"Honestly, I probably could've handled that better than I did. But that doesn't really change anything. What's done is done, and all that stuff." Hana stated, rubbing her temples as she did so. She had a sly grin on her face when she continued talking. "Tell you what, Mr. Sparkwood. We won't talk about your stomach growling if you don't mention the fact that I fainted earlier. Deal?"
"Well, that's solid proof that Hana's back to normal." Data snarked, causing Hana and Rush to giggle in response. "I thought that'd get a laugh out of you two. Today HAS been a bit hectic, all things considered."
Hana stood up from the couch, gently pushing Rush off of her as she did so. Her eyes widened as she suddenly remembered something from earlier. "Didn't you say that you teach up at the school, Mr. Sparkwood? I think you mentioned that at one point."

"You never know how you'll react to something until it happens, after all," Weston explained, hoping it would at least ease Hana's embarrassment about the fainting spell. However, that embarrassment probably didn't compare to the shame Weston was feeling now after his hunger was made very well known in front of Hana and her Digimon. She promised she wouldn't bring it up if he didn't bring up her fainting. "D-Deal..." Weston agreed, "though if I don't get food soon it'll likely happen again. I was grocery shopping for a reason."
Weston stood up from his seat, preparing to make his way over to the kitchen to try to find something to snack on until he has the energy to go back to the grocery store. However, Hana then stopped him by asking if he said he taught at the high school. "Indeed I do, Hana. I teach world literature at Shibuya Academy High School. You said you were in ninth grade, correct? You may end up in my class if you're lucky enough... if you don't mind being taught by a Digimon, after all."
As he headed towards the kitchen, Weston would speak once more. "Feel free to explore the house or leave whenever you want. Or you can stay and we can go back to the grocery store again to rebuy our items."

"Why would I mind if I'm taught by a Digimon? Digimon are still people, after all. If the 'Wisemon' name is even remotely accurate, I'd actually be excited to be in your class." Hana replied with excitement in her voice. "World literature definitely sounds like a class I'd enjoy."
As Hana was talking, Rush had gone over to a nearby bookshelf and randomly pulled out a book with a jagged cover. He turned it over and examined it, before opening it to peek at it's contents. Immediately, the book came to life and started trying to bite at Rush's face.
"Bad book! Bad book!" Rush cried out in a panic, chucking the book across the room. After bouncing off of the wall onto the floor, the book started hopping towards Hana, who jumped onto the couch with a shriek in order to avoid the angry object.
"Gear Roller!" Data cried out, chucking one of his gears at the book. The gear struck the book dead-on, stunning it long enough for Data to quickly float over and lay himself on top of it. The book continued to angrily thrash underneath the Hagurumon, but Data's weight kept it from opening its jaws.
"Jesmon Christ Mode! What kind of book IS this thing?!" Data exclaimed, clearly freaked out by what had just transpired. "Seriously, who keeps something like this in their house?!"
Move used:
Gear Rollers: launches a pair of gears at the opponent. Deals a light amount of damage, 0 post cooldown. (Only 1 gear was actually thrown this time.)

If Weston's smile could be seen right now, Hana would be able to see that he had made the Wisemon very happy when she said that about world literature. "I appreciate those words, Hana. Literature isn't just a job for me, it is also my passion. I love being able to teach bright young minds about the wonders of the written word. I have a feeling you'd take it more seriously than most of my students. One of them I have to keep reminding to wear a hairband in class, his hair is so long."
All of a sudden Rush went over to the bookshelf as Weston and Hana were talking, and he opened up the wrong book. This book started to bite at Rush's face and the Keramon threw it to the floor, before it flew right at Hana next.
"DIVINE PROTECTION," Weston epically announced, extending his handcreating a wall of pure golden light in between Hana and the book. The toothy book hit the wall mouth first, allowing Data the chance to hit it with his Gear Roller attack. Of course this knocked the book out, allowing Data to use his weight to keep the book down. Weston walked up and grabbed the rampaging book from underneath Data, before hovering his hand over the book and muttering something quietly. Just like that, the book calmed down as if it were an ordinary book.
Naturally, Data wanted to know what the hell that was. Weston blinked in response, before chuckling slightly. "Ah that's right, I forgot to warn you." He turned the book over, showing the blood red rectangle on the bottom of the spine. "These books are important to me, so I want to be extra careful that none are stolen. I put a series of fake books among the real ones, the only indicator being this red line. Open one of these and who knows what would happen. This one came to life like a mimic, but another could've petrified or electrocuted you, Rush. I am glad you were unhurt, however." Weston uses "Divine Protection" to protect Hana.
Moves Divine Protection: Weston creates a magical shield-like wall made of yellow light in front of him. With this active, Weston nullifies all damage from Ultimate or lower level attacks for a single post. Cooldown is four posts.

"I repeat, Jesmon. ****ing. Christ Mode." Data enunciated from where he was laying on the floor. His voice actually censored itself, emitting an electronic dial-up sound in place of the curse word. "Pardon my language, but that's one heck of a security system. Is there anything else in here you should warn us about, preferably before we set off whatever other booby traps may be in this place?"
Hana nodded in agreement, her knees curled up to her chest where she was sitting on the couch. She was visibly trembling as Rush zoomed over to hug her. Needless to say, all three partners were clearly shaken up by recent events.
"Wanna go homehomehomehome!" Rush cried, his fragmented speech coming out even more garbled in his panic. "Badbooksbadbooksbadbooks!"
"It's okay, Rush. The books can't hurt us anymore." Hana softly reassured her partner. She quietly hummed to the Keramon, who slowly calmed down in her arms.

"Hmmmm..." Weston thought about other potential hazards that could be around his home. "There's a plant on the first floor that you'd best not walk towards until she's been fed. Unless you want to feed her, she mostly eats fruits and vegetables. She won't eat or bite anyone, but she does get cranky when she hasn't had her meals. Other than that nothing in the house should hurt or affect you at all."
The Wisemon walked over to the bookshelf and put the fake book back in his original spot. He turned around, and his stomach grumbled once more. It growled much louder this time, that Divine Protection spell took a lot out of him. "And that's my punishment for neglecting to warn you about it," he said with a sigh, placing a hand on his belly. "It appears I can't do much magic until after dinner."
Weston grew even sadder when he saw how scared both Hana and Rush were now, given that they just got the surprise of their lives. He walked back up to Hana and Rush. "I truly am sorry, to both of you. I do not have house guests often, after all. There isn't much in the kitchen, but I can provide you three with a snack or beverage if you would like. I would also like to show you in some way that magic isn't entirely scary, but how it can also be a wonderous element of life."

"It's-it's okay, Mr. Sparkwood. Just... give us a minute." Hana responded to Weston's apology. The mention of the word "snack", however, caused Rush 's attention to immediately snap towards Weston, the trauma of the past few minutes completely forgotten.
"Snack time?" The Keramon asked. He leapt out of Hana's arms to start zooming towards Weston, but Hana pulled him back at the last second.
"Don't be rude, Rush. This is HIS house, and we're guests." Hana sternly chided the overexcited rookie. She turned her head towards Weston and said, "I'm sorry, we're still trying to work on his manners."
"Sorry, Mama." Rush apologized. "Snack, please?"
"That's a little better. We'll keep working on it." Hana replied, pleased that Rush appeared to be learning.
"I'm fine, by the way. Don't worry about the Digimon who risked his own neck to stop the man-eating book." Data sarcastically stated from the floor. He tried to get up off of the floor, but only managed to wiggle around a bit. "I can't get up. I think I accidentally threw one of the gears I need to float."

((OOC: sorry this took so long!))
While Weston felt bad for the ways his own house was trying to attack his guests, Hana at least seemed to not be angry at him too much, or at all for that matter. The mention of a snack was enough to get Rush to forget everything that happened in the past few minutes and politely asked for a snack, well politely after Hana reminded him to be polite. "Ah, yes, you may. I do not know if I have much to offer though.
Meanwhile Data was still on the floor, unable to get up. He claimed he must have threw one of the gears he needed to float. Seeing the gear in question, Weston would pick up both Data and the gear, reattaching the two. "There we go, that should do it. Truly sorry about that, Data."
Weston then left the study area and arrived at the main hall, which looked suspiciously like a small mansion. There was a main entryway hallway with suspended hallways above, and a grand staircase in the middle. It truly did look like a house that a sorcerer would live in. Weston walked down the stairs and made a turn towards the kitchen, the kitchen itself looking old yet clean and polished. He opened the fridge... and you could count the things inside of it on one hand.
A quarter of milk left in a milk carton, a jar of pickles, a can of juice and a plate of leftover rice balls, with only three on the plate currently.
"This is exactly what I was afraid of. We'll both have to go back to the store in a moment here. In the meantime there's pickles and rice balls, at least."

"Don't mention it, Weston. No, seriously. Don't mention it ever." Data said as he got up from the floor. He quickly spun all of his gears to make sure the one gears was properly installed, and everything seemed to be n perfect order.
Rush followed Weston into his kitchen, but the Keramon felt bad when he saw how empty Weston's fridge was. He was hungry, sure, but it just wouldn't feel right to eat any of Weston's food when the Wisemon had so little of it at the moment. Rush gently took the refrigerator Door from Weston and closed it before heading back to the room Hana and Data were in. He could wait a little longer before eating.
Rush sat back down next to Hana, who moved the Keramon onto her lap and gave him a warm hug. This elicited a warm smile from Rush, whose face turned red from embarrassment.

"I'll mention it if I feel like it," Weston said before giggling, indicating that he was only kidding. Of course he knew that Data might not want to be reminded of this moment for personal reasons. There were things in Weston's past that he didn't want to bring up either. He saw Data spin his gears, indicating that everything was alright in that aspect.
Back in the kitchen, to Weston's surprise Rush just took the refrigerator door and closed it. Did he feel guilty because of how lacking the fridge was? "It's alright, I truly don't mind," Weston tried to reassure the Keramon. Sadly he had made his choice, and he simply headed out of the kitchen. Weston looked back at the now closed refrigerator and sighs.
"I need to get better about shopping," Weston said to no one in particular. He walked out of the kitchen himself to find Rush on Hana's lap, the latter giving the former a hug in the process. It made Weston feel warm inside, a smile forming from behind his hood.
Weston's stomach grumbled once again, and Weston knew he couldn't put if off any longer. "We need to get groceries sooner or later, the both of us do. We can go off together if you want, or I can simply order them to be delivered here, in case you don't feel like going back to the store. You're welcome to explore the house if you want them delivered."
