The cool evening breeze of Shibuya drifted between the pillars of the station, the lonely platforms empty and vacant which was...unusual. Immensely so. Normally this station was packed at this hour, full of commuters making their way home but that was not the case. The station was abandoned, except for one figure: a woman. The female strutted down the full length of the platform, confident steps carrying her towards an electronic sign.
“...Hmmm…” But, as one may have assumed from the female’s furrowed brow and scowling eyes, there was something very wrong with the sign: it was written in a text she did not recognise, at least not fully. Surprisingly, despite how the strange symbols were entirely alien to Aiko, a few of them seemed to be connecting inside her mind, translating into single letters. It did little to help her make sense of the sign as a whole, achieving the only end of making her suspicious.
“Free me…..” Then there was that voice, a subtle breeze upon the wind, a wisp of sound barely audible amid the near silent ambiance. Ah..she’d been working too hard. She must have been if she was hearing weird voices and having strange dreams. Yup. Any time now. Wake up. You just had to
Wake up. And suddenly, there was a third voice, not emanating from the depths of Aiko’s mind but from..a train? Wait, where did this giant train come from, why did it have an eye and why was it talking to her? So many questions, so few answers.
“Yeah. You. The human. You coming or what?”
“A talking train...Alright. I will bite. Show me what rails you ride Train.” The Trailmon rolled their eyes, groaning to themselves at having encountered yet another weirdo human. Aiko confidently stepped aboard the train digimon, finding a comfortable seat before casting her gaze over its interior. She wondered who, if anybody, else was on this train.
