Once a Bug, Always a Bug [Kima/Armor Hunt]

Kima, though hesitant to leave Sylvia, knew the older girl was right. After setting down her stuff she stood up just as Blaster's attack ceased. Meanwhile at Kuwagamon's roar about a noise ordinance, Blaster smirked before he said "Oh yeah. You're one to talk when ya started roaring loud enough for the whole forest ta hear ya so I figured I'd return tha favor." Blaster's smirk vanished as Kuwagamon made a move to dismember him with his pinchers via Power Guillotine. Blaster ducked to avoid the deadly pinchers in the nick of time. Then energetic music began playing from his speakers as the former DJ began moving to the music before he said "Beat of the Music." Instead of spinning on his horn though he moved his arms and leg swiftly attempting to hit Kuwagamon with his fast moving limbs.
Takoda decided to take Arata's example and move in from the other side leaping at the gigantic bug. "Rapid Claw Strike!" He then began slashes rapidly at Kuwagmon's carapace while Arata fired off his Gear Stinger launching rapid fire stingers in a machine gun like fashion which made Kima glad she wasn't getting stung by that bee.

Beat of the Music: Begins playing energetic music through his speakers before he begans breakdancing using his fast moving limbs to attempt to hit an a opponent or opponents who are close to him.
Rapid Claw Strike: Slashes at an opponent at high speed with his claws.

As the Kuwagamon gets assaulted by the three Rookies, he flies up and away into the air above them... Slicing clean through several trees with his Power Guillotine. He then just... cuts his wings and DROPS onto the the Rookies below, attempting to smash them into the ground with his feet (and catch Arata in his hand)! Unfortunately, Arata isn't able to get away fast enough and he is snatched! Who knows about Blaster and Takoda yet.
While Sylvia grits her teeth harder as she gets up to her feet shakily. "...Alright, whatever he's defending has got to be worth something..." She mutters, before rushing forward and sliding into the crater left behind by the Kuwagamon's emergence from the ground, and she starts shifting dirt around in an effort to find that yellow thing she saw... While trying to keep her sounds of pain low enough that the Kuwagamon doesn't realize she's doing it yet!

This was getting worse by the minute and Kima clenched her Xros Loader as Kuwagamon evaded the combined assualt by flying into the air before following up by coming down towards Takoda and Blaster while plucking Arata out of the air with his clawed hands. What could she do? Then she looked at her Xros Loader wanting to smack herself for being so stupid in this stress causing situation. Cycling through the functions of the Xros Loader she said "Pumamon! Ballistamon! Digi Xros!"
Takoda and Blaster began glowing as they fused together and when the glowing ceased the new form said "BalliBeastmon!" Now as a champion as a X2 form BalliBeastmon looked up in time to see Kuwagamon diving down on him before reaching up to block the dive by grabbing onto Kuwagamon's legs. "I'm not that easy ta take down friend." BalliBeastmon said in Takoda's voice but was using Blaster's inflections. Now how to help Arata was the question.
Meanwhile Kima had looked back at Sylvia's last known location only seeing the older girl was not there and by looking around she saw the older girl was heading for the treasure which stunned the teen silent. Hopefully Kuwagamon could be kept at bay long enough.

With the Kuwagamon held up in the air by BalliBeastmon, he is surprised! But he makes no effort to change his plan since the surprisingly strong X2 is just holding him up. He gives Arata a squeeze, leaving him to squeak loudly. "A-AAH! N-Nee-san...!" the FanBeemon cries out.
Sylvia grits her teeth harder, enough that her jaw actually pops like a knuckle as she digs around. "Come on, come on, you gotta be worth something if he's fighting this hard...!" She then brushes her hand over something smooth. "AHA!" She grabs hold of the treasure and holds it up in the air! It's... an egg. Or something. Yellow, a purple embossment on it like a pair of glasses. She narrows her eyes looking at it. "...What is this thing?!"
But she doesn't have much to worry about in that regard as Kuwagamon turns to her. "NO! GET YOUR MITTS OFF THAT, ENDO!"
"Endo? Really?" Sylvia asks before yelping as Kuwagamon breaks his foot free from BalliBeastmon and dives straight for her! The girl ducks and hits the dirt, because that is about the only chance she has as the giant beetle flies over her.
"FINE! THEN I GUESS I'LL JUST SQUEEZE THE LIFE OUT OF HIM INSTEAD!" The Kuwagamon roars, as he squeezes Arata harder!
"N-NEE-SAN! D-D-DO SOMETHING!"

Kuwagamon was surprised by BalliBeastmon's grip but that didn't get him to release his hold on Arata as the little bee was crying out when the giant bug squeezed him. There had to be a way to get Kuwagamon to let go of Arata but BalliBeastmon knew he had his claws full. Kima was getting nervous as she didn't know what to do. How could she help?
Meanwhile Sylvia had dug out what looked like a yellow egg from Kima's vantage point and Kuwagamon looked none to happy to see his treasure disturbed. Then Kima spotted a fairly good sized rock on the ground and picked it up. Hoping she wasn't making a huge mistake she lobbed it at the giant angry bug. Kuwagamon freed himself from BalliBeastmon's grip the inertia causing the X2 digimon to wobble a bit but stay upright. Kuwagamon, meanwhile, headed for Sylvia causing Kima's rock to miss its target.
When Kuwagamon threatened to squeeze the life out of Arata, BalliBeastmon crouched down like a cat and said "Not a chance, pal. Speed of the Puma!" BalliBeastmon then speed towards Kuwagamon looking like a blur to Kima's eyes before he used the lip of the crater to spring off the ground. That combined with the speed allowed him to get ahold of Kuwagamon's claws trying to pry them open to free Arata from his iron grip.

Despite the speed and power contained within BalliBeastmon, Arata was being held TIGHT by the iron grip of the Kuwagamon. Sylvia grits her teeth as she looks on helplessly as Arata gets the life squeezed out of him. What could she do?! What could she possibly do?!
"use the egg. charge it with your soul."
The thought came to her. And unlike the flashbacks to the Bureimon, this one actually felt useful. Charge it with her soul, huh? She gets up. "Hey, brainlet! Get your claws off my Arata!" Her Digisoul flares in her hand, and she holds out the egg. She flicks her wrist to extend her Digivice into her hand again, and holds it out as well. The screen lights up, and the words "Armor Evolution" scroll across it.
"Digi-Armor, Energize!" She shouts, as her Digisoul dives into the egg, causing it to glow along all of the various lines before it explodes into a golden Digisoul that resembles honeycomb, which surges up her arm. "Digisoul... CHARGE!" She adds, forcing the soul into a brightly glowing orb around her hand, which she then slams into the top of her digivice, and thrusts it out as light streams from the screen and into Arata!
"FanBeemon, Armor Digivolve to...!" The bee calls out as he begins to glow himself. The sudden burst of light causes the Kuwagamon to stumble back, his grip finally failing and freeing Arata.
"Honeybeemon, the Gatherer of Knowledge!" The light fades, leaving Arata hovering there as a Honeybeemon... the somewhat derpy looking armored bee looks at himself before grinning. "...Hey Nee-san? Thank you." He says before cracking his knuckles.
".......YOU... YOU DESTROYED MY TREASURE?! TO EVOLVE?!" The Kuwagamon roars in disbelief, before swinging at Arata and BalliBeastmon in rage.

BalliBeastmon strained with the effort of trying to free Arata and said "Ugh. Kuwagamon's gotta grip like an iron vice. I can't get tha claws open." After straining some more he tried to get his claws in to at least slow or maybe halt the progress of the crushing claws.
As for the egg Sylvia found she seemed to have figured out how to activate it as the older girl channeled the power of the Digi Soul and it began looking much like a honeycomb. Kima was just in awe of the sight as the words Digi Armor Energize were said by Sylvia followed by her saying Digi Soul Charge!
As a burst of light disoriented Kuwagamon the large red beetle released his grip on Arata and BalliBeastmon also let go of Kuwagamon in turn executing a perfect backflip landing with cat like grace on his feet. By the time he landed Arata had become Honeybeemon making him less vulnerable than before. Then in rage Kuwagamon roared taking swings at both Arata and BalliBeastmon. BalliBeastmon took advantage of his feline grace keeping just out of reach of Kuwagamon's claws. "Tha Digimental was never yours since you couldn't channel its power ta begin with and it wasn't destroyed. It is one with its true owner." BalliBeastmon said swatting at Kuwagamon to discourage the giant bug from getting to grabby.

"IT WAS MINE! MINE I TELL YOU!" Kuwagamon roars as Arata zooms up into Kuwagamon's face, just under his mandibles but in front of his jaws.
"Hey, Kuwagamon?"
"WHAT?!"
"You're a real bad bug." His stinger starts to glow a bright blue before he aims his abdomen at Kuwagamon's mouth. "BEE LASER!" And a huge blue laser beam shoots into Kuwagamon's throat! The giant beetle stumbles back, actually sounding like he is choking on the energy. After a moment of this, Kuwagamon falls backwards with a thud, and little stars circle his head as he gets KO'd by the energy. The Honeybeemon grins before fluttering down to Sylvia, and finds that he can look her directly in the eye with how big he is now.
"Hey Arata?"
"Yes, Nee-san?"
"Good job."
"Thank you, Nee-san..." He then lets out a yawn before glowing and returning to FanBeemon, then huddling up next to Sylvia before passing out. It seems he'll need some practice to get used to having that much power all at once. Sylvia smiles a bit, before dropping onto her knees too, exhausted and in a great deal of pain herself.

It was no use as it seemed like talking to Kuwagamon was like talking to a rock. That and all the roaring was beginning to get on BalliBeastmon's last nerve but before he could do anything Arata flew in front to Kuwagamon's face firing a blue laser beam down the angry beetle's throat. Kuwagamon stumbled for a bit choking on the energy it seemed before falling backwards knocking himself out.
BalliBeastmon then split becoming Takoda and Blaster as they headed back to the others with Blaster looking back at the unconscious Kuwagamon and said "Tha fella is likely gonna have some nasty heartburn when he wakes up. I hope that means he'll be less eager for a future rematch." He then turned and caught up with the others.
As soon as Sylvia dropped Kima was at her side again looking worried. "Are you sure you're okay, Sylvia? You don't look in good shape to me." Kima asked as she looked for any significant sign of injury. That and hanging around near Kuwagamon didn't sound like the best idea since there was no way to know when the red menace would wake again.

"I'm... fine. Totally fine." She grins a pained grin before shaking her head. "...Let's... Let's just go find some place to camp I guess and we'll see the damage, huh?" Sylvia finally says, before the gears in her head start turning. She looks at her Digivice and presses a couple buttons, scrolling through the menu before she nods. She flips it around and points the aperture at Arata. "FanBeemon, Digitize." She says, following instructions on the screen. Arata dissolves into a spiral of yellow particles and is sucked into the Digivice, and a little representation of him pops up on the screen. She smiles. "...Sleep well, Arata... We're safe now."
She then groans as she stumbles onto her feet. "...Ow... Ow... Mighta cracked something, I guess. I can't imagine getting smacked by a kaiju is very healthy for a human, huh?" She mutters, sliding the Digivice back up her sleeve and looking at Kima with a smile. "...But hey... Didn't go crazy this time, right?" Sylvia laughs a bit and puts a hand on Kima's shoulder.

When Sylvia said she was fine Kima was highly doubtful of it since Kaiju sized bug tried to deliver the smackdown to Sylvia and nearly succeeded but Kima did agree with getting away from the area. She called Arata into her digivice so apparently tamers had that capability too though Kima didn't know it was only possible for tamers through a bought modification.
"Yeah. At least you kept yourself under control." Kima said as Sylvia placed a hand on her shoulder.
Blaster moved over to Sylvia's other side and said "I can help if you need someone to assist you, Sylvia." Blaster was more than willing to lend his strength to help support Sylvia if necessary.
Kima looked back at Takoda and, if the red feline knew what she had in mind, said "Don't worry, everyone, I'll watch our backs until we are well and clear of Kuwagamon's territory."
Takoda's words put Kima at ease but one thing confused her regarding Arata. "Why is Arata so tired? His last battle didn't wear him out much."
"Sometimes when a digimon digivolves the digimon gets worn out from using energy from stronger forms they aren't used to. Before ya ask why Takoda and I didn't get wiped out it is likely because the two of us share the energy load when we xros so tha strain isn't as great." Blaster explained and Kima nodded as the words seemed to make sense.

Sylvia nods as she leans on Blaster. "...Thanks." She blushes, as if unused to asking or receiving assistance. She sighs gently.
"So uh... Hey Blaster... I have quite a few questions since you're so knowledgeable about this whole thing... But they can wait till we're safe." She adds, before rubbing the back of her head with her free hand before wincing as the group starts chugging along deeper into the woods.
But before they got too far, Kuwagamon sits up and groans, placing his two left hands on his head with a groan. "OH UH..." He looks around awkwardly. "S-SORRY ABOUT ALL THAT. I... I DON'T KNOW WHAT CAME OVER ME."
Sylvia glances back at the Kuwagamon and waves her hand dismissively. "You're good, Kuwagamon... It was a fun fight, and nobody got seriously hurt. We'll just leave your territory now."
"...YEAH... UH... THANKS." The giant beetle moves and settles himself back into his little crater and starts reburying himself.
