Name of Mission: Ancient Instinct.
Member Count: 5 (This will get messy)
Rank: S
Client: Kenna and Bon the Agumon Hakase.
Levels Needed: Rookie will do. But you can use anything above that, too.
Requirements: In terms of character, you won't need anything in particular. As a player, please refer to the image above. Please, please, make sure you're willing to face the consequences of your character's actions.
Plot Description:
A stress signal makes your digivice or D-terminal beep. A sort of video plays in a holographic layer. The image quality is poor and full of static. However, you can hear a feminine voice mutter some indiscerptible words. Although the content of her actual request is not easy to perceive, her tone sounds desperate. After she finishes a sentence with a tone hinting she asked a question, two words appear on the holographic layer.
-Accept
-Ignore
...
An impulsive request.
You wake up in a dimly illuminated room. The furniture around you looks a lot more conserved than the building itself, even if the place looks very messy. If you decided to explore your surroundings with your eyes, you would find tables cramped with computers, files, and what seem to be scientific experiments inside clean tubes. Some probes and glasses inside a sink and a huge screen that almost covers the entirety of a wall would probably call your attention too. Not too far from you, a purple-haired girl lies with her rear on the floor and showing an expression that denotes her amazement. She looks quite shocked to see you there.
"My name is Kenna. I'm... sorry for calling you in like this. I really didn't know what to do.
I guess I should start by expalining where we are now and how did you get here. You received my stress signal and accepted to help me when given the choice, so I opened up a portal from your digivice or D-terminal to here. We are in Cabin Islet, it's a small islet some kilometers away from Idayi Island. I'm sorry... I... wouldn't be able to tell you where that is exactly in the Digital World, as I don't know anything more than this.
Idayi Island is actually why you're here. The place is a massive island filled with tribes of dinosaur-type digimon to the brim. They are basically the only type of digimon you'll find there, either dinosaurs or variants of them, like reptile-type and dragon-type digimon. Well, you'll find them and... me. I live there. Or... at least I used to.
I nursed all of the digimon in Idayi Island. Helped them with my scientific knowledge and made life easier for them, as there are some adverse nature conditions that they constantly struggle with. Despite these difficulties, we were happy, I was happy with all of my dinosaur digimon and... I think they were happy with me, too.
However, things changed drastically very recently. For reasons that are still unclear to me, one of the dinosaur tribes started acting differently. They called themselves Unaba. They started... disturbing our peace. I... tried to talk to them.
Maybe I was... too soft. Maybe I should have stopped them when I could. But things got out of hand and they invaded my laboratory at the center of the island. They drove me and my partner out, and took control of everything in there. The last thing I knew was... that they were trying to get their hands on a device I was working on. I'm not sure what they want to do with it, exactly, but... given the info I have and what said device can do, it can't be a good thing.
Luckily, I had prepared this second laboratory almost no one knew about and was able to hide here."
Mission Description:
"So... What is your job, you ask? Well...
In order to recover control of the island and make it peaceful again, I need firepower and allies, and right now... I have neither.
In a few days, Unaba has made a total mess of Idayi Island. They took control of all of the other tribes and small villages the other dinosaurs had built and have anyone who didn't belong to their tribe originally working as slaves. I want to get to the bottom of this. I need to know what they're planning, what do they want exactly by doing this and what do they plan to do with my experiment. But... most importantly, I want to save Idayi Island and return peace to all of the digimon living there. They... They really don't deserve any of this.
Idayi Island is huge, so splitting and working as a team is crucial. I'm sure Unaba underestimated me, and they don't actually know how much I know about Idayi and my reach. I can get you inside the Island and help you move around from here. I have an interactive map for the whole place, I can track enemies, potential allies, I can tell you how to move, and see what is going on at any given moment. I-I'm sorry... You'll have to listen to my voice a lot if you accept this mission. I'll be your eyes on the sky, but you'll have to take the decisions with the info I provide.
Don't get confused though, although this mission is about recovering the island, combat is not compulsory and it is certainly not the only thing you'll need to succeed. So... I don't want to be rude but... if you came here just to pull some punches, you'll have to either change your mindset or leave. Strategy, collaboration, making allies and smart decisions will be crucial to get the best outcome possible, and I really cannot stress this enough.
In terms of combat, things are even out. To avoid major conflict among tribes, I designed a device that spreads waves of digital stabilizers, which work over the data of every digimon within the island. What do digital stabilizers do? Basically, they level the data of the digimons affected by these waves, adjusting their power level to a certain base constant. In simple words, the techniques from any digimon within the island hit equally hard so, for example, a technique thrown by a Child digimon can perfectly cause a huge amount of damage to a Perfect, just like the other way around. That means, it's not about hitting hard, but hitting smart. This applies to both us and our enemies so... it can be an advantage or an issue, depending on how well you use it. Use your evolved forms and techniques with dexterity, aim to use the best technique or form for a specific situation, and take advantage of your enemies' weaknesses, considering both their type and their attribute. The fact the power levels are equalized does not mean the combat skills are, those depend on each of you. In this scenario, resistant or quick digimons are a valuable asset.
Regarding secondary objectives, there are a couple of things I want to get looked at, too. But I will give you details about them later on, and you can decide if you have the time or the will to help me with those too. They're not mandatory, but... looking into them could be interesting."
Objective Summary: "So! Let's sum up a little, shall we?
Main objective:
-Split around Idayi Island, help the tribes being oppressed by Unaba and gather all of the information you can about our enemies, their motivation, ways of getting into the lab, and ways to stop them.
-Get to the Central Lab and stop Unaba, either by force, negotiation, or any other method.
The objectives are simple because the complex part is the route you take. This mission can be tackled in multiple ways, and your methods will determine the development of it and the new objectives that may come to light.
Secondary objectives:
-Explore the mysterious ship anchored in Binagi Shore.
-Get the Tirant Flower and give it to ClearAgumon."
Grace Period: 3 days. Ideally, it would be great to have a round per week. It's not compulsory, but if you do that I'll love you <3
Reward Offered:
60 posts + 12000 bits / 50000 bits / 30000 bits + Idayi's Call.
Idayi's Call: The user roars into the sky, summoning the digitally embodied spirits of ancient creatures, once leaders of ancient dinosaur tribes. Digital energy takes a form that vaguely resembles a Tuskmon, a MasterTyrannomon, and a SkullGreymon. These cannot attack freely, move, or block attacks. They also cannot be destroyed. During the next three turns, besides the regular movement of the user, one of these attacks will be launched against the enemy, in the following order:
Turn 1: Panzer Knuckle. A mighty punch launched by Tuskmon.
Turn 2: Master Fire. High-temperature flames launch from Master Tyranomon's mouth.
Turn 3. Ground Zero. An organic missile is launched from Skull Greymon's spinal cord against the enemy.
Each attack is as strong as a 3-post-cooldown attack from a digimon with the same level as the user at the moment they used Idayi's Call. Once per thread.
