Failure.
Abject failure. It was everywhere and for once in skalds life he had felt that it was far far away from him. But no. It was a creeping sensation that reared it’s ugly head. The harshness of it all and the rudeness took him by surprise. Spreading his people to the winds and making it impossible to really reliably stay where he was. Sure herald’s newspaper was fine and it was stable as hell given it was a legitimate business but… His bar? Less so. It had deep dark connections that eventually were exploited and once that well was gone?
He was left out on the street. The clothes on his back being really all that he owned. The foreclosed sign staring acusingly to him. Everything would be auctioned at a later date to pay off the place and he’d be left with nothing but his name and the failure that he was. Holding his head in his hands the renamon-x stared down at the ground; gritting his teeth ever so slightly.
He was a fool to think that his group would be able to survive just nursing like this; without taking any leaps and bounds. What was that about the other groups in the world? Fierce burning bonfires that wouldn’t be doused by anything due to their strong core? He wasn’t even able to get past the first few months once he started to walk.
A small exhalation and the renamon hung his head; squeezing his eyes shut and resting his head in his hands. He could start over somewhere else; maybe whitewater would be a more approachable location? He did have skills and talents that not many had. Hell maybe even rustport. They were good at collecting unwanted things.
Though with that last part he’d snort a bit, rubbing at his face with his hands again as he could feel herald behind him. Her silence was deafening and she’d sit next to him. She knew that he didn’t feel like being touched right now but that didn’t much matter. An arm went around his shoulders and a small squeeze followed suit.
”I know it sucks. But at least we have a few places we can crash for the time being. I got some of your stuff out of there into my apartment ‘cross town. I’ve got a few things to work over but till then you’ll be left be all right?”
Skald sighed a bit and leaned against his sister who in a rare act of surprise gave her brother a firm hug. Standing up and giving him a small smile as he just sat there; quietly musing. He was the sort that you couldn’t knock down no matter what. But this was a harsh blow; they nearly lost everything…
”Just don’t be too hard on yourself yeah?”
Skald weakly smiled up at his sister and just went back to looking down at the street. It’d take him some time to think; time to heal. Time to figure out what he could do regarding all of this. The low clicking of his sister’s hooves being the only sound on the street for a moment… before he was left in the darkness and silence.
"Really thought I could do it this time..."

That was how the world was.
Skald might have thought he was making some headway, making some progress towards his sense of justice - but in reality, perhaps all he was doing was painting a large target on his back. His dream called forth all sorts of ne'er d-wells, and with the pressure of the city above and from those stealing right under his nose, it was honestly a surprise that the tavern lasted even this long.
Once more, Skald was alone, his 'sister' perhaps the only one left at his side. Well, his sister, and the one hand he refused to take earlier.
Dr. Mikemon didn't make the most grandiose appearance. In fact, the cloaked feline might have blended in with the rest of the city traffic from the other side of the street, but from the corner of his eye, he saw it: the shuttered business, and the black-furred Renamon sitting right out front of it. The doctor wasn't surprised, of course - after seeing the building up for sale in Terminus' paper, the Mikemon made it a point to come along and check things out. And despite everything, what the doctor saw brought a pang to his heart:
K's son, left in shambles, gripped at his head in desperation. Mikemon knew that Skald wanted nothing to do with him, but despite that? He'd bite his lip, give a sigh, and make his way right across the street, right in front of that foreclosed building. Right past Herald, he'd sit down right next to the Renamon, looking at him right from the corner of his eye.
"... Skald." The doctor led with that simple introduction, giving a small nod to the Renamon. "... I know you don't want to hear it from me, but you're only as 'alone' as you make yourself. And as you are right now, I can't just let you piss the rest of your life away."
He gave a moment of silence, enough for the cat to take a small breath, and say the next simple words:
"Come home with me, son.We have a lot to catch up on."

Skald wasn’t sure what he was going to do, maybe he could just try to watch things for a while? Try to figure things out? He had people he could rely on. Sure gertrude, barbus and hunter were all in hiding or captured. While avali and Veronica were off in another city. Far away from this issue; they wouldn’t even know until they returned here. He had hoped that they would come back and he’d be able to tell them about what progress they made. But now they were on the backfoot. Only able to leave a simple message of where they needed to go in the paper.
He was deep in thought when mikemon sat down next to him and he’d jolt a bit at hearing the other talk. He recognized that voice and with a scowl he’d glance at the mikemon. He hadn’t expected him to show up out of all people. He’d exhale a bit and shake his head; return that nod with an irritated ear flick.
”Mikemon. I’m not pissing my life away. I… I’ve merely only had the rug swept out from under my feet. Nothing I can’t get back up from.”
Skald’s words felt hollow and he’d bite his inner cheek looking like he didn’t even believe a word he said. His shoulders sagged and he winced a bit at being called ‘son’ of all things. A lot of things to catch up on? What on earth? But the renamon-x’s eyes flicked up and he could see herald staring back at him; worry on her face and he could feel his core catch in his throat.
”Tch… is what I’d like to say but I can’t exactly admit that things have been playing out too well. For a while we had headway, for a while people listened. And then they started not to. My option started to make less sense to them. Even those that worked with me wondered what else we could do.”
He’d grumble a bit and rest his knees on his legs; propping up his head on his hands, staring grumpily out at people that walked past. His eyes eventually slid to the mikemon while wondering to himself… what he was supposed to say.
”I can’t even really say that things would work out there either. Why should I come ‘home’ with you? I’ve done nothing to earn your compassion or even your familial ties. All I’ve got is what I’ve worked for; even if that’s just the clothes on my back at this point.”
That last part was said with a soft sigh and the renamon rubbed at his face; he couldn’t help but feel like the world was trying to figure out what to do with him at this point...
"I'm not a good person mikemon and I don't think I'll ever be. So why try so hard? Why does it matter to you what I do?"

Of course Skald wouldn't be so accepting of it - not a single bit of it.
Mikemon knew that from the start, but he also saw this for what it was. Skald was someone so hurt, so 'out of touch' with the rest of the world that he was standing right on the edge of ruin. And given the Renamon's origin as part of that accursed book, mixed with K's data, Skald could very easily go down a dark path, one that put him even further at odds with the world. To reject Skald now, to allow him to continue on the path he was on, may very well lead to disaster.
"This city means a lot of different things to a lot of different people, Skald. And your way of changing it didn't allow your voice to reach any of their ears." The doctor sighed. "I hate to say it, but I knew that it was going to turn out like this. And I knew that I was going to have to come back at some point and extend you my arm again."
As for the words that came next? The cat shook his head.
"You don't 'earn' a family, Skald. Your blood and ambition come from my late wife, and from the book of that accursed caster that led to her demise. And despite that latter fact, when I look at you, I still see the drive and courage that she held onto the bitter end." That last remark made the feline's ear give a flick, a 'tch' escaping through his fangs.
"'Not a good person'? 'I don't think I'll ever be'?" The doctor shook his head. "I don't want to hear it. If you truly believed that, you wouldn't have bothered to try what you did in the first place - nor would you have such a devoted follower as her." Mikemon tilted his head back towards Herald, before returning his attention to the Renamon.
"I know what it is. You think if you accept my offer, that's the same as giving up on your dream, on your goals. But all I'm doing is giving you a fresh start. A chance to step back, and really think about what's important to you in all of this."
The doctor turned, and looked Skald eye to eye.
"What kind of father would I be if I just left you here to wither away?"

Skald was hurting and trying to make it seem like he wasn’t; he was trying to focus on the problems he could solve but all of them were wild and out of sorts. Things he couldn’t touch and feeling that he was increasingly alone didn’t help this. He knew very little about his heritage; very little about his mother and very little about his father. Even less about mikemon. The renamon-x stared quietly at the ground and rubbed at his face slowly.
”I had to try even if I knew it’d fail. I had to try to do something. Even if it was doomed to fail.”
The renamon bitterly bit his lip as the mikemon told him that he had come out here to offer his arm again. That he didn’t earn a family; that his blood and ambition came from their late wife. The renamon-x didn’t know what to say to that. He’d stare at the mikemon quietly.
”Everything I’ve ever done and everything I’ve ever had was from me working towards it I... ”
He’d hesitate and close his eyes; trying to process the information here and just failing greatly. He needed time to get his thoughts together but it wasn’t happening. He’d rub at his face again and groan quietly.
”I wouldn’t really call her a follower at this point. More like the one of us that has her shit together.”
He’d grumble quietly and watch his sister still walking down the street, she’d eventually turn the corner and just vanish from his minds eye. He’d close his eyes and sigh softly. Hearing what mikemon had to say just… made it ring even more true.
”Yeah. You’re not wrong. But… I.”
Skald looked back at what had amounted to his home; actual worry spreading on his face. He was sad to see the place go and having mikemon meet his eyes… and say that the renamon-x groaned a bit. His tail flicking in agitation this way and that.
”...I don’t even know what kind of father you are. Or what kind of mother she was. I don’t know anything about you other than the found family I managed to get.”

"And I had to watch you fail. Because if you didn't try, you wouldn't have ever left."
The tone Mikemon gave with those words was direct, but calm, not judging Skald in the slightest. In fact, there was something admirable about a 'mon who would stick so hard to his goals, his dream, even if there wasn't a clear way forward. Right now, the Renamon-X was falling apart, but that was really only evidence of the size of his heart.
A heart that needed guidance. Giving a small smirk at Skald's description of Herald, the cat would continue to listen to what Skald had to say. That he didn't know what kind of father he was, or what kind of mother K was. To that, the doctor had to mull his thoughts:
"... Your mother, well. She was the type who wouldn't give up on anyone. And who would do whatever it took to see herself through to the end. Who would take on anyone who tried to mess with the world she loved, despite the cost to herself. Honestly, you're a lot more like her than me. As for myself?"
"Well, I'm one who came from a very dark place. Who spent a large part of their life hiding who they were because they thought they knew better than everyone else around them... until I met K. Until I was no longer afraid to open my heart to more than two or three other people. So Skald."
The doctor looked to the Renamon-X, eye-to-eye. "Before the underbelly of this city gets to you and your sister, or before the city itself finds out who you made connections with - take my hand." The cat stretched out his paw towards the hurt fox. "Once you're back on your feet, I promise things will look clearer."

”You’re not the only one who had to watch me fail. I failed a lot of people because of this. Gertrude. Barbus. Hunter. Tch… The first one stings the most.”
The renamon-x mumbled a bit and set his head in his hands; she would be a pain to get back and she would fight tooth and nail against those that kept her but she was just a mere rookie right now. Against the might of others that simply could not compare. Even if he was financially stable getting her out of that bind would put him in the red. Or beyond it.
He’d stay quiet and listen to what the mikemon had to say. About his mother. He’d flick his ears and turn to stare at him. She was that type of person huh? It made sense where his drive came from and… well how much he shared in terms of similarities. He’d bite his lip and hearing that the other had been in a dark place but spent most of it thinking that he knew better made the renamon-x snort.
K.
A name he had heard whispered in his bar; a hero of the people. Fighting for the digital world even until her last breath. And further beyond it seemed as her second iteration was quickly approaching the same place. He’d bite his lower lip; he didn’t… realize it till now that’s who he came from proper. He was so mad before he brushed that information away.
”...She was my mother I…”
Skald looked flabbergasted and hearing that the other wanted him to take his hand, to go and see what the world looked like. He could feel the confusion of herald in his head and the confusion he held close to his heart. He’d place a hand on his head; frowning slowly as the wash of information sort of clicked one after the other.
”I… get that I’m the book or… the data from the book. But I didn’t… It didn’t quite click for me that’s who she was.”
Maybe it was just something he did to sort of make himself safe; to sort of avoid people comparing her to him. He’d look down to the hand; uncertainty flashing on his features. He’d grit his teeth just a bit and he was about to smack the hand away but….
He’d hang his head and just sigh; reaching out to take the hand. Tug him, have him stand; whatever he needed to do. He’d sigh slowly and just shake his head a few times.
”...I don’t know how this is going to go.”

Mikemon knew that Skald was hurt.
Despite the olive branch and the offer extended, even if Skald didn't have reservations against it, the Renamon-X was going to have to leave everything he knew behind, and start from the ground up with 'nothing' to his name. With this fact in mind, it was clear that Skald needed the doctor's help, but it was also clear that Skald didn't exactly want to take it.
And there was still so much he didn't know. What kind of home would he be moving into? What would be expected of him? How long would the arrangement be for? All of these questions hung in the air, even as it 'clicked' in Skald's head just who his mother was.
"... Well. We all come from data of past Digimon. No-one would expect you to know."
Leaving it at that, the doctor gave a blink as Skald's hand rested in his own. Feeling that grip, the doctor would give a small pull to help Skald stand, before reaching into his glove to pull out a D-Terminal.
He paused, for a moment, and looked to the corner that Herald turned around.
"Right. Call your 'other half', Skald." The doctor gave a small nod. "Two parts of the same core, right? She'll need to know where you are, at least."

Skald didn’t know what else to do at this moment; he was hurting and he was just as lost as anyone else in the world. He was exhausted; tired and needed to collect himself. But it’s not like the digital world would let him in the way he was going about things. He’d bite his lower lip and exhale softly.
”Honestly I thought my parents were just nobodies that didn’t even want to come and find me… so it’s a bit surprising to hear I’m connected to her.”
He had heard tales of her exploits among the other hero’s and key members of this world. So many names to keep track of and so little similarities between the two of them at least… that’s what he thought. The renamon-x’s shoulders were still sagging even as he was pulled to stand. Frowning just a bit as mikemon asked him to call his other half.
”Oh if you only knew… I bet she expected this”
Skald would sigh and roll his eyes, fully knowing that herald was just walking in a loop. Turning the other way and folding his arms as the red goat came around the opposite corner. His face in a scowl for a few moments before just shaking his head.
”Oh c’mon I wasn’t gonna go anywhere not with that data signal sneaking around. How’s it goin Doc?”
Unlike skald, herald seemed to be genuinely friendly and if not that she was at least able to put on quite the cheerful grin. Shifting and squatting down; her tail shifting around so that her balance wasn’t all mussed up.
”I got some things to take care of here. Where you two off to?”
”I presume to… ‘home’.”
”Hmm. Maybe I should come along then. Get to see the drapes, what sort of furniture to buy.”
”Herald…”
”What! I’m serious. Can’t have one room look vastly different than the others if you’re gonna be staying there long term. And what? I bet they already have everything they need but I can’t help but be curious.”
Herald laughed a bit and grinned down at the mikemon; skald rolling his eyes as he was dragged into a one armed hug from the goat.
”I’m mostly jokin with em; the two of you need some time n space. And I bet wherever you’re goin wouldn’t appreciate a big goat lady like me. At least without some warning. People get skittish round me when they aren’t used to me.”
”Might be a good idea yeah…”
Skald mumbled a little bit and pushed herald away from him; herald feigning being hurt and even so mufch as dramatically flopping her ears down. Though they’d perk right back up and she’d give the doctor a wink.
”Ain’t hard to find my number in the pages; give me a call if you two need anything yeah?”

"Nope... like many other Digimon, your 'parents' are simply your deceased ancestors."
It was a bit grave of a statement, sure, but for Digimon it was simply a way of life. Past that, he'd managed to get Skald to stand, and the aforementioned 'other half' wasn't far behind. Rounding her way back around the block, the doctor found his ear flicking at her initial comment. "Mm, I usually keep that hidden. Perceptive, aren't ya?" Chuckling, he let the two have their moment, Herald's teasing quickly putting Skald on the back foot.
She joked about coming along, but ultimately, it sounded like she was going to stand back and 'let things play out'. "... I'd love to say that's not the case, but yeah, Snowflake's definitely not as 'progressive' as Terminus is. Especially for actual demon types." The doctor gave a sigh, and after a few moments, would produce a torn sheet of paper, folded in half, with his address written on it in Digital Script.
"So you know where to find us. For now?" Finally activating that D-Terminal, a portal would open to Mikemon's right, the doctor giving a small tilt of the head for the Renamon-X to lead the way. And as he stepped through... ... Well, he'd find the other end a fair bit colder than Terminus.
It wasn't too bad, though: inside that mountain cabin, Mikemon would take a moment to turn on the lights, and lead the way towards the back and to the left, opening a door for the fox.
"Syre's old room, before she moved out." Name aside, it was a simple explanation - and explained the rather barren state of the room. An empty shelf, a desk, and a simple bed made up the majority of the room - definitely enough for Skald to settle in, but perhaps a bit 'sterile' in presentation. "Sorry if its a bit dreary - sorta something my wife and I threw together in the last day or two. And I should also warn you this place can get a bit loud - aside from you, five of us live here, and two more come to visit a fair bit."
With that, the doctor would give a nod. "We can discuss what you want to do going forward once you've had a bit to clear your head. Don't want to rush you, but I don't think I'd be doing the right thing if I just let you sit on your hands too long, you know?"
He'd chuckle at that last part.

”My ancestors being… a hero and… A book?”
Skald tilted his head to one side; raising a brow just a little bit. His arms were crossed but he didn’t seem mad; just confused. It wasn’t a surprise that herald knew all the little bits and pieces to push when it came to skald. But she did it in a very sibling esq sort of way. She’d give mikemon a big grin and even would wink at the doctor.
”Ohhh in my long career of staying alive you have to be perceptive Doc~ Or maybe I should start calling you father or pops now too?”
She’d shoot a playful teasing look to the doctor before nodding her head; she knew how snowflake could be. Lord knows it was hard enough to get a newspaper branch up there if you didn’t use robots or rock types!
”Oh I know I know, it’s… I’ve been there before. Yeaaaaars ago. Got chased out cause my ultimate and champion form were a bit too… ‘scary’ as it were.”
Herald would take the sheet of paper; reading over the address and popping her brows up. If memory served… that was right near the edge of town wasn’t it? She’d put it away in her jacket and nod her head.
”That I do! See you two around~”
Skald would get a full hug from his sister; leaving the renamon-x looking a bit out of sorts as he returned it with a single arm. Grimacing just a bit as she squeezed too hard before padding away. Skald sighed a bit and turned to look at his father.
”...Well… at least she knows.”
Stepping through the portal skald wasn’t sure what he was going to find…
But it certainly wasn’t the biting cold. He’d pause a bit and rub at one of his arms; his fur wasn’t as thick as coals or silences or even holly’s… but. It seemed to do well enough to ward off the approaching cold. He’d stare around for a moment or two before padding after mikemon. His eyes taking in every little thing and his eyes looked like he was mid processing what he was seeing. Like sizing it up for one reason or another.
Standing in the door he’d stare out in there and rub at his head a bit. Hearing that the mikemon and his wife… which was definitely not k since she was dead. Had set up this room for him. He’d bite his lip at hearing that five people lived here as well as two others visiting.
”Quite a large family… It looks a bit more different on paper.”
The renamon-x would walk in, looking around while trailing his finger along the desk. Eventually reaching the bed and taking a seat, bouncing ever so slightly from his ‘weight’. The renamon-x was far lighter than any of his cousins and even mikemon would have likely noticed that beforehand. He’d exhale a bit and look down at his hands.
”...A normal life wasn’t something I ever anticipated having so I never really gave it much thought. Always planning and trying to figure out the next step really. Some sleep and time alone might help a bit. But first… where is the shower?”
Skald flicked his ears and looked up to mikemon; this outfit was starting to feel a little scratchy honestly since he hadn’t been able to wash it since the prior night. Then again maybe it was just cause he had sat outside in the rain for a little bit too long...

'A book and a hero'. Honestly, the entire premise would have sounded outlandish to most, but that was the truth of the matter.
It didn't take the two long to reach that wayward cabin, nor for Skald to find his new room. Despite its empty appearance, the Black Renamon-X seemed to take to it rather quickly, taking the chance to get right off of his feet. "I'll introduce you to them soon enough. Right now, everyone's either out in town or a bit further. If I had to guess, Stingmon or Silence would be back the soonest..."
Mulling that thought over, the feline's ear flicked at Skald's next comment. A shower? "Mm? Oh, right. When you walk out, its the third door on the left. We have other foxes living here, so there should already be usable conditioner." Mikemon gave a nod, taking the moment to stretch an arm up and stifle a yawn.
"Right... I'll be in my office if you need me, I need to catch up on some paperwork. There's a laundry basket just outside the shower if you need your clothes cleaned, and you can borrow a cloak in the meantime. Kitchen's also open to you... um, let's see, what else..."
The doctor was half-playing this off the cuff! "Mm... the Stingmon and the Shutmon know you're supposed to be here, but I haven't had a chance to brief anyone else, so just be aware of that if you run into anyone else here before I do. All sound good?"

It was the strangest thing to think about; how he came literally right from some pages and a tale about one of the stronger individuals that the digital world had seen in the more recent years. He’d bite his lower lip; staring down at his hands once again. He had never thought himself to be anything like that; just some nobody that warranted a lot of tough days ahead of him. He’d exhale a little bit at hearing that there weren’t really anyone here at the moment. Only this ‘stingmon’ and ‘silence’. Was one his wife? One of the daughters? Another son? He didn’t know.
”I imagine that they’ll be quite thrilled to see me…”
Skald didn’t sound the least bit sarcastic; he actually seemed a bit genuine if not a touch concerned. He’d tilt his head a bit and nod his head at hearing that there was well… other foxes. Made sense given what his mother used to be right?
”Hopefully it’s not the stuff that’s heavy on the oils.”
The renamon mulled this over; the only reason he avoided stuff like that is cause it smelled a bit weird when applied to him. The renamon flicked his ears and stood up; wondering quietly to himself if this was the wisest idea. But… hearing that the kitchen was open to him and that he could borrow a cloak? The renamon snorted.
”I think I should be fine. Don’t suppose there’s a loose shirt or something? Cloaks aren’t exactly my… style? I’m very much so not used to them.”
That and he wasn’t even sure if they had any in his proper size; he’d adjust his cuffs a bit so he would be ready to take them off when going to the shower. He’d raise a brow and nod his head ever so slowly.
”Certainly. I just hope for my sake that they don’t think I’m a threat or something… lord knows what they could do to me especially when I’m still trying to stand up on my own two legs.”
Skald let out a small snort and gave his father a little wave; more of a thanks before stepping by him. Fussing with his sleeves as he went to the shower. It would be a few moments before his fur was bare… as were the host of scars that he kept fairly well hidden. Most of them were small… save for one that ran straight down from his collar almost all the way to his waistline.
He’d toss the shirt into the hamper and sigh, leaning up against the glass of the shower for a few moments.
”Never easy is it?”

"If you use the blue bottle, you should be fine on that front."
The 'blue bottle' in question was Mikemon's own conditioner, as he couldn't afford to use anything 'smelly' while working with his patients, or he'd risk setting something off. As for the second point, Mikemon gave a blink, and looked once more over the dressed-up Renamon.
"Afraid not." On that point, he looked down at his own fur. "Aside from Silence - a Shutmon in full armor - most of us are only wearing gloves as it is."
Still, that was something simple enough to put on the shopping list. As for Skald being a threat, Mikemon gave a hand gesture, waiving it off. "It'll be fine. For now, just do what you need to settle in."
With that, Mikemon would leave Skald to himself for the time being. The Renamon would have ample time to wash up, and when he would make his way out, Skald would find a red cloak hung right outside the door. The cat wouldn't go out of his way to bother Skald, but if the Renamon came to the living area, he'd see Mikemon scribbling away at a professional-looking notepad - with Stingmon looking on from over the shoulder.
"Looks like we're going to finally be at the end of that Biyomon's treatment..." Mikemon tapped his pencil against his notes.
"Right, the one involved in the curse-ring scam? Whatever became of that?"
"Who knows? The vampire that caused it all closed up shop and slipped underground the moment the lead was blown. Not my profession, either." The doctor leaned back, taking a moment to finally just take a breath after this long day. "Just glad he finally came home..."
He sighed, leaned forward, and pinched his sinus. "... The one egg we miss, and its her data. God, I feel like shit..."

”Blue? All right.”
Skald didn’t particularly like anything in the way of smelling good like that, he preferred a simple brisk smell that would work well in just creating an even vibe for those that he worked with. He’d sigh a bit at hearing about silence being a shutmon in full armor. That was not something he expected to hear; didn’t shutmons normally wear just mostly leather?
”...Silence being your wife I presume? Unless one of your other children took to wearing a lot of armor…”
Skald rubbed at his neck hearing that it would be fine; he worried about it a little bit but simply just nodded. His shower wouldn’t last too long; maybe fifteen minutes at best. Seeing the red cloak hung right outside of the door, skald sighed a bit and put it on. It felt like it belonged to someone else; but he wouldn’t argue with it. He’d slowly blink seeing a stingmon. Though with the two of them talking he wouldn’t interrupt at all; simply standing there and freezing hearing his ‘father’ talk about how they missed his egg. He’d grit his teeth and step quietly past; pausing as he got to the kitchen entry…
”...I sometimes wonder how you could have known. What were you all even doing at that point?”
His voice was somewhat even; more curious than anything. He’d brush off the whole biyomon thing figuring that he best not get into the various little patient bits that the mikemon had to deal with. Skald’s query may have been directed at mikemon but his eyes were curiously on the stingmon.
Sure he had seen plenty of stingmon from time to time but… didn’t this one feel a bit familiar?
”...Have I met you somewhere before?”
