New school year... it's the time where the students have to attend the usual principal address of the year and all that stuff... There are some air of freshness as some new students walked in with gakuran. It's clear that from their crisp look they're new students... and well, one guy in particular... however is anything but. If you have guessed that he's at least second year, you're not wrong. One, he knows his way around the campus, he knows the direction of the school like the back of his hand... two: he dared to came to the school with few red streaks on his hair... and three: he's wearing something completely opposite of "crisp".
...You can say that he's actually wearing a loose fitting gakuran with sleeves that nearly goes past his knuckles. It's almost like a little brother who got a hand me down from his big brother... well, the truth is... he have grown about more than ten centimeters overnight. Not to mention he's a lot beefier now... so his gakuran which supposed to have some room for his body to grow into... Ended up not being fitting at all, not even when he tried to put his arms inside. It feels so tight. After seeing how buttons would just immediately pops and sleeves would rip... he decided that the best thing to do is to just grab oversized one...
...The contrast of appearance is funny at the very least. Some of his classmate saw him and snickered, teasing him as they goes. Tetsu just rolled his eyes. Some remarked about his hair changes, something that he properly explained that it's just something happened overnight.
...Anyway, boring speech from principal aside, today was supposed to be a short day: find your class, find your table... get your books and go home. As for Tetsu though, he decided to linger a bit in the school. At the school yard, the boy in oversized clothes are sitting beside two other students.
"Dude, you should look at Fujieda-sensei's face when you said that it was natural and not colored!" a blond haired boy laughed.
"Well I'm serious, I even got a lab slip if they don't believe me."
"And that what was funny! She thought that "it was none of my business but if you have family problem you can talk to me"! She wouldn't expect the lab slip at all!"
Since a while ago beside the two boys, a girl in wheelchair is laughing freely like she just saw the greatest comedy of all time, gasping "her face" between laughter.
"Geh shaddap Kazu... and until when are you going to laugh that much, Sora!?"
"Well we know Tetsu can be a bit naive," Kazu laughed again. "But man you got taller now! You're used to be a shrimp."
"Hmph, what's so bad about being short anyway? I'm strong anyway."
"Well, I'd prefer if my boyfriend is taller than me..." Sora teased.
"I'm always taller than you, what are you talking about?"
"Well, girls will grow faster than boys during this period, so I'm worried that you'll be stuck at that height for a while---"
"Tsk..." Tetsu clicked his tongue in annoyance.
"Plus, tall boys are popular. Don't you know that, Shishidou-senpai~?" she teased again
"I'm not interested in other girls when I already have a girlfriend anyway! So that point is moot!"

LJ stepped into the school just in the nick of time even though the Trailmon to Shibuya seemed to be running late that morning and that he had to bolt for the building after leaving the station. This disguise of his had its advantages with its longer legs than he had in his true form of an Impmon purple Elecmon with red markings instead of blue. Somehow he still hadn't blown his cover so he counted his blessings as he made his way down the halls.
Even after being at the school for the entire day LJ still logically got confused from time to time but had managed just fine so far as he went through the monotonous process that was the school day. Eventually he made his way into the school yard over hearing a conversation between several students. Since he was an Elecmon that was something he could hardly help but he managed to play it off as if he was unaware of what the group was talking about.
'Tall kids are popular for the girls? That could be trouble for me regarding keeping a low profile if I'm not careful.' LJ thought as he walked past the group sitting down not far away from them.

 Today went by much faster than Luneth was expecting it to, despite the Gabumon incident that occured. He knew that it wasn't the official first day and it would be a relatively short day, but he didn't anticipate how quick everything would be done and over with. Aside from listening to a boring speech from the principal, the day mainly consisted of finding his class, finding his table, getting everything set up (after the incident, of course,) grabbing his books and then that's it. The most stand out thing of the day so far is one of the students he noticed around before the principal's speech started. He was an odd boy. Firstly, he was wearing a school uniform that was way too big for him, the sleeves almost going past the kid's knuckles. It looked like he had half a hand or something. Not only that, this guy had streaks of red in his hair. It didn't really look much like hair dye either, it almost looked... natural? And Luneth thought he was the strangest kid in all of Shibuya Academy! After the day had ended and everything with the Gaomon, Gabumon and those twin girls was wrapped up, it was now the end of the day. Luneth and his best friend Kaya Matsui had both walked through the school yard. The two were making plans about what to do later that day, most likely involving lunch since Luneth was, of course, hungry once again. "I swear I'm never going to understand how you get hungry so fast," Kaya said with a jesting sigh. "What can I say, I'm a growing boy after all."
However, they couldn't help but overhear another conversation that was happening not too far away from them. It was that same kid with the red hair from earlier, who was apparently named Tetsu. They were talking about how Tetsu's hair apparently was natural, and he even had a lab slip to show the teacher and everything, which his girlfriend thought was super funny. Their conversation almost immediately shifted to Tetsu's height, and how taller boys were popular. Being of average height himself, probably no taller than Tetsu, Luneth felt the need to comment to the group. "No wonder I'm practically invisible if that's how popularity works."
"If that's the case, that new kid LJ is probably gonna be the most popular kid in school," Kaya added, unaware that LJ actually was walking nearby at the moment. |

Huh, someone approaching. Tetsu looked up and saw a boy and a girl, probably about his age. "Hi, errr..."
"Oh, I know these two," Kazu mused. "That one is Matsui Kaya and that one is Lu---neth or something like that? That was a unique name so I pretty much remembered it quite easily" Being the school popular guy and basketball club regular player, he apparently have numbers of name in his memory bank.
"Well that's Kazu for ya. You know your people easily huh," commented. "Sup? I don't think we're in the same class this year either... hum... or are we?"
"What, did you napped again while the teacher was doing a roll call?" Sora teased.
"I don't want to hear that from someone who napped immediately the moment she found her seat."
"Aw, I got caught~ But spring breeze feels pleasant you know? Pity that people with pollen allergy will probably umable to enjoy the breeze, but still. Anyway, pleasant day wasn't it? Have you found everything OK?"

Shortly after LJ sat down Luneth and Kaya showed up in the school yard. Apparently they didn't know he was nearby as Kaya and Luneth talked about food. It seemed Luneth had an appetite that was large much like LJ's but that wasn't uncommon for digimon. LJ smirked at Luneth's statement of being a growing boy before he thought 'Growing boy is a bit of an understatement seeing as he and I are both digimon and use up a lot of energy.'
It seemed LJ's stomach agreed with Luneth's as his belly began to softly growl in response and LJ sighed before he thought 'Speak of the devil. Pops why did I have to inherit your monstrous appetite?' With luck most students wouldn't notice his rumbling stomach as it was not yet that loud. Sitting he continued to listen to the conversations around him since with his hearing he could probably hear everyone if he tried hard enough.

Well these kids were friendly at least. One of them even seemed to recognize the two of them: Kazu, one of the more popular guys in school and a member of the basketball team. Luneth gave a small wave to the group. "I'm Kanzaki Luneth, actually. Second year student. I was a new transfer student last year, we may have passed each other in the halls at some point.""I'm surprised you remembered our names, I don't think we've had a full conversation with each other before," Kaya added. "Well like he said, I'm Matsui Kaya, second year. And no, I don't think we have the same class together."
Luneth and Kaya blinked when Tetsu revealed that the girl apparently napped immediately after finding her seat. Neither one of them could hold in their slight laughter, as sleeping was the last thing either were thinking about when they found their own seats. "We actually have a couple of eccentric kids in our class so napping wasn't exactly all that possible. A pair of twins, more specifically!"Sora then asked the pair if they had found everything okay. "More or less. The school wasn't as hard to navigate as it was on my first day last year. Going to a new classroom will take some getting used to, I'm afraid. How about for all of you?
It was then that Luneth felt like he could sense something familiar. The disguised Digimon would turn his head towards another familiar student, LJ, the incognito Elecmon that was in his and Kaya's homeroom class. "Oh hey, it's our classmate LJ. What's he doing just sitting over there...?""Hey! LJ! Come say hi!" Kaya called out to the foreigner student, waving her hand high up in the air towards him with a big smile on her face. Kaya was definitely the friendly type, at least! |

"Eh, I tend to keep tabs on people, you know~" Kazu answered rather cheerfully, crossing his arms behind his head in carefree manner. "On the other hand I think Tecchan here should be more interested with his surrounding."
"Just say you love to gossip darn it," Tetsu retorted.
"Aw, but being up to date to people's affair is kind of fun! Anyway, name's Kazuki, Ishi Kazuki. You can call me Kazu just like the other. Nice to meetcha~ Over there is Nomura Sora."
Sora waved cheerfully "heya!"
"And this guy here is probably the strongest guy in the whole middle school, Shishidou Tetsushi."
"That intro was unnecessary though..." Tetsu shrugged.
"There he goes again! He's making it as if it's not a big deal!"
"Well it IS not a big deal, I'm just a normal guy. Anyway, nice to meet you guys."
How did they do huh? "Pretty normal. our class is just a floor above, that's all that was different..." Tetsu commented. "The lesson, though... I flipped through the book some and I think math this time around going to be a lot harder, so I need to work hard to maintain my grade I guess. Though the rest aren't so bad. I think I'll do decently on the rest."
"Mmmm, meanwhile I think I'll be having trouble with physics. Just flipping through it is enough to make my head hurts." Sora commented. "As for the stairs, well... You're going to carry me up, right?" she nudged Tetsu, who merely ruffled her hair in turn, making her let out a squeak of glee.
"Eh, spare me from English. I can speak a little bit of french but English is..." Kazu sighed. "Oh, right... are you guys in any club? Now that we're senpai, the Kouhai probably going to start looking for us for guidance. This year I think we got about three new members in Basketball club. The number might increase later!"
"I'm in going home club anyway," Tetsu commented.
"Well of course, you're going to your "gym", right?"
Tetsu smirked as he rolled his eyes.
...that was a loud stomach rumbling though.
"Hungry? Oh well, cafeteria isn't open just yet today, so I guess if you're hungry, vending machine...."

It seemed Luneth and Kaya had noticed him but Kaya was the first to say anything about it as she began waving to him in a friendly manner while calling out to him. LJ smiled as he decided not to be antisocial as he rose to his feet and walked over to the group.
By the time he reached the group he was within average human hearing range and heard the names of the other humans in the group so he figured he would introduce himself. "Like Kaya so enthusiastically said I'm Anderson, LJ which is short for Lothar Junior." When school subjects and clubs were mentioned LJ said "Since I'm new I'm not a part of any of the clubs yet and I don't know yet if I'll join any of them. As for classes I guess I'm okay at most of them but nothing genius level." No way was he going to bring up things like geography or history since he wasn't that strong with such subjects in the Human World. At least his English and Japanese was just fine.

Luneth and Kaya smiled at the trio's back and forth, they were a very pleasant group of friends to be around. They formally introduced themselves as Ishi Kazuki, Nomura Sora and Shishidou Tetsushi, who Kazu claimed was the strongest guy in the entire school, with Tetsu completely embarrassed about how proudly his friend announced that to them and claiming that he was a normal guy. Luneth scratched the back of his head. "I don't know, I like to think that I am fairly strong, myself. Perhaps we should test that at some point?"Thankfully LJ decided to join the group upon Kaya's request, walking up and introducing himself to Kazu, Sora and Tetsu. The rest of the group then decided to share their own class experiences, ranging from clubs to actual academics. Luneth and Kaya didn't see the harm in sharing their own stories. "Math is a horrid subject that I wish would burn in a fire. At least with everything else it's easy enough if you study, but with math there's just so many things you have to do and so many rules and it all gets mangled in my head.""You say that yet you still managed to get ranked number one in the whole school in terms of test scores," Kaya said, poking Luneth's arm. "Meanwhile there I am in the middle ranks, not failing but not doing too spectacular either. English is easily my worst subject right now but I have to do better since I kinda made an international friend who doesn't speak Japanese... we have to have a translator for each of us just to talk."
Kazu asked if Luneth, Kaya or LJ were in any clubs. Kaya decided to answer for both herself and Luneth for this one. "Luneth and I are both in Theater Club, actually! We both love to act and sing so it was a perfect choice! It's weird to think that we'll be senpais to all the new club members though... we'll just have to do our best!""She's very enthusiastic about things," Luneth said, stating the obvious. It was then revealed that the weird sound that was heard earlier was actually LJ's stomach growling. A very loud stomach growl, at that. And it was then followed by Luneth's own stomach growling equally as loud in response. Much embarrassment would be present on Luneth's face after that. Since the cafeteria was closed, all there was to eat was stuff from the vending machines. "Actually Kaya and I were going to go out into the city to grab some lunch. You're welcome to come with us if you want, LJ.""Same with the rest of you!"

Considering that there are lot of international students in the place, Tetsu haven't really homed in anything about these two being Digimon, but he does feel that their name... isn't quite all that common. But what does he know about anything common when he have no idea where they came from anyway? But the other one looked like he's older... which honestly a bit odd. Middle Schooler outside of the country was supposed to be a year faster than Japan apparently, so if Tetsu is 13, 14 this year, the classmate would have been 12 or 13 too, but this one looked older instead, which made him quite... suspicious."Fairly strong huh?" Kazu seem to be getting oddly competitive although it wasn't him who he's boasting. "Then hear this out! This guy here could bench two adults easily!" "Kazu, duuuude...." "What? The guy seem want to challenge you so why not?" "Geez..." Tetsu scratched his head. "Anyway ignore Kazu, Really, I'm just someone who enjoys improving myself." "What's your rank again, Tecchan?" "Errr.. was it 41? Sora is in top 10 though." "Nothing much to do in home anyway," Sora answered modestly. There's a tinge of melancholy in her eyes as she said that. "...But Kazu is in the lower ones, right?" "GEH! Uh, Sora-san? Your merciless words--" "Best get your score high enough, otherwise you'll be known as a guy whose basketball ability score him scholarship in high school and nothing else!" "GWAH, uguuu... Tetsu, your girlfriend is mean." "You deserved it, dude... I told you to pour more time in your study and not just gossip and play games all day..." Tetsu deadpanned. "Giiiihhhh!" ...Just what are these guys doing, already hungry at this time? Eh well... Hmn? They're invited? "Sure, that's cool with me. But I gotta tell my grandpa first I guess." Tetsu pulled out his phone--which is actually...  A Digivice. But at this point it serves as normal phone too. "Ah, Kozue-san? Yeah, it's me... please tell grandpa that I'll be late... 'as usual', yeah, probably a bit later. There's no need to prepare lunch too. I'm going to get a food with some schoolmates. Yeah... Oh, and please tell Gen-san it's fine to not pick me up. Yes. Thanks a lot. Well then, see you!" He turned around to face Sora. "What about you? Wouldn't Mr Aurelius would be worried if you don't tell him?" "I told him anyway that I might going to hang out with my. So most likely you'll drop me home later." "...It's amazing how your logic work, Sora. Well I can't refute that yes, I'll walk you home later... but for the meantime... Let's change of this... cloth, it's getting a bit too stuffy for me." Tetsu took off his top wear, leaving him with casual sleeveless shirt. This in turn reveals his absurdly built physique.Tetsu then lifted Sora in a piggyback while Kazu folds the chair into a compact, suitcase-like dragable object. The two of them seem already used to it, so much that they could coordinate how to move with Sora. "Well then, we're ready. Where to?" |

Listening as Luneth said he was pretty strong himself didn't surprise LJ as digimon were stronger than humans on average. Careful not to blow his cover or potentially make others uncomfortable or confused since his egg came from two digimon who identified as male, he said "I'm pretty strong myself but my dad could easily outdo me when it comes to brute strength. He is also much bigger than I too."
Though lost when the subject of ranks came up LJ kept his expression neutral so as not to look suspicious. Then Tetsu brought out what looked like a digivice. There was no mistaking that so was he a tamer or a spirit wielder perhaps? One thing LJ knew was that the digivice didn't resemble a Xros Loader all that much. When Luneth mentioned lunch, he said "Now that you mention it, Luneth, lunch does sound good." Luneth wasn't the only growing boy as the disguised Hackmon had put it.
LJ looked back at Tetsu to see he had removed the upper part of his clothing revealing his muscles and was now giving Sora a piggyback ride and her wheelchair was now folded up. "Where do you work out to get muscles like that, Tetsushi, was it? Not many kids in middle school have muscles that big." Somehow LJ had managed to avoid saying the word human and still not sound like some weirdo.

"Two adults? Impressive," Luneth commented, crossing his arms as a slight smirk appeared on his face. His teenage side was starting to take over, feeling the need to one-up this kid, since there was no way a human could be that strong. "Though I can bench three.""You? Bench three adults? You're so skinny you look like you can't even lift a bag of cat litter," Kaya teased, lightly pushing her friend. "You'd be surprised, Kaya." In regards to LJ's comment about his dad's strength... "Just how strong is your father, anyways, LJ?"
The topic of test score ranks was brought up. Tetsu apparently ranked at 41, while Sora was in the top 10. "Congratulations, Sora," Luneth said to her. "I'll bet your math score was way better than mine in the end..." It would then evolve - or rather, devolve - into teasing Kazu about how he was ranked waaaay at the bottom, with both Tetsu and Sora ganging up on him for playing games rather than studying. Luneth and Kaya both laughed at Kazu's suffering since it was all in good fun anyways, right? "If you want I can get you to study during our free time, Kazu!""Unless you think your basketball scholarship will be enough!"
Everyone there happily accepted the lunch invitation with Luneth and Kaya, though Tetsu mentioned he had to make a call first. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone- wait a minute, that is definitely not a phone... Kaya knew immediately what it was: a Digivice! Not only that, but a D-NeXT, as well! The same Digivice that the members of KIZNA had! Once Tetsu was done with the call, he would look up to see Kaya in front of him with what seemed to be sparkles in her eyes. In her hands was also her own Digivice, the iC-Burst model with black and orange coloring. "That was a Digivice, wasn't it! I never would've guessed you were a Tamer as well! I got a Digivice as well too, see?"
Luneth sweatdropped. Kaya's sugar-high side had kicked in at full force. He politely tapped on his friend's shoulder. "Erm, Kaya..." Luneth said while pointing to the other non-chosen kids and LJ that were still standing there. Considering she didn't know LJ was a Digimon yet, the girl broke into a nervous sweat as she realized what she had done. "Uhhhh... oooops...""Honestly, Kaya, I cannot believe you haven't blown it sooner," a mature voice came from the Digivice. On screen would be a pixel sprite version of the bird-like Digimon, Hawkmon. "Sorry, Hawkeye..." Kaya said, lowering her head in shame. After some teamwork on Tetsu, Kazu and Sora's part, with Tetsu taking off his top to reveal his usual sleeveless shirt and carrying Sora on his back while Kazu compacted the wheelchair into a draggable suitcase-like object, they now had to decide on where to go for food. "Well Luneth and I were thinking of just looking around and seeing what intertested us-" Kaya was then interrupted as she and Luneth got a good look at Tetsu. If this were an anime, those two would be drawn in a simplistic style with surprised expressions on their faces. "Muscles...""Perhaps you are that strong..." |

The talk about father being stronger came to Tetsu as something a bit odd... aren't all fathers are strong? But perhaps LJ was very proud of his father? Either way, it might be the testament of the family's gene or something, eh well! But, Luneth on the other hand?
"Ha? Three? Dude, you look thinner than most of the kids around here! No way you could lift three!" Kazu spoke. Sora giggled at Kaya's tease and as for Tetsu? he simply make a face the same way Gryz would. = w=, that is. He thought that one of the three could be a Digimon, but turned out one outed himself oh so easily. From Kaya's reaction it doesn't look like she knew about it, so he guess it's better to keep it a secret.
"Ugh... I-I'll study alrught! J-just... eventually..." Kazu looked away to not embarrass himself further.
Kaya's reaction... well, Tetsu now understood what's going on. Luneth is aware of Kaya's identity but Kaya isn't aware of it herself, whcih probably means that Kaya accidentally showed her secret like this the same way she did to Tetsu. Tetsu made a = w= face yet again, looking at her warmly as she gushes about features and whatnots. "In Ys, that term is kind of offensive... 'tamer' I mean. I'm used to the words 'partnered'," Tetsu commented" but yes, I'm a partnered human."
Tetsu flipped the phone-like object around and shwoed Kaya the screen. A blue bear with sleepy look is now looking back at her.
"Oh, beary pleasant day to you. How do you do? Gryz is my name."
"That's my partner. Kazu and Sora already know about Digital World, so no worries."
LJ asked him about his physique... Well...
"It's genetic," Tetsu answered. "I got a condition, myostatin related hyperthropy. That and well..." LJ probably also know about the Digital World... ".....some data related things going on. It's also what made my hair red. Plus, let's just say that when you have been to that world for years.... how long have it been? More than two I guess...? Well either way, it causes me to develop a body suitable for survival."
Though he said "not many". That's not true. The fact that it's "almost never" unless it's in anime... which leads him to think that LJ might be also a Digimon... But it wasn't 100% sure like how he does when it comes to Luneth.

Was Luneth trying to blow his cover? LJ thought for a second to come up with something humanly feasible for a Leomon who disguised himself as a six foot eight mountain of muscle. "I'm not completely sure how strong my father is but he can lift and move large boulder surprisingly easily, Luneth."
Kaya's hyper ways seemed to rear their head after more school based discussions when she mentioned Tetsu's digivice making the disguised Elecmon facepalm. He ceased facepalming when Tetsu explained that Kazu and Sora knew about digimon but that didn't mean he was ready to blow his cover just yet.
Tetsu then showed his digivice and an image of a Bearmon named Gryz appeared but apparently there was one more digimon hidden in a digivice in the form of a digimon named Hawkeye. When Tetsu mentioned his muscles where genetic LJ didn't argue. After all what did he as a roaming digimon know about human genetics?
"As for food anything will work for me. I'm not a picky eater." LJ said as he walked with the group. Which was true since he spent the earliest months of his life with his parents on the road eating whatever his dads could find.

"Despite my looks I actually work out regularly with my father," Luneth told Kazu, conveniently leaving out the part that said work out was actually combat training. "The skinniness mostly comes from my high metabolism that I inherited from him, which is why I get so hungry most of the time. And that's also why I always order so much at lunchtime," he admitted, rubbing the back of his neck. "Kinda like a Digimon, in a way," Kaya concluded. "Though my partner isn't much of a big eater type. Hawkeye eats around as much as a normal person would, except when it comes to sweets or strawberries. He can just pack those away like nobody's business!""Did you really have to say that out loud...?" Hawkeye asked from inside the V-Pet, clearly sounding embarrassed. After a quick explanation of how apparently the word "Tamer" was offensive and how Kazu and Sora knew about the Digital World, Tetsu pulled out his Digivice again and allowed everyone to greet his Digimon partner, Gryz the Bearmon. "HE'S SOOOOO CUTE~" Kaya squealed as she looked at Gryz with shimmering eyes. "My Digivice only shows the sprite version of Hawkeye but I promise you he's one of the cutest Digimon you'll ever meet! Maybe we can go to a restaurant that has a private seat so we can let the Digimon out?"
LJ asked Tetsu about his muscles, and he explained that he had a genetic condition that caused his muscles to grow, and mixed in with Digital World related things that made his hair red gave him a body that was more adapted to survival. "I was wondering how you had natural red hair like that," Luneth commented. "I didn't know the Digital World could change people like that?"
Now, where was the group going to eat? "Wellllll, we don't have that much money ourselves.
