Jokermon’s mood seemed to sour a bit when Nanami mentioned that her mother was married, or at least in a relationship. “Eiichiro… I shall remember that name…” He whispered inconspicuously, no doubt cooking up some villainous scheme that involved people getting comedically crushed by pianos.
The literally constipated Meramon had left, but not before dropping a clear hint as to Chief Daipenmon’s whereabouts. Omen was visibly raring to go to that ‘Warm Room’, so much so that she was… wiggling like a cat. “God, that’s adorable!” Yuko thought inside her head.
Lagi apparently knew where the Warm Room was, and was willing to guide the ragtag group of heroes (and flamboyant villains) there. As for Makoto, they gave the group some tips on how to act when they got there. “I don’t think Jokah needs any help acting like a pompous asshole!” Yuko said half-jokingly. “Thanks, though. I’ll keep those things in mind.” She added, nodding her head gratefully.

Jokermon's comment seemed to fly over the little girl's head, but pretty much everyone that already knew her or had even a modicum of observational skills could tell that most things did. She gave the Clown Prince a confused look as the Terriermon hopped over to her shoulder and tapped her face. "We should get going, Nanami," She stated, pointing towards the group. It seemed like she wanted to say something else, but instead she settled for, "There's no way we can leave, but we're practically useless without Mocha and Mukuroyukihime. Let's just focus on supporting whoever we can without getting in the way. Nothing reckless, okay?" The little girl gave the Terriermon a frustrated, almost pouting look, but nodded. She moved over besides the newly-evolved Teumesmon with a confident smile. "Omen! Everyone! Cream and I will help out the best we can! So you don't have to worry about protecting us!" And following Makoto's instructions, Nanami followed the group with a stride that would be intimidating if it were coming from someone other than a pink-haired girl with a scrawny, prepubescent figure. "Got it! I'll walk like a bad b-word boss!" Her strut was nearly identical to the way the Meramon walked. With Lagi leading the group towards the Warm Room, the group would be able to guess why it was called such just by touching the door. The cold ice of the doorframe didn't seem to be affected in the slightest, but if the door were any hotter it could burn someone. And inside, there was a massive, dome-shaped spherical chamber, the center of which held the highest point of the ceiling, nearly 40 feet in height. Looking inside, there were several points of interest. The chamber seemed to be about Upon opening the door, the hot air was almost palpable, yet surprisingly dry. Despite being in a hot room full of ice, the ice seemed to be unaffected by the heat. On the right side of the room were five stone slabs, with what seemed to be a bed of coals kindling underneath. Of the five slabs, two were occupied by sleeping Meramon. On the left side had a large gathering of exercise equipment. Currently, two Meramon were at a weight-lifting bench, with one Meramon spotting the other. "C'mon, Dave, you've burned everything else in your life, now it's time to burn away those weaksauce biceps of yours for something better! You're gonna get that hot summer bod if it's the last thing we do!" The spotter Meramon cried out in an aggressive but supportive tone. On the far end was a stone table with a bookshelf, a magazine rack, and shelf with various foodstuffs placed onto it. There didn't seem to be anything to keep the food cold, and naturally, there weren't any devices to heat up or cook food, for obvious reason. The Meramon that had approached the group earlier sat there, shifting around in his seat looking uncomfortable. A magazine was still in his hands, but it wasn't open. But most likely, most people's attention would be focused on the very center of the chamber. Three thick pillars of ice stretched from the floor to the ceiling. There were crystal clear, each one containing a Meramon inside. Mysterious runes were etched into the ice, and whatever their function was, it seemed to be siphoning the flames from the Meramon within sending their heat upwards towards the ceiling, connected a large crystal sphere containing a strange-looking penguin covered in sweat. In its hands, were two large popsicle sticks that looked mostly melted at this point. And underneath this sphere, stood another Meramon. But unlike the other eight Meramon in this room, he stood a fair bit taller than the others, covered in blue flames. He was seated in the very center of the room, inside of a triangle of runes that connected the three ice pillars. He was staring down towards the floor, glaring down stoicly at a magazine with images that weren't appropriate for Rookie Digimon to see. "The fanservice is a little gratuitous, but it's easy to empathize with the protagonist... I wonder who she's gonna end up with... I hope it's the childhood friend..." He muttered aloud, despite no one else seeming to pay any attention to him. - Nanami and Cream can provide very little for offense. But Cream's Champion form, D'arcmon, can provide limited support for a single target. Still, as a single Twin Digimon, she can't be any stronger than an Armor Champion on her own.
-Warm Room, South Side - Entrance. Where the party's currently at.
- Warm Room, East Side - Two Meramon currently asleep.
- Warm Room, West Side - Two Meramon currently working out.
- Warm Room, North Side - One Meramon is seated, doing nothing, but is currently not alert.
- Warm Room, Center - Three Meramon inside crystal pillars. Daipenmon is trapped in a sphere near the ceiling, and underneath is BlueMeramon, currently reading some manga. He's clearly uneducated, as the protaganist never ends up with the childhood friend unless main love interest dies or something.
In total, there are Eight Meramon and One BlueMeramon, though they don't seem particularly alert. A sneak attack could be effective, but particularly dangerous if things don't go well. With such a large group, stealth could be a difficult approach unless only a select few went in. Attempting to negotiate or bluff your way might work, but doing so would completely ruin the element of surprise, and could prove disastrous if even a single mistake is made. Naturally, doing nothing is an option, but hanging around at the entrance only increases your chances of being noticed.
And of course, you could always just avoid this encounter entirely and focus your efforts elsewhere, though Chief Daipenmon needs to be rescued eventually. And of course, there could be any number of solutions that I haven't prepared for, so please do what you think is best or what would be the most engaging! Despite the circumstances, this is a serious encounter, but the most important thing is to have fun!

So this was the Warm Room, hm? It certainly was an interesting set-up; particularly the contraption in the center that appeared to be containing the Chief Daipenmon that the group had been looking for. The only question now was in actually getting Daipenmon out, but well... Makoto would have an idea, in how to at least help keep some of the heat - pun intended - off of their teammates.
Stepping back and away from the door - so as to avoid drawing the attention of the Meramon - the disguised fox glanced back towards the group. "I don't know about any of you dears - although I don't feel entirely keen on leaving, until we know for sure that the resident Daipenmon here will be okay." They'd remark, taking the time to dismiss their disguise and return to the appearance of a Fakemon. "And that's why I'd like to make the suggestion that I cause a... Distraction, amongst the Meramon. Perhaps incite a little chaos, if I can?"
<... Are you sure this is a good idea?> Kuro would murmur from the back of Makoto's mind - its uncertainty clear, knowing full well what Makoto was thinking. <The last time you became Astamon...>
<... I'll be fine, dear.> Makoto responded - albeit with the briefest of hesitance - conveying a gentle and reassuring vibe to their shadow. <I know what I'm doing, this time. I know what to expect.>
Though they didn't necessarily like the tactics that they were going to employ to cause said distraction and chaos - especially given the nature of their Astamon form - Makoto would chuckle, keeping up the appearances of nothing being wrong, as they continued "While I attempt to hold the Meramons' attentions, you all can try to sneak in and see what you can do, to free the Daipenmon. How does that sound, darlings?"
Assuming that the team was all in agreement and on the same page, Makoto would take this time to take in a deep breath - digivolve to their Armor Ultimate - namely, the form of Astamon. It was near-immediate, the veil that settled over Makoto's mind - memories and feelings that were not their own. And yet, they pushed it all aside - cleared their mind, and grasped oh-so-tightly to who they truly were. They knew who they were, they knew what they were - and what they were going to do.
And what they were going to do, was step out into the Warm Room, without a shred of hesitance or fear. They belonged here, after all - slipping under the noses of their foes, slipping their way into their hearts; hearts that Astamon was ready to steal.
"Well well well~ Isn't this quite the sight? So many strong digimon, all in one place...~" Makoto crooned to the Meramon, eyes casting about their surroundings. How might these digimon view them, given how Astamon looked different to each viewer? Given the nature of the form, they were sure that they'd look appealing - if not outright attractive - to anyone that gazed upon them, regardless of friend or foe. Hopefully, this distraction would go well enough, and not immediately come to blows...
Nonetheless, the Astamon would make a show of sighing wistfully, continuing "It's so cold and lonely in this tower, with all the Icemon so busy milling about, so disinterested in a good talk; and yet, there's so many interesting fire digimon here... Perhaps you darlings could all keep me company, for a moment? I'd be more than happy to offer my company in turn; and I'd like to think that my company is very, very, pleasant...~"
They'd conjure a long and elegant-looking smoking pipe in one hand, as they moved towards the Meramon who were working out, and lounged against one of the benches. They'd make a show of going to smoke from the pipe... only to realize that it wasn't lit! (Oh, but of course, Makoto knew this quite well; and they knew that they could light the pipe themselves.) "Ah, dearie me; it appears I forgot to replace my lighter." They'd muse with yet another sigh; glancing over the Meramon present, and extending the pipe to whoever might approach. "Perhaps one of you lovely, tough, digimon could come and help light this for me? I'd oh-so-appreciate it..~"
It didn't feel good, how easily it was for Makoto to lie and put on an act in this form - they didn't exactly like using flirtation and the such to decieve and manipulate, even though it came so naturally to them as Astamon. But this was a situation that likely couldn't be solved with a fight, at least not a head-to-head one - the group was outnumbered and outmatched, as it was.
Either way though - the sooner that they could get this over with, and be able to shed this false skin, the better.

Given the entire group was back together now, there was really no need to feel such trepidation at the onset of...well, the rest of why they were even in this shithole. This terrible, frigid palace full of whatever the heck. "I'm with Makoto on this. Daipenmon is about half of why we're here--so ensuring he's safe should be a priority before we try dealing with WinterBitchmon and the Tyrant."
Of course, that was followed by a confused look to Nanami and Cream. "...But I wanna protect you too, though." The fox admitted. So, with the plan of hoping Makoto could distract the Meramon long enough for the group to try freeing Daipenmon...Omen waited. Once they had gone in, it was her turn to go in. An idea crossed her mind as she dedigivolved to Wispmon, against all better judgment, before heading in.
Small -was- good for being sneaky.
She made sure to be silent, trying to keep to some cover to avoid being seen by any Meramon that weren't being distracted by Makoto. Her flames even died down a tad to aid in this.
How do you plot a course to the center...Well.
It was best to wait. Head to a stone slab, lie low and quietly. See if the Meramon at the pillars were distracted. Runes at the center...Perhaps if they were disabled...

Lagi, humble as she were, was not one to shy away from praise from anybody. With a quick nod and a proud, beaming smile, the Ghostmon would keep her head up high and put her posture as straight as she could possibly be (well, possible for a ghostly spectre with little experience with those weird things those people called 'legs' and 'feet' and 'knees').
Yet, the more they walked, the more Lagi's fears would start to well up once more; unlike her teammates, already able to hit Champion-level at worst, she was stuck at Rookie, with no guarantee of evolution should danger arise. She already had that close call with the Meramon earlier, and now she was well aware she was once again potentially stepping (hovering?) right into the line of fire. Again.
Still, Omen's words did resonate with her. She couldn't run away once again. She knew that if they had to fight, she would give it til the bitter end, hell or high water. She could only turn her head towards the pink-haired girl and add, "If you need any help during the battle, rest assured we'll do everything we can to save you. You have our word."
A hell of a promise, and one Lagi was now hellbent on keeping, especially for a human.
Thankfully, she had plenty of time to mull on her own terms. Their walk to the Warm Room would be met with virtually no issues whatsoever. She could feel the gradual rush of warm air brush against her skin as she slowly pulled open the door, greeted by the sight of many Meramon. She could feel her heart sink to her toes. Her earlier brush with death was with just one of them. It would be nothing short of a miracle if she could take them all on without sustaining fatal injuries.
But what was Mako going on about? Distraction? Chaos? Of course, our resident prankster of the group knew what that meant, but still, at first she'd briefly tilt her head in wonder. "Chaos...?" She found herself parroting the Fakemon's words as she looked into the eyes of their eerie grinning mask.
She didn't have to wait long for an answer. With Mako briefly clarifying what they'd pull for their distraction, a wide grin could be seen growing from the scarecrow-stitch mouth. Puffing her chest up, and looking the Fakemon dead in the eye once more as she gave a salute to the kitsune-come-monster-jester, a fresh wave of confidence washed over the tiny 'ice golem', "Aye-aye, captain Mako!"
...at least until she saw Mako evolve into Astamon this time around. Her brief fear, however, would quickly be doused by that little voice inside her head, telling her that is still the same Mako. They still love you. With that little reassurance in mind, the Ghostmon would quickly 'sink' into the snow once more, vanishing from plain sight, and deep into the floor, tailing the Wispmon once more from behind without another word, hovering just underneath her feet, and going wherever she went.
All she knew at this point was that she wasn't going to make the same mistake again.

Yuko mimicked Nanami’s badass boss strut to a somewhat more competent degree, though it was unlikely that a bunch of 7 feet tall fire monsters would be intimidated by two puny humans anyway.
Then again, maybe they would be too busy gawking at Makoto’s Armor Ultimate form to notice them. At first glance, an Italian mobster wearing a wolf pelt on their head didn’t exactly scream ‘seductress’, but the non-binary vixen seemed to be doing a great job at it. Taking advantage of the distraction and regressing back to her armless form, Omen seemed to sneak further into the giant room.
“Wow! This Warm Room is really hot. I’m afraid I’m not accustomed. To this kind of temperature.” IceDevimon remarked, wiping some digital sweat off his forehead. “Shhh! Keep quiet…” Yuko whispered, raising a finger in front of her lips. “Makoto can only keep them distracted for so long. We need to come up with a plan.” She then said. “How about we use the Warm Room’s warmth to our advantage?” Jokermon chimed in. “I know that you’ve been slacking on your science classes lately, but surely you know what you get when you pour cold water inside a sauna…” “Steam.” The delinquent girl deduced, her eyes widening. IceDevimon smiled widely, baring his fangs. “I like that idea. I like it very much. Cold Breath…” He called his attack in a low voice. Wonky Digital World physics aside, his frigid breath interacted with the room’s hot temperature, resulting in a thick cloud of steam enshrouding the group, including the Clown Prince’s entourage of Vilemon.
“Poggers. Let’s get moving now… Crap, I can barely see a thing. Nanami-chan, take my hand.” The teenage Tamer whispered, reaching out to grab Nanami’s hand so that the poor child wouldn’t get lost. Little did she know that she had grabbed one of Terriermon’s long ears instead.

"Silly Omen, we'll protect each other!" Was all Nanami had to Omen before she went tiny and moved in.
Yuko's grasp would find safe purchase on Cream's ear, the Terriermon gingerly intertwining the ends of them with Yuko's fingers. Weirdly dexterous. But oddly enough, there wasn't a word of protest. She wasn't very useful compared to the others around, after all. The least she could do was watch after the squishy humans of the group. So while Omen moved to sneak in with Lagi shadowing her, their attempts were further masked by the sudden rush of steam coming into the room.
And yet, while the steam came in, whenever it approached any of the warm, icy pillars, the steam would suddenly just vanish. It seemed that these pillars had some sort of effect on ice and water-based abilities. If a fight were to break out in this room, it may even have implications on water/ice-related abilities. But really, there was only one way to find out. But while the steam couldn't approach anywhere near these pillars, the outskirts near the door had plenty of fog cover.
But as strange as the fog cloud, was, every one of the Meramon's eyes, well, the ones that weren't sleeping, at least, were directed towards a far more obvious figure in the room.
"Hey, close that door, you're fogging up the... oh... oh..." The pair of Meramon working out were the first to approach the enchanting Astamon. In fact, the Meramon spotting the other unceremoniously left his comrade to deal with the weights himself as he pretended to make a casual, confident stride while barely containing his urge to scramble over towards them like a bloody fool. "Hey there, sweet thang..." He said with a fiery, puffed out chest, holding out a thumb to light up Mako's pipe while trying not to stutter. "You know, if you're cold, I'm sure that I could find a couple of ways to raise that temperature of yours... How about you come a little closer and I...AUGHAUGH!!!"
A sudden fountain of blue flames erupted around the Meramon as he collapsed, completely motionless. Over in the center of the room, BlueMeramon was holding his hand out while glaring at the Astamon. "You're not allowed in here. Don't know who you are. Don't care, either. You've got exactly three seconds to get out, unless you wanna end up like Franklin down there."
Oddly enough, the sleeping Meramon didn't budge an inch. But the other two Meramon were eyeing the situation intensely, wondering what was going to happen. And meanwhile, Daipenmon, within his crystal prison, looked down at the situation, looking more curious than anything else.

As the Meramon approached and lit Makoto's pipe, the Astamon would take a moment to take a brief drag from it - before exhaling gently, a pale smoke that smelled almost like lavender or rosemary escaping from their lips. "Much appreciated, lovely; it's good to know that there's still at least some gentlemon in this tower." They hummed, casting the Meramon a coy smile... ... At least, before jumping a bit in surprise, when that fountain of blue flames would suddenly burst up around the Meramon..! Makoto's eyes would peer over to BlueMeramon, and their gaze would briefly narrow in noting that the higher-stage fire digimon wasn't exactly appreciating the show; although this temptress still had their tricks, at the very least. "Now now, darling..." Makoto chuckled - casually stepping a little closer to the BlueMeramon, with a knowing smile on their face as they took in another puff from their pipe. This time, when they exhaled, the smoke would be white - with an almost cloyingly-sweet scent to it - as it drifted in the Ultimate's direction. Were the BlueMeramon to inhale it, it was likely he would begin to feel a little bit more... suggestible, within reason of course. "If you're not interested in me, that's quite fine by me - but I think your men would appreciate a little company and entertainment, if they're here to relax anyhow. It'd be a shame to deprive them of this much~""Besides; I'm not hurting anyone by just sitting around, looking pretty, and talking to all of you big strong digimon, am I? You could even tell me a bit about what you're reading right now, if you wanted...~" A good story is all the better, when you had someone you could talk to about it, after all!
relevant abilities for reference-- [NONCOMBAT PASSIVE] Alluring Form: Makoto's form seems to, visually, vary slightly depending on the viewer. Though they are always identifiably an Astamon, each individual sees Makoto in a different shape (feminine/masculine, bodyshape, etc.) that they would otherwise find attractive or visually appealing. Individuals who have no preference, or who are otherwise resistant to illusions and hallucinations, will instead see Makoto as their true self.
[NONCOMBAT PASSIVE] Mysterious Pipe: Makoto is able to conjure and dismiss a mystical looking smoking pipe at will. The herbs within it never seem to require refilling or replacement, and the smoke that it produces has varied appearances and effects depending on Makoto's current mood and thoughts - as displayed in their moveset.
[ABILITY] White Insight: Taking in a deep inhale from the pipe with a calm and inquisitive intent, Makoto exhales a cloying white fog-like smoke at an individual. If inhaled, the target becomes soothed and suggestible; reducing their attack by 50% for 2 turns. In addition to this, they (with player consent) are more likely to answer Makoto's questions truthfully, and to agree to simple requests that won't cause harm to themselves. [2 Turn Cooldown]

So far, so good, getting in was relatively simple, but...The question was, what now? Omen was not necessarily the best equipped for this situation given the ice seemed to be engineered to an extent to siphon heat. And all she had in her repertoire was moves that generated heat! Like, what the hell, man?
That left her clawed tail, and barring that...digivolving and using the ghostly frontal limbs to try breaking the ice. Yet, she was unsure how well that would go...
Yet, BlueMeramon seemed to have noticed Makoto, and...Mmgh. She had to be ready to protect them, didn't she? Or try to, even if she was far weaker than they were...
"Hey, Lagi, if anything breaks out, could you try throwing something at the pillars? I don't think any attacks of mine can like...do anything to them but maybe blunt force might..." Omen whispered to the Ghostmon!

Nanami’s hand felt unusually soft and fluffy, but Yuko didn’t think much of it. As the group snuck into the Warm Room under an all-obscuring veil of mist, they quickly found out that going anywhere near those pillars was generally not a good idea. “Shit… let’s try to walk around them.” The Japanese delinquent whispered. “Also, whoever this is, please stop touching my butt.” She added. “Sorry…” One of the Vilemon meekly apologized. “It’s hard to see anything in this mist.”
Meanwhile, BlueMeramon did not approve of his cohort’s pickup lines (no sane being would approve, to be honest), additionally telling Makoto that she was not welcome there. While the pipe-smoking temptress tried to sweet-talk him, Yuko’s eyes were drawn to one of the Meramon that was asleep, nudging the others to follow her lead.
Quietly sneaking up behind the sleeping Meramon, the teenage Tamer pointed at its fiery limbs. “Now, IceDevimon.” “With pleasure. Zero Freeze.” The cold-blooded Devimon variant called another attack name in a low voice, shooting a cooling beam from his clawed hand that partially encased the Meramon’s legs in ice, binding the Flame Digimon to its own bed. “That should keep him in place, but probably not for long. He is made of fire, after all.” The punk girl mused. “Let’s get the rest of them now…” She said, directing the mist-concealed group to gradually make their way towards the Meramon that was weightlifting.

Things were cooling... heating... things were slightly becoming more tense as the situation progressed. IceDevimon's makeshift steamscreen began to naturally spread through the room, where the denizens of the room began to notice the conspicuous cloud of too-humid air expanding out and thinning out as a result. If IceDevimon didn't make another one soon, the group would be noticed immediately. Granted, if IceDevimon did make another fog, in this oddly otherwise dry atmosphere, would kind of be a dead giveaway. If Nanami or Cream... okay, if Cream had any ideas, she wasn't sharing. The duo were trudging alongside Yuko, being as quiet as possible. About as helpful as a large rabbit-shaped backpack and pink-haired idiot could be, really. Thankfully, IceDevimon managed to successfully land on one of the sleeping Meramon. Which, you know, wasn't an impressive feat, but it was fortunate, nonetheless! What wasn't fortunate, however, was the Meramon now had his legs covered in ice. His eyes shot wide open as he let out a hoarse scream of pain as his fiery body reacted very strongly to his new icy bindings. A scream, unfortunately, heard by everyone within the room. The Meramon sleeping nearby shot up, looking around completely confused but clearly on alert. The Meramon in the north, still clearly looking-uncomfortable, looked around for any dangers, but still only saw the fog, Makoto, and everyone else who belonged. Dave the benchpressing Meramon was still struggling not to let the weights crush him after Franklin the horny Meramon ditched him to hit on Makoto only to get punished by BlueMeramon. And as for the titular Meramon recolor? He noticed the little skirmish, and despite their honeyed words, Makoto's words seemed to fall on deaf ears. Instead, BlueMeramon simply held up a hand and started counting. "I said you have until the count of three to leave. One... Two... Th-" His count was interrupted by the other Meramon's scream as he turned back towards Mako and the hand that held up two-and-one-partially-raised finger instead snapped them together, causing a rush of blue fire towards them. Though oddly enough, it seemed like it would only hurt them about half as much as it would normally. Probably thanks to their September Fog.
tl;dr section - In the center of the room, only BlueMeramon takes action while the three Meramon inside the pillars simply watch with curiosity. BlueMeramon uses his Blue Flame Snap towards Makoto, though its damage is halved from their White Insight ability. - 1 Meramon remains in the western portion. He's currently still struggling with the weights of his sins. Or at least, literal weights. - 1 Meramon remains in the northern portion. While he's alert, he's not engaging in combat just yet. - 2 Meramon remain in the eastern portion of the room. One is currently shocked awake from IceDevimon's Zero Freeze ability, seemingly very affected by this ice-elemental ability. The other Meramon was shocked awake, and unable to act. - Nanami and Cream are still alongside Yuko. They have yet to take action. Relevant Abilities BlueMeramon
[NPC-ONLY] BlueMeramon Privilege - BlueMeramon is immune to any fire, ice, or cold-based attacks. BlueMeramon's flames are always cold, but can be considered fire-based or cold-based, whatever is more convenient. Boss Privilege, yo.
Cold-Hearted - BlueMeramon is ice-cold, but the dude doesn't freeze. He can't be immobilized, unless he's affected by two abilities doing so.
Undaunted - BlueMeramon is immune to any effects that would prevent him from attacking, unless he's affected by two abilities doing so.
Blue Flame Snap - BlueMeramon snaps his fingers, ripping off some car or horse guy from some human-world manga he read. Anyway, one poor sap gets struck with blue flames. 1-post cooldown.
Meramon
I'm a Meramon - Meramon is immune to any heat or fire-based attack. They lose 10% of their health from any cold, ice, or water-based ability, however, regardless of whether it deals damage or not.
Cooldowns and Durations Blue-Flame Burst - 1/2 Blue Flame Snap - 0/1

OOC: Sorry for skipping the last post; life has been pretty wild for me recently A major problem with hiding within the snow below was that Lagi could only see what was in front of her, and not the world above. Thankfully, this did not translate to her not being able to hear anything that was going on. Still, she could only give a nod of affirmation to Omen's words, lest they ended up drawing attention to themselves. She merely stood on alert, listening to Mako's flirtatious words, and IceDevimon's sucker punch.
...and that sharp scream of pain coming from the victim.
Could she afford herself the peek? Two beady eyes would emerge from the ground, only to widen in alarm as a rush of flame came flying towards Mako at high speeds.
Oh no. She had to act. Fast.
Suddenly, before the flames were to engulf them, Mako would find a cold clammy hand wrap around their leg emerging from the ground, and a bright blue aura engulfing them and the hand. And in the blink of an eye, they'd find themselves standing just a little farther away from the literal line of fire as it barrelled through where they once stood. The hand would disappear once more without so much as a warning, leaving Mako safe, at least for now.
Now what would happen next? Things hadn't gotten too bad just yet. She eyed some of the pillars around her. What would be the best pillar to help defeat the BlueMeramon? So far, they themselves had stayed undetected, but when push came to shove, they had to do what they could to survive.
Lagi uses Up and Away to save Makoto from being hit by BlueMeramon's attack.
Up and Away: Lagi, with her palms glowing blue, and whoever she touches during this ability (up to 2 allies as long as they're close to her), glow a bright blue before vanishing and reappearing 5 meters away from their starting point in the blink of an eye. A simple, effective, and welcoming teleport, just in case she or her allies find themselves in danger. She can use another active ability at the same time as this, but this will increase the cooldown of both this attack and the other attack at the same time by 1. (3 post cooldown)
Cooldowns: Up and Away: 0/3

Well, well, well, looks like their cover had been blown thanks to the loudly screaming Meramon. No longer was there a need for Yuko’s group to hide themselves in their totally inconspicuous, totally not out-of-place mist. Jokermon clicked his fingers, prompting his demonic mercenaries to flap their leathery wings in unison, dispersing said mist. “Hello there. Pardon the intrusion. Of your fine establishment.” IceDevimon casually greeted the group of shocked Meramon, waving his clawed hand at them. “Aaaand that’s what happens when minions sleep on the job!” The Demon Man Digimon declared, flicking the screaming Meramon on the forehead, only for his finger to get lightly sizzled by the flames. “Calm down, my fiery friends. This was just a drill. I’m Jokah-sama, Demon King of the Digital World, and one of the Crystal Tyrant’s newest allies at the top of the hierarchy. Feel free to ask WinterWitchmon, if you don’t trust my word. I wouldn’t bother her at this hour, though. She tends to get cranky when people interrupt her midday nap…” He mused, grinning widely. Naturally, while explaining himself, Jokah saw fit to sit on the struggling Meramon’s weights, like a mean drill sergeant bullying his troops. “Keep at it, boy! I wanna see you burn that fat away, pun intended. As I was saying, this was just a test to see what the Tyrant’s best would do in the event of an actual break-in. This one let his guard down and look what happened to him.” He said, pointing at the Meramon whose limbs had been frozen. “Damn, that’s pretty rough. What would a real intruder do then?” Yuko asked, playing along with her partner’s charade. The conniving clown hummed in deep thought, still sitting on the Meramon’s weights by the way. “Hmmmmm, after incapacitating one of your fellow guards, a real intruder would no doubt try to swiftly deal with the rest of you before you could call for backup. I’ll let my assistant, IceDevimon, demonstrate as part of your training…” He said, clicking his fingers again. “For the record. This is still a drill. We’re all friends here, wow! Icy Shower!” IceDevimon exclaimed, spreading his hole-riddled wings and summoning a rain of extremely sharp icicles, aiming them at the Meramon that stood in the northern portion and the non-frozen Meramon that stood in the eastern portion. IceDevimon Icy Shower [Attack]: Releases a barrage of very sharp icicles from his wings, hitting multiple opponents. Has a 3 turn cooldown. Cooldowns: Icy Shower - 0/3

Oh dear, Makoto couldn't help but mentallt sigh; it seemed that things were getting a little bit out of hand, despite they and their teammates' attempts to take a more subtle approach. On one hand, you had BlueMeramon - who was completely uninterested in playing along with the Astamon's flirting, and even seemed to not be swayed by the effects of the smoke. But on the other hand, you also had IceDevimon - who was now being sicced on the other Meramons by Jokermon under the guise of some strange drill, after their original cover got blown..!!
Makoto supposed that chaos was unavoidable, at this point - though on the bright side, before they could even need to dodge, a mysterious benefactor of a ghostly nature had come along to whisk them away from the incoming flames...! Smiling in an almost cheeky fashion though, Makoto would play this off as their own ability (mostly so as to avoid blowing Lagi's cover,) - stepping further aside and crooning to the BlueMeramon "Oh, darling, so close~" with a wry and playful smile. "You really ought to learn to calm down, sweetheart - getting all stressed out like this just isn't good for you, y'know? And besides..."
Winking flirtatiously, they'd make a point to make eye contact with the azure digimon - casually stepping closer, letting their body sway as they took in a deep breath from their pipe...
... Before exhaling a deep violet-black smoke, the look in their eyes being that of something far more sinister, as a foreign impulse fell over Makoto. "... You have much more to be worried about now. Should've played nice, naughty boy~" They'd croon in a faux sickly-sweet tone, as the smoke seemed to gather about the pipe - solidifying, taking on the appearance of a long thorned whip. Swinging it forward, the Astamon would attempt to lash BlueMeramon with the whip.
The weapon itself seemed to be filled with malice, a malice that was very unlike Makoto... But was very like a scorned Lilithmon.
- With Lagi's help, Makoto dodges BlueMeramon's Blue Flame Snap - In retaliation, Makoto attacks BlueMeramon with Onyx Dusk
Move Used: [ATTACK] Onyx Dusk: Taking in a deep breath from their pipe with a dark and grim intent, Makoto exhales a shadowy black - almost violet - smoke. Both the smoke and the pipe turn into a long and thorned whip, with which Makoto strikes the foe both physically, and mentally. Upon being struck, the foe is filled with an inexplicable panic that drives them to disengage from the fight and flee for 1 turn! While fleeing, the enemy is still able to use their moves; but they are focused far less on fighting, and far more on simply getting away. [4 Turn Cooldown]
Passive: [PASSIVE] Spawn of Lust: Makoto inherently knows the trickery that a digimon of Lust can employ, and how to resist it - it takes one to know one, after all. Makoto is immune to effects that would affect their emotions (rage, pacification, fear, etc.) on top of effects relating to charming or mind control, or one's own desires.
Cooldowns: White Insight - Waiting Onyx Dusk - 0/4

Well, if it weren't for the fact that the group was already in a place called the Warm Room, Omen'd crack a pun about things heating up. Except that wasn't really in Omen's 'programming' as it were. And wow oh wow, it seemed like she had been left to her own devices.
"...Okay."
She had been wondering if her claws were sharp enough to try disrupting those pillars...And given the sheer amount of commotion going on, now was a perfect time to find out. Omen would leap forth, the light of Digivolution shining upon her as the now-Teumesmon went to slash at...one of the runes powering the flame siphon thing that's funneling heat to DaiPenmon.
Disrupt it. Screw it up. Anything she could do, she was trying. I'm a bit too lazy to put a log down, but she's using a basic attack and has a agility passive going--she hasn't swapped any moves out yet.
