The even thtat afternoon started with a little email directed to the leader of Moonstone Traveler, but not something... official, but something more private and less formal. The letter, was kind of like this
Hi Toki, long time no talk. I hope you're healthy. Me and Gryz are doing well, training everyday, yada yada... I'll be second grade in junior high school in few days... It's probably exciting to be a senpai! Probably... probably. A lot fo chosen starts their journey at my age apparently, or sometimes older. Being someone who started theirs at 11 makes me wonder what if I started my adventure now...
...Oops, got distracted, darn it.
Er, yeah, this is a bit awkward, I know we're friends and all, but it might be a biiiit to sudden for me to ask a favor like this without any sort of opening prior, you know? So, uh... first of all, I believe you know that Gryz was corrupted and it changes his data, right? From Vaccine to Virus. So... we got... a way to treat him, and he felt like he'd like to return back to normal if possible. We could do this in Ys, but... apparently, the process needed something with greatest affinity with Gryz at the moment: Nature
It's not that Ys lacked nature, but it's also very strongly tied with ice element Ice element is opposite of nature element apparently, and that's why.... it's not effective for the process. And so, here's the favor... um... do you know any place where I can probably meditate safely in biomerge state? I don't think it will harm the nature or anything, but we have to be completely still while in this state and at peace. So... yeah...
But honestly, Tetsu did not thought that Toki would offer Moonstone Monastery for that! The now thirteen years old boy is wearing a pure white kimono used for purification rite.
"Are you sure this is OK? I mean, I did tell you that it won't be dangerous to the surrounding, but... we're talking about something alien here after all... Uh... I wouldn't mind if you erect a barrier around us or something while we do it..."

Toki was pleasantly surprised to hear from Tetsu. How long had it been since he's seen him? Years, certainly...in fact...he didn't see him much after his first journey in the Digital World. To be honest he was quite surprised that he remembered him.
Seemed he was still doing well and continued on training despite school obligations. He wondered if he took advantage of the time difference to study. It would be smart if he was, and he's sure he wasn't the first person to ever think of it. Either way it was great to hear that he was doing well.
Tetsu requested a place to meditate in a biomerged form. He happily offered the Monastery as a place of meditation. To restrict to to members of his team would be selfish. As Tetsu asked to make sure if it was really okay, Toki nodded "Of course! This place is open to everyone who would like to visit and meditate, so please take all the time you need here, Tetsu."
"A barrier?" He brushed his chin "I'm certain you have what it takes, Tetsu, but if you would like some safety measures I could provide them myself." He said. He pulled out his Digivice and waved his free hand over it as it shined with impressive amounts of energy. It was a controlled power that didn't feel explosive or overbearing. In a near instant, Toki had changed from his human state to Tsusagimon, one of his most powerful forms.
Suddenly Aylin hopped onto Toki's shoulder from behind and smiled "Mhm! We're here if you need anything so you shouldn't have to worry about a thing, Tetsu." She said.
Toki smiled as he looked over at Aylin before he focused on Tetsu. He sat down and crossed his legs and gestured for him to continue "Please, go ahead and begin. I will be here every step of the way." He said as Aylin hopped down to sit next to Toki.
The both of them had come so far since the day they met. It was always nice to see old friends and how far they've come.

When was they last talked again? Was it during the time they're talking about Tetsu's project of crafting the shelter? That was indeed years ago... too long that he almost have forgotten. Since then the shelter project is moving, but well... there are still problems, and it's not going as smoothly as expected.
"Hmmm, well, first and foremost, let's do a simple ritual."
Tetsu moved toward a washing basin and washes his hands and feet with it. Gryz followed suit and did the same. What's next however, both of them immediately splashed a laddleful of water to the top of their head, drenching their white purification clothes wet. They repeated.the process several times until they're completely soaked.
"Well, from this point on, what happened will be... different than usual, so mind you, this gonna look a little bit freakish, alright?" Tetsu warned.
First, he evolved Gryz to Belphemon. The Bearmon was sitting crosslegged, and now appears as a massive, probably ten meter tall Belphamon, still sitting on the ground with his eyes closed and hands joined together in a prayer. This is an important step. Then, Tetsu raises his Digivice near his lips. What he recites is a Norito, specifically a purification Norito, one that have been practiced over and over again from the clarity of his words. The Digivice immediately responded, glowing with faint green and brown light that intermingles, spinning clockwise in parallel. He simply let it go from his hand after he finished the chant. The moment it hit the floor, it disintegrated into data particles that formed a sphere around him. Tetsu immediately moved to enter Gryz, which then further evolves him into Belphemon X.
Normally, Tetsu would have Gryz assume armored form, in where the human took Belphemon-like qualities, but because Tetsu need to seal the corruption, he need to do normal biomerge that usually done by most people. Inside the Belphemon, the young teen began his work. A holographic screen appeared in front of the Belphemon, showing what happened inside... Mainly, Tetsu moving around in orb-like shell, transported between sectors of data. He's, at the moment, trying to reach the Digicore.
"Toki, can you see the display? I'd like to ask you to tell me if there's any physical changes in Gryz. I'm kind of deattaching myself from him so I can see what's going on inside. Well... as you can see..."
Inside, there are several data blocks that are colored deep black and red. It's emitting dull brown color and makes noises.
"...These are the corrupted data that exist inside of Gryz. If I were to destroy it, it will probably destroy tons of Gryz's current self... So what I'm going to do is, I'm going to move these to an isolated sector that only can be accessed when he evolved, then will be stored safely again whenever he's out of it. To do that I must reach the Digicore."

Toki watched over the two as they went through the preparatory rituals to cleanse themselves. They were taking this very seriously. An eyebrow rose when Tetsu warned this was going to be a little freakish but he just smiled at them all the same. "Oh don't you worry. I've seen my fair share of strange things over the years. Come what may I'll continue my efforts to support you."
Tetsu's plan was risky, but it was apparently what needed to be done in order to avoid causing severe long-term damage to Gryz "I can see everything crystal clear, Tetsu." He said as he glanced up from the screen to look at Gryz, then back to Tetsu "You're putting yourself at significant risk doing this, but I'm sure you're aware. Just be careful. Even interacting with Digicores improperly can lead to irreversible damage." He said as he put a hand to his own chest, remembering what happened to Tsusagimon.
"Are you sure there's no way to purify the data without outright destroying it? That would be my preferred method in this case. If not, then I suppose your current plan is the next best option for Gryz's future."
Aylin, meanwhile, had retrieved a small hand gong and started to rhythmically ring it with a hammer to give the two something to focus and meditate on during their work.
"Corrupted data is a serious issue and I'm glad you're taking the necessary steps to solve this...I have firsthand experience with such things. I know how dangerous and serious this is. Just keep focused and avoid direct contact at all costs. You're mostly data in there and the results could be devastating." Toki warned as he continued to watch over the process. He kept watch, arms crossed behind his back in his determined vigil.

"Don't worry," Tetsu answered as he swam against the currents of the data. "It's not like I'm going to mess it thoroughly. I'm just going to add simple command string... Basically: I'm going to create a container zone to gather all these data. Which means these data will be read only unless accessed for specific reason. And no, I'm not going to destroy these data. I did say 'even if we destroy it', but at this point Gryz feels it's more beneficial for the data to stay here and so he can tap into that power."
Before long, Tetsu arrived at Gryz Digicore. It's a massive sphere, shining green and amberish. "...Right, so... I'd like you to do something if you don't mind... I forgot to tell you this... but where I stood before, there should be a bottle or something... So when I told you to, I'd like you to toss it to Gryz, hard enough so it'll break, alright?"
...That would be one odd thing to ask, but it's crucial. The said bottle is palm sized with clear blue liquid inside.
"Inside is several drops of blessed water from Ys. It will temporarily weaken the corruption enough so I can reinforce the seal... and thanks for the warning, Toki. I'll definitely heed it... so don't worry."
But for the meantime, he accessed the interface of Gryz's digicore. Tetsu typed several strings and looked at them to make sure that he typed them right... before pressing enter. The Digicore beated several times before it releases a light. When the light fade, a layer appeared right above Tetsu. He accesed the interface again, and this time 'gathered' the data closer. Once it's close enough, he nodded.
"...Alright, time to work...."
Tetsu began swimming toward the corrupted data block, and using his protective sphere, he moved (more like repelling) the data toward the upper layer. The data doesn't seem to move away after that, and stayed in the layer, but still connected with the data blocks via thin connecting lines to the digicore- which means they're being accessed at this point of time.
Tetsu started to move more and more. So far, still good.

Toki had his hesitations about tapping into this data as a source of power, but it seemed like Tetsu knew what he was doing and what he was talking about so he wouldn't doubt his judgement. Though he felt like he had to clarify something "I didn't say to destroy it, Tetsu. I asked if there was another way to purify the corrupted data without it being destroyed. There may be power in that data we don't yet know about." He said. "But let's not worry about that for the moment. Everything is going smoothly, and you know what you're doing. I do not wish to cast doubt on your judgement."
He looked over at the bottle in question when Tetsu mentioned it, then tilted his head curiously. "Hm. Well if you're certain, then I will do as you ask." He said as he crouched down to pick up the bottle. He held onto it carefully and would await the signal whenever that may come.
He was proud that Tetsu took this matter seriously. He knew the significant risks and yet still went through with it for the sake of his partner. This was something that had to be done, but not everyone had the heart to do it.
There would be no words as Toki continued to watch as Tetsu did his work with the digicore, occasionally glancing up at Gryz to make sure he was doing okay during the process. Surely it couldn't have been a comfortable experience, though he's never directly had his core tampered with. At least...not while he was a Digimon. This whole scenario really hit home for Toki, but he had to stay strong for them.

"Ah looks like we got cables crossed," Tetsu admitted with an awkward chuckle. "...I personally... doesn't think that it's possible. Yes, personally that is. We have tried... you see, to purify the data. From asking high level angel to treatments with medicines. It's not working. Gryz has never lost control in his Belphemon form so at that point we just decided that it doesn't worth the effort to mess around with his data more than enough... but... Problem starting to rise when these corrupted data began to spread to the rest of his data, which means his other form could get corrupted too... so you know where this is going."
But either way, Tetsu keeps working. At first, it was going smoothly, but as time goes on...
"OUCH!?" The hand that he used to work trasferring data cube suddenly zapped by something. The data cube that was supposed to be stable now has morphed into something similar to a sea urchin.
"!?"
The rest of the corrupted data also did the same temporarily...
"......Wait, don't tell me... these are defense program?" Unfortunately, in process of moving the data, Tetsu did not get registered as an administrator, but as a third party. The slow transfer has somehow flagged him as an anomaly. Tetsu looked at his hand that was temporarily glitching out.
"...Looks like the system purposely trying to mislead me. The number of corrupted data is probably less than what's on the screeon..."
...and then he took a look at the Digicore. Most likely the strongest defense program is there. If he goes there... Then most likely it will try to delete him forcefully or terminate the connection. That might cause complete separation of Tetsu and Gryz bond-wise.
"...In that case..." Tetsu had to do it in third party way. First... he calls out his Digivice. He's no programming whiz, so he simply voiced his request to the Digivice, who did the work on its own. The Digivice, as the proof of bond between Tetsu and Gryz, managed to dispel the visual camo of the defense programs. Now... it feels like swimming in a pool full of floating jellyfishes... One sting and it would be really bad. Tetsu continued to do his work. For the meantime there's no change in Gryz.

Toki nodded a few times in understanding as he listened to Tetsu's explanation. If Gryz was indeed in that much control, then further control of the data was likely the best possible option for him right now. In that sense, Toki had no further objections to this plan. The main issue was the event that the data would corrupt his data further and alter his other forms. That would certainly not be a desirable outcome.
He continued to watch silently as not to distract Tetsu from his work, but the circumstances worried him greatly. Gryz's data defenses viewed him as a threat or some kind of unwanted software. At least the Digivice was able to show him which of the data was real and which was a trapped defense mechanism. Still, there were quite a few of them and it would be difficult to avoid them all. He held onto the bottle as he was told and waited for the moment he would have to help. "I wish there was more I could do to help, but I will leave this in your capable hands, Tetsu. You and Gryz have been through a lot already so this is just another trial to overcome together. This won't beat the two of you." He said with utmost confidence.
Still, it did bother him there was little he could do for the moment, but everything he does will be one less thing for them to worry about, so he needed to view it as such. Even the slightest assistance could be more valuable than he could know. He continued his vigil, watching for anything that would need to be done.
