Stacy was walking through a medium sized town no where near the size of places like Whitewater or Terminus but bigger than most villages and even had a sports stadium to boot. Since she had not been to a game in years she figured she would get a ticket.
When she got to the ticket stand the worker, a smaller than average Drimogemon, seemed extremely surprised that she had shown up and said "How many."
"Just one. Thanks. So what sport is playing in the stadium?" Stacy asked trying to be friendly as she exchanged money for the ticket.
"The sport is baseball and a home game but not many show up to see our team anymore sadly despite the players being really kind digimon and even donate money to various charities." Drimogemon said sadly.
"That sounds like a shame but I like baseball so it might be a fun time." Stacy said with a smile as she headed inside soon finding her seat noticing that the stadium was like a ghost town for the most part with only a handful of what she assumed was faithful fans. This seemed sad but she had no idea what she would be in for.
The game began and a the visiting team which had mostly insect digimon with a handful of mammal and reptile digimon. The home team were mostly dragons with handful of mammals but the one unique specimen that stood out was a Numemon. Both teams consisted of a mix of rookies and champions. It seemed the visiting team was up to bat first so the home team ran out to their positions on the field. The coach on the visiting side, a Vilemon, was smirking with a sense of smug confidence while he fluttered back and forth in the dugout. While the home team's coach, a Stingmon, looked as if he was frazzled and the first pitch hadn't been thrown yet.
The first pitch was thrown and was hit between the second and third base. The shortstop, who was the Numemon, was already on top of things it seemed as he was moving shockingly swift but just as he collected the ball and was about to throw it when the BlackGuilmon second baseman crashed head on tripping over Numemon in an over enthusiastic effort to snag the ball. Stacy flinched at the sight but the Stingmon coach went from frazzled to embarrassed his clawed hands covering his face.
"Okay this game has gotten off to a rough start." Stacy said flinching at the sight of BlackGuilmon's and Numemon's collision. However things wouldn't get any better from that point on.
Somehow the home team had managed to get three outs on the visiting team despite many other blunders and, somehow, the visiting team had only gotten four runs. Home team came up to bat and seemed to be good hitters but weren't successful in getting a single run. By the end of the game Stingmon wanted to strangle Vilemon and Stacy couldn't say she could blame him as the cocky little demon was beginning to annoy her and she couldn't even hear the little pest but the taunting gestures were enough to get the gist of things.
The few fans left as disappointed and the home team was sitting in the dugout looking unwilling to move at that point. Stacy saw the look of hopelessness on all of them and couldn't do nothing. Standing up she brought out her D-Tector holding it in her left hand as fractal coding appeared around her right hand. "Execute! Human Spirit Evolution!" A wolf howl was heard as her body became engulfed in holy light. The wolf howl caused the team and coach to look around for the source of the sound. As the light faded she said "Blitzwolfmon!"
Then she began running towards the front row before leaping onto the field catching the attention of the Stingmon coach and the team making them leap up taking defensive stances. Blitzwolfmon held up her hands in an attempt to calm them as she said "Easy I mean no harm. I just saw the game and I want to help."
Stingmon then approached with the rest of the team following behind him before he asked "How can you help? Do you know anything about baseball? For that matter, who are you anyway?"
Lowering her hands but keeping a passive stance, Blitzwolfmon said "I noticed a few issues with cooperation despite the team seemingly being good athletes maybe we can work on teamwork. I know enough about baseball that I'm aware of the rules at the least. As for who I am, I am called Blitzwolfmon." Holding out her hand in an attempt to offer a handshake to Stingmon, she then asked "So what do you say? Can we at least try? Maybe with work the next game can be won."
Stingmon looked back at the team who were whispering amongst each other and walked over talking it out with them before returning and taking hold of Blitzwolfmon's hand and shook it before he said "The next game is also a home game and it's next week. Since we're currently in last place I figure what's the worst that could happen? It's not exactly like we can fall any further, right?"
"Then let's get started." Blitzwolfmon said with a smile.
Three days later
Blitzwolfmon was working hard with Stingmon and gradually they were becoming aware of the true root of the problem regarding the massive loosing streak. Not only that she learned the name of their team which slipped her mind in the chaos of the disaster that the game from three days ago was. The team had a humble if somewhat predictable name, the Dragons. It seemed previous visitors to the town had sneakily disrupted the team by making them begin trying to outdo one another. Fortunately between her, Stingmon, and the Numemon shortstop, one of the few players still functioning normally the other being the Armadillomon catcher, they were able to get everyone to get their act together but they still had more work to do to be ready.
Four days later(Game Day)
The team was sitting in the dugout and Blitzwolfmon was sitting with them eager to see how this would play out. The visiting team seemed to consist of a mix of angel and demon digimon with a peppy Floramon as their coach but she never caused trouble with Stingmon. Hell Stingmon had even greeted her in a friendly manner before the game. The game began and the Dragons were the ones who batted first this game.
Throughout the game the fans were wowed by the fact that their team were playing more like they used to but the still close going back and forth with the Dragons winning the game by only one run. The excited team and Stingmon joyously thanked Blitzwolfmon and she humbly said "You were always a good team and you have a great coach but I was glad I could help you remember that. Maybe you guys can come back from behind and get in first." After getting their contact info she waved before dashing away.
"Shame she isn't part of the team." Stingmon said before he turned to his team and then said "So the best we can do to thank her is to do our best the rest of this season and fill her in as we go." The team agreed with cheers.
