There are many places to never put a ten year old in. This was something that Miyako Isa had known pretty well about an hour ago back when she was at home, but after she had fallen asleep at the helm of the family computer...She had awoken in a completely unfamiliar place.
But it was like something she had read about in a book, so there was one thing. Stones everywhere. The whole place seemed made of stone, and had some lighting in the form of torches. Torches that Miyako was doing her best to stay away from. The light was something that hurt. The light was something that had the ability to cause problems. Also, it hurt her eyes, so...Yeah.
Where was this? What was the writing on the walls? There were way too many darn questions to be asked here and quite frankly, Miyako wanted out of this already. Or to wake up in bed, one of the two. The ruins were silent, it was dark, and it was also EXTREMELY foreboding.
Would be really awful if someone were to show up here!

It would be awful indeed. Especially to hear another child screaming in anger. Or at least saying really bad words.
"Useless piece of shit!" He yelled out, slamming a plastic device against a stone wall. That probably had some sort of ancient prophecy or some other forgotten wisdom within. But Yuichi Maeda didn't give a shit about what some old dead monsters did in the past. What he wanted to know was why the fuck his new toy had stopped working. "Work, already!" But the little toy he held in his hand didn't so much as light up or make a sound. "What is wrong with this thing!?" He chucked it onto the ground, the sound of it clattering across the floor as he stomped away in frustration.
It was dark, and it was the perfect time to find out why it didn't seem to work earlier. At first he thought it might not work in the human world, but... the stupid piece of junk wasn't even working in this messed up world, either!
And his entire body ached from the new injuries he sustained this afternoon. The bruises on his face weren't anything special, but the bruises underneath his shirt... he didn't want to even look at them. But it served as a reminder to make sure that the magic device that let him transform into a powerful darkness monster worked properly before mouthing off to his shitty father. He looked around for his stupid little device and picked it up once more.
It looked like a toy, so maybe he had to do something stupid and childish in order to get it to work? So he started doing a bunch of silly poses, going, "Transform!" Between motions. But to no avail.
But... at least there wasn't anyone around to see how stupid he looked!

Imagine being hopelessly lost and the first thing you hear that isn't the crackling of torches or the howling of wind...is some voice yelling bad words that sounded like they were about your age. In fact, Miya could dare to say they sounded-...Nevermind. Wrong character. But, hearing something was enough to make Miya keep advancing in that direction.
So, imagine her surprise when the owner of the voice was swinging some...thing around, looking entirely silly in the process, and yelling about it. There was no actual surprise. There was just a lot of confusion written on Miyako's face.
"Um...What...are you doing?"
This was going to end poorly.

All of the stupid tricks that Yuichi could think of weren't working. How the hell was this supposed to work if the damned thing wouldn't even turn on? This thing was supposed to turn him into a Digimon, right? So how come he was still his normal, eleven-year-old self? Did the damned thing break just because he went back to the human world or something? Well it wasn't like he had much of a choice! If he didn't bring that bitch back home, both his and her father would probably break all of his fingers and both of his kneecaps!
And then some voice called out of fucking nowhere, and then some ghost-looking bitch was standing right behind him. Except Yuichi didn't believe in ghosts anymore. In fact, every time he told his father that he thought he saw a ghost, he would get mad and... Look. What mattered to Yuichi was that there was enough scary shit in the corporeal world to be scared of that other kind of shit. So he started glaring at the little girl while trying to hide his embarrassment. It wasn't like he could make her un-see it, and he was feeling a little to beat up and woozy to beat the memories out of her.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" He asked as if the answer was obvious. "This is a stupid, childish-looking toy, so I'm trying to do stupid, childish stuff to get it to work!" He crossed his arm and let out a huff. "But enough about that. You look like you're really sick or something! You should go back to wherever the hell you came from instead of being anywhere close to me!"

Miya looked down to her hands. Then her arms. She wasn't sure if she looked that much like a ghost, but she was pretty pale even in the dark. This person was also quite...irritated. At something. Maybe it could have been her? Or maybe not. She had to consider that very cautiously. "...Have you tried posing like it's Super Sentai? That might get it to work--it looks like something from those shows."
Miya didn't seem TOO fazed by the boy. "And I'd try, but I don't know where I am. So it's kind of tough to do that. And a little embarrassing." She'd pace around Yuichi a bit. Carefully. Didn't want her indoor shoes to get too messed up by the stone. Or dirt. Or whatever. "What even is this? Where is it?" Miya mused out loud before she idly kicked a rock. The ghostly girl just kept pacing around and trying to examine her surroundings, but news flash?
Shit's tough to see in the dark.

"I've tried all number of stupid poses, and none of them..." Yuichi shook his head and growled in frustration, turning over towards the pale girl. "But who cares about any of that? You should just beat it so I can be left alone! What the hell are you even doing here in the first place!? A girl shouldn't be here, all alone in the Digital World! You'll get, like... kidnapped, or mugged, or something! And it'll be all your fault for being alone!"
But once it was apparent that she had no idea where she was or how to get back, the boy growled in frustration even further. "We're just in some stupid ruins or whatever. I came here so I can train and be by myself, which isn't going so well right now," He answered rather curtly before shaking his head. It was pretty dark. He was used to seeing stuff in the dark, so it didn't bother him at a-
Yuichi accidentally bumped into solid stone, his bony elbow taking the brunt of it. He stifled a not-so-boyish yelp and cursed under his breath for a bit. "Whatever! Just follow me and I'll take you somewhere where you can go back home to whatever dump you live in!" He grumbled a bit before reaching out towards the girl and moving to grab her wrist. "I'm Yuichi."

"You haven't tried the ideal stupid pose, then. Like in toku shows!" Miyako huffed. Seriously, who would assume she came here by her own volition? That was crazy! It's not like she -wanted- to be here or anything, but this was admittedly cooler than her parents' home. Though, one would never really -catch- Miyako saying that out loud.
"What the heck's a Digital World? And how's any of this my fault, don't put words in my mouth!" Was that the best way to refer to this? Maybe not, but still, Yuichi was making a lot of assumptions here that did not really apply to Miyako.
And no shit training's not going well. Seriously, who sprains their elbow like that? Miyako stepped over to see if Yuichi was...well, grievously wounded from that. Except why? She didn't have anything that could help...
Miyako stared at Yuichi grabbing her wrist. "...Don't grab people like that, they might get angry." She told him. Curtly. "My name's Miyako. What's a Digital World, and where the heck do I get out of here?"
