be sent back to the village with the surely by-then-charged Digiport.
Once they were able to get a response as to whether or not the Terriermon was able to respond them, Makoto would let out a gentle sigh, before glancing over to Gravhelstein. "Do you mind getting them out of there for us, and line them up all nicely, darling? And, well... I suppose unsticking the girl from the bars, too, by extension?" They'd request with a warm smile in the Icemon's direction. "It'd be a bit difficult to execute these two proper, with the bars in the way, as I'm sure you can imagine."
Much like with Omen though, Kuro was there to try and reach out to the girl's mind - and the Terriermon's as well, a brief mental nudge attempting to get the digimon to stir. <Play along,> it would whisper to them both, as timidly and softly as usual. <We're here to help.>

The only thing Lagi's transformation ability allowed her to change was her physical form. The rest she had to learn by experience alone. And in this case, she opted to try and copy the bravado shown by the Icemon guards back at the front entrance in a bid to blend in and not stick out like a sore thumb to arouse suspicion, and grab the Meramon's attention in the process.
Big mistake.
While initially still keeping that same air of bravado up, no sooner did she find herself staring up at the Meramon's ugly grinning mug did it all seem to evaporate in an instant. And not helping her case was that he was practically shrugging off those same 'warnings' from earlier like if it was a mere suggestion.
Without so much as a warning, she'd find herself covering her head and closing her eyes in a fit of panic, just as the Meramon faked out his swing, only bringing herself back up when she felt the Meramon's falsely reassuring pat. And she couldn't really say or do anything. After all, Lagi was a mere Rookie-level staring up at the face of a Champion. That incident with the MetalGreymon in the Dark Area was a fluke. And no way was she going to repeat that.
Thus, she could only watch as the Meramon made his way towards the 'Warm Room' without much of a care in the world. For a moment there, she just stood, dumbfounded. Her two 'plans' thus far had fell flat on their face. Did they simply sound too good to be true? Her first plan got Omen captured, and her second only left her with nothing but egg on her face-
Well, not exactly.
Once she came to, she thought about the words the Meramon told her. From the look of things, the Meramon on this level did indeed rule the roost. And what was that about her 'replacement', exactly? She eyed the warm room for a good moment. That could wait. The Meramon would suspect something very easily if the 'Icemon' he confronted earlier didn't spontaneously melt upon even setting foot into the door. Rather, she'd make her way up into the higher levels, potentially to blend in with the rest of the Icemon.
The warm room could wait.

“Damn it… why did she have to be this cute?” Yuko innerly thought, as the urge to pet the scared Omen became ever harder to resist. There was something about tiny, helpless Digimon that always brought out Yuko’s softer, more maternal side, and it annoyed her to no end. She wasn’t supposed to be soft, she was supposed to be tough and badass!
Regardless, Gravhelsten the Icemon opened the door to the dungeon, guiding the group through a series of seemingly empty cells, before finally finding the one where a young Tamer and her Digimon were being held. The girl in question seemed to have gotten her tongue stuck to the cell bars that were made of ice, which according to Makoto would make the task of executing her rather tricky.
“I’ll have to agree with my subordinate.” Jokermon nodded, before pointing at the bound Terriermon. “While you’re at it, release her partner too.” “But, Jokah-sama. What if they escape?” The real IceDevimon pointed out. The self-proclaimed Demon King waved his hand dismissively. “Don’t be silly, my cowbell-obsessed friend! A tiny little Terriermon would pose no threat to four Champions! Besides, where’s the fun in killing off prey that can’t fight back~?” He said with an ominous chuckle.
Materializing his ruby-colored scythe out of thin air, the demonic jester casually teleported to the inside of the cell, and held the razor-sharp blade inches away from the little girl’s neck. “It’s just as I feared… I can’t take her head from such a weird angle! You’ll have to get her unstuck immediately!” He haughtily demanded. “Unstick girl, or no choppy chop!” One of the Vilemon insisted, crossing their arms and squinting their eyes at Gravhelsten. “Well, we DO have a living lava lamp!” Yuko chimed in. Holding Omen by the scruff of her neck like a kitten, she pressed her warm, glowing belly against the icy cell bar, hoping that the heat would be able to melt it off enough for the human girl’s tongue to be freed.

Omen was just about prepared to turn her brain off for a bit, proverbially, just to get through this, but opening the prison door revealed something that made that impossible. Why was...Why was Nanami here? Where were Mocha and Mu-kun? The Wispmon blinked a few times.
"Nanami...?" She was quiet, but the confusion was still able to be very much heard within her true voice. Omen looked up at Joker and Yuko. "...P-P-Please don't..." Don't kill them. P l s. Well, she didn't THINK they would, right? They were on the same mission, right? They were likely putting an act up or something, given what Kuro had been telling her...Plus, Uncle Jokah wouldn't do that to a human, right? Right? Not with Yuko right there, right?
While she was being held against the cell bar, Omen's head tilted down to stare at Nanami and the sleeping Cream. "...I-I got caught. I think I'm dying soon. I-I really do-...don't know. I won't let any harm come to you, though. I s-swear..."
As neutral as she attempted to sound, she was still not having a really great day. And seeing someone she trusted hold a scythe's blade inches away from someone she considered her best friend (poor judgement, truth be told)'s neck was absolutely not helping with that.

As Makoto began to taunt and question the pink-haired girl, whose name Omen said was Nanami, she gave them a blank stare and nodded. "Uh-huh! Ah - eel straah!"1 She said with a hint of pride in her voice. And about the time Kuro began to speak to her, she began to giggle. "Hehehe... ah - ahks - ah - heh - eeh - ah - hingly!"2 And afterwards, she gave the group a very noticeable wink to clarify that she understood. "What... did you... did she just wink just now?" Gravhelsten asked, looking back at the prisoner and to his future comrades. "Ih ah!"3 Nanami answered. "No, I clearly just saw you wink right now!" "Ih wash 'us a wich!"4 She insisted, rather stubbornly. Soon after, Joker teleported inside her cell, putting his scythe up to her neck. Her eyes moved over to that direction, though she couldn't turn her head to face her would-be executioner. She took a step backwards to stretch her body out a little more. "'an you eh' a e'er a'guh ike is?"5Well, it seemed like she was trying to play along and be helpful, at least! And when Yuko put her buddy up to help warm up the cell bar, she looked over to the trembling Wispmon. She reached her hand out and pet the panicked Omen over the head. "'ish okay! I gah' cah' ooh! 'Ut ih, ur o'ecing ee, eh ah o'ec you! 'o o' ee' sha' okay?"6"Hey! Don't just teleport in there with out my permission!" The Icemon bellowed in anger, opening up the cell door and storming inside. "And if you do it here, her head's gonna be stuck to the bars, and it'll make a whole mess! Help me get this prisoner loose, first!" He reached over and wrapped his arms around the girls hips as he began to tuck her back. Thanks to Yuko's plans of using their "prisoner" to their advantage, she came free pretty easily. And it was then that the sleeping Terriermon began to suddenly spin around at high speeds and rocketed towards the Icemon. "Oh, shi-" She struck the back of his leg, knocking the higher-level Digimon over as she and Nanami made a mad dash out of the cell, slamming it shut. Well. Unless someone wanted to stop them. A puny little girl and a single rookie? Real easy thing to do. 1 - "Uh-huh! I'm real strong!" 2 - "Hehehe... That makes my head feel all tingly!" 3 - "Did not!" 4 - "It was just a twitch!" 5 - "Can you get a better angle like this?" 6 - "It's okay! I got caught, too! But if you're protecting me, then I'll protect you! So don't be scared, okay?"
And as for Lagi... well, going up would require taking the elevator. And after doing so, it rose to the next level, where the entrance was. And the first thing she saw was a strange, almost humanoid Digimon wrapped in white robes. Crystal snowflake patterns adorned her outfit, as her long, white hair flew down from a similarly-colored pointed hat. Her crystal-blue eyes focused on the disguised Icemon as she narrowed her eyebrows. It seemed like she was trying to think of something. Eventually WinterWitchmon reached out on large, clawed hand and conjured forth... A clipboard. She looked over towards the clipboard, then towards Lagi. Back to the clipboard, then back to Lagi. She shook her head before finally saying, "You there, whatever your name is. Gravhelsten is busy with other matters, so you're going to help me." She stepped into the elevator, scraping the wall with a clawed finger as many runes came to life. "The Crystal Tyrant is awake now! And I'm afraid he's terribly hungry!"

Oh dear; it seemed like Nanami and Joker both were plenty sources of chaos, for different reasons. As Nanami continued to try to spead around her own tongue, Makoto - admittedly - would make a bit of a face, as they spent less focus on maintaining composure, and more focus on... Trying to figure out what, exactly, the human girl was trying to say. So she said that they were... Real strong? Well, Makoto certainly hoped so; and they certainly hoped that Nanami reacting to Kuro like that wouldn't blow their cover!
Thankfully (debatably) though, even if things did devolve into some chaos, they would - nonetheless - finish out in the group's favor. While Nanami and the Terriermon both would bolt from the cell, they would also be able to shove Gravhelstein into the cell that they had been in before - closing it behind him. Of course, the option to stop Nanami and the Terriermon would be an easy one - but Makoto found it even easier, to just laugh in a jovial fashion. "Oh dear! I know I've said that fox digimon are wily - but apparently human children and Terriermon are, too!" They'd comment wryly, continuing to chuckle with delight.
Instead of capturing thr two or helping Gravhelstein out of the cell though, Makoto would instead take on Gravhelstein's form; making them look more or less indistinguishable from the Icemon! Next, they would do the same key trick that Gravhelstein did - to lock the cell door, and ensure that the Icemon would not get out anytime soon. "Do sit tight for just a moment, Gravhelstein dear." They'd speak all the while, a sly look to their expression. "I have a deal I'd like to discuss with you about, once I'm done speaking to the others here; and I'm sure you'll wish to hear the terms of them - given that it'll ensure your safety, if you agree."
With that being said and done, and with them no longer needing to put up an act, Makoto would let out a sigh of relief - devolving and shedding the disguise temporarily, and now appearing as a Renamon-X. "Whew... A breather from maintaining Champion form is always nice..." They would sigh with a swish of their tails, casting a gentle smile to the others in the group...
... At least, until their eyes fell on Omen. Poor child, Makoto hoped that she wasn't going to come out of this traumatized - this act probably wore a lot on the poor Wispmon's psyche. Unable to hold back their maternal instincts, Makoto would step towards Yuko and Owen both. "... Come here, Omen darling." They'd speak gently, taking the Wispmon from Yuko, and bringing Omen into a warm embrace.
One arm wrapped around the Wispmon, while the opposite hand stroked the top of her head, Makoto would begin softly murmuring to Omen. "I'm so sorry that you had to be put through such a stressful situation, dear..." They would speak, gentle and reassuring, and positively motherly in nature. "You've been so good, playing along with our act - but you can relax now, dear. It's okay. You're safe with us, and Nanami here will be safe, too. Okay?"
With that being said, Makoto would take the time to dig through their bag, and pull out a few sweets - soft caramels, individually wrapped in parchment paper. "Here, darling. Nibble on some sweets, decompress a bit, and let me know if you want me to open up a Digiport to get you home, okay?" They'd offer, adding "I've got it all charged up already; you don't have to stay here, if you think things are getting too stressful for you, alright Omen dear? Noone will judge you for it." Especially given that Omen was still a child...
And speaking of children, there was the question of Nanami and her partner as well. Glancing over to the duo, Makoto would smile and nod to them - introducing themself "It's a pleasure to meet you, Nanami dear - you can call me Makoto, and the voice I'm sure you heard before would be my familiar, Kuro." As if to make its appearance known, Makoto's shadow - Kuro - would begin to briefly move and shift; looking over Joker, Yuko, and their entourage of demon digimon - then glancing towards Gravhelstein, and then Nanami and Cream. "Don't mind it, if Kuro's being a bit quiet now - it's normally quite a shy shadow."
"But onto more pressing questions..." Makoto would begin, clapping their hands together briefly as they gazed over to Nanami. "Nanami dear - I have three questions for you and your partner; and do pardon me for the rush, it's just that the longer we stay here, the more likely we are to be discovered, though... Do you happen to have your digivice on you, did either of you hear anything of interest from the guards, and finally, would either of you like me to open you a Digiport to safety?"
While Makoto spoke to Nanami and Cream though, Kuro would meanwhile part from Makoto's body - the shadow traveling across the icy surface of the ground and walls, to place itself right next to the door. There, it decided that it would keep a shadow of an ear out for any potential patrols passing by - listening intently.

Thankfully for Lagi, her journey up to the next floor, away from the Meramon's domain, would be a rather uneventful trip up the elevator. And thank goodness for that; that was just one Meramon she encountered on her ill-fated gambit. Had she foolishly opted to challenge him, who knew what hell she might have wrought upon herself? She didn't even have Omen on her side anymore.
Who knew where she was by now and where Makoto was taking her?
Even as the door opened, that haunting thought still lurked into her mind, but the imposing Digimon that greeted her would quickly push it to the back of her mind; the odd, eerie, humanoid Digimon herself, WinterWitchmon. Was that the same one that Mojyamon was telling her about earlier? Despite the chills starting to run up and down her spine, she retained a neutral face, like the good little Icemon servant she was.
For a moment there, her fears that she may had been rumbled started to arise once more, even if the WinterWitchmon wouldn't be able to spot it from Lagi's face, but with the WinterWitchmon seemingly shrugging her suspicion off, she could feel slight relief, only being able to nod in compliance and follow the mage back to the elevator. And then, she just had to say something that would give her alarm...
'The Crystal Tyrant is awake'? 'He's terribly hungry'? Was she going to actually see the massive beast up front? She had to keep her composure for now and address the witch like it was nothing, "Of course, ma'am. Remind me again, what does he like to eat, exactly?"

Thanks to Omen’s abdominal warmth and Gravhelsten’s begrudging assistance, the group managed to get the pink-haired girl unstuck from the icy bars, at which point she and her Terriermon made a run for it, closing the cell door behind them as they did. “Hey! Don’t lock me up here with him!” Jokermon protested, shaking his fist angrily. “Just teleport again!” Yuko pointed out. The jester-like Digimon blinked. “Oh… right.” He seamlessly teleported back out.
With Gravhelsten behind bars, the fake IceDevimon transformed into a fake Icemon, locking the cell door, before revealing their TRUE form as a not-oversaturated-in-the-slightest fox. “Mr. IceDevimon? Why are you dressed up like Renamon?” The real IceDevimon inquired. “Because he IS Renamon, you moron!” Jokah observed. “Now that’s a Digimon with the right skill set to serve under my Demon King army! Granted, your maternal, pampering side doesn’t exactly scream ‘evil minion’, but Yuko is a big softie too and I don’t mind.” “I’m not a softie!” The female delinquent objected, blushing ever so slightly.
After Makoto had given Omen a well-deserved, comforting hug, they tried to question the freed girl and her rabbit-eared partner, even offering to make them a Digiport to safety. “Digiport, Schmigiport!” The self-proclaimed Demon King interjected. “We infiltrated this awfully dull palace in order to stir up some chaos and find where Chief DaiPenmon is being held. Unless that girl is somehow seasoned in the martial art of dual-wielding ice cream bars, she is NOT a DaiPenmon!” He said, pointing his finger at Nanami.
