The Terabyte Mountains. A large mountain in the Northern Prominence was where the Cutemon and Shoutmon twins known as Hiroshi and Leroy wandering around. Despite the harsh cold it seemed the two half dragons weren't bothered by the sharp biting wind which was handy considering their plans for today. The duo was carrying a set of skis up the mountain heading for the ski lift further up. The boys shared the love of skiing in common and were trembling with excitement and happiness as they walked along as if they couldn't contain their excitement.
"This is bound to be fun considering we had to deal with a GeoGreymon not long ago. We definitely need some fun for a change." Hiroshi said and it seemed his eagerness had seeped into the scaly Cutemon's voice.
Leroy smiled at his twin as if caught up in his brother's happiness and the furry Shoutmon was just as eager to reach the ski lift as his twin. "I hear ya, bro, though I wasn't against the idea of fighting that GeoGreymon despite getting my butt whooped in that fight. Though I wouldn't mind one day being able to armor digivolve like you can. Ginryumon was totally awesome to see."
Shifting his grip on the skis he was carrying, Hiroshi squinted his blue eyes and then said "Hey, Leroy. It looks like it won't be long before we reach the ski lift look."
Squinting his blue eyes in turn, Leroy's sight caught on to what his twin brother spotted before he swished his tail and said "You're right, Hiroshi. It looks like at the rate we're going we should be at the ski lift in the next few minutes. I can hardly wait."
Smiling the two adjusted the grip on the skis they borrowed earlier and started walking a little faster their eagerness now greater since the ski lift was now in sight. A few minutes later the boys made it to the ski lift and proceeded to board what seemed to be an automatic ski lift.
As the ski lift moved slowly up the mountain both Hiroshi and Leroy sat back enjoying the view of the trees below them. Something curious caught Leroy's attention as gradually their were fewer and fewer trees. Were those footprints? Sure enough Leroy squinted to get a better look and spotted what appeared to be fairly large footprints indeed. "Hey, Hiroshi, look below. Those footprints are definitely way to large to belong to any human."
Taking a look below as Leroy suggested, Hiroshi soon spotted the large footprints his twin noticed. "You're right, Leroy. It's probably not surprising their would be footprints for a large digimon up here since this is the Digital World. If luck is with us this digimon will hopefully not bother us but, just in case, we should keep our guards up will skiing."
"I'm with you on that, Hiroshi. As much as I enjoy a good battle, the last thing I want is for us to have our data absorbed while on vacation." Leroy said as he continued looking at the footprints until he lost sight of them but the thought of a large digimon wouldn't leave the furry Shoutmon's mind. At least Hiroshi could armor digivolve into Ginryumon if things got out of hand and, in a pinch, he could still help out too at least even if he got in trouble while battling.
Slowly but surely the twins arrived at the stop and the lift came to a slow stop. Upon the ski lift stopping the boys swiftly hopped down. Hiroshi and Leroy began getting the skis on the instant their feet hit the ground. Once the skis were on the boys grabbed the poles and used them to push off. The twins skied side by side gradually picking up speed and steered with talent indicating they were far from amateurs when it came to skiing. Swishing back and forth down the hills at high speed they soon found themselves shooting between trees and somehow avoiding being splattered on them as they slowed down for the sake of safety.
Soon they came to a stop as their bellies began to growl. Looking around soon Leroy spotted something in the tree tops and said "Hiroshi, look there are some meat apples up in the tree right next to us."
Hearing his twin's words, Hiroshi looked in the direction Leroy indicated seeing the apples in the tops of the trees. Though it would be quite the climb, Hiroshi removed the skis and stepped up to the tree. Swishing his scaly tail back and forth he began climbing the tree and as he got closer to the meat apples he used his tail to latch onto the branches for balance so he wouldn't fall and suffer from a potentially painful landing. Though not as effective as a monkey tail in clutching the branches it was good enough for the task at hand as he reached the branches. Clutching the first meat apple he looked down at Leroy and said "Leroy, heads up. Here comes some lunch."
One by one Hiroshi tossed each meat apple down towards Leroy with the furry Shoutmon catching each one by one as they rained down. Half a dozen meat apples later Hiroshi gradually began climbing down the tree safely reaching the ground. Meanwhile Leroy was gathering firewood and soon both of them were ready to cook the meat apples. Leroy soon had a campfire going while Hiroshi prepped the apples them soon cooking over the fire.
Soon the half dozen meat apples were cooked and the delicious smell of the food wafted through the trees. Sitting down the brothers began eating and a short time later all six meat apples had been eagerly devoured. Both brothers were sitting and rubbing their full stomachs contentedly before using the snow to dowse the fire moments later.
Soon a sudden sound in the woods caused Hiroshi to jerk his head up with his ears wiggling. "What is it, Hiroshi? Is something the matter?"
Scratching the short red mohawk that was on his head between his ears as he stood up swiftly before he said "Yeah you could say that. There's someone out there and I don't know the intention of the stranger so I think we should grab the skis and get our butts outta here."
Surprisingly Leroy didn't say anything as he did as Hiroshi suggested and soon both brothers had picked up the skis and poles. Then the two of them turned in the direction opposite of the footfalls Hiroshi was hearing and, with his ears still wiggling, the twins made a break for it.
The twins were now hauling it at impressive walking speed for a pair of rookie digimon soon creeping their way out of the forest. The two of them were going so fast that they didn't have time to avoid snow covering a pit which, unfortunately, Leroy had the misfortune of sinking like a brick with little more than a shocked yell. "Leroy!" was all Hiroshi was able to yell out as he peered down into the pit his twin had suddenly disappeared down.
Before he could say anything more a growl was heard causing Hiroshi to turn in the direction of the growl where something white as the snow came his way fast. Taking a good look he saw it was nothing other than a Mojyamon but, in this case, it was bigger than the average Mojyamon and it was swinging its bone club at Hiroshi aggressively. With an annoyed sigh and realizing he had to defend himself, Hiroshi said "Digi Armor Energize!" Hiroshi's body began to glow with the light of digivolution as his digimental's power came alive. "Cutemon armor digivolve to... Ginryumon the Sword of Patience." Seeing as he would have to find Leroy later, Hiroshi stared down the large Mojyamon and braced himself for the attack he knew would soon come.
Meanwhile with Leroy...
Down below Hiroshi and Mojyamon, Leroy was unaware of the trouble his twin had found. Looking around he realized he had landed in some damp cavern with the hole he fell through easily visible above him. Seeing as the hole was not accessible he sat himself up and began walking through the cavern dripping water from the stalactites was the only sound he heard.
After walking for what felt like forever though in reality it was likely no more than a few minutes tops but to a impatient battle happy furry dragon it didn't make him feel any better. Walking through the cavernous maze some time later something caught his eye shortly later. What looked like a pink digimental with ribbon like ears caught his attention. Curiosity pulling him, Leroy walked over to the digimental and reached out grabbing it. After a gentle tug the curious egg lifted up easily.
Looking at it his attention was attracted by loud crashes which rattled the cavern. Deciding here was no longer ideal he turned and made a run for it down one of the random tunnels and hoping for the best. Unknown to Leroy, Hiroshi was battling the Mojyamon with his sword tail clashing with the furry digimon's boomerang shaped bone weapon. As the weapons met each other the two created crashing noises and sometimes snow exploded out and upwards during the battle. Unknown to the battlers and Leroy the fighting blew a hole in the snow that opened up the cavern.
Meanwhile in the cavern and following the explosions, Leroy held the pink digimental close to him since it was obvious he was meant to wield its power. After another explosion some snow tumbled down toward Leroy causing an opening to be available to the furry Shoutmon. Not wasting time, Leroy moved his way out of the cavern despite carrying both a microphone and the digimental making things a bit trickier. After climbing out into the sunlight Leroy caught sight of Hiroshi and a larger than average Mojyamon battling it out head to head. "Looks like Hiroshi has found trouble during the brief time we were separated from each other. Time to see what this digimental is capable of then. Digi Armor Energize!" As his body became engulfed by the light of digivolution his body shook with excitement from his eagerness to battle. "Shoutmon armor digivolve to....Rabbitmon the Rabbit of Impulsiveness."
The glow ceased revealing Leroy's new form and the hothead was sure surprised at his new form. "No way. I can't believe this. I'm a cute little rabbit. The universe has a strange sense of humor to flip the script on my brother and I like this." Hiroshi's pained cry interrupted Leroy's complaints as Mojyamon sent Hiroshi hurtling into the ground with the swing of its bone causing Hiroshi to revert back into Cutemon as he lay in the snow in a dazed state.
Before Mojyamon could move to finish Hiroshi a roar sounded and the white furry digimon saw it was coming from a source he didn't expect. A Rabbitmon. "Going after my brother was a big mistake fluffball. Carrot Bomber!" From Leroy what appeared to be carrots came flying at Mojyamon but before Mojyamon could react the carrots exploded on contact with its body and scorched its furry body. With a roar and a direct charge that could be considered reckless, Leroy leapt head on towards Mojyamon whipping his ears forward. "Ear Lancer!" Leroy yelled his ears being wielded like swords as he struck Mojyamon several times.
How Mojyamon was still standing was unknown but it didn't matter to Leroy as he was ready to attack again. Fortunately it was not necessary as Mojyamon somehow used the last of its strength to run for its life. Problem solved Leroy reverted back to Shoutmon and headed to Hiroshi's body with his paws glowing. "Healing Glow." he said as he ran his palms over Hiroshi's injuries and his twin gradually regained consciousness.
"Wha?" Hiroshi moaned as he slowly sat up only for Leroy to place a paw on his shoulder and ease him back into a laying position.
"Rest, Hiroshi. You need it after that battle." Leroy said and then he filled Hiroshi in on what he missed.
Later the duo decided to stay the night in the cavern Leroy found the digimental so they could rest. The next day they would return the borrowed skis and make their way to the Human World.
