When Yuu finally found his bike, he began pedaling his way home, Nyaromon safely tucked in his backpack.
"Where are we going, Yuu-ottousan?" She asked innocently while they exited the forest, returning to the edge of the of the urbanization "Are we going to have fun there?"
Yuu let out a sigh, did she ever got tired? He didn't like to type while he was riding, but he had no other choice if hoped to calm down the hyperactive in-training.
"Well, we are returning home, of course, he have a big trip ahead of us just tomorrow. Do you mind not asking me questions while I'm riding? I'd rather not to risk us suffering an accident because I was distracted typing".
"Does that mean that I'm going to meet the GRANDPAS?! YAY!" The little digimon squealed "Oh, I'm sorry Yuu-ottousan, you don't have to answer that question until we get home. But why do you have to use that funny device to talk? It's kinda weird... OH, I'm sorry again! I'll just stop asking questions... I'm a bad girl" She seemed to be sad for like 2 seconds until she saw how the neon signs in streets started to light up.
"Wow, so many pretty colors!" she said as she observed with amazement.
Yuu started to ride faster. It was night already? Hopefully their parents worked until late today because otherwise they would be worried sick already and her sister would have been waiting for him for a good deal of time by now. Finally, he got home.
"Nyaromon, don't say a thing until I say, okay?" the electronic voice droningly came.
"Okay, Yuu-ottousan. You can be sure that nobody will hear me!" He then proceeded into the house.
"I'm home!" he <said> while he took his shoes off and left them in the anteroom as proceeded into the main room of the house. From there, he could see how the door of his sister's room began to open.
"Welcome home, Yuu-niisan! How was your day?" The little girl said while hugging him tightly.
"As usual, nee-chan" He typed while returning the hug with his spare hand "I'm sorry for being late. I was caught up in... stuff"
"Don't mind it, nii-san. I just finished my schoolwork so you came just in time" she said while stretching. Yuu then heard a slight growl coming from her stomach and saw her face blushing. He let out a silent chuckle.
"Let me get changed and then I'll cook us dinner, alright?"
"Right nii-san! I'll help you with the table!"
While walking to his room, he felt his backpack moving and remembered Nyaromon in that instant. He was rather proud of her because she kept it quiet, but now he would have to think of an excuse to bring some food to his room to feed her.
"I'll lie to Mana-neechan?" That thought just didn’t seem right in his head, no matter how much he tried to be okay with that. Her sister was the only person in who he had absolute and complete trust, and the he would betray that? It weighed heavily on his mind as he changed clothes to something more comfortable, but ultimately, he left his room with his backpack still containing Nyaromon.
He carefully placed the backpack in the table just in front of her sister and began typing.
"Nee-chan, can I talk with you just a moment?" Despite the robotic voice's calm and monotone tone, he was rather nervous.
"Of course, nii-chan. What is it?. You seem to be rather nervous"
That was her sister. Even though his <voice> was devoid of any emotion, she could just tell how he was feeling.
"Yeah, this is rather hard but... Well, I think that showing it to you will be better than talking about it".
He then took out Nyaromon from his backpack and placed her on the table gently.
His sister gave him a radiant smile and hugged what she thought was a plushy.
"Oh, it's for me? Thank you, nii-san! She's very cute!"
"U-uh. She's not for you, nee-san. Nyaromon, you can talk now. She's Mana, my little sister"
Nyaromon's tail instantly latched around Mana's back, giving her a sort of hug.
"So you're my real okaa-san? Hi Mana-okaasan! I'm so happy to meet you!" Nyaromon greeted her.
Mana, well, she seemed petrified for a second, and Yuu could see she almost dropped Nyaromon to the ground just before hugging her even more tightly.
"We have a pet? That's great Yuu-niisan! She's soooo cute! But what's she, exactly?"
At least she responded way better than what he originally thought.
"Well, this is kind of complicated" He typed while he put on an apron and Mana played with Nyaromon like she was some kind of cat. "I don't know much myself, either, but they're supposed to be called digimons and someway, they just pair with somebody. So technically she's my partner".
As he continued cooking, he mentioned her more things he had learned about Digimon and what happened strange meeting he had in the forest with Duffer and Karin and their partners, Kotemon and Puttimon/Cupimon. Once dinner was ready, the three sat in there and began eating.
"So" Mana began "They change appearances as they evolve and their names change too? That won't do" She said with a strange kind of determination "I just won't let her have a generic name!" She seemed thoughtful for a second before her face lightened up "Kyo. She'll be Kyo. Are you okay with your name, Nyaromon?"
"It's soo-oo pretty, okaa-san! Thank you!" Kyo said between mouthfuls of food.
Somewhat concerned, Yuu started typing.
"One last thing, nee-chan. I think it's better for now if we keep Nyaromo—Kyo's sapience between you and me. I don't think that okaa-san nor ottou-san nor any of the adults will really understand all this digimon thing. I can trust you with this secret?"
"Of course you can, Nii-san" Mana responded naturally and Kyo seemed to nod too.
After they finished eating and Yuu did the dishes, he started typing yet again.
"I'll be in my room. You can have Nya—Kyo so you can get acquainted, but I don't want you to be up until late, right? I don't want you to be sleepy for school tomorrow" And with then, he left the room.
When Yuu entered his room, the two girls interchanged smiles at each other as if they were planning something.
"So, Kyo" the human started "Do you know sign language?"
Kyo giggled, but denied with her head.
"What's a sign language?"
Mana scratched her head, a little unsure of herself.
"Have you seen the device that Yuu-niisan uses to talk?" she asked, and now Kyo nodded rather vigorously.
"Why does Yuu-ottousan uses that funny thing to talk?"
The girl dropped her head on a rather sad fashion, the memories and images of the accident surging in her head.
"Well he could talk before, but... He had an accident and was rendered mute because of that. That's why he now uses that device to talk, but those things are rather new. Before, he had to learn sign language. See, like this" She started to make gestures with her hands that resembled symbols. "It's like talking, but with your hands. So, you want to learn?"
"Sounds like fun! I wanna talk with my tail too!"
Until her parents came, both Mana and Kyo became really fast friends and had an overall great time together.
"Where are we going, Yuu-ottousan?" She asked innocently while they exited the forest, returning to the edge of the of the urbanization "Are we going to have fun there?"
