Luna let her arms drop, the field stayed up and she didn't need to do much to keep it going after casting it, usually that helped more in the middle of battle then it did right now but hey holding your arms up like that is tiring. "Yup, Healing, Ailments, Barriers. You name it and I probably have it." Luna replied with a smile. "I have a stronger healing abilities but that's only for dire emergencies." Considering she could only use it once and she was dead tired after using it yeah, that did seem like it'd only be for harsh situations.
"Dust doesn't have any support himself, he's all about attack, attack and more attacking. Guess that's why we fight so well together. I keep him safe and he goes to town." He had pretty much always been like that, least for as long as Luna has known him.
While that was happening Dust heard mention of telling the guards to go easy. "Of course, they're just kids after all. Probably just doing this cause they ain't got another option, I know that feeling well enough." Dust didn't elaborate on that part though, didn't seem like he'd want to either.
Dust listened to the back and forward between Kshin and the Dorumon before he had just had enough. Walking over to Kshin Dust motioned for the young digimon to follow. "C'mon, you got what you came for. That Dorumon ain't worth your time." Dust didn't care about being quiet enough for the other digimon not to hear him as he motioned for Kishin to follow him.
Though if the Dorumon tried anything he'd quickly and swiftly be met with a punch to the face from the Impmon.

Mandrake smiled as he listened to Luna's words though it was hard to tell since half his face was usually under his cape. "Lothar and I are a lot like you and Dust, in a way. While I prefer to disrupt foes with my illusions, despite having more offensive magic, Lothar utilizes the most offensive moves. I'm still haven't completely mastered fighting at close range though."
Lothar had slowly opened one eye and looked at Luna before he said "Sorry I haven't been more welcoming. I'm concerned about Kshin and I usually don't talk much with strangers at first."
Meanwhile back with Kshin and Dust, Dorumon's words had caused Kshin's fur to begin puffing up from being so angry but he heard Dust's words and nodded to the Impmon before heading out of the building. Upon reaching the door he faced Dorumon one more time before he said "At least I found two digimon who care about me as much as my parents and grandfather did. Maybe you should consider that not everyone is against you. No wonder no one in the gang likes you and only listen out of fear." With those parting words Kshin stepped out knowing Dust would follow eager to get back to his new family as his fur slowly stopped puffing up. It was amazing he didn't drop his mom's locket during the whole thing as the chain was still firmly held in his mouth. Perhaps by the time Kshin made it back to the hotel Lothar would be healed.

What Mandrake did say reminded Luna on how she and Dust usually dealt with stuff, though there was one part she left out. "Oh I'm pretty good at close ranged fighting also, can't just be all support after all. I used to live on my own as a Mercenary so it's just something I picked up along the way." Luna then realized how weird that might sound, from Merc to doctor, still though it was her life and she was proud of it.
Luna simply waved Lothar off with a smile. "Don't worry, I understand completely. Dust always tells me I'm too trusting anyways, but I do understand why you'd be a bit apprehensive." She was used to it after all, all friendships started out as being strangers after all. "I know I can't stop you from worrying but trust me, if anyone can make sure they're safe it's Dust.
Dust walked out after hearing what Kshin had to say to the Dorumon. "Well said." Dust added giving a small thumbs up. "Lets hurry back, I'm sure Luna's probably done by now." At least probably, worst case scenario they'd hafta wait a bit long. Ain't like the duo had much to do at the moment.

Mandrake sighed before he looked Luna in the eye and said "In the beginning I was never that good with close range combat despite having a handful of close range abilities over various forms. It wasn't until an encounter with a Piximon that Lothar and I have begun sparring. At least I'm better with a sword than I used to be even though I haven't mastered it yet."
Lothar took in Luna's words before he said "While there is nothing wrong with being friendly towards others maybe your companion, Dust, might be trying to protect you by hoping you'd become a bit more cautious."
"Being a former mercenary is interesting. I suppose though that at times Lothar and I are like mercenaries sometimes since we travel and help those in need. It's how we came across Kshin after all." Mandrake said looking as if Lothar's unease was becoming contagious as he glanced several times at the door hoping the Dorimon in their care would come through the door even though he would telepathically sense when the youngster was near.
Dorumon glared at Kshin before snorting and muttering under his breath not caring if Kshin heard or not since the Dorimon wasn't a threat to him. Dorumon was more cautious of the Impmon anyway so the dragon wisely backed of to the corner of the room doing little more than glaring daggers. Kshin made his way out of the hideout so angry he wouldn't of likely noticed if Dust had followed or not.
He toddled back in the direction of the hotel the gold chain of the locket dragging on the ground but he didn't so much as trip and he began to slowly calm down decreasing his walking speed with his fur beginning to no longer looked puffed up.

Sparring huh? "Well it's good to learn a bit of everything, never know when it could come in handy after all. I've asked to spar with Dust before but he usually just brushes me off, Think he's worried he might hurt me or something." Which considering how he usually fights that was a very real possibility! But with Luna's healing skills it couldn't be too bad right?
Though what Lothar said did strike a small nerve with Luna, though she didn't show it. "Yeah that's probably it, though personally I don't mind it if something goes wrong cause I trusted someone." With that the Lekismon just gave a smile. "I'd rather be betrayed a hundred times then even think about leaving one digimon or human in need cause I was too cautious to approach. Just the way I am." She wasn't planning on changing that anytime soon, everyone needs friends after all.
With that though the field around the three of them slowly teetered out and vanished. "Oh, guess the ability ran out. How're you feeling Lothar?" If it was still hurting she'd wait a bit and start the healing again.
The Dorumon was right to fear Dust, at this point he still had the power of a Champion digimon. The Impmon caught the digimon glaring daggers in their direction. Dust slowly let a fireball encompass his hand before crushing it violently while staring at the Dorumon, basically just screaming don't even think about trying anything.
Dust would then just turn around and follow Kshin, looking at the kid he seemed to walk slower, even seemed like he had calmed down a lot. "You alright?" Dust figured he'd ask that, even if he was fine just the gesture of asking was nice.

Mandrake nodded in agreement before he said "Yes learning many things does come in handy even if you don't always know when said skills will benefit. I have learned one skill like that though it is far from a combat or healing skill."
"I guess there is always some kind of risk when meeting new people. One never knows at first glance who will become a friend or foe. At least you and Dust look out for one another incase you two come across more disreputable types." Lothar said before a thought came to mind before he then said "You remind me of Mandrake in regards to both of you being open and friendly towards others."
As Luna's skill ceased Lothar slowly pushed himself upright. Though he was still in pain he didn't show it though Mandrake would likely be alert to it soon enough as he had a hard time fooling the Wizardmon for long. "I'm alright. Maybe we should see what's keeping Kshin and Dust." Mandrake knew something was up right from the start but said nothing as it seemed Lothar was trying not to appear vulnerable. Since he tended to behave much like a bodyguard such behavior was not unusual for Mandrake but boy could it be trying at times.
Kshin slowed to a stop upon hearing Dust's words and turned to look at the Impmon before he said "I'm alright considering that Dorumon didn't so much as care if my data was absorbed by strangers but what hurt worse is he bullied the others into following his lead. Veemon and Dracomon actually liked me. I worry he may become no better than the pirates that murdered my family one day. Even worse is I may have to fight him. How does one deal with something like that?"

Luna simply gave a nod at Mandrake mentioning learning a bunch of stuff, though with what Lothar said about her and Dust looking after each other she let out a small laugh before mentioning something. "Well, Dust also helps me with directions a lot too. I have a really bad sense of direction so I get lost a lot. He's really good at finding his way though." Luna didn't know that was because he had to learn to counter her own inability to find out where she's going but hey, no one needed to know that.
Luna could also tell at a glance that Lothar was not fully alright, he was moving slowly but considering what he said Luna figured he wasn't the type to lie in bed while someone he cared about was out and about. "Well my skill needs a bit to recharge so, if you really think you can walk then it might be a good idea. I imagine you'd just be sitting here anxious until they come back. Am I right?" Luna said with a small smile, she wasn't calling him out or nothing just worried, but if he really thought he could move then she wouldn't stop Lothar.
Meanwhile Dust was hit with a heavy bit of talking from the small digimon when he asked what was wrong. Looking forward mulling the digimon's words over he thought about what to say before simply nodding and talking. "Well, if he does become like those pirates then maybe you should work hard. Get stronger and when the time comes stop him yourself." Dust turned his head looking at the digimon for a moment, they were still young but even still... "The only way to deal with something like this is to press on, leave the past behind you and focus on your future, with your new family. But don't forget the past, let it fuel you to push forward so you never have to experience that again."
With that though the Impmon just crossed his arms, shrugging lightly. "Least that's what I figure." It was his own views, didn't want to impose his own logic on a kid.

When Luna mentioned her trouble with lacking a sense of direction Mandrake was glad he and Lothar weren't like that. Chuckling in turn Mandrake said "While Lothar and I don't usually struggle with directions there are other ways we balance each other out. For example at times I can be to arrogant for my own good but Lothar keeps me from getting into too much trouble because of that alone. While Lothar has a slight struggle with his temper but most of the time I can keep him calm."
"Unfortunately I usually run off from what has angered me." Lothar said before he then continued "I'm glad I'm able to control myself as well as I do in battle which makes me wonder how many children we'd have with temper issues."
"We'll deal with those issues when and if they come, Old friend." Mandrake calmly said as Lothar had gotten to his feet.
Lothar looked at Luna upon his feet touching down on the floor despite being stiff and sore he had a feeling he wasn't fooling anyone but said "Yes, Luna, I'd feel better when we find both Kshin and Dust and I have a feeling you are worried too."
"I'm sure between my telepathy and yours and Lothar's senses that we should find them fairly swiftly, Luna." Mandrake said as he reached for the door knob with his bionic arm before pulling back looking at it clutching the arm with his non bionic arm his self consciousness toward the fact he lost an arm awhile back rearing forth again as things were beginning to calm down.
Seeing Mandrake's distress, Lothar walked slowly towards Mandrake and set one hand on his boyfriend's shoulder, the one connected to his bionic left arm, before opening the door itself before he softly said "It's okay, Mandrake."
Dust's words floated in Kshin's head as the Dorimon processed them before he said "I'm trying my best to press on. I still hope that Dorumon won't become worse but I'll also work hard at getting stronger too just incase he becomes more than just an irritating bully."

Luna nodded a bit with the talking about balancing each other out. "Yeah, suppose you always need someone who can do that for ya, guess should be happy we got who we got huh?" Luna said with a smile but when Lothar mentioned children with temper issues Luna crossed her arms, lost in thought a bit. "Huh, that's a good point. Wonder if I had kids they'd get as lost as I do?" She mused mostly to herself, the idea of a buncha little kids running around with no idea where they were going was a bit funny, also scary a little bit as well.
With Lothar feeling better, or lying about feeling better Luna just nodded. "If you're too worried you might not heal properly, best to get this sorted earlier rather then later." Mostly fidgeting around would cause it but still, best to find them fast. But that Luna was worried she mostly just scratched the side of her head, unsure about that. "I suppose a bit but I know Dust can handle anything thrown at him, at least I haven't ever seen him get shaken by anything." Would be a first for sure.
Something seemed to happen as Mandrake opened the door, holding his arm Lothar mentioned it being okay. Unsure of what to say in a situation like that Luna just had her arms around her back and smiled waiting for them to go through the door.
With what Kshin said Dust just nodded. "Hope for the best, prepare for the worst. Tactics 101 right there." With that though Dust realized they had been out longer then he wanted. "We should hurry back, Parents are probably worried." Dust started walking with a little more pep in his step but made sure not to leave the small digimon behind.

The thought of youngsters lacking any sense of direction was indeed as amusing as it was scary. "Perhaps if you ever have children they might be fortunate enough not to inherit your lacking sense of direction but one never always knows."
It appeared that Luna was on to Lothar regarding him not being fully healed but in an attempt to ease her worries said "Don't worry, Luna, I'm not as bad off as I was before. I should be able to heal the rest of the way on my own. Good thing we digimon heal fast."
After Mandrake released his bionic arm he took a deep breath and opened the door before heading out with Lothar right behind. After they found Kshin they would worry about replacing Mandrake's still battle damaged clothing from their recent pirate encounter.
Kshin smiled at Dust's words regarding preparing for the worst and when the Impmon mentioned hurrying back, Kshin said "Yeah. Good idea. Who knows what crooks come out at night around here." With that Kshin followed Dust. Now that he had his mom's locket he had no reason to wonder the streets anymore anyway.

Hopefully Mandrake was right about that whole thing, though even if they did inherit her inability to know where she's going Luna has made it this far with it, so they probably shouldn't be too bothered by it. "Best to just deal with it as it comes." After all she wasn't planning on having kids anytime soon, that would be way far in the future.
But with what Lothar said Luna seemed to switch gears back into doctor mode, wagging her finger slightly. "Yes digimon heal fast but don't rely on it too much, you're probably fine now but bedrest is important for a proper recovery." Yeah she was way focused on stuff like that, but it came from a good place.
Luna would then follow the two of them checking around for Dust, if he was in his Beelzemon state.... Well they'd probably already instantly know where he was given he scares everyone in that form.
Back with Dust though at the mention of crooks Dust just gave a light shrug. "True, all the more reason to hurry back." He wasn't worried about some two bit criminals finding him, he was a bloody tyrant for crying out loud. If some small time thug did get the better of him he'd never live it down.... Probably not the best idea to mention that to the kid tho.

When Luna started lecturing Lothar, Mandrake had found himself struggling to surpress his laughter though his amusement at the sight was easily visible in his eyes. He was glad that Lothar didn't notice as the Leomon's attention was focused on Luna as she began wagging her finger while doing it. "I'll be sure to be more mindful of that in the future and plan on getting some rest after we find Kshin." Lothar said in a calm voice before catching Mandrake's amused expression out of the corner of his eye. When Lothar turned to Mandrake with an incredulous look on his face Mandrake couldn't hold it in anymore and burst out laughing. The laughing fit was brief fortunately and when Mandrake was finished, Lothar said "Luna, you're starting to remind me of my father with that tone you took with me and he isn't even a doctor."
As they made their way down the streets Mandrake soon seemed to have picked up Dust's and Kshin's trail with his telepathy. A short time later Mandrake spotted the two of them heading their way and when Kshin noticed him the tiny digimon made a beeline for him surprisingly fast as the kid not only had short legs but was carrying a gold locket in his mouth by its chain. Mandrake then knelt down holding out his hands catching the little Dorimon as he flung himself into his hands before cradling Kshin in his bionic left arm. "I see you and Dust have found what you were looking for, Kshin."
"Not without a brief holdup since we also ran into the Dorumon who lured you and Lothar into that pickpocketing scheme. Fortunately we didn't have to fight." Kshin said snuggling into Mandrake's chest. "Lothar, can you put my mom's locket in the Ifinity-Store?"
Lothar reached for the locket and gently picked it up as Kshin's jaws loosened their grip on the item. When they got back to the hotel he would do exactly that.

Lothar promised to get more rest, which was good that's exactly what Luna wanted. Though she did notice something happening to Mandrake out of the corner of her eye, was he laughing? Well that didn't matter. "Good, I don't mean to sound rude I just want you to recover as fast and as safely as you can. I've always been one to worry a lot." She might've been a bit overbearing there for a second but it was from a good place, meanwhile Mandrake seemed to get a laugh outta what Luna did and Lothar mentioned her acting like his father! "Hehe, sorry. I just get really worked up by this sorta thing. I guess I feel it's my duty to make sure everyone is as safe as they can be." Luna meant well at least.
As Kshin saw the Trio and made their way rather quickly over to Mandrake Luna did the same towards Dust, rushing over to the Impmon and scooping him up in her arms. "Ack, Luna?" Dust was pretty much caught off guard, he was expecting them to still be healing Lothar, but now here was Luna giving Dust a large hug.
"I missed you Dust! Glad to see you handled it well!" Luna said with a large smile as she held the Impmon up, who seemed to give up at resisting it and just let himself go slack.
"Luna it's barely been an hour, and of course I handled it. This is me we're talking about." Though that did sound like Dust was being prideful he was just pretty good at what he did, with that though Luna let the Impmon down and turned to Mandrake and Lothar.
"I'm glad you got your locket back! Lothar is pretty healed up as well. Things went pretty well today." Luna said with her usual smile, she was always happen when things went well.
"Yeah, suppose the Dorumon didn't want to chance it by fighting while I was around, smart move." Dust was happy he didn't have to fight at least, so things did turn out pretty well!

"I'm sure Dust also appreciates having you around to." Lothar said in response to Luna mentioning her duty of keeping everyone as safe as they can be.
When they spotted Dust and Kshin Luna had ran over to Dust scooping him up in her arms while Mandrake had knelt down to pick up Kshin. While Kshin didn't seem to mind being picked up it didn't look like Dust was the type to want to be lifted or carried around but he didn't fight Luna's over enthusiastic affections before she set the Impmon down.
When Luna spoke to Kshin he turned to face her and said "I'm glad everything worked out too since I wasn't sure if Dorumon knew of where I hid the locket in the hideout. If he did know I'm sure he would of sold it by now."
At Dust's words regarding Dorumon not wanting to chance a fight, Kshin said "Maybe he didn't want to fight because he was alone and there were two of us."
"That and if he chose to fight he could of possibly been fighting two rookies instead of one rookie and an in training." Mandrake said.
"I don't think I'm ready to digivolve yet, Mandrake, so I don't know if I would of if things got ugly." Kshin said in a tone that wasn't brimming with the youngsters usual confidence.

That did make sense, fighting two opponents would be much harder even if one of them was just an In-training, though mentioning fighting two rookies Luna seemed confused for a moment before realizing something. "Oh right, yeah I guess you would think that just by looking at him. Dust actually has the strength of a champion digimon." Luna was so used to Dust being strong that she forgot Impmon are usually rookie level digimon, guess it was even better they didn't choose to fight him after all.
"That and if push comes to shove I can go Mega if I have to, though I don't like using that form unless I need to." There seemed to be a bit of backstory to that but Dust didn't seem like he'd be keen on mentioning the reasons right now. Kishin mentioning evolution did spark something with Dust though. "It'll happen when it happens, just have to train hard and let it come naturally." It was usually in response to a need most of the time.
"Yup, you can trust Dust, he's like the fighting expert or something." Luna praised with a smile, once again embarrassing the Impmon who turned his head.
"I've just been around a lot, you pick up a thing or two." Pushing that aside Dust decided to focus back on what happened before. "So what are you three going to do now, Did Luna heal them back to full strength?" Dust questioned, since they were out here that would mean a yes right?
"Almost but the rest he should be able to do on his own, so long as he doesn't move around too much." Digimon did heal fast after all.
