“I know it was around here..it has to be!”
As part of the trio’s continuing quest to restore Talia’s memory, Tohru’s latest (and one of the most bold ideas to date) was to go out and find the old underground base they had used in their hacking days in the hopes something in there could spark at least one fragment of memento.
That was of course, if there was anything left of it. For all they knew it could be caved in or completely overrun by rambunctious digimon. Granted the latter would most likely not be an issue now since Tohru liked to think she was strong enough to drive out any unwanted squatters.
Funny enough, that was the very thing that made trekking through these woods feel a bit strange, knowing she was probably overleveled compared to most of what lived here. It was a bit like...walking through the early stage of a game after getting really strong to the point where you could one shot the area’s enemies.
Now Tohru had been wrong before, so she’d remain on her toes. That was precisely why she had Talia holding one of her ear claws, these deep dark woods were too easy to get sucked into like a black hole in space. Combine that context with a person who couldn’t speak and was barely emotionally sentient, one wrong move and they’d never see her again. “Ah!” Speaking of, Tohru was about to panic when she realized there was no longer a human hand clenching her limb. She was relieved however once she saw the human off to the side on her knees innocently examining some flowers.
“Heh, your scientific curiosity never left you, did it?” Talia looked at the rabbit as if to appreciate her support while at the same time puzzled by what she was referring to. This feeling...this urge to poke at the world around her for no other reason than a need to satisfy a certain craving of information accumulation, was this that? Curiosity? Tohru had mentioned before that she’d done some kind of thing with computers among other things pre-memory loss, was it strange to say she could somehow feel those memories without mentally remembering them? She simply shrugged off the question with an anonymous kind of body language and went back to her investigation.
Then it hit Tohru like a stray pebble from a lawnmower.
“...Where did Simba go?”
Somehow the dragon had managed to get separated from his human and sister in the woods and was currently perched on top of a tree in an attempt to spot them. “Tohruuuuuu, where are youuuu…” He didn’t particularly like being alone in these woods, but there was a bigger problem. See, he didn’t mind climbing the tree, but looking down from that height made getting down way too scary! “Come find me pretty please!” He thought about breathing some fire in order to create a smoke signal but decided it wasn’t a good idea in such dense woods.
All the noise had disturbed one particular napping Sunflowmon who was quite ornery about being awoken from their slumber. Its foot stomps practically made the entirety of the woods shake as the large plant dragon creature trudged through the brush towards the source of said disturbance. “You, how dare you pull me from dormancy! I shall punish you!”
Simba squeaked a bit seeing how huge the champion level digimon was but immediately puffed out his chest in an attempt to look a bit more brave. This was his chance! Springing back, he took a big leap right at the flower's face, using the surface as a springboard to jump kick down to the ground, where he sprinted into a run. The big plant could not run through the trees so smoothly due to its body composition and structure, angering it even more to the point where it would probably attack the next living thing that came within a certain radius of it.
