Following on from Levi’s unusual visit to the casino. The little shark continued her adventure across the Southern Tropics. Thankfully, due to her abilities as a shark, she was able to skip all of that nonsense that non-aquatic digimon had to go through. To hire one of those big crafts that crossed the waters or otherwise to catch a ride with someone else.
To Levi, there was nothing quite as fun as to swim under her own steam as fast or as slow as she wanted. Atop the water or below the depths. The world literally was her oyster. In the sense that she could now travel, do and visit wherever or whatever she so wished. This sense of freedom was both freeing but also quite scary for the little shark. In the short time that she had been traveling alone, she had met quite a few odd things already. Including the massive casino on the beach front that was guarded by the little bunny rabbit of science in the lab coat.
Today, she found herself at a local tourist location. At least for most of the digimon who visited the Binary Archipelago at any rate. A chain of islands that centralized around a very large middle island, that was more mountainous than the rest. Levi shot forward, slightly interested in this odd location. With a great pounce, she launched herself out of the water and onto the soft, sandy beach that led onto one of the outermost island.
Clearly her sight and sudden appearance had caused a little bit of shock in some of the ‘beach-going guests’. A surprised and disgruntled looking Goblimon dropped his club onto the foot of a nearby and brightly colored Muchomon who squawked loudly in surprise.
Levi not understanding this merely looked comically on. Her eyes wide with amassing confused. Her head tilted a little to one side.
“Yoooooooo! Hey, you. Hey! Heeeey!”
Levi blinked several times, her head naturally falling to the left as she turned to greet the slightly unusual but enthusiastic greeting. Levi blinked several more times as she took in the odd appearance of this particular digimon. The body was of a cactus, except it was topped with a large sombrero. A long tongue stuck out and moved from side to side as it, in turn, took in Levi.
Levi opened her mouth to say something but the cactus digimon overrode her.
“Yo! Yo! Yo! You must be the–”
The Ponchomon paused mid-word and reached up to the sombrero that sat jauntily upon the head. Two maracas dropped into the digimon’s hands and it began to shake them with great enthusiasm.
“ –my next touuuuuuur guest! W E L C O M E!”
The Ponchomon continued to shake his maracas and danced around Levi, Goblimon and the Muchomon with great exuberance.
“Are we all gathered and ready to go?! Is there anyone elsssssssssse! Who wants to join in on the GREAT-AND- WONDERFUL-AMIGO-AND-AMIGA-TOUR hosted by me, Ponchomon! Of course!”
"Levi iz a confuse"
The tiny shark muttered. Unsure if it was hear by anyone over the great racket cast by the cactus ghost's maracas and shouts.

It had been some time since Faustein's latest adventure and that was one in which he had to join forces with a fellow NEXUS member called Ryuji and his partner Calumon called Yoshihiro as well as another young man called Dante and his Wormmon partner to stop a rampaging mad scientist and his robots from wrecking a mall in Shibuya in the human world. Since then, Faustein had gotten back to the daily grind of his profession as a practicing physician-scientist and also to the indulgence of his obsession with his ongoing and ever-burgeoning mad science research. Apart from that, there were the now frequent summons he had been receiving from his grandparents due to the fact that he had brokered a high stakes business deal some time back with another one of the richest and most influential families in Japan, namely the Alanis family. So, naturally, he had been looking forward to his upcoming trip to the Digital World wherein he was free to unleash his mad physician-scientist side and its cravings to his heart's content as that always seemed to bring him much needed relaxation. That was why he was at a certain beach in a certain locale known as Binary Archipelago as it was apparently a rather popular tourist destination, especially for the various denizens of the Digital World. His goal, of course, was to hopefully meet and at least a few different species of aquatic digimon and rope them into "assisting" with his research. To that end, he had decided to travel there via the usual Digi-Port method as it was the fastest and most private known to him by using his usual command phrase "Digi-Port, open. Destination: Southern Tropics - Binary Archipelago." With that, the Digi-Port was activated leading to the formation of a portal which Faustein then tugged on in order to open completely. Inside was the usual black, fluid void and so, Faustein stepped inside and waited patiently as the proximal end of the portal closed in the human world and then walked through to the other end and upon reaching it, he tugged on the portal's rim again, which dropped him off at his destination, aka the Binary Archipelago area in the Southern Tropics region of the Digital World. Little did he know that this research expedition would turn into quite the harrowing ordeal again for him before too long, as per his usual pattern of ill luck and misfortune. That was why, as he stepped out onto said beach, he muttered to himself O ye Norns, I humbly beseech thee, let not any misfortune befall me...After offering that usual theatrical gesture of a prayer to the Norse goddesses of fate, fortune, and time; Faustein closed the Digi-Port completely and headed over to the nearby changing area to change into his swim trunks and also to activate a couple of the equipment pieces he had on his person. Specifically, he activated his EV Suit which would be needed to guard him against the elemental pressures in the area and then he went on to equip his Mini Diving Kit which materialized the usual personal snorkeling and diving gear for his use. Then, he stepped out into the public eye once more after having folded his usual physician-scientist attire away into his large frame military backpack which he had left with the beach staff for a small fee. Once outside, he took a few moments to enjoy the feel of the breeze through his blue gray hair and looked about, his amber colored eyes garnering some curious and unnerved looks from the nearby people, again as per usual. Finally, there was his ultra-pale, almost sallow complexion which made him stick out like a sore thumb when compared to all the rest of the tanned folks milling about whilst enjoying their day at the beach. Now then, where should my search begin? He mused silently as he gazed about, taking in the details all around him until finally, he heard the shouts of an unfamiliar digimon. So, he analyzed it with his Improved Scannerand in short order, found out that it was one called Ponchomon. The one in question was inviting guests to join its tour group and so, he figured that would be the simplest method to employ in order to clear his objectives in this situation. With that in mind, he hurried on over to the Ponchomon and joined the group as well with the opening remark "Hold on, you forgot one!! I was supposed to be part of this group too, but somehow I got lost and could not find my way amidst the crowd here. My apologies for that, but now please feel free to start whenever you and the group are ready."Having said that, he hoped it would be enough to convince the cactus ghost digimon to allow him to tag along and fell silent, wondering what would happen next. Levi eyes followed the sound of the voice. Her head tilting as she took heed of the figure running towards the group. It was one of those weird… ‘non-digimon’ creatures. Like what she had met at the casino. Her eyes fixed on the oddness of the scene but soon turned her head back as to not appear rude. The Muchomon wasn’t paying attention and the Goblimon was looking down at his own feet. Only Levi seemed to find the true oddness of the scene.
“Hewoo? I iz a Levi,” she said, turning to face the stranger. Her eyes wide with mixed interest and unnerve.
"Levi iz a confuse."
Before Levi could say a another word, Ponchomon spoke. Now over his slight confusion caused by the late newcomer, Ponchomon paused. But the ghost cactus soon regained his former composure and overwhelming excitement.
“Yo yo yo! All right, so that makes… four. One grumpy-looking goblin...” The Ponchomon pointed his maracas at the Goblimon who frowned and banged his club against his hand in a threatening manner. Ponchomon continued quickly.
“A fruity-tooty bird...” Pointing the red maraca at the Muchomon who was pluming his feathers and still not paying much attention to the proceedings.
“A confused fish...” Twisting his body so the maraca now pointed at Levi. Levi tilted her head in response and looked blankly back.
“and finally…” He said concluding, by throwing the maracas into the air and catching them deftly. “A tardy fleshling. Very good, oh yeah. Now we are all present and accounted fo–“
The cactus ghost was cut off once again. This time by a bossy sounding voice which seemed to be approaching through the trees.
“I do the counting around here. Don’t you forget it.”
The trees seemed to bend and move aside as a large digimon pushed through the trunks, scattering leaves across the newly-created path. Levi’s eyes opened wide once again, as she fixed on this second most odd sight.
“Surface Digimon, odd,” Levi concluded in an undertone.
This new Digimon was dog-like from the body up. But atop the head, like a helmet, seemed to be something akin to a steam engine from a Trailmon. This only made Levi tilt her head even more to one side. The Komondomon skidded to a halt just before the odd group. It lowered its body down to the ground.
From the back of this creature, a second Digimon fell. This one much smaller. Robotic in appearance. Although to Levi, it appeared to be nothing more than a oversized tin can. The domed head of the creature glistened in the bright sun as did his metallic shell body.
“Oh, Master Datamon. You’re gonna join us. That’s very cool,” Ponchomon said, pointing his maraca at the little robot instead. “Yo Yo Yo! Everyone listen up! This is Data–“
“I can introduce myself. You loudmouth.”
Ponchomon immediately fell silent and bowed his head, obediently.
“I am Datamon. The wisest Digimon for several miles and perhaps more. I haven’t checked. But still, I shall be guiding you on this tour across the Binary Archipelago. I know that each and every one of you is ready for a myriad of interesting facts about these islands and perhaps, if there is time, even myself. Oh...but their must be.” The final words seemed to be placed towards itself.
“Yo, yo, yo! All aboard then. You heard the boss-man!” Ponchomon pointed his maracas at the very strange dog train thing.
“Please keep your arms and legs inside the Komondomon at all times, and keep all body parts you wish to keep A W A Y from the mouth area."

Upon joining in the line with the rest of the tour group, Faustein had heard the little female sounding shark digimon standing before him express her confusion in rather inarticulate terms and with what could only be called worry and nervousness evident on her face. Naturally, he could not just leave well enough alone, and so he had knelt down till he was at eye level with the chibimon after which he had reached out and patted her on the head gently while remarking with his usual smug, arrogant smirk playing upon his cyanotic, thin lips
"There, there...no need to look so worried, no one here will hurt you and neither will I for that matter. You may call me Stein or Faust, whichever comes easier to you. It's a pleasure to meet you, Levi."
He had said while still continuing to pet the little female shark digimon called Levi on the head as if she were some adorable little critter. At that point, there was a giant dog digimon that came onto the scene and a familiar shape, namely a Datamon though not the one he was familiar with at NEXUS, had dropped down onto the beach and had begun to take control. So, Faustein arose and listened to what the alleged overseer of the tour guide Ponchomon had to say to the tour group. After the customary greeting and instructions to keep their hands and feet inside the ride at all times, the Ponchomon and the Datamon had urged the group to start boarding onto the back of the giant dog vehicle like digimon which he now knew to be called a Komondomon.
So, Faustein waited until all the rest were onboard and then picked up Levi the diminutive female shark digimon effortlessly after which, he activated his Anti-Grav Device surreptitiously which allowed him with Levi in tow to float up into the air. At about 15 feet high up in mid air, they stopped, stabilized, and then boarded the Komondomon. After setting Levi down on an empty seat, Faustein climbed into one right beside her and then settled in, with his keen amber yellow eyes twinkling with mirth from the great amusement he got from seeing the surprised reactions of the rest of the tour group.

Slowly the line began to move as the few passengers began to board the strange dog-shaped digimon train. First the Goblimon who was still swinging his club over his head in a circle whilst muttering darkly under his breath. The Muchomon followed, just behind in a dreamy fashion, her puffed up feathers arranged more like a scarf.
Levi, however, didn’t move. Her head still tilted slightly to one side as she confessed to her confusion. She opened her mouth once again, as if to say something but was cut off by the voice of a kind man, or so it seemed to Levi who failed to note the smirk playing around his face. He reached over and gently patted the shark on the top of her head. Levi blinked several times more. Rather confused by this. She opened her mouth as if to say something but closed it again.
The little shark blinked twice as she took in his appearance, even more so than previous. His lank grey hair which fell down over sharp yellow eyes. After a moment, Levi opened her mouth once again, revealing a row of sharp white teeth.
“Fawst-friend! Okay doke?”
Levi held up her flipper-like hand for her new friend, albeit stranger to shake if he so wished it. She had not quite understood most of what he had said or meant but it sounded friendly enough and this put the little shark at ease.
Behind them, the arrogant Datamon boarded the Komondomon. He stood ahead of everyone else at the very front which is to say, by the creatures head.
“Now, now. We must get started. We can’t just dilly dally all day, now. Can we?”
Ponchomon floated over to the pair, and whispered.
“You better get on, OH YEAH! Datamon has a short fuse. Explosive, man… oh yeah!”
With this said, he too floated away and up onto the Komondomon. Taking his position, next to the Datamon who was now glaring over the side at the pair.
“Levi fink, we s–“
Once again, her words were cut short as Faust lifted up the little shark and held her in his arms. Levi merely blinked, slightly confused by the proceeding. Her head slightly tilted. So much so, that she failed to notice that Faust had activated an odd device.
Faust with Levi in tow, flew several feet into the air. Her little eyes goggling as she flew up higher than she had ever been in her entire life.
“Woaaaaah!” Levi muttered, as they moved to 15 feet up before falling back to the ground with gentle ease.
The rest of the group goggled, mouth open as the pair fell into the remaining empty seats. Well, except for Muchomon who was paying far more attention to his reflection, cast by the metallic body of this most odd vehicle digimon.
“WOAH! Such style man! WOW!” Ponchomon said, shaking his maracas wildly.
Datamon looked far less impressed and merely coughed, roboticly. “Can we continue now?”
Levi tilted her head, once again. Her head turning to look up at her new friend. She opened her mouth and pressed a fin against it as she found the right words.
“Fawst-friend, magic? Fawst friend, fly magic!” Which to the little shark was how it appeared.
Datamon coughed again, louder, quickly ending the babble of the guests and Ponchomon, who fell silent immediately.
“Now. We shall begin. Onward! To Discovery!” He clapped his metal hands together and the Komondomon moved at once.
They moved more slowly than the first appearance of the dog-shaped train. But, fast enough that soon they had reached the path, carved between the trees.
“Ah yes. Finally. Ahem, I am Datamon and I shall be your guide today! I am, of course, very wise and know much about this most amazing archipelago. The Binary Archipelago has been here for hundreds of years or so they say. It was first created by...”
The robot’s voice droned on for some time as they continued down a path the Komondomon clearly knew very well. Levi head tilted as she failed to take in anything that the robot was saying. Although, most of what it spoke was either well known, obvious or about itself.

Faustein had chuckled as he had witnessed Levi the chibi female shark digimon's reaction and her child-like manner of speaking, but when she extended her flipper in what seemed like a handshake, he had taken it and given her a handshake...or a flipper shake, rather. After that had come his little stunt wherein he had scooped up Levi into his arms and ascended into the air up to 15 feet high with his Anti-Grav Device before coming to land on the platform set atop the Komondomon. Naturally, he had ignored the Datamon when it had chided the both of them. Instead, he did a rather theatrical bow and flourish towards the appreciative crowd of onlookers in the crowd before taking his seat next to Levi.
"Yes, that is correct. Fawst friend magic, so Fawst friend fly easily anytime. Did you enjoy it, Levi?"
He would have continued, but then the insufferable Datamon had started to interrupt them again by trying to refocus the crowd's attention onto itself. So, Faustein had no choice but to comply if for no other reason than to avoid any more nagging from the machine digimon. Thus, he looked over at Levi and then head-petted her again while whispering to her softly so their tour guides could not hear them
Let's talk later, okay Levi? Otherwise, the Datamon will get angry at us again.
With that, Faustein straightened up in his seat again and addressed the Datamon with a polite ear to ear smile on his thin, cyanotic lips
"Ah, my apologies for my boorish decorum. Please, do continue, for your narrative is MOST enthralling, sir."
Faustein said in a completely even tone with no obvious hint of malice or sarcasm, even though he was not actually being sincere in his apology to their tour guides. Then, he fell silent and began to take in both the scenery with his roving, keen amber yellow eyes and the Datamon's tour guide's narrative about the various sights and sounds that were meeting and then passing them by in turn.
