At first, Miki was pretty worried. She was going to be traveling underwater, right? She thought she was horrendously ill-prepared for this. But at Goma's insistence, she decided to go to this place. Both Miki and Gomamon realized that they wanted to explore the vastness of the Digital World, but before they did so, Miki wanted to see Gomamon's world, first.
After all, you can tell a great a little bit about someone just knowing where they come from. And if Miki and Gomamon were partners, however that was supposed to work, then wouldn't it be better if Miki could better understand Gomamon and his perspective? When she brought it up, Gomamon seemed fairly indifferent to the idea, though. Gomamon wanted to explore the mainland, as the little seal Digimon had already spent his entire childhood in the waters. But he managed to accept Miki's proposal, so long as they went to a place that Gomamon had never been to before.
The depths had always been a little too dangerous for the Gomamon to travel alone, and as reliable as his fishy friends were, they weren't excellent traveling companions. But now he had a partner to travel alongside with him! Sure, she may be one of those humans that can't really do anything except flail around uselessly most of the time, but she was better than nothing! Plus she wanted to adventure just as much as Gomamon did, so they were perfect for each other.
Miki had a little trouble adjusting to her new mask though. Apparently it let her breathe underwater, but for the life of her she couldn't figure out how. But it was Digital World technology, something created by a bunch of virtual monsters, so she had a little bit of learning to do in the first place. But for a world comprised entirely of data, things certainly felt real to Miki. Water was wet, and she swam about as well as she did in the human world.
But just because she had Digital World technology didn't mean that Miki didn't prepare back in the human world! She made sure to at least bring some light, and she stayed up pretty late looking up sign language that divers used to communicate with Gomamon while underwater (The fact that Gomamon didn't understand any of it never occurred to her).
Which brought the pair here. In an underwater city, where barely anyone was present. There was a city up above them, but Gomamon wanted to explore the depths. Was there treasure there? Were there dangerous monsters? Probably not. After all, this was such an isolated place! Why would a dangerous monster choose to be here when there were barely any other people around to know how scary and dangerous they were?
So the pair decided to swim down to the underwater depths of the Elysium. Miki considered herself a strong swimmer, but unsurprisingly, Gomamon would often have to slow down and stop entirely in order to wait for the young girl to catch up. He still needed to get used to having someone travel alongside him! But he couldn't help it! He was on an adventure with a friend! And whoever they met, or whatever they found, it was sure to be something good! After all, having a bad adventure would just be the worst, wouldn't it? Armor Hunt Word Count: 558/1500

Following on from her battle against the Gesomon and her meeting with what she could call, the lovable but monstrous creature of the deep. Levi found herself once more in the ocean depths. Deep enough that she had passed the line of no return but not deep enough to find the city that way at the most deep point of the Sunken Elysium. A harmony for all sea-breather Digimon. Or so she had thought.
Due to their lack of belonging, some of the sea-dwellers had been forced out. Instead finding home in a secure and nestled away coral reef between the point of no return and the ‘harmony’, itself. It had been protected by a great Digimon who passed due to advanced age and as a result of too many battles.
Shaking her head as if to clear her mind, Levi pushed on, using her strong fins to propel herself deeper into the water. For any air-breathing or even some sea-dwelling Digimon. The increased pressure can prove as a difficult challenge.
Using the current, Levi propelled herself left. Her tail steering her like the rudder of a boat. The metal chain falling loosely and gently moving from side to side, pushed by the waves. This led her to two tall flattened rocks, standing horizontally, almost like gates. Although a tight squeeze, she found her way through onto the dense but bright reef beyond.
A bright palette of reef, every color imaginable. Some long and thin, like tentacles, gently rocking backwards and forwards. Others flat and cell-like and embedded in stone.
“Back! You are!”
The voice came out of nowhere, but before Levi could make a move to defend against an attack. Something crashed into her. One, two, three crashes. The weight so great that she began to sink down into the depths.
“We’f thought you’d been eaten by one of those monster or carried away by the...the...the tentacled one.”
Levi pushed them away with her fins. But, found herself smiling.
“Levi would take more than thats to be beatened.”
Now at a distance, she caught the sight of some of the reefs occupants. Crabmon, Syakomon and Sangomon. Each of them wore a look of concern and worry on their faces. Syakomon’s shell shot open to talk and then closed once again as if scared of another attack. Crabmon couldn’t help but click his claws closed on each word.
“Levi told you’ze. We’ze safe if we lay low here.”

Through the goggles of her breathing apparatus, Miki was able to look into the depths below. Gomamon was ahead of her, occasionally turning around and gesturing for the young human to follow him. But Miki was intent on taking in her surroundings, first. While this kind of thing was completely normal to Gomamon, Miki was out of her element here. Miki was a strong swimmer and wasn't a stranger to the water, but she had never gone on an actual expedition before. And that was back in her world. Would everything work exactly the same in a world that was made up from data, according to those she met previously? Miki wasn't so sure, so she wanted to take things nice and slow. Anything worth exploring was likely going to still be there, no matter how long she took, after all!
But Gomamon was a little less patient. He summoned his fishie friends, telling them to fan out and search for interesting places. If there was something interesting, Miki might go a bit faster, after all! And so a swarm of Gomamon's fishie-friends scattered about the area, swimming their little bodies through the waters to take a gander at the area around.
One such area was a pair of flattened rocks, through a narrow passage, and into a bright, colorful reef and its denizens within. The strange-looking fish made no attempt to conceal it's presence. It simply stared at Levi and her compatriots for a long moment, before turning tail and swimming off. It seemed to have accomplished its mission. WC: 818/1500

Shivering slightly at the thought of attack by a larger predator. Even though, each of Levi’s companions were quite used to the icy chill from the sheer depth of the water. They couldn’t help but show fear at the idea, especially after the loss of Marine.
“B-b-b-but. What if something does...” Crabmon muttered, the claws clicking with each spoken word.
Levi shook her head and looked away, out towards the opening in the stone, which led into the deeper depths of the ocean.
“I dont’s fink, we has much to fears now. You do’ze remember what is out the side.”
Of course, she was thinking of the giant, monster-like but oddly lovable creature who has helped her in her battle with the Gesomon. With utmost ease had Nokk taken out the Gesomon. In a way, almost like it was playing, rather than battling a sworn opponent.
“Back! What if it come?!” The little pink digimon muttered, shaking visibly against the bright coral backdrop.
Somehow, after such a fierce walloping. Levi highly doubted it. Instead she smiled and as she turned her head back towards her three frightened friends. She caught sight of it.
It stared directly at Levi and friends. Levi stared back, her large yellow eyes opened wide with sudden confusion. It was quite unlike any digifish, she had ever encountered. The little shark tilted her head ever so slightly and the peculiar fish stared back.
Before Levi could speak, the fish turned tail and swam away. Back the way, it had come, through the opening between the stone slates and out of sight. Once again, her three friends cowered, even from this tiny but rather fish creature.
“What do we do?!” Crabmon cried, clicking its claws worse than ever. “Report to Gesomon, it might?!” Sangomon said, flapping it’s tentacle-like arms into the air. “Everyone swim for your lives!!” Syakomon muttered, even though it couldn’t move easily due to its heavy shell.
As Levi looked on the mobile digimon began to swim away, oddly carrying the shell between them. Levi sighed and said in a loud, carrying voice.
“Go an’ hides. Levi find out what was.”
As her three friends retreated into the coral’s depths. Pushing her tail against the stone wall, Levi shot forward. Swimming at full speed after the little fish. She soon passed through the boundaries of their little hideaway and into the wide and seemingly deserted sea.
For a moment, Levi stared around. But all she could make out was the shadows of stones, floating seaweed and the sound of her own chain rattling behind her as she swam.
“If anyone thar! Come out! Little feesh, friend?!”
Levi continued to turn her head from left to right, but was unable to catch sight of anyone or any fish.

And as Levi made her way out into the open, she left herself exposed to the predators of the ocean. Levi may be an apex predator of the ocean, but there was a force even greater than the ocean.
The predator of friendship.
"Hi there!" Gomamon cried out, swimming up behind the shark Digimon and swimming circles around her. "I'm Gomamon, nice to meetcha!" The white-furred seal Digimon gave the Tridemon a goofy, yet friendly smile. "Say, what's your name? I've never seen a Digimon like you before? Are you one of those 'ultra deep-dwellers'? I don't actually know if those are a thing, but it would certainly sound cool if they did!" He Gomamon let out a chuckle as he motioned upwards. From above, a human girl was swimming her way towards them, her body covered in a black-and-red wetsuit and her face covered in a mask.
And the Gomamon seemed pretty excited that he didn't give Levi much room to speak. "And this is Miki! I don't really understand it very well, but we're partners, and we're traveling together! We're on an adventure, and did I mention that it's nice to meet you? 'Cause it really is!" WC: 1017/1500

Darkness swelled from all sides. An empty, dark stretch of clear ocean at least as far as she could see. Her eyes widened as she tried to catch sight of any thing that may be lurking out of sight. Her little feet softly paddling, up and down as she tread water.
Then, out of nowhere a digimon appeared. Levi didn’t even have chance to ready her trident or even raise it. She opened he mouth in surprise and almost spat out the handle.
She was thinking it was some devilish sea monster trying to sneak attack her. Maybe the return of the Gesomon whom she fought alongside Nokk or something similar. But she was wrong as the Digimon who swam before her was small and seal-like. The first thing that caught her eye was the mohawk of orange hair dancing in the ocean water. The white body standing out from the blackened sea and the large but quite kind looking eyes.
The unknown digimon swam circles around the little shark, who had by now readied her trident. Although, this seemed quite unneeded, as if Gomamon was wishing to attack her. It could have done so, many times over by now.
Nevertheless, Levi blinked rapidly. As she tried to take in the many words uttered by this newcomer in such a short space of time. The only part of his babble that Levi caught was his name was Gomamon. The rest had been lost.
Levi tilted her head slightly, once more. As Gomamon pointed up with his paw. Levi blinked even more vigorously. As she took in a most odd sight. The creature that swam down to them was unlike any digimon that Levi had ever seen nor met. Oddly shaped, with a smallish head but long appendages. A mask covering their face.
“Levi confuzed,” Levi admitted.
After a moment of confused silence, Levi opened her mouth and uttered slowly and with an inflection of confusion.
“Mikimon-friend? Never seen Digimon like Mikimon before...”
“Sea are dangerous. Follow, new frens. Okey doke?” She said, quite clearly and quite knowingly that anyone can strike from anywhere in these dangerously deep waters. As proven by the little seal, only moments ago.
“We go to home. Then, safe?” Levi said, swimming away. But slowly so that Gomamon and the mysterious ‘Miki-mon’ could follow in her slipstream.

Gomamon let out a laugh as Levi spoke. "It's okay, don't be confused! We're just friends around here! Me, you, my fish buddies, and Miki!" And as Levi acknowledged the human girl, Gomamon let out a gasp. "Wait... Miki! You were a Digimon this entire time? I thought that you were a human all along!"
But Miki wasn't sure how she should respond. In fact, she wasn't sure how she should respond. Could... she even speak with this mask on? Deep-sea diving wasn't her forte, and she was going to mostly rely on Gomamon on these matters, but she was pretty sure he had no idea how this mask thingy worked. She probably should have bothered to ask before she jumped underwater. So she just shook her head in denial.
"Huh? You're not talkin' so much right now! Are you shy around strangers, or something?" Gomamon asked, tilting his head, then shrugging it off with a smile. "Well, that's okay! I'll do all the talking then!"
The strange shark-like creature asked them to follow her and began swimming away. Miki wondered if it was a trap, but Gomamon spoke up first. "Oh, I'd love to see your home! Please, swim on!" And he started swimming off as well!
Welp... Miki supposed that all she had to do was hope that this wasn't a trap, then!

Levi couldn’t help but tilt her head ever more so. As confused thoughts swam around in her little shark brain. She had absolutely no idea what this ‘hu-mon’ was, that the little seal digimon continued to say.
After a moment, Levi opened her mouth as if to speak. But soon, closed her mouth again. Now wasn’t the time for talking. There was too high a chance of undersea sneak attacks, like the last time when she had been side-swiped by the tentacled rubber arm of a Gesomon.
Levi swam slowly on, allowing the pair to follow them. Soon enough, they had found their way to the stone wall which rose right up out of the water. The spiking tops protruding the surface, like stalactites.
Rainbows of coral grew from the nooks in the stone, looking far brighter than it should due to the darkened backdrop. Levi pointed one of her flat fins downward and urged herself down. The metal chain drifting behind her as she dropped.
“Entrance, here. Be the careful. Dangerous! Okay doke,” Levi explained, quickly. Nervous of something swooping out from the darkness.
With ease, Levi passed through the jagged plates of dark grey stone. Of course, she had done this, hundreds, perhaps thousands of times. For strangers, it may prove slightly more irksome. Behind the jagged stones lay a hole carved in the blackened rock face.
At this point, Levi turned to face the two who followed in her wake. “It through here. We almost is there.”
Beyond the hole lay a great and wide gully. A concealed refuge, hidden from view by a wall of stone and coral.
“Levi home!”
Levi swam forward into the center of the gully. A low light that drifted down from above. Through holes cut into the rock ceiling. Lighting up the area with just enough light to see.
Cut in the stone and coral were divots in the wall. These led into deep passages beyond. The vestiges of makeshift houses in between spiked coral, which grew over and around them.
Although in certain places. The once bright coral had turned gray or had eroded away. Deep cracks running right through it. Almost as if something had ripped right through it with a claw.
Levi paused now, they were safer. Her large yellow eyes looking from Gomamon to the ‘hu-mon’ named Miki, or as Levi assumed, ‘Mikimon’. Her head, once again, tilted to the side. As confusion rose up.
“Levi iz a confuse. What iz a 'Miki-mon'?” Levi said, her head still very much tilted to one side. “A new Digimon friend?”
She wondered out loud, pressing a fin to her chin as she did so.
“Levi curious to why new friends have come to the Sunken Elysium?”

Levi led the pair through the waters as Miki and Gomamon swam behind. Being perfectly honest, Miki couldn't see much around her, barely able to see the two Digimon ahead of her. But while Levi had the sense to stay quiet while out in the open, Gomamon had no such reservation.
"Hey, hey! What's life like in these parts of the waters?" The Gomamon would ask as they swam. "Do you have a lot of friends? I had a whole lot of friends growing up, even though there were some bigger Digimon that tried to eat me from time to time! But I'm sure we could have gotten along under the right circumstances!"
But Levi seemed intent on keeping a lookout for danger. It made Miki wonder what kind of creatures lurked in these waters. Sharks were among the most dangerous creatures in her world. And if a creature that seemed based like on of those creatures here in this world was acting so wary of danger... what kind of dangers were in this world? Gomamon didn't seem to ever be wary of any danger, so the dichotomy between the two aquatic Digimon was baffling to say the least.
But as Levi led them to her home, Gomamon chuckled as he swam around as he pleased. "Wow... I like it here! It's a really nice home!" He praised as Levi began to question Miki's entire species. But Gomamon let out a little laugh before shaking his head. "Miki's not a Digimon! She's a creature from another world! They're like Digimon from the mainland, but even farther away!"
Which... was sort of true?
But as to why they had come here? "Well... we've never been here before! There's no reason, really! Exploring is fun!" WC: 1535/1500 (Gonna stop counting now lol)

Levi swam forward, at a quickened pace. Still quite aware that anything could appear at any time and for any reason and attack them. Just like Gesomon had done last time.
Although, unsure what this ‘Mikimon’ and why it looked so oddly different to any Digimon that Levi had ever met. She still wanted to protect it.
Levi tilted her head, pensive in thought. “Levi like… it here. Levi ‘fink. Lots of friends? Only some. One gone.” She concluded sadly. But continued to nod as the Gomamon answered their own question.
“Levi never left safety of Sunken Elysium. Nuh safe,” she said simply.
Then, Levi’s head tilted even further as the little seal explained that exploring was fun. She had never done that. Never drew far enough away from her home to do that. Now more than ever, she needed to protect her home from predators.
“Big monster attacks!” She said as if in answer to his question, pointing at the damages to the little town. Parts of the coral that lined the wall had been violently slashed and ripped down. Now floating, sadly in the rising current or otherwise lay on the ground, in the sand and dirt to rot away. The small houses, which had been built from rotten and old driftwood hung from the stone wall. The makeshift houses looked sad and forlorn.
The largest and most damaged house which sat in the middle of the plateau, raised up on a platform, was the clear result of a great battle. A large hole caved through the main wall as well as through the wall. It looked as if a simple breeze might cause it to collapse. “Marine. Gone.” Levi said, choking up slightly on the words.
“Now Levi protect friends. Protecc town we mades togevur.” Her head fell, as she said the words.
She swam down and landed softly at the foot of the building. Sadly and silently, Levi swam forwards expecting to hear the voices of her friends. But no voices were heard.
“Levi backs! Levi safe! Where iz frens?” She said loudly.
“Levi friends… not here?” A worried expression crossed over the shark’s face.

As she began to tell her story and explain her situation, Gomamon listened and watched Levi like she were the most interesting Digimon in the world. Which to the sheltered aquatic Digimon, that may have been the case. Unlike Levi, Gomamon didn't have many friends in the waters, or a community like Levi had. It was mostly hanging out with his fishie buddies who sadly didn't provide much conversation, and avoiding the bigger Digimon that would likely eat him. Life in the waters was harsh for such a small Digimon, but Gomamon wasn't disheartened at all!
But Levi seemed concerned about her friends being missing. "What do you mean? We're right here!" Gomamon stated with a chuckle. But Miki swam over and placed her hand on the sea mammal's shoulder, then shook her head. Clearly Levi was referring to someone else. It took a moment for Gomamon to catch on, but he smiled and swam right next to the shaaaaaaark Digimon. He placed his fin gently on the Tridemon's back, and gave her a pat or two.
"It's okay, buddy! We're here, and we'll help you look for your friends! I may not look like it, but I happen to be the hide-and-seek champion of the Southern Tropics!" Technically, no one ever found him because he didn't have any real friends to play with him, but he figured he'd leave that little bit out for now. "And Miki's really smart, so she can help too, even if she can't swim all that good!"
Meanwhile, Miki crossed her arms in irritation. Well excuse her for not being a fish!
