Ch01: First encounter {Solo}

It had started pouring down with heavy rain then a loud crash, thunder and lightning? The electricity in the appartment started to go haywire before shutting everything off completely. The TV screen started glowing with rapidly switching numbers consisting of ones and zeroes before a portal-like opening appeared. Something came through and fell to the floor with a loud thud that startled the boy and the puppy both.

Yukine turned around and started growling with his tail lowered between his legs and his ears leaned back, it was certain that Yukine was frightened by whatever had just fallen to the floor as well as the weather outside as another crackling boom of thunder sounded through the air.

Ryo blinked as the electricity switched back on yet he turned around to see what the loud thump was, cautiously scooting forward and wearily peeking around the coffee table, he reached out his hand out to touch the mysterious device laying on the cold wooden floor, the device itself however was still warm.

When his fingertip touched the device he felt a jolt run through his body which made him wince at the feeling then a voice sounded within his head, it was unsettling "Go..roof..egg..Digital..world" the voice faded in and out until seeming to disappear completely. What? there was something on the roof? what was it? Looking down at the device, the screen lit up upon closer inspection it revealed a pale purple oval shaped object with dark purple stripes, the oval was shaking from side to side on the screen. Picking up the blue device Ryo shifted his eyes towards the stairs then to Yukine "Stay here boy, I'll be back so don't worry." He spoke softly to which Yukine barked once in reply.

Giving a small chuckle and ruffling Yukine's fur quickly Ryo started to move down the hall and climbing the stairs that lead up to the fire exit door on the roof. He wearily opened the door slowly and peeked around, everything seemed clear at least for now but the voice told him something was on the roof but the thing was it could have been any roof not just the roof of his appartment. He hoped whatever it would be was friendly but then he hoped anything he came across was friendly.

Ryo watched the purple furball hop up and down infront of him, it seemed friendly enough that it wasn't going to hurt him at least until it's body started to glow a white color, it grew slightly bigger with four small paws and a tail "Y-You changed? hell why am I even talking, I don't even know if you can understand me at all. Look at me, I'm having a conversation with some creature I must be going crazy!" Ryosuke whined slightly before heaving a sigh, his eyes locked down on the newly evolved Dodomon. The Dorimon simply kept its eyes on the being infront of him before twitching one of his ears "Hey! it's not nice to call someone a creature, I'm a Digimon which is short for Digital monster so I'm not just some creature. I'm Dorimon and you are?" The small digimon said with a huff.

Ryo blinked, moving his spare hand and adjusting his blue hat so that it sat comfortably on his head before tilting his head, he was surprised this digimon, no, this Dorimon could talk and the fact that it could talk was unique "O-Oh sorry, my name is Ryosuke but you can call me Ryo. Umm do you know what this is? Ryo said before showing the device to the small purple digimon. Dorimon quickly perked his ears up and hopped up and down excitedly "Thats it! thats a Digivice! you're my tamer! I finally found you after waiting so long!" He was clearly happy with his tail wagging as fast as his small body would let it.

Looking down at the Digivice puzzled and curious as to how a device from another world functions, was it a sign of his responsibility towards this Dorimon? He had to wonder if it was true or not, taming these creatures known as Digimon. Were their other humans that ended up in this situation? He had to wonder. "So..I'm supposed to take care of you? thats interesting, Dorimon. Mmmm I don't want to have to call you Dorimon call the time so how about I call you...hmmm Kano, like it? -- Wait you waited? How long did you wait?" He said turning his attention from the Digivice to his newly found partner.
