It's a weeday afternoon, where it's one of very few days where Ryouta got a hand on experience in cooking class. Today, it's seem that the big guy has learned a new recipe and is jotting down notes on the difference between his own dish with the dish that the teaching chef made. Today, his score was around 79. Technically that's an A, but for him... that means there was 21 points that he might have missed. He need to review the dish later. However that was not important. Today he have... an appointment? Sort of?
"Yo, Naoki. I just got out from the class. Well then, shall we go back to my apartment first before getting that dinner then?"
Today's appointment is with a guy that he knows from high school, back when he's still very much 'wild' guy that is. Basically just two buds going out to get some meal. As much as Ryouta would like to treat the guy with his own cooking, cooking back to back felt like a little bit tiring. Well, at the very least they got a recommendation for a quite interesting noodle restaurant around here...
Apparently, the dishes that they offered were really unique. Different type of cooking style in one restaurant? Interesting.
"Today was tiring..." Ryouta sighed. "Well, not much on the stamina. More on the stress. Somehow someone had the mental idea to like invite world class chef like Gordon Ramsay to teach... I can't even imagine how sky high my stress level would be at that time, heh. How about yours? How's your class, Naoki? This has been my second year, but honestly? It was... hard."

Weekdays. The term had become so different once again for Aizawa Naoki over the past week, ironically enough. After two years that he had lost, he had sort of...regained the fruits in the form of his partners. And that was something to get used to again. A void of two filled again meant he had to figure out how to juggle them plus classes.
A welcome challenge. But a challenge nonetheless. "Good to hear." He told Ryouta. He had not been waiting for long, classes just finished for him a while earlier. "And sure, I think it's been a while since I've been there...?" Naoki...couldn't trust his memory.
It was dumb.
"I sorta know what you mean. University's a different beast compared to high school--so many things to keep track of depending on what class. Plus emails...Did they actually get a world class chef to come in? I bet you'd rock their socks off if they did." Seriously, who wouldn't like Noguchi Ryouta's cooking? Some kind of tasteless asshole?
"Stressful, but worth it. I think no matter how my performance fares, I'll end up walking out with something new under my belt, which is all the better. ...Not sure if I prefer biology or programming, though." Naoki had always been a whiz with comp sci. "Only my first year but it's a lot to get used to. But, hey! Dorms."
...It had been a while since he had actually walked and talked with someone about his day. Had he been this isolated for so long...?
Ryouta chuckled in sympathy. "No, I don't think you have been here yet. I just rented the place like... a year ago?" Ryouta mused. "It's a studio apartment, you see. Well still a big one but a studio nonetheless. Kinda two floored, so that's very much ideal... finding one at my height is a bit of hassle though. But thankfully I found one where I don't have to duck on the second floor. It's really great to have a place of your own, and furnitures of your own choosing...." Well that aside, he laughed when Naoki praised him.
"Heh, well, I'm not that much of a pro. I still got a ton of things to perfect. The one that I can't help but to be proud on is my knife skills though," Ryouta admitted. Who knows that his dexterity from using sword ended up saving his butts so many time in fruits carving arrangement in class? He ended up making quite the stunning arrangement that scored him "A" for that lesson. It was quite well praised too for his quickness and precision.
"I'd like to stay on a dorm myself if possible. Our uni doesn't have dorm and you know... I have Digimon. I think Valt will appreciate it much more if I live by myself where he could also stay. Unlike some sci fi i don't have a friend where I could just leave him at, you know? Like in their server or something. Oh, you go over here," Ryouta pointed at the left on a crossroad.
"It's close to a lot of facilities, so I think it's really great... ah moment." he purchased some canned soups from the vending machine. "I'm going to experiment something with these," he mused. "Can canned soup be upgraded? I'm sort of curious." he put it inside his bag.
Just as he was about to talk more to Naoki, he heard something... quite loud? Like a trash can fall to the ground. Hmn?

A year ago...Then yeah, he definitely hadn't been here before. Okay. Let's fix that, then. "I can imagine. That sort of freedom's great but I also find it can be overwhelming. Only person in my dorm room, so I have a lot of space to work with. Not that I really...do much?"
Much of Naoki's activities outside of class can be described as a mixture of purpose, and ennui. Boredom. That said, he lit up at Ryouta mentioning knife skills. "That means you've got room to show off there."
The sci-fi that Ryou mentioned did sound familiar, though. "Swear I've played something like that before...Would be really useful for Xu and Filia, though."
...Am I chopped liver?
I heard that, asshole!
God knows how you can upgrade canned soup outside of adding salt and pepper...The sound of a trash can falling, though, that roused Naoki out of his thoughts really easily. "If it's a cat, I call petting it. Otherwise, let's find out." He nodded, preparing to go where no Aizawa would dare go in Shibuya.
Ryouta chuckled. "Well, they're lively as always huh?" he mused. "But yeah, rather than putting them in some sort of cloud storage, I think it's better for them to like... say, have a virtual island inside the Digivice. Come to think of it, when are you going to join KIZNA anyway? I think there's some interest spoken, but nothing too... solid for the meantime? Just give us a holler and we'll send you your Digivice, really."
Though, yeah, the best they can do for the moment is to look at the source of that fuss. Ryouta definitely fast enough when adrenaline pumps in his system, hoping that it's just some cat fight or such, but clearly as they gets closer and closer... it sounds more like something dull hitting something fleshy...
And Ryouta started to see red when he saw what's going on.
"Oi," his usually cheery voice dropped into ice cold sharp. "...What the hell are you fuckers doing?"
Three kids beating up a kid that looked like in his last year of middle school. A bullying...
"...You punks best cut that out."
"Huuuh? What with the need to butt in here? Screw off. Our business is with him, not you."
"You just made it mine. Get the hell outta here before---"
Before he could start with his threat, someone suddenly raised their voice. "Oh I knew him! He's the legendary Dragon of the Shibuya High School! He sent tons of bullies in his middle school year! ...Though I heard that he softened like a jelly... Heh, look at him now. He's not even gonna throw a punch."
"...A punch isn't needed for scums like you."
"....Heee? But what about your scholarship? You think you can hold them when you bully us? hahaha!"
Those bastard might have not noticed it, but since a while ago, Valt actually did something to counter their response. The moment they arrived at the scene, Valt already turned on voice recording function of D-NexT to counter their action. He stayed silent, for he knew that Ryouta is battling his inner turmoil.
"....You think you have the ground to say that when you're the one who's bullying? A bully cried bully?" Ryouta chuckled "...that's so pathetic."
"Say whatever you want, bet you can't even raise a punch, right? Right? ORAA!" and one of them immediately slammed a piece of wood on Ryouta's head. True to his words, he's not doing anything, just standing there, menacingly. Those three began to gang on in rather than the kid. It was painful, yeah, but honestly? He have experienced worse, these are nothing.

There was a good question posed there--when will you join KIZNA? ...
Aizawa Naoki was uncertain as to how he should answer that. "...I need a bit of time to think about it. I'm interested, yet...Even...before I lost my memory, I don't think I've ever been in a team. I know my cousin was one of the bigshots at the Digital Field Club so I could likely ask her what it's like." A pause.
"Though, everyone has different experiences." He noted, before he immediately found his mood dropping at what he saw with Ryouta in tow.
Kids bullying another. Middle schoolers. An uncomfortable reminder as to where Naoki himself had been before he had met his friends in high school.
"...No, you ingrates aren't even worth a punch. You're already small as hell, so you have to bully the even smaller. Seriously, he's got a point--You're scum. Nothing more, nothing less."
The words were spat with a surprising amount of venom from the normally mild-mannered Naoki.
"Eh it's OK, we're pretty chill all thing considered," Ryouta commented. "You know Yuuki.. if anything that guy seriously have a hard time asking people to do something for him... told him it's OK to be bossy sometimes but he ended up doing a lot of thing himself. And sure, ask a--"
the conversation cut short here. Despite the beatings, Ryouta stayed silent. No seriously, just because it hurts a bit doesn't mean that he don't know how to react at the last second, for example to harden his muscles upon impact. That's what boxers do a lot of time. One of the bully however got irked by Naoki's words. "HA!? What didja say ya four eyes!? I'll beat ya up--" and took a huge swing.
Seeing this another bully was about to assist, but... Ryouta moved his leg. The bully got tripped, but not at the ground... but at the waiting knee of the tall man. A loud crack resounded. That poor guy must have his nose broken if not outright caved in. Slowly, the tall man put his hands on his pockets. "...See, I told you, I don't need a punch, do I?" Ryouta spits blood out of his mouth. "...I give ya warning already, sons of bitches. DIdn't take it and just doubled down...Now what, hmn?" he looked at the third bully. "Naoki, you can take care of that other trash, right?"
"D-DON'T GET COCKY YOU BASTARD!!"
"Why all mobs make same kind of lines? So cliched..."
Ryouta made no effort of dodging the wood block and instead did a high kick to the guy's chin, rattling his jaw. He quickly followed it with a kick at the guy's groin, making him fall on his knee, screaming silently in pain. Unfortunately? He's not done. He immediately did an axe kick to the head.
"....Tsk... now I have done it... I can handle people throwing punches at me, but the moment they get someone else involved... shitty, seriously."
