This won't end well. [Adrian]

Hana and the twins had come to the Network Plains to help train the two brothers to better handle the strain of maintaining their ShadowGrademon form. Said dark knight was currently sitting on the ground meditating while Hana was playing Tetris on her phone.
"Well, at least we have good weather today." Hana said, only to frown as she lost the game of Tetris. "Aw, nuts. And I was doing so well that time."
"It is just a game, Hana, so do not fret over a simple loss." Shadow said, the knight not even opening his eyes or moving an inch as he spoke.
"Yeah, I know. It's still annoying, though." Hana said, as she closed the game and put her phone away. It would probably be a good idea to conserve as much of it's remaining battery life until they got home. "Now I wish I'd brought a book with me."
This earned a chuckle from Shadow as he continued meditating.

While Hana and Shadow were getting their peaceful training time, not too far away a certain trio would be walking down the path in order to get to their own training spot as well. However, they were anything but quiet at the moment.
"I can't believe you sent me back home AGAIN," Luneth the Hackmon yelled at his father Shoutmon as they walked, with Shoutmon's tamer Adrian awkwardly in the middle. "It was a rookie level Digimon, Father, I could've helped in taking it down with you and Adrian."
"That rookie level Digivolved during our fight, Luneth," Shoutmon countered, crossing his arms. "If you were there then something bad could have happened to you. You're not ready to-"
"Ready to what?" Luneth asked, stopping dead in his tracks and stepping in front of his father, looking at him dead in the eyes. "Ready to hold my own? I can hold my own against you just fine when we train, Father. I may be young but I'm not defenseless."
"I just don't want anything to happen to you, Luneth. I'm still new to fathering but I'm not going to let my son go out and have his head ripped off by a Champion, or god forbid an Ultimate level!"
"I'm not stupid, I know when to run."
"And what if you get cornered?"
"Will you two please stop argui-"
"Shut it, Adrian!" Both dragons snapped at the human at the same time, startling him quite a bit. Their argument was definitely pretty intense...

The argument between the two dragons was loud enough that Hana and Shadow could hear it all the way from their location. Upon hearing the shouting, Hana turned to look at the source of the noise, which she could see nearby.
"The heck is going on over there?" Hana asked. The teen got up from where she'd been sitting next to Shadow, and started heading towards the trio in the distance. "I'm gonna go see what's going on over there.
"If you wish, that is your prerogative. Just be careful." Shadow replied. He was really getting into the meditation, and he wasn't goin to let a little background noise wasn't going to ruin it for him.
"Got it!" Hana called back. She ran over to the location of the arguing dragons, and started to introduce herself. "Hello there. I'm Hana, and I'm just wondering if everything's okay over here? I heard shouting, and I wanted to see if there's anything I can do to help."

The arguing just got louder and louder the closer Hana got to the trio, and not just because she was getting closer to the source of it all. All Adrian could do was stand there, looking back and forth between his partner and his partner's son as they went at it like... well, a parent and an angry teenager. If they weren't both such great yellers it wouldn't look out of place in a domestic home.
"I think I get what this is about now. You don't trust me, you don't trust anything I do. It's gotta be YOU who saves the day, just because you can go Mega, isn't it?!"
"You're smart enough to know that's not the truth, Luneth."
"Then tell me the truth already!"
"I'm scared, alright? Scared that you won't leave a battle in one piece. Can you blame me for that? I've seen plenty of people I care about be hurt, and I know how dangerous humans and Digimon can be. I'd have more confidence in you, but you haven't even Digivolved yet. Going against an enemy right now... it's stupid, I say!"
"Rory's joining the 7/71st, Father. Mother and Owen have enough faith in him to let him join a literal army even though he hasn't Digivolved yet. And you won't let me help you and Adrian because of the same bad Digimon you fight against? You're a fucking hypocrite!"
Shoutmon was taken aback; he had never heard Luneth swear as badly as he had just done right now. Shoutmon was about to get even angrier with him before another human came walking up, a teenage girl asking if there was anything she could do to help. Of course, she would get the exact same response that Adrian got:
"Stay out of this!"

The ferocity of the shouting startled Hana so badly that she backed up a few steps and tripped on a rock, causing her to fall onto her back.
*CRUNCH*
Hana paled instantly, scrambling to her feet as she took off her backpack to examine it's contents. As she pulled out the broken pieces of her mother's ocarina, Hana fell to her knees in horror.
"No no no no no no!" Hana whispered, as tears started pouring from her eyes. Her most cherished possession was now ruined, and there was nothing she could do about it.
In the distance, Shadow was snapped out of his meditation upon hearing the crunch sound of the broken ocarina and immediately sprinted towards Hana as fast as his legs would carry him. When he arrived, the first thing that caught his eye was the sight of his partner crying over her broken instrument, with a pair of Dragon Digimon standing nearby. Seeing red and seething with rage, ShadowGrademon charged at the nearest Digimon, a Shoutmon, and moved to strike him with a Dark Palm to the face. Dark Palm: An open-handed strike, charged with dark energy. Medium damage, 2 post cooldown. 0/2

All three of the trio heard the crunch noise when the human girl fell to the ground after the arguing father and son snapped at her. She took off her backpack and opened it up, pulling out what looked like bits and pieces of something. And judging based off the girl's tears, it was something very important to her.
Shoutmon's and Luneth's stomachs both sank when they saw the girl's reaction. They were the ones who yelled at her when she was just trying to help, so it was their fault that... whatever this item used to be, it was in pieces now. There were no words in any language that could possibly make up for what just happened here.
"I... I'm so sorry..." Shoutmon managed to say, though it clearly wasn't enough.
All of a sudden a new figure appeared, a Digimon this time. Shoutmon recognized his shape, it was a Grademon, one of Omni's three knights that hunted him and Adrian down at the beginning. Only this one had armor that was completely black. He seemed to be the girl's partner, as she didn't seem that afraid by him. He saw his partner crying at the broken object and reacted accordingly, smacking Shoutmon directly with an open-palm attack.
The knight's palm colliding with Shoutmon was when time seemingly slowed down for Adrian and Luneth, watching one of their family members be hit with such a powerful attack. Before they knew it Shoutmon had flown many feet away, his impact on the ground creating a giant crater. "SHOUTMON!" Adrian yelled as he ran towards his partner, who had been knocked unconscious by this point.
Meanwhile Luneth nervously stared up at the knight Digimon. It was suddenly clicking why Shoutmon was so afraid of Luneth getting into battle: situations exactly like this one.

Shadow paused briefly as he watched the Shoutmon go flying. The dark knight then turned his head and locked eyes with Luneth. Maintaining a solid visual on the Hackmon, Shadow slowly marched toward the smaller Digimon and drew his swords.
"...Unforgivable." the knight said as he walked, his voice quiet but radiating tranquil fury. "Making Hana cry. Breaking her mother's ocarina, her most cherished possession. What you've done is utterly UNFORGIVABLE! I will make you pay for what you've done! DARK WAVE!"
Shadow swung the sword in his right hand across the air in front of him, sending a wave of dark energy flying straight towards the Hackmon in front of him. It said something that Shadow didn't falter even a bit as he launched the attack, still marching forward at the same steady pace.
Behind Shadow, Hana was so caught up in the sorrow of her ocarina's destruction that she was no longer aware of the chaos that was going on around her. Dark Wave: By slashing a sword through the air, ShadowGrademon sends a wave of dark energy at the foe. 0/1 Dark Palm: 1/2

Luneth's eyes grew wide with fear as the Grademon's eyes locked with the Hackmon's. He started marching towards Luneth, prompting him to start backing up. Then the Grademon began to draw his swords. Luneth had never felt fear like this before. This new sensation was brand new to him, and it was exactly what Shoutmon was trying to avoid having Luneth experience...
The fear that these moments were going to be his last.
Adrian watched from afar as the Grademon approached Luneth. His voice was deep and terrifying. He promised that they were going to pay for breaking the girl's ocarina, who they now knew was named Hana. According to him, that was her mother's ocarina that had been shattered upon her fall. "W-Wait, it was an accident, we didn't know she had an ocarina in her bag!"
"You have to stop, he can't defend himself like you can!"
Their words sadly fell on deaf ears. The Grademon still launched an attack at Luneth anyways, sending a dark energy wave at him by slashing his sword. Thankfully Luneth had enough flight in him to leap out of the attack's destructive path, causing it to hit nothing but the ground. From there he started to run towards Adrian, who was now carrying an unconscious Shoutmon.
Gotta run, gotta run, gotta run, gotta run, GOTTA RUN! Luneth panicked in his own mind as he ran as far away from the dark knight as he could.

Shadow didn't bother to listen to the the paltry excuses of his targets. It didn't matter to the knight whether the ocarina's destruction was an accident or not. They upset Hana, so Shadow had to make them pay for it. That's all there was to it. Although, he would be lying if he said he didn't enjoy seeing the terror on their faces after knocking out the Shoutmon.
It slightly irritated the ShadowGrademon when the Hackmon avoided his Dark Wave and started running away with the human carrying the unconscious Shoutmon, but no matter. It simply meant that the knight would just have to get closer. Instead of maintaining his slow march, the ShadowGrademon took off running after the fleeing trio. His longer stride and natural agility would allow him to catch up to his fleeing targets sooner or later, and he would pursue the for as long as it took to utterly break them. "I won't let you get away, you bastards!"

Damn it, who does this guy think he is?! Adrian thought as he watched Luneth dodge the ShadowGrademon's initial Dark Wave attack, feeling just as afraid as Luneth at this moment. I get that we upset his partner but it was an accident! He doesn't have any right to try and kill us!
Luneth tried to run away, he really tried, but ShadowGrademon was simply faster than he was. He could hear the black knight getting closer and closer to him, meaning his attempts to get away were simply in vain. So many thoughts were going through the Hackmon's head right now, from his memories all the way through to his current thoughts and fears.
I should have listened to you, Father! I just wanted to help you, and now thanks to me that girl's ocarina is destroyed and we're all dead! I'm so sorry, Father, please forgive me...! Suddenly, a memory came to mind... It was a training day for Shoutmon and Luneth. It was a couple days after they had met Mandrake the Wizardmon and Lothar the Leomon, and Shoutmon had to fight that big Super Mega Digimon in order to save them both. Both son and father were currently taking a break, sitting by a nearby tree in their little area of the Digital World drinking some juice. Luneth had something on his mind that he wanted to say to his father.
"Father... were you scared? When fighting that shadow Digimon?"
"Of course I was," the Shoutmon simply responded. "I'm never not scared when fighting someone. Anything could happen in a battle, for better or for worse. But if I don't fight, then even more people and Digimon get hurt, so it's not something I can just run away from."
"Then... how do you overcome the fear?"
Shoutmon thought it over for a bit, wanting to provide a clear and satisfying answer. "To be honest, I really don't know. I just get to a mental state of mind where I tell myself that I just have to push any ideas of fear to the side. Tell myself 'I have to do this. I can't let fear stop me from my goal.' Doesn't just go for battling, I use that kinda thinking for anything I'm afraid of. Plus it helps that I got Adri, and Skye and Rory, and of course you on my mind whenever I do battle." Shoutmon looked right at his son, giving him a very heartwarming smile. "I want to make you all proud of me. It's as simple as that." Luneth stopped dead in his tracks. His eyes no longer that of a scared Digimon. He could hear ShadowGrademon approaching. Good. This was going to end now. Luneth pulled his hood up over his head, turning back around towards the knight, who was now starting to raise his swords. "Hackmon... EVOLUTION!"
A bright light would surround Luneth as ShadowGrademon's swords swung downward. Once the light was gone, in Luneth's place would be what could only be described as a bigger Hackmon, only with swords for his back legs. Said legs were now colliding with Shadow's swords, before Luneth's tail-blade pierced right at the knight for a counter attack. "BaoHackmon!"
Adrian couldn't believe his eyes when he saw this happen. "He... Luneth Digivolved!" Luneth digivolves to BaoHackmon and counters ShadowGrademon's next attack with "Bao Counter"
Moves Bao Counter: Right when a melee attack hits Luneth, he would use his sword legs to block the attack while his tail-blade attacks right back at the enemy at half the strength of the original attack. Cooldown is three posts.
Cooldowns -Bao Counter (0/3)

Shadow chuckled darkly as he closed in on his fleeing targets. Not much longer now. He was slightly surprised when the Hackmon suddenly came to a dead halt, but he quickly brushed his shock aside. If the Hackmon wanted to accept his sentence with dignity, then who was he to deny him that? Shadow could respect that, at least.
As he closed in and swung his swords down, he was briefly blinded by the light of the Hackmon's Digivolution. His eyes widened in shock as the BaoHackmon countered his swords, but he didn't have more than a split second to contemplate this development before Luneth's struck him in the chest. The berserk knight cried out as he stumbled back from the attack. It looked like the dragon had some fight in him after all. "Not bad. Looks like I underestimated you, kid." Shadow admitted, chuckling darkly. "But believe me when say that I won't make that mistake again. It'll take more than a few cheap shots to stop me."

Luneth remained unwavering by the ShadowGrademon's dark words. The newly digivolved BaoHackmon stood tall, facing his opponent right where his eyes would be. "I did not wish to fight you, or hurt your partner. Nonetheless you took the initiative, greatly injuring my father and chasing after us with the sole desire to kill us. Despite your intentions, your actions are no different than a villain's."
Suddenly the BaoHackmon's forehead, his chest, and his front and back legs slowly became encased in a bright orange lava-like substance before hardening into molten rock, providing additional armor to the BaoHackmon. "I will stop you... right here and now!" Once the armor had fully set in Luneth leaped towards ShadowGrademon with the intent of headbutting right into his chest, increasing the damage that the knight would have normally took.
Meanwhile Adrian would look back at Hana from the other side of the field, surely she had to realize what was going on at this point, right? If she and ShadowGrademon really are partners, maybe he'll listen to her and stop trying to kill us. Then another dark thought entered his head.'
Unless she wants us dead as well. Luneth uses "Molten Armor" and headbutts ShadowGrademon in the chest.
Moves Molten Armor: Inherted from SuperShoutmon, Luneth's legs, chest, and forehead become hot and solid, providing more damage/protection. Lasts for two posts, and cooldown is three posts.

Cooldowns -Bao Counter (1/3) -Molten Armor (0/3)

The sounds coming from Luneth and Shadow's battle finally managed to snap Hana out of her stupor. She looked around the area as she got to her feet, and immediately started running towards the dueling Champion-level Digimon.
Back with Luneth and Shadow, the dark knight merely scoffed at Luneth's words. "Tch. Villainous or not, it doesn't really matter. I will make anyone who hurts Hana bleed for it. THAT is my vow, and my sole purpose for existing! I won't let you get in my way!"
When Luneth activated his molten Armor and moved to headbutt Shadow, the knight evaded the attack by leaping over the BaoHackmon. Upon landing behind Luneth, Shadow started to swing his sword to unleash a Cross-
"STOP!"
The ShadowGrademon immediately came to a halt mid-swing, the gathered energy for his attack quickly dissipating. Shadow turned towards the source of the voice, only to see the horrified look of his Tamer staring back at him. Her reaction actually caused the purple knight to recoil backwards a bit in shock.
"Why? Why are you doing this, Shadow?" Hana asked the knight.
"Hana, I-" Shadow started. He moved towards Hana, but she quickly backed away from him. She's... afraid of me?

"Anyone who hurts your partner will bleed? Does that account for those who did not mean to cause any harm like myself and my father? Do we deserve to die because of bad luck?! I believe you need to re-evaluate your beliefs!"
Unfortunately the ShadowGreymon simply leaped over Luneth's headbutt attack, and was clearly about to prepare a counterattack in return. Luneth tried to turn around as fast as he possibly could, but by the time he was able to face ShadowGrademon, the knight's swords were-
And just like that Hana's voice rang through the ears of everyone in the area, causing ShadowGrademon to stop his attack mid-swing. Luneth also turned towards Hana, and he got a close-up look of her own horrified face. This reaction was enough to even make the knight Digimon waver, as Hana asked why he was doing this. She was clearly scared of him, and Shadow... well, he had no words.
"Hana, was it?" Luneth asked, looking towards the human. "The only reason Shadow acted was because it technically was our fault that your ocarina was broken. For that, I am truly sorry... I know that you probably cannot forgive us. I do not condone Shadow's actions, but I do know that he was thinking about you and how upset you were."
It was then that Shoutmon's eyes slowly opened as he began to regain consciousness. "Ungh... Adri? What happened?"
"Shoutmon!" Adrian gasped, hugging the red dragon close to him. "Thank god you're alright!"
"D-Did you have any doubt...?" Shoutmon asked with a smirk, he was definitely alright. Once the hug ended and Shoutmon was put back down, he started to look around. "Wait... where's Luneth?"
Adrian pointed over to Luneth's location. When Shoutmon looked that way, his eyes widened; Luneth had digivolved! His son had finally digivolved! The amount of happiness mixed in with slight regret that he was feeling was immeasurable at this moment.
I gotta remember to apologize to him later... Active Effects -Molten Armor (1/2)

"My ocarina? That was just an accident. I never blamed you for breaking it. If anything, I blame myself for being too careless with it." Hana explained, and Shadow flinched from her words. She glared at Shadow before continuing. "But that does not excuse what Shadow tried to do to you guys. Trying to kill people over a misunderstanding? That kind of bullshit is not okay! If that's the kind of monster you're going to be, Shadow, then I don't want anything to do with you!"
Shadow visibly recoiled at Hana's harsh words, before the knight lowered his head in shame and sheathed his swords. He took a moment to stare at his own trembling hands, as the full realization of what he'd done cleared away the last traces of the fog of rage from his head. "What... have I done?"
Hana walked over to Luneth and bowed deeply in apology. "If anything, I should be apologizing to you. What he did is utterly inexcusable, even if I understand why he did it. That kind of behavior will not be tolerated in the future."
Utterly ashamed and horrified by his own actions, Shadow felt that their was only one suitable punishment for his transgression. Lowering himself to his knees, the knight drew one of his swords and gripped it with both hands as he prepared to stab himself with it.
