Digimon Name: Cypher
Default Form: Champion
Gender: Female
Alignment: Neutral
Skills/Talents:
Hacking: Suffice to say it's not a surprise that a metal empire type mon would be good at hacking. But rather that it is a core facet of her entire existence. She from the egg was able to do this sort of thing on a constant venue that while she might not be a master at the skill she's very good at it and very good at breaking down code, building it back up. Getting past firewalls and other security measures are her bread and butter. Her fascination with advanced coding from the human world has also landed her in a heap load of trouble time and time again.
Engineering: Knowing how the machines work and how to build them is key to understanding their limits. While it's focused largely on technology with data based capacities she can understand how most bits and pieces are made.
Crafting: A subset of her engineering skill more than anything; Cypher is very capable in terms of craftsmanship. Often spending her free time when away from the world to build marvels of technology that only she can operate or understand. Or for others... for a price.
Inventory:
-A smattering of electrical parts
-At least one USB
-A half eaten sandwich
-Some Gel Ice packs [For cooling her down]
-Some potato chips
Personality:
It's not very easy to pinpoint everything that Cypher is about. Her personality is as wide and varied as anyone else but her prime directive has made her grown in such interesting fashions that it's hard not to point out some of the more intense sub sections.
Sub Section 1: Friendly: Cypher's personality is hardlined and programmed into her code in such an intense degree that it's no surprise that her reason for survival is... Her sheer level of friendliness that would put her on equal footing of her cousin Nokk. She is abundantly friendly and loves to interact with people even if she is fairly unnerving when first met. She loves interacting and loves talking with people; even helping them out to a degree for no charge! That's why when in the human world she shows considerable gutso to help people with their security issues!
Sub Section 2: Greedy: Cypher's desire for physical and monetary wealth sometimes borderlines on the obscene. She loves shiny things, she loves seeing her money pool swell and often will go out of her way to accumulate more. She wants wealth beyond that which would normally be unobtainable. While this often puts her at odds with the authorities it's not like she means to hurt anyone. She abhors violence or at least being the one directly fighting and will often submit the things she's tried to get away with to avoid getting into too much trouble. Can't grow more wealthy if you're captured after all!
Sub Section 3: Flexible: Truly what is the reason for her growth and what puts her apart from most mechanical beings around her level. Her coding is very flexible and very much so closer to what living digimon are like. She can think on her own and adjust as she needs to... to a much more extreme degree than many others would expect of her. It's directly tied into her intelligence which lets her asses situations in a flash.
Sub Section 4: Intelligent: Unsurprisingly the reserve of information that Cypher is privy to is massive; almost to a point of being unquantifiable by normal means and it increases on a regular basis when interacting with the digital or human world. A single night in the human world had her going through their history and understanding their culture, ideals, dreams and what their goals were. A single night in whitewater had her understanding that she didn't belong there as much as she belonged in terminus. But that didn't stop her from trying to help them no! Given an ample [or even a few minutes of time] Cypher is able to figure out most if not all situations! To a degree of course; there are some things that are just beyond her ken. [No the meaning of Life is still 42 no matter how much you think about it]
Sub Section 5: [ENTRY NOT FOUND. DATA CORRUPT]
Sub Section 6: [ENTRY NOT FOUND. DATA CORRUPT]
Sub Section 7: [ENTRY NOT FOUND. DATA CORRUPT]
Personal History:
Cypher wasn't born like the stereotypical digimon; no her data set came from an abject flow from the human realm into the digital that forced her localization to come into being. Her egg wasn't found in the normal sense or found anywhere even remotely close to the village. Instead it was found in the one place that trash data was ever so common.
Down in the depths of Teneborus. In the underdark of the world to where there normally was no escape. But when born she wasn't like your usual child either. Skipping over fresh and in training it was quickly obvious to those around her that she was different. That she was a lot more than what she seemed. And it wasn't until she opened her mouth to speak that they found themselves clutching at their bleeding ears. Her loud voice was a string of code that their older systems couldn't deal with.
And so she was outcast; not because they didn't want her but because their safety in the underdark was paramount. But being a flier in the underdark meant that she couldn't live the way she wanted. So she found her way through the various pipes and ducts of the underdark till she found her way to the surface of terminus. Where a font of knowledge and wealth presented itself ot her. She gorged herself on the data and information here; growing quickly and understanding her role almost immediately.
She was to fix broken things or make things that were better than it. Through her ability to manipulate data or to physically craft things. It was a slow going at first but she wasn't even remotely afraid of that.
It took time and she was willing to grow; so she just diw what she could and what she wanted for such a long time that eventually... The human world opened in front of her. She went away from the digital world [much to the relief of some terminus authorities given her track record there...] in an effort to understand the strange cryptids that came to her world.
Suffice to say their history, their culture, their wealth and their knowledge was something that she wanted to know so much more about. Spending what felt like decades among them to learn everything she could when she could and where she could. Though her abilities meant that she often more than not would be found taking what wasn't hers...
And giving it to people that truly needed it when they needed it. A sort of robin hood that also would go out of her way to break into places to upgrade their security if she found them wanting.
The whole world was her playground and she was just getting started.
Even if she was just limited to Japan for the time being her presence in the human world could be distinctly felt if one looked hard enough.
Rookie
Species: Thunderbirdmon
Appearance:
Attribute: Virus
Family/ies: Machine Empire
Type: Data-Beast
Height: 6'0
Wingspan: 20 feet
Fighting Style: Cypher is a very flighty girl, she doesn't like fighting people directly and abhors violence normally. So she'll do everything in her power to make sure that she isn't the focal point of attacks. Mind you this doesn't mean she'll throw someone under the bus if they're hurting but she'll be tricky and very difficult to pin down. So she utilizes powerful buffs for her allies and debilitating debuffs for her enemies.
Abilities: [4 Abilities Max]
Universal translator|Non combat passive: Normally digimon come with a variety of powers that allow them to understand both speech and written languages. For cypher this is doubly as true. She is capable of understanding on a primal level any type of language programming or otherwise. Due to this however her own vocal restrictions are set completely to binary which most digimon understand immediately but for humans it might be a little bit more of a problem. This only extends to plot driven instances such as the D-reaper if the person running the instance is okay with it.
Hardware Localization|Non Combat Passive: Cypher is at a base level able to hook into just about any device or digimon [if willing] using some kind of physical connection and integrate with various systems in order to reach an understanding of the layered coding. Whether or not it's damaged or fully functional. She isn't capable in this form to do much more than observe advanced data sets such as digimon or incredibly powerful technology. For less advanced systems she's able to send string codes to force interactions between her and them. But the moment the system becomes hostile she has to jack out else her own system could be compromised.
Hardware Reboot: Optical: Cypher throws out a cone of USB feathers, drilling into a target and injecting a hard reboot to their optical coding. Forcing them for a short time to be blind while their data clears out the trash that is suddenly in their system. If multiple parties are affected this ability is less effective and reduces vision range dramatically instead. [up to three targets] 30 foot cone. 3 post cooldown. One post duration. This ability deals no damage.
Processor Malfunction: Cypher lashes out with a thin almost invisible wire; if a target within a 30 foot line is struck by it the digimon's processing power is reduced considerably. Increasing all of their active cooldowns by One. Five post cooldown. This ability deals no damage.
Hardware Acceleration: Ally: Cypher is capable of directly linking herself with an ally and boosting their data flow for a limited time. Increasing their damage, defense or speed by 30% for 3 turns. This requires her to link to a target by use of a wire similar to that of Processor Malfunction. Limiting her reaction time but allowing her to do so at a range of 30 feet. Three post cooldown.
Partisan Bypass: Ally: Cypher is capable of directly linking herself with an Ally and boosting their data flow for a limited time. In this case she is able to refresh a single cooldown completely by taking it on to herself. Locking out one of her other moves in an effort to boost her allies. If Hardware acceleration is not available then Processor malfunction is chosen. If that is unavailable then Hardware reboot is chosen. If none of these are available Cypher's dataflow stutters and instead all her active cooldowns are doubled. Three post cooldown. This does not affect digimon of higher level and does not affect OPT or passive moves. It can only target abilities with a cooldown of 3 or lower.

Hardware Localization II|Non Combat Passive: Cypher is at a base level able to hook into just about any device or digimon [if willing] using some kind of physical connection and intergrade with various systems in order to reach an understanding of the layered coding. Whether or not it's damaged or fully functional. In this form she is capable of advanced interactions with digimon or technology. However she isn't able to force her will onto unwilling targets. For less advanced systems she's able to send string codes to force interactions between her and them.
Data Bypass: FLATEHEAD|Non Combat Passive: While cypher is out of combat she is at a base level able to re-arrange her own data to a certain degree. Adjusting it's density to the point of being able to pass through physical objects. It takes a degree of concentration and she can't do it while under the duress of combat... or if something too loud is nearby to upset her concentration.
Firewall Breach: Bypass and Lock: Cypher is capable of hooking into a target digimon using her sizeable dreadlocks and flushing their system with a powerful and debilitating flow of data that bypasses their active firewalls and locks a single ability for three posts. She can only target passives if she knows about them and cannot lock out OPT moves. Additionally she may use this ability on hardware or other items to bypass and lock their firewalls from acting until she unhooks herself. Three post cooldown. Requires melee range. Deals no damage.
Firewall Breach: Mobility Compromise: Cypher is capable of hooking into a target digimon using her extremely long tail. Stretching and reaching out to a target within 120 feet of herself. When hooked into a target she flushes their system with an incredibly powerful stream of data. Compromising their mobility and locking their movement for a post. If a target does not remove her tail's connection she can flush their system with a weaker stream of data and reduce their movement for that post by 30%. Three post cooldown. She can additionally use this ability to slow down response times of security measures in technology. Two post duration [1 initial, 1 secondary] Requires stable connection. Deals no damage.
Data Flux: Ally:Cypher is capable of hooking herself into an ally with the use of her dreads. Adjusting and piercing their shell. Hooking directly into their shell from underneath from varied points and injecting a powerful surge of data throughout their body. This increases their combat prowess across the board by 30% by increases each of their cooldowns by one in exchange. Requires consent of the target for injection. Thirty foot range. Deals no damage. This ability allows her to use her dreadlocks to connect to various ports on various pieces of technology. Three post cooldown. Two post duration.
Data Flux: Manifold: Cypher is capable of hooking herself into an ally with the use of her long tail. Adjusting and hooking in directly to the back of their skull. If they lack a skull a different focal point will be chosen instead. She is capable of flushing her allies system with a powerful stream of data many times over; increasing their personal healing factor by 30%. Effectively healing them. If a status effect or limb is missing this instead is treated first. This ability has a sizeable reach of 120 feet. Three post cooldown. This ability allows her to hook into vehicles or other larger pieces of equipment and directly control their motor capabilities while she's connected.
Hardware Upgrade: Mantis Blades: Cypher is capable of upgrading her localized data flow with a set of blades that will emerge from her sizeable forearms. These blades come electrically charged at a high voltage and will allow her to penetrate shields on the first swing of the ability. These blades deal insanely high damage and can cut through bonded steel like one cuts through tissue paper. Three post duration. Three post cooldown. Melee range. Shares a cooldown with Gorilla arms.
Hardware Upgrade: Gorilla Arms: Cypher is capable of upgrading her localized data flow with a layer of armor over her fingers and knuckles. These knuckles allow her to punch with considerable force, allowing her to target individuals with increased pressure. Bypassing passive defenses for a short time. This layer of armor also serves to allow her to punch through reinforced physical barriers. Deals high concussive damage. Three post duration. Three post cooldown. Shares a cooldown with Mantis blades.
[RAM UPGRADE]Hardware Upgrade: Projectile Launch System: Cypher is capable of upgrading her localized data flow with a powerful set of launchers on either arm. They protrude from her forearms somewhat efficiently and allow her to shoot explosive projectiles at a range up to 120 feet away. While this ability has no cooldown the explosive projectiles only have a small radius of five feet from their detonation point requiring a fair bit of accuracy to remain effective.
[RAM UPGRADE]Hardware Upgrade: Mobility Localization: Cypher is capable of upgrading her localized data flow. Increasing her muscle mass and effectively 'bulking' herself up a bit. Her arms, legs and tail all gain a powerful efficiency boost. Allowing her to jump extreme distances, dodge things that are usually too fast to do so and effectively make her just more agile in general. She's capable of moving fast enough with this active to dodge small arms fire from human projectile weapons. Three post duration, 50% increase to agility and -20% decrease to attack. Five post cooldown.
