Several weeks passed since Gigabite cafe opened its doors and Hans shortly joined as a helper of the head chief first. As he liked to work hard and with passion, it didn't take too long to make this place one of the popular places where digimons like to meet. Along with Tori, the owner of the place, the menu of the cafe expanded up to twenty items and Hans was insisting on adding more dishes and drinks. That's because the Piyomon was good at dealing with suppliers, so fresh ingredients were always available. But as the place started to become more known among the citizens of southern Rosewood, more hands were needed, and so the cafe's staff expanded as well. It had now four cooks with Hans as the chief cook and Tori shifted to managing supplies. Unfortunately, cooking wasn't what Walzman wanted to do for all his life, this Wonderland including. He loved to cook, but not every day. He just needed some job in Rosewood, that's all.
And this is how he discovered the AEGIS and manage to get an audience of one of its members. He didn't know too much about those guys, but he knew he need to be among them. It made him feel like the first day of his military service - a bit nervous, yet excited for the great opportunity. It feels like he's going to be interviewed to the CIA or similar organizations in the real world. But Colin won't notice it as Hans was good at hiding his emotions. Besides, Renamon next to him had a soothering effect. He wasn't even dressed like a military. Because the only thing Colin will be needed is answers and the appearance won't have any effect on it. At least Hans hoped so. And the only thing the AEGIS representative will see, is a guy on the cafe terrace behind a wooden table, slowly sipping an orange juice. Which one Walzman made on his own.

So then, they were to meet at a cafe.
Colin, Luke and Bellamy disembarked from the express Trailmon they had taken from Terminus City to arrive at the agreed time. If they had been in something of a hurry, they would have arrived via their airship mercenary digimon Daedalus, but seeing as there was no rush today, they simply took the train. Colin personally liked travelling like this. Just the feeling of motion, with dozens of other individuals travelling in the same direction.
And as an AEGIS officer it allowed him to keep in touch with the sentiments of the digital world. It was surprising how much information he could get out of fellow passengers in exchange for gifts from the refreshment carriage. More valuable was rumours and hearsay about events around the digital world, but equally valuable to him was the personal stories of humans and digimon aboard. Of course he would back off from those that didn’t want to be disturbed, but there were usually enough friendly digimon that travelled these lines that wanted to ease their boredom by telling their story to an interested ear. And Colin had gathered a lot of interesting information in the journey.
With that in mind, Colin looked at his D-Terminal for the message telling the directions he would need to take for the cafe.
“Are you sure about the credentials of this guy, Bells?” he asked his furred Impmon partner quietly as they neared it.
“Well, on paper he seems okay.” Bellamy answered. “Can’t say I’d endorse him until I meet him of course.”
“Fair enough.” Bellamy’s twin brother Luke shrugged. “No other way to find out other than to meet up.”
Eventually they found the cafe and entered. And according to the instructions in his D-Terminal, he’d meet a lone human on the cafe terrace. Colin saw him quickly and approached.
The Japanese-American young man was rather taller than average, standing at 6’2”, but was somewhat thin and pale, so he wasn’t very intimidating, other than his red eyes. Still, he conducted himself politely.
“Hello there. I’m sorry to disturb you, but I’m here to talk to someone named Walzman in regards to AEGIS. Are you the person I’m meant to be meeting?” he asked.

"Hi. Yes, that's me. And you must be Colin, right? Call me Hans, since Walzman is my last name.". The Swiss guy responded standing, realizing that back in Tamernet he was talking with a digimon all the time. That meant Hans need to represent himself one more time. Which is was absolutely fine. "I'm in charge in this cafe, feel free to order how much you want.".
But it was a busy day today. Inside and outside there were around fifteen digimons in total and Hans was super happy that he and Tori managed to hire enough waiters and cooks. They even started to product their own bakery, smell of which can be sensed outside. However, the process of passing knowledge to junior staff is still ongoing but the outcome is already pleasing seeing how popularity of this place is rising. But even though Hans wasn't cooking anymore, rather guiding and resolving minor conflicts, he still wanted to finish the transfer. It doesn't take too much time, so this shouldn't affect his work in AEGIS.
"Sir, we're slowly running out of tables for visitors. Any input?". A Gatomon approached Hans asked. She was a supervisor of waiters and frequently was consulting with the human.
"Open the second floor, but only the nearest section. Also, please don't disturb me for the next hour.". The tamer answered and the feline digimon retired, bowing a little before she ran away to do as Hans said. Then he added shortly after. "My apologies, we didn't expect so many customers today. A week ago this place was barely noticeable.".

Colin picked up Hans’s accent at once as he spoke. It definitely wasn’t something he had heard before, a bit of a mix of French and German, but that made sense, given what he knew of Switzerland.
"Ah, good, you're the person we're looking for." Colin said, then offered a handshake. "I'm Colin James, deputy commander of AEGIS. Nice to meet you."
Luke then introduced himself. “Hello, I’m Colin’s partner Luke. Nice to meet you.” the Elecmon said, then nudged his brother to do the same.
“Ah, heya, I’m Bellamy. Good to meet you too.” the Impmon added. It seemed that Hans owned this Rosewood cafe, and had established something of a respectable business here. This was something that impressed Colin, and made him think that having someone like this aboard in AEGIS would be advantageous.
Hans then instructed a Gatomon employee to open up the second floor, and that they shouldn’t be disturbed in their meeting. Colin appreciated that, he didn’t really want too many interruptions or people overhearing.
“You got this place up to this activity in a week?” Bellamy asked, impressed. “That’s pretty incredible. My son’s a chef too, he’d be interested to hear how you did it.”
Colin was a little surprised at this. He knew Bellamy had a son, Max the Impmon-X, but so far Max hadn’t really sought out contact with his father. Maybe they were talking on tamernet? Either way, it wasn’t his business to know that sort of information.
“So yeah, cutting down to the chase, we hear that you’d like to join AEGIS.” Colin said. “My partner Bellamy’s sounded you out and seems satisfied, so we’d like to have a bit of a chat to see how you’d fit in with us, if that’s alright with you.”
If all was fine, Colin prompted his first questions. “Could you please tell us a bit about yourself first?” he asked. “How did you end up in the digital world, and what do you know about digimon so far?”

"Likewise, glad to meet you all as well. That's Kitsune, my partner.". Hans responded, shaking Colin's hand quite firmly (as for one who was physically strong) and briefly pointed to the fox sitting aside. Then he took a seat and thought for a moment how to start. He has a lot to tell, most of which is his background prior to the Digital World, so he needed to make it compact, yet to not miss anything important. As a deputy commander of AEGIS, Colin might have a tight schedule, so that's needed to consider as well. Something that service in the army teaches you very well. "Okay, so I'm from Switzerland. Luxury watches, banks, one of the best chocolate and cheese in the world. I think I can omit Swiss history for now. As you may know, I'm military, with one year of service and the ability to survive a nuclear winter if that ever happens. Never participated in any armed conflicts, but I think it's good since my hands were always busy. As for how I got into this Wonderland is related to my hobby. Japan is known for ninjas, so that's why I'm here. Part of that is that my mom works at the Swiss embassy in Tokyo, so I was able to see her in four years since she moved there. After arriving, I've rent a room in a hotel, ordered some food and the last thing I remember is an ostrich-sized Easter egg. Who, essentially, turned to be my partner... We had a bunch of adventures since then, so I'm a bit familiar with this world and things related to digimons. Even got some friends here. So in short, that's all as each of my and Kitsune's trips is a story on its own. But feel free to ask about details.".
"I think Hans forgot to mention one thing - he's a tamer. Thought you may want to know that.". Kitsune added, finally joining the conversation not just as a listener. She wasn't sure why exactly Hans brought her here as she thought its purely human matters, but since Walzman was insisting it's important, she agreed with no questions. Mostly because, as her master said once, she performs a role of a mascot and that helps him with self-confidence, even though Walzman would say that's there is a different reason for that. It's considered to be a flaw for a military, but in Hans' situation, it's acceptable. At least until both of them spend here at least a year.
