Sitting at an outside table of a restaurant LJ was picking at his food despite being hungry. Earlier that day he had unknowingly acted like an insensitive jerk and even had a meltdown that resulted in three strangers basically shooing him away but, then again, he hardly blamed them one bit since he had never acted that bad before. It could of easily led to a fight and he was glad it didn't. He was glad his dads didn't witness this because what would they think?
Who was he kidding? He knew full well they'd be disappointed in his behavior and would of likely of been receiving a harsh talking to. Setting his fork down, the disguised Leomon X sighed before picking it back up again and went back to picking at his meal. There wasn't much left of what appeared to be the side salad as somehow he finished the main dish despite sitting their picking on and off while eating for the past hour.
Maybe at least if he got angry again he could find away to contain his magic so his eyes didn't bleed light purple and spark so he would at least look less aggressive when angered but how? Then after training some other issues had seemed to have developed like his magic going wonky and him floating at random to even having him having a black out rage in the heat of battle with a Yatakaramon. The thought that he could of killed that digimon in his rage terrified him. 'Maybe Dad or Grandpa would know how to better control my magic since I've gotten stronger. Maybe I shouldn't have left the Digital World and taken the trip to Grandpa's. That and maybe Pops could of helped me with my temper.' LJ thought with a sigh before putting down his eating utensils and rubbing his hands across his face in his frustrations before he then thought. 'Why must I be so stubborn and prideful. Maybe it's a family trait I am barely aware of.'

It was still three hours before his training start, so Hans decided to spend some time by taking a quick bite in a nearby restaurant. He was highly interested in Japanese cuisine, so why not. And to make his way to the place a little bit enjoyable, he decided to talk with his favorite partner. Luckily, his V-Pet allows it to do in a way people could think he's using some chat, which supports video calls. At least this is what he could tell to a stranger, should anyone ask him.
As Walzman arrived to the eatery, he was glad it didn't have a lot of visitors. In fact, it had just three. So the Swiss guy proceeded to a table slightly behind LJ. It was a cozy place in a corner, so nobody could take a look at what's so special in the tamer's fancy phone. Which was his Digivice.
"Are you sure we shouldn't go to the Digital World instead? I'm sure Mandrake, Lothar, and Kshin might need our help. Or anyone else. Also, I feel a digimon presence but maybe I didn't recover after the fight with that mad Wizardmon.". Kitsune asked. Even though the conversation between the two was quiet, LJ still could overhear them. Of course, nor Hans, nor Renamon wasn't aware of that. And because of the vixen's words, the human was now on high of his senses, looking for an unusual activity.
"Patience, my dear. We're not fully ready yet. We'll meet them one day again, I'm sure. Now, please be quiet.". Kitsune's partner replied, noticing an approaching waiter and hiding his Digivice.

When LJ heard the door opened indicating someone entering he paid the other potential customers little attention and continued to pick at his food but was at least eating if a bit slowly. Out of the corner of an eye he spotted a young adult human sitting not far from him but he didn't so much as react. That was until he curiously heard two voices near him instead of one.
Now he wasn't intending to pry but since he had excellent hearing that came from his nature as a feline digimon. When he mentioned his parents and little brother he was surprised dropping his chopsticks with the eating utensils hitting the plate with a soft clatter. Turning his head he barely noticed the stranger hiding a digivice. 'So he's a tamer. That explains why I was hearing two voices.' he thought.
Leaning forward so that the stranger could hear him but the whole restaurant couldn't hear. "Hey I overheard about you talking about heading to the Digital World as well as three named Mandrake, Lothar, and Kshin." he said to the stranger before he countinued "Don't freak out though, I know quite a lot about digimon being one myself. Now what was this about my family and an evil wizard."

Right when Hans finished with his ordering, he got company from the guy right behind him. Normally, Walzman doesn't talk with random people for no reason. But when LJ said he was a digimon, then he got tamer's attention. Perhaps, this is the digimon to whom Kitsune was referring. The Swiss guy just hoped LJ was the only digimon, whom Renamon's senses have detected.
"Well, the FlameWizardmon has turned Mandrake into a human and then he had to hang with me till Lothar and Kshin didn't arrive. Unfortunately, the mad sorcerer had kidnapped him when Mandrake went to meet his buddies, taking him away from us to deal with him alone. But we've arrived just in time to stop FlameWizardmon. Fighting with him was quite a show. Even my Renamon managed to help. However, Lothar had spared the twisted Wizardmon life even after everything he did, meaning we didn't see the pyromaniac for the last time. And I hope I won't face him alone as now I'm his enemy too.". The tamer told, instantly realizing he forgot to ask one crucial detail about the disguised digimon before telling anything. Not like Hans was suspicious, rather he wanted to expand his amount of potential allies (or enemies). "You asked about your family. Excuse me, but who are you? I think we didn't meet before."

LJ listened politely as the stranger told how FlameWizardmon had turned Mandrake into a human and it seemed Mandrake spent time hanging out with the tamer and his partner until Lothar and Kshin had arrived. Then the FlameWizardmon kidnapped him. To hear FlameWizardmon had caused such trouble for his dads and little brother was shocking though when the stranger said Lothar had spared FlameWizardmon, LJ said "That's not surpising. While they fight to protect themselves and others they don't believe in killing." LJ was doubting that the FlameWizardmon behind what happened was the same one who sold him and Kshin a shrinking potion but since they couldn't find the sleazeball when the family returned to the wizard's store who knew for sure.
LJ wasn't surprised when he was asked who he was since he had spoke to that man out of nowhere it seemed. " No we didn't meet to my memory. My name is Lothar Junior or LJ for short. Mandrake and Lothar are my dads and Kshin is my adopted little brother." Sure two fathers wasn't the everyday occurence for humans but for digimon it wasn't so strange.

"Good attitude, I should admit.". Hans answered, being happily surprised to see another digimon in this world, even behind a holosuit. That had reflected in his attitude, which has changed to much more friendly. He has also been surprised that digimons can have offspring, making him curious about how that happens. Knowing how things happen in the computing world, it wasn't too difficult to assume how that was going. For the tamer, the Digital World was like an enormous operating system, and digimons were akin to processes or threads. The way processes spawn their children was very easy to get to anyone who was good with computers and how operating system works on basic levels. Still, digimons were different as they were sentient. But Hans decided not to focus on this and proceed with the primary purpose of the conversation. "So, what you're doing in our world, sir Lothar Junior? Need any help?"

LJ nodded his head before he said "Yes it is. I myself follow the same views regarding valuing life." LJ's attitude had perked up from his previous mopey disposition. His issues from earlier still existed but they didn't seem so worrying right now.
"Please just call me LJ. It makes things easier." LJ said with a chuckle that if happened earlier he would of thought of himself as crazy. "As for why I'm here I just needed a break from Digital World craziness since I've been through a lot and I haven't even been alive that long." LJ said with a shake of his head once again thinking back to his previous adventures. "No offense but I don't know how you can help." It seemed his pride was starting to wear thin as LJ let out a sigh that seemed laced somewhat with defeat. He then asked "So what about you? What's your name?"

"Oh, trust me, I know what people mean when they say about to take a break.". Hans stated, making his smile even wider. He wasn't the best therapist in the world, but he could listen to people. He had a lot of that back in the army from guys who were mentally breaking being physically incapable of executing orders. Or who just couldn't work under pressure. Walzman passed through the same, but his will helped him with that. So naturally, such people needed someone to tell everything that they were hiding inside them. Perhaps, this was LJ's case? The Swiss guy wanted to find it out. "I'm Hans, a proud owner of a Renamon. If you were a human, I would suggest drinking together. But since I have no idea if digimons and alcohol are compatible, I'll just ask - what bothers you? Is there anything you want to speak out about? It helps sometimes."

When Hans said 'Oh, trust me, I know what people mean when they say about to take a break.' it caught LJ's attention. It made sense that other people had issues that upset them and, as weird as it may of sounded, there were those with problems worse or even stranger than what he was going through.
At the mention of alcohol LJ chuckled before he said "All I know is that digimon tend to have a better tolerance for alcohol than humans but by digimon standards there still are lightweights that can't hold their liquor." Then Hans asked what was bothering him after mentioning that it helps sometimes. "Yeah talking out problems do help sometimes though it isn't always easy to do for various reasons. As for what bothers me it is more than one problem. As the son of a magical digimon like Mandrake I inherited magic that had been mostly dormant until recently and I've been having problems with controlling it outside of battle causing me to randomly float into the air. As bad as that is, it is mostly more embarrassing than it is dangerous but I've been working on that. My biggest problem, and it still scares me, is my temper is pretty bad leading to trouble with me loosing my cool. During a recent battle I was close to dying when I went into what I can only explain as a battle rage. Fortunately I didn't kill anyone but I worry if I loose it again thay I will" LJ said as his body started to shake as he began clenching his fists.

"Magic... Something I always wanted to have and probably, will never get.". Hans started, become more focusing on his past experience. It was clear that the two had some personal qualities in common, even though they were from different worlds. But even if Hans didn't have any magic abilities, he still wanted to offer his experience. It wasn't an attempt to soother the disguised Leomon, it's rather food for thoughts. "Unfortunately, I'm not a mage, but I had this 'rage mode' prior to the Digital World a couple of times. In such cases, I always ask myself 'is it worth to do so?'. Try to think about the consequences of your actions and the target of the rage. Because you may accidentally hit those you didn't want. That, of course, if you're in a battle. I call it resilience. Outside of combat, say, in a conversation, if you don't like someone, just imagine it as you want. Somehow that would relax you."
By the time Hans finished his talk, letting LJ to think about what he just heard, a waiter delivered Hans' order. It was coffee, but it tasted not too strong enough. He decides to mix it with a good portion of whiskey or whatever was available on menu. Of course, he could order another cup of coffee, stronger than before, but since LJ said digimons tolerate alcohol better than humans do, Hans wanted to see if that's true.
"So, want to drink? At my expense.". The Swiss guy asked, winked. He knew about the training today, so he didn't plan to drink too much. Just to make Lothar Junior a bit more talkative.

LJ knew everyone had a 'rage mode' of sorts but there were those that had far better control than others and it seemed Hans had a better handle on his inner beast so to speak. "Yeah keeping a handle on my temper is more difficult than I thought it would be. I don't know how my dads are able to keep so calm." As Hans suggested somethings that could help LJ then said "I've also tried other approaches like breathing exercises, meditation, and martial arts training. I do appreciate your suggestions though."
LJ watched as the waiter brought Hans his order which made him remember his still mostly uneaten food. Turning to the food it was as if LJ's appetite had returned and he devoured it swiftly but somehow still politely before turning back to Hans. Then Hans asked him if he wanted to drink. As Hans winked LJ shrugged before he said "Sure why not a little. I haven't had alcohol before." Sure LJ's disguise gave him the appearance of a human in his late teens or, according to his cover story, a super tall middle school student. It seemed Hans was aware of the fact LJ didn't look of legal drinking age.

"I'm not sure about digimons, but humans have a thing called genes. A thing you inherit from your parents. They're responsible for most of the things inside your body. So if you're doing something and it doesn't work, that could be genes. And then you have to find a way that works for you. Perhaps, this is your case? Or maybe ask your dad?". Walzman asked, calling a waiter for another order. Then he asked for two cans of Chuhai, a lemon-flavored low alcohol drink, which doesn't taste like an alcoholic drink at all. Thanks to the juice, which is fresh-squeezed, hence the drink always has short expiration dates. But it's a safe thing because Japanese, and most Asians, are known for low tolerance toward such kinds of drinks and so they made that fits their tastes. However, the waiter took a quick look over LJ, as evaluating, but didn't say anything but only nodded for Hans' order. "But you know, if you have bad guys to deal with and need another pair of eyes or ears, I'd like to join. This is where I may try to help with yours bursts of rage."

"One of the many things digimon seem to share in common is to pass certain traits to their children. Like with the magic I inherited from my Wizardmon father, Mandrake, or the fact that I have a digivolution line similar to my Leomon father, Lothar. I even have the same fresh, in training, and rookie stages as my Leomon parent but I shared a color scheme with of being purple in color like my Wizardmon parent was since his rookie stage was Impmon. My temper seems to have been inherited from the titan my Leomon father is but if he could, for the most part, get a handle on it I know I should be able to. Maybe I should ask my parents for help then." LJ said as Hans went about calling over the waiter and ordering some drinks. Since LJ didn't know much about alcoholic beverages he listened and watched as the waiter looked over at him in a seemingly evaluting gaze but the disguised Leomon X paid it no mind. It made sense for such a look since the legal drinking age in Japan was twenty and he didn't quite look twenty yet.
"As for you off to help, I don't mind. Sometimes it does help to have someone watching your back." LJ said with a smile.

"So you're a purple Leomon? You must be looking awesome.". Hans commented just when the drinks were served. One can and high cup for the human, another was for LJ. But since the Swiss guy didn't finish his coffee, he decided to mix it with the Chuhai as he poured the drink and coffee in the cup. The resulted taste looked somewhat like a Pepsi, yet tarty. Just what the guy needed right before the training as it should boost his cognitive and motoric abilities. "Well, a toast for our meeting. Let it be not the last one."
Then Hans raised his cup and made a long sip. It didn't take too long to feel the effect of the cocktail, but it felt good. Usually, it means not so good for an average person, but Hans liked things like that. But then he checked the time and realized it's only two hours left before the training will start. The place where he was heading wasn't too far, it's just Hans who always planning everything ahead.
"Mind if I go? I've got some personal errands to do. We can continue after that if you'll need a company. Since you're a digimon, you should have no issue finding me.". The Swiss continued, sipping the fluid.

LJ chuckled when Hans said 'So you're a purple Leomon?' then shook his head before he said "As much as an interesting sight that would of been, no I'm not a purple Leomon. I'm just a shorter than average Leomon X wearing a blue cape. I'm only a foot shorter than average being seven feet tall when not in disguise."
In respone to Hans' next words, LJ said "I hear that. After all you helped my dads and little brother out." He then rose his cup in turn before taking a sip of his drink the fruity cocktail having a curious taste but not unpleasant as it was also sweet. He could understand why some humans enjoyed these things.
When Hans mentioned needing to leave LJ said "I don't mind. I feel better than I did when I got here. I guess all I needed was someone to talk to. Maybe we will come across each other again. Who knows?"
