A spirit wielder moved back and forth throughout a small apartment as if getting ready to go somewhere before scrambling between various rooms as if something was forgotten. This seemed to be the norm so it wasn't worth stressing about. Later said spirit wielder left the apartment not knowing of the trouble soon to happen and began running down the sidewalk. A message appeared on the spirit wielder's tamernet device that was indeed confusing for sure. It simply read 'Head for the park nearest to you for your skill is needed to restore the balance.' To say the spirit wielder was confused was the understatement of the year that's for sure and was considering ignoring the message as possible spam but with a sigh decided to check the nearby park out as curiosity was driving the person. Picking up the running pace the spirit wielder soon reached the nearby park and saw something puzzling. It was as if a strange anomaly had appeared in the park and since there were no other humans around it made things easier as no crazy lie had to be made up on the spot for a cover up.
Carefully approaching the anomaly nothing happened at first until the spirit wielder was only within a few feet of it. Then the anomaly pulsed momentarily before moving at the spirit wielder pulling the human inside. Soon this person would be involved in craziness most would not expect and how would this person return home? Universe A(Stacy's home universe)-
In one of the living quarters of AEGIS Headquarters Stacy was scrambling around doing everything she had to do including getting her AEGIS uniform on before packing her backpack. Then she fed herself some food before putting on her backpack and Digivice Cradle while putting her D-Tector in it. Moving toward the front door she grabbed her leather jacket placing it on then placed her backpack on right after. Then she grabbed her shoes from where they were always left near the door placing them on before making her way out the door of her room before leaving AEGIS Headquarters. As she made her way down the street she got a curious message from Tamernet by some anonymous person that said 'Head for the park nearest to you for your skill is needed to restore the balance.' She stared at the message utterly perplexed which was understandable. 'What the hell?' she thought as she continued to stare at the message before looking in the direction of the nearest park. Who was this and how did this person have such timing with the message? Shrugging she decided to check it out and walked to the park soon spotting a petite figure laying on the ground unconscious. This spurred her into action causing her to sprint to the figure on the ground to see if the person was alright. Hopefully she didn't find some dead body on the ground.
Kneeling down near the figure she reached out pressing her fingers against the stranger's neck feeling a pulse and it seemed the person was breathing as well but was just creepily still. Though as if reacting to her gentle touch the stranger groaned before beginning to push himself up onto slightly sore knees. Looking around the stranger saw themself's in what looked like the park the anomaly they were in but saw that the anomaly was gone. Before they could think more on the situation Stacy, who was staring at the stranger's back, asked "Hey there. Are you okay?"
Startled despite Stacy's gentle and concerned tone the stranger whirled around revealing an appearance very familiar to Stacy. There was no denying it. Despite the stranger being male it was like looking in a mirror as Stacy was staring at what was a male version of herself.WC: 638/4000

The two of them spent the next few awkward moments staring at each other as if not knowing what to say to one another or maybe their brains short circuited trying to process what they were witnessing. Stacy noticed there were some slight differences in the male's appearance like his hair was slightly longer coming down to his ears and his hair wasn't dyed. His outfit was different to as he wasn't wearing an AEGIS uniform. Instead he was wearing a dark blue shirt and blue jeans but, like her, was wearing a black leather jacket. The jacket however didn't have black leather belts sewn to them with purple Vs either.
Finally, as if his brain rebooted, the stranger asked "Who are you? What is going on here?" His tone was polite but understandably panicked though Stacy didn't blame him for it one bit.
"I wish I could tell you what is going on but I found you unconscious here in the park and I was worried for a moment that you were dead. What is the last thing you remember before waking up and seeing me?" Stacy said trying her hardest not to resort to freaking out herself. She couldn't believe she hadn't lost her marbles by now.
The stranger, now a bit calmer, took in Stacy's words before he tried to figure out how to explain things. Perhaps the direct way was the best approach. "Last thing I remember was getting a strange message that said Head for the park nearest to you for your skill is needed to restore the balance. Then when I got to the park I found some crazy anomaly and while I was investigating it the anomaly began pulsing before I was pulled inside. I must of lost consciousness. Then I woke up I saw you." he explained before he then asked "Why do you and I look almost alike?"
After the stranger's explanation Stacy showed the message to him and said "That's strange. I received a message just like that. See for yourself." The stranger looked and sure enough it was the exact same message he received. "As for the anomaly, you may have been pulled out of your dimension so that could explain why there are two of us now as you seem to be a male version of myself." After another awkward silence Stacy asked "So, is your name also Stacy by any chance?" After receiving a nod in response Stacy scratched her head before she said "This might get confusing."
"No kidding." he said with a chuckle before a random thought came to him. "Maybe one or both of us could go by a code name until we figure out how to get me back home."
"That's not a bad idea. Hmm, how about I go by Ricochet while we are working together to restore the balance the message was talking about." Stacy suggested.
"That's pretty cool. Then since you are using a code name, how about you call me Maverick. I know it sounds simple but.." he said quieting down.
"Sometimes the simple approach works best so there's nothing wrong with that choice for a code name since mine is simple. So Maverick, perhaps we should look around here for some signs of what may be left of that anomaly and perhaps we can figure things out from there. For all we know our mystery person my call us again to point us in the right direction." Stacy said as the two brought out their D-Tectors. So like her Maverick was a spirit wielder but did he also digivolve to Hinookamimon as well? Her train of thought was interrupted by their D-Tectors beeping as they got closer to where the anomaly once was. There were faint traces but there seemed to be no hint of the anomaly opening up once again.
"It was right here but I don't know what we're supposed to do from here though." Maverick said looking at his D-Tector while scrunching his eyebrows in deep thought. "Now what?" he then asked out loud to no one in particular.

Then a beep caught the pairs' attention alerting them to a message over tamernet causing them both to look at the message and it was a bigger one than the single sentence both had recieved from before. Yet the message still had no voice included with it still.
'Now that you two have found each other it's now the time to cease being vague. I need you both to head for the Digital World to use your combined powers to infiltrate a dark fortress. Only by defeating the lord of said fortress can our guest from another dimension be returned home. I was the reason for the anomaly in the first place and I used the last of my power to bring the man from his dimension. Until the lord of the fortress is defeated I cannot regain my true strength to send him home. With this message is a map and the Trailmon route you'll need to take. If you decide to help me I wish the pair of you good luck.'
After the message ceased a link to the map and the info for Trailmon they needed appeared. After a moment of silence Stacy B or Maverick for the sake of the crossover looked to Stacy and said "Looks like I got the information you and I needed. Not that I'm complaining of course. So looks like we'll be heading to the Digital World to fight some dark lord. Ricochet, if this guy is in the Dark Area this would be all too obvious."
"Another thing that worries me is the messenger. Maybe I'm a bit cynical and doubtful of the messenger's intentions so until otherwise I think we should be on guard, Maverick." she said rereading the message. Maybe it was cynicism or it could of been wisdom most didn't think she had. So she would be on high alert in this job just to be safe.
"Being cautious sounds like a far better idea than rushing head on since we don't know what we'll be dealing with when we get there." Maverick said nodding his head in agreement.
So since the two seemed in agreement about being cautious the two began heading for the train station. Upon reaching where the Trailmon were while following the instructions the messenger left they soon made their way to a Trailmon Mole and boarded before quickly finding seats and sitting in silence the two of them soon loosing themselves in their thoughts and not wanting to disturb each other while alternating looking out the window and looking back at the instructions on Tamernet realizing this ride was not to the Dark Area but somewhere in the Southern Tropics. Seemed an unusual place for a dark lord to take up residence but who were they to question the logic of things involving the Digital World. After all in that place at times weird appeared to be what was normal so odd things like this stopped fazing Stacy as she was used to weirder by now and had a feeling her male counterpart was similar to her in that regard. Now a random thought came to mind though it wasn't all that important for the situation at hand as it was just simple curiosity. If Maverick was male in his dimension what other things were different other than him not appearing to be with AEGIS? Also what about him was the same?

The wandering thoughts of both spirit wielders screeched to a halt after they had been riding for a few hours as the Trailmon announced it was coming to a stop soon. Both of the thirty nine year olds double checked the directions and, yup it was indeed their stop. Rising to their feet the pair of them thanked the Trailmon for giving them a ride before they departed. Once they were clear of the tracks they looked at the instructions seeing they had a bit of walking to do still.
Stacy brought out her D-Tector holding it out and bringing forth her motorcycle intending to use it to cover ground much faster while saving their strength for what might be a difficult potential upcoming battle. Reaching into her sidecar she held out a helmet before holding it out to her male counterpart. "Here, Maverick, put this on." she said and at his questioning look she brought out a second helmet from within the sidecar. "What?" she asked with a confused look on her face in regards to Maverick's confusion.
His confusion cleared up in his face before he said "It's nothing, Ricochet. I was just worried for a moment that you didn't have a second helmet stored in the sidecar of your motorcycle. I guess I was wrong about that."
She chuckled in response as she put on the helmet in her hands before she said "I don't blame you for wondering if I had a spare helmet. I know I wouldn't want to ride with someone who was driving a motorcycle without enough helmets for everyone. That and who want to witness human brains splattered on the ground because someone is too stupid to wear a helmet?"
Maverick nodded before he said "I guess in many ways we are alike so this job may not be so bad." He then placed the helmet in his hands on his head before climbing into the sidecar while Stacy climbed aboard the motorcycle taking hold of the handlebars. A short time later she had the bike started and they were zipping in the direction the instructions had indicated.
What would of been an hour walk at a fast pace for a human in excellent shape was covered in a much shorter time since the pair were on a motorized vehicle. Soon the sight of a creepy forbidding fortress with three floors surrounded by a tall sturdy wall was visible on a cliff side overlooking the ocean of all places. Stopping the motorcycle Stacy double checked the instructions and, sure enough, this was the very place. Stacy climbed off the bike as Maverick climbed out of the sidecar. Both spirit wielders pulled off the helmets they were wearing and set them in the sidecar before Stacy drew her motorcycle back into her D-Tector.
"Now we have to come up with the best approach to get inside. Punching our way through would likely not end well. If there is a large force of guards then we would run out of strength really fast before we get to this lord." Stacy said while staring at the fortress with a look of intense thought on her face.
"I agree with stealth since we don't know how strong this lord is and if we can catch this digimon off guard with a stealthy infiltration then we can maybe see who we're up against so we can best form a plan of attack." Maverick said in agreement. So then the pair brought out their D-Tectors as it would make sneaking a bit easier especially if the plan fell apart. Luckily for them the very area was dark as night despite the fact the sun hadn't gone down. "Just so you know, Ricochet, I can see pretty well in the dark if you can't."
"I can see pretty well in the dark and even better as a digimon so don't you worry about that. Let's go." Stacy said catching notice out of the corner of her eye that her male counterpart was right handed instead of left handed like she was.

It was now showtime as fractal coding appeared around Stacy A's(Ricochet/Universe A Stacy) right hand while fractal coding appeared on Maverick's left before they ran there hands over the top of their D-Tectors. "Execute! Human Spirit Evolution!" Stacy said her body becoming engulfed in a gentle warm holy light before a wolf howl was heard.
"Execute! Human Spirit Evolution!" Maverick said at the same time before also becoming engulfed in the same gentle holy light the sound of a wolf howl and all.
It was when the light cleared and the champion forms appeared with both of them saying "Blitzwolfmon!" was where things got really interesting as Stacy was now in her familiar champion form of her holy line but Maverick's version of Blitzwolfmon was very different and very familiar too her as well. Unlike the light weight but strong armor of her champion form Maverick's version had heavier armor with a cannon on each arm but the color theme and golden claws on his hands and feet were the same. She had taken this form after encountering an anomaly where she digivolved into this and it was quite a surprise when it happened to her and it took longer for her to adjust since she was used to the speedier form she normally had.
Maverick was looking at her form as if he recognized it with a confused look on his face. Like his female counterpart he had encountered an anomaly when he had taken on that very form. Seeing his look of confusion Ricochet asked "Something wrong?"
Nothing wrong exactly it's just I know that form." Maverick replied and at Ricochet's cock of the head he then explained how he and his brothers ended up in an anomaly which were a near mirror version of what happened to her.
"Sounds like what happened to me some time ago. Only I digivolved into your version of Blitzwolfmon." Ricochet said before she continued "Hmm. Maverick, I think that anomaly was interdimensional in nature. How else would we have switched our champion forms."
"I was thinking the same thing too, Ricochet. So our dimensions seemed to accidentally converge. That explains why it was so awkward to adjust to utilizing a much faster form than I was used to." Maverick said before he chuckled. "Explains why I nearly ran into a tree. I'm just relieved both Chris and Tim were able to help me out and between the three of us we pulled through somehow."
"Yeah they have been very helpful to me too. Even though they can be a pain at times." Ricochet said with a chuckle.
Maverick chuckled in return before he nodded and said "That they are but I think that is normal for younger brothers to be somewhat annoying to older siblings."
"True enough that." Ricochet said before focusing her gaze back on the dark fortress. She then said "Let's get this job done. Don't worry I won't leave you in the dust." With that the pair of holy digimon snuck into the darkness towards the dark fortress.

The duo jogged into the darkness as if it didn't bother the pair one bit as it seemed as if they could see in the near pure darkness and were doing it more effectively than most of the patrolling champion level guards. The guards that could see in the dark were able to be snuck around by hiding behind large boulders from time to time. Soon both spirit wielders were standing near the wall and looking up seeing a walkway with guards patrolling on top the wall itself. However while the walkway made the wall look more imposing it impaired the guards the ability to see underneath what was standing beneath it.
Ricochet and Maverick looked at one another grinning at design faux pas before their eyes. Perhaps this dark lord was extremely arrogant if he relied on such a terrible aesthetic plan for such a walkway. Then they used their golden claws to grip the wall climbing it like a monkey while pressing their bodies tightly to the wall so the patrols wouldn't be able to see them at all. Though Maverick's version of Blitzwolfmon was heavier than Ricochet's, he didn't seem to have any trouble keeping up but Ricochet herself was climbing at a slower pace so as not to leave her companion behind as it was clear to her that his form wasn't built for speed. It was built more toward power and defense compared to her so it was likely his thicker armor would make her resilient armor seem like wet paper by comparison.
Little by little the pair made their way silently up the wall until they were underneath the walkway. Ricochet and Maverick listened carefully with their wolf like hearing before Ricochet sunk her claws into the wood dangling before nodding and flipping herself so she could land silently onto the walkway. Maverick followed her lead and soon they flipped off the walkway climbing down the wall and inside the fortress. Now inside their movements were very precise and careful using the odd thing on the ground for cover as they made their way to the main building before sneaking inside.
Upon getting inside and not liking the lacking cover in the narrow hallways Ricochet elbowed Maverick before pointing her claw up toward the ceiling. Maverick nodded with a sigh as it looked like it was going to be one of those days for both of them were upper body strength would be needed over lower body strength. Looking at the walls before looking back up at the support beams she realized sneaking around would be simpler than she thought if such beams were everywhere with not a guard patrolling them. Lucky them.
Ricochet leapt for one of the walls before springing of to another in a feat that would make some superheroes or acrobats jealous of her as she bounced between the two walls before reaching and climbing onto the beams to wait for Maverick. Maverick followed suit though not as fast as he climbed one of the walls like they did the outside wall of the fortress. When they were both on the beams they realized it was just in time as a pair of Veedramon walked down the hall past them. That was indeed close.
As Maverick sat on the beam next to Ricochet catching his breath from the extra climbing he had to do he saw her do the same. Looking at her he said "I knew you were faster than me as a digimon but, damn, I had no idea you were so nimble, Ricochet. That was a stunt worthy of superheroes like Spiderman or the Daredevil when it comes to agility."
"The crazy thing about that stunt is that my instincts nudged me into doing that. I mean I was used to things like leaping decent distances and climbing but that was a new trick for even me. I must say even I was amazed." Ricochet said stretching out her legs but still giving Maverick plenty of space without making him scoot back. "It's like new tricks keep coming out of the woodwork for me. Weird I know."
After sitting there resting for a bit more the pair rose to their feet walking gracefully along the beams like gymnasts which Ricochet had to admit was impressive to see Maverick do with his heavier armor. As they made their way along they soon entered a room with a cage on the floor below them. Kneeling down on the beams for the best look they could get they saw what appeared to be some kind of angel like digimon but dainty like a fairy with long ear like structures on its head. "Cute little digimon." Ricochet said looking the child sized digimon over.
"Looks like a Luminamon." Maverick said making it clear he had seen such a species before so Ricochet didn't question it.
Then the sounds of footsteps heading for their room caught their attention as a robed figure with glowing eyes entered the room. The power of both Luminamon and this stranger felt like that of ultimate level digimon. The robed figure made both spirit wielder uneasy but they stayed quiet as the figure leaned down toward Luminamon and said "I wouldn't bet on you getting free any time soon never mind getting this place back, Luminamon. This place is mine now. There is no way any potential help you could of called could get in."
"Your ignorance will be your undoing. Ever since you came to this dimension from what ever hole you crawled out of Phelesmon, you have caused a disruption in the natural balance around here. So I called forth a hero from your dimension to aid a hero from this one to restore the balance you disrupted." Luminamon said earning an eruption of laughter in response.
"If you think I believe you have enough power to do such a thing I would be a fool." Phelesmon said as he turned on his heel and left the room.
"Your the fool, Phelesmon. You seemed to forget I was a mega before this cage drained my strength." Luminamon said as Phelesmon left the room laughing. Luminamon couldn't believe this monster was able to trick him and imprison him in that cell that had drained a good portion of his strength but when the heroes decended on Phelesmon, Luminamon would be the one who had the last laugh.
Unknown to Phelesmon and Luminamon both Ricochet and Maverick had heard the entire exchange and were surprised. So Phelesmon was from Maverick's dimension and Luminamon was some mega digimon that might of been tricked somehow into that cage and used the last of his strength to summon Maverick from his dimension. Did that mean Luminamon was to be trusted. Maybe. Neither spirit wielder were foolish enough to trust Luminamon instantly despite what they had seen. Sure it sounded like they were overly suspicious but neither were nearly as naive as some others thought they were.
As for Phelesmon, it was time to bring that creep down so they followed the caped fiend while staying on the beams softly jumping from one to another as they followed Phelesmon from room to room. When Phelesmon reached a room with a throne Ricochet scoffed at the arrogance that ultimate digimon had before nodding to Maverick before grabbing him and leapt from the beam with the two of them using Phelesmon to break their fall before scrambling away from the caped digimon leaving claw marks in the cloth.
Seeing the claw marks left by two unfamiliar champion form digimon, Phelesmon grabbed his cape and threw it off of him revealing his true appearance of what looked like an aristocratic boogie man. As funny as a concept that was on paper Phelesmon was an ultimate and not to be taken lightly.
Little did Phelesmon know both spirit wielders could make it to ultimate themselves and both Ricochet and Maverick began to glow with the light of digivolution. Then at the same time they said "Slide evolution! LupineCerberusmon!"
Now Phelesmon was staring down two ultimate level holy digimon instead of two champions. Ricochet took a look at Maverick with her center head while the other two kept an eye on Phelesmon. Maverick's version of LupineCerberusmon was quite a sight compared to her. Most of Maverick's version of LupineCerberusmon was covered in golden armor except for his three heads and his tail. The only other armor was golden helmets on all three heads matching the armor on his body. That was not all that was different, however, as there were two large cannons one being on each side of his body. Ricochet had a feeling what the cannons were for not to mention the thick armor meaning this version of LupineCerberusmon was a three headed walking tank.
It seemed Phelesmon realized he was in deep at the sight of the two ten foot ultimates and fluttered his wings thinking he could use his agility to just fly away to a safe range and pick them off one by one. That was a surprising nope for him though as Ricochet proved her version of LupineCerberusmon was more agile than the demon thought as she pounced knocking him out of the air and pinning him to the floor. The wind was knocked out of Phelesmon but he swung his pitchfork trying to stab Ricochet. Not happening it seemed as Maverick stepped forward snatching it with his middle head holding it in place.
Ricochet began glowing with holy power and when Maverick saw this he grinned while still holding Phelesmon's pitchfork while glowing as well. Phelesmon knew he was doomed as it seemed as if two point blank holy moves were heading his way and he used his extra strength to alter the fortress they were in. This had now proved to be a dumb move. If he were a mega before this he would of had a chance to evade. "Zodiac Burst!" Ricochet and Maverick said as the holy power took the form of two glowing golden dogs making contact with Phelesmon.
As Phelesmon's data scattered neither spirit wielder showed interest in the data as they dedigivolved to their human forms. After they did so the very fortress warped for several moments before transforming into what looked like some kind of temple. A clapping sound caught their attention as a Seraphimon stepped into the room. "Well done you two." he said in a voice familiar with the two of them.
"Wait your...?"
"Luminamon?"
"I was until the temple was restored to its original state and one of my groundskeepers turned enslaved guards freed me allowing me to regain my strength and digivolve." Seraphimon said with a warm tone as he calmly approached the two humans. "This temple is special as it allows me to maintain the balance between the dimensions." he explained as a small portal opened drawing in Phelesmon's data before he said "I think it's best that Phelesmon's data is sent back to where it belongs." Then he turned to Maverick. "I can send you back home too. That is if you are ready of course. Don't worry the trip will be smooth as my power is now stable."
"One moment please." Maverick said and Seraphimon nodded as he opened the portal wider so a human could wak through it. Maverick then turned to face Ricochet and said "I guess this is the end of this adventure. Thanks for helping me out. I sure as hell didn't know if I would of been able to solve this issue on my own."
"It's no problem. I would of helped you out even if you weren't a male version of myself from another dimension and I'm sure you would of helped anyone sucked into your dimension as well." Ricochet said holding out her hand and the two exchanged a handshake with a smile.
Maverick turned back to Seraphimon and said "Now I'm ready. Thanks for holding open the portal." Maverick then headed to the portal back to his dimension and before he disappeared he turned back to Ricochet and waved goodbye which Ricochet did in return.
Now that Stacy was the only human left Seraphimon left the room leaving her alone and she said "Good luck, Maverick."
