The warm sun beating down on the sandy beach, waves lapping at the shore, and plenty of beachgoers milling about; these certainly were the beaches of Whitewater City, to say the least - and even during the colder months, it was still seeing plenty of tourists and visitors. Among those visitors though, would be a couple of odd ones; a pair of Strabimon twins who would be running along the beach without a care in the world, sharing some light laughter between the both of them.
"It's so warm and bright here!" Ettie would be the first to speak, a pair of tinted goggles over her sensitive eyes to protect them from the aforementioned sunlight. Wideeyed as ever, she was staring at their surroundings with a mix of awe and glee; her tail wagging wildly, like a pup who had discovered a brand new toy. "And there's so many people; and such big buildings! So many new smells and sounds and sights!"
"Yeah, for sure." Anne agreed with a nod, her previous jovial mood quickly turning hard and sharp as she glared down a Aegiomon who wandered just a little too close to the duo. "... Too many people, though." She'd add in a rougher tone, sidling back in alongside Ettie as her ears flicked back with a sense of uncertainty. "Are you sure we should be here?"
"It'll be fiiiine!" Ettie responded in turn, smiling to her sister with a wag of her tail. Even with the icy reception that Anne was giving everyone in the vicinity, the whitefurred Strabimon was as friendly as ever to everyone she passed! "Everyone here seems pretty nice! Don't you wanna find someone to play with?"
"... I'd rather a packmate to play with, than a stranger." Anne would sigh; though nonetheless, would accept the hand that Ettie extended in her direction, as the two continued moving along. Though Ettie was clearly having a blast at exploring this new place, and in meeting all these new people... Anne, on the other hand, couldn't help but find this all slightly dangerous - as silly as it may be for a civilized digimon to see any danger in just wandering along the beach like this.
Feral and Tribal digimon were predictable, though; and they were easy for Anne to understand in their mannerisms and motives. Civilized digimon, however, were far more unpredictable and difficult to understand - and for someone who grew up with a more wild upbringing, unpredictability was dangerous.
Ettie, however, was the opposite to Anne in this regard. She wanted to understand the civilized side of the Digital World! She wanted to explore these cities and towns - where it was a strange and almost sterile forest of buildings - and see just what all she'd been missing, in growing up in the wild like she and Anne did!
Anne, however, was willing (even if only reluctantly) to defer to Ettie in this regard; simply figuring that if danger did arrive, that she would act however necessary to keep her sister safe.
But as the two sisters strolled and played together on the beach, Ettie mingling with whoever she could run into, who else would they meet - who would be a potential new friend for them?

As Levi’s impromptu tour of the Southern Tropics continued; the little shark found herself in somewhere, so different from the norm. That she was literally and figuratively a shark out of water.
On every side, tall skyscrapers surrounded her. Boxes upon boxes, as tall as city itself. Almost touching the very sky. Or at least, it appeared to the diminutive shark. Intersected and boxed into sections by the busy stretches of sidewalk.
Each of these was flooded, not by water, but by the footfalls of hundreds or maybe even thousands of Digimon of all shapes and sizes. Some rushing from one side of the town to the other. Others, conversing together in small groups.
Unsure what to do, Levi followed the lead of everyone else. She stood behind a group of Digimon at the edge of a road. Something between a train and a dog zoomed on by, panting slightly as it hauled a cargo of excited-looking Digimon.
The little shark was unsure if she really liked this… ‘metal world’. It fell all kinds of wrong. It was going to take a lot of getting used to, that was for sure. And she still had no idea where or what she was doing.
She continued to follow the crowd. Levi’s flat feet slapped against the ground as she wandered forward as she waddled from side to side. So short that other Digimon missed her completely and she was in imminent danger of getting stepped on. So dazed and confused was she that Levi wasn’t paying attention to where she was going.
BAM! She crashed head first into something hard and fell backwards so she was sprawled flat on the hot asphalt. Looking up, she crossed eyes with a humanoid gun with a cowboy hat. Whom, she had crashed right into.
“Oh my, what-do-we-have-here, then.” The Deputymon held out his hand and raised Levi back to her feet. “I say, I dun’ have, never seen such a little digimon in all ma’ days.”
Levi tilted her head, confused. “Levi no get...”
The Deputymon looked at her for a second, tilting his own head as he did so. “You seem like a lil’ fish outta water there. But I say, I know where that would be.”
Levi tilted her head even further, until her neck was in danger of snapping. The little shark blinked softly, her large yellow eyes full of confusion.
“I see, I say. Now, I know where you need to go. You see.” The Deputymon pointed, this time with the barrel of his gun body.
“Itta be thatta’ way. You see, the beach! That is what you are lookin’. Isn’t it?”
Levi nodded. Not understanding but happier to agree than to argue. The little shark pressed a tiny flipper to her mouth and then looked in the direction that he pointed.
“Just folla’ the road down as far as ya’ can go. Understan’?”
Levi nodded again. With this said, he tipped his hand and moved away. Soon disappearing into the thick crowd of Digimon.
Unsure what to do, if to follow the advice or to not. She stood confused in the middle of the street and almost caused a pile up of bodies. Without further delay, the little shark plodded down the street in the direction, she had been pointed. Ever so kindly.
The road soon began to descend, lower and lower. Until it was almost diagonal. Levi plodded forward, still unsure. A familiar and almost welcoming smell of salt and sea breeze caught the little sharks nose. Over the horizon of road lay a stretch of sand and beyond that a larger and most brilliant blue stretch of water.
Levi picked up the pace. Now, at the edge of the sand. A sense of home and familiarity crossed over her. It was almost like that time that she had emerged onto a beach when she visited the casino. Either way, she was excited.

Playing on the beach - in Ettie's opinion - was an utter blast! She enjoyed splashing about in the shallows and waves of the water with Anne, and whoever was willing enough to humor her hyperactive playfulness - tumbling about, playwrestling, and giggling, even as her fur got soaked. Anne, too, couldn't help but admit that she was enjoying playing about like this; at least when it was just the two of them, as opposed to when Ettie would occasionally pull another stranger into their antics.
The smell of the ocean was something new, the feel of the warm sand was new; but they were exciting for that very reason.
Before long though, the duo's goofing around would bring Ettie's attention towards yet another nearby stranger; a sharklike digimon, who was standing about at the water's edge. "Oooh, wonder who that is!" Ettie would chirp, her tail wagging as she glanced back to Anne. "Come on, Anne; Let's go say hi!" She wasn't sure what kind of digimon that was; she was used to digimon who were more native to the Eastern Timberlands, afterall! But that was no reason to not say hi or play with them, right?
"I don't think Homeostasis could stop you from saying hi, if they wanted to." Anne would sigh in response - though despite the hint of grousing, the blackfurred sister would nonetheless smile in a exasperated yet fond fashion, as she followed after Ettie. "Don't run too far ahead!" As long as this stranger wasn't hostile, she supposed that she could tolerate Ettie trying to drag yet another random digimon into her games and antics...
As the duo approached the Tridemon though, Ettie wasted no time in making a good first impression; immediately going into a play bow - much like a playful puppy would - with her tail wagging wildly! "Hello there!" She'd yip to the shark digimon. "Do you wanna play? There's so much open space to run and playwrestle and chase in!"
Anne would - meanwhile - remain silent as she stared the Tridemon down; simply remaining vigilant at Ettie's side, just to make sure things wouldn't go pear-shaped in any regard.

A familiar sight at last! Water! Well, surrounded by a beach. But still, it was as close to familiar as Levi could get without actually diving in and swimming back to her home.
Not to mention, she liked this more than the big town that she had been in earlier, by a long shot. But that wasn’t too difficult in the eyes of the tiny and easily confused shark.
With duck-footed feet plodding, she jumped from the upper railing, down and landed softly into the sand below. For a moment, she danced up and down on the sand. Enjoying the feeling compared to the hard concrete world above. Levi stepped forward, taking larger and larger steps into the sand, as if she was exploring some uncharted moon for the first time.
She was finally beginning to enjoy herself. So much so, she failed to notice or realize there was anyone else on the beach with her. Levi continued forward, slowly heading back to the water. Her eyes wide and full of excitement.
“Levi home! Levi home!” Levi said more to herself than to anyone who may or may not be around her. Pure enthusiasm at being able to return to the depths of the water after so long.
Then the little shark jumped, literally. Taken by surprise, she jumped, out of the sand and into the air and fell backwards onto her butt. “Levi very confuzed!”
It wasn’t until she looked up that she caught sight of a pair of digimon looking down on her. One right near her and the other a short distance away.
One of them was yammering away very quickly and excitedly. Taken by surprise, Levi blinked several times in confusion. Her head tilted to one side as she considered this odd scene. The little shark opened her mouth and then closed it again.
After a moment of stunned confusion, she replied, “Levi not sure who iz? Me iz a Levi!”
“New fren? Play with Levi?”

As the Tridemon jumped in surprise, Ettie and Anne both would jump a bit as well - mutually startled by the sudden motion that the shark rookie would make - albeit their jump was less literal than Levi's own. The two Strabimon would blink a bit owlishly as they processed what just happened - although of the two, Ettie would be the first to speak up; tilting her head as she asked Levi "Are you okay?" Falling on your butt wasn't pleasant, typically - and when you had a tail like the two of them did, you'd sometimes end up landing on your tail funny, which was even less pleasant!
As the two sisters looked Levi over though, and watched her behavior, something would quickly become plenty apparent to the two of them. Namely, the fact that this Levi was very different from the civilized digimon who lived around here in Whitewater; seeming to be more closer to the wild and tribal digimon that Ettie and Anne were both familiar with, from their birthpack! This notion helped Anne relax a bit in the presence of this stranger - and Ettie couldn't help an eager wag of her tail, at being reminded of home in this way.
Thus, when Levi mentioned that she wasn't sure who either of them were, Ettie was more than happy to speak up. "Oh; my name's Ettie!" She would introduce herself, before gesturing to indicate Anne as she added "And this is my sister, Anne!" Upon being indicated, Anne would nod and smile gently - waving a hand, and greeting Levi with a simple "Hello,"
With introductions out of the way though, Ettie would giggle - her tail wagging eagerly - as she continued "It's nice to meet you, Levi! I've never seen a digimon like you before!"
(Granted, given that the two sisters had grown up mostly in the Eastern Timberlands before parting from their pack, most oceanic digimon would be unfamiliar to them!)
As far as the questions of 'new fren' and 'play with Levi' went, though... Ettie was more than happy to accept both! "Yeah, we can be friends!" She'd respond, with zero hesitation - "And I'd love to play! Lots and lots! Right, Anne?" Playing was fun, after all - and she wanted to make sure Anne could get in on the antics, too!
As Ettie looked in Anne's direction, the sister in question would briefly peer at the way Ettie's tail was wagging a mile a minute, before sighing in a fond and goodnatured fashion. "Yeah, sure, we can play," She'd respond; figuring that Levi seemed pretty harmless. "What are we gonna play?"
