Since Baba had activates his next Quest, Rudolf was tirelessly figuring out a way to get around the Digitak World through Teleportation. He wasnt able to find any solid one for one methods besides public venues, but that didnt stop him from trying. After working day and night for weeksFlamon X was finally standing with his hands proudly on his hips. Before him was the exact coordinates of the village Baba had told him to go to. According to her this village of which name Rudolf had forgotten, was intrinsically linked into Apollomon ascending the desi gn of his Sprite Totem. This very village, which didnt look like a village, was where he became the almighty Agunimon. According to Baba, he also met his greatest ally here too. MagnaVeedramon was the ancestor of this village, and a mentor in Apollomons training to become a Warrior of Sol Ymir.
Rudolf still was unsure what defined a village, and the odd arena battleground theme didnt quite match up with what he envisioned. By all accounts this place was an arena and not a Dragon Shaman Village. However he used his Digi-AI to coordinate the teleportation from Shibura River, so Rudi was confident he was where he expected himself to be. Exactly dead on he expected Kanna the AI to be, he knew in his heart this was the place. He was sure of it, however when a one eyed Gomamom answered his call, Rudolf wasnt so sure. The host welcomed Rudi to the arena, and it didnt take long staring at the gruesome battleground inside the gates to admit he had been off some where in his mathematics. Prompting Kanna to coordinate his next Warp, Rudolf would have to wait 3 whole days. In accordance with his usual bad luck the Digivice had to conduct a software update according to the legal standings of this area. The Arena was a commonly disputed land, and Digital Authoritiea had to inspect his Digivice before he could leave the server.
With few choices in ways to entertain himself, Rudolf entered a tournament. This season the Arena was advertising and training for the deadly Metal Element Digimon that recently were hatching from eggs in the very town Rudolf had gotten these coordinates from. Overlooking his blunder Rudi focused on the Arena matches ahead of him. Rudolf would be fighting some sort of metallic adversary for his first match, like all other combatants. This meant the chances were good a Cyborg Digimon would be in the match ups. If he won every match he would be champion by the fourth fight. Rudolf eagerly signed up, a fond patron of the martial arts. His stay in the Digital World would be a daylonger, but Rudi didnt care. After all besides the experience, he would get a healthy Bit purae in return for his dazzling display. While he had one day to prepare, Rudi would be at a disadvantage than other combatants who had trained for eight months. But he pounded away at the speed bags of Dinohumons gym anyways. Rudi was feeling good the day of his first fights.
Fortunately there were a series of Power Classes and all of Rudi's opponents were slated to be Rookie or Sprite Digimon. Well, to his surprise there were no Spirit Wielding combatants. Instead all of his enemies would be feral Digimon from the wild lands of the surrounding Spartan Training Grounds. Rudolf wasnt phased, having confidence after his display against the Goblimon on his arrival to the Digital World. Rudolf was given no information on his first opponent beside their Elemental Affinity of Fire, but he had a plan anyways.
Standing in his corner, Rudolf was Digivolved as Flamon X. Waiting for his opponent to be revealed, he was crouched on allxfours. Despite his furry appearance and soft tail, Rudolf resembled a ground bound dragon. Snarling he gripped the ground ready to lunge forward. Thinking to himself, "This will be fun. Ai!" Rudi nodded as the ref commanded him forward. He moved to the ref in the middle with three long jumps. The contender was about to be revealed. Ready to summon his magical fires Rudolf could barely contain himself. He was eager to fight and learn more about his Digimon Hybrid Form.

The Referee gathered the two together. Standing face to face, Rudolf was about two feet taller than his opponent. He didnt have time to size up the ShadowToyAgumon however. Rudolf had to pay attention to the rules if the match. This battle would be no joke, and he would be testing his real skills outside if random encounters with brutes. This enemy was a dangerous, skilled combatant. Rudi was channeling all of his inner will to pay attention to the rules.
The referee was named Roshi-Man, and was a Etemon with a cowboy handlebar mustache. He used his microphone to proudly detail each rule. With a nasally voice, the mustachioed Ape Digimon stated each rule.
"2 rounds, no ties. You remember this next part now. First no killing. If I say stop, stop. Abilities that attack DigiCores, or fractal code is forbidden. No dismembering, keep it clean. Stay in the circle. If you go out, you lose. Remember the winner gets into the next round, and 300 Bits. Thia match is dedicated to showcasing the Metal Empires influence in this area right now. Bow, shake hands. Leta get it on!" Roshi-Man was screaming to the crowd now.
Rudolf was back at the edge of the circle again. Listening to the referees detail of his opponent Rudi was able to configure his first strategy. Gabe was a ShadowToyAgumon, who was raised in this very battleground. No older than ten years old he was a prodigal long range fighter. Rudi scanned him, noting all the weaknesses of his physical form. ShadowToyAgumon wasnt the most nimble, that was obvious. According to Kanna however, Gabes Bit Breath was to be feared. Rudolf noted however Gabe didn't give off any sort of aura or threatening hints. So he prepared to take the fore front of the battle.
As the first round Began Rudi used his superior speed and agility to take 60 percent of the battkenfiekd. Running forward with hisnmagickal flames swirling ariundnhisnoakms, the Flamon X fired two spheres of rotating blazes at his enemy. Throwing both hands up Gabe blocked it with his tiny black Lego-like arms, but remained near the edge of the circle. Thinking fast Rudolf dashed forward and plunged the young Digimonacross the boundaries with a strong heel kick to the face. The battle was over almost instantly, but there was a clear and decisive winner. Rudolf, the Divine Soirit of Fire won this preliminary round. The crowd cheered faithfully for him, and Rudi was congratulated by all accounts.
Victorious in combat Rudolf walked away a hero. And all the more richer.for the life of him he couldnt understand why Gabe was so soft footed, but he just figured the inferior toy shaped feet were no good for balance. After recieving his Bit Purse from the referee Rudolf was given thirty minutes to prepare himself for the next match. A match that would be much, much more difficult for the Sprite Totem Digimon. While Rudi prepared for his next fight he returned to his human form and jumped of a rope for twenty minutes. Then he resumed his Digivolved state, and headed back to the Circle Arena for his first round exhibition match.

Mostly Rudolf wasn't particularly experienced as a fighter. In high school he excelled in martial arts, practicing an Aikido inspired form of Tae Kwon Do. Chun Do Kwan was a respectable martial arts, and Rudi was in good shape because of it. With two red stripes as a black belt he was also recognized as an experienced fighter with weapons.
Fighter was a striong word. Spar-er was a better way to put it. In life he had never actually fought anyone, the young man was simply far too kind for aggressiveness like that. He did have the know how of course.
Ever since his first Digivolution the concept of fighting had greatly changed. In his first day he single handedly whupped a Goblimon. Of course he was reved up on the stimulation of a fresh form. In that fight be acted purely instinctually. The data he aquired through his D-Tector, from his Spirit Guide, mostly operated his body at that point. In fact in his last arena match he mostly depended on the same thing.
Anxious of this primal instinct, Rudolf went into his next fight hoping to rectify this. Apollomons style was different than Rudi's. Perhaps it was because Apollomon was in fact a Digimon, or maybe that his species was actually different from the one Rudolf inherited; it didnt matter however. Rudolf resolved to be in control of his body in this next fight. Something vital to victory, since his opponent would be so much faster than him.
Eye to eye with his newest rival, Flamon X looked down on the chunk Falcomon he would fight. The referee gave the same speech, and Rudi had the time to prepare. Quickly scanning Rudolf noted all of Falcomons known battle style. Rudi was expecting long range, and as he stepped back to begin the fight he was smirking. His plan was sure proof.
The only thing he didnt account for was that his opponent would be so much faster than himself. Flamon X held his fists up, Rudolf struggling to maintain his composure in the excitement of battle. The referee whistled and the match begin.
Wwith blinding speed the Falcomon started the arena, his wings spread wide for a clothesline. Rudolf had almost no time to react, and ate a steel hard wing with his chest. Diving backwards Rudi remebered the out of bounds, and spun. While he spun and flipped Rudolf was soon to be face to face with Falcomon. Instincts told him to use a Fire Fist, but Rudi followed his own will. Extending his heel out he sent a side quick right into the break of Falcomon. The avian fell to his knees, and Rudi quickly flanked him. Trying to get away from the boundary line was easy with his opponent still struggling to stand. Rudi didn't give them the chance.
Swinging his hip Rudolf kicked his back leg off the ground. He flew forward with the his flaming fist aimed at the back of Falcomons head. The Superman Punch landed, and the Falcomon went spinning. Rudi was winning, so he went in for the final strike. Flying into the air with a great jump Rudi prepared a large wave of fire above his head. As he fell down to the ground, the fire above followed. Rudolf guided it with his hands, the burning passion of his magic warming his heart as he struck his rival.
The miniature tidal wave of fire consumed hisnopponent and Rudolf landed gracefully on his paws. His tail swishes and by a wave of his hand the fire dissolved into the air. Falcomon was knocked out, and Rudi won the match. The referee screamed for victory of the Flamon X, and raised Rudi's furry arm into the air. The crowd went absolutely nuts for Rudi, and he couldnt help but wonder if he had become a fan favorite yet.
Truly involved with the sport now, Rudolf decided he would stick around after his match. Now standing in the crowd Rudolf was in his human form. He drank from a bottle of water and watched the next tourney match. This time it would be Renamon versus Gotsumon. Rudi was thrilled to have a chance to scope his next opponent out. The crowd seemed to favor the Metal Empire Gotsumon.
The next match was about to begin, and Rudolf was about to meet someone who would grow near and dear to his heart.

Both participants were in attendance. The referee once again detailed every rule and restriction while Rudolf scanned both of the Digimon. It was clear why Gotsumon was the favorite. This Renamon had a specifically Holy aura, which meant she was probably more built for mystical arts. Meanwhile the Gotsumon was modified by a RAM input. His legs were encased by Digi-Iron, so it was obvious that he probably had strong basic attacks. Rudolf felt like he would be paying the most attention to Gotsumon during the fight, and when it started he felt like he had been right. The rock head kicked the ground with his metal leg and sent a series of iron spikes flying at the Renamon. The fox Digimon didn't seem fazed, and threw a piece of paper forward. Holding her claws out she formed a barrier around the paper. The spikes were stopped by it, and the Gotsumon looked seriously annoyed. Renamon made no haste by charging at the Metal Empire Digimons flank side. Gotsumon didnt know what to do, and it was clear he probably wasnt a trained fighter like this Renamon was. The yellow fox did an actual cartwheel as she approached her enemy. Suddenly at her back side she tucked her paws at her shoulder side. The Gotsumon held his hands by his ears, guarding his face from a punch. Unfortunately for him Renamon used another paper Charm. Throwing shredded up paper into the air, she sent razor sard shards of trans mutated diamonds into the face of her enemy. The Gotsumon was knocked out instantly, and Renamon was declared the victor. The fright didnt last even a minute, and Rudolf saw a serious threats hand being raised. Renamon was confirmed to be his next opponent, and Rudolf had just one hour to prepare himself. As he rushed out of the crowd to his room, he started thinking of a strategy. Renamon was clearly a practiced fighter, and she had some useful magic to boast over. The shield she used was truly ingenious, and Rudi doubted his fire could break through it. He scratched his chin, having Digivolved for more interactive access to his Digital Library HUD. There was less than a half hour left when he had felt like he knew his magic enough to try some more advanced stuff. After all, he knew he would need some real edge to conquer this next opponent. Renamon was no joke. While he waited to be ushered to the arena Rudolf went over his plan. Certain he was more agile, Flamon X had a specific routine he would use against her. Baiting her shield was essential, and he had just the magical spell for it. Rudolf snickered silently as he was told to walk through the hall to the arena. The Digimon Hybrids tail was swishing softly just an inch above the ground, Rudolf was nervous but he was fully aware of the threat. What he wasnt so aware of was his potential, but that would soon be revealed to him. Renamon was fixing to be his hardest battle yet.

The battle started out the same as the last few had. Rudolf had already scanned his opponent, so instead he just made menacing faces. The fox was undisturbed and swishes her tail back and forth. Rudolf was sort of intimidated, and as he walked back to his corner for the start of his match he went over the strategy he had planned for his opponent.
Rudolf was actually the favorite to win according to odds maker, but he wasnt so sure of that. Despite his instincts being a good cover for him to plan strategynduring battle, he was not exactly a fighter by trade. The fox had demonstrated superior agility so the DigiDestined knew he would have to find another edge. Kicks and punches would be tough to get through the slick opponentsdefense, not to mention her shield ability. Rudi had his hands full, but after recapping the Digi-HUD's library on Solar Magic he felt like he could put together a great fire magick that would topple this Renamons defense.
Uunbeknownst to Rudolf his opponent was a DigiDestined too. Disguised as a Digimon the Spirit Totem of Karmea was being wielded by Dia Vulpa. Also from Shibuya she had entered the tournament to test her skills. The girl had only just started learning about Digimon, and this was a test for her. She had a plan too, having long since scoped out Rudolf as a threat. She knew his close quarter combat was his comfort zone, so she planned to exhaust him before making a winning move. The Renamon Spirit Wielder had no idea that Rudolf was also exceptionally endowed with the prowess of a Solar Shaman.
When the battle begun no one made a move. It seemed both participants were planning a counter offense, so who made the first move would be vital to the match. Rudolf was prepared to last a round so he would find some technical openings to unleash his newest fire magick. The Demon Digimon was smirking as he lifted his two palms forward. Kriginay he thought this move would best be saved for later. Someone had to engage however, so he took the initiative.
Abroad his outstretched palms a fire sparked. At first just ignition sparks that lit up the space between his fingers, a second spark filled the air space in his hands with two spheres of rotating fire streams. The blazes wicked around his arm, keeping his fur intact. The orange fur covering his hands was blown away by wind vectors created by the intense heat, and with a good eye Dia could see that his flesh was actually scaled.
Both hands forward Flamon X faced his opponent and released the fireballs in a fiery explosion. They shot forward, and Renamon reacted accordingly by dodging the first move of the match with a high jump into the air. Rudolf had actually expected this, and he raised both hands upward where the fire balls followed the same trajectory. Helpless in the air Renamon was facing a a quick fiery end to this battle.
