As Joseph shook the hand of the great yang, he felt something in his skin, like climbing , making light crawl up his arm. A strange event indeed, but not enougth to stop Jospeh, especially because the light was also crawling the Anubismon`s arm.
"And now that we`re stuck with each other, why not show a bit of your abilities?" Joseph requested.
"I`m afraid I can`t do that. My abilities don`t tend to be very well seen by the population, and if I show myself, then our secrecy is going away isn`t it?" The great yang replied,
"Well, but you`ve a got a small army too, don`t you?" Joseph inquired.
"Oh, but of course. Still can we trust those two? You didn`t tell me of them."
"They`re Jackson and Shortmon. I`d say they could at least say "hi", but oh well. And you should be showing me your skills, so if they try anything funny, you can do your thing."
"I see. Come with me." The great yang flied to a map on the Wall, one of those ancient, landscape maps. He pointed at what seemed to be a set of mountains. "Most of my troops are here. They await my commands, and I will await for yours. I trust you gathered other powerfull digimon?"
Shortmon looked confused as they mentioned their "armies". His biggest question was why they would need an army, but that seemed obvious. Armies are usually used to either fight for or defend something. What that something was, neither of them knew. But Jackson just looked at the map, trying to see where they were pointing at, but the location was an area he had not yet explored.
"What do you guys need armies for?" Jackson asked out of curiosity. Even Shortmon was curious, but they knew he wouldn't be the one to ask. The Anubismon was intimidating. It was also clear that the digimon was most likely stronger than him, so he found it best not to ask. But Jackson seemed not to care. And even if it did try to attack them because they were a 'problem', there were plenty of strong digimon above that could be of assistance to them.
"You shouldn't..." The great yang began as he heard Jackson's question. "I thought he knew!"
"Well, he doesn't. How do I put this? Have you ever heard of the American constituition, Jackson? It says that if the government doesn't respect the rights of their citzens, they have the right to rebel. Freedoom is one of those rights. So put simple...this is a cry for freedoom." Joseph explained.
"Before you say anything, Jackson and Shirtmon, I must tell you...I can feel your mind. It's no use trying to call the people above. Before we leave, they can't hear you. And when we leave this place, I'm a simple tea expert as far as they know. Yes, the name great yang is reputed badly. But you can't assossiate it with me out there, except to those who follow me and my rituals. In other words...nobody will come to your assistance or even believe your words if you try to tell them anything about me, so why not just settel down for hearing? Me and Joseph are almost done anyway." The great yang explained.
"But you have been silnced all day, Shortmon. You don't wanna say anything? I'm sure you have a beautifull voice!" Minomon proposed.
"Shut up you worm!" Chronomissimon complained in response.
"Seems a little extreme." Shortmon said, which kinda surprised Jackson. Shortmon was staring at the Anubismon, not sure on what else to say. A rebellion? For what? Shortmon also didn't believe that they would try to kill them. They could look at Jackson and Shortmon as a member of the army forced to join, with all of the forms that Shortmon could take in the future. But Shortmon or Jackson would not allow this to happen. They would have to drug him somehow to do what they wanted. But never know what is in this world.
"So why haven't you killed us yet if you know we want to call to everyone above?" Jackson wasn't sure what they were planning, but he could already tell he wasn't going to like it. If he did, then they have some good persuasion skills, because Jackson isn't likely to change his views on this rebellion they were planning. And Anubismon could also be manipulating this tamer, he didn't seem exactly like the nicest guy.
"I knew you had beautifull voice Shortmon." Minomon said before getting hit by Chronomissimon, in an attempt to have her shut up. The great yang laugthed.
"You fool. You're gonna stand up to us? Alllow me to make that demonstration afterall." the anubismon said raising his arm as a small flow of raw data emerged from it and formed a holographic agumon "I remember deleting this digimon. Such a good child...a shame his parent's refused to pay their debts. But now, I have a use for such a child. Come forth! Power of the Passage!"
The candles in the room turned purple as the holographic agumon turned back to raw data and was invaded with a strange black smoke which greatly grew. Then the smoke started to condensate and take shape until it finnaly turned into a digimon. A monstrous, horrific, skeletoc digimon. A skullgreymon, right in the middle if that room. There seemed to be a sort of black chain around it's neck, but the use was unknown to Joseph or his partners.
"As you can see I can nit only rebirth my enemies into my service, I can make them stronger." The great yang explained "So Jackson and Shirtmon, we are not concerned about you. That and what I explained before make it impossible for you to disturb our plans."
"You seem to have this skullgreymon quite controlled." Chronomissimon said.
"How do we know it's real?" Shortmon stared at the large SkullGreymon, not sure what to think of it. It was indeed a powerful digimon, but to know if it was real would determine whether he should be scared. Of course he was already scared, but if it was just a hologram of some sort, then the shortcake digimon would be much more calm on the inside. On the outside he tried to look calm, but he wasn't sure on how well he was doing at this. When he looked up to Jackson, all he could see was frustration with a mix of determination to get out of this mess.
Jackson had been studying the monstrous digimon, but couldn't tell what he should do. The general thought about escaping, but he assumed the Anubismon would just block off all of the exits, if there were any in the room. Jackson also thought about somehow destroying the SkullGreymon, if it was even real. But he did wonder what the black chain was. The Xros General assumed it was some sort of device to control it, as that what chains do. Chains control and limit what someone or something can do, like a dangerous prisoner.
The great Yang laughed when Shortmon questioned if the Skullgreymon was real.
"My short fellow, this skullgreymon is as real as any ghost. And ghosts are VERY real, I tell you from experience. But I can make a small demonstration. Go, my slave." The Anubismon stated.
The Skullgreymon raised a fist and threw a punch in the direction of Jackson and Shortmon, creating a crater in the wall that was behind them, causing several pieces of rock to fly in all directions and the room itself to shake for a moment.
"Do you believe now? And Jackson, the chain keep the skullgreymon from returning to the dead. But it's useless to attack them. Even if you do break them, I can just summon him back from the dead. Why do you think Joseph came here to deal with me? He knows of the value I have when it comes to war." The Great Yang said.
"Impressive." Joseph commented, nodding "But it's getting late. Maybe we should get going."
"Wait. Before you go, you have to drink this." The anubismon said. "It will make you forget where I am forever, yet you still remember the events that passed here well...this is, once you leave this city."
The anubismon pointed a a few glasses of some kind of green liquid , and so did his partners. He looked at Jackson and his digimon.
Shortmon and Jackson dived out of the way from the attack sent from the SkullGreymon. It was very intimidating, but the two wasn't gonna let that scare them. He assumed he would get to leave, and he would definitely get some friends that Shortmon can Xros with to stop this Anubismon. Of course everyone had there limits, but what this digimons weakness is he would not know just yet. But for now he had to focus on getting stronger. That was the thing on both of their minds.
"So we will just be leaving now..." Shortmon announced as the two began walking off. Jackson was frustrated along with his partner. They would've loved to figure out what they could do, but with Shortmon in this form, it would be nearly impossible to defeat them. Jackson could take out the tamers digimon, but he wasn't to sure about the SkullGreymon or the Anubismon.
(OOC: Just so you know, the potion the great yang is offering, causes one to colapse and Forget everything (and I do mean everything) until they are out of the golden city, eldoradimon)
As Jackson and Shortmon intended to leave, the Anubismon raised his arms. All the exits closed immediatly and the Skullgreymon got ready to launch na attack. The great Yang began to laugh his lungs out, na evil, macabre laugther.
"You really thought...? Hah! Never. You have to choices: either you drink the potion and leave on my terms, or can refuse, die here and stay here until I use your bodies to infuse them into my armies. The only reason I don`t just do it right now is because you came here with Joseph and I have a deal with him to forfill. So...will you drink?"
Joseph was glad to have such a powerfull, seemingly loyal digimon as na ally and so was Chronomissimon. Only Minomon was concerned about the xros general and his partner.
"As I said, drink up first Jackson and Shortmon. After that we will too." Joseph stated with a grin "And just as a little incentive, may I remind you that all I have to do is give permission and you will have na essentially immortal army of digimon after you?"
Minomon approached Jackson and Shortmon, a tear falling from her eyes.
"Please, drink. I`ll thank you on Joseph`s behalf for your aid on finding the great yang." Minomon begged "But please drink, otherwise you`d might get killed by him. I don`t you to die!"
Shortmon looked up to Jackson, hoping for an answer, but Jackson was staring at the drink. He didn't have a good feeling about it.
"So why did you bring me down here in the first place?" Jackson asked trying to avoid taking the drink. BUt it was also a question he was curious about. Staring directly at Joseph, he awaited an answer to escape his mouth. Shortmon turned his head away from Jackson and looked around as Jackson tried to buy some time. He could try making a ton of noise, but then assumed he would be killed instantly. He couldn't go out the way they came in, and he didn't notice any other exits. The only exit he could think of was drinking the beverage offered, but that seemed to be Jackson's last choice.
"Couldn't we just work something else out?" Shortmon asked Joseph. Maybe they could cook something for him instead, or give him a discount at the restaurant Jackson's family owned. It was rather unlikely, but it was nice to dream. Shortmon seemed to have unrealistic ideas, but it's good for him, that's what he thought anyway.
The great Yang laughed at Jackson's attempt to avoid taking the drink,
"How pathetic! I bet even Joseph knew what was in your mind when you said that! Don't worry about, child...you aren't gonna come out of here till you drink." The Anubismon told Jackson. "Now, come on just drink."
"You'd better do as he says Jackson. It's either that or you'll have the same fate as the one that guy used to be." Joseph said with a mischievous smile as he pointed at the Skullgreymon "Personally I advise the beverage. All it will do is kick you out till you outta this place, so you can never find his hideout again. Nobody needs to be harmed. Besides, the tea is actually supposed to be pretty good. C'mon what we want with this is simple: avoid causing panic before the time is right. It's easy: you drink, you wake up outside the city, nobody beloved what you saw, everyone moves on with their own life's. I think it sounds good for everyone actually. And no, there is no other option, this is, apart from the one I mentioned previously."
Joseph pointed at the chained Skullgreymon again. He was loosing his patience...a little more and he'd have to order the Great Yang to kill Jackson and Shortmin to avoid havoc.
"As to why we showed you this place, it's simple: you helped us find it. If we refused to take you along, you'd probably try to investigate on your own, which would likely end up with people being curious and finding about stuff we are not interested in them knowing." Chronomissimon explained.
The Great Yang laughed again.
"Oh, Shortmon, such funny thoughts you have..." he commented.
"Don't worry, we'll find you some other day." Jackson spoke as he took the drink from their newly found enemy. Shortmon looked scared, but Jackson assured him that they would be fine. However, the general wasn't so sure himself. He was nervous, and he definitely didn't trust the Anubismon or the tamer. It was more of a "do it or else" situation. If there was another exit, he definitely would take it.
Shortmon was the first to drink, and then Jackson. They weren't sure how long the drink would take to do its thing, but they stood with eachother as they waited for it to course through their bodies.
[Sorry for short post, not really sure what to put ]
Joseph saw the xros general and his digimon taking the potion with joy. Finnaly the did it, he was loosing patience, truly. Jposeph and his partner took it in Sewell, with one last stare into the room before the world began to turn black around them. Soon, they passed out.
Joseph and his partners woke up lying on the grass outside the golden city. They could remember what happened, thought the memory was still glory. It would take weeeks for them to be able to recall all the details. Jackson and Shortmin were nowhere to be seen, and Joseph concluded they were dragged out in a different direction than them. Very good. Now the xros general and his partner would be unable to find him or his partners, not even the great Ankh again. And if they couldn't find them, they could never prove that sigimon to be guilty of what they just saw. A good day of work.
Joseph, Chronomissimon and Minomon then left the place, seeking their next dealer.
A tiny digimon, a little Tsumemon, had latched onto the giant digimon, draining it's data at a rate the digimon couldn't notice, and that the digimon could not be harmed, or even weakened, it's nails were dug into it's back and it's eye wore an expression of... content? The digimon had stumbled across this island by chance, as it was chasing after a cluster of digicores and that led it to a cliff where it crawled over the edge, digging it's nails into the cliff wall. For the very first time, It's simple mind was astounded by the sight of such an enormous digimon, as even the champion level were like ants in comparison, it couldn't help but imagine that this size and magnitude could be what it could be someday.
Tsumemon quickly forgot about the fallen digicores and boarded the enormous digimon and latched onto it, and started draining it's power, slowly, ever since. At this rate, it was growing stronger as slowly as ever, but he didn't need to work nearly as hard. This was the reason behind it's content expression, it has been on the digimon for several days. Unfortunately, it was recently discovered by the digimon who monitored the island and was recognized as a parasite. Tsumemon was forced to flee, and tumbled off the expansive digimon and fell into the macro sea, tsumemon was easily able to survive the fall, and landed on the ocean floor, scuttling away.
