So... a complete overhaul of the colossal disappointment that is Kirara Hoshi. So... why not age her up a bit, give her some alternate forms, and a new merc to boot?
Name: Kirara Hoshi
Alias: Neon Star
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Height: 153 cm // 5’0”
Weight: 40 kg // 88 lbs
Alignment: Neutral Good
Birth Date: May 4
Birth Place: Hakone - Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan
Skills/Talents:
Self-Taught Idol Training - Having nothing to do for five years gave Kirara the time and motivation to actually practice things she was passionate about. She’s no incredible talent, but she’s an adequate singer and dancer. She can even do them both at the same time now!
Self-Taught Kung-fu - Having re-watched a single action movie for five years inspired Kirara to train her body up. She won’t be winning any tournaments any time soon, but she can still high-kick an unsuspecting foe.
The Same Optimism - Kirara still retains her childish attitude of “Everything’s gonna work out great!”. Now that she’s put in actual effort to improve herself, this aspect of her has only been strengthened.
Oddly Supportive - Almost instinctively, Kirara can tell when someone is upset or down in the dumps, and she has a tendency to know what to do to help cheer them up. This leads to her not necessarily knowing how to solve all of your problems, but makes her excellent at giving gifts.
Digivice: A glittering, cyan and black D-Tector
Personality:
...A hard worker!? - Despite Kirara’s previous laziness, now she’s quite studious, willing to try new things and put forth actual effort to improve herself. She has an incredible amount of focus for self-improvement.
...An optimal laziness - While Kirara would formerly outright ignore things she never wanted to do, she’s since realized that there are things in life that you have to take care of anyway. So even though it sucks, she tries to take care of the things she hates in the most efficient manner possible so she never has to do them again.
Definitely a people person - Having been stuck alone for five years with a know-it-all Gatchmon created a strong desire for connecting with other people, to the point where Kirara almost never wants to be by herself. She can be quite clingy, unfortunately, due to her time as an unwilling hermit.
Still Stubborn - Once Kirara gets an idea in her head, it’s hard to convince her otherwise. She’s willing to learn from her mistakes, but she always seems to have to learn the hard way.
Shining Beacon of Hope - Kirara has always been fond of, and even jealous at times, of people chasing their dreams. But she remains supportive nonetheless. She’s not someone who will laugh at you when you’re putting your dreams ahead of everything else. And she’ll always do her best to support you in any way she can! Except financially. She’s dirt poor, sadly.
Hello there new best friend! - Kirara has spent a long time around unpleasant company, and she can get a little attached to people who are willing to compliment her. In fact, this vain form of flattery is one of her biggest weaknesses, as she’s a little too desperate to please others sometimes, and she can be easily manipulated as a result.
Appearance: While she’s gotten a bit older, many of Kirara’s aspects have remained the same. She still retains the neutral smile, and she always tries to appear as positive as possible. Her turquoise hair has grown out even longer now, but she still wears it the same way. Her sparkling blue eyes always seem to be charged with a passionate intensity to them. She’s gotten a bit taller, and her legs are longer now. She still likes to wear cutesy, frilly clothes, but her outfit in the Digital World shifts to a “futuristic-idol” design created by Akashi.
FaceClaim: VOCALOID • hatsune miku • Kirara Hoshi
Personal History: Honestly speaking, before Kirara’s introduction to the Digital World, there wasn’t much to her story. She grew up the only child of a happily married couple that perhaps loved their only daughter a little too much. She turned out to be rather spoiled, and even though she wasn’t exactly rotten to the core, she could be a pain for others to deal with. Those with little patience couldn’t tolerate the girl’s incessant need for attention. But one day, while on the computer, Kirara was whisked away to a magical land where all of her dreams could come true! She even met a cute mascot-like character to accompany her by the name ofPatsy Sir Patsalot! It seemed like she was going to have the fulfilling life of excitement and significance that she always dreamed of!
But that wasn’t what happened. A few months after her arrival in the Digital World, Kirara was assaulted by a Digimon far beyond her power level. Defeated and separated from Sir Patsalot, Kirara attempted to use her Digi-port to get to safety, only for her to be discovered and attacked at the last second. Her Digivice was damaged in the attack right before being transported... to parts unknown.
When Kirara awoke, she found herself in a strange part of cyberspace, a limbo caught between the human world and the Digital World. She was completely alone, save for its one resident, A Gatchmon by the name of Akashi. Because he couldn’t tolerate the little girl, he promised to help the little girl return home... or at least get her in a place far away from him.
And... It's been five years since he made that promise. Not five years in our time, but in that strange limbo world of sorts, time passes far too quickly. And in that time, Kirara, the girl who sought attention from everyone around her, took the time to be a bit more introspective. Mostly because her only company was a miserly Digimon who wanted nothing to do with her. So she looked to improve her abilities that she always wanted to improve, if only out of boredom.
And improve she did. It turns out that Akashi was quite a font of information as well, as she learned various facts from the curmudgeonly Digimon. Kirara went from a lazy girl with no talents to a lazy girl who’s learned to develop herself in the most efficient way possible! Sure, she may not be the most talented girl out there, but it’s an improvement, right?
But while Kirara got her wish of being the most talented and cutest girl in the whole wide world, now she just wants to get back to society proper and reconnect with someone - ANYONE - willing to put up with her. Though she might be a little more than surprised that nothing has changed as much as she has!
Spirit Element: Brightness (Light)
Human Spirit Fraction
Species: Cheerlidamon
Appearance: Much more humanoid in appearance. Whether by coincidence or by design, Cheerlidamon has a striking resemblance to Kirara herself. Nearly identical to her appearance in height, build, and hair. Her eyes, however, are large, pure-black orbs that twinkle when light is cast upon them. Covering her chest is a pink sleeveless top that covers her ribcage, with light blue frills surrounding the hems. Her arms are bare, save for long, thin, blue ribbons tied around each upper arm. Her hands can conjure blue pom-poms made of a mystical, sparkling light. Much like her top, she wears a pink, short-pleated skirt with a light blue hem, as well as a matching ribbon tied around the skirt’s waist, the ends of which dangle near the ground. Her feet are covered in what appear to be pink tennis shoes with a blue stripe down the sides, while loose pink socks go up near her knees, tied off at the top by more blue ribbons. The heels of her shoes have a large golden wing emblem engraved onto them, enabling flight. Her hair has grown out to her waist and is tied into pigtails by the same type of ribbons tied around her arms, waist, and legs. Each of her ribbons exude a sparkling aura, and flow about freely as if she could control them. Probably because she can, in fact control them in her full human spirit form.

Digimon Name: Sir Patsalot (Patsy)
Default Form: Patamon
Gender: Female
Alignment: Lawful Good
Skills/Talents:
- Unbreakable moral compass. Well... turns out it's incredibly breakable. Or at least very ignorable.
- Eidetic knowledge of some code of chivalry that only Sir Patsalot knows. Not that she bothers quoting them anymore.
- Can outdrink even Champions and Ultimates under the table. Wouldn't recommend getting into bar fights with them, though it doesn't always stop her.
Personality: Noble and chivalrous, that is was Sir Patsalot would prefer people to remember her by. Someone who stands up for the weak and make the wicked tremble in her very presence. Unfortunately, most of the time this is not the case.
For you see, to call Sir Patsalot stuck-up would be to call water wet. While she understands that every living creature must fight against their demons, so too does she believe in an uncompromising belief that everyone must work towards the greater good. Sometimes the greater good is defending a weak Digimon from a bully, and other times it is lecturing that same weak Digimon for several hours in proper dining etiquette. Her expectations for her peers are great indeed, but they apply to herself as well. No one seems to understand the rules that she claims to live by, yet she remains steadfast in her code of chivalry – whatever that happens to be.
That said, while Sir Patsalot most certainly seems like a joke, she takes her role as a knight very seriously. She defends those she swears to protect with everything she has, and when she fails to protect someone... she doesn't take it very well, as she feels her entire purpose in life is to protect those that need protecting. And if she can't fulfill her purpose in life... what's even the point of being alive?
Personal History: Sir Patsalot would like to believe that she was once a great and loyal knight Digimon, but in fact she has no memory of her past lives. The only thing she knows is that the stories she heard as a Tokomon about chivalrous knights that protected the weaker Digimon seemed to resonate with her, and that she wanted to one day emulate that behavior. So she trained as hard as she could, gaining strength at a “young age” and Digivolved into Patamon. It was there that her those in the Empyrean Skies expected her to learn and become a holy Digimon, yet Sir Patsalot, simply called Patamon at the time, donned her current name and rejected the holy ways, eschewing her future as an angel Digimon in exchange for one of knightly vows and a code of chivalry... whatever those were. She would figure that kind of stuff along the way, as she descended down from the skies to the world below.
And se would soon meet perhaps the most frustrating being she had even known - an annoying little girl by the name of Kirara. She insisted on giving Sir Patsalot a cute nickname, despite the Patamon's protests. And for whatever reason, the two began to travel together. The girl was too weak and helpless to leave alone, after all. It definitely wasn't like Sir Patsalot didn't want to travel alone. Nope. Definitely not that.
But not long after they began to travel together, Kirara and Sir Patsalot were attacked by a powerful enemy. Sir Patsalot was defeated almost immediately, and when she had woken up, Kirara was nowhere to be found. And despite a month of searching, Sir Patsalot couldn't find her. It was like she had disappeared... no... it was like she was no more.
Sir Patsalot had failed to protect someone, despite that being her knightly purpose in life. She wasn't worthy of being a knight anymore! In fact... she wasn't worthy of anything anymore! So now Patsy the Patamon wanders aimlessly throughout the Digital World, living in her wanton vices, in the hopes that something comes along to end her miserable existence. Maybe in her next life she'll do better. Or at the very least... forget this one ever happened.

Digimon Name: Akashi
Default Form: Gatchmon
Gender: Male
Alignment: Neutral
Skills/Talents:
- Eidetic Memory
- Multiple Lifetimes of Accumulated Knowledge
- Also Cheats by having an in-built search engine within his body, connected to some mysterious presence.
Personality: For many, it’s considered a noble quest to forsake your personal life in the pursuit of a greater goal. Such as being a sage that has cast aside their mortal desires for a chance to obtain enlightenment. To those who don’t know Akashi, that’s exactly what he appears to be. But for the few that did happen to know him... they know that’s not even remotely the case. In actuality, Akashi is a curmudgeonly old mon that can’t stand the presence of others. He’s a natural genius with a nigh-unmatched memory and capable of harnessing a database not even he fully understands. Simply put, even if he’s not the strongest Digimon in the world, he sees himself as superior to pretty much everyone and can’t be bothered with any of their mundane trivialities.
But while Akashi may not have the most personal experience in social settings, the fact remains that he’s a genius and is able to pick up on social cues fairly easily. Whether or not he follows them is another matter entirely, as he sometimes believes himself to be above such normal social conventions.
Personal History: From as early on as he could remember, Akashi had always been connected to something greater than himself. He couldn’t control it, but sometimes, he would ponder something and just... suddenly know the answer. For the first couple of lifetimes that he had, this was a treat for him. It made learning things rather easy, as working backwards tended to be much more efficient than building up. He would quickly establish himself to be one of the more astute minds of his generation. Then he would grow older and reformat, yet despite this, he always seemed to retain his memories. Which began to be a bother for him. Not because of his curse of knowledge, but because he always had to deal with the same people every lifetime. And as Akashi began to realize... he hated other people. They always focused on such trivial matters like, “what am I supposed to do with my life?”, or “how do we stop this Digimon from eating my face?” The more he lived, the more he realized that he wanted nothing to do with others. And his goal of knowledge began to become something of an obsession. He had dubbed his little power the “Akashic Record” and sought to understand and harness this ability of his somehow. After all... if he could channel this power to obtain omniscience... well... he had no idea what he wanted to do that power, but it was most certainly a worthy goal, right?
So when his pursuit of knowledge accidentally transported himself to some holed-up section of cyberspace, he was rather pleased that he wouldn’t have to deal with anyone ever again. He spent multiple lifetimes in that little dimension, and though he still felt he hadn’t come close, he felt he was on the verge of some breakthrough. So long as nothing distracted him and forced him to start over, he could-
So naturally, some annoying little human girl came along and ruined everything for him. Thus, Akashi sought to get rid of this little girl for good, so she could be out of his life forever. And most certainly not get accidentally dragged back into society with the little girl!
Funny how things work out. You’d think he’d have seen it coming.

Species: Gatchmon
Appearance:
Attribute: Data
Family/ies: Metal Empire, Nightmare Soldiers
Type: Cyborg
Fighting Style: Akashi uses his intellect to study the opponent, then uses his knowledge to his advantage.
Abilities:
0. [Non-Combat] Akashic Records - At any time the DM or person running the thread wishes, they can have Akashi obtain a piece of knowledge he has no business needing to know, however blurry or nonsensical it seems to be. This can be anything, from the simple answer to a question he never asked, an event that transpired in the past, or a possibility that has yet to occur. Akashi has no way of distinguishing what kind of knowledge he gains, unless it’s outright stated by the granter of knowledge.
1. [Passive] Knowledge is Power - Akashi’s attacks deal 5% more damage for each ability he’s witnessed or managed to collect data on, to a maximum of 50%. 4. [Passive] Cyber Effigy - Akashi can summon a cybernetic effigy vaguely similar in shape and appearance to a humanoid effigy vaguely in the shape of a Cyberdramon at will. This effigy can go out up to 15m away from Akashi, and is linked by a thin strand of data. This being can use all of Akashi’s abilities and passives, and Akashi receives all damage the effigy would receive.
She even met a cute mascot-like character to accompany her by the name of
But that wasn’t what happened.

MERCENARY SECTION

Skills/Talents:

- Multiple Lifetimes of Accumulated Knowledge

Studying makes him a bit slow, so he’s about 10% slower as a result. This ability applies to each individual enemy. Or ally, if he's feeling traitorous that day.
2. [Passive] I’ve Got You Figured Out - Akashi is 5% more likely to defend/evade attacks from targets for each ability of theirs he’s witnessed or managed to collect data on, to a maximum of 50%. Studying makes him a bit slow, so he’s about 10% slower as a result. This ability applies to each individual enemy. Or ally, if he's feeling traitorous that day.
3. [Active] Scan Claw - Akashi strikes out with a single claw attack. Deals basic attack damage, but he’s able to collect data on 1 unknown move from the enemy his level or lower if the attack connects. This ability may not work on NPC’s, as it’s up to the GM to decide if this ability works or not. 0-post cooldown.
This ability allows Akashi to Stand around and study the enemy while his effigy does the fighting. Naturally, if this effigy makes an action, Akashi cannot.
