That day, about two months ago, KIZNA have a little bit of a surprise visitor from Whitewater. Their name is Muge, a Monochromon merchant. Muge professes that he was once a poor merchant who starts selling fruits, running around Digital World using his speed as Monochromon with his fruit cart, hoping to sell tropical fruits to people.... and his persistence paid off in the hot western lands, where he managed to also add ice shaver machine, inspired from Korean Bingsu maker to serve them to his customers. But, what he came up with wasn't regarding fruits... he'd like Ys' help in creating a small cruise ship with different facilities. He will pay for the amount of money needed of course. He said that if he's sufficiently impressed, he'd also like to join Ys as some sort of business partner.
There's... really no loss on Ys' side, which honestly too good to be true, but Muge said that he wishes similar thing with Ys people: a chance to show commoners and less fortunates a taste of higher quality life. Granted, it might be watered down, but that experience hopefully will make an impact to them, give them a sense of hope to try setting their goal to succeed lin life, just like he did in the past.
...And so, KIZNA accepted, and in one month managed to build a sizeable cruise ship. Today is its maiden journey.
"..........So, where is this ship heading?" Valt asked.
"Currently? It's going nowhere. Basically it's just a full day in a cruise ship sort of deal, just going around binary archipelago and then back to Whitewater."
"Huh, I see, that's pretty nice."
"Well there's also about like four hours break in nearby island, but that's about it. In that island we'll restock water and all that."
"Ah yeah, makes sense."
The two of KIZNA GLORIA, Valt and Ryouta is sent by KIZNA to oversee the maiden voyage. They're both VIP and the security, which honestly quite a clash, but even so, they could easily blend in with the guests thanks to having the invitation cards.
"....Hmmm, how much was the price of the trip again?"
"Just about 5000 bits. It's not enough to break your bank or anything. But it's definitely not something you want to pay for unless it's like... once in a month occassion, for normal people that is," Valt answered. "But hey, 5000 bits, all you can eat food, and on top of that capsule hotel room would cut that by 1000 bits? I'd say that's a huge win. 4000 for ecoomic, 5000 for more upscale with room service and actual rooms, 6000 for a suite? That's pretty good."
"Yeah that's pretty good. Can see why it would be popular."
Now, come to think of it... who will they meet in this journey?

Coal had offered to beta and alpha a while ago to travel together. What Coal wasn’t expecting was the suggestion of going out onto a cruise by her mother. See the world in a different way and all that. So when that suggestion hit the floor all coal could think about was inviting a pair of her best friends along with her. But came the issue of… well she didn’t have much in the way of money.
But Silence seemed to think that wasn’t a problem and after talking with her to length silence would provide enough money for a suite for the three of them. Figuring at the very least she could make sure her daughter and their friends were well taken care of. Certain far more in the realm of bits than Coal was used to handling she couldn’t help but stare at the card carrying the money in a bit of abject awe.
Heck that wasn’t even everything on it just in case they needed to buy other things on the cruise or try various things elsewhere. Silence wasn’t about to let her daughter or her friends wanting in a situation like this!
Now meeting up in whitewater was probably the wisest idea; so communicating that with her two friends they’d have to get their on their own but that wouldn’t stop coal’s affections to her friends. Upon meeting them she was incredibly relieved and would swoop the both up in a firm hug. Maybe it was her mother rubbing off on her; or maybe it was this shy renamon slowly coming out of her shell thanks to the multiple times that she had been interacting with the duo.
”It’s so good to see you two! I hope you’ve been well!”
The renamon’s smile was wide and she’d adjust ever so slightly. Compared to last time she was still wearing her mother’s uniform minus the markings but… Rather than it being loose fitting it seemed to actually be closer to what you’d expect of someone when it was tailored to them. Indicating some form of growth from her. Though that was easily seen by the fact she was holding the two of them much more reliably than when they met in the dragon valley.
But if the two of them didn’t mind coal would timidly keep them close to her; holding them almost like teddybears if they allowed it. They were precious to her and she seemed to enjoy their company far more now that she had grown a little bit.
”I know where the cruise ship is. Mind if I take you guys there?”
Hoping the answer was yes she’d carry the two of them there; and if not? Well she’d let them walk since that was only right of her! Eventually regardless of that answer the trio would show up to the cruise ship; coal’s face still in that bright look as she could see a few folks standing in front of. Hesitating for a moment she’d approach and inquire while adjusting herself a bit.
”Hey there! Is this the cruise ship from the uh… What was it the reminder? Erm. Right. We’re interested in rooms!”

Post by Alpha & Beta on Jun 3, 2021 19:00:41 GMT
Alpha and Beta had nothing planned for a few days, simply training 24/7 would burn them out and be even worse for them then just not training. So under that whole thing Cici basically forced the duo to find something else to relax and do. It was a bit hard for them to figure out something to pass the time, luckily for the both of them their friend Coal had came to the both of them with a great idea. It was a sort of cruise ship that'd be leaving from Whitewater, it was something that neither of the twins had ever thought about doing before, suffice to say it did interest the both of them and if they were taking a break from training might as well do it in style.
It took a little bit to convince Cici to let the twins go, after all that darn Myotismon hadn't shown his face yet and she was growing worried. But eventually she caved and even gave the two of them some bits she had saved up, just in case there was anything on the ship that they wanted. With that planned out the duo made plans with Coal to meet up before the ship, going there together like they mentioned doing in the Valley.
As they arrived in Whitewater though sure enough the second Coal saw the two of them she swept them up into a large hug, Beta returning the hug with a smile while Alpha returned it with a pat on the back which was close enough to a hug. "It's great to see you too Coal! We're doing great. Hope everythings going well with you too." Beta beamed smiling at her friend.
"Yeah it's nice to see you Coal, this whole cruise thing is pretty exciting. Never been around the ocean before." For once Alpha seemed to have his guard down, he was a bit tired of the whole focusing thing. Maybe this was just what the Hackmon needed for a break. He even had a small smile.
The next question about being taken to the ship did surprise Alpha, did she mean to carry the two of them? However Beta didn't even hesitate. "We don't mind! Right Alpha?" Beta asked tilting her head to the side as she usually did.
Alpha wasn't too sure about that, part of him preferred to just walk but Coal seemed so happy... "Yeah I don't mind, lead the way Coal." Alpha responded with a small smirk letting the Renamon carry the two of them. They also decided just to let her talk about the whole cruise thing, after all she had the cash.

Post by Yuji Moriyama and Kazuo on Jun 3, 2021 22:41:01 GMT
"A cruise ship journey?" The little Tentomon Kazuo asked his partner Yuji Moriyama as the two of them arrived in Whitewater via Digiport. "You mean like one of those ships like the Titanic? Won't it just hit an iceberg and sink just like that ship did? Why would you want to go on one of those?"
"First of all, that was only as much of a disaster as it was because they were overconfident about the ship being unsinkable," Yuji responded to his Digimon partner as the two walked through the city. "Besides, if we do sink then you do have the ability to fly, be able to help save us and all that. Secondly, I overheard some Digimon here in Ys talking about it, figured that it'd be a fun thing for us to do. As you can tell, my... family and I don't go on many trips. It gets boring hanging around the apartment all day."
"Yeah. Your dad scares me, honestly..."
"...yeah, same here, buddy... hey, that must be the cruise ship right there," Yuji pointed out as they reached the docks. It was rare that the young man wouldn't immediately change topic when his family was brought up. It was clear that he wasn't all too fond about discussing his own. He opened up a holographic screen on his Digivice that showed the amount of Bits the duo has. "Let's see... 4,625 Bits... let's hope that's enough to get on. Come on, Kaz."
With Kazuo hovering closely behind Yuji, the duo headed down to the docks. There were a few Digimon gathering up currently, trying to get their own tickets and everything. There was even a unique BlackRenamon carrying two dragons with her like they were teddy bears- wait what?
"Is she holding actual Digimon, Yuyu?" Kazuo quietly asked his partner.
"I... think she is," Yuji responded, raising an eyebrow and crossing his arms.
"...Yuyu, would it be possible to-"
"Do I look like I'm strong enough to hold onto you, Kazuo?"
"...No, you don't. Sorry."
"It's alright, bud."

Post by Nik & Brad on Jun 4, 2021 7:44:35 GMT
It had been a couple of years now since Niko ‘Nik’ Hinare had become aware of his status as a chosen – partner to Brad the Bearmon (who lately preferred to live in his Adult level of Gryzmon). At first, Nik was unsure of how it would affect his life in Japan moving forward, but, as things moved forward, he was beginning to think that maybe life in the digital world would be better for him?
All he had going in Japan was being a strong sportsman, but he had arrived at the point where sports couldn’t fulfil his life, not when he had a whole other world available to him. And once he joined KIZNA, Nik was more inclined to see his future there, in the ancient city of Ys, where he and Brad intended to conduct themselves with distinction.
This was enhanced further when Nik’s boyfriend Alan also committed more to the digital world. Sure, one day he’d have to tell all this to his parents, as to why he would not go to college or sign up for a professional sporting contract. But for now, his goals were to reach his full potential as a chosen, and help his fellows in KIZNA.
Tagging along, since they had brought him out of stasis in an old DWR lab, was Bixby the Gomamon, also eager to help out KIZNA and its designs. While eccentric and sometimes downright kooky, Nik and Brad saw Bixby as a good digimon, merely from a different time. And he certainly knew more about the digital world than they did. The Gomamon followed them most places outside of Ys, using his hovering module so that he wasn’t reduced to walking on land, which he was unsuited for.
This latest task that Nik was made aware of was to attend the maiden voyage of a ship built by one of Ys’s trading partners. Nik and Brad were eager to take up the offer, mainly because it would mean they would travel south to Whitewater, where it was warmer. They had lived so long in Ys that Nik had forgotten the last time he had experienced warm weather.
Furthermore, it would give them the chance to work alongside Ryouta and Valt, a senior duo of KIZNA. Nik and Brad had rarely come across them, but from what they had seen, they were very impressed. Ryouta was bigger and more muscular than the 1.9m Nik, and his partner Valt was also very impressive for a V-mon.
“Aw, do we have to pay for this?” Bixby asked, somewhat miffed at this fact as they arrived in Whitewater.
“We have enough, bro, don’t worry.” Nik assured him. The warm, tropical weather of Whitewater had put the young Maori man in a good mood, so he didn’t mind being a little out of pocket for the maiden voyage. Besides, after spending a year in Ys, even through its harsh winter, he thought a tropical pleasure cruise was just what they needed. And best of all, he’d still be doing good work for KIZNA, so he hoped.
Nik, Brad or Bixby hadn't met anyone on board yet, so once he was accepted on, he'd give a cheerful wave. Nik was dressed in more tropical attire here, wearing cargo shorts, sandals, a blue button-up shirt and his usual headband. Brad meanwhile was in his Gryzmon form, wearing just a red vest, bearing the symbol of KIZNA.

Huh, come to think of it... there have yet to be a lot of people here... could it be?
"...Scalpers," Valt muttered as he looked below.
At the ticket booth, a nervous looking Betamon is trying to calm down the customers. "Dear customers please wait a second! We'll be counting the availability of the rooms and the ships in question..."
It might sounded strange, but there are two teams inside... basically, they'll be checking whether there's scalpers, or it's just people who's buying a lot. From the look of it though... It's definitely scalpers. Valt looked around for a shady corner of the pier.
".... I'll go there. Aniki, tell Brad and Nik they could come in without ticket. They have the invitations anyway... supposedly."
"Mmm, you do that. I'll go to the ticket booth."
Both Ryouta and Valt jumped off the boat. Valt immediately evolved to XVmon to gain aerial speed while Ryouta just simply landed and continue to run toward the ticket booth.
"Hey, sorry! There's a little situation. We'll be solving this shortly--" Ryouta's words quickly got cut by a squeaky voice
"Hey, what are you doing! Put me down!"
Valt would toss an Opossummon to the nearest security guard. The Digimon's trenchcoat fluttered and tons of tickets flew out of it.
"Scalper caught. Next time around I guess we would need something like... direct purchase based of people present rather than letting people buy and scalp it somehow. Lest we have situation like this again."
"W-what are you even doing? I'm buying it off legally! I can do whatever I want with my tickets! You have no rights!"
"Actually, we do. By the order of the owner, if a scalper is found, then said scalper's ticket is invalid, except for one, lowest price ticket. The rest will be distributed to other people at discounted rate. Let's see.... how was the guide again? Suite for 1000 bits, normal rooms for 500 bits, and capsule room free of charge." Valt retorted while looking at the exact wording on KIZNA forum. "This business forbids scalping activities because our desire is to create equal chance for everyone to experience a cruise, slightly luxurious and but much more affordable. Scalping is against that ideal."
Valt checked all the ticket from the scalper after he's sure all of them are there... and thankfully, he's the only scalper. The ticket vacancies and the room numbers matched, and therefore...
"It's all accounted for. We can roll discounted rate for the customers." Valt said.
"So you've heard. It's 1000 bits for personal suite, 500 bits for normal, single room and free for capsule room. It will be first come first serve, so please do queue in order. Nik, Brad, Bixby, you're clear by the way. You don't need to pay. We have the invitation after all," Ryouta told them.
