MPC Name: Wild Card/When I'm Human MPC Number: 90X/ 27Reward Requested: Bits Mandrake groaned and shivered as various loud noises that were clearly vehicles and sentient life entered his ears. It seemed Mandrake was on the cold ground and the area reeked majorly. Something felt wrong. Why was he feeling concrete under what felt like bare flesh. Groaning his sapphire blue eyes slowly opened catching sight of a dumpster practically right next to him obscuring him from immediate view of the public which he was grateful for until he caught sight of the color of the flesh of his right hand. Reasonably freaked out Mandrake sat up so fast his back hit the wall behind him. His right arm was still obviously his artificial bionic arm but the rest of him is where he was trying his best not to freak out. Not only he had been turned into a human but he seemed to be a nude version of how he looked in his holosuit. What was worse was that since he was human he couldn't telepathically sense anyone around him and he didn't know where Lothar and Kshin were making him more alarmed. Despite knowing he was in the Human World he felt frightened. Not knowing what to do he curled up in a ball trying his best to not only keep warm but also shield his nudity the best he could from anyone who could come across him. He hoped who ever found him would be someone friendly. Word Count: 239/1000

After Hans returned from the Digital World to grab his stuff, he finally resolved to visit Ninjutsu master Hatsumi. That was his goal of traveling to Japan after all. However, living in the Digital World has proven to the guy, that his personal combat skills were pretty useless. Simply because all fighting is done by his vixen. But surviving techniques - pretty much. Ninjutsu had more things to offer, but the Swiss wanted to focus on the non-combat part of the art. In his opinion, that would help him greatly in Wonderland. Unfortunately, the master was accepting visitors only in the morning, meaning Hans should be fast, hoping he'll get home by the time his Digimon will wake up. To make his way faster, he decided to cut his way through several lanes. It was a soothering view to pass by all those houses so early. Suddenly, his focused mind was interrupted by a naked human, curled in a ball. Of course, that wasn't his business, but Walzman was a curious person. And this time isn't an exception.
At first, he thought that guy was a junkie. Hans has seen what drugs do with people, so such behavior is pretty common for the affected. But curling in a ball isn't typical for all of them. In fact, he didn't know what could cause him to act like this. But Hans didn't want to call the police yet as the naked one didn't possess any threat. If anything, Walzman was a soldier and can defend himself even from a knife. So until the curled one won't show any signs of danger, Weeknd decided to do his own investigation. What if the another person is a tourist, who was robbed by the Yakuza?
"Ahem, are you okay, need any help?". Walzman asked, carefully approaching the other person.

Flashback to earlier in the day.....
Mandrake, Lothar, and Kshin were roaming around near the village his father called home. They had agreed to search for some herbs for Theron so the Jijimon could focus on his other duties as both village leader and elder. Then it happened while Kshin was examining a nearby herb while looking at a list with pictures while Lothar was standing not far away from Mandrake when the Wizardmon felt a presence approaching them. Before Lothar could say a thing a FlameWizardmon appeared in a dramatic flash of light. After glancing briefly at Kshin before looking in recognition, Kshin's amber eyes were quite distinctive when compared to other Gumdramon, before looking at Mandrake and Lothar as he said "It seems my shrinking potion didn't do it's job since it is obvious you found the cure. Looks like I have to resort to a stronger spell." FlameWizardmon then waved his arms sending a mist in the direction of Mandrake and Lothar. Acting quickly Mandrake shoved Lothar back with his staff which was an impressive feat seeing as Lothar was twice his size. However Mandrake was not able to avoid the mist as it enveloped him and when it cleared the four foot wizard was gone.
Lothar growled in anger and leapt at FlameWizardmon snatching up the fire themed wizard by the shirt lifting him to eye level before he yelled "Where is he? What have you done to him?"
"He's alive and safe from me for now. I have used my magic to turn him into a helpless human but if you find him first he will have a chance to survive until nightfall when the spell ends. I don't think I have to mention what happens if I find him first. In any case Ta-Ta. I don't want to be near a village of magicians when they catch wind of what happened." he said before disappearing with a flash of bright light.
"Kshin, we have to head for the nearby Trailmon. We have to get to Mandrake before it's too late." Lothar said with panic lacing his voice. Kshin nodded and followed Lothar without a word since he had seen everything.
Present....
It was when Mandrake heard a voice his head snapped up as a human had made his way to his out of the way spot. A blond young adult was staring at him making him feel more self conscious and not just because of his current predicament. Without uncurling he subconsciously tried to hide his bionic left arm, which he still felt self conscious about, before deciding to answer the man who spoke Japanese to him but with a notable accent from a language he didn't speak despite being fluent in quite a few it was one he didn't recognize. So in Japanese, but with his typical British accent, said "I don't know how much you can help. I have become separated from my family and, as you can see, I can't search for them like this."

"You're right. At least let me find you some clothing, so you won't get police on your tail. Or other unpleasant company. Use this and follow me. My house is nearby.". The Swiss said, passing the guy his green khaki jacket to cover his lower nudity. Luckily for Mandrake, Hans had another pair of dressings, so they only need to make their way to his house. Of course, Walzman hoped that Kitsune is still sleeping, otherwise she might be spotted. "And while we're going to my modest shelter, who's your family? And what you're doing here... naked? I can understand if you refuse to answer. "
However, when he was handing the jacket, he totally forgot about his Digivice inside. It dropped to the ground, exposing itself to Mandrake's eyes and causing to murmur swearing in German. But Walzman reacted quickly, taking it to one of his pants' pockets, hoping that guy won't pay attention to that.

Mandrake didn't know why but he felt as if this man truly met him no harm even offering him his green khaki jacket as a temporary solution to his current problem which he wrapped around his waist. Then he slowly pushed himself to his feet his bionic arm clenching tightly to the khaki jacket to keep it in place. "Thank you." Mandrake said.
When the stranger asked who is family was and why was he naked, Mandrake had no idea at first how to answer him until the noise of something falling to the ground from the pocket of the khaki jacket caught Mandrake's attention. It looked like a digivice. As the stranger quickly recovered it mumbling something that sounded like a swear in a language he didn't know and put it in his pants pocket, Mandrake realized that maybe he could understand his predicament more since he seemed to know what a digimon was based on the reaction the Wizardmon turned human observed. "What I have to say may sound crazy but since I saw you have a digivice you must be at least somewhat aware of what a digimon is. Before I woke up naked behind that dumpster I was a digimon myself. I was assisting my father by gathering herbs with my boyfriend and our youngest son. Then a digimon called FlameWizardmon appeared and sent some strange mist at me and when woke up I was human. I know it sounds crazy but that's what happened."
Meanwhile Lothar and Kshin had made it to the Trailmon station and boarded after Lothar had picked Kshin up bolting for their car dropping the Gumdramon in the backseat before hopping into the driver's seat. Kshin had barely anytime to buckle the seat belt before Lothar had floored it making it to the station in a time that could of been called insane. Though Kshin knew why they had to hurry he hoped that he didn't have to have a ride to the Trailmon station like that ever again.

He knew he had to react faster, much faster! But when another guy claimed he was a digimon, Hans got freeze for a bit and raised his eyebrow. Since he saw, that Matrix is real, Hans didn't want to argue or protest. After all, there was another digimon at his home, waiting for his return. The one Hans thought to be worth living for! He would even sacrifice himself if he had to. So just like his lovely Kitsune, Walzman was absolutely dedicated to helping Mandrake. He didn't know if that transformed digimon was planning something bad or not. Because in the end, the Digital World itself will know that Hans helped the poor guy. And the Swiss knew that Renamon would approve it.
"I believe you. After all, I'm a proud owner of a Renamon, so fear nothing. The real question is how you'll find your family. If there is something I can do, just ask.". Hans said in a friendly manner, approaching his house. Even though it was early morning, the couple got some odd gazes from people but Hans didn't care.
Once the duo reached Hans' property, the human has kindly invited Mandrake inside. The house wasn't too large or any fancy, more like a very traditional Japanese, yet two stored. Strictly functional, as the Swiss would say. Mostly because of his military past where was no place for artistic staff. As such, Walzman didn't want his Renamon being spotted by anyone, so the second floor was a necessary security measure. He planned for the guest to remain on the ground floor until his little issue resolution.
"Are you hungry?". The young tamer asked, fiddling with his backpack in search of clothing. If there is one thing Hans can't do well, is householding. Cooking was an exception because of his past, but that's all. Regardless, finding something for Mandrake to wear didn't take too long, and soon it was proposed for the guest to don: underwear, some pants, and a t-shirt, all are plain white-colored. Of course, everything was clean and extremely comfortable (by Hans' standards).

Judging by the stranger's reaction he was quite surprised and honestly who could blame him. Mandrake's story was indeed bizarre to those not familiar to magic but they continued on. Occasionally the would attract stares from some of the locals and Mandrake began rubbing his bionic arm with his free hand. This was no magic show where he was in his natural element since he normally had clothing that covered his artificial limb. Fortunately they did no more than stare likely finding it more strange that a nude man covering himself with a khaki jacket was following a fully dressed one.
"Again thank you. At least my boyfriend should be easy to locate in theory since even in his holosuit he stands out since in that disguise he is six foot eight and muscular." Mandrake said as the approached Hans' residence.
As the man rummaged through his backpack Mandrake looked around seeing the simplistic decorating scheme. It reminded him of Lothar's father when it came to decorative tastes. When asked if he was hungry Mandrake shook his head and said "No. I just ate no more than a couple hours ago." He then became of a foul smell that he wasn't aware of at first in his predicament but seeing as he had been lying behind a smelly dumpster naked when he regained consciousness such a thing didn't suprise him one bit. "While I don't need food right now. I need a shower since I smell as if I was rolling in the garbage not just laying unsconscious near it." Mandrake said as he accepted the clothes hoping that this spell wasn't permanent. He didn't relish in the thought of no longer having his telepathic abilities since without them he felt frightened and lost.
Meanwhile in some park in Shibuya FlameWizardmon appeared. Looking around he activated what looked like a holosuit taking on the appearence of an old man with a long grey beard. His clothing was robes giving him the look of a traveling performer and all together looked harmless to any unassuming human. Picking up the magical energy left by the spell he put on Mandrake he smiled cruelly. Unknown to his victim he was going to be easy to track down. "Looks like the poor Wizardmon won't last until the spell wears off since I'll be able to track him down in no time since the magical energies aren't moving very far." he said with a chuckle before he started walking.
As for Lothar and Kshin, they had just arrived at the Trailmon station in Shibuya and had donned their holosuits. Unfortunately they had nothing to really go by so they began walking at a swift pace hoping to find some hint of where Mandrake had been transported too. Hopefully they wouldn't be too late.

"Make yourself at home. Shower is right here.". Hans replied, pointing to the white door, behind which one was a bath and a shower. And while Mandrake will be bathing, Walzman decided to make some food for himself and Renamon, and let his Ninpo master know, that he won't come today for a practice lesson. Perhaps, today is a good day to pass some knowledge to Kitsune? It's been two days since her last training, so why not. However, before Mandrake could make their way to the bath, there was a thing Hans wanted to clear out. It was about FlameWizardmon. "Hold on, buddy. You've said you have been turned by FlameWizardmon. Did he say you if he going to go after you or something? So just to be sure we're not expecting more guests or so."
One floor higher was a meditating Renamon. Normally, Digimons don't that, but Kitsune was different. Meditation was the first thing Hans taught her. By doing so she's always ready for a fight as her mind will be clear of any interferencing thoughts, which would allow her to be focused on the enemy way better. However, as her master returned, she sensed a digimon, although it was very distant. That had interrupted her focus gathering and the vixen resolved to check what's going down there. Luckily, the color of the walls and upstairs was almost matching Renamon's fur, so it would be hard to notice her. From there, she witnessed a conversation between two humans. The smell was coming from another guy but she couldn't get why. However, being taught by Hans not to do anything stupid, Renamon returned to the living room and decided to wait for her master.

Hans indicated the direction of the bathroom and Mandrake nodded heading towards the indicated white door before being told to hang on. After listening to the man's concerns it made Mandrake think he had a point. He was not sure of FlameWizardmon's intent as he had blacked out when the spell was cast upon them. "You bring up sound worries but I'm not sure of FlameWizardmon's true intentions as I blacked out when the spell was cast upon me. So if anything was said afterwards I would not of known." Mandrake answered now looking quite worried. If FlameWizardmon meant to harm him he was currently helpless to defend himself against potential attack from a digimon.
Heading into the bathroom his mind swam with thoughts as he went about the task of getting clean praying that Lothar and Kshin would find him first. Upon leaving the bathroom he was now dressed. The pants were a bit snug but he was taller than the stranger so despite his light frame was likely heavier so it made sense.
Meanwhile Lothar and Kshin had made it unknowingly to the alley Mandrake woke up in. Peering into it and seeing nothing Lothar was beginning to look more and more worried. Kshin took a peak into the alley itself and also looked around seeing nothing at first until movement caught his eye. Lothar watched as Kshin went behind the dumpster with a confused look on his face as he asked "Kshin, what are you doing back there? Mandrake isn't there."
"I know but I saw something moving back there. Give me a minute." Kshin replied hoping not to sound rude as he knew they were pressed for time. It was then he saw it. Though dirty there was no mistaking the familiar red Impmon scarf Mandrake always wore. During the process of the spell it must of come undone from Mandrake's hair where it would of normally of been tied in his Wizardmon form. Picking it up with a grimace from how dirty it was he ran back to Lothar and said "Lothar, I've found Mandrake's scarf. It seems to have come free of his hair during the casting of the spell. Maybe he's near here."
"I hope so. Good work, Kshin." Lothar said turning and making his way with Kshin following clutching the dirty scarf making sure not to lose it. Mandrake would definitely want it cleaned and returned to him when the spell wore off.

Mandrake's answer didn't reveal anything certain as Hans hoped. In fact, it meant now some unwelcome visitors may appear. But Walzman was a man who faces any danger with the highest respect, so he just proceeded with his normal behavior. He looked calm on the surface, but already was trying to predict potential situations of what might happen. One thing he knew for sure - his Renamon can be involved in the process. Probably, her training will be delayed as the visitors may come anytime. Luckily, Hans's modest mansion had a high roof and allowed an advantage by allowing them to observe anything for two lanes around it. It was just a place where Kitsune and Hans loved to stay in the evenings because of the astonishing views.
"I'll be on the roof. The door right to my living room. Join us when you're done.". The Swiss announced passing by the bathroom, so Mandrake will know where Hans would be. After then he continued his path to his room, where he asked his Renamon to follow him. There they have finally started on their meal sitting in Seiza , and so the day. Of course, Hans' purpose of having breakfast on the roof was different. From this height they can spot everyone who may approach the house as it had only one entrance and high walls block a possible penetration from sides. Unless that someone could fly.
"Be on guard. We may get some unwelcome guests. If things go south, recall everything I told you before. I'll explain everything afterward. Okay?". Hans asked, looking in distance all the time while he was speaking because he didn't want to miss the moment when FlameWizardmon will arrive. And only turned his head to make his question. Kitsune's nod of approval was everything he needed at the moment. The vixen was a smart digimon and Walzman loved that. "And of course, feel free to act on your own if you won't able to follow your training. It's supposed to help you in a fight, but it's not a thing to follow blindly."
After that, they remained silent for the rest of the breakfast.

While Mandrake was showering the thought of FlameWizardmon had come to mind and it was unsettling to say the least. If he weren't in his current predicament he could surely hold his own against the fiery wizard but right now he was mostly dead weight and he found it as frustrating as it was worrying. Mandrake then heard Hans mention he would be on the roof and to join him and his partner when he was done. That was no problem with him as he had no idea of how to find Lothar and Kshin without leaving himself vulnerable.
When he left the bathroom dressed he made his way to the roof soon spotting Hans and his Renamon partner. Upon hearing his words to Renamon he said "I'm not against being on my guard. Even I don't know what combat abilities this FlameWizardmon has. I just hope that he won't arrive before my family. I have a feeling we'll need all the help we can get."
Looking around he could see the advantages such a position could provide. From here it would be hard for an aggressive intruder to sneak up undetected unless they could turn invisible or fly. Breakfast was silent as Mandrake continued looking out over the ground spotting a two figures in the distance and as they approached Mandrake had to resist the urge to run back down into the house and to Lothar and Kshin. Knowing Lothar had excellent hearing even while disguised he, while waving, called out "Lothar! Kshin!"
Sure enough it got the response he was looking for as Lothar in his disguise of a six foot eight muscular titan looked up towards the roof of a two story residence seeing Mandrake waving to him. As he and Kshin got closer he could see Mandrake was dressed differently than he normally would be so apparently his holosuit wasn't being used despite his human transformation looking identical except for the clothing he was wearing.
Not far away but far enough not to be spotted, FlameWizardmon watched in his disguised form. Getting to Mandrake was going to be very difficult now that his family had spotted him and some meddler had given him shelter. That didn't matter. He was patient enough to wait for just the right moment to strike. After all the day was still young.

Mandrake's company arriving was pretty calculated, what would raise Hans' suspicion if he hasn't been told. That happened just on his breakfast end. However, Weeknd's plan was to stay here for a while, allowing Mandrake to meet his pals being "undercover".
"Your guys? Well, go meet them. Me and Renamon will stay here, just in case of FlameWizardmon's appearance.". Hans stated, focusing on the approaching group. His primary concern was wooden electrical supports - if the FlameWizardmon start a battle right there, he could ignite some of them. Beating the fire in a fight would be hard to do. Because of really tight streets and close proximity of pillars to each other, that could create a potential problem. Hans will have to explain the damage to property and that would force him to stay in the Digital World for a long time, and his mother will surely get some invoices from the Japanese government. So that he wanted to avoid.

Upon Mandrake hearing that he and Renamon would keep an eye out didn't ease Mandrake's worry. "FlameWizardmon could easily be disguised using a holosuit so he might not be so easy to spot before he's upon us." Mandrake informed the pair before heading down to the front door and cautiously peering outside and slowly making his way to Lothar and Kshin. Upon seeing Mandrake come out of the house both Lothar and Kshin increased their pace running to Mandrake.
Meanwhile the disguised FlameWizardmon deactivated his holosuit returning to his true appearence. He couldn't believe his luck. His victim was making it easy for him and who was he to miss such an opportunity as this? Focusing his magic FlameWizardmon began turning black before bursting into flames and used a transformation ability akin to Mandrake's Divine Transformation only in FlameWizardmon's case he turned himself into a giant black phoenix. In two powerful wing flaps he was in the air seemingly not caring who saw him flying in the air before diving down talons outstretched and grabbing ahold of Mandrake none to gently before plucking him off the ground. The act was so shockingly fast that Lothar couldn't stop FlameWizardmon from flying off with Mandrake heading to a less populated part of town. Sure he could of dropped Mandrake and been done with it but where would the fun of that been when he had a better end planned for the temporary human in mind.
Kshin started to tear up as FlameWizardmon was getting out of range crying out "No, Mandrake!" Lothar, however, had attempted to bolt after FlameWizardmon barely keeping the evil digimon in sight. Even if he deactivated his holosuit he would still struggle with keeping up and FlameWizardmon was drawing enough attention so he didn't need to make things worse. Just what did that fiend have in mind for Mandrake?

Even though events happened in the worst way, Hans managed to wait for a moment when Renamon should strike and then ordered to do so. Perhaps, if FlameWizardmon's target was his digimon, things might happened in a much different way. But it didn't.
"DIAMOND STORM!". The fox shouted, sending a fan of sharpened leaves with high deflection where the black phoenix was heading to. Most of them reached their target but didn't seem to cause significant damage. At the same time, two or three of them had pierced and injured the phoenix head and a wing, so that would surely have to slow him down for a bit. But that wasn't Renamon's fault as she didn't know who could be her enemy. Even his Digivice scanner couldn't identify the beast, claiming an entry wasn't found. Besides, she and her partner didn't have much combat experience. It's rather Hans who didn't insist on the meeting of Mandrake's company inside his house. At least there was no damage to commune property, so the crisis was averted. It had its price, though, putting Hans in bad mood.
"Hi. Still need my help?". Hans asked Kshin upon his exit. He knew it wasn't his battle and couldn't be aware of what he might be getting into. Of course, he didn't like it, but couldn't simply stay aside. However, Mandrake was kidnapped and Walzman felt somewhat guilty as he could prevent the bad turn of events. He didn't even ask Mandrake's name when he should, which was even more disrespectful. So now he had to offer his help, even if there would be too little what he and his Kitsune could do.

FlameWizardmon cried out in pain as Renamon's leaves sunk into his form and he momentarily lost focus as he glitched almost transforming back but was still able to get away with Mandrake though he was flying a bit slower than before which was the primary reason Lothar didn't lose sight of him.
When Hans came out of the house he asked Kshin if he still needed my help. Turning teary eyes at the strange man the Gumdramon disguised as a ten year old human boy nodded before saying. "I can't fight FlameWizardmon by myself and I don't know if Lothar's strength alone can compete with a digimon that can turn into a scary bird. Who knows what other magic he knows?" Kshin then struggled not to sob before he said "It looked like he was taking Mandrake toward a part of town with few human occupants. If we move fast enough we can catch up to Lothar."
Kshin then sprinted in the direction that Lothar took off in with Hans and Renamon following. As they ran Kshin noticed that the humans who saw FlameWizardmon were now acting as if a giant black phoenix had never dropped out of the sky. A possible ability to make the humans forget his presence perhaps but that was not important now they had to catch up before it was too late.
Meanwhile FlameWizardmon had flown to a part of town with mostly deserted buildings some of them in retched shape and he decended before tossing Mandrake to the ground in an unceremonious heap shortly before returning to his true form. As Mandrake tried to push himself up FlameWizardmon walked up to Mandrake before grabbing hold of him by the hair and harshly pulling him up to eye level. "What do you want from me? Why are you doing this?" Mandrake asked in a pained hiss causing the FlameWizardmon to cruelly smile.
"I suppose those are fair questions since I plan to bring you to your end right here." The villainous magician said before lighting a match shaped wand in his free hand making it clear to Mandrake that FlameWizardmon planned a gruesome and painful end for him. "You see when I met a certain magical Leomon X, I noticed there was something familiar about his magical energies. It was faint but there was no mistaking that the boy is related to the ancient magician Theron. Then when I sensed you I was able to connect the dots to the fact that you are Theron heir. Before you ask why that is important I will gladly tell you. You see long ago I made my journey to the Village of Magic where your father calls home and met him asking for him to take me on as his apprentice. He agreed but on one condition, the village itself had to accept me and when the very village forbade my entrance Theron refused to train me. So to have revenge on him sense I can't defeat him in battle I will hit him where it hurts the most. His heart."
"You monster. Every life is precious and revenge is not the answer as in the end it will never bring you satisfaction. The village rejected you because of the darkness in your heart no other reason." Mandrake said as he futilely tried to struggle free of the FlameWizardmon's grip. Seeing the flames on the wand increase Mandrake's eyes widened in horror as FlameWizardmon released Mandrake before raising his wand only for a clawed hand to grasp ahold of the evil wizards grip causing FlameWizardmon to turn seeing a Leomon staring him down with a look of fury in his brown eyes. "Lothar!" Mandrake exclaimed sounding relieved as Lothar lifted FlameWizardmon up, the flames dissipating, before flinging the wicked magician as if he weighed no more than a feather.
