It was a cool, spring afternoon in Downtown Shibuya. School was out for the day and many people were heading home from work, yet there wasn't a lot of people visiting the district that day. Among this small group was a short, black-haired girl accompanied by a Lillymon disguised as a red-haired teenaged girl that stood a full head taller than the girl she was walking with.
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh!" Sakura said as she darted around Hana, eyes sparkling with excitement as she took in the breathtaking sight of the city around her. "I can't believe I'm finally here! It's even more beautiful than I could've ever imagined!"
"Calm down, Sakura. We don't want to draw attention to ourselves." Hana said, grabbing Sakura's shoulder to keep the disguised Digimon from running into traffic after a shop window caught her eye. "Careful, or you're gonna get run over!"
"I can't help it! I'm just so excited!" Sakura said with an energetic giggle. "This place is so much better than Terminus!"
It was good to finally be back somewhere that made some sense. No more talking trains, no more strange monstrous creatures, and with any luck, no more getting into god only knows what whacky crazy hijinks in a world where even the laws of physics seemed to just do whatever the heck it wanted. Sure. Japan wasn't exactly a familiar stomping ground for the cyborg either, she was still getting used to that whole "portal aperture opened on the other side of the world" thing too, but, Earth was Earth.
Her vision focused for a moment on her HUD and its little tacmap, her thoughts quickly turning to trying to find a decent cup of coffee around in these parts. How long had it even been since she last had a nice tall mug of the stuff? Must have been months now. Hell, felt longer.

The car ahead on the other side of the road to her swerved wide right into her lane seemingly as if to dodge something stepping out, or, about to step out into the road, its tyres giving a chirp and its driver leaning on the horn! Eva didn't even see what happened at first glance, the digimon pulling her car wide into the only option she had to avoid a head-on, the tail of her Jaguar slewing out sideways on tarmac still damp from spring showers earlier in the day as the car clattered over a pavement into a small (and most fortunately empty!) park, the kerb taking the rear bumper right along with it!

Hana and Sakura could only stare as they watched the car that nearly hit Sakura swerve to the side and cause another car to veer off the road into a nearby park on the other side of the street. They both paled as they also saw the car's rear bumper get torn off by the curb. "Oh, crap."
"Oh my gosh, oh my gosh, oh my gosh! What have we done?!" Sakura exclaimed, now in full panic mode. The disguised Lillymon was pacing back and forth as she worried about the accident she'd caused.
"Get a hold of yourself, girl!" Hana said, slapping Sakura's face to snap her out of her panic.
"Thanks, I needed that." Sakura replied, before Hana slapped her again. "What was that one for?!"
"That was for being an idiot! Always look both ways before crossing the street! And use a crosswalk!" Hana said as she prepared to slap Sakura a third time, but this time the taller girl grabbed Hana's hand before it could connect.
"You're pushing your luck, Hana!" Sakura angrily told the shorter girl, but paused when she saw that their argument was drawing stares from the people around them. "*Ahem* Let's just go and see if that driver's okay."
Sakura grabbed Hana's hand and dragged her across the street using a crosswalk in order to check and see if the driver in the damaged car was okay.
