For however hectic the battle on the ship had become, it was strangely easy for Omen to keep her focus on the one opponent she had to worry about, that being WaruSeadramon. Black lightning? A part of her thought that looked really -cool- as her body would regain corporeal form, landing a fair bit away from WaruSeadramon as the orbs began to encircle her. To a painful effect.
She couldn't really avoid what she didn't know, after all. And furthermore, she didn't give a shit about this guy's feelings. She quickly made a few gestures with her hands as her mask's singular eye socket glowed once more! Suddenly?
There were two more Omens, and all three of them had the same number of orbs! ...Only one of them actually had the debuff, though, and all three of them were flipping WaruSeadramon off. "Fuck!" "You!" "Dude!" They chanted!
...This was kind of stupid, but that was part of the whole purpose of this totally galaxy-brained power play. They all then took a running start before hurling themselves at WaruSeadramon, and...Two of them would promptly explode the moment they hit the WaruSeadramon! Or anything. They were just throwing themselves, after all.
The Real Omen was not really as smart as her mother was when using this technique, as the real big brain play would be to stay back while the suicide clones went boom. Anyways that's a two post cooldown move, while the three post cooldown/durations get a tick up. I'm lazy. Also Omen felt the pain from that orb debuff!

Exploding clones wasn't something the sea serpent was expecting today, as he would try to ram the clones with his long, sea-serpenty tail. Unfortunately, they exploded, and hurt him a whole bunch. However, WaruSeadramon wasn't someone who just got exploded on without retaliation. Black lightning began to crackle from his injuries as they traveled up the length of the serpent's body and towards his dark horn. Then, they shot out into a bolt of black energy that flew right towards the Fakemon! This seemed like a retaliatory attack that would inflict damage equal to the damage he took last round, which sounds like a real pain to deal with. But WaruSeadramon seemed to be a follower of the "Don't get mad, get even" approach to life. Well, a little more than even, because there was still another sphere of lightning that shot out towards Omen. The second out of three, in fact. That would probably sting a bit.
As Polas and Twintusk continued to engage in their manly stalemate with their axes and hammers and whatnot, things weren't nearly as even for Nanami. Unable to press forward, she settled on grabbing the man's wrist, and biting his hand as hard as she could. The Commander let out a scream of shock and pain as he gripped the little girl's hair and threw her onto the deck, sending the little girl rolling away. And the girl just happened to notice the fight between Omen and WaruSeadramon. In a flash, she said some words I don't feel like coloring right now because the writer's using quick reply mode and sliced what looked to be a piece of cardboard through a slot of her fancy new wrist-mounted Digivice.
A light shot forth from her Digivice and shot forth towards the Fakemon, materializing in her hands as a pair of twin swords reminiscent of a certain Mega-level bee Digimon that, according to the card text "Made her basic attacks lightweight and aerodynamic, making them unmatched in attack speed". Whether that powered her up or not was beyond her, but now since Omen was still relatively new with the whole "having hands" thing, Nanami was worried that Omen didn't know that hands were so useful because you could put stuff in them. Sure, Omen wasn't Nanami's Digimon partner, but Nanami was a Team Player, so everything would work out! So Nanami held up two fingers in a "V" shape, grinned, then suddenly rolled to the side to prevent The Commander from kicking her while she was still down.
Mocha and Cream were still underwater at the moment, which totally wasn't the writer's lazy excuse to write them out of the story for the time being. In fact, the writer would totally write what they're up to, but it was actually the writer's lazy excuse to write them out of the story for the time being.
Meanwhile, Monochromon and Tuskmon were getting thrown around like the ragdolls they were while getting the crap kicked out of them by a higher-level Digimon. Shiroku was trying to come up with a tactical plan, but the two morons kept charging in recklessly like the peons they were. The three rookies continue to shiver in fear. They weren't gonna fight an Ultimate. No way, no how.
- WaruSeadramon takes the damage of Omen's full exploding clones attack, then fires off a shot at Omen with an attack that deals an equal amount to the damage he just took.
- The second of three black orbs tries to blacklectrocute Omen.
- Nanami slashes the "Mach Stinger V" Modify card, targeting Omen, giving her two bee-themed swords that would probably cause a certain Xros General Omen dislikes to run away screaming.
- Other stuff happens. Except not really.

It was turning out that a lot of things that Omen had assumed about WaruSeadramon were turning out to hold more veracity than she had initially imagined, which was something of a double edged sword in terms of how this boded for her. One, yes, the WaruSeadramon had fucking BLACK LIGHTNING, which was absolutely radical for a seabound creature to possess, and two, it also had the ability to retaliate immediately upon sustaining damage.
Which kind of sucked. Jolts of pain surged through Omen as she let out a yelp, the bolt and orb alike dealing considerable damage to her as the Fakemon landed. She looked over towards the others, and saw a stalemate, and...Nanami biting a man on the fucking hand.
Somehow, her 'heart' fluttered at that. Truly, a based move. Extremely powerful. Amazing. She witnessed Nanami swipe a card for...for her? The light shot for her hands, and within a few moments, they were given the boon of...TigerVespamon's blades. "...Just like mom's..." She murmured, before she waved to the rolling Nanami.
As the writer is a bit too tired to really do a battle log right now, this post will end with a description of what will happen. Omen turned to WaruSeadramon, and once more rushed at the serpent, leaping and delivering a flurry of basic slashes that were...fast, and hit with the force of an attack with 0 posts of cooldown.
If they hit.
Snakes can dodge, you know.

Snakes could dodge, but not giant sea serpents floating on the surface of near-frozen water. Especially not from attacks that were described as being fast. WaruSeadramon hissed in pain as he let out a grimace and began to crackle with black electricity once more. For as awesome of an ability as it was, it was apparently the only thing going for him. It began to circle around the length of his lengthy lengths, almost as if it would last for 3 posts and damage anyone who came within melee range.
Then the sea serpent moved to what he could only assume was an advantageous position, using his long body to encircle his quarry. He wouldn't be able to attempt to constrict poor Omen, but it was pretty clear that he was planning to do so. Omen should like, not let that happen, or something. Oh yeah, and the last of the three orbs would make their attack on the poor Fakemon as well.
It looked like Twintusk was gaining the upper hand over Polas in their little power struggle, however. The larger Zudomon that was "totally so much cooler than regular Zudomon and should totally be taken serious, guys!" was using the size difference to press down on white-furred Ultimate, but the Blizzarmon simply grinned as he relaxed his body and let Twintusk nearly fall over, using the large Digimon's size against him. He tensed back up at the last second, swinging out with an axe swipe that gorged into the aquatic beast's chest. Twintusk bellowed in pain and rage as he pulled back, grimacing with a look of surprise which quickly turned to hatred. But then his two hammers began to crackle with electricity and it looked like he was about to pull off a big move.
As for Mocha and Cream... nothing much could be said about their fight, save for a pink-colored Rapidmon rocketing past the water's surface, looking like she had been thrown moreso than flying. Mocha got her bearings, yelled out something along lines of "Goddammned cock-sucking son of a bitch!" And rocketed back down into the cold depths below. Apparently things could be going better for the sisters.
As for Hangyomon and his fight against the chumps... it looked like he had gotten bored of tossing Monochromon and Tuskmon around like ragdolls for the time being. He began to slowly make his way towards the rookies, while they let out what could totally be described as a "manly scream that was by no means high-pitched".
Which was more than enough to get Nanami's attention. After pulling away from The Commander, she fumbled through her cards for a bit. She didn't really have them organized and just bought a whole bunch from a shady Snowflake Village merchant. Cream said they were good though, but she really hadn't had a reason to mess with them. Anyways, she slid a card through them, and then a massive crimson chestplate with a cannon on either side appeared around SnowAgumon. He looked confused for a second, then yelled out "A...Atomic Blaster!!!" Then blasted Hangyomon with a burst of plasma energy. The Ultimate-level was sent flying off the ship and into the waters while the rookies cheered.
Nanami was about to do the same, but forgot she was in the middle of a fight. The Commander grabbed hold of her shoulder, then struck the little girl in the abdomen with his knee. All of the air seemed to rush right out of her and into little wisps that flew out into the cold air as she collapsed onto the deck of the ship.
So all-in-all, not everyone was doing so hot! But surely everything would be alright... right?

Truly, a menacing ability! If only Omen could copy it, but alas, thanks to the fun clause of 'only approved abilities can be copied by moves that do that?' Well, the author did not need to update their library, thank fuck, that's some tedium and a half. Either way, Omen was able to take quick note of the attempt to constrict her that was coming, and a really funny idea struck her...before it nearly went away due to the final orb. Blugh. Okay, she could try luring the serpent into a wild goose chase to try and make him constrict himself, but that was likely dumb. The WaruSeadramon wasn't that stupid, right? It was better to get away from that, jump over and away, she dared think. Not say. A quick cursory look at the many fights going on at once revealed nothing short of chaos, but...where some fights were going great, others were...not so much. Nanami getting keeled over by the Commander prompted a familiar...'snap' in Omen as the little girl hit the ground. She...could've stopped that if she was there... ...If she weren't stuck here... No, she wasn't going to hold back here anymore. She was gonna dispatch this dumb snake as soon as she could so she could show that big piece of shit incel what for! Fakemon actively focused before she raised a fist, hellfire seeming to envelop it in full before she SLAMMED down on the wood of the deck, a pillar of flames consuming the jester as a cacophony of whispers filled the air. They were many voices, speaking in unison. Some familiar, some not. "Haha... How weak you all are. How much of a moron do you have to be as a collective to decide to follow some human who can't even be brave enough to use his own name? 'Commander?' Give me a fucking break...You have to pick on the small to even display dominance. How...sad. Unfortunately, you've made a terrible mistake, because you decided to hurt MY prince."
The pillar of flames darkened, as two orbs seemed to open.
Yet nothing jumped out yet. A trap...? Maybe...?
God, I'm Going To Hate This Fatekeeper is replaced with:
Venom Amp [Passive]: When an enemy takes lingering damage from an ability, that damage is increased by an additional 20% for every additional post that ability has been active. So on the first turn of lingering damage, it would be a 20% increase, the second a 40% total, and the third a 60% increase in damage. This ability won’t work on a lingering damage effect on its 4th turn or longer.
Prior Adaptation is replaced with:
Empty Vessel [Passive]: This Digimon’s basic attacks deal as much damage as a post with no cooldown.
Omen gets the fuck out of whatever that constricting attack was gonna be. She then witnessed Nanami get the wind knocked out of her and decides to throw fear away and stop messing around, before digivolving to Leucrotamon. Unhappy. Prior Sin and Recall are also replaced by Web Winder and Venom Bite. Uh oh. Also I kinda forgot cooldowns but they don't really matter for that form anymore.

And with Omen's arrival on the deck of the ship, most of the fighting had come to a halt. The disturbing presence of the newly-formed Leucrotamon was more than enough reason to stop squabbling for the time being.
"What... what the hell even is that!?" The Commander squealed, pointing a quivering hand towards the flaming pillar with the creepy monster presumably inside. "You know what? I don't care if all of you are disrespecting me anymore! Because you're all going to be killed! So... just keep on making fun of me! It's just gonna make you that much more pathetic when you're all begging me for mercy!" If the Commander's legs hadn't been shaking as he said it, it might have been at least a little intimidating. But his bluster let him continue to face WaruSeadramon. "And what do you think you're doing, letting your opponent slip away like that? Finish the fiery freak off, already! That's an order!"
WaruSeadramon, still crackling with black electricity, stared down at the deck of the ship, almost as if he hadn't even heard the Commander speak.
"Did you hear me, you overgrown eel? I said, I order-"
The commander's voice was cut off by a furious roar from massive sea serpent. His bloodshot eyes shifted around to all the tinier people on the ship. "You... you all seem to be misunderstanding something..." He growled, a black miasma seeping from his mouth. "I've only been accompanying you because it's been fun attacking the unsuspecting sea-farers. I've been humoring your delusions of being a fantastical pirate because it's been suiting my interests, and because I respect the strength of your Digimon partner. But that respect has limits! I am NOT some low-paid Hookmon peon to be ordered around!" WaruSeadramon took a deep breath before blanketing the deck of the ship with the miasma that formed a coat about a foot long. The miasma crackled faintly with electricity, and whoever it touched seemed to cover as well.
An ultimate-level like Omen, Polas, and Twintusk didn't seem to be too affected by it. If it affected them, they'd simply feel a little drained.
Champions like Shiroku or any of the remaining Hookmon would feel a little more tired and lethargic.
But as for everyone else? All of the rookie-levels collapsed, unable to move as the miasma began to slowly drain the life out of them. And the humans? They seemed to fare about as well. The Commander collapsed to his hands and knees, gasping for breath as if he had run ten miles in about the span of two seconds. "T-Twintusk...!" He pleaded, looked over towards the Zudomon with tears running down his eyes. However, the Commander's partner looked over towards his human partner, then back towards his enemy, Polas. It was clear he was hesitating on that end.
"Lady Nana...mi..." A Falcomon suddenly stood up from the miasma, slowly making her way towards a motionless lump where the little girl had been laying. But the birb could only get halfway before she too collapsed.
All the while, the miasma seemed to slowly be trickling back up into the air, towards WaruSeadramon's mouth, and seemed to be healing him somewhat.

The voices laughed! They laugh at such an insinuation! "You? Kill me? ...Wow, you're just...not even worth any effort on my part. You're terrible at this. You actually just. Really suck." Again, the pillar of flames was still going strong, the eyes emoting with each word spoken by Omen... If that was really her beneath it. Of course, the Commander continued to be anything but what his title would imply him to be, as he singlehandedly managed to cause WaruSeadramon to go postal, for lack of any better terms. And... ... Well, that attack? Dropping nearly everyone who wasn't at the levels Twintusk, Polas and Omen were at? ...It was...irritating. All of this seemed so...pointless...Yet she still couldn't...They even got Mu-kun! Come on! "...What was your name again? 'Andie?' You brought this on yourself." Omen snarled, before finally, Leucrotamon leapt forth from the pillar, landing on the deck briefly before she bounded for WaruSeadramon. One of her claws curled and twisted into the shape of a spearhead, as it was engulfed in crackling purple. A product of a horrible, horrible delve into the Tyrant's Labyrinth, and the remnant of a tragedy. And as Omen neared WaruSeadramon? The claw shot--snapped, more like, towards his mouth. As if to give him a mouthful of toxicity.

And as WaruSeadramon drained the life from all of the chumps on the boat, drawing back in all the miasma and recovering quite a bit of his stamina... it all kind of got lost again as a poisonous spear stabbed into his armored skull. And apparently whatever it was made of wasn't enough to protect himself from former-Arachnemon hardened web. Go figure.
But WaruSeadramon was a big motherfucker, and a big ol' poisoned javelin wasn't gonna kill him just yet. Did kinda stick out of him through a cracked helm, though, and it looked like it was leaking, like, poison juice or something. Definitely looked uncomfortable. If someone were to remove it, he might even let you live a post or two longer before he killed everyone in a fit of rage!
Speaking of killing everyone in a fit of rage, WaruSeadramon was getting ready to kill everyone in a fit of rage!
A super condensed sphere of black lightning formed at the tip of his horn, ever growing in size and intensity. But it seemed like it was a move that took a post to charge up. That meant that it would probably break shields, because a charge move that can just be blocked by any nerd with a 2-cd move is a stupid and terrible idea if you really think about it.
But that wasn't the only exciting thing that was happening. Like a pair of twin torpedoes, two Rapidmon shot out of the water and tumbled onto the deck, their armor cracked and looking worse for wear. Shortly after, the Gusokumon they were fighting surfaced, using its claws to climb aboard, its large, heavy body causing the ship to rock back and forth as if it would capsize at any moment. "Blaaargh..." Gusokomon cried out, ever-so-eloquently.
"Damn... This guy's tough..." Mocha commented, half angry, half exhausted.
"And despite his foul nature, his backstory and motivations are complex and meaningful..." Cream added.
"Bloooorgh!" Gusokumon yelled out in response.
However, Mocha shot back, "Dammit, Gusokumon! You can't just 'Blorgh' your past away! You gotta own up to all the bad things that you've d..." Her attention towards towards a small pink-haired girl lying on the deck, struggling to stand. "Nanami!" Mocha flew over towards the small girl and tried to cradle the girl in her arm. Unfortunately, Mocha's hands were rocket launchers, so it was a bit too delicate of a task for her.
"Oh... Hey, Mocha..." Nanami answered, her voice weak, yet nevertheless carefree and friendly as ever. "Are you doing okay?"
"What the hell are you doing all beat up like this? Where's the damned..." The pink Rapidmon glanced around to see an unconscious Falcomon. "You useless fucking bird! Why the hell are you even here!?"
"It's not Mu-kun's fault..." Nanami answered with a shake of her head. She found the strength to get back to her feet, albeit leaning on Mocha for support at first. "These guys are pretty strong..."
"Tell me about it. That damned shellfish is too hard to take out in this form..." Mocha complained. "Nothing we did could get past his armor..."
Nanami nodded, looking at the tough armor as the Gusokomon boarded proper while Cream did her best to push him back into the water, to no avail. Cream was sent flying back as she skidded back to where Mocha and Nanami were. "...This is becoming a problem..." She muttered, clearly worn out.
Nanami gulped as she held her Digivice. All the time they spent training in the North, and they weren't even any stronger to show for it. Was it all for nothing? Why couldn't they get any stronger when there were stronger bad people showing up? Wasn't this a magical device thingy that could make them stronger and stronger?
Her stomach began to twist and turn as Gusokumon got even closer, his massive, armored body shaking the boat as he moved closer. Then her chest began to ache again. Like her heart was dying once again. Nanami clutched at her chest, Digivice still in hand. Was it Nanami's fault that Mocha and Cream couldn't get any stronger? Was she too weak or something? Was she not taking this seriously enough? No... that wasn't right, either! Nanami tried her best to get stronger and more useful, too! And she was definitely being serious, so...
Something suddenly clicked in her head as she came to a sudden realization. The question wasn't "why can't I help my partners get even stronger?" so much as... "What the h-e-double-hockeysticks could possibly stop me from helping my partners?" If Mocha and Cream needed to get stronger, then... Nanami should just stop thinking so much and just... let it happen!
And once that thought entered her head, her Digivice erupted in an explosion of light that covered her and her two partners. And standing beside the little girl, where the two Rapidmon once stood, were two completely new Digimon.
One was a rabbit-like Digimon covered in a silvery armor, wielding a rather large crescent blade in one hand and a shield in the other. Mocha the Crescemon looked herself over, and cracked her neck in excitement.
The other was a much-more humanoid, yet still otherworldly angel with a flowing lavender sash and eight majestic wings. Cream the Angewomon examined her new body and nodded with a frown.
Gusokumon paused for a moment at this new development, and it was all the time the newly-evolved Digimon needed. They both conjured an arrow, one of darkness, the other of light, and fired it straight at the encroaching ultimate. The arrows merged mid-flight, becoming a swirling bolt of chaotic energy that struck true, tearing into and completely through the Gusokumon.
"BLEEEEEEERGH!!!" Gusokomon yelled out as his body scattered into data. Meanwhile, Mocha just stood there, dumbfounded, blinking twice before throwing her arms up in the air in frustration.
"Really!? We get these awesome new forms and then our opponent just does down in one hit like a chump? What kind of that bullshit is that?"
Cream took a moment before proposing. "Maybe we wore him down more than we thought?"
Either that or the writer lost the last half of this post twice, and realized that she was already over 1000 words and just wanted to end it already. Could be anything, tbh

Sure enough, the move she distinctly recalled did a significant number on herself would wind up proving to be advantageous to have recalled in full--for it would surely help with whittling the dark serpent down. Really, it was all Omen could do as the lone Ultimate on Nanami's side. Stick things through, and ensure that they got to the other side. She took a moment to take note of what precisely WaruSeadramon could have been preparing, before looking on towards the other facets of the conflict. Namely... Her friends, aiding each other to grow to that next...stage. The same one she had hit, though born from something different. Not out of rage at herself or her foe, but more... Just allowing them to become as they needed to. As they had to, really, in order to protect the people around them whilst they dropped like flies. "Is...This the power of the human heart?" Omen found herself asking a question that she had no idea what the answer to could be. For...She was not one who was ever meant to partner up. Such power to display... "It doesn't matter! Fight with me, we'll kick their butts together!" Simple conclusions guided such a statement. With three ultimates plus Polas, they had a significant advantage over Twintusk and his gang now that the amount of enemies had begun to dwindle. With a ferocity that may be recognizable to any who had ever seen Mae fight, Omen launched herself for WaruSeadramon as he charged his attack, attempting to tear into him with Berserk Sinking. Charging an attack while you were in plain sight was kind of a terrible tactic...Unless the charged attack was a technique that affected the very area around the serpent, in which case, it was a well laid trap. It was time to find out which of the two it was. Folly, or genius? A tough one, considering venom was coursing through the serpent's veins. It seared...
God, I'm Going To Hate This Venom Amp [Passive]: When an enemy takes lingering damage from an ability, that damage is increased by an additional 20% for every additional post that ability has been active. So on the first turn of lingering damage, it would be a 20% increase, the second a 40% total, and the third a 60% increase in damage. This ability won’t work on a lingering damage effect on its 4th turn or longer.
Empty Vessel [Passive]: This Digimon’s basic attacks deal as much damage as a post with no cooldown.
Venom Amp's first turn has elapsed, dealing 20% more damage than it would have. It hurts. Omen catapults herself at WaruSeadramon to add on more damage with Berserk Sinking. Berserk Sinking [RAM Upgrade]: When your mother was one of the more terrifying Meicrackmon Vicious Modes on the site, you tend to inherit a few things from her. Leucrotamon lunges for a foe with fang and claw, trying to tear into them with the same level of ferocity as one of the dreaded cats. The wounds left by this attack fester, and should healing be applied? They become 50% more severe for that next post. More pain! Two turn cooldown. Durations: Venom Javelin (+ Venom Amp): 1/3 Swapped Moves: 1/3 Cooldowns: Venom Javelin: 1/5

WaruSeadramon winced in pain as he felt the toxin run through his Digimon-equivalent of veins. But still he charged his attack. Even so, he wasn't scared, even though he did see Gusokumon, his longtime rival just get wasted. He was kind of too pissed at this point, regardless.
"Oh? You're saying you need our help?" Mocha asked Omen in mock...mockery. A Mocha-ry, if you will. "Well, I guess we can bail you out of this!"
"That means she's glad to help!" Nanami translated from a distance.
"Shut it, stupid Nanami!" Mocha yelled back. "And how did you even hear what I was saying!?"
"I didn't! I learned how to read lips!"
"When... How did you even..." Mocha shook her head in frustration. "Whatever... the moment's ruined! Ice Blade Circus!" Mocha out her massive crescent blade, its edge glowing in a cool blue icy energy before two blades of frost-covered air flew out towards the WaruSeadramon. He was currently thinking about how much pain he was in, though, so he didn't bother to dodge. And now he was in more pain. Then Omen leaped at him and mauled him a crapton more. So now he was in even more pain. He probably couldn't take too many more hits, and there was the quiet Angewomon who flew up, ready to unleash a devastating...
Nah. Instead she pat Omen on the back, transferring a holy energy that would let her attack twice in the same post. A Champion's Calling, if you pleased. She didn't say anything directly to anyone, but Omen heard her mutter, "Why do I always get all the human-looking forms...?"
Welp, it was finally WaruSeadramon's turn to attack! He was gonna blast the damned Leucrotamon and obliterate her with his ultimate attack! Except the pink-haired girl swiped another card through her Digivice, facing towards Omen. And suddenly the pink-haired girl's bestie would find herself able to move super fast. Probably fast enough to dodge an attack. Not that WaruSeadramon knew that.
But that wasn't all that was going on! The Commander stood back up, charging towards Nanami once more. "Why is everyone ignoring m-" He cried out before his legs gave way. But the beginning of his sentence was enough to catch the little girl's attention enough to cause her to spin around only to see the Commander fall, his head colliding with the little girl's own.
There was a piercing smacking sound as the force of their collision caused Nanami's hair to fly back, and by the time it settled back down into place The Commander slumped over to the ground, unconscious. As for Nanami?
"Ouchies..." She groaned, holding her head, but otherwise still standing. Meanwhile, Polas and Twintusk's scuffle came to an end as the Zudomon suddenly found himself de-digivolving back into a Gomamon once his tamer lost consciousness. Twintusk looked confused for a second before looking over towards his fallen partner.
"Andie!" He yelled out, turning around and running to his ally. Unfortunately, he was still in the middle of a fight.
"MANLY... PUUUUNCH!" Polas screamed out. Despite the attack name, the Blizzarmon threw a leg back and punted the large Gomamon off the ship, his screams piercing the air only to be halted when he collided with the freezing waters. Meanwhile, the remaining Hookmon surrounded Nanami. And then a portal of water appeared and Hangyomon reappeared as well, causing the rest of Polas and Shiroku's goons to freak out and panic. "You have... defeated our commander. Which leaves us... no choice..."
Hangyomon and the remaining Hookmon got down onto the deck, prostrating themselves before the little girl. Nanami blinked a couple of times, confused. "Eh?"
Meanwhile, WaruSeadramon also took notice, and said. "Nah." Then he fired a big black beam of energy towards Omen. He'd kill her first, then destroy the ship, load the data of everyone that survived, and eat the humans for good measure. But he certainly wasn't going to be a part of whatever bullshit was gonna go down.
- Nanami slashes the Lightning Implant D-Arc card, greatly increasing Omen's movement speed, hopefully letting her dodge the attack that WaruSeadramon spent an entire turn charging.
- Cream supports Omen with her Champion's Calling, letting her use two named abilities per turn if she wants.
- Mocha throws a couple ice blades at WaruSeadramon. He's in pain.
- WaruSeadramon is in pain for various reasons, but uses big charge attack to shoot at a double-buffed Omen. Having friends is so lame. Gawd.
- Thomas Andersmith, formerly known as The Commander, who's a totally-serious and intimidating villain and not some weeb tamer that got really lucky, gets knocked out after tripping and slamming his head into Nanami's thick skull. Because of his loss of consciousness, Twintusk de-digivolves back into a Gomamon with dental issues. As the one who felled the previous Commander, Nanami now commands his forces.

Not the time for that. Not the time for that at all. Omen batted that thought aside repeatedly in her head, given she had way more shit to focus on than Mocha being Mocha. Not that that was bad, just. Stung. Yep!
Regardless. The tide turned swiftly on WaruSeadramon--A few more attacks and he would likely go down for the count. "...I could trade with you if you want..." Omen murmured right back at Cream.
Things had been developing over at Nanami's end again, and by some miracle, Nanami had...caused the bitchboy to get knocked out. "ALL HAIL CAPTAIN NANAMI!" Omen yelled out in victory! Even Twintusk got knocked off, that was REALLY funny!
Just as WaruSeadramon fired off that big shot he had been laboriously saving up. Truly. We live in a society where Omen can dodge that. And guess what Omen did?
She would LEAP right over the big projectile. "Hey, sorry, but I'm gonna have to kick your ass now! So, fuck you!" Omen called out, the beast soaring straight for WaruSeadramon as she turned around, firing a torrent of weirdly corrosive flame from her maw like a beam! Following that, the beast whirled herself 'round, her tail snapping open to reveal a furnace of hellfire waiting within!
"AND SO LONG! PYRE VORTEX!"
Double buffs were terrible. She used Craft Shooter and Pyre Vortex.
WaruSeadramon.
Please.
Fuck off.

| Oh yeah, forgot to mention. I'm using templates now. It's obnoxiously bright and pink, just like Nanami!
If it's bothersome, just say so and I'll stop using it. |
While things were looking pretty over for Nanami and the crew, Omen's side still had a bit of cleaning up to do. Thankfully, things seemed pretty over once Omen just dodged WaruSeadramon's ultimate attack like it was nothing. With the mounting poison and the damage he had received so far, he was at an obvious disadvantage. Even if he did somehow defeat Omen and the Crescemon and Angewomon, he would still have to deal with the remaining pirate crew. Any smart Digimon would cut their losses and run, but at this moment in time, WaruSeadramon was too pissed to even consider the possibility of death.
"I'll destroy you all! Don't think I won't! I'm gonna-" He screamed out as vortex of flames consumed his big snake-y body as he burnt away, his skull-like helm falling into the water before breaking apart and scattering into data into ocean. Maybe he would come back one day... but probably not. WaruSeadramon's a cool Digimon and all, but as a character, he was pretty barebones, villain-wise. And he was just a henchman for a laughable joke currently lying unconscious on the ship deck.
"Yeah, well... I softened him up for you," Mocha commented, touching creating a trail of ice in midair to grind all the way back to the ship. Meanwhile, Cream would fly over and guide Omen back towards the ship if she weren't capable of doing so herself. Whether Digimon can fly or not is sometimes pretty vague.
"So... what happens now?" Nanami asked, clearly confused on the proceedings. Polas walked right up to her and rubbed his hand through her hair.
"Whatever you want now!" Polas stated. "Twintusk and his pet human took over my old crew by besting me in combat previously, and now you've bested their captain, so until someone appears to take you down, you're in command of whatever remains of the old crew!" He turned over towards Hangyomon and the various Hookmon. "Do you have any objections, louts?"
"N-No sir!" The Hookmon's collective reply while Hangyomon simply remained bowing.
"Oh, well... then... Everyone has to... umm..." She crossed her arms, thinking of what she should order them. "Oh... I got it! Everyone that's bad has to pretend that they're a good person and do a bunch of good things from now on! That's your punishment for working for such a bad person and doing bad things!"
"But what if we're not bad people...?" One of the Hookmon asked. Nanami frowned and shrugged.
"Then... you have to fight Polas, Omen, Cream, and Mocha! 'Cause you have to... train or something because... you weren't nice enough!" How that made sense at all, one had to wonder, but the collective Hookmon gave a salute.
"I'm definitely bad, cap'n!" "Yep! The worst kind of scoundrel!" "No one more bad than me!"
Meanwhile, Cream would move over and put her hands on the fallen Falcomon, restoring the Rookie Digimon's vitality enough for her to shoot straight upwards with a dagger in each hand.
"Lady Nanami!" She yelled out, putting herself in between her lady and her new minions.
"Mu-kun!" Nanami exclaimed, hugging the big bird from behind. "You missed a bunch of stuff, but now I'm their captain now! I beat the previous captain, and I didn't even get hurt that badly!" As she finished her last sentence, blood began to run down from her forehead. "It's all so exciting, It's making me dizzy!"
"No, that's probably the concussion," Shiroku stated, grabbing the girl's arm and gently setting her down.
"Then... I shall tend to your wounds!" Mu-kun proclaimed, placing her feather hand on her chest. She was still holding onto one of her daggers, and seemed to have forgotten that fact, but if she was feeling any pain from it, she didn't seem to show it.
"No need..." The Chakmon placed his hand over her head. "Some rest and icepack should do the trick for now. We'll fix her up proper once we get to land."
"Mmm... that feels nice..." Nanami moaned as Mu-kun fell to her bird-knees.
"I'm useless..." She muttered while Mocha of all people bent down to pat her on the back. Or at least flex her new Ultimate-level form or something.
"Cheer up! I'm sure you did something helpful! Like..." She didn't even finish her sentence before standing up and walking away.

"Face me in another life, and maybe you'll stand a chance! But not today!" Omen barked at the dying WaruSeadramon...right as she narrowly avoided faceplanting into the deck by virtue of Cream helping her.
"...Thank you for the save, um...I don't think my heart would've survived if I wound up looking really dumb in front of my prince..." Omen told Cream as she was presumably lowered onto the deck, the Leucrotamon promptly slumping over to dedigivolve to Wispmon.
Adrenaline as a force was something that motivated so many to do the impossible. Adrenaline, however, was fleeting, ephemeral. Temporary. So, a lot of things passed her over but...everyone seemed to be taking to Nanami as the captain well.
That was nice.
The Wispmon pulled herself to her feet and waddled over to her friends, peering to Mu-kun. "...Should probably get some rest..." Though it was more meant as a general sort of statement. "Please make sure Nanami's not like...permanently hurt--you humans are weird like that..."

| I've got nothing to say here. I'm doing quite well, even though things are a little messy, weather-wise. I hope you're doing well today! That can be to Bass, or literally anyone with the patience to read Nanami's terrible posts! |
Cream looked over to Omen after she mentioned she didn't want to look like a fool in front of "her prince". Cream then looked towards the Rookie birb that was sulking for not being stronger than a Rookie, Polas's bumbling minions who had started talking trash towards Hangyomon and the Hookmon even though none of them really did anything in the fight, and to Mocha, who apparently decided that one life-threatening battle wasn't enough and was now picking a fight with Polas in her newfound evolutionary state. All while the little girl was laying down from accidentally headbutting a man over twice her size which, by some stupid series of rules, meant that she was now in charge of all of the people they were previously fighting against. Cream looked back towards Omen and shook her head. "Something tells me you wouldn't stand out too much if you did."
Mocha and Polas apparently decided to stand in place and start clobbering each other with their bare hands, in an irrelevant background scene that would no doubt in a vague, Rocky III freezeframe scenario.
As Omen dragged herself towards the group proper, Mu-kun didn't seem to be listening to much of anyone, more intent on keeping to herself. But she was probably gonna be fine! It wasn't she was gonna start planning anything drastic, or anything of the sort!
Besides, this was the time for celebration! Which is why Nanami blurted out, "We should celebrate this or something! Once I start feeling better, let's all go back to Polas's camp and hold a big party and stuff! Omen's here, and Mocha and Cream a lot stronger, and Polas got to beat up some people he wanted to beat up! Oh... no offense, new friends!" She waved over towards the villainous pirates who just kind of shrugged while looking uncomfortable
Things were winding down, much like this thread probably will!

"Maybe you're right about that--Most of the time we're a lot dumber than we make ourselves out to be, and it kind of makes me a little sad to see given I know we're...usually able to do better..." Delirium was quickly giving way to exhaustion, though.
A celebration would be nice. "Like...a party? That could be fun, sure. But...maybe later? I need a nap. Beauty sleep. That thing that's a mythical concept." In a strictly metaphorical sense? Yes, fellow author.
Things were winding down. People had no cause to fight anymore, and against every odd in the world, someone had come out of this at the helm of a whole pirate ship. Omen had also sort of brought her most powerful form under a degree of control. So long as it held purpose?
It's power was, more or less hers.
As it should be.
"...Gonna nap...Wake me up at some point..."
Fin?
