"This is the spot right?" A lone Sistermon Ciel asked as she slowly walked around a small village, it was pretty far into the volcanic island. Even if the Volcano hadn't be active lately she had to admit it did make her a bit nervous but she still walked onward with nothing but her Katana in her right hand. The few digimon she did see seemed to retreat just as fast as they saw her, were they afraid of her or just strangers in general? Eventually she came to a much larger hut with what she assumed held the digimon she was looking for, taking a deep breath in Ciel walked up to the door and knocked on it.
"Who's there?" A gruff older voice called out from inside the hut, they made no movement to open the door. Clearing her thoughts for a moment before responding Ciel looked at the door before telling them.
"My name is Ciel, I heard there was a powerful Agunimon in this village." She said calmly and clearly, then there was nothing for a few moments except for what she could swear was a small laugh coming from the digimon inside the hut.
"And what do you wish of this Agunimon, to slay him? Seeking revenge for his faults? Or simply for glory." His voice sounded tired, as if he had asked this question so many times before. Without hesitating for a moment Ciel answered.
"Neither, I wish for him to train me." no words were spoken after she said that, the words lingering in the air for a short while, Ciel waited patiently clutching her sword at her side as the door slowly opened revealing the tired looking digimon inside, sure enough it was an Agunimon standing before her.
The taller digimon gave Ciel a quick look over for a few moment, as if analyzing the Sistermon before speaking. "I've little knowledge with a sword or magic young one, there are far better teachers of the blade then I." It made sense, Ciel supposed she hadn't be specific enough.
"No, I want you to show me how to fight. Like an Agunimon." As she said this Ciel threw her blade over her shoulder a small rope catching on her shoulder as she looked back up at the Agunimon.
He stared at her for a few moments before letting out a small genuine laugh. "And why would you want to do something like that? Thinking about trying to evolve into one." He sounded a bit confused as to just why she'd want that. Ciel looked down for a moment at the ground before continuing.
"No, my entire life since I've been at the village of beginnings I've always been fascinated as to how other digimon fight, how they use their moves down to the base structure. So I'm on a journey as of now to learn as many styles of combat as I can." Ciel let out a small laugh looking a bit downcast. "You are not the first one I've asked, others have turned me down saying I've no place learning how they fight. Either that or simply telling me to stick with my sword." Which would explain why she came all the way out here.
"Then why here? Surely you know the rumors. A wild beast that struck everything in its path, mindlessly attacking everything that it considered an opponent. Why me?" Now the Agunimon was fully out the door looking at Ciel in the eyes, waiting for her answer.
"I pay no attention to rumors, All I know is a digimon that used to fight like a beast that learned control, that confined himself to a village and serves as its chief and protector. THAT is the Agunimon I've come to ask." Her gaze remained unflinching, as did the Agunimon before he smiled and stood out of the way of Ciel.
"Very well then, I shall show you what I know. I won't go easy on you just because you're a different type of digimon, Ciel." Ciel gave a small nod as she walked inside the hut, despite her calm look on her face within she was as giddy as could be, finally being able to learn how how another fights.
The training was long and hard, Ciel wasn't able to just start outright, learning how to be calm and meditate first was the Agunimon's first step, then came combat and while she gained many burns on her hands from training she gained even more knowledge, after a long while she got the basics down and started working with the Agunimon to create something, a pair of gauntlets similar to his own. After a few eyebrow accidents from creating such a weapon it was finally done, the first ever to her knowledge. With that her ability to fight like an Agunimon skyrocketed until one day.
"Ciel, I'm afraid I've run out of things to teach you." The old digimon said as he watched her shadowboxing the air, punching and pulling the level of the gauntlets causing fire to shoot out.
"I was going to say yeah, I think I've learned all I can. Now all that's left is practice and mastery." Ciel had a smile but her words has a sad tone to them. "To be honest part of me doesn't want to leave, you've been so nice to me and all the villagers. I" Before she could continue though the Agunimon placed his hand on her shoulder with a smile.
"Ciel, you are destined for far more then a little village near a volcano, saying goodbye will always hurt no matter what. So I won't say goodbye, just. See you later." As he said that he pulled the Sistermon into a small hug, surprising her but eventually she gave one back.
Afterwards she set off to leave the village, with many digimon waving behind her, she waved back with a smile as she set off towards the next digimon she could learn from.
Ciel's let out a small sigh as she dragged her feet through the hot desert sand, she had been walking for a while and started to believe that she was mistaken about where she was going. Pulling out her map she seemed to be going in the right way, maybe she was just losing track of time. Looking at the map she saw her gauntlets still on her hands from Agunimon, staring at them for a moment renewed her vigor putting the map away and walking forward with more of a spring in her step.
Eventually after a bit she came to where she was going, a village within the desert. it was a lot larger then the smaller one she had visited before but still nothing too large to write home about. Walking through the town she saw quite a variety of digimon wandering around, a few taking note of her gauntlets and her sword talking amongst themselves till eventually one digimon stepped forward, a Deputymon walking right up to Ciel with what seemed to be a bottle of water. "You just get in from the desert miss? I reckon you must be thirsty?"
Ciel nodded muttering a thank you as she took it and started to drink, but her instincts made her pause for a moment. "Ayy, guess you're quite smart little lady. Don't worry there's nothing in there that I wouldn't drink as well, if ya wanna test?" He seemed to pick up on her worry.
Ciel shook her head no before deciding to take a drink, it was definitely what she needed after walking through the desert for so long. "Thank you, I'm sorry to be suspicious it's more of a force of habit then anything." Thankfully nothing seemed to happen to her so that was good.
"Naw, you're right to be alert, you adventuring types must run into a heap of trouble. What brings you our way though miss..."
"Ciel, my name is Ciel."
"Miss Ciel, so out adventuring for a spell? Those are some fancy gauntlets you have there tho." He seemed intrigued about them, which made sense to Ciel they did stand out quite a bit with her normal clothes.
"Actually what brings me here is you, I'm on a journey to learn as many different fighting styles as I can. These Gauntlets I made with another digimon, an Agunimon up by spears of megiddo." The Deputymon's eyes seemed to go a bit wide, both with the coming to see him and where she was before.
"That is mighty impressive, but I must ask why me? Surely there's enough sharp shooters around you could learn from. I can't think of a reason to come to our little town in the middle of nowhere." That was true, heck Ciel could probably learn how to shoot from another Sistermon, A Noir if she could find one. But...
"I heard you serve as the only law enforcement of this town, do it so well that no criminals even think about robbing anywhere around here. I want to see those skills for myself." It didn't seem like Ciel was going to take a no for an answer, crossing his arms the Deputymon thought for a moment before nodding.
"Alright then, I can't promise I'll be the best teacher but I'll show you want I know, you'll be the best dang sharpshooter this side of the digital world when we're done with ya!" Throwing his fist in the air he seemed pumped about this, making Ciel feel a bit excited as well.
The training was quite long, Ciel mostly followed him on his patrols around the town learning how to fire a gun when there wasn't much to do. It took her quite some time to learn how to shoot properly, even more so to hit the targets in the center. Slowly but surely though Ciel started to get it all down, started to learn how to fire more and more and aim better and better till eventually she could even aim with her eyes closed....
But was only allowed to do that once before Deputymon banned her from doing that ever again.
"Well dang Ciel, seems like you've become a better shot then me!" Looking over a large array of targets it was easily seen that Ciel had hit more targets then him, not too many just one or two more well placed shots but even still it was a victory.
Ciel smiled spinning her gun around in her hand and blowing the smoke off the top. "You did say you'd make me the best sharpshooter, guess you're just a good teacher." She let out a small laugh, which the Deputymon followed up with laughing himself.
"Suppose that means you're moving on to greener pastures huh?" Ciel looked away, her smile slightly fading as she did. "It's no worries Ciel, you have a heart that's meant for adventure, me I'm just happy here in my little town. Tell ya what that gun you're holding? Keep it."
Ciel looked a bit shocked looking up at the gun then back at Deputymon. "Are you sure? Don't you need it?" She didn't want to take something he needed, Deputymon simply waved her off however.
"Nah, I can always get another one made. I want you to keep it, a parting gift from me to you." He didn't seem like he'd be argued outta this, looking down at the gun in her hands Ciel nodded holstering it at her side.
"Thank you, I appreciate all of this. I'll be sure to visit, I promise." With that Ciel gave the Deputymon a handshake and walked away from the small town, waving goodbye to some of the digimon she knew as she set off for another teacher.
Ciel slowly walked through the trees of a rather large forest, server woods if she remembered correctly. Holding her sword at her side she looked around, listening closely to make sure that nothing got the drop on her. Hand at her side ready to pull out her gun at a moments notice Ciel kept walking around the forest before hearing a noise that made her freeze in place.
Looking around through the trees Ciel kept her hand on her gun and sword at the ready before she heard something lunge from the shadows towards her, standing with her blade drawn catching the digimon's own claws with her sword and pointing her gun square at its face. It was a WereGarurumon X staring at her. Holding her sword in place he stared at the gun and Ciel for a small while before slowly backing off.
"You are no ordinary traveler, you tread too closely to my home. I ask that you leave at once." As he said that the Digimon showed his claws to Ciel for a moment staring her down. "Or else I shall be forced to make you leave, the choice is yours stranger." He stared Ciel down for a few moment, but she didn't seem to flinch at all. Lowering her sword and putting her gun back surprised the WereGarurumon X.
"I'm not here for your home or a fight, from what I've heard you've drove away every digimon that's come you way, knocking them down and forcing them to retreat. Am I right?" She wanted to make sure this was the digimon she was looking for, after a few moments he nodded never taking his eyes off Ciel.
"Yes, those who tread near my home I make leave, some do not wish to leave peacefully and others wish very much to leave in pieces, I have avoided the latter as much as I can however." The tone in his voice sounded confused, wondering where Ciel was going with this line of questioning.
Ciel smiled before taking a small step forward to the digimon causing him to tense up again, but she stopped and backed off once she noticed this. "My name is Ciel, I'm a wanderer who's studying as many different digimon's fighting styles as I can. I've come to ask for you to teach me how to fight like you."
The WereGarurumon X crossed his arms for a moment, thinking about something before speaking. "Ciel, yes I've heard of you. The wandering Sistermon, master of many styles." Ciel looked a bit embarrassed to be recognized like this, scratching the side of her head. "Hmm, very well I shall train you. Under one condition though, you must assist me in defending my home. Many digimon believe that living out here alone makes one an easy target. I aim to show them that is not true in the slightest."
Ciel nodded finding that an agreeable situation, the training was a lot harder then what she was used to with her other teachers, this one didn't hold back while she was still learning! Hand to hand and leg to leg Ciel had to fight as hard as she could just to match him in the beginning! Slowly though overtime Ciel could feel herself getting stronger and stronger, her movements getting faster and faster till eventually somehow she seemed to overcome her champion level without evolving, becoming as strong and as fast as WereGarurumon X without tapping into a higher evolution.
One day though while she was training he left, leaving her in charge of his home for a few days. They were mostly quiet with her training right near the house scaring off any digimon that would come by with her strong attacks. Eventually her came back, with him were a pair of gauntlets and leggings similar to his own, made to be a perfect match for Ciel. Putting them on they were heavier then she anticipated. it took her a small while to get used to them as well but eventually she started moving as fast with the gauntlets as she did without, eventually one day outright beating her teacher in combat.
"Hnng, that stings. Fine, Ciel you're the winner." Weregarurumon X said rubbing his shoulder as he stood up. "Heh, this is a new feeling. Pride in another, you did great Ciel." He walked over patting the Sistermon on the shoulder.
Ciel was tired and sweaty but looked up at him with a smile. "Thank you so much, for all this. I've gotten so much stronger." With her fists clenched she had a large smile on her face. "But I suppose there isn't much more for me to learn from you is there?" Her smile slowly faded, this was always the hardest part. Saying goodbye.
"Sadly yes, Ciel. Though I cannot teach you anymore please, feel free to come here whenever you wish. You and whatever family you may gain in later years will always be welcome here." That caused Ciel's face to turn crimson, backing off a bit waving her hands in the air.
"W-Woah, Hey I'm not ready for kids yet!" Her teacher let out a loud laugh as he patted her on the shoulder, slowly calming her down. Eventually though Ciel did leave him behind, with a wave and a smile she set off towards something new. Though his words did linger in her mind for a while. "Hmm, I suppose kids wouldn't be that bad, but I don't think I'm ready in the slightest." With a shrug Ciel walked onwards.
The valley of the dragon's, Ciel walked around carefully in this large area. It looked like a battle had taken place where she was standing, in fact all around the area it looked like battles had be waged and fought. Holding her sword at the ready with her Kaiser Nail's equipped Ciel looked around the area before something seemed to spot her, it was a dragon digimon! A Growlmon Shouting at her the digimon ran towards Ciel, arming an attack, ready for a fight.
Ciel moved past the digimon slashing at him faster then he could react knocking the digimon down and into the ground. Sadly though more and more dragon digimon seemed to show up afterwards! With a grunt of annoyance Ciel readied her blade.
Ciel had fought through quite the amount of dragon digimon, standing with her hands on her knees and her sword holding herself up as multiple champion level digimon were around her unconscious. Looking up she saw more coming towards her so with a grunt she picked her sword back up and readied the blade.
"That's enough!" A female voice came from behind the dragon digimon walking outward towards Ciel, she didn't lower her sword but didn't seem like she was going to attack her either. "You've knocked out quite a few of my men, this is our territory. Why have you come here?" The voice was revealed to be a RizeGreymon X looking down at the short Ciel waiting for her answer.
"My name is Ciel, I came looking for the leader of this village in order to ask them to train me!" Ciel wasn't leaving without meeting them, though her answer caused the Ultimate level digimon to chuckle.
"You have grit, I admire that. I am the leader of this clan, I suppose you've proven your worth enough by now." She looked down at the champion level digimon that had been knocked out around Ciel, one of her men seemed to want to argue with her but a look shot that down. "So far this Sistermon as displayed more fighting spirit then some dragon's I've known, at the very least I shall humor here to see if she is able to learn from me!" With that the RizeGreymon X motioned for Ciel to follow her, which the Sistermon did walking behind the digimon.
The training was similar to her training with WereGarurumon X, constant fighting and training to the point where Ciel could feel herself almost break down. However before she ever got to that point she pushed through becoming stronger for it and surprising the dragon digimon she was around. Learning from her new teacher eventually she started designs on a sword the same make as RizeGreymon X's own!
By then she had started to make a name for herself in the village, even getting help creating the new blade and prototypes to work with. At the start Ciel could barely lift the sword up at all compared to her own, slowly but surely though Ciel would start to move faster with the sword, cleaner movements and cuts till eventually she could move around as she did before she had the sword.
Then came the hard part, it wasn't easy transferring RizeGreymon X's fighting style to her own, still the leader of the village worked with her as best she could, wanting to see just how far the Sistermon could take this, to her surprise it was very far eventually lifting and attacking with the sword with the same amount of force as any dragon!
"Watching you swing that blade, heh. Never in all my years would I imagine a Sistermon battling like a dragon." RizeGreymon X joked walking a bit closer to Ciel, checking the blade out. "I suppose that's all you've needed, you're now an honorary member of our clan." That was quite the accomplishment but the leader just sighed and let out a small laugh. "Though you will not be here for long, will you?"
Ciel stopped attacking with her sword, swinging it upward and throwing the strap that was keeping it in place over her shoulder turning and facing the RizeGreymon X. "Yeah, There's still much more for me to learn, I won't stop until I've learned it all!" That was quite the claim, but Ciel seemed confidant she could do it.
"I bet you will, alright then Ciel. I shall tell the others you have left, though I must ask that you do come to visit us from time to time. Maybe for a match or two if you can." She smirked wanting to fight the Sistermon right then and there, but this was time for goodbyes not beating each other up.
"Of course, I'll be back when I can. I'll see you later, farewell!" Ciel gave a wave as her teacher flew upward into the air and back towards her village, Ciel though would set off in the other direction, ready to find a new teacher. A new way to learn how to fight.
At her workshop in Terminus Ciel sat with the light shining down on a weapon, it was a pretty massive cannon sitting on her table in a few pieces scattered around willy nilly. Ciel had her head in her hands staring at it for a while before letting out a sigh closing her eyes for a bit. She had decided to try and make one more weapon to round out her current set up, something large and powerful but she couldn't managed to figure out how to make it stronger.
Slowly Ciel got up stretching her body for a bit before walking out of her basement and up to her main floor, hearing a knock from outside Ciel let out a yawn as she walked over to the door and opened it showing a digimon she wasn't ready to see. It was a Imperialdramon! the Dragon mode version. Ciel held the door open with her eyes a bit wide in shock before clearing her throat. "Can I help you?"
"You're the wanderer right? Maker of all those weapons. Studying all those fighting styles?" Ciel just nodded making the digimon smile even more. "Awesome! I was wondering if you wouldn't mind learning from me! I've never gotten the chance to teach someone how to fight before! I figured this would be a good way to start."
Ciel was taken aback by this offer, usually it was the other way around and she was the one asking. Still with a smile and a nod she exchanged information with him and went on her day. Working with this digimon was a lot stranger then the others she had worked with, he seemed like he wanted to show off a lot more then really train but Ciel was learning from just watching how they fought, the destructive force of nature each attack had.
Ciel was close to an idea and one sparring match later and some input from the Imperialdramon and she had finished it, her cannon based around the dragon mode's own cannon! It was the strongest weapon she had made so far, just the weight of it alone was rough but she was able to use it. More training with the Imperialdramon wasn't needed but it was nice, she hung out with that digimon for a while till eventually he moved on, apparently found a boyfriend! Good for him!
Though learning about that did make Ciel think a bit more about her own life choices, what she had done so far. She had learned from so many different digimon so far it was unreal. She had gotten so much stronger as well. Sitting on her couch she wondered, if she trained with a mega level digimon then, maybe....
