Day at the Cinema Gone Wrong(OPEN)

Kshin trotted just ahead of Mandrake and Lothar excited because this was his first trip to the Human World. In his holosuit he took on the disguise of a ten year old Asian boy but not of Japanese descent. Peeking behind him he realized he was getting quite a bit ahead of Mandrake and Lothar and trotted back to them until he was walking between them.
Mandrake and Lothar chuckled at Kshin's enthusiasm. Mandrake himself felt that same excitement when he first came to Shibuya even though things almost went bad when someone tried to mug him. Soon the family arrived at the cinema planning to watch a movie. The three of them made their way inside after paying for enough tickets for the three of them and their senses were overrun by the smell of food.
"Wait here. I'll go get the drinks and popcorn." Lothar said as he stepped into line but was still easily noticeable since he was disguised as a six foot eight muscular titan.
As both Mandrake and Kshin quietly waited for Lothar an unknown voice spoke up. "What a cute little boy. Is he with you?"
The stranger's voice startled Kshin causing him to grasp ahold of Mandrake's hand both of which now were covered with white gloves while using his holosuit now since he was self conscious of his artificial limb and even disguised someone could tell he had a fake arm if they grabbed him. Mandrake turned and faced the stranger who seemed to be an American tourist. Kshin wanted nothing to do with her it seemed as he, still clutching Mandrake's hand, hid himself behind Mandrake as if there was something about her the youngster didn't like.
Deciding to still be polite, Mandrake smiled before he said "Yes he is my adopted son, Kshin, however I've never seen him act shy around strangers before."
"That's all right. Some kids seem to hide from me but I don't know why." the lady said with a chuckle.
Mandrake then felt Kshin snuggle into him but before he could respond Lothar had returned bearing popcorn and drinks. Seeing Lothar Kshin's eyes lit up and Lothar handed him a large popcorn and drink before then handing Mandrake a large drink and small popcorn before holding onto the last large drink and another large popcorn which puzzled the woman but she said nothing.
The family then walked into the movie they paid to see and sat down in the middle row with Kshin sitting down on to Lothar's left side and Mandrake sat down on his right. The woman sat down silently in the row behind them and the movie began. As the movie went on with Kshin munching on his popcorn and drinking his soda, Mandrake had taken hold of Lothar's hand since he they both had a free hand after setting their drinks down. As their fingers intertwined the three of them felt as if they were being watched but didn't seem to care.
As the movie ended the family of three got up with empty popcorn buckets and drink cups in hand and headed out of the theater throwing out their garbage in the respective bin it belonged before heading out of the cinema but they still felt eyes on them. It was then the woman opened her mouth causing the family to face her with Kshin clutching Mandrake's hand again and hiding behind him. The tirade that spewed from her mouth was nothing but foul and hateful causing confusion and anger to flow from the disguised digimon.
Lothar not being able to take it anymore clenched his teeth and fists in an attempt to restrain himself before running off. When the woman smugly grinned Mandrake glared at her with a disgusted look in his sapphire eyes before he said "Come Kshin, she's not worth it." Kshin said nothing but nodded in agreement as Mandrake led him away the woman thankfully not following. With Lothar being a fast runner it might take awhile to catch up since there were other disguised digimon in the city and since in his holosuit all Mandrake could do was be alert of who was and who wasn't a digimon. In other words a needle in a haystack.

To help Sakura get the hang of the human world, Hana had led the disguised Lillymon around town for a while before the two of them decided to see a movie at the local cinema. It wouldn't look out of place for a couple of teenagers to go see a movie, after all.
At first, everything seemed fine. They got some drinks and popcorn shortly after two men and their kid got theirs. Their voices seemed familiar, but neither Hana nor Sakura could quite figure out who they were. At least not until after the movie ended, that is.
As they started heading out of the theater, they overheard a tourist lady start spewing a ton of hateful garbage at the family from earlier, which the two teens finally realized were Mandrake, Lothar and Kshin.
"Hana, go wait outside, please. I'll take care of this." Sakura said, the disguised Lillymon's tone laced with cold anger. Hana hurried outside as Sakura walked over and placed a hand on the tourist's shoulder.
"Ma'am? Those people have done absolutely nothing to offend anyone who doesn't share your medieval and archaic worldview." Sakura calmly stated. Though her tone was neutral and she had a smile on her face, the smile did not reach her eyes, giving her a rather unsettling look on her face. "You claim that their behavior is disgraceful and offensive? Perhaps you should look in a mirror, because the only one being offensive and setting a poor example for others here is you."

Before Mandrake and Kshin got far a familiar voice calling out the woman on her disgusting behavior was heard. Curious Mandrake turned his head seeing the woman about to open her mouth likely planning to spew more hateful filth out of it but seeing the audience she had gotten glared at Mandrake and scoffed before disappearing into the crowd hopefully planning to mind her own business from that point on but Mandrake understood types like her. What he didn't understand was what he had done to offend her. Feeling Kshin tug on his arm he looked down and said "I know, Kshin, we have to find Lothar. Let's hope he didn't go far in his attempt to calm down."
"Not only that but I smell Hana nearby. Maybe she can help." Kshin said with hope in his voice but not letting go of Mandrake. He wanted to make sure he wouldn't lose track of his other adopted parent.
Meanwhile Lothar had made it to a nearby park. Taking deep breathes he tried to calm himself down until his fists unclenched before silently sitting on a bench and began clutching his head. He was glad for his control of his temper but he had to keep working on it because he couldn't always run from areas and leave Mandrake and any of their children to face such monstrous people on his own. At least he didn't deck the woman.

While Sakura was scolding the tourist lady, Hana went into a nearby alleyway and pulled out her digivice to discreetly pull Rush out of the V-pet program. Once the Keramon had materialized, she quickly filled him in on the situation and tasked him with discreetly following the horrible woman so that he could give her a scare once she was alone. The Keramon saluted in agreement before climbing to the top of the theater to find his target
As Hana went back to regroup with Sakura, the angry Lillymon had no idea what Hana had just unleashed on that despicable tourist. "Yeesh, some humans are so horrible to others. At least we don't usually have to worry about that back home. Especially in Ys."
"Yeah, some people are just jerks. Not much you can do about that." Hana agreed. Tourists really shouldn't be so rude to others. "What should we do now?"
"Honestly, I'm not sure." Sakura said with a sigh.

The woman's voice was then heard as if she was now loudly talking on a phone from the direction that she disappeared in and caught Mandrake's and Kshin's attention. Clearly she was still determined to be a nuisance in some form but her words weren't all that clear since she was just far enough away. Spotting Hana shortly after Kshin caught wind of her scent that and spotting what looked like Rush floating off out of the corner of his eye, Mandrake was able to puzzle together what plan she may be hatching. Sighing he approached Hana and asked "Hana you let one or both of your partners loose on that vile woman didn't you?" His tone wasn't angry more like one of a stern parent disappointed in their child. Though at some level he did feel amused the woman was dealing with a scare from a digimon or maybe two.
Kshin stayed close still not releasing Hana's hand and said "Hi, Hana. What was with that lady? What did Mandrake and Lothar do wrong? All they were doing was holding hands during the movie and then after the lady went berserk. Wait, Mandrake, we have to find Lothar. I know he should be okay but he was so mad when he ran off."

"Well, teeeechnically just Rush, since Data's not accompanying us right now. But don't worry, he's only gonna scare her for being such a jerk." Hana admitted, causing Sakura to facepalm at the revelation before smacking Hana on the back of her head. "Ow, what was that for? She deserved it!"
"Hana, you're an idiot. You just unleashed a complete wildcard of a Keramon upon this city just to get petty revenge on a complete stranger. Do you know how much unwanted attention this could draw to us?" Sakura scolded the human teen with a stern look. Hana... couldn't deny that the disguised Lillymon had a point.
"Well, at least Data isn't here? His response would've been much worse." Hana pointed out. It was true, since the Hagurumon did have one heck of a temper.
"I hate to admit it, but you do have a point." Sakura reluctantly agreed.
"And to answer your question, Kshin, ... I hate to tell you this, but not every human is accepting of same-gender couples. The world isn't a fair place, I'm afraid." Hana sadly told the kid.
Meanwhile, Rush would follow the tourist lady until she was alone, at which he would climb down the wall of the building he was on until he was almost right on top of her. "FoUnD yOu. HeHeHeHeHe!"
If the lady looked up, she would find herself merely a few feet away from the Keramon, who would give her a sinister-looking grin that showed off his too-wide mouth and many pointed teeth.

Mandrake couldn't help but smirk at Sakura when she smacked Hana on the back of her head before scolding the human teen. "I hope Rush doesn't cause too much trouble. Last thing we need is a ton of unwanted attention due to this petty prank." Apparently Data wasn't there so that was one last thing to worry about at least since Data could be a bit hot headed.
As for Kshin he listened to Hana's explanation looking more confused before he said "But digimon don't technically have genders, Hana. We just choose one as part of our identity and usually while we're very young. That and 'same gender' couples are far from uncommon in the Digital World."
Then the sound of a scream was heard as apparently Rush had found his target with the woman running back in their direction and past them without a word. Kshin dove behind Mandrake just incase the woman had decided to lash out at them again. "It's okay, Kshin, she's gone so you can come out now."
Kshin came into sight still clutching Mandrake's hand before he asked "Can we look for Lothar now, Mandrake?"
Mandrake nodded before looking at Hana and Sakura and then said "Would you like to help us find him when Rush comes back?"

"Well, things are different for humans, Kshin." Hana explained, fidgeting a bit at the uncomfortable topic. She looked at Sakura for assistance, but the Lillymon just shrugged at her. "We're born with one physical gender, and it takes a male and a female human to have a kid. For a large portion of human history, this meant that romantic relationships between those of the same gender have been frowned upon or punished. Even though that has changed in recent years, some people still cling to those outdated beliefs. That's why that lady was such a jerk to your dads, since they look like a pair of human males in their holosuits."
When Rush crawled back down into the alleyway after scaring his target, Hana patted him on the head and let him finish off the rest of her remaining popcorn from the movie before returning him to her digivice. "There we go. No one got hurt, so no problem. Do you have any ideas as to where Lothar might have gone, or should we split up and look?"

Seeing Hana's discomfort Mandrake decided to chip in with "A lot of hate seems to stem from a combination of fear and ignorance but sadly some folks are not able or are not willing to try and adapt as times change. Unfortunately since this form of hatred for humans is so deep rooted in human history it sounds like it won't change very soon."
"But it doesn't seem fair. Couldn't she have just left us alone since she hates same gendered couples." Kshin said trying to puzzle things out.
"Unfortunately hate can drive others to act in ways that are considered strange. Sometimes such hate can lead to violence so I guess we're all lucky it didn't get that far." Mandrake said with a sigh.
Now they had to find Lothar so Mandrake tapped into the limited use he had of his abilities while in his holosuit before he said "Since Lothar is fast he could easily be several blocks away by now and since I'm in my holosuit my digimon abilities are limited to only being able to tell if someone is a digimon or a human and Lothar could of taken off into somewhere with multiple digimon."
"I guess his disguise being a tall muscular man helps narrow things down." Kshin said as Mandrake was focusing as much as he could without disrupting his disguise.
His eyes lit up as he sensed a digimon not far and saw a park. "Maybe Lothar went to that park nearby to cool off. I don't sense humans over that way."

"Well, I guess we'll have to mostly trust you guys to ID Lothar once we find him, since neither I nor Hana actually got a good look at him before he ran off." Sakura admitted, while giving Mandrake and Kshin an apologetic shrug. "Hate to say it, but it's the truth."
"The park's still a good place to check, though. Definitely wouldn't hurt, anyways." Hana added. The look that then crossed her face was one that was hard to discern, but her next words would make it easier to understand what she was feeling. "Man, I'm not prepared for this kind of situation, so I have no idea what I'm doing."
"I honestly don't think anyone could be prepared for this situation, both for finding and comforting a loved one or dealing with an ignorant witch like that lady was." Sakura said, before having a quick realization and heading over to Mandrake and whispering something to him. "Er, is it okay if I call her that? I know you're a Wizardmon, so I legitimately don't know if you'd find it offensive to call someone as horrible as she is a witch. 'Cuz if I have offended you in any way, I deeply apologize for my own ignorance."

"It's okay, Sakura. Seeing as that woman was making herself more noticeable it is understandable that you didn't get a good look at Lothar." Mandrake said as he focused on the park again. No humans but there was a definitely a digimon.
"I understand how lost you two feel. I've never faced this kind of human in either the Digital World or the Human World. As for that dreadful woman, Sakura, judging by how witches tend to be viewed in stories witch seems to be far to generous but you can call her that without hurting offending me in anyway." Mandrake said as he began walking for the park.
Before following Mandrake, Kshin looked back at Hana and Sakura and asked "You guys coming?"
The group soon entered the park seeing a large muscular man slouching forward on a bench with his head in his hands. Lothar was much calmer now but wasn't ready to leave the park even though he knew Mandrake and Kshin would be worried about him. At least he didn't destroy anything in his anger. "Lothar?" Mandrake asked his voice breaking the dead silence in the park causing Lothar to sit up straight seeing Mandrake and Kshin as well as Hana and someone he wasn't familiar with as well.
