The purple-haired girl, who was still laying shocked with her rear on the floor until then, reincorporated, dusting her robe off a little bit. Kenna was a short girl, her skin was dark and her facial features were very delicate. A pair of blue irises, a defining trait of her, would remain behind a pair of enormous, black-framed glasses. Her hair was long and had a dim, lilac tone. Before gracing a short, bowing gesture, she turned her back at the group to make her way towards one of the multiple tables scattered around the laboratory. Her movements somehow implied she wanted them to follow her there. This table, in particular, was certainly the less cramped of all of the different pieces of furniture around. It also had a bright, silver color. From beneath the sleeve of her well-sized robe, Kenna took out her right arm, putting an index finger over the table. Those who had an eye for details would spot for a second a yellow-colored D-Arc hanging from her wrist, tied with a loose belt. As soon as Kenna made contact with the table, another holographic layer, not different from the one the group had faced before when being met by the request, materialized. This time, several screen-like holographic layers also deployed around the group. They remained floating, just at the right height for them to look at what they showed. In all of them, the members of the group could observe different natural landscapes. A little bit of intuition could tell them these were the specific areas of a huge, general map figure that had deployed across the table Kenna had touched. With all of these holographic screens deployed around them, the laboratory was fairly more illuminated now. “Oh. Right.” Kenna cleared her throat. “Before explaining anything else, it’s better if you have this already.” From her robe, the purple-haired girl took out around twelve small, spherically-shaped devices. They were the size (and shape) of a marble, but they had a clear, well-marked color. Their scientist host took a quick look at her guests and retired two of the marbles, taking them back to her robe. “Please, take this.”
She opened up her palm, where the ten spherical items laid. The colors? Turquoise, scarlet red, dark green, light green, purple, cobalt, light blue, silver, white, and pink. It seemed that everyone was free to take one. “Take as many as you think you need. If you think you may need one for both you and your partner, go ahead. I can see some of you come in pairs, so you may take one each too. I only have these ten, so just make sure each group has at least one.”As everyone went through these motions, it was likely inevitable they all started to feel they were about to embark on something huge. Once everyone had taken at least one marble, Kenna would nod and put whatever was left (if any) back in her pocket and take out just one, with a bright, yellow color. “I should probably explain why I’m giving you these.” She noted, right before holding the small object with her index finger and her thumb. “These will be your inventories. Aiming to protect Idayi Island, and, honestly, also testing my own scientific skills, I once developed advanced technology made to jam communications or shut down different types of devices across the island. Although most of the things these will allow you to do are things your D-Terminals or Digivices can do, if the digimon from the Unaba tribe manage to get access to this technology now that they have taken control of my laboratory, it is extremely likely they use it to make your own devices useless. However, these…” Kenna’s eyes shifted for a second to the marble in her hand. “Are immune to any type of block they may try with that technology, and that’s why you should get used to using them.” After a quick pause, Kenna continued with the explanation. “They have many, many uses. So many that if I list them right now, you probably would have forgotten them by when it’s time to actually use them. Luckily, these are quite easy to use. For example: If I want to call one of you…” Kenna would start shaking her marble. The item would rapidly change color, the variations being all among the colors of the marbles they all had just taken. “… I just need to shake it and stop when it turns the color of whom I want to call.” Kenna stopped when the marble turned orange. A color that was not among the ones they have gotten the choice to take. “Then, I just let go…” She opened up her palm and let it loose delicately, almost as if it were going to float. And it did! The item floated in front of her and deployed a holographic screen of an orange tonality too. “There’s a camera right there. You’ll be able to see them, and they’ll be able to see you too.” In the holographic screen, they would all see an Agumon wearing what seemed to be a lab robe. “Kenna! Did you get our friends?” “Our… allies are all here.” The scientist nodded. “Are you done calibrating the ship? You should come to meet them. We’re about to get things started.”“Okay!”
As quickly as it began, the call ended. The screen disappeared and the marble remained floating (returning to its original yellow color) so Kenna could grab it and put it back inside her pocket. “See? Communication should be quite easy this way. Again, I encourage you to keep using the devices you feel most comfortable with, at least while they’re still usable. While you’re in a call, you can squeeze the marble to activate and deactivate the camera. You can run your index finger over it to lower or increase the volume.” Kenna nodded again, hoping that made enough sense. “To use them as inventories, all you have to do is tapping them once and getting the item you want to store close to it. It will digitalize and basically get inside of the marble. You can tap it twice to deploy a screen with all of the items you have stored and take them out by simply touching them on the screen. These are quite intuitive, so I’m sure you’ll do great when the time for using them comes.” She showed them an honest smile. The sound of a door, by the far end of the cabin, got her attention. “Oh my…! Kenna!”
Ready, set...! The Agumon with the robe they had seen before had entered the room. “Okay… so…!” Kenna cleared her throat as she attempted to drive the attention off from her very awkward partner and back to the mission. “… Now that we’re all here, we can start developing our plan.”With a swift movement of her hand, Kenna made different sections of the map light up. “As you have probably guessed, this is Idayi Island. At the center of the island is my Main Laboratory. The last time I saw Yama, one of the Higher-Ups from Unaba, he was there. For some reason… Although he used to be the leader of the tribe when we lived peacefully, based on what he said when they invaded the laboratory… I kind of feel he’s not the leader behind all of this. But… I need to look further into that.” A pause. “As soon as I have more info, I’ll let you know.”Kenna’s attention drifted to some of the multiple areas around the island. “Since they surpass us in both numbers, knowledge, and influence, it would be simply stupid to go straight towards the laboratory. The reasons are plenty: I need time to figure out what they’re doing in there and the most optimal way of entering; we all need to get more information about Unaba’s motives to use all we know against them or in a possible negotiation; we need to weaken their forces throughout the island by finding out what happened to the other tribes and getting their support.” Knowing those should be enough reasons, Kenna decided to proceed, even if she could probably think of many more. “Having that in mind, I have selected three places where I have detected important activity going on. I’m sure these are all matters worth being looked into. These are just a starting point, though. Many more things to do may come from these.” She nodded, right before turning her head towards a group of folders over the desk, next to the giant table with the map. “I have more or less summarized each sub-mission in those folders. You may go ahead and read them.”Kenna moved away to let the group study the content in each folder. “Once you have read the files… you’ll be the ones picking where you want to go.” The scientist nonchalantly revealed a very important piece of info regarding how they would proceed. “I don’t know… anything about you. So… it makes sense for you to pick what you’ll be doing yourselves, based on what task you feel is more fit for you, the skills you consider you have, and, of course, the type of mission that you find more interesting.” She noted. “I summarized the info regarding the task as well as I could. Once everything starts, I’ll probably be able to provide you with further details. Once you have decided the task you want, grab the respective folder and… just introduce yourself very briefly. Like, just tell us your name and whatever other info you want to throw out there about you. I hope that is not too awkward but… I don’t even know your names right now.” Kenna’s eyes went to the folders again. “Regarding these missions, right now you can only pick one. But don’t worry, you can go help another group once you’re done with yours or swap missions once everything has started too. I don’t think forcing ourselves to follow a plan strictly can bring anything good in this type of situation, after all. Ideally, we shouldn’t leave any of these without anyone taking care of them. Like, there should be no empty mission. Except for the one marked as secondary. I think looking into that may bring great benefits, but I don’t think it’s essential to complete the mission.”
So! Their first task was actually… picking something to do! And then, introducing themselves. Quite easy, huh? Over the desk, next to the map, 3 piles of folders rested. All of the folders within the same pile contained exactly the same information. Whoever walked towards this desk, would be able to open the folders and study the content in them carefully. What they would find were a couple of sheets of paper clipped together and some photographs. The information was classified in the same way for all files. “I decided to make these files physical because I think it will be easier if you have to show something in these files to the digimon on the island.” Kenna would explain to whoever wondered this. Each folder had the name of the mission they contained marked over it. 1.- Ozith Village. You open the Ozith Village Folder.
Priority: Primary.
Summary: According to what I can see on the live map, the villages of the other two main tribes that inhabited Idayi are deserted right now. Apparently, the members of Unaba took all of the members from the other tribes they could catch to Ozith, the village Unaba used to occupy originally. Why would they take them there? They have destroyed most of the cameras I had in the area, so I really can’t see what they’re doing with the digimon they took to Ozith. Why do they need them, anyway? I’m sure we can find out a lot more if we actually infiltrate into the village but… be aware this is going into the dragon’s lair. This is by far the most dangerous task of the three and we have no idea what kind of perils you’ll find there. It is likely, however, that some of the big dinos of Unaba are there, so that means more info. Also, if they’re keeping captive digimons from other tribes there, helping them escape could mean more allies to our cause. Is any of you good with diplomacy? Because at least one individual that knows how to be persuasive could be very useful here.
The photos that can be found inside the folder are all from how Ozith used to look before all of this started. A village that seems to be quite big, with brown huts and buildings seemingly made of clay and a giant waterfall that stands majestically next to it. 2.- Ultimate Brachimon You open the Ultimate Brachimon Folder. Priority: Primary.
Summary: I have… no idea where this thing came from. I know all of the digimon in Idayi but… I had never seen this one. I have no clue if it was a spontaneous mutation or if it’s Inaba’s doing, but it’s a problem. It’s by far the biggest dinosaur I’ve seen. Its sole existence is causing massive earthquakes around the island, which not only have destroyed a lot of its infrastructure but also keep the digimons from the other tribes scared and hidden. Finding a way to stop this monster could really help us get those valuable allies we need out of their hideouts and, if this thing is working for Unaba, it’ll mean taking a valuable asset away from them. This is compulsory; there’s no way we can save this island with this massive thing walking around. What’s the plan? I’ve found a single spot Ultimate Brachimon seems to be guarding. You must get in there, gather all of the information you can, and stop this thing. If you like adrenaline, this is your task. Make sure to have a good thinker on your team, though. I have the feeling you’ll need it.
The photos that can be found inside the folder show multiple areas of the beautiful Idayi island, a notoriously massive monster spotted in all of them. In some of the pictures, you can only see its tail or one of its legs. In a picture taken from a distant plateau, you can see the entirety of this creature. It’s truly gigantic. 3. – The Mysterious Ship You open the Mysterious Ship Folder.
Priority: Secondary.
Summary: I don’t have a lot of info about this one. The cameras have detected a ship docked on the shore not far from Binagi Village, one of the villages that used to be inhabited by one of the other tribes. I have no idea who came in this ship and what are they doing here, but I can tell you one thing: My dinos didn’t have any ships. Whoever this is, they came from far away. Are they friends or foes? I totally think a potential ally or enemy needs to be looked into but… I also don’t feel this one is essential to complete the mission. Personally, I, wouldn’t leave it unattended, though.
The folder contains a single picture. It seems to be taken from a palm tree on a beach. On the blue sea, a massive, wooden ship with black sails can be seen. Not a lot more to see.
Time to make decisions! ALL: You received Inventory x 1! Post order for the next round (randomized): 1) Manami 2) Aizawa Hisato 3) Sasha Robinson 4) Kenny O'Hara 5) Yoshimura Daichi

Post by Manami on May 18, 2021 1:50:53 GMT
It all had begun when a certain pair of orange-haired sisters were traversing through the merciless north, all in the search for their ultimate destination. Mana stood in front of her sister, kneeling in an imploring posture. “Now, respond to me. Oh, Great Tempest Monarch. Please, comply with my request!” A pause for obvious suspense followed. “How many dominions, just how many realities separate the Rightful Heirs of the Hurricane from the realm they seek?” Disembodied and invisible hands began clapping behind her enthusiastically, and the characteristic sound of people being moved to the point of tears followed suit. Least to say, Nami was thoroughly unfazed at her sister’s theatrics, even though no gesture responded to the plea. “Repetition. Mana-chan has asked the same question for the seventh time already. We’re still a fair distance away from the city we seek.” A pout was evident on the older twin’s face, something which coincided with the clap of thunder not very far away. “It is my desire to reach our destination at once! I should execute this treasonous land for keeping us away from our goal!” A sigh followed suit; yeah, that’d be a very productive endeavor. “Pointlessness. We would be closer if Mana-chan didn’t interrupt our journey through her theatrics or tantrums. Has Mana-chan considered letting those habits part?” Another thunderclap. Somebody was definitely not happy about the response. Or, were they? “Ah, yes! I expected such an answer from The Demon of Pragmatism herself! Your words are most wise, yet confined between the boundaries of practicality, you see…” A collective ‘ ooooh’ resounded around the duo. “No epic foray partaken by The Twin Heroines of the Storm has the right to be bland and languid! Adventure calls to us, and as such, it should be adrift with marvel and excitement! I won’t allow for fate, or the hand behind it to spread its foulness on the grand design intended for us!” Before Nami could issue an appropriate reply to such a comment, both her and her sister’s D-Terminal began to beep rather frantically, and without any special effects involved. Both girls instantly interrupted their banter in order to check what the message was about. In all fairness, neither received messages very often. “Aha, told you! You would do well to listen to the wise words of The Firstborn of Tifón, sister of mine! The Hand Beyond has decided to quell my desire, and has put a golden opportunity in front of us. We shall part at once!” However, Mana found herself talking to no more and no less than the empty spot her sister had occupied previously. A shocked expression took over her features, even though it gave way to pretty rotund pout. “Hey, Nami-chan. You could wait for me at least, you know? Jeez…” Despite accepting at different times, both sisters appeared at the same time, kicking up a cloud of dust with some pretty nice background music, even though the act probably wasn’t striking enough in the messy and dimly illuminated room. While Nami was standing as a prim and proper lady as her eyes scanned around, Mana was striking a pretty fancy pose, even though it deflated fairly quickly as she sighed. “Shucks. One would think that being as important as we are, we would get a warmer welcome, or at least something better than this sewer…” There were more beings around them, and somebody that clearly looked like the person who’d sent the summons. The human woman seemed fairly shaken, but otherwise relieved that her ‘plan’ had worked. Nonetheless, and before she began explaining the details about her plans, Mana snapped her fingers to give some more illumination to the derelict place. What could be said about the whole deal? In short, that it was lengthy, almost otherworldly so; after the third minute or so, these concepts were flying over the older twin’s head as she desperately tried to chase the boredom away. She had considered randomly using some of her funnier sound effects, but she was also cognizant of the fact that would probably mean that Kenna would have to explain the same concept all over again, so it’s not like it’d make time pass any more rapidly. Luckily, Nami seemed to not mind the titanic explanation, so her sister just began browsing what was inside the laboratory, and if there was anything worthy of her attention. With any luck, the woman’s explanation would finish before Mana was done with her small tour. Well, maybe Kenna was still halfway there, but at least she had managed to stand up! Not to say that, disguised digimon had gotten back by the time the so-called ‘inventories’ were introduced. At least those seemed interesting enough! And, she could take as many as she needed! Least to say, a quick hand made a gesture to snatch the entirety of them. “Sounds like reward enough to me! I shall put these to good use!” Yet, for some reason, Nami didn’t seem all that impressed at the gesture. “Advice. Nee-san…” It was almost as if she had predicted that only one was meant for each of them, despite Kenna’s words. Mana’s expression brightened at the sheer intelligence her sister was displaying, up to the point angels themselves seemed to praise such an act. “Ah, I see. Nothing less should be expected from somebody whose wits are sharper than the Goddess of Wisdom’s! Very well then; I feel benevolent, so I shall pick a pair for ourselves, then let our dubious comrades pick theirs as well.” It was a pity that there wasn’t an orange marble for Mana herself; the crimson one would do, while Nami probably preferred the silver one. Those would be the ones the sisters would use. “Are we good to go, then?” There were no special effects this time, yet Nami’s words might as well have them inside Mana’s mind. The atmosphere darkened and her expression grew unreasonably severe as she responded. “Denial. We haven’t gotten to the mission briefing yet, Nee-san.” Tense suspense descended to the room, following by the only possible special effect that could describe the situation. Least to say, the older sister knelt in despair at such an event. “No. It can’t be…” Theatrics aside, the explanation moved on normally as the diverse functions the inventories had, among other things. Apparently, they were getting in place where they’d depend mostly on their wits, wouldn’t they? That seemed fair for them; they had done so for the longest time, all things considered. This so-called restriction wouldn’t affect how they operated all that much. Once some of the functions were detailedly exposed, yet before Mana could once again ask if they were ready to go, it seemed like it was time for introductions yet again! A dinosaur that had a lab coat, a funny hat, and a pointer and had first appeared through holograms proceeded to introduce himself with some… pretty outrageous claims that seemed to be fueled by extreme ignorance. Mana stared blankly at the Agumon, then at Nami, then at the Agumon, then at Nami. The agumon seemed cheerful and oblivious at his words; expected. Nami’s face, on the other hand, was an image of perfect stillness. She looked perfectly serene, and even the corners of her mouth were slightly curling upward. Yep, she was absolutely livid. Mana dared not use any special effect to signal such an event; she definitely didn’t want to find herself in the crossfire of what was about to happen. Nami gave two steps in the Agumon's direction, her smile growing a bit as she addressed him. “Sugestion. That is a very interesting theory, Bon-san. But, if you let me give your input on it.” The heaviness of the orange-haired girl’s expression was made evident from one second to the next. “I think the best use for it is to roll it into a ball and stuff your behind with it so it doesn’t see the sun’s rays ever again. Alternatively, I can just eliminate the organ responsible for spouting such egregiously offensive nonsense for good. How does that sound?” Huh. So, he had gotten away with just a warning. That was pretty lucky! Nami turned back to the group, donning her usual expression. Surprisingly, Mana had decided to listen to the rest of Kenna’s explanation, mostly because she’d rather do that than watch the possible result of an interaction that involved an angry Nami! By now, the files were being offered to everyone to check, and ultimately for them to make a decision regarding what they wanted to do, exactly. The older sister motioned the younger sister to follow as they checked the possible tasks to do, and after a brief consideration, their decision seemed fairly obvious. Mana stood by the center of the congregation, drums rolling before she spoke. “Listen, brave heroes! After careful consideration, The Heiresses of the Tempest have decided that the best way to engage this quest is to divide our forces in a two-two-one formation; in this manner, we’ll be able to tackle every objective in an efficient way and quickly reinforce the harder tasks as the easier ones are completed!” Solid, as far as planning went. “The Brightest Advisor in the entire creation has suggested for my sister and myself to head towards the section called Ozith Village! As World Disasters, our combined might is ample enough to handle the situation described there on our own. Yet, I respect everyone’s free wills and desire to redistribute yourselves however you wish. At least in our case, however, we’re not slowing our pace for anyone. Alacrity seems like the most important element when dealing with our mission, and as such, we can’t allow ourselves to slow down if we can help it.” Clapping erupted directly behind her, and even Nami seemed satisfied at the exposition. “We’d rather depart as soon as possible. But given the fact we were tasked to introduce ourselves first, we shall do so!” Another pose was struck, all while Nami maintained her composure despite the undoubtedly peculiar greeting effect. “I am The Firstborn of the Tempest and the Child of the Hurricane. The Heiress of Sunfall; my exploits are known through the land and beyond, and mere mortals tremble as soon as my name is uttered. My name is Mana Reines Sophia Chardelon El Nix!” On the other hand, Nami bowed slightly at everyone present, without any fancy effects involved. “Joy. It is a pleasure to meet everyone present. I am Nami-” Of course, such a simple introduction was immediately cut off by her sister. “Nami Ophelia Lucille Chardelon El Nix!” At the expressionless response from Nami, Mana kept going forward. “My sister shares many of my exploits and epithets, plus many others related to her keen intellect and calculating demeanor. Truly, she is a Demon of Rationality through and through!” An explosive sound effect confirmed her words before she gazed at everyone present with a confident look, all as Nami completely relegated the dialogue to her. “Very well then. Shall we part at once? Adventure awaits!”

Post by Hisato and Bad Company on May 18, 2021 4:18:30 GMT
Today was the day a story was to be told. A story, of course, can hold a myriad of beginnings, but all of those can ultimately lead to the same end. Remember this, dear reader, for today's tale is one of consequence.
Also, morons.
But mainly one of consequence.
The team that had mostly elected to refer to themselves as Bad Company (much to the chagrin of their leader, who preferred no name at all,) had been spending the day doing odd jobs within the desert. Namely excavation work at the Ancient Ruins--seeing what can be found and brought back and all.
It was a very run of the mill and, quite frankly, droll excursion, but it usually paid well, was relatively harmless, and a way for the three Digimon to further their abilities without needing to risk life and limb in pointless combat.
Well, Hisato had thought it pointless. The others didn't really care. He knew that Caine at least understood. Regardless, they had a decent haul from the Ruins, one that they had just finished hauling to the entrance of Rustport for the client, a Ponchomon who spoke in an accent that the esteemed author cannot really put down in this post. Why?
Because quite frankly, it is a tasteless gesture in writing, and serves to add nothing.
After all of that, the group had been prepared to call it a day--except it had not really been a day, had it? Only a few hours. A mere fraction of one. Such delusions had to wait, however. A beep on Hisato's D-Arc sounded off.
"That's not normal, is it?" Scarab would inquire, the blue Stingmon staring down at the D-Arc. There was someone on the screen speaking, yet...it was not able to be made out very easily. "Why are you asking me that?"
"Yeah, it's not like the Tamer has any idea how the thing he got involuntarily works or anything, gosh." Gyo piped up.
"Silence yourselves. There is someone speaking." Caine hissed.
There had been a prompt to accept. And something to resolve. Hisato accepted it. After all. His team. His call.
That was that, for the quartet of 'heroes', if one would be so generous to call them as such, were whisked away to a place far off from the desert.
So, for a summary of all of that?
Yes, they accepted. It was not as if the Aizawa was someone to ignore something that seemed to have been directed at him specifically along with a few others. "Hi. Good...whatever time it is." He stated as a greeting, the three rookies behind him remaining silent as they scanned the room. Good Homeostasis above! Who lived like this? What the hell?
There was very little to question with the explanations, but Hisato did reach out to take four of the marble-sized spheres, passing three out to the Veemon, the Wormmon (Scarab had dedigivolved upon coming here to save space,) and the Impmon in order. Caine had been about to inquire as to what the devices were for, but the short girl--her name was Kenna. She seemed very happy to see everyone, she quickly explained what they were.
"So...These are practically immutable. I see." The Impmon X mused. Gyo would nod. "Nice work if so. Totality in immunity is...actually kinda hard to come by these days." Scarab and Hisato meanwhile were quietly repeating certain terms to themselves for the sake of memorization. Idayi Island...That's where they were right now. No clue how far away from proper civilization they were, but...
There was likely little need to fret.
Plus with so many gathered, there was a lot of flexibility on what approaches could be used to get things done. Needless to say, there was a lot being said at once. A veritable verbal crossfire, if you would. Gyo looked at Bon dead in the eye and stated, quite flatly. "I am a paragon of being clean. Do not ever insinuate otherwise." Of course, this was met with a "Shut your trap, stinky." from Scarab. The Wormmon glanced to Nami. "Cut him some slack, princess. He'll either learn or not, it's really all on him. Plus, isn't being called clean like...a compliment?"
So, while Hisato decided to look through the folders, Scarab and Gyo decided to take on the task of introducing themselves. While Caine meanwhile remained with his contractor. "...Hm. Yes, this one may be pressing..."
"Agreed." Hisato nodded. "If it's no issue to everyone else, I'd like to dedicate my team to dealing with Ultimate Brachimon."
If there was nothing else there? "I was not given a name at birth, so I have elected to go with The Scarab, Son of Cloudsong, Heritor of Steel. Born to shit, forced to wipe. I am feared throughout the land as a mercenary that does not work on Mondays, and I also beat the shit out of a panther once. In front of dozens."
...
Hisato and Caine turned their heads to the Wormmon. Who was entirely serious with this. If one were to give the introduction of a chuuni as Mana had for both herself and her sister, one would be given one in return. Gyo then went afterwards in kind. "I on the other hand was given a name at birth. I am Gyo, Son of Cloudsong, Heritor of Plasma, and unlike my brother, I work whenever I damn well want. For I was born to carve the land in twain. Much like yourselves, my brother and I share many epithets, too many to be listed."
.......
Hisato was absolutely speechless, while Caine uttered a quiet "I fucking hate it here."
"...Are you two done yet? Please? For my sanity's sake? Pretty please?"
"No." Said the Veemon. Seriously, they were actually having a little fun with this! With a sigh, Hisato decided to conclude this himself, since obviously Caine did not want to follow that up with anything. "Those are my partners. Scarab and Gyo. My name is Hisato Aizawa. For those of you who I don't know, it's nice to meet you. For the one pair I do know, it's very nice to have you along. The Impmon X's name is Caine. He knows things."
Without further ado, they were pretty much ready whenever!

Post by Sasha on May 19, 2021 22:24:18 GMT
Click. Clack. Click. Clack. Almost like clockwork the pieces on the chess board moved, barely drowning out the quiet music coming from the speaker system on Sasha’s apartment located on the last floor of a building in a rather…let’s call opulent part of Shibuya. After a rather modest dinner and a couple of cups of red wine she figured the best way to wind down was to challenge her roomate to a quick game of chess. Three games in it was clear this had been a mistake if relaxation was her goal. She had met her match.
“Check.” The red beetle stated rather matter of factly as he placed down his tower, it’s small wooden sights ready to absolutely demolish Sasha’s king, and game. Rather than looking for a way to circumvent this, either because of the alcohol in her system or the rather straining length of their game finally cracked under the pressure.
“You motherf- how are you this good?! You literally started last week!” She exclaimed, getting up in a huff so quickly that Emil had to throw himself forward just to stop the board from flying away.
“I’m a quick learner.” The bug said, his unchanging face doing little to hide the rather smug energy emanating from him. “I do hope you’re not looking up strategies on that thing, that'd be cheating.” He added, noticing Sasha was looking down at her digivice. She cast an aside glance filled with annoyance, before turning her attention back at the screen in front of her.
“You know for a squire you’re awfully judgmental of your knight.” She remarked, turning the screen around so he could see it. There the tentomon would see…rather little of substance actually? A bunch of blurry footage and a small prompt to either accept or deny…something. “It’s a job offer, see?” “Barely. Looks more like you’re getting awfully creative at making up ways to bail out of a losing game.” Emil shrugged, leaning back on his seat again as he took a small sip of his own cup. Obviously Sasha wasn’t going to take that.
“You smug little…fine! Best of ten, then!” She said, eyes flaring with determination as she rapidly sat back down, pressing the “accept” button on her way down. In a flash of light she was gone before her rump reached her chair. The beetle stood quietly, staring at the lack of Sasha in front of him for a moment, before taking a longer sip from his drink, a somewhat annoyed sigh following suit.
“…I guess this means I have to clean the dishes again…”
It was…jarring to say the least for Sasha to suddenly find herself in such a dimly lit room, surrounded by a bunch of strangers (and Daichi) with little to no warning, suddenly being greeted by a purple haired girl who if nothing else at least seemed extremely happy to see the people present.
Though perhaps due to the slight traces of alcohol still in her system, perhaps working with Amy and the rest had just conditioned her this hard to expect anything at any time, but once the initial shock of being ported into a completely different location ceased all she was left with was a general feeling of…mild confusion and annoyance, but also one of genuine curiosity. This was a situation quite out of the ordinary even by the standards of the digital world, so you can bet she kept completely quiet as Kenna tried to explain what was going on in detail.
At least after they were all invited into picking one of the colored marbles Kenna was offering. She grabbed the pink “inventory” (obviously right after the twins grabbed all of them and put them back in their place), safely depositing it on a pocket of her red jacket. After that came an actual explanation of where they were and why and…it was a lot (and I do mean a LOT) to take in, to put it simply, so much so it would be a bit redundant to repeat it in a differently worded manner, seeing how this post is already pretty freaking long!
One thing was immediately clear however, both her would-be companions and mission control were…slightly eccentric, something even someone like her could pick up on. From Bon’s rather odd choice of compliments to Nami’s…complete refusal to take any of it in stride. The Russian could hardly fault her reaction, but it was clear the agumon meant it in the nicest way he could muster and with little to no ill intent, so she couldn’t really stay mad at the coat wearing dino.
“I mean I’ve certainly been called worse, so thanks Bon. I guess.” She said with a nod, not wanting to kick the well dressed lizard when he had been already knocked down a peg by one of the twins. Verbally, of course. And after that was done…well it came time for her to look over their choices on how to approach this problem plaguing the island. She glanced at the inside of each and every folder, stopping only for a moment to glance at the one involving a large, earthquake causing Brachimon, a quick shudder coursing through her as memories of a similar encounter played back in her mind.
“I’ll be honest, I already fought a Brachimon like that a good while ago and…it wasn’t that smooth of an experience so I’ll probably skip on that. That ship, however...” She mused. Seeing how the other two problems were already being picked by Mana, Nami, Hisato and his partners…well better to try and cover all of their bases, right? “I’ll be checking that ship out real quick. Anyone is free to come with but…sounds like it could potentially be the least dangerous one? All I’m saying is maybe the twins or the goonies over there will need more assistance than me.” Yet even as they all picked their preferred targets, they were still not done, after all they had yet to introduce themselves! There was a bit of an awkward, if amused silence from her as almost everyone that came before her had seemingly prepared a freaking speech for the occasion. Said silence only became more pronounced and awkward when the realization hit her that she was next. She sighed a bit, knowing nothing she could say could live up to…whatever those introductions were, but she tried nonetheless, putting on her best smile as she cleared her throat a bit.
“Hi everyone, name’s Sasha Robinson, Sasha Makarov for the friends (please don’t look that name up) but I’d much rather just Sasha. I work as the head of security for the city of Deep Lane, maybe some of you here have heard of it. There’s…not much else for me to add about myself really, I haven’t had a chance to practice an introductory speech. I don’t have any other super fancy titles or things to brag about but uh……I stabbed a guy once! In self defense of course.” She added perhaps a bit to casually, before stopping as realization hit her, her speech ever so slightly slurred as she muttered, “…right, probably shouldn’t have said that.”
“Oh right, guess it’s only fair I introduce my Spirit too since he admittedly does most of my heavy lifting in this place. His name’s Siegfried…” She started before pausing, nodding in silence not for dramatic effect but as if someone was whispering what to say into her ear. “…he’s the something something Captain of the something Legion…something about a long line of famous knights…and now he’s getting angry at me for ruining his intro, so I’ll probably leave the rest to your imagination. Bit full of himself but he’s a nice enough guy despite…yanno being dead and all. There’s another one there but we don’t really talk with him too much…he’s kind of an ass.”
“So yeah, hope we can all work together just fine and all that jazz!”

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on May 23, 2021 4:42:21 GMT
The Ys festival, fun as it was, could easily do numbers on a poor sap's pair of legs, for plenty of reasons. A perfect excuse for our duo to call it an early night this very night and retreat to their rooms within their private quarters and just rest their weary legs. With Skadi napping right next to Kenny, the young tamer wiled the night away in their warm and cozy room, playing a video game, as per usual. Even outside, the banter and the noise still managed to penetrate the walls a bit, but not enough to get them off their seat. No, rather, it was a simple beep emerging from their D-Nexus that managed to snap them back to reality, the Valaismon giving a small yawn as she groggily turned towards it, "...who's it from?"Kenny would be already on it as he grabbed his device and started to listen in on it, "I'unno, sounds like something like some chick's in danger or something. Don't know what though." Indeed, all they could hear from it was a loud bout of static that nearly drowned out the woman's distressed cries throughout, only to be unceremoniously die out and find herself replaced by a simple 'yes/no'-esque selection. After a few moments of staring at the options, he just turned to Skadi, "Should we?"
"I don't see why not," The Valaismon merely shrugged, "This festival's fun and all, but I'd like a bit of extra 'oomph' every now and again, if you know what I mean.""Yeah, I don't see why not." Kenny remarked as he pressed 'accept', "Besides, we've handled worse. What's the worse that could hap-"Perhaps it was a small mercy that nobody could possibly spot the sudden, brief flash of light from inside the room, much less even bother to notice what's going on; at that same moment, everything fell dead silent. "Mmmmrrrgh... w- what happened?"Perhaps Kenny should've kept his mouth shut when he made that previous statement; now he and Skadi were lying sprawled across the floor, while trying to recompose themselves inside what they swore was a lab, full of what looked to be a race of sentient multicoloured blob people. At least until they allowed themselves to blink a few more times to see who was in there. Skadi was the first to notice as her vision came too as she rubbed her ailing head and turned to a pair of a few familiar faces within a group of strangers, human and Digimon alike, "Hisato, Scarab... Gyo... Caine... what are you guys doing here-" Then it just clicked for her, "You- you guys got that message too, didn't you?"
"I think so." Kenny muttered, "I don't know why or how'd the mastermind here manage to do that with all these people at the exact same time. It just sounds too crazy to be true, if you ask me."He didn't need to wonder for long; soon enough, he and Skadi'd too end up face to face with the mysterious purple hair woman, and- wait, accept? Did all these people actually accept this odd request at the exact same time just so she could teleport them all to this exact same place? What the everloving hell was going on right now.The two had no choice but to get up and follow Kenna, their heads still spinning. After taking their own pair of spheres (one for each), and pocketing them, upon Kenna's request, the two would listen to what was going on, perhaps for the best so they could potentially understand what was going on indeed. At least the explanation on what the spheres could do and how'd they work would be enough to not make their already wracked brains melt into puddles of mush. Which was great, since that would make their introduction to Kenna's partner, Bon, go much more (relatively) smoothly. ...his choice of words aside, if Kenny walking over to him and patting him on the shoulder was anything to go by, "Oh, um, sorry to interrupt, Bon, but I'd think it's best to think out your words first before you speak up. Trust me, I can attest to that real easily, pal." Why, just ask Ryouta during the bleached mission.Ah, yes, the mission. Or rather, the missions. Again, on Kenna's request, the duo would listen intently and look at the folders in question; either tackle Ozith village and investigate the going ons, the Ultimate Brachinmon and defeat them, or the Mysterious Ship and find possibly a useful macguffin there. For a brief moment, Kenny bit his lip as he looked at the folders, thinking about what they wanted to do. Skadi, on the other hand, had already made up her mind. Rather than speak up to Kenna, she'd walk over to Sato and give a good tug on his shirt just to grab his attention, "Would it be fine if we went with you guys?"
"Yeah, uh, that doesn't sound too bad, actually." Kenny noted, "You guys seem to be great friends, so I think it'd be good to at least stick together for the time being, aye?" It didn't sound so dumb on paper; Skadi and Scarab did seem to trust one another, and both of them could easily throw their weight around when warranted. Oh yeah, introductions. Once the others had done their talking, he'd speak up as well, "Oh, I'm Kenny O'Hara, and that's my partner, Skadi. We're members of KIZNA's assault division, and generally... still trying to comprehend all this right now, apologies about that." Skadi would give a meek nod in response. "Yeah, but rest assured, we'll be back safe and sound before you know it! Trust us!"

Post by Daichi Yoshimura on May 23, 2021 18:16:54 GMT
Since the arrival of the twins Daichi's life hasn't change that much aside the "Northern Prominence incident" the young man has not step into the digital world too often and would rather spend time in the human world in his confort zone rather than fighting for his life against huge white gorillas with arm canons, although his partners convince him to go to their world from time to time and slowly walk out of the confort zone but it's taking a long time. Daichi made more progress adapting (as best as he could) to his world and his usual routine even getting the twins a pair of holosuits to disguise themselves, not the best kinds of disguises as they look like characters out of an anime rather than normal people but what can he do about it? He just sighed and allow it if it means they won't run away again and do whatever they want. So the trio was walking around the park looking for an open space to play with a soccer ball and enjoy some free time before heading back home when suddenly his digivice sounded and it seemed to be some kind of call for help although there was too much interference to truly understand, but the twins did understood and knew what this meant once the options to accept or decline showed up "SENSEI! Accept! This is the chance you've been waiting for!" Said Han eyes beaming with excitement "You can't deny the call for adventure when it literally ring for you!""No, don't pull that card on me, the cave prove that we are out of the big leagues besides you guys promise me we will start small before jumping head first into trouble" Daichi stood his ground although he had to give it to Han, it's literally calling out for him can he really turn down this opportunity now that its right on his face? "Well I'll argue that rejecting this would be dishonorable for all three of us, someone has ask for help and you would turn your back? I'll follow your orders master but I'll express extreme discomfort knowing that we could help and did nothing"
And just with that Jin solve the problem, Daichi wouldn't be able to rest knowing someone could be in problem and he did nothing about it, with a long sighed the young man tap the "accept" option and a flash of light took the trio off the park
After waking up in the dimly lit lab the trio felt a bit disoriented but quickly stood up and took a look around, it seems that they weren't the only ones called and while he didn't know most of the people around a small smile was drawn on his face once he spot Sasha, if anything at least he can be confident that the blonde would be of great help for whatever was happening here. As soon as the context was given and everyone accepted to help Kenna and the woman started her explanation of what this adventure was going to entail, Daichi put the soccer ball back on his bag and took out his notebook and pen to start writting all he could to not miss any information, he especially took note about how those marble inventory things worked and asked one of his partners to fetch one for them, too bad Han understood "fetch one for us" as just fetch one so they'll have to work with just the dark green one, hopefully it would be enough. Soon enough a dinosaur in a lab coat greeted everyone and commented on how clean and healthy everyone looked it was awkward to say the least and it didn't help that he said it as in "you don't look like crazy unstable people" "Should I feel praised?""I feel insulted""I don't know either... Let's let it slide for now and focus on the mission shall we?"
And so it came time to pick their part of the adventure, of course Daichi had his sight set on the ship one, since it wasn't as urgent as the other two it was obvious that the more capable individuals would take those two leaving the small one free for the trio to take and set sail into something easy and not that dangerous, of course he did not expected for Sasha to take said mission meaning that he would have to go to either the giant plesiomon whatever that was or walking into the dragon's lair... None of those sounded particularly fun to take nor he knew any of the ones taking those two missions (doesn't help that the chuuni introduction was a first impression that make Bon's statement of not being crazy fall apart) so Daichi did what he does best and remain silent until he was the last one to chose and without much choice he pick the Ozith Village with the girls that had the sound effets around them "Uhm... Hi, guess will be partners on this, my name is Yoshimura Daichi and these two are my partners" Said the teen and undo the twins holosuit revealing a Koemon and an Igamon with monkey like features "Sensei please, let us do our introduction" The Koemon raised his hand to stop Daichi to continue speaking "Luckily I'm always prepared just in case" Said the Igamon pulling a wooden flute and getting ready to play it "Hailing from the land of the rising sun two brave warriors walk the land in search for glory in battle, for we are non other than the great Monkey King Han and the walking shadow Jin, we are still a little green but mark my words as one day the legend of the Great Daichi Yoshimura head of the Yoshimura clan and his two apprentices will be heard all across both digital and analog lands, and the legend begins today with our heroic adventure into the enemy territory and we can't ask for better companions than the Childs of the Hurricane" The Koemon finished giving a bow in front of both girls. all while Daichi wonder if it was too late to go back and play soccer in the park "In any case, it's a pleasure to meet both of you, let's do our best and help Kenna regain control of the island"

“Ha! Look at that. They didn’t make introductions awkward at all.”
Kenna tilted her head, hoping the combat and mystery-solving skills of each and every member in this mission exceeded greatly their abilities when it came to issuing a simple introduction. That being said, she seemed kind of amused she had end up with such a… colorful squad. Speaking of colors! It would be better for everyone if they went through the colors they had to dial if they wanted to communicate with each of the members. Nami - SilverMana - ScarletDaichi - Dark GreenHisato - CobaltScarab - PurpleGyo - Light BlueCaine - WhiteKenny - Light GreenSkadi - TurquoiseSasha - PinkBon - OrangeKenna - Yellow These were the colors they were supposed to dial in their Inventories in order to speak to Bon and Kenna and between each other. They were like phone numbers, so it was probably a good idea to remember those. "Please do remember that, although Inventories have many features, they cannot open portals or transfer items from one Inventory to another, so in case you plan to split further, make sure to personally hand the item you need a member to carry to said member before splitting or they won't be able to have access to it when they most need it. Managing the items in your inventories and exchanging them at the right time will be crucial.
Once everyone had picked the leg of the mission they would take part on, things would move forward relatively quickly. If anything, they could dwell on how things had gone from there once they were already on their way to fulfilling their respective objectives. Trusting fully on the group’s sapience regarding their own skills, Kenna would nod and store the folders, making sure one member of each group kept the folder that corresponded to their mission. On that regard, Hisato and Kenny would receive one ‘Ultimate Brachimon’ folder. Nami and Daichi would receive one ‘Ozith Village’ folder, and Sasha would receive one ‘Mysterious Ship’ folder. From there, Kenna would lead the way to the outsides of the cabin, revealing how it was actually located on an islet; a very small piece of ground on the vast sea that only left space for this hut-laboratory and a well-sized ship. Their vessel didn’t look too different from a war-helicopter without airscrews, only fuel propellers on its back and lower side. Although climatic conditions on this particular islet seemed favorable, the sun rising on the horizon showed it was early in the morning. “Bon will go with you. I’ll be more useful here, controlling everything through the cameras across the island. Don’t worry, we’ll be in contact at all times through your Inventory. In case you need to speak to me or to any of the members, just dial for the color. Mine is yellow, Bon is orange. You can call us at any time, especially when you feel stuck. Just… don’t expect we tell you something useful if we don’t have more information than you have. If you shake the inventory enough, it will turn rainbow. If you use that frequency, you’ll be speaking to all of the members who pick up the call at once.” Once embarking, the ship would take off by itself, automatic pilot taking the wheel. At dawn we take off. After less than 5 minutes in the sky, Idayi Island would become visible through the clouds and the mist engulfing the sky. Although surrealistic, the process to go from up above the sky to the ground for each group would be quite short. For both the Ozith Village and Ultimate Brachimon group it would be very similar, too! Getting into a certainly smaller, spherical ship located inside the biggest ship itself, and being launched towards the ground. It was like skydiving but... less dangerous... probably. Hopefully. Right before impact, this smaller ship would decrease its speed dramatically through its own propeller, in order to guarantee a safe landing. Although the whole process would seem quite dangerous from the outside, the whole logistic behind every detail would probably help them feel safer. It certainly seemed like Kenna had not scrimped on safety measures. Exactly because of that, each group would find themselves at the start of their path to success (or demise) quite soon. Did it feel like it had gotten real already? Because their mission had officially begun. Ozith Village I. Not long after leaving their ship, the inventory of Mana, Nami, and Daichi would turn orange as it started beeping. This mean Bon was the one calling. That is how it worked, right? Quite simple. “Did you land safely?” “Are you sure you want to be the one talking to them? After what Nami said back at the laboratory…” Kenna would interfere for a second, revealing she was in the same frequency right now. “Huh? Oh! I didn’t understand a single thing she uttered, honestly.” Bon admitted, his voice sounding carelessly embarrassed, as paradoxical as that may sound. “They seem nice, though. Mana reminds me of some kind of superhero!” “You know they can hear us, right?” “Right, right.”“I’ll… take care of this one for now.” “Bye, bye!”
Kenna would clear her throat as a form of closure for this silly exchange, in order to make way for a more detailed explanation of the task they were about to face. “You probably can hear the sound of water falling by now. Ozith Village’s main defining trait are the three waterfalls surrounding it. The biggest of them stands right next to the main entrance of the village. Ozith is located within the only valley in the whole island, and these waterfalls are said to represent its protectors. Right now, you’re at the entrance of the valley, by the base of the mountain. This is the closest area I could find to Ozith that can also be considered a safe place for you. Taking all of this into consideration, I would say you have two ways of facing this: stealthy or careless.
A few meters ahead you’ll find the village’s main entrance. It is likely that one is well-guarded. That would be your way to go if you do not care about remaining unnoticed. Although, as far as I’m aware, Unaba never used to have a politic against foreign, I have no idea what they’ll do now upon finding beings that obviously do not belong to the island. Considering how they’ve been acting lately… I really can’t image what type of reaction they’ll have regarding visitors. That is something you'd have to find out yourself should you choose to just... walk in. Knowing how to negotiate might be even more important in this approach.
Regarding a stealthy approach, I do know there is a secret entrance through one of the other two waterfalls, so you can go east from where you’re standing to find it. Right now I'm not seeing any enemies that way, but you better keep your heads up anyways. As far as I know, not even the higher-ups from Unaba know about this entrance but… again, that might have changed. Without any doubt, you can expect less resistance if you pick this approach, but the way of entering from there may also be way more complicated.
If you want to explore a little bit before making a decision or if you want to split to take both different approaches, go ahead. Let me know when you have made a decision and I’ll try to provide more info about each approach. Also, dial yellow if you have any question.”For the time being, Daichi, Mana and Nami could, effectively, listen at water falling not far from them. The landscape was beautiful; this section of the island had a very lively nature, green plants and multi-colored flowers decorating the whole environment. The trees in this area looked certainly shorter than the ones they could observe from the ship up above. The whole scenery was beautiful, and the area seemed very quiet and relaxing. Maybe… too quiet. Ultimate Brachimon I. “Ultimate Brachimon squad! Can you hear me?”
In the case of the group in charge of stopping Ultimate Brachimon, things would be a little different. Their inventories would turn yellow as soon as they had landed, showing Kenna was trying to reach them; the scientist sounding a lot more agitated than when she explained the mission back at Cabin Islet. “Get ready. There are a couple of dinosaurs moving towards your location." Kenna sounded both puzzled and desperate for more information. "Ugh, what are those doing here!? I picked all landing areas making sure no digimon should go there.” They could hear Kenna smashing keys while she spoke. She sounded fretted. “One of them is from Unaba. I think he’s chasing someone… Let me see if I can find out who. Be careful out there.”Even if Kenna didn’t tell them this, it would be easy for them to notice something was approaching, as the sound of massive footsteps that made the ground tremble a little bit echoed throughout the jungle. These footsteps looped quickly, clearly revealing the creature responsible for them was running. They also became louder with each passing second, hinting the mighty creature was coming their way. Eventually, another set of footsteps would reach the ears of Bad Company, Kenny and Skadi. These were a lot simpler and faster, although the mighty roar caused by the running of the obviously bigger creature chasing them almost drowned the sound of these. It would be the responsible behind these smaller footsteps the first to come out of the thicket in the clear they occupied, a clear surrounded by tall, imposing trees populated with dark green leaves. Even if it moved quite fast, the group would be able to spot a digimon wearing what seemed like a Kendogu, its purple-ish tail coming from beneath the suit that didn’t even let them properly detail its facial features. The escaping digimon would zoom through the clear until finding the ship the group had arrived in on their way, forcing them to change their course to the left. With a massive creature so close behind, a change of directions meant losing some valuable seconds, a lost that was capitalized by their chaser. The fugitive’s way was now cut off by a massive object falling in front of them, causing a roar similar to what the steps of the dinosaur chasing him generated before. It was then when said monster entered the clear, too. The group would immediately identify a gigantic dinosaur coated with a dark-green armor. It stood in two feet, which helped him look even bigger and more threatening. It’s silver, long claws, were at least three times bigger than the ship they had took from Cabin Island and its blue eyes were bright, like a pair of pricey gems. Its more defining trait were its two long, edgy horns, which he seemed to have used to jut that tree that had worked as a barricade for the Kotemon. Knowing they had nowhere to go, the smaller reptile issued a sigh and seemingly prepared for battle, taking out a Shinai from the back of their suit and wielding it in front of their chaser. And then... ... The Inventory was beeping again! “Found it! The Kotemon's name is Bruga. She's from Hlonipha, one of the main tribes. The Triceramon chasing her is Gumo, he’s from Unaba.” The sole idea seemed to make Kenna sick. “Ugh. Why is he chasing her? What’s gotten into the Unaba members?” A couple of seconds of silence showed Kenna seemed to be getting a better grasp of the situation. “… I don’t think neither of them noticed you’re there yet. What to do about this is up to you. Hit me up if you have any question.” Mysterious Ship I. After the two other groups had been sent to the island in their own ships, Sasha and Bon would be the only ones left in the bigger ship, the one they had used to leave Cabin Islet. The Agumon Hakase had typed the coordinates for Binagi Shore into the central computer and the only thing that was left to do was waiting until it took them there. The landing was uneventful and the ship positioned right at the edge between the green grass of the jungle neighboring the beach and the golden sand itself. In this particular case, uneventful did not equal quiet, though. Bon had spent all of the landing process (and partially their way there, too) explaining to Sasha how he had calibrated this thing, after they had used it to escape the island in the first place and it had ended up quite damaged. He also took a moment to carefully explain why he was sure regular chocolate was a derivative from black chocolate and no the other way around, although that did not have anything to do with anything. He didn’t, however, get into any details regarding the moment they had to escape and how things get to that. Not that Sasha couldn’t ask, though. He just… spoke too fast. And a lot. As the Agumon Hakase shut the ship by typing a code into the door, he casually looked at their surroundings. “The beach is quite empty…” He noted. “It’s around 7 am. Under normal circumstances, digimon in Binagi Village would be coming to the beach to fish and get their food for the day.” His tone was a little dimmer than before. “I think the village is deserted by now, though. So… I guess it’s only natural this is empty too.” Some melancholy could be found in his voice. A tone denoting sadness that had not been spotted in the Agumon's demeanor since they had met. The sound of crashing waves and some birds singing at dawn was the only thing that would reach their ears. At the moment, not a single digimon was around. At the end other side of the shore, floating above the crystalline water that washed the sand, the gigantic ship they had come to investigate remained. Despite the old vessel that seemed to have being taken from a horror movie about zombie pirates, the beach was actually quite beautiful. Were it not for the dangerous mission ahead, anyone would want to come and vacation here. “The rest of the groups had to land at a prudent distance from their objectives, mainly to not raise attention or for security reasons.” Bon explained with a smile as they walked over the sand and towards the ship. “We’re the only group that could land this close to their landmark, mainly because there was no reason to think landing close could be an issue. Also, having the Head of Security of an important city on our team gives us all of the security we may need!” The Agumon seemed to show special excitement for the figure Sasha represented. “Having an ancient spirit on your side sounds awesome. Fighting is not a terrain where I feel very comfortable so… having someone to do the fighting for me would be convenient.” Bon took his right claw to the lowest edge of his mouth, almost like a pensive finger. “Although… that would make you Kenna and I’s spirit, right?” He smiled innocently. With that, they had gone through the beach and now stood right in front of the ship. The water of the ocean reaching their feet and washing the sand that, except for one green, tiny object encrusted within it that Bon didn't seem to have noticed, looked very uniform. Although standing much closer, the visual information they had was not that different from the info a picture could provide. No voices coming from the ship, no one standing on the deck (or at least from what they could see from down below), and no other notorious trait that could be easily spotted. If they lingered around the shore in order to inspect further, they would find only one of the old, circular windows to the cabins below deck open. “How do you want to do this? Do you feel like inspecting something in particular?” Bon asked. “I think Kenna told you everything she knows, in general terms, but… if you have an specific question, you can dial her color.” It's 6:51 a.m. The sun is rising and the weather is clear! Once introductions were done and everyone got their inventory marble it was time to start moving, Kenna clarified one more thing about them (specifically that there was no way of transferring items between them so they should be careful and mindful with the items and resources they pick) and offer folder with their mission to the participants of each leg, it would be helpful to have as a reminder especially the photos of Ozith village even if they're old it could help the group to identify landmarks.
In any case when everyone was settle the group move out of the "lab" and saw where they actually were, while Daichi thought they where in a hidden location on the Idayi island they were actually on a small islet with enough space for the cabin lab and the helicopter they would take to reach the island, to tell the truth all this felt like a setup for a movie that he would definitely enjoy watching if he wasn't starring on it right now (then again when surrounded by raptors it is preferable to be a main character in Jurassic Park than a secondary one).
After five minutes in the sky their vessel reached their destination from there to descend each group boarded a smaller spherical... Thing for a lack of an actual word for it, if Daichi had to explain it he'd call it one of those saiyan space ships from that one famous manga series, it was at this point that the young man started to wonder if all this was made by Kenna alone or if she work with a group or something to get all this technology and resources at her disposal.
Finally they landed and after taking a quick look to gather his surroundings the one thing that got the young man's attention the most was the sound of running water almost as if a waterfall was nearby but before he could say anything the inventory marble Daichi had started beeping, Han quick on his feet took it from his tamer's pocket and answer the call of Bon that Kenna took care immediately at least the monkey got to say "Bye bye!" With a cheerful smile to the dinosaur before the woman started the conversation.
The woman explained that right now they had two options, the careless way which meant walking directly into the village and hope they are willing to listen foreign travelers, the other option was the stealthy as there was a secret entrance to the village through one of the waterfalls just to the east of where they landed, this meant that while less protection than the main gate if they are caught the chances of negotiating would be almost null.
"So... What are we going to do? I vote for careless!" Han started jumping like an excited little kid, of course the monkey would pick the choice that meant telling everyone they are there
"I disagree, we should take the stealth option, going into enemy territory without a plan will be of not benefit to us" Said Jin going against his sibling choice as expected, of course once both had said their idea they turn to Daichi for the final word
"I'm not sure to be honest... I feel I'd rather go stealth, I'm not confortable going into the dragon's lair just like that, we are not sure if they will receive us with open arms we are not dinosaurs like them after all so our presence alone would raise flags" Even if Kenna said that there was no politic against foreign things could've change since taking over "What you girls think?" He looked at Mana and Nami.

"You have my sincerest apologies for that, Bon, Kenna. I...um. I was not expecting the chuuni syndrome to become contagious."
"Aye. We did. Fate works in odd ways." Caine clarified, rather quickly for Kenny and Skadi. "Get your bearings and listen closely, 'kay?" Gyo nodnodded. Of course, when everything had concluded and everyone was figuring out where to go, Hisato found himself confronted with whether or not to allow Kenny and Skadi to come with.
This was a very simple question to answer, really. "Sure. You've been at this longer than I have, and you've probably been to more places. So, two thinkers is better than one for this sort of thing." The Aizawa stated, giving Kenny and Skadi a thumbs up. One that was echoed by Gyo and Scarab, too.
Well, not by Scarab. He doesn't have thumbs. What a goddamn loser! Otherwise, the group would be examining their inventories closely and taking note of the colors. Hisato would make a point to hand Kenny the Ultimate Brachimon folder once it was entrusted to him. "Hand it back when you think you've got the objectives down pat--I think one of us should keep it handy. Maybe."
Uncertain. But yeah. The four would follow Kenna and everyone else out of the cabin. "Oh, damn, this is...I hadn't been expecting this." Gyo stated, staring out at the open ocean beyond. Huh. "You really don't see the oceans that much? ...Sheesh, you need to get out more." Scarab commented idly as they set out upon the ship.
Hisato was more curious as to how the hell it was early morning when it was noon when they had accepted the invite. Of course, he chalked it down to timezones. They may have been a thing within the Digital World.
Being dispatched was an experience in and of itself, one that left Hisato on the ground with Kenny, Skadi, and all three of the Digimon who had decided to hang around with him for whatever reason or another. "Once more unto the breach..." Caine muttered.
Hisato'd answer his inventory, as would everyone else that the author controlled (all three of these chucklefucks), to find that...Dinosaurs were already heading their way? "That was fast...We'll be careful. Promise." He'd speak into the orb.
Scarab would crouch down into a defensive position as the noise reached his ears, as would Gyo and Caine. In time, a sight would be identified, first in the form of a Kotemon. This was something Hisato pinpointed immediately--one of his cousins mentioned that his sister had a partner like that.
Neat? Neat.
Next, a Triceramon. Bruga and Gumo, respectively. There was an idea Hisato had...So he'd run it by Kenny and Skadi first. "So, idea, we intervene and try driving Gumo back. Then we see if we can't talk to Bruga. That sound good?"
"If we're intervening, we ought to act quick." Scarab noted. "Equalized levels or not, a scuffle may well break out at any moment."
...Another idea. Hisato would speak into the inventory. "Is there anything you can tell us about Bruga, Kenna?"

Post by Manami on May 25, 2021 5:28:38 GMT
With the introductions out of the way, and their goals clearly laid out and picked, it seemed like Mana and Nami would collaborate with the human called Daichi Yoshimura and his digimons, Jin and Han. Nami acknowledged their greeting by bowing towards the trio, all while Mana seemed somewhat dismissive of the whole deal. Probably cuz her wishes hadn’t been respected. “Agreement. It will be pleasure to work together with you all. Let’s ensure we follow through with our part and finish our assignment flawlessly.” Not much else needed to be said, and soon enough, even more explanations were in order, this time regarding the use of inventories. It was a shame that Bon had stolen Mana’s rightful color, but there wasn’t a lot that could be done about it. After all, bullying for an exchange would’ve been a bit on the petty side, wouldn’t it? That aside, the girls and Daichi’s group received a folder. However, there was a small problem regarding that. “Confusion. The OOC notes mention that Nee-san received the folder, but the narrative states that I did. Which is correct in this case?” Least to say, the invisible crowd behind Mana was quite shocked at the revelation. “I can’t believe I lowered my guard thinking that we were safe here.” That expression gave way to a confident smile. Mana seemed completely undeterred! “Your observational skills are as sharp as always! This is a challenge from the god of trickery himself! Worry not, sister of mine, I have foreseen such ambushes, and have prepared adequate countermeasures!” Which were, of course, opening both inventories, making sure that the folder was actually in Nami’s inventory, then closing them again. Good? Good. Once that was taken care of, everyone was shown the vessel that would get them to their destination and that Bon would accompany them in their trip much to Nami’s chagrin. Everything else seemed pretty standard indications. It had been a short trip overall, but it seemed like both daichi’s trio and the sisters had reached their location without much issue. That was a good thing! What wasn’t exactly the best of things, at least when it came to Nami, was that she was beginning to find Bon’s presence grating… well, at least up to the point where he began to show respect to Mana. She could accept that. “Ah, I see.” She stopped herself from triggering an explosion only because they were in the heart of the enemy territory. “A young pupil has decided to tread the same path as myself. Very well then, I’ll allow it! From now on, you shall be known as the Rising Hero, Bon Valleon Stronoff! Carry your title with pride and strive towards your goal with determination.” The following explanation wasn’t as entertaining, but definitely on the necessary side. Some much-needed tidbits were given, and the options had been presented in a clear and concise way. It was now on them to decide what to do regarding them and, of course, to choose what they perceived was the most promising course of action. Both sisters considered their options in silence, at least until Daichi’s team intervened, already possessing fully formed arguments regarding the path to take; they brought some valid points, some reasonable takes, and some recklessness mixed in. Sure, they could work with that. Nami gave a look around before beginning to speak. “Briefing. I think that we should scout the area around us first in order to find anything of possible importance. The human gave us detailed explanations of what to expect, but we are running the risk of that information being outdated, so we should probably try to gather as much information as we can before beginning this mission in earnest.” The younger sister seemed to be deep in thought; that moment was seized by Mana to speak. “I see that our biggest foe will be splitting ourselves in order to carry this mission as efficiently as possible. Putting all our eggs in the same basket incurs a higher risk of failure, doesn’t it?” “Argumentation. That should be correct; I feel like splitting our forces would be for the best once we are done gathering the necessary information. Not only a smaller force is harder to detect, but the negotiators will at least be able to distract some of the possible sentries with their presence. Reducing our range of options does not sound like a very smart thing to do.” She made a pause before continuing. “Once we are done scouting, unless something worthy of our attention catches our eyes, Nee-san and myself will get the villagers’ attention. Seize the opportunity to infiltrate.” Mana seemed to be excited about the plan, nodding energetically at those words. “Don’t worry about us, by the way! We’re more than able to defend ourselves in case things go in a less-than-optimal way. Time to get our small operation underway!” If Daichi had agreed, the sisters would deactivate their holosuits, revealing two small, cat-like digimons in their wake. The felines would begin scanning their surroundings in hopes of finding anything worthy of their time. But if both them and Daichi failed, they’d gesture at the human to get in position while they moved towards Ozith Village’s main gate. When ready, Mana’s presence would become as glaringly obvious as a sore thumb, almost as if an army were marching where she stood. “Listen, noble villagers of Ozith! We have traveled a long distance after hearing of your reality-defying exploits on this island. I come with a humble request!” The words were accompanied with fitting music. “My sister and I wish to join your tribe and learn the ways of the strong. Please, admit us in!” Admittedly crude, but if these dinosaurs valued strength above everything, such a greeting could probably pass, couldn’t it? They’d see soon enough.

Post by Kenny O'Hara and Skadi on May 25, 2021 7:59:20 GMT
Perhaps it was due to their own gut feeling or a sense of trust between the two tamers, but to both Kenny and Skadi, it'd be better to at least stick with a familiar group the two were already well-acquainted with (especially with Skadi and Scarab), rather than hedge their bets with strangers, and, despite his own concerns to potentially live up to Hisato's expectations starting to bubble up inside him, Kenny would give an approving smile towards him. "Of course! Besides, KIZNA policy does say that you shouldn't do work solo, and we're friends! I promise you, we won't let you down!" Skadi would follow that up with an affirmative nod, although those with a particularly keen eye may have noticed her looking at Scarab instead. The young man would take the Brachimon files upon request from Hisato's hands, "Thanks man. Maybe I'll read it on the way there. Hopefully."With that, as they walked out of the 'lab' and towards the ship, the tamer putting the files away in his sphere, at least for now, he'd give a little whistle as he and Skadi found themselves greeted by seemingly endless ocean, "Man, this place feels more like a deserted island, if you ask me." "You're telling me." Skadi noted as Kenny moved into his seat before pulling her up, "I don't think I can see any land for miles..."
Of course, Kenny was a man of his word. During the ride upon the ship, he'd quickly read through the Ultimate Brachimon file alongside Skadi, jotting down every detail in his mind, before handing it back to Hisato with a quick, thankful nod, just before they were due to land ashore onto terra firma itself. Once on land, however, and given the time to adjust to their surroundings, a call from Kenna would emerge from their spheres, revealing that what dinosaurs were charging at them already hold on what what the hell was going on? Of course, it'd be hard to ignore the rumbling and the footsteps emerging as the duo glanced towards the source, before Kenny went to reaffirm Sato's words, "Don't worry about us. We'll be back before we know it."As for Skadi? Well, like the other three Digimon, she herself would also go onto the defensive stance, readying herself for whatever was coming their way; firstly, the fleeing Kotemon, Bruga, blocked off by a massive obstacle in her way, and secondly, the attacking Triceramon, Gumo, hot on her trail. Neither had noticed them yet. Perfect for Sato to run down his idea towards Kenny safely. "I like the way you think, man." Kenny gave a small smile as his Digivice started to flash a bright white, "'sides, we've handled way worse than this. Skadi, ready to do your thing?"The Valaismon could only give a confident grin as she pumped her fist, as the bright light enveloped her body. In her place, the SilverGrademon's eyes gave a small glint of determination, "I was born ready." Quickly, she'd dash off, a sphere of glowing light already forming in her palms, and far from the Triceramon's side. In rapid succession, she'd 'toss' the sphere, only for it to transform into a massive whip of light, rushing towards Gumo at high speeds. Had everything gone to plan, not only would the whip itself shock the Triceramon on contact, it would also tie around his neck, potentially choking him and holding him in place as she'd pull as hard as she could to try and throw him to the ground in the process - and potentially giving her allies an open goal. No matter the result, the SilverGrademon would turn her head towards Bruga, "Move out of the way! We've got this under control!"...well, hopefully.
In order to buy time for Bruga to escape, and Scarab and co. free attacks, Skadi goes for a literal chokehold with her Fouet Brillant attack, pulling at the whip in order to choke Gumo, hold him in place, and potentially toss him to the floor. Fouet Brillant (RAM Upgrade): Skadi summons a glowing, long range (up to 50m) light energy whip to constrict, strike at, and attack the opponent, allowing Skadi to grab and toss them with ease, trip them up, bind them or whatever. Grabbing onto the whip for opponents is impossible, as touching it will burn the opponents hands, inflicting a little bit more damage to them. Enemies hit by this whip lose 5% of their current stanima (+5% per token from the Buildup passive). (3 post cooldown) Passives:Buildup (Passive): For every post that Skadi does not directly attack the opponent with an ability, she gains a token. This token increases her attack by 10%, up to a total count of 4 tokens. These tokens cannot be taken off by the opponent, nor can these boosts be reduced by any attacks or passives from any opponent. (For example, simply using her swords to parry the opponent or merely swinging her sword to attack will not affect Buildup. Using Dual Striker or Sliver Breaker does)
Keen Eye (Passive): Being a skilled swordswoman has it’s benefits. So that means that she gets a 1.3x boost to accuracy. This also allows her to see perfectly fine where she otherwise wouldn’t, including fog, smoke, and other weather conditions. Active Buffs/Debuffs:N/A Cooldowns:Fouet Brillant: 0/3

Post by Sasha on May 26, 2021 18:59:22 GMT
Once everyone had picked their target and were each left close to their respective locations, only the Russian and agumon were left on the transport ship with the course set to the mysterious ship. At the very least Sasha was somewhat grateful that she didn't have to investigate the slightly out of place ship on her own, even if she doubted Bon would be of much help in a fight. She didn't quite register or understand most of Bon's technical talk about calibrations or the like, but by the end of it she was left pondering quite a few things regarding chocolate, so much so the sudden craving for a sweet chocolate bar pretty much blocked out any questions she might have had on the way there.
She did however, caught his otherwise chipper tone lowering significantly as he noted the absence of...well anyone from the near village. That change in tone was not lost on Sasha, who looked away from the otherwise deserted shore and back to the orange dino.
"Was there anyone you knew on that village, Bon?" She asked cautiously, unsure if she should even be asking something rather personal, but not wanting to just ignore it either.
Regardless of any possible answer, they would make their way closer to the ship, thankfully it being as much of an uneventful walk as the boat ride before it.
"Ah shucks, it's not that big a deal." She said with a chuckle, not wanting break it to Bon that being head of Security was less about bashing heads, and more about paperwork. A lot of paperwork. "You're right though, place doesn't seem to be all too guarded." Surely if there was anyone aboard up to no good they would have done...something about them by now, right?
As for the agumon's comment about Sasha being his and Kenna's Spirit, well she couldn't help but laugh a bit. "I guess you could say that. Really I guess I'm more of the partner while you guys are the Tamers. Having a spirit is less about having someone fight for you and more...you fighting side to side, except you occupy the same space simultaneously?" She shook her head, realizing putting the whole experience of merging with a spirit into words was harder than she thought. "That made more sense in my head, sorry."
Having said of that, did she have anything she could ask Kenna about before starting her work? "Nah, I can't think of any good questions anyhow. At least not for her." She replied to Bon with a shrug, walking to one side and then the other, trying to find a good entrance point for the ship. Sure, if she tried hard enough she could probably just jump on board while in spirit form, but something told her it was worth it to at least attempt a subtler approach for now. After all if there was someone aboard that ship they would probably react rather poorly to a random digimon loudly landing on their ship. Not that getting caught sneaking was much better, but at least that one had a chance to not be noticed at all.
"First off we should probably look for a way aboard." It didn't take too long to notice a circular window open somewhere below the deck of the ship. Probably leading into a cabin judging by the rows of closed but otherwise similarly circular windows next to it. Her lips curved into a smirk. "Right on cue. Come on, let's see if-" She said as she turned her head back to Bon, before stopping as her gaze trailed off to a point just behind the dino. There she noticed a rather conspicuous looking green...thing barely poking out from the sand on the beach.
She squinted a bit but couldn't really make out any details about it from that distance, so she approached and crouched next to the odd object, motioning with her hands for Bon to get close. Curious she tried poking it, only to find it impossible to move from its spot. Whatever it was, it was apparently but a small part of something larger that was buried in the sand.
Extracting her Inventory from her pocket she shook it for a moment until it turned yellow. Feeling just a tad silly for speaking into what looked like a fancy magic 8 ball, she said, "Hey Kenna, we're at the beach with the ship right now. It pretty quiet so far so I'm going in but...there's this green thing buried in the sand here. Got any idea what that could be about?" She asked while also giving an aside glance to the agumon, clearly inviting him to speak up if he knew anything about this as well.
Yes, Sasha was all too painfully aware this could simply be a waste of time and be nothing, but she was sent to investigate and see what was up and she was certainly going to do so.

Set for one fall. “In many occasions, you will find or be told important information that you'll need to use later on to progress in your mission. I cannot always hear what you're hearing or, even worse, you may be unable to reach either Bon or me at some point. In some other occasions, maybe the situation will require you to use this information quickly. For any of these scenarios, the best thing you can do is writing down the information you consider important in your inventory as you probably will not be able to look it up later unless you type it yourself. To access the notepad, simply squeeze the inventory marble tightly. A holographic screen with a keyboard will deploy in front of you so you can type whatever you want. Everyone, I cannot stress this enough: you may NOT be able to look this up in the place where you received the information before unless you type it down yourself. I mean it, the information may not be there anymore when you go check it out. I hope you can perceive what this means in every sense of the expression.
Do not worry, though, you won’t have to type down everything. Just those things you feel you may need to know in the future. These are usually quite easy to spot when being told to you. Of course, if you feel you can remember them later on or you just want to type them somewhere else, that’s fine too! I just wanted you to be warned about this.
Feel free to dial yellow if you have any further questions. Good luck out there!”Clarification. With that warning out of the way, it was also important to point out the folder for Ozith Village was totally in Nami’s inventory. Ozith Village II. Before ultimately deciding to split in order to tackle the mission in stealth and careless groups separately, Daichi and the two sets of twins would have to harvest the results of their research around. Granted, it wasn’t a numerously rewarding result, but there were some things to observe. First of all: there were footprints all over the soil. They seemed to show a large number of creatures had transited this path. Some were huge, and others were very small. Although some of them were scattered erratically, the vast majority of them seemed to point towards the village, almost as a large number of diverse dinosaurs, dragons and reptiles had entered Ozith not long ago. Even if it wasn’t hard to tell they were a lot of footprints now, it was likely they had been even more in the past, the most sensitive paws and noses (like the ones of Meicoomons) would be able to detect the earth was moist and muddy, so some of these could have been erased by the climatic conditions. As they moved forward towards the entrance of the village, the second thing worth noticing was that, although the landscape was still beautiful, some trees seemed to have bruises and slashes engraved on the wood, also following an erratic pattern. Some (although few, in comparison) of them were even chopped down. The grass around certain areas looked sliced and certain parts of the ground seemed to sag into small slumps around separated areas. Were these the sequels of a battle? What kind of confrontation could have taken place here? No more clues could be found laying around. Daichi, whose group had decided to approach this stealthy, would find his inventory beeping yellow soon, once the twins had split. “Daichi, your group must move from your current position to start circling around the village. I’m trying to look up in my notes for the waterfall with the secret passage, but… I don’t think I’ll find exactly which one it is. If you start moving east, you’ll first find Kekeli Waterfall, the smallest of the three. Then, if you keep going through the same path, you’ll find Cini Waterfall. Eventually, you’ll be back where you started, a few meters behind the main waterfall, Uyise Waterfall. Mana and Nami are about to go next to that one. I’m sure the entrance is in one of the other two, though… I just couldn't tell which one.” Again, Daichi would most likely hear Kenna typing in the background. “I still cannot find any potential obstacle in your way. However, as I explained in the file, my access to the information within the valley is limited, so tread carefully. Good luck.” As expected by Kenna’s instructions, the path to follow would be relatively empty and quiet. As the sound of the main waterfall near the landing site started to vanish behind them, the sound of Kekeli Waterfall upfront would start reaching them. Eventually, they would reach the clear with the imposing, gigantic waterfall ahead. The cascade fell into a small lake, where the depth of the water was unknown, at least for now. With how massive it looked, it was probably hard to imagine how big Uyise Waterfall was, for this to be one of the two that qualified as smaller. The edge of the lake was surrounded by multiple beds of tropical flowers and a sign by the side of the road that led to it. Said road bifurcated in two more that reunited at the other side of the lake, only for the pathway going around the perimeter of the village to continue. Nami and Mana, on their side, had moved forward, going next to the certainly more imposing Uyise Waterfall, the main waterfall at the entrance of Ozith. At the lake where the cascade broke, they could spot a couple of Psychemons fishing. An ambient of absolute peace enfolded this whole area. Said sensation wouldn’t be too different when entering the village itself. The sisters would find a tranquil village, where the houses were small huts made of clay, with some slightly taller buildings, made from the same material, breaking the otherwise harmonic distribution. By the west side of the village, there seemed to be a market, with multiple stands where digimon seemed to sell all types of products. It did seem, however, that from any point of the village the majestic waterfall next to the entrance was visible, and even hearable too! So that definitely added even more harmony to the already peaceful scenery. The only element trying to break this peaceful atmosphere? Mana marching in and yelling. Luckily, not even this was enough to break the calmness of Ozith and its villagers. Some of them simply turned to see the Meicoomon for a second, before returning to their daily tasks with normality. “… What is… going on here? Where are all of the digimon they took?” Kenna would sound puzzled, to say the least. She was able to partially see what the sisters were seeing from the camera in the inventory. “This is… definitely way different from what I expected. Listen, I’m 100% sure they took the members of the other tribes here. They have to be somewhere.”Eventually, a voice would reach Mana and Nami. “So you’re new around here?” Behind them, a very strange digimon stood. It looked like a dinosaur, but it seemed to be made of toy blocks. Furthermore, these blocks seemingly made of plastic were… transparent. “Did you say you want to join Unaba?” The toy dinosaur leaned forward, tilting his head and blinking a couple of times. “It… does seem like you have traveled a long distance. What are you, anyway?” He wondered as he closely seemed to study the fur that covered these beings. Then, he took a few steps back, after seemingly reaching some type of conclusion. “Are you friends with that science Wanyamon?” He asked. Ultimate Brachimon II. The scuffle Scarab had mentioned seemed to be breaking out already. Although the light of evolution raised Gumo’s attention, the Triceramon couldn’t react on time to the SilverGrademon’s swift movement of her whip. “W-Wh…?” The monster uttered when seeing the lightning rope flying towards him, shocking him on touch and wrapping around his neck. The shock hit perfectly, energy engulfing the Triceramon’s body from his neck down and stunning him for a moment. When pulling from him, however, Skadi would find an evident impediment. This thing was way too heavy. Even if the SilverGrademon’s technique was set to make it easier for her to move around and even throw the enemies wrapped around it, something was clearly not working. “Sure. Hold on…” Kenna would quickly reply to Hisato’s inquiry, typing on her computer. Meanwhile, Bruga would look at the SilverGrademon aiding her. Although her expression was not visible through her uniform, her body language did show surprise from this sudden apparition. At first, she didn’t reply to the order issued by the warrior, standing back and watching the battle develop. It was then when Triceramon took the chance to rush forward, trying to ram against the digimon wielding her Shinai. Bruga gasped and seemed to take a fighting stance again. In a second, her body turned into a rapidly disappearing visage, almost as if she were a flickering illusion of a digimon. Gumo would thrust forward, pulling from the whip around his neck with his whole body and roaring from the pain the shock was causing him. If Skadi decided to hold into the whip, she would be unavoidably pulled forward as the monster moved with mighty strength. In this case, all of the force he pulled with seemed to come from his weight. He was basically throwing himself forward, instead of running. How heavy was this thing!? The monster would absolutely crush everything on his path when ramming against Bruga, tackling and obliterating the trees that were behind the place the Kotemon was occupying and causing a massive quake. Luckily, though, Bruga was not there anymore. Instead, Hisato would hear an acute, sharp voice next to him. “Is that what your friend calls ‘having things under control’?” The Kotemon, now standing next to this portion of the group, rested the Shinai on her shoulder while staring at the monster, trying to maintain balance. She sounded annoyed. “Sending out the data your way!” Kenna would note as the inventory of all digimons, Hisato and Skadi, started flickering between bright red and yellow, kind of like an alarm was going off. In front of them, a new holographic screen would deploy. This was different from the ones the inventory had shown before. Right above, it said "BATTLE". Below, multiple lines of information deployed. Upon further inspections, they would notice this was info about... Both their adversary and their ally! How much did Kenna know about these dinos!? “W-Who was that?” Bruga asked timidly. Almost as if this voice had startled her. Gumo the Triceramon.
Heavy hitter (Passive): When being targeted by an attack or, as soon as he starts receiving damage from an opponent technique, Gumo’s mass weight increases dramatically, being multiplied by 20. This means Gumo is significantly a lot harder to move around, throw or destabilize by enemies. Naturally, the damage of each physical attack of Gumo that involved crushing or falling on top of their adversaries increases in massive amounts. Over the years, Gumo has perfected Heavy Hitter, so the use of this passive in specific does not affect Gumo’s speed or ability to move his body around in any way. This passive can stack.
Dondata Crush: Gumo rams forward with massive strength, basically throwing his own body forward and destroying everything in his way. As Gumo is attacking with his body in Dondata Crush, if Heavy Hitter is active, Dondata Crush increases its damage dramatically.
Umbani Flash: From his mouth, Gumo shoots a massive blue laser filled with ancient energy. Energy spins around the beam destroying everything around its way, besides the already powerful ray annihilating obstacles as it moves forward.Bruga the Kotemon
Hlonipha double step: Bruga can move almost quicker than the eye can spot from one position to another close position on the battlefield, getting herself away from any incoming attack or repositioning to strike from the right spot. She can only use this a limited amount of times.
Wind slash: Bruga slashes the air aggressively. This creates an air slash of energy that travels quickly towards the opponent. Upon hitting, it does no damage. However, the speed of the digimon hit by this air slash is decreased in proportion to its weight. Mysterious Ship II. There was something about Sasha listening carefully to Bon’s explanation about chocolate, calibrating a ship, or whatever he had to say, that was really clicking with the Agumon. The blonde-haired woman was not only paying attention to the silliest of his ideas but also seemingly reflecting on them after hearing them. “There was.” Bon replied to Robinson’s inquiry. He didn’t seem to be against providing answers, but also kind of sad from the whole situation that involved the answers itself. “Although I didn’t spend too much time there, I belonged to the Hlonipha Tribe, one of the main tribes on the island and the one that used to inhabit Binagi Village. So I… kind of know how it all worked there. The Binagi Shore was the main source of food for our tribe.” He noted. “It’s… a bit sad to know they’re not… there for me to return any more.” A sigh. This answer and any subsequent conversation would carry on as they explored the outsides of the ship and went through their course of action. “Well, we don’t occupy the same space but… if it comes to fighting you can be sure I’ll fight with you!” Bon nodded firmly. “Agreed!” In two consecutive confirmations, the Agumon also concurred with the idea of looking for a way abroad. Again, he showed a pensive expression while placing his claw under the lower side of his mouth again. Bon had completely missed the item buried in the sand, so it was a good thing Sasha noticed, otherwise they wouldn't have found it. The contact with Kenna went through immediately. “Huh?” However, she seemed completely taken by surprise by the description Sasha provided. “I have no recollection of a green item located around Binagi shore that could be buried there. Have you tried unburying it with more st-““It budged!” Bon’s voice would interrupt Kenna, even when coming from right next to Sasha. Between his two main claws, Bon was holding a flat, green item with the shape of a circle. He looked at Sasha with a delighted expression, holding the medallion. “I probably shouldn’t have put that much strength into it…” He now looked kind of dubious, his green eyes shifting to look nervously to the sand. “… But I don’t think it broke! This should be working, for… whatever it is.”“W-Well… sadly, it doesn’t change much. I have never seen anything like that.” Kenna admitted. “Maybe it is related to the ship itself, somehow? I’ll see what I can find…” Upon further examination, Sasha would notice the green medallion looked quite antique. It had the shape of a bat engraved in it. “Here. You keep it.” Bon extended the item to Sasha with a smile. There seemed to be nothing else noteworthy either on the sand or in their surroundings. Besides, the important elements regarding the outsides of the ship had already been pinpointed. “So… how do you want to do it? Jumping on deck? Or… do you see a way of entering through the window?” Inventory Updates Sasha Robinson: You received Mysterious Medallion x 1!

Yup. Mmhmm. That was indeed a scuffle alright. Luckily, Kenny was prepared to have Skadi try getting the situation under control in an immediate manner, armor digivolving to Ultimate in order to facilitate that. "Thanks." He told Kenny, giving him a quick thumbs up. He looked to Bad Company. "Get in there."They had to. And quick! Scarab would cross his front legs as a helix of light appeared around him, while Gyo would do the same, the two quickly assuming their champion forms of Stingmon and ExVeemon, respectively. "I'm gonna go for 'it.'" Scarab would utter. "You always go for that. Besides, he's a Triceramon, you think that'll..." "...We need to try. Caine, stay close to the humans." Scarab directed. "Right. Yes, I'm better suited for long ranges anyways." The Impmon X would retort. Hisato meanwhile watched the scuffle unfold, with Skadi being targeted by Gumo with insane amounts of strength...and weight. This, coupled with what Kenna was providing... "Thank you, Kenna. It's a lot more helpful than nothing at all, and it's still a lot of info. So...Keep at it, okay?" Seriously, having the cooperation of someone knowledgable here would help a lot in the long run. Looking through the Inventory revealed that Gumo was able to get heavier and heavier the more damage he sustained...While Bruga held a countermeasure to that. In a way. He looked to Bruga as the two champions charged in! "Well, it's a start. I need your help to help ensure it stays under control, though. The voice is a friend--she wants to help the island. Aside from that, sorry for jumping in." With that, Hisato looked to Gyo and Scarab. "Pile on the damage and split his focus, this guy gets heavier the more you hit him!" This was to help get some of the pressure off of Skadi. If Gumo can activate that trick more than once, while also already being a heavy Digimon, then he could easily start to weigh more than a few tons. Scarab already noted that he was unlikely to be able to get a Hell Squeeze off on Gumo, so he had to improvise. "...That beam, though..." Hisato murmured as he looked over the data Kenna sent over. How would they mitigate that...? In the meantime, the twins would fly up and above Gumo by a few feet, before Scarab would point his wrists downwards, and Gyo's chest began to spark. "Moon Shooter!" "X-Laser!" This is what the two called the carpet bomb maneuver--Two attacks from the air that would definitely make life hellish for one on the ground. The Stingmon fired a hail of spikes from his wrist, while Gyo raised his arms and flexed, the X-shaped symbol on his chest firing forth a laser for Gumo! It sparked with 0s and 1s...Wonder what that was. Ordinarily, such a thing was ineffective on a Digimon of the Ultimate level. But upon the islands, where equilibrium existed? It would serve well. "...I really hope this plan works..." Hisato murmured.
God, I'm going to hate myself for this.
Relevant Passives: For ExVeemon:Overwrite [RAM Upgrade Giga]: A feat only few are said to be capable of. Drawing upon a mode change of UlforceVeedramon's, Gyo is capable of empowering one of his attacks with a program that rewrites the 0s and 1s that make a Digimon's data up. And extending one of their active cooldowns that he KNOWS about by 2. This can only be activated every 3 turns.
Fearless [Passive]: Legend has it that this red ExVeemon (more of a salmonish color if you ask the author) has no soul, which in turn translates to no fear! That said, mental effects generally have zero effect on this dragon. Maybe metal, too, but metal's kind of an overrated genre of music either way.
Blood of the Dragon [Passive]: Every three turns, ExVeemon is able to double the potency of an attack being used, allowing it to ignore shields if need be. For attacks that already bear such a property, this move instead doubles the potency of the attack. For Stingmon:BFG Division [RAM Upgrade Giga]: Considering himself the proverbial apex predator that he is, Scarab has the ability to act/attack twice on the turn this passive is activated, on account of sheer agility and skill. This is shown as Scarab essentially becoming a blur as he executes the second action, or attack if applicable. This ability has a cooldown period of three posts.
Skyrazor [Passive]: Scarab prides himself on how quick on the draw he is, and his capabilities at Stingmon provide plenty to back that pride up. Stingmon gains a 20% increase to his speed and overall reaction time compared to most other Digimon at his level.
Chitin [Passive]: On top of this, did you know that Stingmon are an exceptionally durable species of insectoid? Scarab enjoys a 20% increase to his defense against attacks, unless struck by a move that removes passive resistances/immunities.
For Impmon X: Seer [Passive]: Caine...is a strange one. He's connected to a network of riddles and madness that ultimately give him knowledge he should not know. Think of this passive as a ability-based version of the Arcana Draw card. He's able to tap into this network in order to divine an answer or a hint as to a question within a mission or plot, but it's ultimately up to the DM as to how clear or unclear this is. Once per thread. Action Log: Hisato directs the team to intervene--Caine is staying to protect the humans. Scarab and Gyo digivolve into Champion in order to execute a maneuver called Carpet Bomb--wherein they use their ranged attacks to harass a target from above. It's not an actual move. It's a strategy. They attack Gumo with Moon Shooter and X-Laser, with Gyo empowering X-Laser with Overwrite to try making Gumo's move cooldown on the ONLY MOVE HE SAW HIM USE take longer. Move descriptions are written below in order mentioned. Moon Shooter: So, you know those spikes on Stingmon's arms? He can fire them. They serve as some rather useful, if not pointy projectiles, and he has an unlimited amount to spare. Scarab can empower this ability further to fire a multitude of spikes, but this adds an additional turn of cooldown, and is also not quite as accurate. One turn cooldown, normally. Two if multiple spikes are fired. Scarab fired multiple. The latter cooldown is being used. X-Laser: The X on ExVeemon’s chest glows a bright blue before a plasma-based laser is discharged from it, scorching foes at range for some severe damage. Two post cooldown. Overwrite [RAM Upgrade Giga]: A feat only few are said to be capable of. Caine didn't do shit this turn, what a normie. Active Cooldowns: Moon Shooter: 0/2 X-Laser: 0/2 Overwrite: 0/3.

So far, so good! That quick intervention seemed to have worked out so far, much to Sato's approval, but as the battle unfolded, and Bruga showed herself towards the group, Kenny would bite his lip, while Sato would explain what was going on, "Yeah, sorry 'bout that. But we figured you might need a bit of a helping hand back there. I mean, right now, there's plenty of us and only one of him. We're on your side here, don't worry."
And again, Sato was right; the information about Gumo and Bruga did seem incredibly helpful. Especially since that latter was actually carrying a powerful countermeasure move that could easily slow Gumo to a crawl. But the one that grabbed his attention the most was that Gumo laser beam attack. 'Destroying everything'? 'Annihilating obstacles'? That didn't sound good. "Well, Skadi does have that reflective shield attack in her Armour Perfect form..." He noted as he looked at the information on display, "Maybe we could try to get it to hit him instead?"
That sounded way easier said than done... "Yes!" The SilverGrademon pumped her fist as the whip wrapped around her target's neck. Her brief elation would quickly collapse as she pulled at the whip, only to find out Gumo would barely budge, no matter how much she would pull. Despite having the power equalizer keeping everyone on par with one another, something did not feel right to her. How was he effortlessly shrugging that off? And why wasn't Bruga moving out of the way? What was going on? Suddenly, she'd feel a sudden yank on her whip as Gumo charged dead ahead, forcing the SilverGrademon to open her palm to 'let go' of the whip, itself disappearing in a shower of harmless sparks around the Triceramon as he practically barrelled himself through where Bruga stood. Thankfully, a quick glance would confirm she did indeed make it out safely, but her focus remained on the perpetrator who got them into this mess in the first place. "You never make this easy for us, do you?" With a quiet grunt, she snapped her fingers, and, as if on command, a set of ghostly chains would quietly snake their way around Gumo's feet and legs, before they threatened to tighten around them, keeping himself stuck in place for the time being, and unable to defend himself from whatever would come next. Perfect opportunity for Scarab and Gyo to carpet bomb away with minimal consequence. Another cursory glance and she found herself looking at the hologram screen. And suddenly it clicked. No wonder Gumo was able to stand his ground despite the equalizer in play; his sudden weight gain alone simply made it nigh impossible to toss him into terra firma, much less throw him around. But Bruga... if the group could get Bruga on their side, she could potentially turn the tides in their favour with that 'Wind Slash' ability. But of real note was the 'Umbani Flash' attack. She knew she had something to counter it. It was only a matter of time of when, not if, he'd use that move, and if she could redirect that attack over to him... Regardless, she could only stand back and watch the magic happen as Scarab and Gyo went to carpet bomb the now-possibly-trapped Triceramon.
To avoid getting flung, Skadi lets go of her whip before aiming to properly hold Gumo in place with Ethereal Chains. Should this work, he'll be left wide open for the carpet bombing technique in question, increasing his weight by a wide margin. Skadi also gains her first token from Buildup, increasing her current attack by +10%. Ethereal Chains (RAM Upgrade): Skadi summons 2 pairs of ghostly chains silently rising from the ground to coil around the opponents feet (4 if the opponent has 4 feet, for flavor purposes only). Once trapped, they are bound for one turn, unable to move from the spot or turn around, but are still free to attack, just as long as the attack doesn't involve using their feet. Flying/airborne opponents will be pulled to the ground by the chains. Does not interfere with the Buildup passive. (2 post cooldown) Passives:Buildup (Passive): For every post that Skadi does not directly attack the opponent with an ability, she gains a token.
Active Buffs/Debuffs:Buildup (+10% ATK): 1/4 active tokens Cooldowns:Fouet Brillant: 1/3 Ethereal Chains: 0/2
