For how much her family members were lauded around here, Omen found it odd that she never visited the place much. The place was a city now, and she had her reservations on cities like usual. Luminas was barely tolerable since it was a HOLY city.
Churchgoing Digimon tend to be quiet, after all. What changed that? What exactly PROMPTED today? Welllll, after her mom's friend (why did Mae befriend clams...?) touted that this year's Great Shipfest (Now Calamity-proof!) would have platonic options, Omen had figured it'd be a good idea to ask for parental permission to sign up. Because she wanted to meet people.
Why do you need my permission for that...? It's only a platonic date.
Because what if I end up meeting weird people? What if I end up accidentally meeting that cat that simped for you?
...That's an impossibility, thankfully. But, you realize you're not a baby, right? You're growing every day...
That was only part of the conversation, but ultimately Omen found that she was her own person. She could make her own decisions, according to her mom! So she was gonna do just that. She had sent a message to her date(s?) stating that she'd be awaiting at the Trailmon stop. Mae had given some amount of advice but not all of it really bounced off of Omen, so...She was waiting there. On a bench. With a basket full of a lot of snacks. Was most of it junk food? Maybe. The Wispmon wasn't wearing her usual cloak too, woeful as it was to part with it for a bit. Instead, it was a cloak that matched Mae's own.
White and gold. An odd color for a Wispmon, but one she found she vibed with well enough.

Ettie, to say the least, had no clue what a date was. Anne's understanding of a date were pretty vague, too, for that matter. All the two understood was that Ettie and Anne were going to be paired up with someone at random to spend time with - and that Ettie was hoping that this would be a new friend to play with! Someone who she could run and playwrestle and howl with! The meeting spot was in a city called Rosewood - though while it was indeed large enough to be called a city, it was far less industrial than the other cities of the Digital World; something that brought comfort to the two twins.
Though the buildings were strange, and the scents of the other digimon here were unfamiliar, this place still very much smelled like home - or to be more exact, the wilds that their original pack would wander. It was comforting, it was familiar, it was safe.
Thus, Anne couldn't help but find herself at least a little more lax than usual, as the duo made their way through the streets - glancing about at their surroundings as they made their way towards the Trailmon stop. Admittedly, they had gotten a little lost along the way - but it didn't take long for the duo to figure out which way they were supposed to go. "Just over here, I think?" Ettie would murmur to Anne, her ears perked and tail wagging eagerly. "Look; that's a Trailmon, right there, right?"
"... Think so," Anne responded in turn, nodding in briefly. It was a large digimon, larger than they were - and the building that it was departing from appeared to be the stop. So they were looking for a foxlike digimon with a long armlike tail, and... "... Is that them?"
Ettie's gaze would follow Anne's gesture towards a Wispmon that was sitting on a bench - a basket full of food with them. Oh! That must be her! Tail beginning to wag even harder, Ettie wasted no time in grabbing Anne's hand - "I think it is! C'mon; let's go say hi!!" - and bounding on over up to Omen!
"S-slow down!" is all that Anne would have to say, nearly stumbling in trying to keep up with the comparatively faster Strabimon.
As the two Strabimon began to near the Wispmon proper, Ettie's body language read that of a hyperactive puppy; her ears perked, tail wagging, and eyes lit up with joy. Anne, meanwhile had a more passive body language; giving Omen a bit of a look, due to her natural wariness of strangers - but otherwise looking rather neutral. "Hello! Hi!" Ettie would chirp to Omen, grinning brightly. "Are you Omen? My name's Ettie - and this is Anne!"
Post by Omen, Chaddest of Chads on Feb 14, 2021 17:10:13 GMT
Given the actual rarity Wispmon seemed to hold within the Digital World, it was safe to say that Omen was THE Wispmon they were looking for. The critter stayed seated at her spot on the bench, kicking her feet too and fro.
She thought back to all the advice she had been given a final time, before the sound of someone bounding right up to her snapped Omen right back to reality. A Strabimon, one full of energy, and a much more passive one had walked up to her. These must be the people she had been paired with by the infernal clam.
The thing with Omen was her body language was just entirely passive. She had no arms. She could barely make expressions with her face at this stage. But none of that seemed to hinder her. She hopped down from the bench and stared up at the Strabimon. "Yes! That's me." The Wispmon stated, a smile on her face. "Ettie and Anne." The Wispmon repeated, in an approximation of their voices, committing those names to memory. "You areeee...Strabimon, right? I have an aunt that's one. You're waayyyy different than she is, though." She nodnodded. Anne reminded her the most of Jill, though.
...At least, what Mae told her of Jill.
Her tail swooped up to grab the basket and bring it down, holding it out for the doggos if they wanted anything! "I brought snacks if you want any--is there anywhere you wanna go first? Rosewood's a big place and I think we have all day, too!"
Post by Ettie and Anne on Feb 15, 2021 6:31:58 GMT
As Omen mimicked the duo's voices, the two sisters would tilt their heads a bit curiously; Anne's brows raising a bit. They'd never seen a digimon who was able to mimic one's voice like that, and so it was safe to say that both Strabimon were intrigued. As Omen asked about the two of them being Strabimon though, Ettie's ears perked, and her tail wagged. "Yep! We're Strabimon - and we're sisters!"
"Twin sisters," Anne supplied, nodding in confirmation. Born from the same egg, and raised together their whole life; the two of them were inseparable.
The offer of snacks, however, would have the two Strabimon immediately curious; ears perking as they idly sniffed the air, to try and get a bead on just what kinds of snacks that Omen had brought. Ettie in particular wasted no time in digging right in - chirping "Thank you!" as she grabbed what looked to be a sizeable piece of jerky from the basket; gnawing on it near immediately with a wag of her tail.
"... Should at least sniff it first to see what it is, before just eating..." Anne would remark at Ettie, a hue of caution apparent. Yet, that being said, she would nonetheless pick out something sweet-smelling; eyeing it a second before nibbling on it. "... Thank you, though."
With the two having picked out some snacks for themselves though, they'd perk at Omen asking about where they could go; to which Ettie would have only one answer, smiling as bright as could be. "I dunno!" She'd chirp without any hesitation, her tail wagging as the piece of jerky hung halfway out of her mouth - still chewing. "We've never been here before!"
"Grew up in the wild," Anne supplemented - gesturing towards Server Woods. They never stayed in one place for very long, with how their original pack was quite nomadic - but the Eastern Timberlands was the most familiar location for them as a whole. "Far away from civilization."
"Yup yup!" Ettie confirmed with a nod, grinning doofily at Omen. "Everything here is pretty new to us; you probably know about stuff here better than we do!" With this though, Ettie would tilt her head a bit quizzically as she managed to rip a piece off of the jerky and swallow it, asking "What can we do in Rosewood? Everything seems like just a bunch of big dens for other digimon here,"
Post by Omen, Chaddest of Chads on Feb 15, 2021 7:52:54 GMT
Omen knew showing that little trick of hers off would draw some curiosity! Mystery was the best way to get people interested in knowing you better, right? That or she had a flair for just mimicking voices. It was interesting seeing how she could mess with those. And by now she was building up an impressive repertoire...
"Ooooh...So, like me and my own sister. Who's also a dog." Omen nodded sagely. They did not come from the same egg, but they spent their whole life together up to a certain point in time. Omen would peer at Anne. "It's safe. Um. I got all of this from my mom's pantry, you see. So, if my mom can eat it...so can you!" She nodded her head a bunch of times! Yes, this made absolute sense to her.
But nobody ever mentioned to Omen that dogs are not cats. Especially these two. They were from the wilds themselves, far from civilization. Omen stared at them with the same smile on her face and seemed to nod in understanding.
"The Woods...They feel most familiar to me. I've been on my own for a bit, but I can sort of see it...Sort of. I've only ever been here once. I bumped into a Ludomon and some friends here but I had some fun. Now it's kind of a city? So there's like..."
Omen trailed off, the gears in her head turning to formulate an appropriate response. "Eleventybazillion new things here I wanna try and stuff. There's shops, schools, big dens, small dens, there's a spa--I don't even know what you do in a spa...There's also this thing called a derpertment store that just opened up that's said to have EEEEEEEEEVERYTHING." Omen would be making gestures with her arms if she had any! But her head leaned back as she said that final word.
"So...Everything! But also nothing if you don't know where to start." She finally concluded. "But I'm hungry and I want chocolates...So, I vote we go find some!" Omen THEN declared exceedingly triumphantly.
...She seemed to be taking to trusting the twins very easily. Maybe it was because they were nice to her? Who knew!

Neither Ettie nor Anne were really sure what a pantry was, when Omen began trying to reassure the latter's uncertainty over the food by explaining where she got it all. However, they at least understood that these were things that Omen's mother - and perhaps Omen herself as well - would normally eat, something that Anne seemed to accept as reassurance enough; especially given that Ettie didn't seem to be displaying any ill effects from eating the jerky. Thus, she'd nod and begin nibbling on a sweet-tasting food that she didn't quite recognize; her tail wagging casually at the taste.
(Anne, admittedly, had a bit of a sweet tooth.)
As Omen mentioned the woods though, and her own experiences with it, the two sisters would listen along with curious nods; wondering who - and what - this Ludomon must've been. There were some digimon types that they weren't 100% familiar with, after all! And Ettie in particular was always eager to make more friends - her tail wagging a bit as she wondered if they couldn't add this Ludomon and co to their pack, when they begun forming the pack proper!
However, as the eager Wispmon began to ramble quite animatedly (and before either sister could speak up!) the duo would both blink a bit in surprise - though nonetheless listened the best they could. This was probably important information!
Admittedly though - despite this importance - half of this was in one ear and out the other for Ettie. She was instead more focused on Omen's seeming excitement, her tail wagging increasingly harder as she began picking up on this energy; clearly this was good stuff! So she wanted to share in that excitement! Anne, on the other hand, was nodding and listening along a bit more intently; trying to process all of the different things that Omen listed off...
.... What was a spa, though? And for that matter... What kind of number was 'eleventybazillion', too? It sounded pretty big; but Anne also had never heard of such a number being used before.
Nonetheless, Omen eventually came to the conclusion that they should get some chocolates; something that Ettie was immediately on board with, (even if it was partially because of Omen getting her hyped up.) "Chocolate! Let's get chocolate!" She'd chirp eagerly, bouncing and fidgeting in place like a dog waiting at the front door for walkies as she - well - waited for Omen to start the walkies.
That being said though - while the duo allowed Omen to take the lead, Anne would be wondering... "... What is chocolate, anyways?" She'd ask, tilting her head a bit. While her sister was too wrapped up in her own excitement, Anne at least had enough of a clear head to consider asking the important questions here.
This question prompted her sister to briefly pause in her tracks. "Oh! That's probably a good question, too..." Ettie mused out loud; blinking a bit as she realized that she was so excited, that she had completely disregarded that she was as clueless (if not moreso) as Anne was about all of this! ...
... Buuuut it didn't take long for her to fall back into her excitement - tail wagging once again as she grinned at her sister, yipping "But it's probably something good, right??"
Anne, in response, would let out a bit of an exasperated sigh; although the blackfurred Strabimon smiled fondly at Ettie nonetheless. "Yes, I'm sure it's something good." She'd agree, petting her sister on the head in a loving fashion.

Oh goodness, oh goodness, was she rambling? Omen caught onto that at one crucial moment. And that was the moment she realized...she was out of breath. So, she had to actually take a pause to catch it. She had silently hoped that the girls had absorbed some of the information she was spouting, even if it was at a hundred miles an hour.
And then Ettie made it clear what she wanted. Chocolate. Yis. "It's a...kind of...candy, I guess? It's square, brown, breaks into chunks and usually tastes nice. Comes in a lot of flavors..." She'd start to explain as she took the lead, craning her head to and fro in search of the vaunted chocolate. Or at least a place that sold chocolate.
That one was sold out. So was that one... "...Is there some sort of craze for chocolate around these days...?" Omen mused out loud, before she sighted...a stand! No, not THAT kind of Stand, a candy stand! With a pink rabbit at the helm. And an earthy scarf. She darted over towards it! "Hi!"
"Howdy, partner! I've got the COOLEST sweets anywhere!" That sounded awfully forced for the Cutemon. She cleared her throat for a few seconds. "...Seriously, though! Good morning, you girls wanna buy anything?" The Cutemon inquired, gesturing to the literal bags of candy next to her. "I don't have any cool things, but I did bake way too much chocolate!"
"Well, cool, can we have some?"
"Sure, what kind?"
Omen stared. You could probably hear the thinking noises that went on in the Wispmon's head as the choice was presented. Please help.

As Omen explained to the sisters what chocolate was, the duo would listen curiously; their heads tilted in opposite directions, as though to express this aforementioned curiosity. If they were honest, though... "... We don't really know what candy is, either!" Ettie would chirp with a giggle; her tail wagging nonchalantly. "But it sounds like chocolate is pretty good, either way!" And with Ettie wanting to learn more about more civilized digimon and the like, this was a great first step to learning more about stuff like chocolate and candy!
So with that, they would follow after Omen as the little Wispmon tried to look around for chocolate - the two Strabimon sniffing the air as they went. Neither of them were really sure what to look for to track down chocolate, as far as scents with; and it didn't help either, that the air was filled with the scents of a hundred different things - ranging from other digimon, to things like the very snack basket that Omen was carrying! Thankfully though, it didn't take long for Omen to spot a stall - a stall with a Cutemon running it?
As Omen approached it, Anne would follow behind and peer over the different bags of chocolate - once more sniffing the air, and processing the new scents that she was picking up. Ah... so this was what chocolate smelled like? It sounded as though there were different varieties of chocolate here to pick from - and so she would tilt her head a little bit, mulling it over, before asking "... What kinds are there?"
However, as this all was going on... Where was Ettie?
Unbeknownst to Anne - and (potentially) unbeknownst to Omen and Coolmon as well - Ettie had snuck away from the group, skulking low and quietly. She snuck around the side of Coolmon's stall, eyeing the assorted bags that were strewn about; and reaching into one of these bags, it seemed that the young Strabimon would be trying to swipe a few chocolates to munch on! Would someone catch her in the act, or would she be able to get away with this miniature heist?
Post by Omen, Chaddest of Chads on Feb 22, 2021 5:47:47 GMT
Oh goodness, Omen must have had her work cut out for her! How could she explain that plus pick out some chocolate for the playdates...? She didn't...Bah. There was no amount of planning that could be done to try explaining this in a simple manner. "You'll see, trust me." Even if it might be tough.
At the stand itself, though? Picking a type of chocolate was probably harder than anything else because as Omen herself knew? Everyone had different sorts of tastes. And she had no idea what the twins might like. Coolmon glanced to Anne, and tilted her head too. "Well, that's a good question. I though there were just like...four but it turns out there's a lot more. Milk chocolate, dark chocolate, darker chocolate, cookies and cream, old lady mint chocolate--I call that one the Amelie Special..."
"...I wanna try the mint. Um. Ettie? Anne? Is there any one of those you wanna try? I'll pay for you two--I think I have enough bits for three..." Omen was unaware that Ettie had in fact slipped away to enact the greatest heist in all of Rosewood. Namely because heists don't happen in Rosewood.
Coolmon on the other hand...She peered around and noticed the absence of one Strabimon, before looking to the side. "Oh, I think she made her choice!" She...had not realized that Ettie was nicking some chocolates for her own. "Cool!" Omen would step over to Ettie to see which bag she was sticking her hand into, not all that cognizant of the heist either...
Post by Ettie and Anne on Feb 23, 2021 11:09:18 GMT
There were a decent variety of chocolates, it seemed; varieties that Anne didn't even know where to begin in figuring them all out. All she could tell, was that some of them had stronger scents than others - a good example of this being the... Old lady mint chocolates? Amelie Special...?? Anne tilted her head a little bit at the descriptors, having no clue what to make of that - though she, admittedly, liked the smell of the mint chocolates.
Thus, as Omen mentioned that she wanted to try the mint, Anne would nod. "... Mint sounds good to me; it also smells pretty good." She'd respond, before glancing over at the other flavors offered as the Wispmon asked about what she and Ettie would like. It was hard to say, exactly, which chocolates Anne was most interested in, but... "... Those smell good, too. I'll pick those." She'd decide, gesturing towards the milk chocolate. They smelled pretty sweet, and Anne liked sweet - so she figured that those would probably be the way to go to sate her sweet tooth, right?
However, then came the question of what Ettie, wanted; and as Anne glanced in the direction that she thought her sister to be - asking "What do you want, Ettie?" - it would seem that Ettie... Was absent from the group? Immediately, Anne's ears pricked, and she'd begin glancing about. "... Ettie..??" Where'd she go? Did she get distracted and run off? Anne knew quite well that Ettie was prone to getting easily distracted, and running off to do her own things, and so Anne was keen on finding her as quickly as possible - lest she get into trouble.
Coolmon and Omen would be the ones to spot Ettie though, from her hiding spot adjacent to the stall; and as soon as she noticed the pair of eyes on her, the young Strabimon would freeze up a bit - a piece of cookies and cream half-sticking out of her mouth - as her mind began scrambling at a hundred miles per hour, as though to find an answer to Omen's question. "... Um..." She'd first murmur - blinking as she noticed Anne leaning over to gaze her way - before finally responding "... Chocolate?"
(Thankfully, it seemed like she wasn't in trouble!)
Anne, though, would sigh - gesturing to the bag that Ettie had been nicking chocolates from, and mention to Omen "Let's go with these, too." Thankfully, Ettie didn't get them in trouble - and nor did Ettie run off someplace else without their knowledge. All there was now, was to get their chocolates and move on. "Thank you, Omen."
Ettie - once the awkward surprise faded - eagerly nodded in agreement - chirping "Yeah! Thank you, Omen!"
Post by Omen, Chaddest of Chads on Feb 28, 2021 6:06:50 GMT
Anne did not have much to worry on this front, as Omen was also kind of confused as to what each of these chocolates were. She only picked mint just to make Coolmon be quiet a bit so she could think more! Her sense of smell wasn't anywhere near the level of the twins, so the Wispmon was just watching Anne pick her chocolates out pretty carefully...At least until she had the mind to see where Ettie went.
And theeen she found her pilfering chocolate! Well, Coolmon and Omen both did. The former stared at her, a hundred possibilities running through her mind. See, she caught the doggo red-handed, but would it be really cool to punish someone for being hungry...? They just wanted to enjoy candy.
...Coolmon was better than that. They were all here for a good time and she didn't want to get in the way of that. It wasn't really that big of an issue given Omen had offered to pay. She didn't seem to have much to think about regarding catching Ettie mid-robbery, either, just silence. Before...
"Cool. What kind? I wanna know so I can buy it for you. Or try it later! One of those!" So, yes, that was some crisis averted as Omen scrambled to pay with some bits. Then, it was time to move on. "It's...It's no issue. I have some pocket change on me in case I ever get hungry around here, so this is only a little different from what I usually do."
"...You just buy chocolate when you're hungry? I mean, I won't judge, judging's not cool, but...get some healthier snacks!"
Omen looked up at Coolmon, who stared back down. "No. I don't think I will. I have made my choice, so I must wallow in my superior tastes." And with that, she would start walking off! ...Hopefully with the twins in tow. "Byeeee!" Coolmon waved!
"So, we have chocolate...What do we do now?" Omen asked, staring up at the sky as she continued walking. Had she not realized she could just eat it...? "Also, also, Anne, Ettie, how do you smell chocolate? What does it smell like?"
Post by Ettie and Anne on Mar 5, 2021 20:48:09 GMT
At being asked what kind of chocolate she had, Ettie would initially blink a bit in uncertainty - given that she... couldn't exactly read the labels on the bags. "Uhm...." Neither sister was able to read, actually, given their wild upbringings! And so, it would take Anne actually spotting and indicating the bag in question for her sister - which happened to be the one closest to the side that Ettie had been hiding on - before Omen would be able to buy the chocolates proper, and thus sending them on their way.
"Bye-bye!" Ettie was happy to wave back at Coolmon as the two sisters followed after Omen - although Anne, admittedly, couldn't help but be more quizzical at the exchange that Omen and Coolmon had a minute ago. "... Wallow in your superior tastes?" She'd ask (mostly to herself,) tilting her head a bit and wondering what Omen meant by that. Sweet certainly was good - but what made it... Superior?
Either way, Omen would soon ask about what they should do now - as well as both how they smelled the chocolate, and what it smelled like...
As for what they should do, Ettie would hum a bit, her ears twitching a little as she thought to herself, before suggesting "Let's find a place to sit down and eat, together!" with a wag of her tail. "I wanna try all of these chocolates we have!"
Meanwhile, Anne handled the questions of the hows and whats regarding the chocolate - to which the Strabimon responded "We... Smell it," with a shrug. "Our sense of smell is strong, compared to other digimon, from what we understand; though we've only really grown up around other digimon similar to ourselves."
"Yep!" Ettie confirmed, gesturing widely as she continued "Our mama is a biiig Garurumon-X! And our dad is a Dobermon! And we're all really good at smelling stuff!"
"Scents are very important for us." Anne supplied with a nod. "You can learn a lot from the scents you smell around you." It was how you were able to tell friend from foe under the veil of night, it was how you were able to tell where home was, and where food was - as well as whether that food was good or not. Scent also said a lot about individuals - things like whether one was scared, where they've been, and even if they are injured or ill...
As for the question of what chocolate smelled like though, Anne couldn't help but pause and think for a few moments, before she began speaking. "It... has its own smell, so it's hard to describe." She'd begin, glancing to the bags of chocolate they were carrying along. "But it does smell sweet? And the minty chocolates have... A very 'cool' and refreshing smell to them. They had the strongest smell, out of the different chocolates." It certainly made the pups wonder, how the chocolates would taste when they actually got around to eating them!
Post by Omen, Chaddest of Chads on Mar 11, 2021 8:20:48 GMT
Omen did not realize that the girls were, in fact, actually unable to read. Of course, Coolmon was going to just remain behind and think on that exchange for a bit, because gosh golly. That was some cursed shit. Either way, the Wispmon was probably not going to be at a loss for what to do for long, given she was not going to be hindered by her own inability to make decisions thanks to company.
"Oh. Sitting down, right! That's...uh. Something I should've seen as obvious? Yeah." Why did that slip her mind? Omen figured they could talk while they walked, so she'd begin walking with that very purpose in mind, trying to sleuth out a good place to sit and eat chocolate with new friends.
"So, other digimon that're like dogs and wolves? I have a sister that's a wolf, but I haven't seen her in a bit...And what's weird is that our moms are a cat...squid thing and a Renamon. So, theoretically...I guess I could smell good if I wanted to."
So, seeing, or rather, hearing how vital scent was to the girls was interesting. It was a sense that Omen would otherwise have sort of dismissed in a way. "I think that's because of one of the things in the minty ones--I hear it's kind of like a cold-tasting plant that's put in the food..." She'd muse as she zeroed in on a wide bench, and went over to hop on it without much fanfare or issue.
The Wispmon set her bag down, and plopped herself down, before reaching in her bag and yoinking out a mint chocolate, popping it in her mouth. "...It'sh like cold spicy."
Post by Ettie and Anne on Mar 12, 2021 8:37:55 GMT
"Yeah, yeah!" Ettie would chirp eagerly, as Omen mused over potentially having a good sense of smell as well. "Maybe you just need to practice, and then you'll be able to figure out scents just as well as we can!" Maybe that's why Omen wasn't sure as to the smell of the chocolate? Ettie didn't really remember if she ever had to learn to properly smell, though she did know that she and Anne both had to learn to discern scents as they grew up!
As Omen mentioned that minty things had a rather cold-tasting plant in them, Anne would tilt her head a bit curiously, before slowly nodding. Though they weren't sure if either of them ever ate anything that could be described as 'cold-tasting', she at least knew that Ettie once tried to eat some spicy peppers that were growing on a bush near one of their home pack's migration paths... And that, for certain, could be described as 'hot-tasting' - and it had a pretty strong smell of its own, too.
Once the trio were properly seated at a bench though, it came time to start digging into the chocolates - and Omen would waste no time, in trying one of the mint chocolates! "Cold spicy..?" Ettie would curiously question, reaching into the bag to try one of the mint chocolates as well. Popping it into her mouth, she would begin chewing; only for her ears to perk up as she realized... Yeah! This was pretty much what 'cold spicy' would probably taste like! "Do you wanna try one of mine?" She'd question in return - offering Omen the bag of cookies and creme chocolates. It was only fair, that Omen gets to try her chocolates, too!
Anne, meanwhile, was content to nibble on a couple of the milk chocolates, letting out a content sigh as she gazed at their surroundings - both the buildings, and the digimon and rare human who would walk the streets. "... Lots of Digimon, around here." She'd comment to herself, thoughtful, before glancing over to Omen. How did civilized digimon deal with all of this noise and bustle?
Well, regardless... "... You mentioned your sister, and mothers." Anne would soon begin curiously, before asking "Did you have a pack, like us, growing up?"
"Oh, yeah!" Ettie would chirp in agreement - before glancing over to Omen, her tail wagging eagerly. "What is your family like? Did your pack travel lots like ours did, or did you stay in a territory of your own?"

Many reasons could have existed for Omen not having as strong a sense of smell as the girls, but maybe the most simple one was the best one to go with. She just hadn't had to make use of it enough--and she knew she had one.
That mission she was on was proof enough of that.
So. Maybe it was just a need for practice. The Wispmon made a mental note to figure out some ways to train her senses like that. It could work well with her champion form if she could ever get over the nerves of using that...
Nonetheless. "Cold spicy. Like, it's spicy but instead of heat it only gives you cold." Assuming they knew what spicy was, at the very least! Omen wouldn't fault them if they didn't. Omen would finish the chocolate she was eating as she peered within the mystical (to her!) bag of sweets. Her tail would reach in and gingerly pluck out a single one of the cookies and cream chocolates, before she consumed that too.
"...I like this one better." She concluded, seeming quite assured of her statement. Omen had to think about how she wanted to respond. Ultimately, though. Honesty was what she lived by. This was no different. "Well, I didn't have a pack per se. It was just...myself and my sister for the longest time. I only really met my parents a while ago, and adjusting to living with them's been an experience of it's own. I think my mom travelled a lot before settling down, though. Do you know anyone by the name of Mae...? Because that's her name. I don't think we have any territory...unless you count an apartment as one. Um...Think of it as like a den in a house full of other dens."
