And so, after ten hours of traveling, Hans is finally in Shibuya where his life might change once again. The only thing he didn't get is why master Hatsumi lives here, but not in Iga or Koga. Because it would be handy for the master and those who are willing to learn the art. Because historically, Ninjutsu (or Ninpo for short) origins come from those villages. But perhaps here lives Hatsumi's parents or even kids, then it would make sense. Still, Walzman has to admit, he hadn't been so tense since the first days of his military service. At the same time, Hans was excited, as he now will learn a lot about the Land of Rising Sun. But even then he was much relaxed than today because at least he was in the country he knew well. And here he feels like it's the first day he was born as almost everything here is different from what he read or seen on the Internet. Luckily, he got enough funds to stay in Japan long enough to learn its culture and receive the Ninpo training. However, fate had different plans for him.
The nearest four-star hotel wasn't far from Shibuya's train terminal, and fortunately, Hans' level of Japanese was roughly enough to rent a room (but his name was still recorded as Guns). Which appeared pretty cozy, only a bit lower in height, which was pretty expecting. He could rent a room in a three-star hotel, but he wasn't sure because of his language knowledge. Regardless of that, the guy was already sitting on the couch thirty minutes later after all hotel formalities. This is when the Swiss decided to plan his next steps. It should be contacting Hatsumi's school for training and financial analysis of his funds in the morning. But since it was late evening, there would be too few, if not any places which he could visit. It was Sunday, after all. Furthermore, Hans was too tired to do any brain activities, so the only thing he wanted right now is to eat something, take a shower, and fall asleep. He was perfectly aware of the restaurant on the ground floor, but since his room is on the fifth, Hans decided to make an order right to his room. So after some language practice again, supper was served with a little surprise.
A hotel worker arrived twenty minutes later, bringing a food cart right into his room, which was covered by a tablecloth. It was fine as Hans' order was huge, so lower shelves needed to be adorned. And after more formalities were finished, Walzman decided to start his meal. But before that, he wanted to check what was under the cloth and that's what made him freeze in place - there was a weird egg (a digitama, actually). It was as huge as an ostrich egg, yet it was painted like an Easter one. If it would be a country like Iran, Hans would assume it's a bomb, and right now he should run for his life. But he didn't know anything like that has ever happened in Japan, so the egg wasn't an explosive. There was only one way to figure out what's is the thing and he just hoped, that nothing bad would happen. His bank account isn't big enough to pay bills for broken furniture or even his bones. And so he slowly touched the egg. That was the second time for this day when Hans was tensed. Then, a miracle happened.
A flash of light occurred, blinding the guy for a bit. He pulled back instinctively, closing his eyes at the same time. And when he has opened them, a weird creature was standing in front of the cart. It was small and looked like a fox with a ball inside it. Weeknd could swear, that he never saw such a fox species before. Of course, Hans knew about the Japanese fox island (or was it a village?), but it's too far from Shibuya. In this case, what's is that fox? There was also a strange model of a smartphone. But Walzman didn't order any electronics yet (even though he had such intentions). And before Hans could take any action, the creature spoke.
"You must be my new partner. I'm Pokomon, a Digital Monster. Or Digimon, for short. Let's work together! We got so much things to do.". The little vixen said, starting to look around. Then the food cart has come to the Digimon's attention. "Can I eat some? I'm a bit hungry. And by the way, what's your name?"
Hans only nodded as he had no idea what to say as he was overwhelmed with emotions. Fear, curiosity, and the sheer amount of adrenaline mixed all together, making his heart pounding like never before. Pokomon said it's a Digital Monster, but it didn't make any sense for the guy. He knew about an old toy, called Tamagochi, but that one had gone from all markets long ago. Did the Japanese manage to find a way to transform data into a living being? Walzman was aware of 3D printers, large enough to build a house. But a sentient creature? That's beyond his understanding, at least now. Perhaps, if he discovers more about the vixen, he might get the understanding. By the time he resolved to do so, the Swiss' will started to kicking in, making him able to speak. The funny part of the moment is that vixen spoken on English.
"I'm Hans. How did you find me? And what are those things we need to do?". The guy asked gingerly, picking the device, that come along with Pokomon who was greedy consuming Hans' meal. However, before the vixen could answer, the room had gone into darkness for a bit. He assumed it's a power outage, but it was far away from being true. Walzman wanted to check out what's happened and once he made a step, he and his new partner fell into a portal, connected to the Digital World. This is how Hans' journey has started.
