Tsubaki's Side
As Tsubaki lifted up her shirt in front of the restroom mirror, the woman besides her let out a scream. She nearly fell over from the shock, and looked around her to see what was going on, only to see the woman staring at her. Seriously, she realized that it was a rather indecent thing to do in a public restroom, but did she have to be so judgy?
But upon further inspection, the wickedly dark bruise on her side might be what the woman was screaming about. She had a bit of a headache from getting hit over the head a couple of times, but this was the main pain culprit. Curious, Tsubaki poked it a few times, only for her vision to blur with an excruciating amount of pain and regret. Probably shouldn't have done that!
"Should I... should I call an ambulance...?" The woman asked in disbelief. Tsubaki shrugged as she lowered her shirt down.
"Nah, It doesn't hurt all that much!" She said as the extreme pain began to subside to a dull ache that did indeed hurt that much. Plus she was finding it pretty hard to breathe for some reason. She gave the woman an easy-going grin. "I had a bit of a disagreement with some dudes from my class, but we managed to come to an understanding!"
"Guys... as in plural!?"
Tsubaki nodded in confirmation. "Yep! Three guys all at once!" She exclaimed with a satisfied expression. To be fair, it was a new personal record for her to walk away from a fight like that. "And after I was through with them, I made sure none of them would walk straight for a week!" At that point, another woman had opened the restroom door, only to immediately back out after hearing what Tsubaki just said. Weirdo. "Anyways, I gotta go! Make sure to wash your hands, lady!" She sucked in some air from her nose, and began to slowly make her way out of Shibuya Station's restroom.
And almost immediately the world around her began to blur. As she began to make her way into the crowd. She kept bumping into person after person, mumbling out apology after apology as she tried to make sense of her surroundings.
Okay, so maybe her head injury were a little more than bumps and bruises as well.
Tsubaki needed to get away from the crowd and find a place to sit down. She slowly made her way through the crowd, going to areas with fewer and fewer people, until she arrived at a station where there wasn't anyone at all. She had never been to this one before, and her eyes must have been playing tricks on her, because she couldn't read the writing on any of the signs. And there wasn't a bench in sight. Even so, a quiet, empty place to sit down or a little bit would probably do her wonders, so she slowly lowered herself and sat down, leaning against a wall.
Tsubaki was hurting pretty badly, but a little bit of rest would give her the strength to get home. After that, all she needed was a good night's sleep and...
Connie's Side They all said that it was a terrible idea. That he was far too young to leave the Village of Beginnings. They told him not to go to the lands beyond, and especially not the world beyond. But he was Constance St. Bernard. And though he may still be but a fuzzy-wuzzy Wanyamon that wasn't quite a Rookie level, Connie knew that he would be fine, for his ironclad sense of justice would be his shield, and his devotion to righteousness would be his mighty blade to cut down even the foulest of villainy. He didn't know why he had these thoughts, but he knew that staying back home would not help him. So Connie set out in the middle of the night, took the train to Terminus, and let fate decide where he ended up next. And fate brought him to a... rather plain-looking train station. Though the air around him felt all... weird. Wasn't like anywhere in the Digital World he had ever thought about. But something there caught his eye. An unconscious... what were they called again? One of those weak things that always had other Digimon serve them! Hyumons! There was a Hyumon lying unconscious, slumped against a wall! Was she the victim of some heinous crime? He had to know! So Constance hopped towards the unconscious girl, right onto her lap and began to gently slap the Hyumon's face with his tail. "If you can hear me, unconscious Hyumon, answer me! Who was the foul villain that attacked you so?"

You know, it was really odd how calm things had been on the side of the human world. Auntie Yuki and Auntie Naoko had both warned Nereid about DATS, and while they DID meet that one agent that one time, she hadn't seen any since! Not knowing what else to explain that with, the clam disguised as a lady entered the usual train platform to return to the Digital World from, and...came across a...A thing.
A Wanyamon slapping an unconscious human with his tail. Nereid peered around a few times, confirming the coast was clear, before she set her bag down, and deactivated her holosuit to reveal...
A clam. A Syakomon that slowly slid over. "I think she's out cold, buddy! ...What happened to her?"

Connie's Side
Another creature had approached. A human that... turned into a Digimon! That made sense, he supposed. He recalled learning something like that in the Village of Beginnings, but he thought that he had no need for that. After all, a true hero of justice needed no disguise, right? It wasn't like he was going to ever need a secret identity or anything! After all, those were for those fools who weren't vigilant to uphold justice 24/7!
But even though this Syakomon wasn't a true believer in justice like Constance St. Bernard, the true hero of justice, he supposed he shouldn't be so judgmental. After all, she seemed concerned over this unconscious Hyumon, after all! "I am not sure just yet!" He admitted, continuing to wag his tail in front of the unconscious girl's face. "I had just found her, while she had no doubt been just assaulted by villains!"
"That tickles..." A soft mumble, but one Constance St. Bernard, the herald of true justice and most certainy not the perceiver of quiet whispers, wasn't able to hear.
"I was just trying to awaken this poor victim in order to punish the dastardly foes responsible!" He concluded. He nodded toward the Syakomon, but with his body shape it was a full-on bow. "It is nice to meet you, but the way! I am the shining wolf of light and justice, Con-EEEEEEEEE!!!!"
"I'm tellin' you that it tickles, dammit!" The unconscious Hyumon, or rather, formerly unconscious Hyumon, snatched the tail in front of her face and spun the poor baby Digimon around in the air before slamming his body down on the floor. Tsubaki's Side
"Oh, damn, that's some seriously soft fur..." She noted as she pressed the whatever the hell kind of animal's face down onto the floor. "Is this some kind of rat or something? Does Japan finally have pizza rats now?" Tsubaki's thoughts began to wander for a second, but the pain in her abdomen shot her back into reality. "Oh... yeah... that's still a thing..." She sucked in the pain through her teeth, noticing a large clam sitting right next to her.
That was certainly a strange thing to see. Blue-furred rats she could excuse, but getting into a staring contest with a clam? That was gonna be on the top of her "what the fuck" list for a while. Still... what exactly was she supposed to say in this situation. Welp... might as well be casual. "Yo." She addressed the clam, give a short wave with her free hand.

Of course this Syakomon wasn't a believer in justice. She was a believer in shipping. A form of justice far beyond that of justice itself. How could anyone not believe that was justice? The Syakomon let out a quiet 'hmmm' as she slid closer. "Just been assaulted? There'd have been people around if she were just assaulted...So maybe she got in a fight a while ago?" Nereid had never been in a fight.
Unless you count that one time with that EbiBurgamon...
Now, Nereid had no tail or anything, she was just a clam. So, this meant she had every right to a front row seat of Conn-EEEEEEEEE getting grabbed by the tail and slammed! Wow! That was brutal! "Hahaha! I'm Nereid, it's nice to meet you!"
That was her last statement or sorts before she got into a staring contest with the recently awakened victim of a beating. "Hi!" She said, merrily as ever. "Who beat you up? I wanna go beat them up! Since Conn-EEEEEEEE just got floored and all."

"Whoa, a talking clam! How about that!" Tsubaki marveled. Was she taking this well because she was in a somewhat loopy state? Probably. She was still in quite a bit of pain, so it definitely wasn't a dream! She was at least that rational. Anyways, this little thing said its name was Nereid? Whe could recall that much after waking up. "'Sup! You can call me Tsubaki!" She felt the soft carpet-like texture underneath her hand wiggle a little bit. Oh yeah, the weird rat! She lifted the creature up by its tail, giving it a closer look.
"Unhand me, you black-clad fiend!" It protested in outrage. But Tsubaki was too distracted by other things. Like how it was kinda adorable.
"Huh. I guess this looks more like a dog or cat than a rat..." She pointed out. "Oh, and this one talks, too! I think Nereid just said your name was... Connie?"
"It is not Connie! My name is Constance St. Bernard, the shining wolf of ju-"
"Kan-su-tensu sei-n-to... I can't say all that, man! I'mma just call you Connie!" She grinned as she patted the blue fuzzball on the back, causing Connie to rock back and forth a bit.
Nereid had asked her where she got her injuries, and she laughed it off, causing another surge of pain. "Ah, all this is nothin'! Just a bit of a disagreement 'tween me n' some classmates! I thought a lost wallet should've been turned in to the faculty lounge, and some other guys disagreed. Things got a little heated, but they eventually got to see my point of view!" Her easygoing grin turned a tad bit mischievous as she recalled the rush she felt earlier today.
"Wait... so you were off fighting ne'er-do-wells? And putting a stop to villainy...?" Connie looked over towards the girl with an enamored expression.
Tsubaki shrugged, letting go of the fuzzball and letting it hop back to its... whatever. "Huh? Nah, just kinda got into a scrap, is all! Happens all the time, ya know?" She looked over towards the strange creatures. "So... what brings you guys around these parts. They have trains comin' goin' to the ocean these days? I think I heard about that on the news or something..."
Still a little loopy, admittedly.

"Hell yeah I'm a talking clam! I'm not a head injury-induced hallucination at all!" Nereid? Not being real? That's crazy! "My name's Nereid! But most just call me Reid." The clam nodded at least five times in rapid succession while Tsubaki went and manhandled Connie like nobody's business.
"Connie...I like that name too."
Not as great as Conn-EEEEEE though. Really. "Well, I hope they returned that wallet, then! Or I'm going to go beat them up myself!" And nobody wanted to be on the receiving end of a beatdown from a six foot tall Ranamon... "Weeeelll! I have a train to wait for here. But. I can wait, honestly. Head injuries are no joke! Do you need ice or anything? I can try making an ice pack or something..."
...Wait, how was she gonna do that? Shit.

"Oh, it's nice to meetcha, Reid!" Tsubaki unconsciously put her fist out towards the weird sea creature, though she realized that a fist bump with a clam might be more than a little awkward. "Ah, sorry, not used to talkin' to clams, ya know?" Tsubaki crossed her arms, looking towards the round, fuzzball and the clam creature. Something about these two was off, but she couldn't quite tell what it was. Maybe 'cause they were talking to her? It was a little weird, but there wasn't any rule out there that said that clams couldn't talk. After all... had anyone ever really tried before?
"But those guys are probably gonna be limping home for a few days still, and I turned the wallet in myself!" She had turned it in to her homeroom teacher, though she bounced before he could ask where she got all her injuries. A thought occurred to her. "Though I guess if my teacher doesn't steal it, first... I really don't want to have to hit another teacher..."
But when Reid expressed her concerns towards her, Tsubaki just laughed it off, causing an eruption of pain from her sides. Probably wasn't the best idea as she hunched over in pain and gritted her teeth, but she just gave the clam creature a thumbs-up. "No need! My head's pretty tough, ya know?" She seemed fairly dismissive of the concept of her needing medical attention. Maybe she just hated doctors?
"But enough about me, I've never spoken to a clam before! So which sea ya from?" Wait... was that a racist, or clammist question to ask? Tsubaki wasn't sure, but it would probably be fine! "And what brought you to Japan, or are you just passing through?"
Meanwhile, Constance St. Bernard, the young wolf of justice, simply stared back at the human, impressed by how casual she was acting, considering her circumstances. She performed a simple act of justice, for no reward and suffered a great deal because of it, yet she was simply having a conversation with a stranger.
Her wearing black was certainly a sign of her being an anti-hero, but she didn't seem to be a bad person. Could she be... the one?

Nereid would close her eyes, and nodded her head(?) a few times as Tsubaki spoke. The concern never really left the clam, though. "Wait, you beat teachers up too? That's cool, do they teach you any cool moves for it?" ...Huh?
"And tough or not, that's still pretty bad if you're bleeding from there..." The Syakomon began before she blinked. What sea? "Uh. I'm not from a sea. Well, I wasn't born at a sea. I was born in a library, you see. My parents got -really- drunk one night and then my egg showed up! It was very scary to find, according to my mom. But then I hatched and couldn't stop saying Poyo."
This was a real thing that had happened, as unbelievable as it seemed.
"As for what brought me here...I was visiting my aunt Naoko! You might know her, she graduated school like...a year ago? I think? Uh. Girl with blue hair. Got in trouble like twice for kicking someone below the belt according to her." ...There was probably no chance that Tsubaki knew this girl unless she had been attending the Shibuya high school before...last year?
But, no biggie.
"Either way, I'll just say right now that I'm not just a clam! I can turn into a mermaid, too! Connie can probably corroborate this." Could he?

"Only the teachers that try and get away with shit..." Tsubaki answered with a groan. Her head was aching. "And they don't teach me stuff for it, either. In fact, they teach me less. I get suspended."
And the clam wasn't from the sea, huh? "The library? Well, even though you're pretty open right now, I guess that's why you look so shell-tered..." Blame the injuries for the bad pun. That's what Tsubaki was doing the moment it escaped from her lips. But as for Connie, he didn't seem fazed by the pun. In fact, he didn't seem to acknowledge it altogether.
Tsubaki had to think a little when Nereid brought up some blue-haired girl with a penchant for violence. If she could recall, Tsubaki remembered a girl that was like that at her school, but she could have sworn her name was Junko or something like that. Eh, maybe she just got the names wrong or something.
Then she brought up the fact that she was actually a mermaid. Which Connie couldn't corroborate. "Well... I cannot confirm this, but she's an aquatic Digimon so I can't say that she's lying, either..." He admitted.
"So you're a mermaid visiting your aunt... okay..." She leaned back and closed her eyes for a second, about ready to pass out.
