Tonight was, quite frankly, going to be a long night. Already on the heels of the beginning of the school year, nobody could have anticipated for there to be more chaos involving the barely known visitors and friends to our world, could they?
No.
Within the station, a patrol of lime-colored, sparky lads would be pacing around the hostages, who were silent as a house in the dead of night. The twin Strabimon overseeing the lime boys were glancing between themselves in an uneasy fashion, while a figure in a robe looked within their tome.
"What even...are you things?" One of the humans found themselves speaking, finally. Everyone there glanced over in alarm. The robed figure finally looked up, and though their face was invisible to the humans? One could tell he was smiling.
"Why. I am happy one of you held the Courage to ask that. We are...of course, not like you, but we hold the same...drive. The drive...to act...The question is, whether your saviors will be the same."
"I've got money bet on no!" One of the lime-colored critters piped up! "Well, I've got my money on maybe!"
"Quiet, quiet, children. Lay not a finger on them. We must wait, even still." The Wisemon chuckled. Deja vu as a feeling was tedious. Machine felt like he had been here before as he laid in wait, just out of sight of the train terminal's entrance with eight of the Riot Squad with him, keeping a staunch lookout for anyone that'd have received the message that Seifer had put out.
"Any updates?" The man found himself asking one of the squaddies, who had a laptop out, a clear view of the situation there. "No, sir. Uh...Do you have any idea what the lime ones are? They're not in our database or anything."
"I believe they're called...Pulsemon? They're a relatively new addition. Seem sparky. Don't lick 'em. I -really- hope we're not having to deal with an obvious trap alone." Seifer could be heard chiming in from Machine's Digivice, which led to a quiet groan from the agent.
"Relax..."

There has been something wrong about Yuuki, Hikaru thought as he looked at his partner from the Digivice. The young man is now studying in class, taking notes. Normally... normally he would be focused, with an interested glint on his eyes, like someone who knows that what they're learning can be immediately applied. However... during these past few months... He only saw empty, tired stare from his partner.
Maybe I should ask him if he want to take a break... This is getting unhealthy
Just at that point, the D-NexT blipped. Yuuki's trained reflex led him to pick it immediately and opened the notification center. At first, he just autopiloted and tapped the screen some to access Tamernet. However, upon seeing the topic, his eyes immediately widened. It's... not the good knid. He raised his hand.
"Excuse me, I was informed of an emergency, could I be excused?"
Of course he can't really use the excuse "I'm not well" when he's driving... But enough of that. Until today, he's still straight A honor student and that haven't changed. His excuse immediately accepted and he was able to easily go out fo his class, walking back to his car...
"...At times like this AEGIS' traffic law immunity would be really good."
"Heh," Hikaru chuckled. Thanks to the tinted window he doesn't really need to wear any holosuit and could just pops out of the Digivice, but... It was concerning how quiet Yuuki is otherwise. Normally he would cuss out storms and just grumble as his third semester is not doing well already...
..........but the more he think about it, the more it makes sense. A year difference could lead someone having negative thoughts and depression as pressure mounts them more and more.
"...What's the situation?" Hikaru asked.
"....I don't really know, but... as far as I know, there has been a hostage situation... Which caused a greater deal of mess. The trains inoperable, people getting stuck, and there's matter of it being late night too. We're going to have really bad backlash if we screwed this one... Not to mention, DATS higher ups would really "
"Digimon related huh... Don't worry, you got this."
"...Do I really?"
...That's another red flag. He would normally says "sure, I'll work hard"... Maybe... maybe it's the best if they don't come there instead?
"...You OK? You have been really out of it since a while ago... No, I know the answer. We can just leave it to the other. It's... It's fine to take a break from all of this you know?"
"Can I really?" he asked back. "...I don't really think so... I mean... As far as I know, I don't have any confidence that another would do well. We... we also have agreements with DATS that we'll try our best to maintain a status quo. Can we really pull out of this when we're trying to create a middle ground here?"
"...Yuuki."
Hikaru really can't say anything on that. His human have yet spared even as much as a glance on his direction as he drives. That... that's far more painful than he thought. He really want to lighten his mood, but... how? This is the worst.
.Out of sudden, Hikaru... noticed that there are something going on.with the digivice. The crest has dimmed, and now... Circle made out of light with numbers of needles projected by the Digivice.
...This... might gonna be even more serious than I thought. the king thought. His body felt heavier... It's as the power he amassed for years starting to leave his body.
The moment they arrived, Yuuki lifted Hikaru. He's much bigger now compared to his older form where he's just a Dorumon... perhaps by a good almost a foot? He had to look the part of a doll for the moment.
"...Agent Machine? It has been a long time. Itou Yuuki and Hikaru, here to help. Mind giving me the more detailed status of the situation?"

Normally coal was all about asking for permission in a slow, steady, front and center kind of way. But seeing this mission crop up on her sister’s D-terminal coal couldn’;t help but want to go. It was in the human world and after considering it briefly the black-renamon-x found herself shuffling in a permission slip to her father for the mission guild. To her surprise she found it back in her hands not even a few hours later; from her mother who seemed to not be judging her all too much for it. Perhaps because orion was a largely digital world threat they figured that she’d be fine in the human one? Surrounded by others that had no connection to the mon? Either that or they trusted her not to be foolish. Or they just didn’t fully read it. It was hard to know. Really really gosh darn hard. But that didn’t change her desire to go out and help; especially on another plane of existence that didn’t have the influence of this madman in it. She’d grit her teeth and step through the portal; finding herself somewhere in a park. Surrounded by trees and the dead silence of the place really didn’t help her nerves. Given that she couldn’t see any wireframes around this also meant that the human world was a strange strange strange place. Huffing to herself she’d check her map; the place they told her to go to was just down the way. Adjusting her outfit the renamon-x stepped lightly; unsure if it was a real wise idea to be wearing this now out of all times. Even if she wasn’t a knight humans didn’t like it when people walked around without clothing right? She’d huff a little bit and step quickly as she gathered stares from some pedestrians; eventually making her way down a deserted street. Well mostly deserted; she could feel the presence of others. And their wireframes stuck out like a sore thumb. Huffing to herself the rather well dressed renamon-x stepped forward bringing up her hand in a meek somewhat uncertain wave. ”Hi uh… I’m coal. I saw your announcement on tamernet and thought to… well help.”Aside from the lump in her throat the renamon-x was feeling somewhat fine. Maybe she should put on her goggles for this? Nodding to herself she’d adjust and slide them over her face with a small sigh.

"So there's just... A bunch of humans and digimon there?"
"That's what it looks like,"
"And... none of them are in that weird holosuit thingy?"
"Yeah... It's strange..."
Not too far from where DATS were gathered, was a group of pups - hidden amongst the bushes and foliage of the park. Anne, Ettie, Princess, Duchess, and Ruffian would be spying on the gathered digimon and humans from afar - having purposefully placed themselves downwind, so as to better avoid detection. As they watched, they'd converse amongst themselves in hushed tones - wondering just what in the world was going on out there, but...
"... Is this... a hostage situation?" Ruffian would eventually question, raising an eyebrow. This would prompt Ettie to glance in his direction a bit quizzically, parroting "A hostage situation?" in a confused tone.
"When people are..." Briefly, Princess trailed off in a yawn, before resuming. "... Being held captive, for bargaining, I think..."
That... didn't sound good.
In truth, none of the pups present had really been aware of Seifer's call for help on the Tamernet. Having met not too long ago, the five had been making a habit of hanging out together in the Human World from time to time; goofing off as they pleased, and normally keeping well away from anything DATS or otherwise authorities related. However, today, they had noticed a strange commotion - and curiosity got the better of the budding pack, prompting the five of them to watch the situation from afar.
Even without meeting up with DATS proper though, it wasn't too hard for the pups to get a basic gist of the situation from simply spying on the group - listening and watching for whatever information they could gleam. As soon as they were able to come to the conclusion that these humans were being held here against their will though, came the next question... "What... do we do?" Duchess would ask, glancing to the others with visible concern.
"... Think we could beat the shit outta them?" Ruffian questioned with an almost vicious grin - to which Anne would glare in his direction. "No fighting." She'd state firmly - elaborating "We're outnumbered, and that cloaked digimon looks tougher than what we can handle."
The Gaomon, in response, would grumble a bit - though nonetheless questioned "Then what the hell do we do from here?"
It was a good question - a question that the group would have to mull over, as they tried to figure out a plan. A straight on fight was out of the question, and neither of them wanted to bail on these poor humans, either...
... If noone else noticed their presence, it was likely that this pack would end up acting on their own plans, whatever they'd end up being!

Of all the times a crisis had to occur at the crossing, it had to be while Hiro was investigating where his nephew had disappeared to. Though there was something strange about the situation. He hadn't heard anything about this from his contacts on the force. How could something like this be kept on the downlow? Well there was nothing to do other than stick his nose where it was likely not wanted. He was used to throwing himself into a case if those presiding over it allowed him to. Little did he know that this detour would throw him headfirst into a world he could have never imagined.
As he got closer to the crossing, he found himself shocked by what he saw. A riot squad? How in the world did these guys get mobilized without hearing anything about it? He approached and flashed a badge "Detective Hiro Akiyama. What's the situation here?" He asked. He was met with silence as some of the squad exchanged looks and told him that he can't be here. Hiro was rather surprised. Was the situation here worse than he thought? Homicide? Some kind of attack? "Wha-? Hey come on guys I promise this thing isn't fake. I'm qualified to lend my support to the police so let whoever's in charge know that a detect...ive..." He blinked slightly as he saw a fox-like figure in the distance alongside someone. "Whoa now, I think you guys have something more important to be worrying about than a detective trying to do his job. Someone in a costume slipped in near the scene! There a convention going on or something? Either way, you have to let me in there."
This could be a problem. This detective managed to catch a glimpse at Coal, which could be an issue if he catches on that it most assuredly wasn't a costume. It was up to the squad to decide if Hiro should be taken to Machine and brought up to speed on what was going on, though that had its own risks associated. "I'm good at what I do, trust me. I can handle myself in a scrap if need be."
How did he manage to get himself into these situations? Right, because he was extremely nosey. That seemed to be par for the course for his career choice. Despite the rising tension, Hiro seemed professional enough but he certainly wasn't in the 'know.' All he could hope for was that Toki wasn't involved in whatever was going down. And now he just had to wait if he'd be allowed inside. He sighed and tapped his foot a bit as he waited. Everything about this just felt...off. All that did was spark his curiosity more.

The situation didn't really look very good from what Machine could tell. Digimon that had not been seen on Earth before, plus a Perfect and...some rookies? Probably a noteworthy recipe for trouble if one were to leave it be. Machine's ruminations were interrupted by the commencement of arrivals. Perfect.
Hideaki didn't need to go in alone.
"Yuuki, Hikaru--You're a sight for sore eyes." Machine remarked. It was clear the tamer commanded at least a little bit of respect from the Agent. And that was part of why a brief look of concern shot across Machine's face. Was Yuuki good?
In the meantime, another would make their entrance on the form of a black Renamon. Huh. This one was...a stranger. A complete stranger that neither Machine or Seifer knew about. "Good to have you with us as well, Miss Coal. We're going to make a move in...a bit. Squad and I are mostly waiting for more people to hopefully show up." The Agent quickly explained. "The basis of the situation is that there's a group of 7 assumedly hostile Digimon holding a group of hostages in the station. There's two more groups deeper within, but Maria and Tiger are on those. I'll give a more thorough briefing once we've got some numbers."
"I can't be the only one who's happy we don't have to deal with whatever's in there alone, right?" One of the Riot Squad members noted, keeping an eye on a laptop with a camera feed.
"...There's more around. I think. That one came out of a bush, yeah...?" Seifer piped up. "Let me out of the Digivice. I think I've got the schmooves for this." He insisted, before Machine would allow him to realize. See, despite Seifer being more comfortable working with technology, he was still a Hackmon, so he was going to try at least putting some senses to the test. He moved a bit away from the group, before he decided to throw out a lure. Would it work?
Well, that was the gamble.
"Hey, if anyone else is out there...We would sincerely appreciate any extra help. It's for a good cause." Well, saving people's always a good cause, right?
With Hiro, though...The Riot Squad members that he spoke to regarded him with mild surprise. A detective? On the case here? They didn't THINK the badge was fake or anything, they were just surprised to have someone lending support to the police lending DATS their support. Of course, uh...One of them, a man who seemed to be a little older than Hiro's nephew, gave his own sort of response at the idea of someone in a costume.
"Sir, um. I don't know how to tell you this, or if I'm even allowed to disclose that, but that's..." He cut himself off. It was likely better to have Machine brief him on this. "...Actually, come with me. You're better off hearing it from the guy with clearance than me."
So, Machine naturally perked a brow at the member escorting Hiro on over. "...Taro." "Yes?" "Who is this?" "Detective Akiyama, sir. He...uh. Saw what was going on at the crossing, I think. Also, he saw the spiffy Renamon." That was a conversation. The name also sounded familiar to Machine...
"...That'll do it." Machine grumbled. Accidental digital awareness was something you needed to prepare for for this job. Though, he realized one way this man could help with this particular...pain in the ass. Yes, let's call it that. "Call me Machine, Detective. I'm afraid that I don't have any cases for you, but I do have to inquire--how good are you at getting hostages out of a deadly situation?"

"Can imagine," Yuuki sighed, looking at the crisis on hand. There's no time to linger on his own problem, albeit honestly most of him just wanted to run away and asking what's even the point of playing by the book at this point... World security? He's reallly on a high horse seriously... But that's not the point for the meantime. He quickly looked at his D-NexT just in case. Another member of KIZNA is nearby it seems... hopefully they'll assist with whatever going on. This situation is like never before. Considering that they come with hostages, then...
"I'll be frank then, Agent....If this has escalated to hostage situation then surely it have some repercussion. I won't be greedy and say that this time I could solve it "peacefully" diplomatic wise with the potential of them actually means business this time around.."
........what's next, he wonder...
"...But just in case, have they said any demands? Have there been any attempt to communicate with the other side?" he asked.
"I'm not sure if our position will give us any sort of advantages this time around," Hikaru admitted. "I'm just a king of a small halidom on the north. They won't listen to me, heh... but if we know what they want, we can potentially use it to lure and pull and then my son could give those people treatment they needed just in case."
"That... sounds like the plan I guess. Sorry, I'm not really in condition to high speed process this. My brain was left in my class and currently lagging to get here. Give me five and some silence, maybe I can thnk better strategy.."
...Well, there are more people now. None of them seem familiar at all, so Yuuki only addresses them with a nod and a curt "good evening" before putting on noise cancelling headphone. "Touch me if you need my attetion, but if it's not urgent please let me be for a bit," Yuuki told the rest. He also changed his clothes into his operative suit just in case. Now... time to concentrate... Time to wreck his brain.
"Just in case, is there is any live footage of whatever is inside at the moment?" Hikaru asked. "I think we should see it so we can plan any combat response if needed."

The renamon adjusted herself ever so slightly; flicking her ears forward as the agent started to explain to her what was going on. The renamon-x couldn’t help but hum to herself a bit; it was quite the situation wasn’t it? Seven hostile digimon with a group of hostages. Hearing that there were other groups made her relax ever so slightly.
”Well Sir Mr. Human man Agent person it’s good to be here to help out. I don’t have much experience in practical combat but I do have a lot of training thanks to one of the knights!”
The renamon-x gave a thumbs up, trying to show that she was at least confident in her abilities or her ability to at least be supportive. She’d blink a few times and glance back at seeing another human approach with a riot squad member. She’d tilt her head quizically; fumbling with her goggles a bit. She didn’t see him having any sort of wireframe on him so he was definitely human but…
”Seven hostile digimon holding hostages hmm…”
The renamon hummed to herself and honestly wasn’t sure what to make of Seifer approaching another group. Or what he sensed. Or something. Honestly there was a lot to take in and the renamon-x was better at focusing on just one problem at a time.
Hearing what yuuki and hikaru had in mind though? The renamon drummed her fingers on one of her sides while rubbing at her chin. Man these guys were serious weren’t they? She’d furrow her brow and step forward just a bit, leaning this way and that. Wondering if she could even see the hostages from here. She somehow doubted that.
”Hmm…”
Coal would perk up a bit and turn to the agent; flicking her ears as she caught his name finally. Yeah that first introductory guess to his name wasn’t going away any time soon was it? Looking between the human detective and the human agent Coal eventually perked up with a smile; it was far brighter than it had any reason to be.
”I think I might have an idea Mr. Agent Machine. But I don’t know how good it’ll be compared to the other ideas you or the others might have. Kinda simple really. If we know how many ‘hostiles’ there are doesn’t that mean we know how many people we can separate and make it easier to get the hostages?”
Coal was more worried about the hostages than fighting the digimon really. Given that she wasn’t exactly too keen on putting herself in that much danger. Given she figured her father would be furious she was even here in the first place!

"So... We probably can't... -yawn-... fight them..."
"... But we can't just leave people there, either!"
"So what the hell's the plan gonna be?"
Still in their hiding spot amongst the bushes, the group would converse amongst themselves in those same hushed voices - trying to figure out what their plan of action would be. Fighting the digimon on their own likely wasn't an option, given that the Wisemon looked to be far stronger than any of them were - even as a group. But they (or at least, Ettie, Duchess, and by extension Princess) didn't want to leave the humans to whatever fate might befall them, if noone came to help!
"Hm..." Ettie was quiet, initially, as she tried to think hard as to what they should do. Strategy wasn't really her key skill - and so, nothing particularly huge came to mind, but... "... Maybe we... Could play with them?" She'd suggest, tilting her head in a thoughtful fashion.
"Play with them?" Ruffian questioned, raising an eyebrow in a bewildered fashion. "The hell would that do?"
"That seems dangerous..." Anne added, uncertainty plain across her face. What if the other digimon just ended up attacking them?
"If we could befriend them though, then we could probably ask them why they're doing this!" Ettie chirped, as optimistic as always "And we could ask them about maybe letting the humans go!"
"I-"
Any further conversations about the pack's plans, though, would be cut out as a voice called out - a Hackmon's voice, asking for... Extra help? As soon as the Hackmon made himself known, the group would fall completely silent and still - the only movement being the barest turns of their heads to glance between one another. "... ... Does he know we're here...?" Duchess eventually questioned, trying to speak as softly as physically possible without becoming incoherent.
"I don't... -yawn-... don't think so..?" Princess would respond lazily, though her eyes would be narrowed into a half-glare; the Offmon picking up on her sister's nervousness, prompting that familiar protective instinct to rise up in her gut.
"Should we talk to him?" Ettie asked next - though Ruffian was quick to shake his head, growling "Feels like a trap, or some DATS bastardry. I don't trust 'im."
Finally though, Anne would be the one to make a decision - a somewhat surprising one, for a normally wary pup such as herself. "I'll talk to him." She'd declare, giving the other pups a firm look. "Stay here, unless something happens. We'll rely on the element of surprise, if something goes wrong."
And thus, the black Strabimon would emerge from the bush - ears swiveling around her for any signs of danger, and her nose sniffing the air for any unfamiliar scents. Slowly, carefully, she approached Seifer - her gaze hard and stoic, as she began questioning him. "... Who are you? Speak quickly. For all I know, you could be with those digimon holding the humans captive."

Amazingly, Hiro was guided to whoever was in charge of this operation and the closer he got to Coal, the more he seemed...convinced that whatever she was, that wasn't a costume. Some kind of robot? If so why was it here? He shook his head and tried to wrap his head around all this "Machine? Well seems like there's reasons to be secretive with...whatever this is. My negotiation skills are pretty solid if I say so myself. Wait, are you implying there's a dangerous hostage situation going on right now? As we speak? Just what on earth is going on here today?" He said as he rubbed the back of his head. "Regardless, if there are people in danger, I'll work with you. Can't very well leave innocent people in danger."
He looked at Yuuki and nodded "Kid's got a point. What do we know about the situation. What exactly are the demands. Do we have a motive?" Hiro said, though he seemed concerned by his general aloofness. And what was that about him being king? He felt his forehead to make sure he didn't have a fever.
The fox started to speak. Actually, fluently speak and her mouth was moving. "The fox is talking. It's talking...she's talking? How...? Exactly? Can someone please explain what's going on?" He said as he gestured towards Coal before he realized how unprofessional he was acting. "Deep breaths, Hiro...remember what your brother taught you." He muttered. "Though it sounds to me the best course of action would be to send in one or two while the others remain on standby to provide backup if necessary."
Hiro was currently unaware of anything else going on around him...but he crossed his arms "What kind of mess have I gotten myself into? I'm half-convinced I'm not even awake right now. Is there anything you can tell me, Machine? What...is all this? Because looking at the walking talking fox here, it certainly doesn't seem...normal. No offense...but seriously what in the world are you?" He said, voice barely composed.
He sighed and rubbed his face as he thought about this situation. Why didn't he hear anything about this? Why was Yuuki here? Seemed too young and he certainly wasn't in a uniform. What was the deal with the fox? "I'm usually...a lot more professional than this, I'm sorry. I just don't understand a thing of what's happening outside a hostage situation."

Seifer was surprised that his gamble on there being someone in the bushes was correct, and he had to actually focus on keeping his composure for a bit. There may be more, but the fact someone came out to speak was...good, in fact. "Actually, on the contrary, madam. I'm working to save the captive humans. Well, me and my partner are. My name's Seifer. What's yours?" He spoke quickly, and to the point. Seifer didn't have much time to waste, but every hand they could get was valuable in a situation as dire as this one.
Well, with the amount of people present, it was probably good that they did deliberations now rather than later. Yuuki didn't have much to offer at the moment thanks to exhaustion from class-...Oh, no! No wonder they were hardpressed to find some Chosen to help, it was the FIRST DAY OF CLASS for a lot of them! "That's...Okay, take some time to get your bearings. I don't expect this to be resolved too peacefully either, but people are in danger in there. And I don't feel confident going in alone, either."
Which was why... "Knights...?" Machine found himself repeating. Never mind that. It was likely this Digimon was trained in the Digital World, which was likely for the best. "It's a good start to an idea. There's six rookies. I assume they can all assume higher forms, but the strongest one there is the Wisemon." Machine stated, going over to one of the Riot Squad keeping an eye on a laptop, and picking the laptop up from there. He'd move back on over to the group to show them the camera views from within.
The Strabimon were keeping a stoic watch on the hostages, of which there were about...twelve people, restrained with some sort of very bright rope. Likely one of Wisemon's moves. The Pulsemon, however. The Pulsemon were exercising. No. Really. It was strange, one was running in place, the other doing pushups, the third lazing around, and the fourth? Asleep.
"They also wrote their demands down on the wall there. 'Dismantle DATS, or I'll personally invert this entire building and everybody in it.' ...It's kind of a touch unreasonable." The Riot Squaddie who was formerly at the laptop stated. "Are you sure it's not bait?" Another squaddie inquired. Machine decided to address Hiro's questions a bit further. "Trust me when I say that you're as awake as I am." He began. "So, I realize I should've explained this earlier, but, Miss Coal is a type of individual from another world called a Digimon, short for Digital Monster. The entities you see on the screen are also Digimon. And...They're also capable of some extraordinary stuff that can cause a lot of damage when unregulated. Or a hostage situation, as you can see here. ...As we speak, as you said." He paused to take a breath.
And then.
"We don't know their motives, and we can't be sure on if they're serious about the demands, but...Given someone caused over a million yen in damages last year with a single attack on the same level as that Wisemon...I don't want to take chances. So, whatever we come up with, we need to make sure that it works, above all else. Even if it's so simple as negotiating."
The floor was open from there.

One thing was safe to say - the first thing that Anne would notice about Seifer, as she stepped out to meet him... Was that he smelled of humans. Even from the short distance she stood from the Hackmon, she could particularly pick up a specific scent that she guessed was his partner’s scent - which was strong, amongst the other scents of humans. He was either a partner to a Chosen - or a partner to a DATS agent, much like Ruffian suspected. The latter was probably more likely, given how he didn’t smell at all like the digital world anymore...
... It was a strange profile of scents, to say the least. It made Seifer feel almost alien - more alien than even civilized digimon - to the wild-born pup. Assuming that Seifer had a similarly strong sense of smell - which was possible, given that he looked to be at least partially a beast digimon with those ears of his - she couldn’t help but wonder what he’d think of the scents that she carried. Could he smell the scents of her pack on her?
At the very least though, Anne didn’t get any vibes of danger from the area - nothing smelled, sounded, or looked to be out of the ordinary, no signs of a trap or ambush. Thus, as Seifer spoke, Anne would gradually relax enough that she could turn her focus to not only the Hackmon’s words, but also the distant words of the gathered group that were just a handful of feet away from them. “... I’m Anne.” She’d introduce herself, quick and simple. “I was watching the situation from afar -” She’d nod to the bushes that she had been hiding in. “- and seeing what I could learn from listening in.”
“... ... Things seem complicated, for certain.” It didn’t help that she was wild born - and thus somewhat unfamiliar, to the concept (or even point) behind things such as hostage situations. It was clear that this would be something that her pack would be unable to handle on their own, though - and Seifer seemed to have the right idea of things, in trying to ask for more aid. Distantly though, she could pick up bits and pieces of the conversations between Machine, and the other humans and digimon with him - be it the squaddies, or the other Chosen and lone digimon who were there to help. Things, indeed, seemed complicated...
But as she looked Seifer in the eye, and mulled over everything that she had seen and was listening in on... Anne would eventually decide that if they did want to do anything about helping the hostages, that the pack joining in on the group would be the best course of action. “... Alright.” She’d eventually state, without waiting for any further inquiry or prompting from Seifer. “I don’t know if I trust you. But I’ll work with you, alongside my pack.”
Anne would make a beckoning gesture towards the bushes - and the four pups within would waste no time in coming out, one by one.
“Hello, hello!” Duchess would sing-song in an excitable fashion, as she and Ettie both burst out of the bushes first, all with noticeable joy over making a new friend! With the Gazimon's superior speed though, Duchess would nearly bowl into Seifer - nearly tripping up on her own two paws, as she tried to come to a sudden stop before the Hackmon! "Yeep!"
“Are you a canine like us, too?” Ettie questioned curiously, trying to peek under Seifer’s hood as her tail wagged eagerly, "You kind of look like one!" ...
... At least until Princess would (with scary ease) lift the Strabimon up and away from the Hackmon! A clearly sleepy look to her eyes, the Offmon would lazily mumble “That’s rude...” to the rambunctious child, before letting out a wide yawn.
Ruffian was the only one who still seemed unconvinced that Seifer wasn’t bad news - the Gaomon casting him a sharp glare, arms crossed. “If any of you bastards get any funny ideas to try ‘n snatch us up, I’ll shove a boot up all of your asses, got it?” He’d growl at Seifer, ears folded back and tail stiff in clear dislike.
With the pups all present now though, it seemed that Seifer would have quite the little pack to deal with - how would he react to all of them greeting him in their own little ways? (And for that matter, what would the rest of the group make of this little pack?)

Yuuki took off his headphone. The realization that this is a win-win situation for a DATS operative made him increadibly frustrated. He know that Machine is on their side, but at this rate... the current government will probably get a huge smear on their face for keeping DIgimon secret... and more humans will getting in side of the radical faction of DATS. This might cause whoever on the top of DATS command to become a major force in Japan... Probably will be the prime minister too. Drats. now he know how KIZNA need to move.
"Alright, Agent Machine, I think we should try our best to get these people to just return to Digital World as peacefully as possible. The hostages could be told something outrageous... If we can tell ensure the hostage that they're simply hallucinating, or limit what they already seen, I think we can continue with our daily life normally. Now... The problem is how we can work..."
Yuuki looked at Coal... and then this person, a detective apparently, who's... who's probably not even partnered.
"Hmn.... This is bad," he mused.
But then the movement from the nearby bush caught his attention. Yuuki perked and whipped around to look at... several Digimons! And they're going to help!? Did he heard that right!? He immediately approached them slowly. From what he heard, one of them is a bit tense, for understandable reason. "Excuse me, are you guys solo Digimons perhaps? I heard you wanted to help with the hostage situation, could you please gather closer to us perhaps?"
"We just want you to hear our proposal if possible," Hikaru told them. "Ah yes, I'm Hikaru, and this is my partner Yuuki. Sorry to cut in, but we're in a bit of a rush right now."
"Rush is right. Anyway, please convene! I'd like to tell you about my plan...
So here's the plan. Our desire is to get the hostages out as quickly as possible. Because we're in ground level, letting these people out would be easier. Unless we got blocked, exit should be completely available to them. Now, as for how we'll proceed. I think we should do diplomacy. as of how we'll do it... We have three person here that probably most suited for this situation humanwise. Agent Machine, me... and I'd like to have your cooperation, Mister..."
"That one is Detective Akiyama he said," Hikaru supplemented.
"...Akiyama? Related to Toki Akiyama perhaps?" Yuuki mused outloud "ah, nevermind, um... yes, I'd like to ask for your help, Detective. I understand it must be really weird to have a youth that still yet reach twenty to act like he knows everything like this, but... please, please for the meantime, follow my plan, or if you have better plan then we'll adjust later."
Then he turns to Anne and the rest. "These Digimons... their numbers being this big usually means they're Xros-able Digimons... In that case, I'd like to ask you to pretend that you're partnered to these... five. Just hang out, pretend that Machine, me and you five and Detective Akiyama is the full power of our team at the moment..
Miss Coal, if you could do some stealth or have any neutralizing move, I'd like you to ready to hop in to neutralize the six child stages. Yes, them, not the Wisemon. Wisemon might be Perfect stage, but that's already pretty much calculated. These six meanwhile... their power is still mysterious to us. That's why I'd like you to neutralize them if possible. However, do it only in case of failure in negotiaton.
Reiterating, the main negotiator will be Agent Machine and me. Detective Akiyama, please support us through the... ahem... more "muggle" point of view if you got me. Intricacies of law regarding hostage situations unfortunately isn't quite in my study yet..."
"If you have any disagreement, please voice it right now," Hikaru said. "We'd like this to go as smooth as posssible."

Post by Hiro Akiyama on Mar 30, 2021 10:14:59 GMT
Hiro adjusted his glasses and pinched the bridge of his nose to hide the fact he was staring at the ground in utter disbelief. DATS? Digimon? Digital Monster? What kind of video game or anime plot did he just wander into on pure chance? Was it even chance? "I'm losing my mind. I am losing my damn mind..." He muttered with shaky breath. He looked at the screen and analyzed the situation as best he could "You're telling me that these...creatures, and that hooded guy are threatening their lives and massive property damage over some organization I never heard of? And you're saying a situation like this has happened before? How? How is this not common knowledge at this point?!" He said, stress and frustration clear on his features.
He stood straight and adjusted his tie "Okay. This is okay. Look, I don't know a thing about Digimon or DATS or whatever else is being thrown around here, but it's clear these people are in danger and charging in guns blazing will only get them and others hurt, right? So I say we go in, ask what this organization has done to drive them to this extreme, and work out a deal from there. I'll even be point man if I have to be. I don't want anyone else to be put in unnecessary danger." If these 'Digimon' were wronged it was only right to hear the full story. On the other hand, their methods would only make things worse for both parties. It would by a cycle of hatred that would only get harder to break as it went on. At least, that's what he assumed. He looked back at the screen "Seriously, creepy hooded figures, wolfmen, and...I don't even know what to say about all those identical ones...part of me refuses to believe any of this is actually real and that I somehow stumbled upon some superhero show set."
He went over a plan of action in his head "Alright...we have to be as calm as possible. We can't afford to threaten them while they have that many hostages..." Then, a strange little band started to approach from the bushes and trees nearby "Whatever exists in the realms beyond please give me strength." He said with a slight slump of his shoulders.
To add fuel to the raging fire that was Hiro's confusion, Yuuki even had a pretty solid plan of action "Huh? Wow, you got a pretty good head on your shoulders...but wait, you want to just have these people forget about this? I don't know...being secretive has its place but it can also lead a lot of things to fester until it's too late to change anything...though given how unique this situation is I can't say I blame you...still..." It troubled him that secrets had to be kept here. Maybe someday things can be explained? Would any amount of explanation help at this point? He sighed. "Look don't mind me. I'm no where near qualified to talk about all this like I know anything. I'm mostly in agreement with this plan anyway so I'll follow your lead on this."
Then, Yuuki mentioned Toki by name "...Excuse me what did you say? Toki Akiyama? He's my nephew! Are you...one of his friends? He's not involved in any of this craziness is he?! Damn it...is this what he's been up to? No, there's no way...haha...there's no way."

Coal thoughtfully rubbed at her chin as she took a moment to sort of collect the information in front of her. But most of it was fairly easy to understand from the get go; at least for her. Six rookies and the strongest was likely the wisemon. Hearing that the six could potentially become stronger was a problem. She’d lean a bit and stare at the laptop; while she couldn’t make things here into wireframe or digital messes… it was a relief to see even through the laptop screen that she could vaguely see the outlines of the wireframes in the mons.
”Then it can be quite messy… Even rookies can cause a lot of damage or hurt humans a lot right?”
Coal’s face fell a bit and she’d adjust so she could get to see more of what was offered on the laptop. She’d glance at Hiro as he seemed to question what she was; but before she could really explain machine expertly handled it. Though she’d smile warmly at the human; they weren’t so bad compared to humanoid digimon; for some reason they sort of set her off a bit. Or at least made her very nervous.
”Ma told me that some humans don’t really know about digimon; but Mr. just don’t worry about it too much. I’m friendly! And I won’t hurt anyone here. Or the people that need help on the other side of that laptop.”
She’d shift and fold her arms; mulling over what needed to be done from there. But it was the pack that brought her attention from the matter at hand to well… the pack. Anne, Duchess, Ettie, Princess and Ruffian. A group of five that the renamon could tell were sort of linked. Even with her goggles on it wasn’t hard to see that they operated together; if she took off her goggles she bet that she’d be able to see how their cores were linked. But that was in itself rude right?
”...First time seeing a group like this…”
She felt herself automatically shying away from them. It would probably be better if she didn’t spend too long staring at them. Or at them directly once she needed to take off those goggles. Then came the sudden planning medium from yuukz. Coal would turn her attention to them and feel her ears perk up a bit.
”I can turn intangible for a short spell, I can create an area of darkness about ninety feet in diameter and I could limit the movement of one of them. But with there being so many it’s unlikely I’ll be all that effective unfortunately.”
Coal managed to give a small shrug; her brows coming together in a thoughtful way. It seemed that hiro was still trying to figure things out too and had some good points. This also brought up the fact tha utmost humans still didn’t know about digimon which… given the situation was dangerous. She’d bite her lip and wonder if maybe she shouldn’t have signed up for this…
”So we’re going to try to talk to them first… I have a feeling that they’re going to just restate what they wrote out there but…”
It was hard to know what the others would say to them; or what sort of situation it’d turn into. She’d fold her arms and adjust her goggles with a finger. Wondering to herself what to do in this regards. If she was stronger maybe she could do something but right now all she was? Was just a rookie to what felt to a bunch of people that had it better than she did.
”Hmm… I’m not super familiar with building layouts in the human world either. Is there a way I could see the layout or how the wireframe of the place was handled? I can’t seem to see any from here and I won’t lie, that's a little worrying. Are you sure your buildings are stable?”
