"My name is Jackson." He then looked at the computer looking thing and shrugged his shoulders. He had no idea on what it was and looked at the newly evolved digimon. He wasn't really all that surprised by it changing form. After a couple days in the digital world, not many things could surprise you."
"Jackson, when can we add another digimon to our army? I really want to Xros with someone!" Shortmon was becoming a little anxious and looked up at Jackson. Of course Jackson would give the usual 'We will soon, just be patient' and Shortmon would just get annoyed. That was how it always went down when he brought the question up.
"So where do you plan to hide your digimon? I don't think your digivice can store it in there, but that's just my guess." Jackson knew it would be a problem hiding it. He guessed the digimon would hide in his room for now, but after that he would have to find a larger area.

"Ja...kku?" His really bad English showing. He can't even pronounce it right despite repeating it several times. That aside... perhaps, each of them get different set but still connected to Digimon anyway?
Hide... this is going to be one of those 'I found a stray cat/dog, please let me keep it, Mom/Dad!' kind of situation, isn't it? Yuuki nervously laughed while looking at Dodomon. If Dodomon really a cat, then it shouldn't be a problem, but Dodomon doesn't look remotely close to any creatures from this world. Obviously his family gonna think it's some hellspawn, or probably some monster from outer space. Their reaction might be much more extreme than his.
"...Can I put you on my friend's care?"
"Absolutely not! I'll be really weak, Yuuki! Do you want to kill me!?" the creature denied immediately
"...That's a bit extreme...?"
"A Tamer and their Digimon may not be separated! We're like piece that means to be always together! If we're not together, how would you expect me to protect you, huh? Well? Well!?"
As much as he want to say 'protect from what?', it's true, probably he took it too much for granted. He's too carefree... if there is someone good partnered with a Digimon, then there must be also bad people partnered with Digimon. Maybe soon, he and Dodomon might ends up encountering such people... Self defense is important, and he's not sure if he can goes against them just with him alone.
"...I got it, I'll be in your care, Dodomon. It might be inconvenient, but I'll have to hide you when we're at home."
"Leave it to me! And it's Dorimon now, Yuuki! Digimon have levels, too, you know? From the 'Fresh' Dodomon to the Baby stage, here I am Dorimon! Also, we should try to get stronger. I can't get stronger just by being here! Plus it's inconvenient! That Jackson guy sounds like a good person if you ask me. Maybe he can help the inexperienced you to train me in Digital World! Together is less scary and dangerous, anyway!"
"...Hey, don't talk to me when the person is over there, it's rude."

Jackson stood their awkwardly as the Digimon gave his tamer a lecture. To him it seemed the young digimon was a little bit over the top, but oh well. Jackson then heard his name come up, and it wasn't about something he would enjoy.
"Not to burst your bubble, but I'm not a personal trainer...." Jackson knew nothing on training. With Shortmon, all he did was get into fights and the digimon learned from that. And in the digital world, a fight is something anyone goes looking for. But that was just his opinion. He guessed there were many people who fought in the world of Digimon for fun.
"Looking for fights, if that's what you're asking, can get you killed. Even if it's just training." Shortmon stood and looked down at the purple ball of fur. From what he could see, the digimon was small, so it would be hard to aim at, but if it were to get hit by a strong attack, it would do a lot of damage.

"Dead?" Yuuki repeated that word.
"It doesn't matter! To get strong, it's necessary to take risk--"
"Dead?" Yuuki's voice cut Dorimon's speech. Contrary to the one before, it sounds really sharp and no-nonsense, like torrent of chilly air ready to sizzle out Dorimon's fiery spirit. Turning at his Tamer, Dorimon saw him looking down on him with icy cold eyes.
"...This isn't funny. If that world is really that dangerous, then we're done discussing. Also, don't you dare pulling other people, especially someone you just meet on your own whim to whatever thing you're doing. It's troublesome for them," Yuuki monotonously continued.
"But Yu---"
"No buts. It's final, we're heading home. I don't care if you're upset, but you're my responsibility. I won't let you go to dangerous places. You might be a Digimon, or whatever kind you are, but if it's dangerous and you're badly wounded... or worse, die... I won't have that. Quit being so rash, it's troublesome for me."
The baby Digimon froze. What happened to the cooperative Yuuki? When did this side of him surfaced?
"B-but if I don't fight, I won't get stronger!"
"Fighting to get strong, but dying in the end is stupid!!"
Even yelling doesn't make his temper goes down. This Digimon... why does he felt like his mirror... no, the mirror of him at that time? Playing hero, trying to get strong recklessly... such thing, does he know what will happened to other people that dragged by his action? In the end, if it's dog eats dog kind of world... or something like where 'survival of the fittest' kind of world prevail, then it's best to not enter it.
"...Jakkuson-san, was it? Thank you very much for your guidance. I'm done over here. You're coming with me, Dorimon, want it or not."
The Tamer took his Dorimon and put him to the duffel bag, ignoring the protests from the baby Digimon.

"That's not all that's their. There are good digimon too, and they're not hard to find. Their world is like ours. So don't be so quick to judge it." Shortmon nodded in agreement and was slightly offended when he saw the tamer stuff the digimon into a bag against its will. But he wasn't going to attack him, that wouldn't look good on his reputation.
"And you have to allow your digimon to get stronger. Dorimon is like a digimon magnet. Now that you two are together, digimon are more likely to come to your door, and they aren't always that nice." Shortmon only said this because he wanted the small purple blob to get a chance to see where it came from. Hopefully Yuuki would take his advice and go to the digital world. The cake wasn't sure if he was even correct, but he just put on his poker face and went with it.

"Ku---" Yuuki bit his lip to stop himself from cursing. Had he know it'll be right this, probably he'll continue his Judo... and probably he'll be a black belt instead of a rustic yellow belt. So the thing is if he doesn't get Dorimon to be stronger, he'll be in trouble? His family at it, too?
Dorimon aren't sure of this kind of development, but if it really is a way to get to digital world, he'll be more than happy to take the chance.
"Y-yeah, Yuuki! So see, it's ultra bad if we doesn't go to Digital World to train! See? Even Shortmon gives his testimony!"
"...Fine, fine, I get it. I get it, Dorimon... but you should listen to me and we'll run for it if the time goes bad, understood?"
"Y-yeah!"
But mentally, Dorimon doesn't like the sound of this. If he's depending too much on Yuuki, they'll only fight something at his level mostly... Yuuki is too naive. He's still green. Does all human thinks like him? It's kind of concerning because no matter what, sometime there'll be killing. You can't just be a pacifist when dealing with bad people.
"...So, how to get to Digital World?" Yuuki asked
...Yes, that's the most crucial question

Shortmon was happy that the stubborn tamer took in what he had said. Dorimon seemed happy about it also. Hopefully the Trailmon wouldn't be stubborn when boarding onto it. But he will just give it a granola bar if it is. Maybe he'll like Strawberry Yogurt granola bars. But for now he had to get the first.
"There's a train down this way called Trailmon. He's kinda rude and takes food as payment. Me personally, I really like him. Only because he's a nice train once you give him some food." Shortmon took the lead towards the talking train. Jackson followed behind expecting the other two to follow him. Hopefully this wouldn't be that much trouble than what it is suppose to be. Shortmon probably could find some toddler digimon training grounds for them.
"Just hide the good stuff Chef." Jackson rolled his eyes at his digimons statement. Of course he already knew to do that. He wasn't gonna let some train steal his rice rolls for a ride to the digital world.

Trailmon... from the information he got, it's seem every Digimon have -mon ending on them. So, this must mean Trailmon too, is a Digimon. It's not like the 'rude and take food for payment' doesn't give the clue either. Yuuki sighed, remembering his only snack has been chomped clean by this little guy. Dorimon send a curious glance at him.
...honestly, if he stay still and shut up, he's cute.
"...Nah, nothing," he replied, kind of don't want to say that to him or this thing will probably get his ego inflated. Following Jackson from behind, Yuuki steals some glance at the long train Digimon. Honestly, tossed to alien world like this... what the heck should he do? Has his peaceful days ended and in its place stands days with Dorimon?
...As much as he hates it, something inside his heart cannot fully rejects Dorimon. Without him noticing, his hand instinctively stroked the four footed Digimon's purple fur.

When Jackson stepped in front of the Trailmon, the first thing he noticed was he was asleep. The giant train always complained about a schedule he had to keep, and then he gets caught red handed by a human.
"Trailmon, want some food?" Shortmon knew that he would perk right up if anyone mentioned food. Jackson quickly removed three granola bars from his bag and waved them near the trains mouth. Jackson found it odd to be doing this. Mostly because all the trains he had been on didn't have a mouth the size of a water buffalo.
"TRAILMON AT YOUR SERVICE!" The train belted out, and becoming much more lively. When it saw the food, the digimon slithered its tongue out off of its mouth and wrapped it around the snacks. It didn't seem to care about the wrapper around it, but most digimon didn't seem to mind it.
"Just let me know when you're ready and to the digital world you go!" Shortmon looked at the train for a second with a look of disapproval. The digimon didn't seem to like the trains somewhat obnoxious behavior.

So this train will transport you only if you feed him... This gonna be pretty troublesome if I want to go to Digital World. Kuzu-nee won't be happy if I grab more snacks than normal... Like this, maybe I'll need to do part time job. Maybe at Karin's.... this is troublesome.
"Why the long face, Yuuki? Still unhappy about Digital World?" Dorimon asked.
"...No, mentally counting the fare per go, although I'm bad at it," Yuuki replied.
"Fare? What's that? Can you eat it?"
"...In his case, he can." Yuuki pointed his thumb at the train Digimon. "Food is his fare, but not all fare is food. Fare is something you pay to ride something. That's called fare. Not all rides need you to pay, for example, rides that you owned. But most need you to pay."
The purple creature seem understand well enough about this and looks kind of satisfied.
"So we have to get inside this guy now?" Yuuki asked

"I would assume that this is the case," Hans replied to Yuuki's question. He had followed Leanan's strange sense of direction and had entered a terminal that he had never seen before. But since the 'digimon', as she called herself, claimed that this train would get her home he had followed diligently.
The yellow digimon in question looked pleased at their arrival and slithered out of Hans' backpack. She flopped into his arms ungracefully; covering his jacket in slime. Oh the look on his face! "In the future, please don't do this," the boy told her, mentally debating whether or not dropping her would be considered animal cruelty.

Jackson turned to face Yuuki to answer his question, but closed his mouth and looked at the new guy, assuming he had followed them. Shortmon glared at the digimon in his arms, looking like he was trying to read it's mind. The cake digimon obviously couldn't, but still wasn't sure why they followed them.
"Why did you follow us?" The general was annoyed. He wasn't a fan of stalkers, especially if he had no clue of their intentions. Hopefully this guy wouldn't try to attack them. One that wouldn't be smart on his part, and two Shortmon wanted to go a day without a fight. But that was a hard thing to do in this world. If you want to survive, sometimes you'll have to fight for survival.
"Are you guys gonna get on or not?" Asked the agitated Trailmon. It could care less how many people got on, as long as they have him his payment, he would be fine. But waking him up on his break wasn't that great of an idea. Jackson just showed him a finger to hold on while they talked.

Another guy? Looks like it's true that we're some kind of Digimon magnet once we already got our partner... That guy with Shortmon aren't lying... Maybe it's a good pick to really go to the Digital World either way... Is this guy a friend or a foe? Dorimon seem ready to attack anytime.
Dorimon let out a threatening growl, but Yuuki put his hand in front of him, ordering him to wait a moment. They're yet sure that the guy in front of them friend or foe. Attacking needlessly would make it worse... to gain enemy right off the bat, well he doesn't want that. Plus, he doesn't see any other Trailmon, so high chance they'll have to share one Trailmon.
More or less it's a hard position, huh? While I can't trust this person, I also cannot outright bat him off because we don't know how much is the extent of his power.
Yuuki sighed and subtly points his Digivice at the slime Digimon.
Zurumon, a Fresh Digimon. Type, Slime, Attribute, None. A poisonous Digimon, moves by dragging its body. When threatened, it attacks with poisonous bubble breath. Hmmm... this is kind of bad somehow. Compared to Dorimon...
Yuuki pointed his D-3 at Dorimon this time.
Dorimon, an In-Training Digimon, evolution of Dodomon. Type, Lesser, Family: Nature Spirits... Huh? What's family? Hmmm, Dorimon is one level above it. Dorimon can run straight fast, but cannot change direction when running at high speed. Their thick fur provides more defense. It attacks with bigger metal ball than Dodomon. ...Well, I wonder what wound that guy do?
Just like that, Yuuki waited for the answer.

"Well, are we going to get on or stand here and stare at each other?" The boy asked. Of course he could understand if they had suspicions of him appearing out of nowhere but did they think that they were the only ones that used the terminal? If what Leanan had said about there being many Digimon was true than that couldn't be the case. Then again he wouldn't put lying past the shifty being.
Zurumon made a noise akin to a snicker though not quite as sincere sounding. She wouldn't lower herself to human standards; they didn't deserve a second thought. The moment that they arrived at the digital world she would ditch the Tamer anyway and the rest of them with him.
Hans sighed before placing his relatively new companion on the ground. "I'm not going to attack you or anything, I doubt that this one," he pointed at the Digimon who tried to look innocent and failed horribly, "would listen to me anyway."

"You didn't answer my question." It seemed odd to him that he found his way to the Trailmon if he was a new tamer. Maybe the digimon talked about going to the digital world and overhead his conversation with Yuuki? Whatever the reason was, he didn't exactly like the feeling the tamer, and especially the digimon, gave him. When he looked at the digimon, he felt like he was plotting some type of world domination plan.
"Hold on, we're talking." Shortmon said as he walked over to the Trailmon. He used the complaining digimon to get out of the awkwardness of the humane. Jackson couldn't blame him. He wasn't a fan of awkward or uncomfortable situations, but he could get through them easily. Shortmon on the other hand, seemed like he just wanted to avoid them.
