The Calling Card (Grandmaster)

Wait, what? Weston's in there with you? Psych asked, sounding absolutely confused. He looked back and forth between the jar of bizarre liquid and the door he had just entered, trying to piece it together. Could those caged Digimon and this substance have some sort of link? I do not even know what this is...
Stacy had followed Speed into the room where they locked up all the Digimon. The way she felt and reacted towards this event was understandable. Digimon were living creatures, not meant to just be locked up in some cell. Of course she'd want to use her abilities to free them. Unfortunately, it was that very moment that could potentially doom the whole group. The moment Stacy's "Sacred Slash" attack collided with the cells, a powerful electric shock would strike her, with enough force to push her back against the opposite wall. Then the alarm started, with flashing red lights blaring at the same time.
"You guys just triggered some sort of alarm!" Johan said in a panicked voice. "What did you do?!"
"We found a bunch of Digimon in cages, and Stacy tried to free them," Speed quickly responded.
"Well thanks to Zack's investigation we know that at least thirty armed guards are on their way to your location now," Dokamon said.
"Oh you have gotta be kidding me!"
"I'm so close to getting the information we need from their database," Zero said, "You guys gotta do whatever you can to stall for time! We might not get another chance down here!"
"Got it! But Weston, what about-"
"Forget about me. I was foolish enough to get caught in the first place, and these cells cannot be broken. Just run, save yourselves, you can't save us."
"You don't know that! Stacy, we gotta try and open these cells somehow! Is there like a button or something?!"
"As far as I know, only the guards have keycards capable of opening our cells."
"Then I guess we gotta beat some guards up. Thirty against five, I like these odds."
Meanwhile Zack and Marigold would see Psych fly into the intersection from the other hallway, using his telekinesis to move any and every piece of furniture in front of the four elevators in order to create a blockade. An elevator for each floor of the disguised building... Unfortunately the doors had opened, and loud pounding could be heard from behind each elevator. This is not going to hold for long! Brace yourselves, everyone! Zack, you might need to fall back when they arrive. Try to find some way to free the Digimon!

Blitzwolfmon winced as electricity was shooting through her body before she was flung into the wall. As the alarms began going off she pushed herself to her feet grateful she was a digimon or she likely wouldn't of survived striking the bars. "Ow. Okay that was dumb." she said now in a more rational state of mind. It was at that point she was hearing the alarms since hitting the wall dazed her. "Okay not only dumb but I only succeeded in setting off an alarm. Just great."
Approaching Speed and Weston Blitzwolfmon said "Sorry about potentially making a huge mess of things. When I saw both the arena and the imprisoned digimon I just got so mad I just saw red. I was only thinking of freeing everyone." Now more rational she turned her focus to the various wristbands including the one Weston was wearing. Then she looked the Wisemon in the eyes before she asked "Hey now that I'm rational again, what is with all these wristbands?"

Zack and Marigold froze in the intersection, watching Psych throw up the barricades with little more than a twitch of mental muscle and a single physical gesture to guide them. Zack recognized the feeling that was bubbling up inside him, the feeling of being out of his depth, overpowered by a horde that would pound him into applesauce if they got within arms reach. He turned to run, to find some way to help before Marigold reached out, grabbing both of his shoulders and turning him around, hugging him tight.
"Dad...please come home..." She said in a pleading voice that would break the uproar of the rest of the team simply because of how scared and unsure she sounded, clutching her father in that hall like he would fade away into the dust the moment she let him go. He took only a moment's pause before reaching up, wrapping his arms around her, his head in the crook of her neck as he spoke, softly but firmly.
"I promised I would never leave you alone, Marigold. I'd fight through every ring of hell to come home to you." he said, spinning on his heels and intercepting Speed, looking to him, standing in front of him with body language that was as deflated as it was pleading. "Speed. I'm begging you. No matter what stupid fucking thing I said...promise me that if everything goes wrong you'll get her out of here before you even think of going back for me..." he said, swallowing hard. he knew what he was asking for, a promise to let him die in exchange for Marigold, a promise that he had to pray Speed would accept and keep. he didn't wait for an answer, barreling past Speed and shouting at Zero through their mental link. "I hope all that hacking you were doing gave me a lead, Zero! I need to know what to smash!" he shouted, that tone of adventurous aplumb fading back into his tone.
"Fanbeemon Digivolve TO!..." Marigold buzzed beside Psyche and the other assembled fighters, vanishing in a flash of light, her shape balloning out, becoming humanoid, suddenly wreathed in green armor with piercing crimson eyes. "STINGMON!"

"Yeah, that was very dumb," Speed said in response to Stacy as she recovered from that initial blast. "I can't believe that I wasn't the one who did it first."
Stacy asked a good question, why were these Digimon wearing those electronic wrist clamps to begin with? "These... these are of the leader's design. They're Dampeners... they take away a Digimon's power completely. Even if we were to get out, we'd be easily overpowered by the sheer amount of guards here."
"They take away your power? That's... that's horrible. I'mma be sure to give them all a good beating in your place, Weston. No one hurts Digimon and gets away with it on our watch!"
Once Speed got into the receptionist area, he watched as Marigold looked... scared, scared that her father wouldn't return. It warmed Speed's heart to see Zack tell Marigold that he'd come back for her no matter what. It reminded him a lot of what Psych would say to him when they were younger. Then the human had to shatter it all by telling Speed to leave him behind if things got bad, running off without even giving the drake a chance to respond. Speed could feel his blood boiling; how could he lie to her like that?! Speed had half a mind to tell Marigold EXACTLY what he said. But they had bigger problems on their plate.
The elevator blockades were eventually broken, allowing thirty humans dressed in either white or black company uniforms to flood in and face against the five Digimon that faced them. It looked like the heroes could've taken them... if only each human didn't each pull out a silver capsule, with glass holes that showed the similar liquid that they had seen before, and tossed them into the air like Pokeballs. Each capsule opened and revealed fifteen white and fifteen black PawnChessmon staring the group down.
That was thirty rookies against four champions. It would be tough, but it would not be impossible in the slightest... Speed and I shall deal with the majority of them, the rest of you focus on one or two at a time! Psych would tell the others before jumping into the fight.
Meanwhile, Zack asked Zero to give him a lead while he ran down the hallway. "I managed to get a layout of the bunker. There should be an electrical room at the end of the hallway. Just go in there and find the circuit breaker that's connected to the cell room, that should free the Digimon. Look for a switch marked 'Cell Room.' Don't expect the Digimon to help you after that, apparently something is blocking their power. You'll have to search around for another circuit breaker for that. And PLEASE don't risk smashing anything, I'm still trying to collect data here."
Once Zack got there... yup, it looked like an electrical room, all right. It looked similar to the locker room, only instead of lockers it was the base of all power and signal for the entire base. If Zack were to look around longer, there would be a unique looking circuit breaker on the wall, protected by a metal grid casing. The problem was, right next to it was a second circuit breaker that looked the same at the first, with metal grid casing and all as well. One was probably a fake, or was powering a different section entirely.
If Zack were to look closer, he'd find a small label on each of the two breakers, one marked "VD-507" and the other marked "DS-504." Maybe they had to do with the rooms Zack passed by on the way here? He passed the "Testing Rooms," "Computer Labs," "Containment Rooms," "Cages," "Arena," and "Virus Development" in that order on the way to the Electrical Room. If Zack needed help figuring it out, maybe Zero would have the answer soon if the human asked?

Blitzwolfmon, with her sharp hearing, picked up the sound of many footsteps before they came to a stop so that could only mean the guards were only slowed since direct confrontation was illogical with seeing as the group was outnumbered whether they were up against humans or not was irrelevant. "Is there a way we can remove those dampners without unlocking the cages? At least then the digimon here could possibly have some strength to work with." Blitzwolfmon asked. She figured if their powers were restored before they were freed it would at least be some help to them.
When Speed said no one hurts digimon on our watch and gets away with it, Blitzwolfmon smiled before she said "I'm with you on that account Speed. Digimon are people too and despite the differences humans and digimon share they don't deserve to be treated in such a cruel manner."
When Speed dashed into the reception area Blitzwolfmon seemed hesitant to leave Weston and the other digimon in the cages but knew the guards would likely soon be upon the others. Looking back at Weston she said "Sit tight. We'll be back as soon as we can." With that said she dashed after Speed heading for the reception area. Though no where near as fast as Speed she didn't take long to catch up as it seemed the thirty guards, all humans, had made their way to the groups location. This was too easy and Blitzwolfmon's suspicions seemed to be soon confirmed as silver capsules with a familiar looking liquid came into sight before they were tossed like pokeballs revealing thirty rookie digimon being fifteen white and black PawnChessmon respectively. "So that's what the purpose of the liquid was. Guess we are lucky none of us were dumb enough to drink it." she muttered as she got into a fighting stance flexing her golden claws. When Psych rejoined him she smiled at his words before she said "One or two at a time. I think I can handle that. The rest of you be careful though."

"I'M @#$%$ WORKING ON IT STACY!" Zack shouted with the boom of a speaker's reverb into their shared psychic connection, mumbling to himself as he looked over his shoulder back down the hall. "Let's see...504...507...VD is...Virus Development? 7...6...5...4...Gotcha you son of a bitch." He said, a wide, wicked grin spreading from one cheek to the other underneath his helmet. "Alright, guys, give me some space and time to work with and...let's all send up a prayer that I have enough stamina to rock this thing." he murmured, suddenly leaping into a snap spin kick, the hard light heel of his boot driving itself into the metallic grate casing of the breaker. He cursed, feeling it budge for a centimeter before locking into place again, a step back, a turn, a kick, over, and over, and over again, the banging and groaning of the metal radiating down the hall.
"Alright guys, let's show these grunts what happens when the villain doesn't offer health insurance!" She said, trying to tamp down the fear and the terror that was climbing up her spine like a viper made of ice. "Moon Shooter!" She howled, three gleaming silver spikes coming out of each of the launchers on her spiked wrists, targeting one rookie level digimon each while trying to steer her aim clear of her team mates. She positioned herself body blocking the hallway down toward the electrical room, wanting nothing more than to make sure she bought enough time for her "hero" father to "save the day" a sentiment that she believed whole heartedly even if it would have caused even the hardened criminal henchmen to stop and roll their eyes. Even as she waited for her breathing to re-up enough for her to lash out with another real attack she would make a point of body checking any grunt or digi-goon who got too close with the heft of her towering insectoid body, even as she felt the bite of their lances and spiked bucklers against the carapace of her outer exoskeleton, making a sound like metal scraping on concrete.

Both Speed and Psych winced when Zack answered Stacy's question about removing the dampeners. Even Psych's "voice" never got that yelled when he was trying to raise it. The rule of using your inside voice applies to the telepathic link, Zack. Even more so, since it's going straight to our heads. It would take the twins a little bit to recover from that sudden booming voice.
At least Zack was on the right track to success in his attempts to help the group. He had determined the right circuit breaker and now he was in the process of kicking the grating off of it. He would kick it over and over and over again until finally, with one well-placed kick, the metal grating surrounding it would fly right off... making quite a loud sound when it snapped off, and when it landed onto the tiled floor. Oh well, nothing to be worried about, right? Zack just needed a way to turn it off or destroy the breaker itself now.
Back in the main reception area, one thing that would be apparent to the group was how... lifeless these Pawnchessmon were. Most Digimon would fight with passion, but watching them fight Speed and Psych, they didn't show any trace of being actually alive. Not only that, but if any of them were to look closer at the humans' eyes... they weren't normal either. The whites would be a bright pink, and the irises and pupils would be colored a bright neon green... a lot like the color of the liquid they had seen before.
Anyways, now was not the time. While Speed and Psych were fighting, a white and black Pawnchessmon would each face off against Stacy and Marigold. Both the ones facing against Stacy would charge forward with their spears extended outward... but if Stacy was smart and quick enough to get away, the two PawnChessmon would collide with each other and essentially knock each other out. But that was only if Stacy was fast enough to realize this.
Meanwhile, Marigold would go straight for the fighting, sending three glowing silver spikes at three of the PawnChessmon, both the ones that were facing against her and the white one that was charging towards Stacy. The one targeted towards Stacy's white one missed completely due to the fact that it was charging, and it missed the black one facing against Marigold herself, but she did manage to hit the white Pawnchessmon running towards her, the Digimon exploding into data upon contact. The remaining black Pawnchessmon raised ran forward with its spear in front of it, charging to stab Marigold... Marigold uses "Moon Shooter" on PawnChessmon White A, PawnChessmon Black B and PawnChessmon White B. PawnChessmon White B is hit by the attack and deleted.
PawnChessmon Black A and PawnChessmon White A charge after Stacy with "Pawn Penetrate"
PawnChessmon Black B charges after Marigold with "Pawn Penetrate"

Blitzwolfmon was glad that Psych spoke to Zack about using an indoor voice and good thing too since yelling over a telepathic link was far from necessary and it caused her to wince in discomfort. As a human she was never fond of loud noises but as a digimon that dislike was only amplified. She supposed it was a way to balance out the advantages acute hearing gave her but it was no less annoying.
She looked at the lifeless expression of the PawnChessmon and felt bad for them. Obviously their minds were altered by the chemical and weren't in their right minds so she hoped they could be dealt with while dealing minimal casualties. The real enemy was the one responsible for causing the digimon here pain and she was more than eager to have some choice words with this guy but first things first, there were thirty rookies to deal with.
She then watched as a black and white PawnChessmon charged at her and Marigold spears raised. Shaking her head, Blitzwolfmon gracefully pivoted away from the one heading for her and grabbed ahold of the spear the white PawnChessmon had intended to skewer her with and gave it a sharp tug intending to disarm the charging rookie as she said "Now. Now. Surely you know it's rude to be pointing such things at guests little one or I assume you would know that in your normal state." Out of the corner of her eye she was keeping a look out just incase the others got any ideas. Her claws were sinking into the spear threatening to break the weapon completely.

"You'll have to forgive me for being a little stressed right at this second. I'll apologize later for not being the picture of good telepathic etiquette!" He said, still speaking just a tad above the comfortable level for their combined telepathic connection. He looked at the breaker, then at the bent, destroyed metallic grate that had spun to a spot on the floor beside him. "Oh just screw it all." He said, hoisting the grate with both of his gloved hands and just slamming it down against the wires and connections of the open breaker, trying to leave nothing left connected until everything within the container was a sparking, flickering mess of half melted wire and plastic shards.
"Spiking Finish!" She shouted, bashing downward with the spiked gauntlets of her arms, her fists clasped together to try and simply slam downward against the pawn that was charging at her with its spear. She was trying to stay as high above the ground as she could while still being able to reach her opponents, staying just at the edge of the pawn digimon's reach with their spears. The more distance she could put between herself and the bad guys, the more likely they were to thrust wide or simply miss her as she jerked and twitched about in the air on the pushing and shoving of her buzzing insectoid wings.
A loud crashing, clashing sound came from down the hall as Zack continued to go to town on what was left of the breaker. he didn't want to leave a single connection lit up if he could help it, doing as much damage as he was possible able to with his brute force methods.

Just don't scream at us and we'll be all good, Speed replied to Zack via telepathy with more than a hint of snark. He and Psych both knew the kind of stress that Zack was potentially under, but in their minds it did not give him any right to scream into their brains as loudly as he did.
Speaking of Zack, now that the metal grate protecting the circuit breaker was on the ground, all he had to do now was find a way to shut it off. That way, apparently, was using the grate itself to bash the breaker in, making sure nothing was left connected. And it worked! The breaker was now just a sparking mess of broken wires and case pieces, and conversely the Digimon back in the cell area were now noticing that their Dampeners had gone dark.
"Are... are they turned off?" a Betamon inside a cell asked the others.
"I will be the one to test that," Weston said. He began to cast a spell, and just like that a portal to the Digital World appeared in each of the Digimons' cells. "Quickly, use these to escape. I have to help my friends, so do not worry about me. All of you need to get somewhere safe!"
The other captive Digimon cheered and thanked Weston before they each were able to walk through their respective portals, with the portal closing behind them after they walked through. Weston sighed with relief... now that all the captive Digimon were back safely in the Digital World, he had to find his own way out and help out Speed and Psych.
Suddenly, Weston's cell gate opened. Standing in front of the entryway to the cell was a grown woman in an office worker getup, with short dark hair, blue eyes and glasses. In her hand was what looked like one of those canisters that other employees had, but with an injection needle on the end. "You're going to have to forgive me for this, Weston Sparkwood..." Meanwhile in the receptionist area, the battle continued. Stacy gracefully pivoted away from the two PawnChessmon that were charging towards her, even disarming the white one. However, that only meant that the black PawnChessmon stabbed his spear right through the white PawnChessmon, allowing it to explode into data and the white Pawnchessmon to continue fighting Stacy. Neither Pawnchessmon reacted even slightly to this event...
And while that was going on, Marigold jumped up into the air and slammed downward towards the black PawnChessmon that was charging at her. The moment her attack collided, the black PawnChessmon emotionlessly exploded into data, just like the one that was impaled by WhitePawnchessmon.
"It's like these things are mindless zombies," Speed growled as he continued to fight the PawnChessmon. "The hell happened to them all?!"
Look at how the humans observe their Digimon, Psych said. It is as if they are controlling the Digimon like they were a video game character.
"Think of it as like a psychic mind control link," a sudden booming and ominous voice would then be heard. The humans would call their remaining PawnChessmon off, with about ten to fifteen remaining in total. Those without partners would leave via the elevators while those with partners would stand by their boss' side with those Digimon. Said boss would be an... interesting fellow. He looked like if Zack had gone supervillain. He wore a light grey business suit with a light green button-down shirt seen underneath, with black gloves and loafers as well. But the most striking element would be the helmet he was wearing. It was a white helmet, and looked like a cross between the king chess piece and a Super Sentai helmet.
Speed glared right at this anonymous man. "So you must be the Grandmaster..."
"And you would be correct. I would not recommend following your instincts and attacking me right now... needless to say, it would not end well for you all."

Blitzwolfmon had been only trying to restrain the PawnChessmon but her claws had made short work of the rookie's weapon right before the other one impaled the disarmed PawnChessmon the poor thing scattering into data. Due to this Blitzwolfmon was not paying much attention to Zack's loud thoughts anymore over Psych's mind link. At least he was alright so that was one less thing to worry about.
When Speed asked what happened to the digimon attacking them Blitzwolfmon sighed before she said "Obviously these poor souls have been drugged and aren't in control of their own actions, Speed. That's why I was trying to avoid killing them if it wasn't necessary." Everything she had seen from when she stepped off that hidden elevator was making her blood boil but she was determined to keep her cool since she wanted to avoid another incident like when she unintentionally set off the alarms trying to free the imprisoned digimon.
The booming voice that sounded through the area and the humans called back their partners, the ten to fifteen that were left, and made a break for it. As much as she wanted to help the surving PawnChessmon the newcomer was more important at this moment. Judging by Speed's glare Blitzwolfmon wouldn't of blamed him if he attacked but like it or not this Grandmaster had a point. They needed answers.
The ancient digimon known as Blitzwolfmon took a couple steps forward until she stood next to Speed and said "You have a lot of room to talk, pal. What kind of cruel monster are you that you experiment on and brainwash innocent digimon? They are fully sentient beings not tools for ones cruel ends." Blitzwolfmon was now standing with her arms crossed though judging by her facial expression twisted in disgust with the Grandmaster, her new stance was probably keeping her from charging herself.

The sound of scraping metal would brake more than a little bit of the tension as Zack moseyed down the hallways, dragging the grate behind him in one hand, mumbling and cursing to himself though making very sure to close the psychic link as he did so. There were some things coming out of his mouth in frustration that he did not want his daughter to hear, even if she had probably already picked up every curse word in the book. he dropped and grate and stepped into line beside Marigold, cracking his neck.
"Hmm? Did we win? Is this the asshole we have to feed his own shoes?" he said, looking their opponent up and down. "Damn, Dark Riders already? I didn't know I'd become that popular." he said, adjusting his gloves and rolling his wrists, trying to undercut the menace of the boss in front of them. Something was seizing his heart, staring down the man at the center of all of this suffering face to face but he also knew that the best way to get under the skin of a prancing, gloating Doctor Doom type was to act like he didn't impress you at all. "Ooohhh, GRANDMASTER, I get it!" He said, snapping his fingers as the motif of the name clicked into place, not even really keeping his eyes on the villain in front of him.
Marigold was panting, her glimmering crimson eyes glaring down at the Grandmaster. She was much closer to this issue, much raw when it came to people abusing digimon, using them like weak tools to be used up and cast out when they were no longer useful. Her own recent "family" experiences were still fresh in her mind, leaving her vision running more than a little bit red as she simply glared.
"It's my dads way to say this. You have exactly one chance to stand down and face the consequences of your actions..." She said, concurring tonally with Stacy and the Twins as she hunched down in a fighting stance, ready to zip forward on her glimmering gossamer wings at a moment's notice.

"Almost... aaaand... got it!" Zero cheered with a slight sigh as he managed to collect all the information he felt was necessary to their mission. "Alright guys, I got the info that we need. Call of the fighting and... re... treat..." Zero was slowly caught off guard when he saw motion coming from the other side of the door that was left open, combined with the fact that the sounds of fighting just sort of stopped. Highly curious about this, Zero would move his small drone to the receptionist area, and the first thing that caught his attention was the Grandmaster himself.
"Hide the drone, hide the drone!" Johan urged Zero to do. The AppHackmon would not only move the drone to a more covert location, but also started up a stream of what it was recording on Tamernet. Whatever happens next after this point could've easily been viewed by anyone on there at the time, including but not limited to Adrian and Shoutmon, Kaya and Hawkeye, Yuji and Kazuo and the Tachibana twins...
The mood became tense after Grandmaster made his appearance. Zack would show up and join the group late, and immediately begin to mock the villain in various ways. These attempts of getting under Grandmaster's skin failed, as the man simply ignored Zack to a point. Just some superhero wanna be, in his eyes. "I have to hand it to you all, you have succeeded in destroying what is easily my smallest facility," Grandmaster said. Stacy asked what sort of cruel monster did experiments like this on Digimon. Grandmaster chuckled. "My dear, you have it all wrong... the only monsters here are the literal ones made of ones and zeroes right in front of us."
"You're more of a monster than any of us Digimon ever will be," Speed growled.
"Oh, but on the contrary... I know of the true horrors that Digimon can bring to the world. The only reason you do not see what I see..." He would glance at Zack and Marigold. "...is because of an attachment to the ones you call your partner..." Then to Stacy. "Because of your own ability to become a Digimon yourself." Then to Speed and Psych. "Or because you don't yet realize your terrifying potential. Tell me... why do you not think that Digimon have taken over our world yet?"
Because we are limited to Ultimate level here, and not many Digimon have any inclination to do so.
"Even an Ultimate level can squash entire cities and topple governments if given motive," Grandmaster countered, "and quite frankly, I don't feel too keen on waiting until Digimon realize how much power over us they have to act. Like it or not, you all are in the wrong. I'll be the one to save humanity. I truly don't want to hurt you two humans there, honest. Or any human at all." Grandmaster intimidatingly got up close and personal with Speed and Psych. "All I wish to do is to protect my home from the likes... of... you."
"Grandmaster," a feminine voice called out. A young woman in office worker attire would walk down from the right hallway, walking up to Grandmaster and handing him a silver capsule with a form of syringe needle. "It has been done. It's now up to you."
"Ah, wonderful, Akane," Grandmaster said as he took the syringe from the woman's hand, said woman standing next to Grandmaster's side afterwards as he looked over the rest of the group. "One thing is very clear... you will not be able to stop me from saving my planet." He would then flex his hand and inject the syringe into his wrist, where the blood vein was, pushing down the pump. At first, nothing seemed to happen.
"Did you just... poison yourself or something?" Speed asked.
"On the contrary... I feel more alive than ever. In fact, I feel I could fight you all with a new special friend I've just made."
Suddenly an orange sparkling rope would wrap itself around Speed and toss him hard into the wall, making a dent in it as the Speedramon slid down onto the floor, groaning in pain. The source of this orange rope could be seen before it disappeared, as it lead to a familiar face that was not too far away... Weston the Wisemon, only now he had the same attitude of the PawnChessmon before. And his eyes were a glowing neon green, as well...
Weston! Psych "gasped." He glared a death glare right at Grandmaster. What did you DO to him?!
"Oh, you didn't know? 'Weston' here is my new partner... just like all your other little Tamer friends."
Bullshit! Psych angrily retorted as he faced Weston again. I'm sorry Weston, but we are going to have to fight you! Psych would then conjure up a ball of psychic energy and shoot it out at the Wisemon. However, Grandmaster was a quick thinker. He had Weston conjure up a large book, opening it so that the attack entered on one side and shot out through the other right back at Psych. The purple Psychdramon was not expecting this, taking the full blast and being pushed back, slamming into the wall behind them.
Now that everything has been set up... what will Stacy, Zack and Marigold do now? Cooldowns -Reflecting Book (0/4)

At the Grandmaster's statement of my dear Blitzwolfmon snorted in disgust but did little else until Speed's words made her smirk briefly before returning to their angry frown. "I agree with Speed and it isn't because I can digivolve or have digimon friends. Also, Grandmaster, I am far wiser than you think I am. I doubt you are doing what you are doing is to protect this world. The Digital World and Human World are connected much like a conjoined twin and need one another."
When the Grandmaster was asking why the digimon haven't taken over, Blitzwolfmon sighed rolling her eyes at this guy's arrogance though the eye roll wouldn't be visible behind the green lenses in the eye holes of her mask. "If you were truly that observant you would of figured out on your own why digimon haven't invaded. Grandmaster since the answer isn't plain as the nose on your face then let me explain. Digimon, like most humans, simply either want peace or to simply be left alone. I don't know how you figured out I am a spirit wielder and frankly I don't care. I won't let you get away with treating digimon as if they are no more than slaves for your cruel intentions."
Then a woman appeared named Akane and handed the Grandmaster a syringe which he injected into his arm. His words regarding a special friend made Blitzwolfmon uneasy. Her instincts seemed right on the money as an orange sparkling rope wound around Speed and tossed the speedy dragon into the wall leaving a dent behind. "Don't tell me.." she started already having a bad feeling she might recognize the owner of the orange rope. Sure enough Weston from earlier came into sigh exhibiting the same symptoms as the PawnChessmon from before. "Of course it had to be him. Why did my intuition have to be on the money."
When the Grandmaster said Weston was his partner, Blitzwolfmon shook her head before she said "He is not your partner. The chemical not only alters the digimon's mental states making them like zombie slaves but when injected into a human it forces that digimon to obey them. That is why it seems to have little to no negative effect on you or your cronies, isn't it?" Would the Grandmaster or anyone be surprised that she was able to put things together mostly from simple observation alone? Maybe as she was often underestimated. As irritating as it was she was used to it.
When Psych's attack was deflected it seemed just randomly firing attacks wouldn't be helpful. Sensing Weston was an ultimate meant that if moves weren't carefully handled they would get creamed. Unbeknownst to Blitzwolfmon began glowing with an intense holy aura.

"Oh...so you're a super-bigot...well, fighting nazis and other assorted human garbage is a superhero's job." Zack said, punching the palm of his hand, the material of his gloves creaking and shuddering under the impact force. "So let's get one thing clear, she is not my "partner"" He said, pointing to Marigold, the large insectoid digimon's shoulders rising and falling as she remains standing, facing their enemy. "That's my KID. And any attempt to take her from me, any attempt to make her world smaller, to limit her choices...I won't stand for that. So you're going to have to kill me because you'll hurt people like this over my dead body." he said, giving Marigold only an instant look before bolting forward. She buzzed forward as well, jerking her body to one side until she became a blur, trying to shoulder check Weston with one of the spiked armor plates along her shoulder.
Zack did his best acrobatics to get past the Wisemon. This was one fight he was actually able to be in, real and true. he didn't need to skulk around in the background trying to find some way to undermine this bastard. Not when the very real, very human man himself was standing right there acting smug. he had no fear of that confrontation as he leaped into the air, spinning and snapping out a kick that would make a harsh booming sound resound in the air, going directly for a spinning heel kick to the helmeted head of that monologuing tyrant in front of him. If he could keep the grandmaster busy on one front, then it would be harder to control Weston on another, splitting focus, dividing attention, setting him up to make a bad mistake at just the wrong time.
"Hell Squeeze!" Marigold lashed out with her arms, wrapping them around the orange robed digimon, her powerful, spike covered chitin limbs closing in around him and squeezing tightly. not as tightly as she could, she didn't want to break the unwilling digimon in half but more than enough to hold him firm unless he had some kind of way to wriggle out fo her grip. She shunted forward, slamming him face first into one of the solid walls. She was fighting way, way above her weight class in that moment but just like her father, she couldn't care less. She was going to stand up to this bigoted bully for as long as it took in order to wide that smug, self righteous garbage off of his face.
Father and daughter both fought like wildcats, not letting up, pushing forward, pushing hard. Zack's only contribution to make was to whoop this villain's ass before he could do anymore real harm, and that was exactly what he aimed to do!
