It wasn’t even that difficult for her to be there; vander tower was a hop skip and less than a jump away from where rosewood was built. The original leader of the knights had been very firm about it’s placement and no one was going to argue with her. Hell not like they could now at least.
But that still didn’t affect how the knights treated rosewood; a place to be protected and nurtured throughout the years. They may have had their own guard or their own forces but the knights would forever be a presence here regardless of their numbers. So seeing the white shutmon standing in the middle of townsquare; hands on her hips and fully clad in armor head to toe wasn’t exactly an odd appearance to most there.
In fact it was a cause for many to give her greetings or talk to her like it was just a normal day; many asking what she was here for and she’d always give the same reply. Knight business or something along those lines. Eventually she’d get bored and sit down; twiddling her thumbs and still keeping that huge grin on her face.
They weren’t going to fight here nono; but they were going to meet up here to figure out where they would fight. If it was low powered enough the shutmon might just go for fighting in town square; give everyone a show to relax to. Lord knows that those in the city needed it. If the other was up for it at least. She wasn’t going to push that on someone that wasn’t flashy or wanted something else.
”Showing up early sucks sometimes jeez.”
The shutmon snorted a bit and ran a claw along her armor; tracing it’s edge and wondering quietly to herself just how powerful this other person was. If they’d want to fight in broad daylight and being watched by dozens of people…
Or if they’d prefer somewhere a bit quieter; with less people. Maybe the training grounds? Hell even the arena in vander tower would suffice. Her daughter would be there of course but hat was just something to expect when silence was out and about.

"You ready for this, Hawkeye?" Kaya asked her Hawkmon partner as they walked through Rosewood to meet up with Silence, the leader of the Knights of the Rose.
"I believe so," he replied as light green energy momentarily surged through his wings. The two had been planning to join the group for a while now, back when Hawkeye still fought with archery. However, complications arose involving Hawkeye's sudden power-up and ability shift, causing the initiation with the Knights to be put on hold for quite a while. Now that Hawkeye was fully able to fight again though, they decided it was time to go through with it. "I've been training non-stop to be able to fight again like this, so I should be able to hold my own."
"I think it's cool your powers kinda got upgraded," Kaya said. "No chance of running out of arrows since your feathers grow back almost immediately after you shoot them. It wasn't like you couldn't aim or anything!"
"No, but my charged feathers kept exploding before I even shot them," Hawkeye grumbled, remembering the embarrassing and painful moments during his training.
"Oh yeah, I remember that... you looked funny with an afro after your fire feather blew up!"
"Don't remind me," Hawkeye grumbled as he sweatdropped.
Eventually the two ended up in the town square, and it didn't take long for them to find Silence. It wasn't hard since she was the only Shutmon in the area, and dressed top to bottom in armor on top of that. MAN, she looked intimidating! Well... intimidating to Kaya, at least. Hawkeye had seen scarier, like that ExD Flymon. So he would be the one to take initiative. "I believe you must be Silence. I am Hawkeye and this is my partner Kaya, the ones who messaged you about applying for the Knights. You wanted to discuss where to fight, yes? We could go to the Spartan Training Grounds, but I assume that Vander Tower has an area of its own?"
Meanwhile Kaya would look hecking nervous as she stared at the scary knight that her partner was talking to. She never thought she could get this nervous from just meeting someone, but there you go.

While solo mons were a little more common in rosewood; the distinct lack of tamers and humans made it abundantly clear [at least to her] of whom she was looking at before they even approached her. It wasn’t hard to gather what hawkeye was or what the human next to him was either. She’d manage a huge grin; slowly standing up. She practically dwarfed the duo, even if they stood ontop of one another the shutmon was just that damn big. She’d quirk a brow and tilt her head to one side.
”Yup that’s me. Vander tower has it’s own arena that’s private; large powerful shields so we can go all out and… the only person that would be watching would be Garlond. He’s the butler. Pretty sure you talked to him already.”
Silence would wave her hand rather dismissively at that last part; musing over the idea of fighting the hawkmon in front of her. If she had to guess he was probably some kind of ranged fighter. Most birds were because of their brittle bones. She’d crack her neck and stare down at the two.
”The grounds are nice and all, but I think the both of us really should cut loose. What level were you capable of again?”
As to punctuate this silence would lean forward, sniffing at the air. Was she testing to see what level they were capable of? Or getting a handle on their scent? She was a wolf after all! The large wolf set a hand on her hip and dug around in one of her pockets. Eventually pulling out a small remote looking thing.
”That and I’ve got a portal to base right here. So less walkin and more fightin.”
With a click the portal would open up behind her; the shutmon jerking a thumb towards it after a few seconds.
”Oh and don’t worry if you break anything. Garlond is good about fixing people and buildings. Though fat chance with that barrier I guess...”
The shutmon huffed a little bit and turned on her heel; discussion or not it seemed like she had already picked out the arena to be where they would be fighting. Less gawking that way and she seriously was considering what to do about this fight. Or how she would approach. Equal him out on range? Or maybe show why she was considered a good swordsmon?

Well... Hawkeye wasn't intimidated by Silence until she stood up. Once she did, his facial expression would pretty much match Kaya's at this moment. Holy frick, she was TALL. She was probably twice as tall as Kaya and Hawkeye combined! What stopped them from feeling full-on fear of Silence was one, their past experiences and two, the way she was grinning at the duo when they spoke to her.
She would confirm that she was indeed Silence, and say that Vander Tower had its own private arena with powerful shields designed for going all out. She also commented that the only other person watching would be her butler, Garlond. "Y-Yes, I believe we spoke to him through Tamernet when we applied." The nervousness was even apparent in his voice now. Hawkeye felt like he needed to pull himself together.
Silence then asked what level the two of them were capable of reaching. "Hawkeye's able to reach the Ultimate level right now," Kaya said, trying to just ignore the way Silence was sniffing like that, "but we've been training and I'm sure he's super close to reaching Mega at some point! Just... maybe not anytime soon."
Silence then pulled out a remote and opened up a portal that went directly to Vander Tower, in order for "less walking and more fighting," in Silence's words. "Well... that's handy," Hawkeye commented, an impressed grin on his face. He and Kaya would both walk through the portal with Silence, immediately arriving at the Vander Tower arena and awaiting for further instructions.

Sometimes silence’s mere presence alone was enough to be intimidating; others it was seeing her attacks. But with the shift in expression the shutmon couldn’t help but chuckle a little bit. Silence was the sort that was definitely friendly to those that weren’t her enemies and even then? She’d probably be playful with those if she or others weren’t in a fair bit of danger.
”Yeah he needs to loosen up a little bit in my opinion. Maybe go out, hit the beach. Get some drinks or something. Guy is a work-o-holic.”
Silence chuckled a little bit and waved her hand dismissively; she would give them all the time they needed to pull themselves together. As long as they could act when it counted… well she didn’t really judge people on first reactions anyways.
”Well then comes the next question you two. What level do you wanna fight at?”
Silence flicked her ears a bit and with them in the arena the shutmon would glance about. It was sizeable; well lit and there was very little in the way of a crowd. In fact the only person that was sitting there was… Well the butler. Who seemed bored past giving a small friendly wave with one hand.
”Given how things work, Trial by combat is the easiest to do and the other is going on a mission with a current member. But that’s… a bit difficult to manage sometimes so from what I’ve been told no one’s bothered trying the second way yet.”
The shutmon let out a small snort and she’d lean up against the arena innerwall; just under where the stands would start. She looked actually incredibly relaxed even though she and these two were about to come to blows!
”All knights have one to get to vander tower, regardless of being in the human world or digital world. There’s also equipment in our armory for keeping humans safe too. Shields and some experimental maneuvering gear.”
”Do you think it wise to tell them what we have?”
”Why not? It’s not like you have to be a knight to get them. Though the materials to make em aren’t cheap so even if you are a knight you still have to buy em.”
The shutmon snorted and began to do some stretches while garlond looked less than stoked; leaning over the wall while his ‘liege’ worked on making sure she wouldn’t get sore after the fight. Or at least wouldn’t pull something.
”Just know that even if you do get hurt or the like we have someone nearby that… well she’s a very potent healer. Though best to let her keep studying...”
”Nah we won’t need holly. I don’t plan on em getting roughed up that badly.”

"Y'know... you're a lot different than I imagined you being when I first saw you," Kaya said, snapping out of her intimidated state and now just acting how she would usually act. "Maybe it's just 'cause of the form you're in. You say Garlond's a workaholic, huh? Hawkeye is kinda the same way. He usually has a grumpy look on his face and is all serious and stuff, but I always manage to pull him out of it."
"Did you really need to say that out loud...?" Hawkeye muttered, "but yes, too much work or training is never a good idea. Even before I met Kaya I took a good amount of time during training breaks to just relax. A good book or movie is always my go-to methods of relaxation."
Silence would then ask what level the two wanted to fight Silence at. Seems like a simple question, to see what Kaya and Hawkeye are capable of, but at her current form... could they even win? "Might as well give it our best. Hawkeye's most used to fighting in his Rookie and Ultimate forms so we should probably stick to one of those two."
After they walked through the Digiport, the group ended up in a pretty sizeable battlefield arena, the only person in attendance right now was the butler Garlond, who looked bored out of his mind. Kaya gave a small wave back to him as Silence explained that trial by combat was the easiest way to join the Knights. "Does sound simple enough, I suppose." Hawkeye had conflicted feelings by just how relaxed the Shutmon was even though they were about to fight, as she just leaned against the outer wall of the stands. He couldn't start underestimating her now...
Silence continued explaining, saying that the Knights had access to a Digiport straight to Vander Tower, and the armory had equipment for keeping humans safe as well, though they would have to buy that equipment. "If we succeed the trial and join, armor is the first thing we are going to buy."
"There's no need to rush for it, is there? I haven't been that injured yet here."
"Wonderful, now you've just jinxed us."
"Eh?!"
While Silence would do some stretches at one end of the arena, Kaya and Hawkeye would go across to the other side to prepare for the fight as well. Garlond mentioned the group having a healer as well, so they wouldn't have to get worried about being too injured. Well that was nice to know for future reference, at least. Once Silence was prepared, Kaya and Hawkeye would fully ready up as well...
Orange Digisoul would then suddenly flow from Kaya's entire body, her Digivice in her left hand and all of that Digisoul being concentrated in her right hand. "DNA... Full... Charge!" Kaya's Digisoul-charged hand collided with the top of the Digivice, before Hawkeye too started glowing...
"Hawkmon, Super Evolution! Garudamon!"
In the Hawkmon's place was now a giant bird-man like Digimon with a red mask, long blonde hair and gigantic wings. He got into a combat ready stance, waiting for Silence to make the first move...

Silence couldn’t help but let out a low chuckle, folding her arms and sporting a huge grin down at the human. Her being in shutmon would definitely make it so that some people unused to seeing some forms would think differently of her. She’d adjust a little bit and waggle a finger at the human. ”What thinking me to be some sort of super serious knight with no room for fun? Yeah. He’s a bit like that. But trust me you’ll find the good moments to relax or do other things. There’s plenty of books here and plenty down in rosewood if the two of you ever want to look about. Don’t know much about movies but… My suggestion is take a train to terminus for those.”Hearing that they would fight in rookie or ultimate the shutmon gave a small nod. Unbeknownst to the two here silence wasn’t looking for them to win. Hell she wasn’t even sure what she was expecting from the two of them. But there were some things she needed to see. How they’d act under pressure and under different sorts of duress. ”Well the uniform is mostly made out of cloth but it’s the shields and the grapple harness you’d probably wanna take a look at. Oh and smokebombs.”Silence gave a slight wave hand and smirked; jinxed them? No. The two of them would find out just what kind of person silence was in battle. She was relaxed, friendly and definitely the sort to work well with people. Her smile refused to go away as the other two seemed to get ready. The shutmon however… Once seeing the orange digisoul the shutmon’s grin widened and her eyes sparked with excitement. Her hand shot down to her sword’s hilt and she’d widen her stance a bit… Seeing hawkeye change from the diminutive form of a hawkmon to the buffed out humanoid garudamon practically made her inner warrior dance with glee. And start it she did; without even a second of hesitation the shutmon kicked from the ground. Flying forward with an easy bound; her sword flashing out from her scabbard. The hard sheathe getting sent careening off to one side. Burrowing into the ground and out of mind, out of focus from the shutmon. But it wasn’t the sword that would be the problem. No it was the energy that quickly warped up from silence’s hand all along the blade. Infusing the blade with an intense radiance of energy… And when she was close enough? The shutmon brought her sword up in a vicous swing; both aiming to slash the garudamon from bottom to top. Even though she was slightly out of range for her actual sword to hit. That didn’t seem to matter as a wave of energy lept out from the sword’s length; looking to slam and cut into the hide of the bird man’s body. Log: -Silence uses the moment of preparation to launch herself forward -Silence uses The Seventh key to make a point blank ranged attack against Hawkeye! -Silence’s physical sword is empowered! Move: [RAM UPGRADE GIGA]The Seventh Key: A Gift from her last iteration, for unlocking the potential that she was capable of. This ability is naturally represented by digital coding on various parts of her body, one on each of her arms, legs[Dragon, Space, Sword, Silence] and a seven pronged key on her chest in light blue Luminescent pattern. This ability allows her to draw forth a saberk unlike any other, one that bleeds into others of it's kind to strengthen them if they are present while also allowing a blade of it's own use if she deigns so. This saberk is capable of being any weapon, capable of shooting out energy waves or projectiles and lasts until broken or dismissed. To enhance a present saberk she must invoke this ability separately. The range on the energy blasts/waves differs level to level for melee 15/50/150/300/1000 and ranged weapons 30/100/300/600/N/A respectively [Measurements done in feet]. Additionally if a physical weapon is present on a form this saberk variant may empower them instead. Passives: Oathbreaker: Vaccine types take increased damage from this digimon.
Bound: Using it's powerful legs, this digimon may treat even air as solid ground. Allowing it to basically "fly".

Kaya sweatdropped when Silence asked what she expected her to be like. "Well, not exactly... I expected you to be the type who would be really mean and scary and yell a lot..." the preteen said. "I'm glad that you're not those things, at least." The Shutmon even mentioned how there were plenty of books not only in Vander Tower but also down in Rosewood for them to check out. Silence really wasn't like how they were picturing her to be at first, she's actually a pretty cool Digimon!
Alright, now that Hawkeye had digivolved to Garudamon the proper battle could begin. Hawkeye waited for Silence to make a move, and make a move she indeed did. Before Hawkeye even had a chance to begin thinking, the Shutmon dashed forward and unsheathed her sword with a slash, sending an energy wave right at the Garudamon! Instinctively, he flapped his wings and dashed upward as fast as he could, just barely missing being hit by the attack by a hair's length.
Jesmon Christ Mode, she's fast!
Now that Hawkeye was in the air, he was able to make an attack as well. Multiple of the Garudamon's feathers would immediately charge with a light green energy before they were rapidly shot out at Silence like a barrage of energy lasers. "Rapid Feather!" It would be possible to dodge if she was prepared, but it would be very tricky to do so thanks to just the sheer amount of them as well as the Garudamon's accuracy. Hawkeye dashed upward, just barely avoiding being hit by Silence's "Seventh Key" attack, and he retaliates with "Rapid Feather"
Moves Rapid Feather (RAM Upgrade Giga): Hawkeye charges multiple feathers with green energy and fires them in front of him in rapid succession, hitting one to three enemies at a time.
Passives Deadshot (Combat Passive): Hawkeye's aim is far superior to most Digimon. Each attack has its accuracy increase by 30%, making it more likely that his attack will hit its target.

”Well I do yell, just usually while drinking or fighting. I’ve been told I’m scary in my higher forms though so we’ll see later~”Silence chuckled a bit and stuck out her tongue; she seemed to be the teasing sort too. Even if it was just little things. She was glad that these two were at least willing to work with her and talk with her. But that joy was shortlived as the combat kicked off. With her attack missing him by just a hair’s length silence didn’t even really hesitate. He could fly; so could she but there was no point in giving that away. Better to think he had the advantage for the moment. With a barrage of feathers aimed in a large aoe around her the shutmon wasn’t exactly in the best of positions was she? But she wasn’t about to dodge; no instead she was going to do something else entirely. Her sword was already prepared so she’d do something that most really didn’t. She’d use one of her own attacks to equal out the one that hawkeye threw out. She wouldn’t worry about the feathers that were falling around her and out of range. No she’d focus on the ones that were bound to hit her instead. Her blades were strong enough to withstand a lot of different attacks and this was no different. She’d use the sword that was already in hand to perform this manuever cutting the energy feathers apart with quick and precise slashes of her own blade. The energy dissipating once met with both the physical and energy of her emepowered sword. ”A wide opener for an AOE. Most would have to take it or panic and try to dodge. Just to get by another feather they didn’t notice. Very nice.”Silence adjusted herself and one of her hands was on her hip. She’d flourish her blade and stare up at hawkeye. Daring him to make the next move. This time she’d probably do something entirely different. Well. They’d probably hope that she figured. Her next move would definitely be a very dangerous combination that they wouldn’t expect too. But that would have to wait for the moment while she sized up hawkeye… Log: -Silence used Blade-storm to focus on the energy feathers that would strike her effectively dodging the attack. -The seventh key is still active -Silence remains in her position. Passives: Oathbreaker: Vaccine types take increased damage from this digimon.
Bound: Using it's powerful legs, this digimon may treat even air as solid ground. Allowing it to basically "fly".

What Silence did next, neither Kaya or Hawkeye were expecting her to do at all. With the onslaught of the energy feathers flying at her, Silence pulled out her swords and effectively slashed through every single feather that was about to hit her, leaving her completely unharmed by the attack. Hawkeye floated there with his lower beak hanging open, and Kaya was giving nearly the exact same reaction.
How in the... how was she able to do that?!
Just how strong IS Silence...?
Once the smoke had cleared, Silence complimented Hawkeye, saying that it was definitely a wide opener for an AoE attack, and how most would've tried to dodge only to get hit by another feather. "Clearly I didn't anticipate that someone would slash their way through the feathers," Hawkeye remarked. "Makes me wonder what other tricks you have up your sleeves."
Silence would then adjust herself and stare up at Hawkeye, as if she was daring him to make the next move. After what he had just seen, the Garudamon would have to be extra careful if he actually wanted to land a hit on her. She was surely planning something if she was offering Hawkeye to attack next. Maybe if he ensnared her...
Hawkeye charged a feather with dark green energy before firing it right in front of Silence, almost as if he missed. But no, that spot is where he intended it to land. For as soon as it hit the ground, vines would rapidly shoot out from the feather's landing point and wrap itself around Silence, just long enough to keep her distracted hopefully... Hawkeye uses "Green Feather" on Silence.
Moves Green Feather: Hawkeye charges feathers with dark green energy before shooting them into the ground. Almost instantly vines would shoot out of where the feathers landed, ensnaring the enemy. Cooldown is two posts.
Passives Deadshot (Combat Passive): Hawkeye's aim is far superior to most Digimon. Each attack has its accuracy increase by 30%, making it more likely that his attack will hit its target.

Silence’s sword stance was stronger and so was her skill in the blade that she held. Compared to the last iteration she might not have been as powerful but she certainly put every single step forward without even thinking about taking a step back. Seeing the reaction to what she had done the shutmon blinked a few times. ”It’s simple really. I’m standing in one place and your attack covers a wide area. I cut through what would hit me instead of focusing on the bigger picture.”The shutmon tapped her forehead with a larger finger, eyeballing the Garudamona bove her. She could close the distance between the two of them easy but that was going to be something that would probably make the other a lot more flighty. So if she could limit his vectors… The shutmon noted that he was quick to fire another attack; a green feather of some kind. He outwardly missed? The shutmon’s eyes snapped to where the feather landed and it wasn’t even a moment later to where it ensared her with vines. Restricting her movement quickly. She’d pause for a moment and looking up to the garudamon… ”Don’t even have to hit someone to snare them huh?”Silence drew in a deep breath, energy charging in her gullet. To the garudamon and young woman they’d see a light emitting from between her teeth and through her nostrils. A second later her mouth snapped open and a composite laser shot out. If it hit hawkeye he’d find himself wrapped in an fairly powerful explosion. If he didn’t? Well it’d carry past and hit the barrier… before showering the area around him with a swath of explosions! ”Don’t assume that you carry the range advantage just because all I’m using are swords though.”The shutmon grinned a little bit and adjusted her hold on her blade. She was still a good ways off from the garduamon and she figured… well if he was going to keep flying she’d surprise him with something else. She couldn’t adjust her stance but… there were other ways of fighting! Log: -Silence uses Buster beam to attack hawkeye directly. -The seventh key is still active -Silence remains in her spot… more because she’s ensared than anything else. Passives: Oathbreaker: Vaccine types take increased damage from this digimon.
Bound: Using it's powerful legs, this digimon may treat even air as solid ground. Allowing it to basically "fly".

Move: Buster beam: This digimon may shoot a beam from it's mouth, which upon contact of a solid surface explode, showering down several smaller beams in a small ring around it. The initial explosion is fifty feet in radius, while the smaller ones are ten feet in radius. Hawkeye made a "tsh" noise as Silence explained how she was able to fight her way through the Garudamon's attack, not like anyone asked her but as if she could read Kaya's and Hawkeye's minds in that moment. She really was a great warrior, huh? Hawkeye would have to step up his game if he wanted any chance of being able to competently fight back with Silence.
The Garudamon noted how Silence was watching him from the ground. Was she planning to do something...?
The Green Feather move worked. Silence watched the feather crash into the ground right next to her, and the vines shot out and ensnared her before she even had a chance to react. She seemed impressed that the feather didn't have to hit the target itself to ensnare them. "It just has to hit something solid for the vines to explode out." He was careful not to mention how they only wrapped up one person, the closest one nearby to be specific...
Of course Hawkeye didn't expect it to stop her completely. He noticed Silence taking in the deep breath and the light coming through her teeth and nostrils. He expected this to be a ranged blast attack. Relying on instinct, Hawkeye dashed sideways right before the blast hit him, just barely hitting his wing, before he flew forward right towards Silence. He didn't know if he had the stamina left to avoid attacks anymore like he had been doing before. If she was ensnared, she probably wouldn't be able to counter this...
Feathers from Hawkeye's body would quickly fly out and stick to his right fist, those feathers just as quickly becoming hard as stone. Then, when Hawkeye got close, he would use that fist to deck Silence right in the face. "Rock Claw!"
After that attack hit or missed though, was when the blast hit the barrier of the arena. Hawkeye looked up as the barrage of smaller light beams came down. "Oh shit," Hawkeye growled, holding his arms in front of his face as he had no choice but to just take the attack head-on. He gritted his teeth; they hurt considerably less than if he took the main explosion head-on, but they still hurt! Hawkeye takes damage from the aftermath of "Buster Beam."
Hawkeye uses "Rock Claw" on Silence, decking her in the face while she's ensnared.
Moves Rock Claw: Feathers from Hawkeye's wings surround his claw, becoming has tough as literal boulders, before he sucker-punches the target. Cooldown is one post.
Passives Deadshot (Combat Passive): Hawkeye's aim is far superior to most Digimon. Each attack has its accuracy increase by 30%, making it more likely that his attack will hit its target.
