Catching a late night plane to Japan was lengthy. Exhausted by TSA, Rudolf overlooked formalities and prepared himself for a long journey. By the next day Rudolf arrived in Tokyo on a Sunday. The sun was bright, and rising over the low level surface water was a brilliant sight. The bright orange morning sunlight radiated along his body, and Rudi proudly took in the sights. Standing with his backpack Rudolf admired the scene as he stepped out of the plane. Wearing his usual black jacket and scarf, the young man was ready to explore Japan.
Before he would be free to travel, he had to settle into his rented condo. Having appropriated it as a home for his visit, Rudi was eager to get acquainted with life abroad once more. Familiar with Japanese he made his way to a shuttle car that drove him to the train station. Once he arrived in Shibuya by train he would walk to his nearby temporary home just blocks away from the train station.
As if his home life of work, and nothing else, was erased; Rudi stared open mouthed from the car as he admired the Japanese architecture of modern Japan. Tall skyscrapers were an uncommon sight in Detroit, and the manufacturing of Japan was far superior to the tin cans Rudi lived in while a resident of China as a youth.
After a short drive he made it to the train station. Well kept and shiny, Rudolf easily made his way to the ticket gate by reading Japanese signs for direction. Promptly purchasing a ticket for Shibuya district he fortunately secures his ride. One of the first to get into his seat, Rudolf drifted off into sleep while he waited for his final departure from the Tokyo inner city station. While he dreamt in his train seat his dreams were filled with a fantastic Japanese Yokai horde and featured himself as the hero in scarlet armor. Blasting fire at the impish foes, Rudolf dreamed himself as a heroic warrior of fire. Waking up confuse by a sudden rail shift beneath him, he purchased a coffee from the train service attendant, and groggily woke himself up by way of comfort. The ride wouldnt be much longer, and he wanted to be bright eyed and bushy tailed.
Not literally, but that would soon be out of his own control.
Upon arriving in Shibuya the railcar mysteriously began releasing a flashing red warning light. Intermittently a klaxon rang, signaling an emergency. According to the conductor, the railroads mainframe was hacked and they were scheduled to miss their next stop. Curiously the conductor laughed, and Rudolf got a little suspicious what kind of crime was afoot. The entire aire of the train was shifting as people mysteriously remained silent while the alarms went off.
Looking outside Rudolf was blinded by the sunlight, and noticed an unusually soggy atmosphere of black smoke surrounding the train. Meanwhile Rudolfus' tablet turned on and let loose a high pitched ringing. Grabbing it from inside his backpack to check for any hacking aigns a light green screen was displayed on the crystal lense. The vivid graphics appear almost like the color of grass and Rudolf became momentarily transfixed in comprehending the mysteries at hand. Suddenly a monster by the name of Dracmon picked up what appeared to be a camera streaming into Rudis tablet. The Digimon laughed menacingly, much like the conductor had. Rudolf was startled but kept watching. Everything was moving so fast and as he looks closer he sees Digital Text in English below the video that reads, "Follow the light, and beware of the smoke." Rudi scoffs, assuming he was hacked too and shakes his tablet as if he could shake away the hackers video; and uncoincidently the tablet begins vibrating in reaction. The video cuts off and is replaced by a red screen. In golden lettering the sigil inscription of the Divine Spirit of Fire circles a Heart Crest. The creat begins to rotate rapidly, and Rudolf begins feeling hot as he watched. Suddenly the image of Flamon X is transposed of the crest, and a Digivice appears on screen.
"Accept your destiny, Flamon X." A noble voice states through the tablets speaker, and Rudolf curiously taps the Digivice on screen. A fractal pattern ribbons the screen, and the flashing alarm is mysterious turned off.
Confused by his tablets behavior Rudolf looks up at the window to check where the train is, and abruptly there is a sudden reality shift. Inside of his coat pocket a heavy weight is mysteriously added, and the warm body feeling he was enduring fades away. The conductor begins laughing again, this time more menacingly; and the vibration of his tablet gets sturdier as if gears were shaking loose inside. Suddenly Rudolf feels a tight pull from his navel to his heart where the Digivice manifested, and the laughing stops.
The green screens former grass like imagery is now a texture beneath his feet now, and his mental clarity is fogged by unknown confusion. After a few second he comes to and realizes he is standing in a dark, smoke filled forest. There is no train, and Dudolf cannot find a path where he would have walked from. Feeling scared, he cries out for help. Birds in the distance caw at him, and fly up into the air like a giant flock would. The birds fly over him, flying fast away from the direction he faced.
Still unknown to him Rudolf has been pulled into the Digital World, nearby the Village of Beginings. Suddenly weakened by the transportation, Rudolf falls to his knees. His entire being vibrates as the Fractal Code of Flamon X assimilates with his still forming digital body. Had his eyes been open he would have seen his furry skin blowing in the wind; however in his close eyed p Rudolf sees fractal code arranging itself. This code manifests as a Digital Interface for his Digimon body; and the Digital Interface serves as a HUD for his navigation and record keeping. As the fractal code amalgamizes with his human mind he is flooded with the Digital Ancestry of Appolomon X, a Noble God of the Sun and Savior of Fire Digimon. Suddenly his knowledge base is expanded with Digimon basics, and the new Spirit Wielder stands up in his Sprite Form.
With thick brown fur Rudolf barely recognizes his own hands. Nails half an inch long, and thicker than imaginable protrude from his hands. As he looks further he sees bracelets around his bare feet and hands, and white tattoos emblazoned around his torso. The baggy pants he was suddenly wearing were particularly comfortable, and Rudolf check the pockets when suddenly a booming voice echoed inside of his mind. The shock wasnt painful, however it completely drew his attention from whatever he was thinking about.
Suddenly Appolomon X speaks in his ear, "Our souls have returned to where the Divine Spirit of Fire was created. I will guide you in the ways of this Digital Era." Rudi can both hear and read the voice like an inner monologue, identifying this narrator as Apollomon X. Looking further he sees the words, Digi-Journal above the prompt where Appolomons words were recorded. Curiously he kept inspecting his new vision, and began to notice that things were much stranger than they seemed. Besides functional investigation of past journal entries by Appolomon X, Rudi realizes he also has a quest log. There is one entry marked, titled "Solar Shamanism."
Curious what the quest might be, and where it came from; Rudolf looked up to the sky for answers. Birds were still chirping loudly, and in the distance Rudolf could hear "pew pew." He wondered who was shooting a gun and stepped forward to investigate. His entire body painfully compressed, acclimating to the gravity of the Digital World and his new bodys homeostatic qualities. Rudolf coughed and held his stomach again. Eyes closed he embraced the pain, hoping it would be over soon.
Looking inside of his eyelids Rudi notices another neon configurement in his peripheral. Inside of his mind is a Digi-Compass, with himself as a blinking dot in the center. This Digi-Compass was aligned to the direction his head faced in, and with his head down Rudolf got suddenly very confused. He stood back up and noted that he was facing North. Outside and directed to the northeast is a blinking red arrow, marked with a sun crest. The arrow indicates the location of Appolomon X's Fractal Memories, according to the mysterious Digi-Journal prompt that Rudolf read as he inspected the Compass. This notable feature on the compass was linked to his Quest log according to the "Solar Shaminism" Quest details.
Quickly scanning through the user friendly journal and accessing a limited number of Appolomon entries, Rudi became somewhat familiar with his quest. According to his Spirit Guides most recent Digi-Journal entry the DigiDestined must assemble the Divine Fire Human-Totem to access his spiritual ancestry as a Solar Shaman. Rudolf was very confused, and suddenly passed out from the fatigue of his evolution. Reverting back to his human form, Rudolf laid in the grass for an hour.
After waking up, Rudolf noticed he had his backpack with him. Curiously all of his belongings had been replaced by a tent and water bottle. Only his tablet remained, now inscribed as a DigiSpirit D-Terminal. Frustrated, Rudi sat on a stump and assessed his situation with all known facts. Unable to access the Digital Interface of his Flamon X form, he opened up his D-Terminal to write a Word document. Upon rebooting the device he recalled it's strange behavior, and noted that it was operating completely different. The interface had been completely altered, and rather than English text it was written in DigiScript. Profoundly Rudolf was able to read and write with it, and he assembled the following factual bullet points.
