Name: Kazuki Sugiyama
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Height: 188cm // 6’2”
Weight: 63kg // 141 lbs
Birth Date: August 18
Birth Place: Burbank, California, United States
Digivice: Red and Gold Xros Loader
Personality: Most people that see Kazuki see this brooding, edgy loney type, but in actuality, Kazuki Sugiyama is anything but. While he’s certainly been keeping his distance from his peers as of late, he’s honestly a fairly outgoing person. Kazuki is a deeply passionate, emotional person who throws all of himself into anything he’s committed to. However, he’s much more sensitive than he’d care to admit, and his reckless pursuit of his emotions often gets him hurt more often than not, causing him to retreat into himself for a while.
That said, Kazuki is ultimately a dumb teenager, and he thinks this brooding, calm personality of his is much better than what’s underneath, and he tries to maintain that image of himself. Being hot-headed in the past hasn’t really worked out so well for him, emotionally-speaking, so he’s set up this cool persona to protect himself in one form or another. Unfortunately, Kazuki’s kind of a dork, and his idea of cool is kind of... dumb.
Appearance: Standing well above average height, Kazuki is all height and no width, as he feels he looks a little too awkward and skinny for his height. He has deep, brown eyes and matching hair, often disheveled and tangled. He insists that it’s an intentional style, but in actuality, he’s just too lazy to get it cut. He often dresses in simple but comfortable clothes. He carries his red jacket with him wherever he goes, but he always seems to carry it over his shoulder or something, hardly ever putting it on.
FaceClaim: YU-GI-OH! GX • judai yuki • Kazuki Sugiyama
Personal History: Born in the good ‘ol US of A, Kazuki’s father, Yusuke, was a Japanese native who worked at the American office of a certain mouse-eared evil corporation bent on world domination. His mother, Eleanor, was the reason her father moved out to America in the first place, also worked at that evil corporation bent on monopolizing literally everything in the world.
Unfortunately, Eleanor made the mistake of being a fictional character’s mother and started wearing her braid over her shoulder. Naturally, she died tragically when Kazuki was barely a teen. Naturally, this meant that Kazuki felt more like an anime protagonist and definitely didn’t traumatize him or give him any deep-seated abandonment issues or anything of the sort.
And thanks to his father’s grief, he decided to move back to his homeland, dragging Kazuki back along with him. Which totally sucked, because he was head over heels in love with this one girl he’d been dating for a bit, Erica, and now he had to move away. They tried the long distance thing, but it just didn’t work out for the hormonal teenagers.
Thanks to his dad, he knew enough to be Japanese to be functional enough. But between the loss of his mother and his first ever, was-totally-gonna-last-forever-and-ever relationship, he decided to shut himself away, emotionally. Plus Japanese schools were way different than the schools back home, and were way too stuffy for his own liking. And it was so damned crowded here, that he felt like he couldn’t be the special snowflake that he knew he was, deep-down inside.
But it’s been almost three years now, and shockingly, his father recently got remarried. Maybe it was just his father’s preferences or something, but it was to another woman from the US, Jessica Sugiyama. This was the perfect in with them, alongside Kazuki’s brand new stepsister, Chloe, an angsty girl that’s clearly not happy with being here in Japan.
But this was the perfect opportunity for Kazuki to make a change for the better, right? He wasn’t really sure how he felt about his new family. Jessica seemed to just tolerate him, but she was really into his dad, and his dad seemed happy enough. His new step-sister didn’t seem to like anyone, and denied all of Kazuki’s offers to help her adjust to her new life.
Welp... that was a lost cause. Still... that feeling of wanting to help someone didn’t seem to go away. And he wasn’t sure why, but he felt like there was someone out there, like really OUT THERE, who would one day need his help. And if this creature happened to be a digital alien that claimed to be from space... so be it.
Digimon Name: Captain Sternheld
Gender: Male
Personality: Captain Sternheld, or just Stern, as he tends to prefer, claims to be from space. Whether it’s true or not is up for debate, as he’s structurally identical to any other Digimon, and doesn’t seem too out of place or anything. In fact, he’s quite reserved and tame. He can’t actually express any emotions on his face, so he can be hard to read when he’s standing perfectly still.
But despite his expressionless demeanor, Stern is a Digimon that has a Heated heart that burns with a passion, ready to answer the Emergency call for Righteous justice, almost as if possessed by the Oversoul for everything that is good and just in the world.
But Stern knows that just wanting to do the right thing isn’t always enough, and is more than willing to work with others for the greater good, even willing to risk the safety of others, if they’re ready and willing to do so. Stern knows how little one can accomplish on his own, and is open to seek allies of any kind of background in order to achieve his goals. And what are his goals? Well... other than just vaguely saying “doing the right thing”, he’s fairly tight-minded about the subject!

Family/ies: Nature Spirits, Metal Empire
Type: Mutant
Abilities:
[Non-Combat]
0. Mind Mouth - So apparently Stern is from space or some shit, and that means he can communicate telepathically for whatever reason. Which is good, because he can’t speak normally. Unfortunately, he can’t read minds under normal circumstances, so those he speaks to can’t reciprocate, unless they also communicate telepathically.

2. Star Beam - A highly spammable star-shaped beam of energy.

3. Mind Link - Anyone willing to make a mind link with Stern can do so by simply touching him, allowing them to communicate telepathically for one, big ol’ group call. This ability is only used to send messages, however. No one linked up with this ability can actually read minds or anything of the sort.
